still fucks me up how adam was never even given a chance. his entire purpose in the game was to test lawrence. he was never supposed to win. lawrence was given every advantage and adam’s key washed down the tub before he even woke up. john never cared about adam passing he was just a tool for lawrence. and yet despite that he did win. he survived. and john left him. cheated him out of his reward. he wasn’t picked because he didn’t appreciate his life he was picked because he had been stalking lawrence and john wanted to see what lawrence would do if he found out. it was never about adam. but he won anyway.

my favorite part about Buddie's progression is that in the beginning, after their 2x01 speed run, you'll see Buck be curious and think - ah, Buck is the one who's pushing for something. In 2x04 he was asking about Eddie dating and then pulling the misdirection to introduce Carla to Eddie. he's being curious, involved, invested - maybe it's just amusing to Eddie, you might think. and then s3 hits. Eddie is getting Buck off the bed and informing him of new childcare duties. he's saying he trusts Buck with his kid more than anyone in the world. he's yelling at Buck in a grocery store for not being available to him. he's getting into a whole fighting era and then truly relaxing when he finally plays video games with Buck, with Chris in the middle. then you realize that Eddie saw s2 as courting and now Buck is fully inside the nest, whether he catches up in time or not. and then Buck just accepts, tries to catch up, and is still doing that. you thought Buck might blur a casual friend boundary and here comes Eddie with a steel chair of escalation that's gonna have everyone except Buck asking what are they
