i have a question, you view New Moon with one blue and one yellow eye, because he didn't have the kill code virus-

Then would your interpretation of EAPS!Moon also have them? EAPS Moon has the virus but it isn't as developed as Moon's was, would he only have a subtle red or full red like Moon? (This is how I see EAPS! Moon's eyes, a subtle red) That is if you have an interpretation of him.

(I like the idea of different dimension Moon's having different eye colors, like a metaphor for different phases of the Moon.)

I haven't really thought what Moonlight's eyes would look like

I wanna say it'd be similar to your suggestion, with his eye color being a red to blue gradient. Not sure if he'd the yellow eye, though. Depends on how good it would look with the red

I bet someone's asked this already, but what inspired you to start coloring New Moon with a gold pupil? I noticed it in your recent comic (OW MY HEART) but also in the recent thumbnail for tsams! I find it really cute and it's such a cool, simple way to distinguish New Moon from Old Moon. My crackpot theory is that it is golden because Sun is golden and New Moon always did have an eye on his big brother Sun.

It actually goes back to an old headcanon of what canon FNAF Moon's eyes looked like before he got infected with the virus. Similarly, in SAMS' case, it was to show that New Moon was, well, a new Moon. One who never had to deal with the kill code (which I headcanon is the original reason for why Old Moon has red eyes)

The biggest reason however, is to match Sun's eyes.

This was done to reinforce how New Moon was meant to be the "better" Moon. The one who treated Sun more as a proper equal, and was a better brother to him than Old Moon ever was (prior to his revival)

In that regard, your theory on NM's eye color isn't completely wrong lol

Since yesterday was Solar's birthday, do you have any headcanons for him?

Only two off the top of my head

- Solar took Sun to see that Willy Wonka prequel that came out last year after Sun expressed interest in seeing it (they both thought it was okay)

- While Solar's current set of goggles are from Earth, the original pair he had before his death were a Christmas present from Nexus. I've actually been working on a comic about that on and off for a couple months now. Time, my jobs, and other drawing ideas keep getting in the way of that, buuuut I can share some unfinished panels as a sneak peek (and to hopefully motivate myself to keep working on it lol)

So..I got a little question for you. since you draw sun and moon a lot have you ever tried to draw Frank or Francis? I wonder what it would look like in your art style

I imagine that this version of Solis would've either happened later on in the SAMS timeline (Like in @jayde-jots' au), or in an alternate version of the What If episode where Sun and Eclipse agreed to merge instead. Otherwise, I don't see things ending well for anyone, especially Moon rip

UPDATE: HE GOT MADE INTO A VRCHAT AVATAR!!!

Some trivia about today's SAMS video: I was originally supposed to be the thumbnail artist for the episode, but I ended up doing yesterday's instead. By that point, however, I had already come up with a concept for Servant Sun's "official" thumbnail design

I liked how it came out enough that I wanted to share it anyway. Think of it as a rare look at scrapped/cut SAMS content lol

I'm a little curious, what are your thoughts on the what if Eclipse and Sun merged video? I've been trying to come up with a personality for them but have drawn a blank. I'm also stuck on a name, so far it's between Nova and Solis.

(Context: instead of merging like in the video, Sun mucked up the eviction spell that got rid of Eclipse the first time.)

I don't have any strong feelings towards the video. I guess I was hoping for Sun's side to come through a little more, buuuut I also completely understand why they'd be so angry at Moon (speaking of, that episode reminded me of how much I hated the way Moon used to act lol)

As for your au, since he'd have both Sun and Eclipse's memories, while he'd be able to understand not only why Eclipse did what he did, and his feelings on it, he'd also know how it affected Sun and Moon, especially the former. Personality wise, I think he'd have Eclipse's smarts and resentment/anger towards Moon, but also Sun's kindness and love for his family. I think this would make Nova/Solis (I can't decide a name either aaaaaa) someone who, while willing to give Moon a second chance, also makes it clear that he will NOT tolerate Moon treating him the way he treated Sun in the past. He also doesn't fully forgive him for abandoning Eclipse in Sun's head either, even if he understands Moon didn't intend for that. He still loves Moon, but he's going to have to put in a lot of work to show that he meant what he said about doing better

I can also see Nova/Solis feeling the need to atone for what Eclipse did. One way he starts is by apologizing to Lunar for the way Eclipse treated him, and promising to be a better brother towards him. He'd probably also make finding Bloodmoon a higher priority. I think in general he'd struggle with wanting to be a good person (similar to how Sun had the same issue in the past)

But yeah, those are just my thoughts, anyway!
