I have been averaging about 20 QLs to watch each week this summer, I have about 46 queer films left to rate in my festival list, and I still have to finish my Pride Petty Watch (Pride is all year round in my heart, so leave me alone).

I'm DROWNING in queer content.

And I have never been happier.

Even the stuff I hate makes me happy because while I'm yelling at those dumb bitches, I remind myself that five years ago, I didn't have dumb bitches. I had dead bitches because shows were constantly burying the gays.

So I'm here to support queer rights AND wrongs while basking in the variety of shows we continue to be offered. There is something for everyone to like. And to hate.

sorry have the youth been spoiled by a plethora of sanitised gay content are they not pirating bad movies from decades past just because they heard it had a gay subplot anymore. these are not necessarily bad (/or gay) movies i guess but that jennifer's body vs ginger snaps poll going round and the top answer is "haven't seen either" what the hell????? i thought those were like tumblrina bible movies lol. also i didn't see drive away dolls but i did see a letterboxd interview with the cast and crew and they were asked about iconic lesbian movies and they could barely name any like ??????? i find it so wild. can't imagine being involved in literally tryng to make a lesbian movie and not having a good answer to that question. i feel like i spent most of the 2010s scouring this site for lgbt movie rec lists and torrenting them regardless of if they were actually good or not. & yes i feel like the response to this is "we don't need to do that anymore they are putting commercially palatable gay people right there in our netflix shows + movies!" but like. idk know your history i guess dkfnkjdn

I've never played much BlazBlue, but months ago I spent a while drawing Platinum the Trinity on a whim. I just have a fondness for this kind of character. You can tell the order I drew these in because the less I looked at my refs the more out of hand the bell situation got.

My dad and I had a really productive conversation about identity and labels and I thought sharing it here would be helpful...

The thing about identities isn't necessarily to tell everybody everything about who you are. It is to communicate what you think is important to share. For instance, I don't think it's important to identify as a vegetarian or any label like that, so I don't apply them to myself, even if the labels apply to what I practice. However, I claim manhood because I value it. I decided that I wanted to communicate my personhood and identity with that label. Take what you like, and leave the rest behind.

You don't need to feel as though you have to have a label for everything if you don't want. You can have a couple labels, you can have a million. It's all about what you decide to share about your personhood. The labels are for you to communicate and relate not only to society, but to yourself.
