Hi other anon who answered my question about the fic y’all had read. Thank you for reaching out, especially in such a respectful way, it means the world to me.

I didn’t post your ask because I don’t want this whole situation to make its way back to the author with its very identifying details. But I did want to respond because I do appreciate your ask. Please know this isn’t specifically at you, but at the entire situation that has been going on for the last 2 1/2 weeks. Thank you again for the respect and human decency you showed in your ask, it’s truly been a rarity lately.

No matter the content of the fic, whether I would read it or whether I wouldn’t, I am not going to police other people’s content. That’s not my job, not my desire, and not my place. It is disrespectful to not only that author, but to myself as well, to complain about someone else’s fic on a space that does not belong to you.

I have asked multiple times in the last week, as well as put it in my ask box rules twice, that people stop doing this, yet it continues. And then some of you take it one step further by using the degrading of someone else’s work as a way of making me feel uplifted???? As a compliment to me??? It’s gross.

I can’t even post a nice compliment towards my work because y’all would be out here making me look like an absolute dickhead.

I would rather you send me hate on my own work then you use other people’s work (that you read and consumed FOR FREE and I KNOW the majority of you anons didn’t show a single ounce of thanks to them) to try and lift mine up. Do not send me hate on my own work, though, if you think I’ve been mean this last week you’ll have whole new thing coming for you.

Also increasingly aware that a LOT of people "manage" getting through the 40+ hour work week by sleeping less than is healthy and relying on stimulants like coffee and energy drinks to keep them going.

For people who are unwilling or unable to do this...work really does just dominate your life. Like we really should not have to rely on unhealthy practices just to have a social life or keep on top of housework or whatever.

I know I post about this a lot but I'm so TIRED all the time and it's just so depressing that this is how we're expected to spend the one life we have.

I am an adult who has a full time job and responsibilities. I get to play maybe an hour a week. I do not want to lose that hour of progress because devs decided 'pause' was not allowed in their game and I had sudden unexpected things come up that meant I had to quit the game without saving/leave it playing and hope enemies wouldn't respawn.

Also it would massively increase accessability. I have fully working non-injured hands and they still need a break after a tough boss fight. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for people with joint pain, arthritis, etc, etc.
