I thought i escaped sims 4 but it's dragged my dumbass back again.
I hate this game. I need so many mods just to be able to just to fix it so i can play without being frustrated. but no matter how frustrated i get, i keep coming back : /
Anyways! Like my new little me? (i forgot what they're called. Avatar? *Shrug*) I'll put some more stuff (and doodles) about them under the cut
They're a candle! The body and oversize hoodie are all the wax and the undercut ponytail is the little flame (like Ember from Danny Phantom lol). Her feet are kinda goopy and her hands never show b/c the sleeves of the hoodie drip over them (sometimes driping off completely.)
i got kinda bored with my old one (drawing me but purple) so they got a little upgrade for my silly little personal doodles.

#random stuff#my doodles#idk what to call this#i will answer asks tomorrow#i started to do so today#but ran out of words halfway through#unfortunately i discovered the ultimate decades challenge in sims 4#which is fasinating me atm b/c it adds dice rolls to see if your sims live into each lifestage#and also the whole keeping track of how many years pass#i might keep this style of gameplay b/c i really like seeing how much time passes#and beign able to use my dice to add some randomness to my game is fantastic#it's been about 35 years in my game so far (with every 4 sim days being an approximate year)#my starting sim is now an exhausted 47 yo man#he had recently handed off his 'head of family' title to his only surviving son#but then the son died so he had to take it back#(i'm really hoping his grandson makes it to adulthood or i won't have an heir)#i'm pretty excited for the life and death expansion coming out soon#it goes well with this game since i'm gonna need those funerals lol#(also saw that your sims can have a baby with the grim reaper and that certainly has my attention : ) )#(that was one of the first things i tried to do when i first got the game)#(and i was so mad that it didn't work lol!)

Scene Awsten Hair (And some bonus clothes)
While I made hair for Awsten before, I was never satisfied with the shape of the scene hair, and for a long time I felt this base mesh from Backyard Stuff, which I kept thinking was from Cool Kitchen Stuff, for awhile, would be perfect. But the bangs went the wrong way, so I decided to mirror the mesh in Blender, as that is like the only hair related thing I can modify, but then the UV mapping on the back was off, if you wanted to know why I screenshotted a lot of low angles, so I fixed that. And I'm really picky about which direction bangs fall. :)
Due to it being a mesh edit, it should not require any packs, tho due to the UV mapping editing, this hair is just standalone. Not to fret! In case you REALLY want this hair mirrored with the default textures and UV mapping, I made that too.
Pictured above is how Awsten normally treats me in this game. Due to how I made all this hair for him, I am able to have outfits for him and up to 4 different hairs with all different colors. The tricolor I use all the time, red & black for a few specific outfits, blue for just one, and now scene for two. This only matters to me really, but in case you're like me and like your Sims to change hair style and color a lot.

As a bonus, as I'm never gonna get to share these otherwise, I made some shirt and shoe recolors for him, the shoes and long stripes shirt are extra swatches onto vanilla stuff, the striped t-shirt is standalone. I spent like an hour on the damn shoes, I am sharing them. Oh and fingernails too. Those come with a second swatch for Jack, so two swatches. All should be base game. The shoes and tshirt come with extra swatches, the long sleeved shirt just has the one.

I make a lot of random things and don't want to share if I didn't make it all or it's not half vanilla.

I've learnt how to input in python I will be unstoppable now

EA I'm begging you to stop releasing new Sims DLC and fix your fucking game
#i can't use the normal gameplay way to move my sim out 85% of the time#i can only move her through world edit#which means that if you wanna go to uni and live on campus? well fuck you i guess. your sim now lives in the void#shut down your game and reload an older save#im playing a super sim challenge and ive managed to live on campus for one of the dozen degrees you can take#im nearly done with the uni stuff and i want her to live on campus so bad but the game says fuck you#bc you can only move to campus through the regular gameplay way which is broken as shit#ts4#the sims 4#anne speaks

Alice came back from the dump, and I decided to have her maybe make some more bulk sugar or flour for cooking –
Except that, for some reason, she wouldn’t go where I told her. She just kept walking to and fro around the front of the lot, utterly ignoring everything in her queue. O.o I ended up having to reset her AGAIN so she’d stop and listen to commands. *grimaces* Which – this is getting worrying. I mean, I’m glad I’ve learned the power of the Shift-Click, but stuff like this REALLY makes me wonder if this save file is officially on its last legs...
-->Well, couldn’t worry about that at the moment – with Alice deglitched again, I decided to instead have her make some jewelry! Because that’s supposed to be a thing she is doing now. I had Victor give her the Alabaster he’d dug up in Oasis Springs the other day, and directed her to combine that with the punium she had on her to make a Raw-style bracelet. While she was doing that, Smiler moved onto to making mechanisms, as they now had enough computer chips for a Servo (we’re so close!), and poor Victor got attacked by the Fabricator, prompting me to send his Fun-wanting bum to the study so he could Tickle The Ivories on his piano. XD After completing a mechanism, Smiler then was sent upstairs to have a bath and write some jokes, while I watched Alice to see if she would finish her bracelet before it was time for them to head to Totter Park for their weenie roast...
Nope. Rather than running out of time, though, Alice was just overwhelmed by her werewolf instincts demanding she go outside, so I let her go out into the rain and let out a somber howl to drop her Fury to as low as it would go. From there, it was just a matter of waiting until 5 PM for the weenie roast –

And instead of getting the “start the event” pop-up, I instead got a couple of notices about it being Cheerleading Day at the high school and the Spice Festival in San Myshuno. Puzzled and annoyed, I waited on-lot for a moment to see if the pop-up would trigger, then tried sending the trio to Totter Park on their own to see if THAT would get the event to start –

#i am fucking neck deep in the sims 2 super collection and will not be resurfacing any time soon#so far nannies are causing ALL of my problems in this neighbourhood it’s actually ridiculous#tell me why this bitch; instead of waiting for my sim to get home from work and pay her; left early and stole one of our kitchen counters#and THE TODDLER’S XYLOPHONE?? what was it all for#then she refused to come back the next day so i had to keep the teenager home to watch his little brother. SHERYL WHEN I FIND YOUUUU#thank god i managed to resurrect his grades#also in a different family the kid aged up into the fucking whiniest person in the world. and i’m trying to find him a person#but he doesn’t like ANYONE. it’s exhausting. i’m playing the prosperity challenge right? which means i started out with four CAS families#all with kids about the same age. and i was hoping some of them would like each other so i could start merging families next generation#but one of my boys was like ‘nope i like this random girl’ and another was like ‘nope i found a really boring boy’#and another was like ‘i like the paper girl!’ but why do none of you like EACH OTHER. answer me that#i’m not sending all of your boring significant others to college with you. you can have your high school sweetheart with the alien eyes#because she’s pretty cool looking; but the cookie cutter boy and the paper girl might have to stay home to be honest#what else is happening. i mean i renovated a maxis dorm and built some really rubbish community lots#i’m horrendous at building. i go for function over aesthetics so i end up with really boring buildings#but the neighbourhood now has a cemetery; a general store/coffee shop and a roller rink/arcade#so that’s kind of nice. not that anyone USES these businesses. i sent one of the boys there to look for his future spouse and just found#somebody’s dad repeatedly falling over#maybe once they all get to college i can just do some sort of forced proximity love potion situation and they’ll HAVE to like each other#i don’t want to add too many households to the neighbourhood and only one of my original families has one kid#that’s why i want as many people as possible to marry off. aaand now I dont have enough space for HSR on my laptop (65+ gb) and now I'm retired from playing again.
I literally only went back to playing (after running out of space on my ipad months ago, which prioritizes Genshin) for Jiaoqiu since his JP VA is one of my favorites (I got him to E1L0 from what I saved up) and the only thing I was anticipating was the release of Sunday, next patch. Now, I'm prioritizing Sims 4 on my laptop and which I went from 16 to 70 gb of available space.
#desiree talks#desiree plays#i spent almost $100 on dlc for the sims since there's a sale#i got seasons/get together/city living/growing together/parenthood and dream home decorator#i spend a lot of time in live mode and have aging turned off#i am waiting on aging my daughter bc i want to build a bigger house (still in the starter home across from the BFF house)#when my sim got accidentally pregnant i had to keep all the baby stuff in the livingroom/hallway#and i want to add in a pair of fraternal twin boys next#i want to pick up one or two more things (at most $15) before the sale ends and#im debating between spa day(I literally just want to see sims do yoga at the gym)#crystal creations wedding stories and moschino for making new wedding rings and taking wedding photos for my sim (yeah yeah ikik)#or like paranormal and werewolves for the build/buy and CAS over the actual gameplay lol#or i can just buy some CAS kits and go ahead in making over each one of my townies#i swear to god they are so bad#like theyre either deathly pale or super dark there is rarely any inbetween skin tones#like i used a mod to generate more than one bartender at a karaoke bar#and they all had the same two skintones (only one was super pale) and three had the same afro back to back for their shifts??#wheres the variety#and then all the japanese named sims too#i'm going to find a mod that randomizes more cultural names bc this is weird#like before i got city living i wanted more asian sims#and now there's a bunch if japanese ones#can i have some chinese korean or like vietnamese and filipino?#i guess if you have for rent that would probably help but i dont plan on that yet#i mainly want to house all the single mothers so they can raise their kids and i have more teens available#my daughter is going to need friends her age eventually

did i procrastinate the tit sims render until now? yes. BUT i did finally find the phlonde hair for phil, i'm finally free
#sim dnp shitposting#now i have to only put together the background in blender#make a recolor of phil's outfit for which i need to download a new version of ts4 studio#and figure out dnps poses so they actually make sense#so basically everything apart from actually finding fits for them rip#and i decided to go more for the right vibes with the outfits rather then most accurate because i just didn't have the right clothes#but i think it'll look good!#i'm also going to try to make phil's jacket shinier in blender but we'll see how that goes#i'm so glad i'm excited for it again tho#i've had a rough time recently when it comes to anything creative#so much can still go wrong tho#for example i was ready to cry when i was trying to open sims today#because i suddenly got an error that my graphics card is not good enough to run the game?#the same graphics card i've been using to play it for a year? the one in my gaming laptop?#but i restarted the laptop and it works now so idk what that was all about#anyway#i'm crossing my fingers that everything's going to work now because i don't have that much time left

I bring this to you today, on 9/11, in hopes that you reflect on this day a little differently than how most Americans would. Let it move you to continue to boycott, protest and challenge your family, friends and colleagues. You have a bigger impact than you would believe.

I'd like to bring to attention the fact that the figures depicted above are a gross undercount of the actual number of deaths. I scoured the internet high and low to source my findings and not a single one could break down the devastation that befell an individual ethnicity. Instead, they lumped a bunch of ethnicities together, provided a general timeline, and called it a day, reinforcing the sheer scale of dehumanization propagated in the west. The only consistency between all the articles I looked up was the 4.5 to 4.7 million figure I've included above, and even then, they were all published by western media news outlets... the very same that have been so unreliable and complicit in the genocide of Palestinians today. So I have to take everything they say with a grain of salt.
We are not just numbers.
All of us have ambitions and desires and lives worth living.
With that said, this is your friendly reminder to:
Donate an e-sim
Donate to PCRF to provide Palestinian children aid
Donate to Pious Projects to provide woman with feminine hygiene kits
Donate to CareForGaza to provide food to displaced families in Gaza either through their Gofundme or their paypal
Donate to any of the vetted gofundme campaigns on GazaFunds to help Palestinians trying to flee Gaza.
And if you or someone you know sees or experiences a hate crime and can afford it, SUE. This is a more effective use of your money than most realise. The reason zionists act with impunity is because of the normalization of white supremacy and oppression of ethnic minorities. Challenging that in any capacity tells them that there are consequences to their actions and makes them think twice before engaging in hate crimes and helps raise all of us up against the systems currently in place that let them get away with it.
If you can't donate or spend any money, you can:
Do your daily clicks.
Boycott targeted companies on the BDS list (if you're like me and you don't want a single dollar to go towards anything supporting Israel right now, you can use Bdnaash to double check what products are okay to buy, but the BDS list is sufficient as it is a strategic attack and proven very effective thus far)
Flood your representatives emails and voicemails with how you won't be voting for them unless their politics align with an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Attend a protest, be LOUD.
Challenge your circle of friends, family and colleagues with conversations about Palestine. (THIS IS THE MOST UNDERRATED AND MOST EFFECTIVE THING YOU CAN DO)
and if you're really up to, be disruptive in any capacity that you can think of towards major corporations benefiting from this onslaught. (i.e. halting military manufacturers from production + shipments, sticking boycott stickers on products at your market etc)
And finally, if your country wasn't mentioned in the above excerpt, it was no deliberate omission on my part and I encourage you to come forward and tell your story about the suffering of your people so that this may be a learning opportunity for everyone.
