In 2023: My Chemical Romance performed their 70th show of the 2022-2023 Swarm tour at Punkspring in Osaka, Japan. This show was the last show of the Oceania-Asia leg as well as the overall last show of the Swarm tour. At this show, an unreleased song (titled "Eagles" on the paper setlist) was performed for the 13th time ever, with new lyrics, and Gerard Way wore a dark grey skirt suit with white scleral contacts and fake blood. The drum was a blank mirrored surface for the majority of the show, with "ENDLESS NIGHT" written on it before the encore. (🖤)

When he mentioned to me “I want to be a vintage cheerleader” I’m like “Okay, what era are we in? 50s, 60s, 70s, 40s?” and then he was like “Find me something that’s within possibly this color scheme.” (...) It was probably like 10 different vintage stores that we went to (...) And it happened to be as we were leaving one of the stores, I looked on a sale rack and I saw this like damaged, weird, vintage cheer dress that had no zipper, that had no hem. it was watching this for the first time that mcr tipped over from "awesome band i really fucking dig" to an all-time hyperfixation for me. ray's enthusiasm, the way they wordlessly jump into exactly the part ray's thinking about, the way those parts work together and sound so fucking wonderfully insane...like these are two very talented guys but they could only get as good as they are through dedication to their instrument of choice and their band could only sound as good as it does because of their dedication to working with each other and that's what it's all about baby
