Although, when it comes to how he thinks those scenarios would play out, it always end in some sort of tragedy

He might stumble over his words; he might end up tripping both him and Razzle in front of you

He might even bring you down in the process

There were too many risks

Too many possibilities of embarrassing himself in front of you

No matter how many times Razzle seems to try and convince him to talk to you, every conversation ends with an excuse not to

At some point, razzle just ends up deciding to do it himself

Dazzle stares at the letter held in your hands, eye twitching as you try to explain how you had found it earlier in your room. According to your story, you had arrived in your bedroom after a long run extracting machines and distracting twisted to help save your friends, only to find a little white envelope placed neatly on your bedside table.

The letter, once you had opened it, stated it had been from Dazzle. Which confused him to no end, considering he had no recollection of writing it. You had almost laughed while reading it if you were being honest. You've known Dazzle for a quite a while now. And, you've come to learn how he prefers writing. There's always a melancholic tone in his words, his sentences short and simple. And yet, at the same time, there's always a deep hidden emotion behind the way he chooses to phrase them.

Dazzle takes a second to look over at his polar opposite. And it doesn't take long to notice how Razzle seemed to keep his gaze fixated on the wall. You try to speak, noticing the growing tension between the two of them, but before you could get a word out, Razzle speaks up.

"So-! What did you think of the letter? You know, the one your holding? The one Dazzle sent?" Even now, there seemed to be an almost anxious tone in his voice. A brittle laugh slipping past him as he made quick eye contact with you before glancing away again. However, this time, it seemed to have fallen on Dazzle.

"Well... it seems to have an overwhelming amount of positivity, considering dazzle wrote this." You fiddle with the note in hand, rereading the paragraph after paragraph. There had been a lot of exclamation points—more than what would have been appropriate to use. Along with the unusual way each sentence had been worded, there was almost an alarming amount of 'please.' "And a lot of desperation..."

"Y-you don't... uh... have to answer it. I already know what you'll say..." after hearing the last thing you said, Dazzle only seemed to cave into himself, attempting to step back and give himself more room. But, razzle only continued to keep the both of them firm in place. His eyes shooting Dazzle a quick glance, attempting to reassure him of his worries.

Despite how awkward the situation had turned out, you had accepted the letter

The phrase "go on a date with me?" Being obvious among the array of sentences

Dazzle had seemed shocked when you accepted. Eyes widening as he watched you nod up and down

Yet, Razzle, on the other hand, had been fairly confident you would answer that way

Toons werent allowed to sleep until midnight, that was a strict rule that everyone was aware of, and one that the toon handlers took very seriously. Of course toons were innocent bqck in that time, but god knows what clumsiness they could commit.

Another strict rule, which annoyed you even more, was that Toons couldn't sleep together. To prevent mess as well.

The current situation in Garderview was bothering. No, no... "Bothering" is a weak word for all this. It is hell. To be take away from a comforting life in seconds leaved everyone, including you, too shocked to even process anything. Now you had to run and pray to find some machine that could save your life.

But deep down you had to admit the good parts of it, not that you would ever say "thank you" to Dandy. The stricts rules are gone, toon handlers as well... It leaded you to a idea.

Today, both you and Astro were just exploring the floors, in search of anything that was left untouched by twisteds, or even Dandy himself. With Astro, hide from twisteds wasn't that hard as you thought it would be, he always hided you behind him, warning with whispers about any nearer twisted. Even in danger, he was so careful.

"... I think my bedroom should be around here." Astro commented, unsure of his own words as his eyes searching around the area.

"Your bedroom?" You answer, in which Astro hums back as a affirmative.

Puzzled, Astro frowned during his search. Pieces of his remarkable memories coming back together. The wallpaper was familar, the floor as well, and as his eye followed these details, he came face to face to a door.

With little hesitation, the moon reached for the knob, and the moment a grasp was open, he reached his head to glance inside. A weird nostalgia coming to him.

When Astro opened the door completly, you could see what remained of his bedroom. Just from being behind him, you could see much of it remained the same, but the rest that wasn't untouched, was left in the ground, like small objects.

Astro paced to the inside, reaching for the switch. The lights flickered for a moment, but with a little patient, it standed still.

"Geez." He mumbled.

You walked to his side, a part of you worried about his reaction. "Well... It looks liveable."

Glacing to the side, you were caught by surprise when noticing Astro had a soft smile in his face.

"It does."

Relieve hit you. Your eyes followed Astro as he almost immediatly walked towards his bed. A chuckle coming from you, but deep down you couldn't really blame him for it.

His back hit the rounded bed, you could taste his satisfaction just from his expression, closed eyes and a small smile... This reaction was rare coming from him in those times, seeing all the struggles he and many others face.

You snapped back to reality, noticing Astro shyly reaching a arm from his coat, to your direction. It took you a few seconds to realize he was actually... Asking you to approach. Calm moments like those with Astro was rare nowadays, and even more back then. Even flurstered, you couldn't refuse the invitation.

With delicacy, you pace towards him, laying you body just by Astros side. For a second, your spine shiver, you forgot how cold Astros skin was, but you leaned to it quickly, resting your head by his chest and placing your hand over him.

Without both of you realizing, the doors was already locked, the blanket was covering you and Astro, and his second pair of arms were already revelead to wrap around your waist, bringing you closer to his cold skin. All you could do is rest over him.

Taking a quick peak from one of your eyes, you glance at Astros face. Eye closed, a soft smile set... its been a while since you saw him like this, specially with the current situation. Satisfied, you close your eyes, allowing yourself to finally rest in his grasp for once.

I am absolutely loving your Danyal Al Ghul au. While I have a soft spot for the whole plotline of Danny becoming his canon personality almost right after breaking away from the LOA all because of Jazz, I'm just as much for your take in which he goes through the same character development as Damian.

Now I'm curious. You already tackled his relationship with Dani, will you eventually take a stab at when he, Sam, and Tucker meet Gregor? Given that it's one of my hated episodes as I couldn't stand Sam's infuriatingly hypocritical attitude to Danny's suspicions of him, I'd kill to see your spin on it.

Aw, thank you! Danyal Al Ghul aus are what got me into DPDC first, so I have a major soft spot for them. That being said, uh, its exactly that soft spot that causes me to have Many Opinions about the trope you just mentioned. Like the trope is all fine and dandy, i don't blindly hate it, my main issue with it is that most aus i've seen treat his backstory as an ex-assassin more like a pretty cosmetic accessory rather than something that actually should have had an impact on him. Especially if he remembers being in the league.

Like i cannot stress enough the fact that being in an ecofascist assassin cult (regardless of his standing in it) should've left him, in some way or another, screwed up morally and psychologically because that's just how development works. Nature vs. Nurture is like a game of tug-o-war that never ends, where they are constantly fighting against each other and one side usually has the upper hand or greater influence. Children model the behaviors of the adults around them (ex: bobo the clown doll experiment), and what impacts them in childhood can stick with them permanently.

Like how my psychology professor put it: a baby's brain is like wet cement; if you slap your hand on it, it leaves an imprint, and the cement dries that way. The same rings true for small children.

I could go on, but I frankly have so many thoughts on that alone that I would end up completely derailing from the second half of your ask, and I don't want to be more critical than I already have. Especially since you just mentioned you have a soft spot for the trope.

Gregor! Man, I'll admit I last watched the show back in middle school on a dodgy illegal website (it had surprisingly good audio and visual graphics, and full episodes. But really annoying porn ads.) but I only made it to like season 1 before my hyperfixation faded and I lost interest. So I never actually saw the Gregor episode.

But... it is relatively easy to find free websites that stream Danny Phantom :), so finding the episode took me like. Thirty seconds. Plus the Tv.Tropes recap page because my damn earbuds just died and im out in public as of rn.

I'm not sure if I'll write something for the gregor episode like I did with Dani, since Dani's a bit of a special case in that she's a clone and tends to be a reoccurring presence in DPDC, and I thought the new dynamic with Danyal would be interesting.

Plus, I'm not a big amethyst ocean shipper for the pure reason of I'm just not all that interested in it; its kinda bland to me. I'll admit I've entertained the thought in this au due to the whole balcony scene i wrote, but I would've entertained the thought anyways if it was Tucker in that position instead. Big multishipper, me.

But, if I had to make it official? Danyal is not interested romantically in Sam when the Gregor episode happens, regardless of his relationship with Valerie. Who, speaking of I'm trying to think about how that would go, and I'm torn between including him almost-dating Valerie or not.

Because on one hand it helps point out Sam's hypocrisy (and i love her but i am always happy to point out her flaws and address them in au) in this episode in terms of Danny spying on them, but on the other hand I'll want to include a lot of set up in order to make Gray Ghost work in this au and wow will that take a while.

Especially with the Flirting with Disaster episode because it happens due to Technus' meddling, and Danny is, well, the son of the Batman? A trained assassin? An ex-assassin nonetheless, but still an assassin? A prodigy child in this au? He might not have needed to use most of his skills in the last few years, but like... there's just a bunch of 'what if' and 'well technically...' and 'would he? he could, but would he?' things that is getting in the way of my thought process and making my head spin.

Mmm. Okay. Flirting with Disaster occurs relatively the same as canon with a few exceptions; like Danyal noticing the strange coincidences, and he might take the idea into proper consideration because Sam has a point it is strange, especially out of nowhere.

However,,, he really enjoys Valerie's company, and he does really like her. He's been adjusting to civilian life for the last four years and while he's made a lot of progress, he's still. an ex-assassin child living like a wolf amongst sheep. This is normal, typical teenager stuff, and usually his friends like to encourage him doing normal teenager stuff.

So he's stubbornly holding out on the thought that this is normal, that ghost stuff isn't interfering here. He's a little hurt that his friends are discouraging this, he's not bothered by the fact that Valerie is a ghost hunter and he a ghost -- his mother is an assassin, and his father is Batman, and they still had a relationship. (Granted, he's not gonna tell them that)

If anything, being diametrically opposed to each other but still being in love is part of the family! Granted, usually both parties are aware of said opposition to each other, but he'll make a special exception this time around.

(And man now that i'm thinking about gray ghost, im now thinking about various like. scenes i could write between the two of them. maybe in a reblog.)

Anyways uhhh things relatively go the same as canon. Yeah. I think Sam still has a crush on Danny and still spies out of jealousy with Tucker.

Now, the Gregor episode! With that out of the way; the TVTropes recap for this episode isn't the best because it doesn't go into detail about the entire episode like it does with Flirting With Disaster and Shades of Gray.

(which i looked at earlier because I made a section of this post talking briefly about what changes I'd make to the Shades of Gray episode to help set up Gray Ghost, but ended up deleting because it was kinda irrelevant for the matter at hand.)

So I'm taking in bits of the episode clips at a time, I'll try not to get too nitpicky about how each scene goes because then it's gonna take me a longer time to write this.

But! First thing's first; since Danny is not romantically interested in Sam, he is also not jealous of Gregor. He is however, a bit eyebrow-raisey at him in their first introduction, but that's because Gregor is coming off as obnoxious.

Danny thinks he's kinda annoying, and it doesn't take a genius to see that Gregor is trying to impress Sam. But since they've only known him for five minutes he takes the good faith assumption and assumes that Gregor is genuinely trying to show interest in Sam's interests too because he likes her, so he keeps mum. The fake hungarian accent is weird, but it's overall harmless, so he doesn't point it out.

He does do the spying thing when he starts suspecting that Gregor might be working for the GIW. The episode only has this happen twice, but for the au this happens a handful of more times over the course of the week, with Danyal's suspicion steadily rising more and more each time.

Hah, when he brings up wanting to spy on Sam and Gregor because of this reason, Tucker still does his "woah! you wanna spy on Sam?" thing.

Danny immediately turns to him, completely unimpressed, and crosses his arms. "Tucker," he says, deadpan, "you and Sam spied on me and Valerie."

He uses a combination of his ghost powers and his regular stealth ability to spy on them. He's hiding in a tree when they're skipping rocks, close enough that he can use his powers to hear them talk but far enough away that he has a good view of their surroundings.

He's invisible in the cinema, but doesn't accidentally get in front of the projector. He checks the inside of the room for the GIW, and then waits outside the actual room itself, keeping an eye on the area and occasionally flying in to watch the movie out of boredom. It reminds him of being back on a recon mission with the League, but it doesn't end with him orchestrating someone's death.

Then when they're at the mall he stays in human form, blending in with the crowd. He runs into the GIW there, but realizes that they're not there because of Gregor; they're just shopping. They didn't show up at either of the last two locations, and he follows them to make sure they're not also trying to blend in. But they're literally just there for shopping.

Danny is rather pleased with this turnout; so far Gregor isn't a spy, he's just annoying. The next day at lunch he asks Sam how her date with Gregor went, and that's how she figures out he spied on them, because well, she didn't tell him that.

"Have you been spying on me?"

Danny messes with his food a little bit, and Tucker is sinking into his seat with embarrassment. He frowns, "Only last night. Those incompetent government dodos--"

His lip curls up; he gets all 'Shakespeare-y' (as Sam and Tucker put it) when he's insulting someone, "--kept appearing whenever Gregor did. I followed you and him last night to make sure he wasn't a spy."

A roundabout way of saying, "I was worried".

Sam is, as canon, furious. Danny understands why, he knows generally speaking that people don't like being spied on. But he's confused on just how angry she is, and is a little irritated by it.

"Why would you do that!" She exclaims, "That's way out of line, Danny."

"How? You spied on me when I was going on dates with Valerie." He narrows his eyes, and points his fork at her, "I'm not blind, I noticed."

"That's different, we told you why we were suspicious. And we don't have ghost powers like you do."

"I don't need ghost powers to sneak around, Sam, you've seen this firsthand. And I just told you why I followed you, I thought he was working with the guys in white--"

"So you think someone can only be interested in me if they're after you?" (this is a paraphrased quote, folks ;D)

"No! If that was the case I would have voiced my concern the moment I thought it. I don't get why you're so angry, you spied too."

Iiits.... a mess. Sam storms off with Gregor, Tucker tags along because okay, yeah, maybe Gregor isn't with the GIW, or maybe last night was a fluke. Either way he ends up tagging along. Danny overhears that conversation between the GIW and Mr. Lancer, and maybe he's right, maybe he's wrong; but something is up.

I've gotten to that scene in the locker room where Gregor tells Danny that he knows he doesn't like him, and I've paused at Danny's reply to say this: Danyal doesn't even bother trying to deny it.

"I know you do not like me."

"You're right; I don't."

"Ah, let me finish. I know you do not like me because you want to protect your friend, Sam, and I respect that."

"...That's correct."

"Good! Because I am going to ask her out."

"I had a feeling you'd say that," he stands up, claps his hand tight on Gregor's shoulder, and leans close to him with a threatening smile, "so you understand me when i say; if you break my best friend's heart, you're as good as dead, right?"

"Ah,, yes. I am so glad we got that cleared out of the way, and now I hope after we can.. how you Americans put it, hang out?"

In the episode he hugs Danny and gives him a la bise (which is that french greeting where you kiss someone on the cheek two or more times) after they end their conversation. But here, when he goes to do that to Danyal, Danny leans away, points an accusatory finger at him, and says; "Absolutely not; we are not close."

The next scene after that is like, end of day. Sam, Tucker, and Gregor walking away. Sam looks over her shoulder to glare at Danny, then gets forlorn. Tucker looks back and just looks forlorn.

(When did I start narrating each scene?? Eh, I'm writing this in brief spurts of time throughout the day. Don't fix what's not broke)

After that there's this whole scene with the two GIW agents that have been chasing Phantom all episode. They're there because they have Tucker's PDA that Skulker took, and it's got the information of their purple backed gorilla assignment on it. They've been going around seeing who Tucker associates with in hopes of catching Phantom.

Uhh ahaha and that is where this gets a little interesting imo, and also allows me to mention that im retconning Danyal's (already) redesigned ghost form. Which I've wanted to retcon even before this moment bc it was just too busy. I'll get to that in a moment.

The GIW suspect Gregor for being the Phantom because of his white hair and green eyes, which is all fine and dandy until you remember: Danyal (and by extension Phantom) has that very noticeable, rather identifiable facial scar that goes across the middle of his fucking face. The GIW could easily suspect that Phantom hides his scar with makeup if he's in disguise, but if they meet a kid with a seemingly identical facial scar and similar disposition? Hoo boy.

Solution? I've got two: Gregor is canonically a kid from Michigan who faked everything to impress Sam. Considering he knows she's gothic and knows that she's ultra-recyclo vegetarian? He probably watched her from afar or got information on her somehow. His hair is dyed, his eyes might just naturally be green, but if he notices that she's got a crush on either Danyal or Phantom? A little sfx makeup could help him recreate a similar looking scar.

My second solution that's gonna happen anyways bc its that suit redesign; Danyal does hide his face as Phantom. Ghosts are emotional creatures and its a popular headcanon that their interests, ambitions, etc, influence the way they look as a ghost, not just their death. A big reoccurring theme of my au is that Danyal did not leave the League unscathed, and that being an assassin is an important part of his identity.

So i'm discarding the hazmat suit look entirely and leaning into the 'assassin' thing. But the general (stylized) feel is like, white ribbon/cloth vambraces that he has used as a garrote at some point, a hood, a gaiter scarf-type thing. I'm keeping the cape. I did a doodle a few days back that's not the official redesign, but a redesign for Phantom. I may reblog this post with that attached because it's got the general feel down. There's very little white involved, but the inside of his cape flares out and looks like the night sky.

Now, the hood and gaiter scarf gets rid of most of the problem, but Danny's hood doesn't stay on all the time, so the GIW have likely seen the upper half of the scar. :] Gregor's own drawn-on scar doesn't have to be 1:1, but it looks close enough, right? A small scar cutting through the edge of his brow and ends right below the corner of his eye. A 'cool, badass' one opposed to Danny's 'garish' scar.

But! Back to the episode scene. Canon Danny gets written off as being 'too prepubescent' to be Phantom, and honestly it'd be hilarious if Danyal was written off for the same reason (he's calling them idiots in his head if they do). But instead -- leaning into the GIW's incompetence here -- he gets written off as being too mature or too talkative. Or something equally as absurd.

Sam breaks up with Gregor for canon reasons, but when Gregor does his "i really like you, but, come on-!" and gestures to tucker, he adds on "and that scary friend of yours too, seriously!"

Things go relatively the same as canon after that. Danny does end up apologizing for spying, however. Sam does it first. Sorrows, prayers, all that.

Things usually end up changed or different when I actually write it down, so I'd likely add more or adjust different scenes according to the flow of the oneshot. This is just like, a general vibe of how things would go, and where some of the more obvious changes would be if I did write this oneshot.

Leshylamb are probably the most friendly towards eachother, they're in a qpr fun fact!! They bond the most easily but it's quite rare for them to catch up? Leshy is busy on missionary parties and then catching rest for a day, while Allure has to keep up with cult maintenance and usually their own personal crusades- but that explains these two deciding to go on a personal crusade with eachother. 😭 its really funny cuz leshy could be tossing allure up in the air and hes shouting at them like "SO HOW HAVE YOU BEEN DUDE!!!!!!" And allure casually swings a heretic head off and looks back at leshy like "OH IVE BEEN DOING RATHER DANDY!!!!!!!!!"

Lambket is ,, sorta uncommunicative...? Heket doesn't really have a clue on why Lamb likes her so much 😭🙏 theyre too afraid to tell her anything beyond that but thats just their brain still believing shes gonna get angry at anything they say. As much as she is a hothead (she has the hothead trait anyways), it's not like Allure is th subject of that nearly as much-- she's grown fond of Allure like how fond she is of Shamura, nothing can quite compare to that fondness of hers. They both feel like they need to walk on eggshells around eachother, but it's far from that verbatim, the relationship definitely needs more communication LAMFOSFJSL

Kallalamb... ouh. Oh Boy. Oh Man. The real times they "spend" time together are either,, COUGH, apparent Accidental Intimacy, or actually just bullying eachother 💀🙏 allure almost killed kallamar one time during sparring too and it left the two to not talk for what, like, WEEKS? Allure apologized for giving kallamar The Almost Casual Beheading and shi was like "im not fucking forgiving you" (shi proceeds to giggle and kick hir legs when they leave the tailor parlor because shi finds it funny whenever they apologize for something). Buut yeah,, Definitely Enemies,, with. With No Homosexual Intent (BRO ALLURE CAN READ YOUR THOUGHTS !!!!! THEY KNOW YOU'RE GAY !!!!!!)

Lambmura is domestic and theyre literally just like an old married couple- either getting on eachothers nerves (on purpose usually) or spending too much alone time together. Allure frequently asks to sleepover at Shamuras shelter because they like to sleep next to their spouse ,, shamura doesn't rlly like sleeping over at allures leader tent? So ? Theyre so domesticated and silly but Shamuras memory usually gets in the way and they feel like allure is dead if they dont see them for too long. Thats what usually triggers an episode within Shamura ,, so ,, Allures clinginess is a little Worsened because of that- trying to reassure Shamura theyre alive- shamura is the calm and collected one after all ,, they dont like seeing shamura genuinely upset

Narilamb is complex in itself. Narinder is the more or so clingy one, but its a little toxic...? Because hes a bit *too* codependent on them...? The main reason anyways is because narinder doesnt wanna experience death for a second time, he still recalls his original death already being,,, Brutal. ??? SO . HE KINDA HAS THAT RIGHT TO BE AFRAID . but thats the toxicity, because its not like Allure would want to kill narinder ever again?? He has high expectations for them and hes a mortal now. Allure is aware of these high expectations and just shrugs them off, cuz, well, what else are they meant to do in fixing Narinders issues if he isnt able to better himself? Narinder /eventually/ does get better mentally but even so its tough to describe their relationship without it being pretty toxic in the first place

,,, Annd with that , basically narilamb and leshylamb are in qprs! Kallalamb is more of. Like. A situationship? At that? Kallalamb usually has their private moments and theyre well aware of this, and yet they *still* choose to hate eachother LMAOOAOA theyre clearly able to stop putting up this act but at this point it feels Natural to continue this hate phase

But yeah!! They all have complexities, even if it doesnt seem too like it!! Very fun to build these pairings up :>c

Glisten from Dandy's world is my second favourite character, but he suffered so much. Like, (by the theory) he tied up his own arms with his ribbon to not attack his friends once he'll become a twisted. When you find him on one of the floors, at least one person has to stay with him because he keeps saying things like he doesn't want to be alone, and when you walk with him, he says he's thankful for your attention. He only attacks once all the machines are complete, bacuse he doesn't want you to leave.

you don't know what you were thinking when volunteering to look after the newly imprisoned harbinger, but looking back on it... you probably weren't thinking at all.

in his cell, he has you pinned to the ground, grinning wildly at you as he overpowers you in a show of strength. he wants the map to the fortress that's just jutting out of your pocket, but like hell you were gonna give that to him. if he's smart enough to catch you offguard, he's smart enough to plot an escape. you weren't taking your chances.

he laughs in your ear, and you see that the sick bastard actually likes seeing you struggle against his grip. "oh come on, pretty, just hand the map over and all will be good and dandy. i'm not asking too much, am i?"

"you're asking too much," you growl back, and the little shit laughs louder. while he's distracted by his own amusement, you find moment of weakness and kick him in the shin, to which he collapses on top of you. you roll him over as he clenches the pained spot, and before he can react, he has a baton to his neck and a glaring guard in his face. "assaulting a guard can add to your sentence, inmate. you should've thought of that before attacking me."

he continues to grin at you, and you start to wonder if he's even listening. "well, if a longer sentence means getting to see that pretty face of yours, i'm not too opposed to it." he sighs dreamily as the baton digs further into his neck. "especially if pretty can actually beat me up."

your lips curl into a disgusted scowl. "they say that the eleventh harbinger was questionable, but i didn't think you'd be this depraved." you dig a heel into his gut and he chokes out a pained laugh. "luckily, the fortress of meropide seeks to reform all criminals, no matter how sinful they are. now—" you deliver a swift kick to his stomach, sending him rolling back. before he can even push himself up, you stomp on his back and he falls to the ground once more. "you will beg for reformation, for us to clean that tainted heart of yours, harbinger."

"beg?" childe's head is spinning, and his heart is beating so loud his ears might burst. he can feel the burn in his stomach, and the heavy pressure of your boot digging into his skull. he didn't know that being visionless could make him this weak, being beaten up by a mere guard. "oh.. heh, i could beg all you w-want and more, p... pretty."

as you stomp on him again, a slight moan comes from him as his cheek hits the metal again. or maybe he wanted this. to receive a beating from someone as pretty as you. "disgusting. beg properly, harbinger, and do it right."

fuck his spine was almost halving. "p-please, reform this harbinger..." his begging comes out broken and wheezing from the pain, but there's an alarmingly wide grin on his face as he does so. "make me... urk... make me clean... i'll do anything you ask. p... please!"

a startling silence, but judging from how you lift your boot from his back, you seem to approve. "hm. passable." you watch your newest prisoner collapsed on all fours, shuddering on the ground as he revels in the warm pain blooming through his body. "reformation starts now, inmate. let us work together to correct your errors."

"surely you have something to say to me, hm, young master?" you ask languidly, sifting through the documents in your hand. you're lazily stretched out over his office chair, playing around with the official seal of his family, yet you sit like an emperor on their throne. you cock your head at the young master, looking as bored as ever. "if not, i might just report this to the raiden shogun herself."

ayato sits like a commoner before you, heels digging into his behind as he glares at the floor. your figure is a shadow against the elegantly painted washi paper, and with only the moon and a flickering candle for light, it seems like your piercing eyes are the only features he can make out. your military cap tilts with your face as you regard ayato with indifference.

"nothing to say?" you sigh and let the papers drop. these are sealed, important documents, but when one drifts in front of his face, it almost seems like mockery. "ugh, i have to write up a whole report now thanks to you."

"wait." ayato grits out, still boring holes into the wooden floor. "p-please. don't release this information to her majesty, please. ayaka and thoma... they don't deserve this." they were only doing what was right. to clean up the mess your raiden shogun made. "we can handle this in private, just... just not..."

you sigh again, and it makes him bristle. you're acting like this is just another day for you and not the near doom of the kamisatos. "you're making an awful lot of demands for someone who's kneeling." you grin at him, those teeth looking predatory as you study his red face. "haven't ya ever heard of... 'sealing the deal'?" you tap the armrest with a sharp nail. "come here."

ayato begins to stand, but freezes when you shoot him a dissatisfied glare. "aren't you making a request? people who beg don't stand— they crawl. now again—" you tap the wooden armrest again. "come."

he doesn't have to do this. he shouldn't be doing this. he is the master of the kamisato estate, and he has more dignity than being reduced to crawling on the floor. but that's exactly what he finds himself doing. dragging his loose yukata against the floor as he knees you, clenching his teeth as he avoids your leering gaze, he's painfully aware of how disappointing he must look like to his parents above. the cold night air hits his skin, and his cheeks burn bright when he realizes just how loose his yukata might be when the cold hits his pale chest.

"good." you hum, stroking his hair. he couldn't help the euphoric shudder when your fingers graze his ear. "now, it's time for me to hear you beg properly."

Shelly is a sweet and caring toon who loves to talk about dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures/plants. She has a fear of being forgotten though, and being ignored doesn't help...

Maybe all she needs is some love and recognition...?

Didn't really know what to do for Pebs and I couldn't figure out how to draw the color so I got rid of his dead inside look and gave him a little bone bow tie!! (Just like his owner :P)

Pebble has a bit of a staring problem and gets a little angry when his treats are taken away, but he's overall a good boy.

Sprout is an overprotective toon (especially to Cosmo) ever since the ichor incident, he's been a bit more closed off and bold, seeming less kind. Deep down, however, he's still the same cheerful sweet toon, he's just more focused on survival now. He often brushes off other's worries due to circumstances. He still loves baking with Cosmo when he can.

Making two sep posts since there’s minor spoilers for Infinity Castle in Azusa’s ⬇️

Name: Azusa

Age: 22

Height: 5’8

Breathing Technique: I originally had her as the Lotus Hashira but then I read the manga and found out about Kanae and went OOP gotta change it lmao. I thought about her being a Crystal Hashira, derived/trained from Gyomei but I never fully decided.

Personality: She’s very calm, cool and collected, kinda like the mediator and has a “mom” presence about her. Whenever inosuke was being Chaotic, she’d walk over, place her hand on his head and go “Now, now, let’s calm down a little hm?”

And as much as inosuke wants to be like 🤬🤬🤬, she has this calming presence around so he grumbles and is like “I’ll try my best I GUESS.”

History: im 100% Just copying and pasting with minor edits what i sent to my friend bc i don’t want to write it properly lmao.

So her family and the Wisteria estate were close friends. When she was 10 her family was killed by demons but she survived and the Wisteria family took her in bc: Friendship™️ and they had a son who she was really close to and they were best friends and whatnot.

Growing up he always said he wanted to become a Hashira bc that’s who his family protects and he wants to honor them, so it was his ultimate dream. And when she was 16 the son admitted to being in love with her but she didn’t reciprocate. So even though he was hurt, he accepted her decision and went off by himself at night to have some alone time.

W E L L He dies By demons And Azusa blames herself bc she tells herself that if she just told him she loved him back then he wouldn’t have gone off on his own and gotten killed. Which is one of the reasons she went off to become a Hashira so she could protect her loved ones and also fulfill the son’s dream . So she goes off, joins demon corps And it’s all good and dandy.

She’s super focused on achieving Hashira status And then she meets: Rengoku And at first she was friendly with him, ya know being civil but then he kept being extra nice to her and just treating her so sweet etc etc etc that she could not help but fall in love with him even tho she was scared bc she’s just reminded of The Son.

They eventually start “dating” but in secret and the only person who’s aware of it is Ubuyashiki.

First Kiss: Their whole relationship, they’re basically dating without actually saying it. One night they’re alone and Rengoku just suddenly asks “my love, will you do me the honor of being mine?”

And Azusa just looks at him and goes “if you’re calling me “my love” then you already know the answer. I’m already yours.”

And then she gently grabs his face and gives him a Kiss™️

Mugen Train Arc: I decided that Azusa is not there on the train but back at home. I also decided that they were engaged and her ring is on her finger while Rengoku’s is a necklace. Rengoku tells Tanjiro to tell his wife that even though they weren’t officially married, it felt like they were every second they spent together. Tanjiro doesn’t understand at first but then Rengoku pulls out his necklace and he recognizes it as the same ring on Azusa’s hand.

Very much movie scene in my head when I pictured this but when the other Hashira find out about Rengoku’s death, Azusa’s crow is the one to come tell her. You never fully see her face, just her walking with the camera stopping right under her eyes or an aerial view from behind as her crow flies next to her head. She gets the news and clutches her ring to her chest.

Infinity Castle Arc: Tanjiro and Giyu are the ones that go and fight Akaza and Azusa is there too. So when Akaza sees her he’s like “and who might you be?”. And she’s staring at him and says “my name is Azusa Rengoku, you killed my husband”

She’s about to just go straight in and murk but then this other demon shows up like “no no sister, you gotta go through me first”. So Azusa ends up fighting that demon while tanjiro and giyu fight Akaza.

But long story short the demon incapacitates her and is all “I think you’d make a good edition to the team, let’s see how you handle killing your teammates” and then forces her to drink muzans blood, turning her into a demon. She’s struggling to not fight tanjiro and the others but either he or someone else has to kill her bc it's too much to fight her/keep her away while also fighting Akaza.

They successfully kill her but right before she dies she sees Rengoku above her and holding his hand out for her to take.

"geographical based" hate can range from "my sportscity has a rivarly with yours"/"my sportscity is ritually beaten by yours in a big public humiliation spectacle and im tired of it" to "i hate that city/state i think they should be blown off this earth and we would be better off for it"

"media coverage based" hate can range from "i think your social media presence is annoying"/"i roll my eyes when panels bring up these teams in discussions" to "the people you employ/give access to cover your team are awful it pisses me off and its a waste of journalism"

so players i really like outside the conditional clauses in above mentioned blocks of texts there are few and far in between... but as of late zetterlund has charmed me and while i turned on sharks games to watch shaken macaroni martini and the kid named dogfood like everyone else is when i had nothing else to do because theyre fun! its fun hockey!! (when theyre not going through the horrors of sharks hockey) i think my twt algorithm kept putting zetterlund in front of me and eventually i imprinted like a little duck on him so now i just find myself turning on games and focusing on him. and thats the best example i can really think of as of now.

tldr; cats are my faves, i would consider pens my second fave but even that is a little wonky because i think wild might start becoming my second faves at this point, i enjoy the ducks and sabres. sharks and nucks are cool and i always root for them when theyre not facing my team. and preds have juice! i like juicy couture he gives me special feelings! and i hope that answers that clear enough someones gotta be a "mary mary quite contrary how does your hatred grow" around here

Saw you on my dashboard and realized i must have followed you at some point and woah… its crazy to see your blog now… when i was a little kid i was obsessed with your book. I distinctly remember bringing it to Hippie Jewish Summer Camp and creating a weird little kid book club which created a friend group of the few kids in the girls bunk who were interested (interesting to note that im pretty sure all of us who read it are No Longer Girls but thats probably correlation not causation or whatever) and went into the woods to figure out how to avoid being eaten (the solution was usually to leave the woods). Until one of my friends took your book out to read in the rain. Anyhoo it is nice to find your blog and see you supportive of trans rights and against antisemitism bc i know what it was like for some of my friends to find out that their favorite childhood author was very much Not Those.

Sorry if its weird reading about a bunch of kids reading your experiment but it is a good memory for me. Thank you for that. Not sure if i believe you. Still not sure but i guess the alternative is believing humans are alone which is kind of depressing.

Anyway my question is how do you recommend i get my hands on physical copies of your books? (I know your blog is online and all i just much prefer paper than staring at a screen for hours) I know I had a copy of the first one when i was a child (still do) but i don’t actually have any memory of how i came to acquire it? I mean, i can see listings for them on Amazon but i would rather not support that whole monopoly (and it probably wasn’t how i got the book originally because i didn’t have access to online shopping as a kid and i mean, you gotta admit its kind of a weird choice of a book for a mom to buy a twelve year old. No offense.) and if its on bookshop i can’t find it in the sea of normal cookbooks. If possible id like to buy them in whatever way supports you directly! :)

You and some friends were always planning to do things together, but something either always came up or you chickend out. When your friend came begging you to come with her to a party you thought it was you first chance at going to one of those parties everyone talks about.

You get dolled up all nice and pretty wanting to look your best. You got a text from your best friend saying that your crush would be there. Of course you had to look your best when it came to him.

To get to the party your friend would pick you up. You snuck out at night making sure Shinsou, and Aizawa were asleep. Shinsou wouldn’t really care, but you still made sure to do it at a time you knew they would be asleep at out of the way.

At the party you found your crush. You two actually hit it off pretty well. You both were having a good time. Your friend left somewhere with her boyfriend. But you automatically know where they went. So you decided to make the conversation a little bit fun with drinking. I mean your friend does it all the time, and she’s fine, so you thought nothing could go wrong.

Meanwhile at home Aizawa got up from his slumber this usual happens because of his messed up sleep schedule. He goes in Shinsou’s room to find him sound asleep then he enters yours. He looks around quickly thinking to himself that everything is quite dandy, and goes back to bed. It’s not until checks a second to make sure his eyes wasn’t tricking him to realize you were gone.

Oh now it’s bad. Where could you be? Did you runaway? No. You had no reason to run away, so where did you go? He quickly wakes up Shinsou, and asks where you might be, and he doesn’t know. Now Aizawa starts to overthink the possibility of you being kidnapped. But no. Not that either he sure he would’ve heard something.

He didn’t hear any struggling or crying at night, and he’s sure he’s already woke up like 3 times already.

He goes to sit on the couch in the living room and stares into space. Where could you be?

A couple hours pass and Aizawa hears the jingle of keys at the door. He jumps up to answer it. It’s you, but you look horrible. Your hair is messed up, your makeup looks terrible because your mascara has flowed down your face almost like it was your dried up tears, and your eyes were red.

“Oh doll where have you been?” He says in a worried tone you pay absolutely no attention to.

“Havinfundumbass..” Your words are slurred together in way Aizawa can barely understand, but he understood enough for his heart to drop to his feet and tears start to well at his eyes.

“I-I was worried, and you didn’t tell me anything so I was making all these assumptions and-.”

“And I don’t care-.” You stumbled all the way to your bedroom and plopped face down indicating to him that you were tired.

Aizawa gave up, and he decided that he would deal with you in the morning.

You got and did your morning routine just like every other morning with you. You went into the kitchen to see your father making breakfast. That’s when it all hit you again. You were being a bitch to your father.

“Hey dad..”

He ignored you. He didn’t even spare you a second glance.

“I’m sorry.. I should’ve at least asked or something..” You thought this would work because it worked all those other times you did it to get yourself out of situations like these.

But again he ignored you.

That’s when tears officially started to run down your face and your hands start to shake as if you were holding in something, and just can’t take it anymore.

“Dad, dad I’m sorry okay. It was stupid please. Please don’t ignore me I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Even as you kept repeating yourself as in you were saying a mantra you still felt a hole in heart.

“Do you know how it feels to think your daughter ran away or worse? The person you love so much? Thinking they just got up and left. You don’t think [name]. Nonetheless I forgive you.. just-just don’t do anything like that again?”

“O-Okay..” Your lip formed a pout as you turned around to leave to go to your room. Even though you were forgiven you knew he wouldn’t forget that night, and what you did.
