there is now a toon that likes trains. so i must inflict him with the submasisms and other assorted tism things

(no spoilers ahead i prommy) (also kind of a long one)

for starters, Dyle is extremely schedule-centric, absolutely despises it when things don't go according to plan. he also plans out his weeks in advance and dislikes things being cancelled without at least a day's notice

he usually acts classy and suave and whatnot but on very rare occasions he will get excited enough to speak extra loudly and that's also when he uses a lot more train terminology (which he tends to suppress most of)

piggybacking off the previous paragraph, he has to physically stop himself from calling people his "passengers", referring to the kitchen as "the dining car", etc etc.

he likes making train puns but gets embarrassed doing so in most situations

um. whenever he points at something he does it like a subway conductor's "point and call" pose

also Gardenview doesn't use the traditional Zebra Stripes to align the trains, it uses "Rainbow Stripes" because yes

the holiday toons are envious of Connie, because why did *she* get so popular that she was changed to be a permanent toon... they don't show it much though, why spend the little time they have to hang out with the others moping, they do it when self-isolating, because they're upset anyway, that's when they let their jealousy show. also Delilah secretly changed Cocoa in case she got popular like Connie did, but it never went through and finished.

I haven't seen much head cannons revolving around the founders or toon handlers.

Everything I see is either Evil Delilah and goofy two shoes Arthur or Sam kicking Sprout or something.

I'm sure this might've been asked before but I only recently started following so I'll ask anyway.

Do any of you have any interesting or in depth head cannons about the founders and toon handlers (All or One of them I'd find :D )

This headcannon of mine isn't that in-depth, but you asked for one. Sam sees Sprout as a little brother. She spends most of her job making sure he and Cosmo doesn't burn the building down. But other times, she is a shoulder to cry on should Sprout get those nasty thoughts of "Am I good enough?" "I'm terrible" and all that. She also is the handler with the most difficulty with customers and guests. Mainly because she is the first to jump to the toons defense. No anxiety holding her back nor professionalism making her bite her tongue. Even Shrimpo... much to her dismay when the Shirmp makes her question why she hopped to his defense. She at first glance is the lazy teenager worker who does nothing but be on her phone. Early on, and in special occasions. She joins Sprout and Cosmo in baking (instead of watching for a fire.) She can't help but smile when she joins in... She likes making chocolate cookies.

Dyle is the only toon to have seen the outside world. Since he's in charge of getting new supplies into GardenView, he used to be outside with a Toon Handler present to check the trains carrying supplies before they went inside. It was to make sure nothing was being snuck into or out of GardenView.

Since GardenView's shutdown, however, he hasn't left the place. He has no idea if he's getting what the place needs or something extra until the trains are inside.

One of those days, a snake was on one the trains. It terrified him. No one ever caught the snake so he's paranoid about it showing up again.

The snake is somewhere in Gardenview now. No one knows where it is. Dyle sleeps with one eye open.

if theres ever Twisted Cosmo/Sprout on a floor the other has to be literally physically dragged away when the elevator opens again

Anyways; my hc is that a toon’s rarity is often correlated to how much screen time they get in the show.

To elaborate on this,

Main characters + Dandy would have the most screen time (obviously-)

Commons would be seen in episodes quite frequently both as background characters and as side characters (This is due to Cosmo, Tisha and Shrimpo being commons, since Cosmo and Tisha are really close to mains and Shrimpo is like the only antagonist in the show)

Uncommons would be a little more less frequent than the previous ones, often appearing when there is a need for them or when the characters visit them.

Rares would only be featured when there is a need for them, there to teach a lesson (Goob and Scarps about family, Gigi bout how stealing is bad etc.)

Lethals… well one is the star of the show and the other one is not even in the show so-

There is ofc, exceptions to this rule: Coal appearing in most of the Christmas episodes because she is Bobette’s pet, The circus trope usually seen with each other, Cocoa maybe being used a lot more than Bassie, and maybe Glisten being used more often for conflict with Vee.

used to have really bad anger issues, i've seen a few violent scraps hcs on here and i agree wholesale that she's nearly killed shrimpo before.

whenever she really wants something from someone, she nuzzles up against them and starts purring for the cute factor

she made the cardboard armor trinket! it's something she's really proud of, even if it is fragile

scraps is so tuff but nobody knows it
