Fucking hell Nightbringer really gave me everything huh god
Henry 1.0 origin story
Cerberus origin story
Satan's cat thing origin story
"Goldie in Freezer" origin story
Levi's Ruri-chan obsession origin story
Mammon being scared of ghosts/horror origin story
More in depth version of Solomon & Asmo's first meeting/pact origin story
A painful reason for why Asmo's room looks like that
What the tsl characters would have been like irl (the absolute worst wtf simeon)
Mammon's issues finally discussed in depth
Mammon being extremely ride or die for Lucifer
Almost instant Mammon & MC friendship
Mammon being just so amazed by MC and also insanely supportive of them
Mammon being willing to do anything for his brothers, being more sure of himself, almost instantly following Lucifer's orders and making the others do so as well
Levi's issues discussed in depth.
Levi straight up saying he was depressed and still is
Levi's friendship with MC!
Levi & Lucifer's relationship!!!!!
Levi being shy and scared and just so 😖
Things being bad in the Celestial Realm even before they left
Asmo's issues being discussed in depth
Asmo very explicitly having body dysmorphia
The brothers being much more supportive and loving of each other
Lucifer being visibly scared of losing another family member and being insanely overprotective because of it
The brothers being slowly overtaken by their sins (something that was always a part of them but also something they could control as angels) and losing control of themselves
The brothers gaining new magic
Satan being a fucking mess
Satan not really fitting in and all of them being really awkward around him
Satan's issues being discussed in depth
Belphie's issues being discussed in depth
Belphie expressing passive suicidal ideation
Belphie talking about how he needs someone to blame for what happened to Lilith so he can process it/make sense of it even if that someone is himself
Lucifer's issues being touched on from from different perspectives/angles
Diavolo's issues being hinted at
Simeon's issues being vaguely discussed
More about Lilith! (remember my post about how lilith definitely wasn't a sweet little angel because there's no way the universe would let lucifer catch a break? I was right!!! She was as much a little shit as the rest of her family!)
More about the demon king! (He wanted to stop the war too🥺 also a whole line of previous demon kings!)
More about god/how angels work (all angels are brothers & sisters but not technically family the way lucifer & his siblings are!)
ADAM!?!?!?!?!?
Solomon & MC's Sorcerer & Apprentice relationship seen in full detail!
MC being absolutely amazing
MC being competent and powerful and dangerous and resourceful and confident and the brothers realising all that but them also being funny and snarky and chaotic and outgoing and homesick and caring
References to present (s1-s4) brothers (& how they'll tear solomon apart if he doesn't bring MC back)
NIGHTBRINGER!? BARBATOS!!!??? but past barbatos doesn't seem to know anything about MC and present barbatos is helping solomon bring MC back....so who...?
References to Noble demons and conservative demons and devildom politics
Angel - Demon prejudice /racism from both sides explicitly shown
The brothers being war criminals and how the devildom sheltering them nearly re-started the war between the two realms
None of them being able to identify MC as a human (it takes Diavolo a long time + Lucifer straight up denies it when MC tells him), Adam & Nightbringer saying MC has the "power of angels", MC's favourite manga being one where the youngest child out of 7 is described as being angelic (*cough*lilith*cough*), Diavolo, even after knowing MC is a human, going "what are you"..... me softly chanting: nephilim!mc nephilim!mc nephilim!mc
The lessons flow better? It doesn't feel like one arc is squished into two lessons and then you must immediately jump into another different arc. It feels like it's all just happening in a connected sequence?
Better pacing in my opinion. It doesn't feel rushed.... like the part where satan discovers cats and then later is seen still sitting next to the cat and watching it? It feels appropriately spaced out
MC's relationships with everyone doesn't feel isolated. Like earlier there'd be a lesson or two dedicated to one character and we won't see much of the other characters during it. Now it feels like everyone is there interacting with everything in a normal, natural way. Yes there are lessons dedicated to getting to know one brother but the others are there, interacting with each other and MC during that time as well
The emotions & relationships are discussed/written in a way that feels very real and believable that it becomes actually really moving (s1-s4 also did this well but in nightbringer because of arcs/scenes/relationships not being isolated, of things flowing better and having a better pacing, of them outright discussing their issues it has a greater impact - yes I cried more than once shut up)
In the end, Nighbringer is darker than og OM! but not in the "grrr gonna kill you" way. It's "darker" because they address more serious topics in depth

Barbatos and Solomon's first meeting and a theory of mine, aka: what if Solomon summoned Barbatos to save his friend?
WARNING: SPOILERS FOR SWD S3 AND NB S1 AHEAD
Okay, so we've had pieces of info about their first meeting for a while now, but after collecting everything I could on these two to make my recent posts I was able to put them together and here it is.
First, there are the two times the story was briefly told in Obey Me! SWD, this one being from lesson 53-16 when Asmo discusses his first meeting with Solomon and then asks Barbatos about his:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this next one being from lesson 49-A when Asmo asks about it for the first time and Solomon doesn't want to tell him:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we learn what happened in the aftermath from Thirteen when she tells us about it in Obey Me! NB lesson 11-10:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So Solomon risked his life to summon Barbatos using an incantation and was left on the brink of death because of it, all because he "desperately needed his powers to control time", and after their interaction and whatever happened there, Barbatos took him to the Fountain of Knowledge and declared him the new protector of it.
By the way, they didn't make a pact during their first meeting but later on instead, or at least that's what I got from Barbatos saying:
Tumblr media
I'm saying this because "eventually" is vague enough to be open to interpretation and could mean that they did make a pact during their first meeting and that it only took some bargaining for Barbatos to agree. But the way I saw it was that the pact was made later on.
So, the questions left unanswered from this are:
1 ) What made Solomon want to control time badly enough for him to seriously risk his life for it?
2 ) Did Barbatos help Solomon by using his powers to control time like he wanted him to?
Because it never says that Barbatos agreed to Solomon's "desperate need", and it doesn't say why Solomon was so desperate for it in the first place, only telling us that there was something he wanted enough to risk death for it.
But it does answer WHY later.
At first I thought we didn't have more info on their first meeting, but then I remembered this little moment from Obey Me! NB ( that I added to my post afterward and here's the screenshot from the post because I was too lazy to open the game and go to the lesson again ):
Tumblr media
So Solomon almost died summoning Barbatos because he desperately needed his powers to control time after causing serious destruction to the Human World with his...?
Well, maybe, the passage does say that Barbatos appeared before him and not that he was purposely summoned by him, but it could be that the book is just depicting what people at the time thought happened, since it makes it sound like that was their first meeting when Barbatos himself said that Solomon summoning him was how they first met.
Anyway, let's assume I'm right and that's what happened and the reason why Solomon needed Barbatos was to fix the damage he did to the Human World unintentionally.
THE MAIN THEORY: Solomon summoned Barbatos to save his childhood friend's life, who was affected by Solomon's powers going out of control.
This is something that Solomon tells us in Obey Me! NB lesson 14-16, that he had a friend while he was locked up in the basement as a kid. He tells us the story of how they met and says that from then on the friend started visiting him regularly and that they would chat through the bars of the window basement and that's how their interactions went for however long. But then while telling us about them he suddenly stops:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And thus this became my current theory.
Solomon's powers, which have always vastly surpassed your usual human's, start getting out of control and becomes a threat to the world, endangering one of his loved ones ( much like MC's in S2 with Lucifer ). And desperate to save their life and out of what to do, he summons a demon he knows can control time to help him.
Judging by how Solomon struggles to tell the story to MC though, we can assume that it didn't end well.
Maybe Barbatos refused to save his friend/had no way to do it ( he can only travel through timelines and not actually go back and change the one where he is ) and Solomon had to accept the fact that they were dying and say goodbye and this was the moment when he made this promise to them to become a good sorcerer, learn how to control his powers and protect humanity.
Or maybe Barbatos did try to save them/told Solomon how to do it but it ended badly somehow and that's what brings Solomon pain when he tries to talk about it.

Even More Headcanons About Living In The HoL
First post here: [x]
Second post here: [x]
- You have purchased a fridge for your room for personal snacks and drinks that you don’t want to share. You... still end up sharing. Beel’s pouty face is hard to say no to.
- You also have a microwave. You tend to keep a few boxes of popcorn for Beel in your room. It’s cheap and easy so he can normally snack on that for quite a bit before he needs something more substantial.
- Because you have a fridge, Asmo got a mini one for his room to store his products in so that Beel would stop eating them and thinking they were snacks.
- You cannot and do not watch Food Network or shows about food. The shows tend to make you hungry. They make Beelzebub absolutely feral and after trying to watch a cooking competition show he ate the entire refrigerator. Not just the food. The ACTUAL fridge. Lucifer was glad that you said ‘never again’ and never had to make it an official rule.
- Satan’s room occasionally gets so disastrous he sleeps in your room. Until Lucifer figures out the reason why and forces him to spend time cleaning his room.
- For the Wheelchair races (the electric one Dia bought you and Luce bought for household shenanigans), the overall winner is Luke. He’s so light the chair zips around pretty quickly. Belphie is second. Last place is Beel. He’s so much muscle, the wheelchair can barely move when he gets on it.
- You were fortunate enough to witness one of the very rare times Lucifer and Satan got physical in their fights. This would normally be horrific. However the two LITERALLY butted heads with their horns out and the two got tangled up and you recorded the two of them trying to untangle themselves before finally telling them they can just go back to human form. They had been too upset to think of that solution.
- Levi figured out you have a tail kink and now whenever he’s in the mood, he’s started to poke at you with his tail. Wrapping it around your leg, poking your side... He’s slowly getting more assertive with it. It stopped for awhile when Mammon realized what Levi was doing and teased him, but a proper shaming of Mammon and reassurance to Levi fixed that.
- Mammon has discovered Disney and he loves every single Disney Princess movie. He ugly cries during a lot of them (Mulan was the roughest cry). His favorite is Mulan because her love for her family led her to great dangers. So he relates to her the most.
- Belphie has told you exactly how entwined he and Beel’s twin link is. He’s described exact food he’s eating. And even can describe what sexual acts you and Beel are doing and that it makes him jealous when he can feel it. He was surprised you found it strange, but you did tell him that human twins don’t have links that strong.
- You HAVE had serious discussions with ALL of your loved ones about the day where circumstances and life or position (for Diavolo) where you might have to choose one of them to marry. Truthfully, none of the conversations have ended on particularly happy notes. They have been understanding; just sad. The overall consensus is that it’d be down to Solomon, Lucifer, or Diavolo. Solomon because the two of you ARE human. And you two would be a power couple of Human Realm ambassadors. Lucifer because the way your pact with him works is you belong to him (something that actually really upset everyone when they found out). And Diavolo because he is the Prince of the Devildom and if the two of you wed it would solidify the relationship of the three realms being in good enough a situation where an inter-species marriage to royalty is not just possible, but accepted. Right now, there is no pressure to choose. No one wants you to (accept maybe Solomon) because it means they lose an aspect of you that they’re not willing to. Simeon was extremely upset he was not one of the top contenders, but he couldn’t even advocate for him to be since he knew their marriage wouldn’t be allowed in the Celestial Realm.
- You and Solomon discussed it and he’s made you immortal like him. No one wants to lose you. And you don’t want to lose them.
- Your family has messaged you from the human realm and asked if you can see departed loved ones. You asked Diavolo about it and It would be possible. But after talking to Lucifer and the brothers, you figured it was best you didn’t.
- You and Asmo have started to listen to reddit drama stories while pampering yourselves. Asmo’s a very gossip-y person so having real drama to listen to makes his day and he gets to talk to you about it while you get your nails done.
- You no longer buy food-like squeakies for Cerberus. Not after Beel ate the burger one and had squeaking hiccups.
- You’ve told Lucifer about Kong toys. He was overjoyed that there was super-durable dog toys he went to the Human Realm and bought a bunch for Cerberus. It was the happiest you’d seen the dog(s?) in a little while.
- Barbatos learned of your tail kink and when he’s feeling cheeky, he’ll go to demon form around you and move his tail. He gives you a knowing smirk when you blush.
- You took Beel to the Human Realm and took him to a food court at a mall and went and took him to each place at the Food court. He was so happy he teared up a little.

Ch 16 wasn’t the first time we traveled back in time
And I'm not talking about NB
Theory time! (And a little rant)
Too much text incoming
What if I tell you that the timeline that we see in cannon (specifically S1) wasn't the first time we lived that year? What if we repeated that year over and over until it came right, not for us (and definitely not for the neckless MC that died in Mammon's arms) but for Diavolo?
You don't believe me? Well, I have a theory...
Tumblr media
In multiple times, the brothers had told us that "they wouldn't do something like that for a random human".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But they had, indeed, showed too much attention and attraction to a random human. (Yes, MC isn't completely human but if Angel!Lucifer couldn't see what they were, they just saw a random human with a nice soul). Some of them didn't do pacts at all.
Even Lucifer was flirting with MC (in the form of dead threats like a good demon 😈)
What if that was the remanant of the feelings that they built in the previous time-lines?
But Barbatos vowed to never use his powers... Wrong!
Tumblr media
Yes, he vowed to never see the future again... For himself. Diavolo can have totally control over them, over Barbatos. He's his butler and he has vowed to serve him. If assuring the succes of the exchange program (the first step to Diavolo's dream of interdimensional peace) wasn't important enough to use his power, when could they use it?
Barbatos already used his powers in front of everyone in ch16. But... Wasn't too ideal that he knew that MC only needed 5 pacts? As if... He already saw them open the attic before? How did he knew he needed to warp time? Because I'm not going to buy that he leaded MC to Mammon's room by accident. How did they knew (or even suspect) that MC were descendant of Lilith? (And that we could revive magically by her).
Barbatos, ordered by Diavolo, rewinded time and time again that year for assure that neither of the exchange students died in that year (any dead could mean war, depending of how good is the relationship with the Celestial Real. We already saw the threats that Michael send to Diavolo through Simeon in S2).
And like a cerise in a cake, end that annoying and dangerous 'hate for humans' of Belphegor. (And assure again the loyalty of all the brothers for Diavolo at letting them know the reason behind Lucifer's pact was to save their sister)
All ended too good for Diavolo. But for achive that, MC had to gain the affection of the brothers, little by little, or one by one. By the time the cannon is happening, Barbatos already knows what to do without seeing the future...
Of course I'm not saying that all the pacts were for his direct intervention. Mammon's and Satan's were for prophecies (arguably Levi's. When have you seen Barbatos left something dirty for more than 5 seconds? But he wasn't in Levi's competition, so Mammon slipped... but that could be thinking too much) but he helped planning the retire for doing Asmo's pact (remember that they are very close friends, how could he not know how to push his buttons? He could even ask Solomon to lend MC his magic if he wasn't planning it).
And of course, probably that's how they knew about the prophecies of TSL (and why Diavolo avoided the final act, and made Simeon rewrite it), seeing things that no matter what he did, there were thing that always happened. Not in the same way, but inevitable and unavoidable things.
Now! For finishing this :
We all know how OM like to insert the media (normally Levi's animes and games) with long and uncannily titles that adjust too perfectly to the situation they are living.
Poor MC with so many prophecies in their life, I don't know how they aren't paranoid in all their elections.
So... Diavolo said this in a chat.
Tumblr media
The actual theory
There were routes. Bad ending routes. We died many times, and in at least one we survived thanks to friendship Lilith's magic and freed Belphegor (in the same or separate timelines). We said what she told us, but something was incomplete, something was wrong and we died again.
Then Barbatos did the little things that could done to be sure that we made the pacts. The moment MC had the 5 pacts, an MC from another timeline came, opened the attic and returned to their timeline (because this Barbatos wasn't an asshole and made the portal door close to the attic).
Belphie, Beel and MC go to PH.
Belph is a prisoner.
MC didn't die.
Lilith doesn't tell them their message (No good Belphie here 😔 only hate).
Then, as things weren't as good as they could be, Barbatos decide to... Expand his options, bending time. How? Well... Being an asshole Making MC to change the past.
He knows MC has to die to "speak" with Lilith and a Belphie filled with blame of killing 'a part of' Lilith again is a good Belphie. A Belphie that won't start a masacre or war in the human world. So, he sends MC to Mammon's room, directly to the past brothers (why risk that MC could be sneaky enough to avoid them in the Hall? Throw them directly to them!) And the rest is history...
So... The questions that we all are thinking (or at least me)...
Will OM! Music Nightbringer give us that bad ending routes?
Will they connect that past-timeline with the present OM, doing this theory semi-accurate or completely wrong?
Will they finally explain the limits of Barbatos' powers? Or is he an ancient god without limits?
Were Mammon's instantly crush in MC product of a past timeline that neither of them remember?
Were Diavolo and Barbatos assholes? Yes
Will Simeon fall?
Will I ever overcome my ADHD and procrastination and write a fic about this theory?
Did I overthink too much an Otome game?

The Not Entirely Human-Human Exchange Student pt. 5
Summary: Cass is finally able to see what lies in hiding at the top of the stairs, but that may be the least of her troubles after Beel destroys her room. Warnings: Swearing, implied sexual content Spoilers: up to lesson six and Lilith's status Characters: Cass (OC), Lucifer, Mammon, Levi, Asmo, Beel, Lilith, Diavolo, Barbatos, Solomon, and Belphie. Notes: Belphie really thinking he was sly saying he was human as if there weren't pictures of him everywhere will never not be funny to me. Part One • Next Part
“Wait, Asmo, you have a pact with Solomon, don’t you? I actually have a question about how they function. When Solomon experiences lust, do you feel it?” Asmo’s eyes sparkled at the question, signaling Cass needed to cut off whatever train of thought he was having. “I don’t care when or why he experienced it.”
“Aww, are you saying you don’t want to know how the greatest sorcerer feels about you?” He glanced at the others’ faces before sighing. “Yes, I feel it. But not in the same way I normally feel lust. I can tell it’s coming from Solomon.”
“As in, you only have a pact with Solomon so of course it’s him or you’d know it’s Solomon regardless of how many pacts you had?”
Cass glanced at Levi who was blushing, head hanging down. “I’d know it’s Solomon regardless.”
“How?”
“It feels like him.” Asmo shrugged, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Cass knew he was intentionally being vague. Before she could press him further, he looked at Levi. “Why don’t you explain it, Levi?”
Levi buried his head in his hands, refusing to look up still. Cass could see the blush spreading down his neck. Mammon looked as confused as her, meaning she definitely hadn’t felt greedy since making her first pact.
“Again, no fun,” Asmo laughed. “You know part of the process when you recite Latin? That’s when the marks form. You have the physical reminder. For us demons, we have more of a spiritual mark. So, at least for us brothers, when you engage in our sin, we feel it through that mark.”
“I guess that makes sense,” Cass nodded. What didn’t make sense is why Levi was still refusing to look at any of them.
“The reason Levi is trying to implode right now is because it feels the same as when the mark was created.” He stopped, as if to create more tension in the hall. “It can be very erotic.”
Tumblr media
>>🥇Demon: put on some pants, we need to talk.
Cass texted Mammon before walking to his room. After that breakfast, he’d been weird around her. When they’d get back from classes, he’d immediately excuse himself to his room and wouldn’t come out for dinner if she were there. Not that she was blaming him. If someone threw hot oil on her and threatened her, she’d probably be a bit weird around them.
Plus, it had been an overreaction. Maybe she should ask Satan what he did to control his anger when he snapped, if he could. Part of her felt like it was a good thing she had those reactions, at least with random demons. Rumors had started spreading about her and they made her seem more formidable than the normal human she was.
It’d been a little over a week since the incident. She took a deep breath and then knocked on his door, opening it before he had time to answer. He was lounging on his couch in sweatpants, looking at his phone. He looked up when she entered but didn’t look directly at her.
“What do ya mean, put on some pants? Who am I? Asmo?” He asked, but his tone lacked the same passion she’d become accustomed to.
“I didn’t know if you were in bed, I know you sleep naked.” He made a noncommittal noise to her comment before looking at his phone again. “I’m sorry.”
“What?”
“About the oil. That wasn’t cool. I don’t have a lot of things here, so I panicked when I couldn’t find the necklace. Then I realized you’d taken it and was a bit blinded by anger.”
Mammon shut his phone off before tossing it on the couch next to him. He leaned forward, putting his elbows on his knees. He took a deep breath and started laughing. The laugh echoed around them, calming some of the nerves Cass had when she’d walked into the room.
“Why are you laughing, asshole? I’ve been freaking out all week thinking you were pissed at me!”
Mammon shook his head and stood. He quickly closed the distance between them, wrapping his arms around Cass. Without hesitating, Cass returned the hug. Something told her Mammon had been stressed about that day too and needed this to calm his nerves as much as she did.
“I was tryin’ to give ya space because I thought you were still mad. I thought I fucked up and you weren’t going to want to see me,” he paused, taking a deep breath. “I don’t think I can say this if I’m looking at ya, but I realized how important ya are after not talkin’ to you. It scares me how much I care about ya and how much it makes my day when yer around.”
Cass couldn’t respond if she wanted to, as a lump formed in her throat. She just tightened her arms as she focused on Mammon’s heartbeat. It’s not that she felt lonely before, but something about his words made her realize that she’d never found any stability after arriving. Mammon saying that was like seeing a lighthouse after she’d been lost at sea.
“Of course, you feel grateful that the Great Mammon cares about ya,” Mammon coughed, trying to save any face in the moment.
Cass finally let go, blinking up at him. “Promise me if you don’t know how I’m feeling you’ll ask me instead of just assuming, that way we can talk it out? Of course, I’ll do the same.”
“Yeah, fine, whatever ya want,” Mammom answered, running a hand through his hair, face still burning red. “So, what have you been doin’?”
She laughed at the horrible segue but began telling him as they sat down on the couch. They spent the next hour or so talking before Mammon grabbed two sodas and handed one to her. He proceeded to tell her about a new money-making opportunity and refused to listen to any concerns she voiced.
She took a sip of the soda, coughing as soon as she registered the taste. “Ugh, what is this?”
“Hibiscus Pomegranate. I gave you that one since it’s the most popular flavor.”
Cass glanced at the label of the soda Mammon was holding. While she’d never had blushberry before, she’d imagine blushberry mango would have been more enjoyable. Part of her wished Mammon had given her that one instead but shook the thought from her head.
“Here’s why this is a fool proof plan. If anything happens to you, it ruins this exchange program, right? So Diavolo and Lucifer will do anything to make sure –” Mammon was cut off by her phone going off. “Seriously? Who leaves their phone on full volume especially for texts?”
Cass ignored him to open the message. Her eyebrows knit together in confusion. Even after making a pact, Levi didn’t talk to her much. Mostly, he would send her recommendations about media to consume, but it was rarely more personal.
<< Levi-a-DAMN!: Is everything okay?
What the hell had prompted that? Mammon had a look of equal confusion on his face as he looked at her phone over her shoulder. She responded yes and set her phone down, deciding if it was something serious, he’d follow up.
“Since when does Levi check in with you?”
Cass paused. They hadn’t told anyone about the pact. Levi had asked if they could keep it secret for a while. It’d been easy enough to hide the pact mark. Since it was always cold in the Devildom, she normally wore long sleeves anyways. She gave a noncommittal shrug hoping he’d ignore it.
“Were you hangin’ out with him this week or something?”
“Why are you jealous?” She laughed.
“Course not. What do you think the Great Mammon couldn’t find anyone else to keep him company. I bet I could even find a new human like that.” He snapped his fingers in front of her face.
Cass knew he wasn’t serious. But she felt a twinge of jealousy and hurt at the idea. It’s not like he was entirely wrong. There wasn’t anything particularly special about her. He probably could easily find a more remarkable human that fast. The thought was followed by another text.
<< Levi-a-DAMN!: What the hell is going on?
Weird, it’s almost like Levi knew the exact moment she reacted to Mammon’s comment. As if he knew how she’d felt. She gasped, looking down at her phone and back at Mammon. Could they feel it when she experienced their sin how because of the pacts?
“Mammon, if I feel greedy, do you feel that?” Mammon stared at her, still confused by what was happening. “Through the pact, do you know when I experience greed?”
“I don’t know, have ya felt greed since you’ve been here? Wait, wait, wait. What’s that got to do with Levi’s messages?”
Neither moved for what felt like an eternity but was really only a second. Before Cass could even attempt to move, Mammon had already pinned her down on the couch. She considered fighting him but knew it was pointless.
“When the hell did ya make a pact with him?” Mammon demanded.
“Who says I did?” Cass snapped, hoping to keep the secret a little longer until Levi was ready. Mammon tugged her sleeve down to reveal Levi’s pact mark. It was opaquer than it had been before she’d arrived at Mammon’s room. It also had a luminescent quality to it. “Fine, the day of the TSL quiz. But Levi didn’t want people knowing yet.”
“OF COURSE, HE DIDN’T,” Mammon yelled, jumping off the couch. “Do you know how much shit they gave me after making a pact with you?”
Before Mammon had a chance to find Levi to confront him, Levi was already storming into Mammon’s room. Mammon shoved him back into the hallway as he started to yell at him. Even without knowing the context Levi immediately started hurling insults back at Mammon.
Cass groaned, following them into the hall. Levi never really needed to know Mammon’s reasons for fighting or have a reason himself, he always took the opportunity when it came. They were loud enough that they had caused Asmo to stick his head out of his room. Always the purveyor of drama, he watched with rapt attention.
“Are we fighting over Cass? I’d like to be considered,” he winked at her from across the hall.
“NO!” Mammon and Levi stopped arguing long enough to shout at Asmo. Cass tried not to take the reaction too personally.
“Oh boo, you two are no fun. Cass deserves better. You can always come to me if you need something, Cass.”
Cass could tell Levi was getting more upset and worried about him snapping. She hadn’t put much thought into it at the time, but after the quiz, Satan had made a passing comment that they were lucky Levi hadn’t summoned something. She can’t imagine Lucifer would be too thrilled if that happened now over something this stupid.
“Enough.” She yelled, stepping between the two.
Mammon, who had been given an order through the pact before, grumbled under his breath when his body went rigid. Levi, on the other hand, wasn’t prepared. He stumbled backwards, slouching against the doorframe.
“Oh, and here I thought you didn’t want to make any more pacts.”
Cass ignored the comment, knowing it wasn’t worth delving into further. “Wait, Asmo, you have a pact with Solomon, don’t you?” She walked over to where he stood.
“Hoping he’ll give you some tips on how to make one with me? I’m not as easy as these two.”
Mammon and Levi scoffed at the implication, slowly regaining control again. Because Mammon always had energy to spare, he crossed over to Cass and Asmo. Levi sank to the floor, exhaustion taking over from fighting the command.
“You’ve made it very clear where we stand in terms of a pact.
That did explain his reaction, though Cass couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Even after sleeping together, Levi couldn’t look at her, let alone tell her what was happening. Asmo was practically walking on air when he crossed over to Levi before trying to get him to loosen up.
“Levi, I think you should embrace it! I know how good it feels. And what’s even better, is you know Mammon hasn’t experienced it since Cass is only now asking!”
“Hey! Who’s to say I haven’t? Maybe I just didn’t say anything about it?”
Mammon joined Asmo, which only lead to more arguing. Cass rolled her eyes, deciding to just leave and let them deal with it. She still had to give Lucifer the vinyl record Levi had lent her. She grabbed it from her room before going to his office.
Cass knocked gently but didn’t hear a response. She was certain he’d said something about going to his office after dinner. Maybe he hadn’t heard the knock. She raised her hand to knock again when the door swung open.
Judging by the look Lucifer gave her, he’d either expected one of his brothers or had heard them arguing upstairs. The look softened slightly before he stepped to the side and let her enter. Lilith was perched on the back of one of the chairs in front of the fireplace, watching with a look of glee.
“What can I help you with, Cass?” Lucifer asked, sitting back down at his desk.
“Mammon mentioned that you liked listening to cursed vinyl records, so I borrowed this from Levi for you.”
Cass held the TSL soundtrack out for him to take. He took it cautiously before inspecting it. Maybe he thought she was trying to trick him. Which in a way, she was, just not that way. She saw the hint of a smile before he spoke.
“I’ve been asking Levi to lend me this record for years. Why is it he would lend it to you?”
“I think you underestimate how much people like me.”
He waited, unamused, for a real answer. She’d let Levi tell him, since he was the one who cared about keeping it quiet in the first place. She suspected he already knew though. Lucifer always seemed to know what was going on before anyone else in the house.
“I’m exhausted, so I’ll see tomorrow.”
As Cass turned to leave, Lucifer cleared his throat. “Thank you, I’ll be sure to take care of it.”
---
It felt like hours before the house quieted down and Cass could pick up the sound of music coming from Lucifer’s office. Lilith confirmed that he was engrossed in the soundtrack before Cass crossed the house to the secret staircase.
Lilith watched her carefully walk up the first few steps. It seemed too easy to simply walk up the stairs after the effort Lucifer had put into making sure she didn’t go up there. When nothing happened, she rushed the rest of the way up, not wanting to get caught now.
There was a small landing at the top of the stairs and a single room. Cass tried opening the old iron door, but found it was locked. Not surprising. There were gaps between the door’s details, but she wasn’t sure she could reach through them. The room behind the door was dark enough that she couldn’t even begin to make out details of what Lucifer was keeping hidden.
“Is someone there?” A voice called from the darkness.
Cass jolted back from the door, hand flying to her mouth to make sure she didn’t make too much noise. It sounded like someone was moving before a switch flipped. An orange glow was cast over the room and the person who had spoken.
The room itself actually looked quite comfortable. She could see a large bed with fluffy pillows. Plush rugs were placed on the wood floor and fresh plants were growing in various places. She could make out a door on the other side that she assumed was a bathroom. Books lined the shelves, and the room was decorated thoughtfully.
Whatever Lucifer’s reason was for keeping someone locked inside, Cass couldn’t help but think it was done out of concern instead of malice. Almost as if he was locking the person inside to keep them away from someone, rather than others safe. Regardless of the intent, Cass was starting to think she needed to talk to the brothers about appropriate responses and actions.
Whoever was locked in the room had sat up on the bed to turn the light on. He blinked at Cass, eyes still adjusting to the light. He still looked half-asleep as he crossed to the door. His posture was almost as bad as Levi’s. He was probably close to Satan’s height, but if he stood straight, he would probably be taller than Lucifer.
It took her a moment, but she realized she’d seen him before. It was the other person from the picture in the entry way. The one who had been slumped against Beel. The final brother, the avatar of Sloth. What was his name again? She’d seen it here and there on things like documents or social media posts.
“Are you human?” His voice was gravely from sleep.
“I am.”
“I thought I’d never see another human.”
Another? Had there been a human here before her or was he referring to Solomon? It seems unlikely Lucifer would let Solomon up here. Unlike the apathy he treated Cass with, Lucifer genuinely seemed to dislike Solomon.
“Are you a demon?” Cass asked.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” he scoffed. “I’m human, just like you. The thought of being one of them.” He didn’t finish the sentence, instead shivering.
Something was off about him. Even if she hadn’t seen pictures of him throughout the house, it was easy to tell he wasn’t human. Did he not know how rare it was for humans to be over 6’5? Luke’s words from when they first met suddenly came to mind. Never trust a demon. Time to see how much he was going to share.
“That demon Lucifer imprisoned me here. You’ve got to get me out of here, I’m begging you.”
“How do you propose I do that?”
“Neither of us can open the door, right? It’s sealed with a powerful type of magic. To break it, you need the consent of Lucifer and his brothers.”
“Oh, bummer,” Cass interrupted, “the sleepy demon is in the human world, so he can’t really help.”
The demon titled his head, confusion taking over his features. “Do you mean the avatar of sloth?” Cass nodded solemnly, hoping he continued to think she believed he was human. “That’s fine, it will still open with only the six.”
“Cool, should I just go ask?” Cass turned as if to go down the stairs.
“What? No! They won’t just agree, they’re not exactly nice. All you have to do is make pacts with them. It should be easy enough. You can start with Beelzebub. You can’t tell them you spoke with me though. Whatever you do don’t mention it.”
“Absolutely, wouldn’t think of it.”
The demon smiled. It would have been an innocent enough look if he really were a human hoping to get help. Knowing that he was lying though, it left her uneasy. He thought he’d gotten away with something. That he’d tricked a stupid human. Well, if he was going to play it that way, Cass was at least going to have some fun.
---
After returning to her room, Cass let Lilith know about the demon. After confirming Cass's suspicions that it was the final brother, Belphie, Lilith was completely on board with messing with Belphie while they figured out how to unlock the door.
Despite his suggestion, Cass wasn’t going to make pacts with the brothers with the sole intention of using them. The thought of that made her stomach turn. Especially considering she didn’t even know Belphie, and he was clearly trying to manipulate her.
On top of figuring out the new Belphie issue, she had stayed awake until the early morning talking to both Levi and Mammon about earlier. Levi, who was still thoroughly embarrassed, refused to listen to Cass’s reassurances that it wasn’t a big deal. The only thing she was really bothered by was how worried she’d gotten from his reactions when he was just horny.
Mammon was upset she’d never felt greedy. He denied that’s how he felt while also insisting it was not because he wanted to experience whatever Asmo was talking about. She, in his words, should be honored to feel greed.
The next morning, she wasn’t up for whatever ominous warning Lucifer was trying to give her when he told her curiosity killed the cat. She was so out of it, he ended up just telling her to stop snooping and be solely concerned with surviving the year so she wouldn’t die.
Not to mention, she’d gone down to get something to eat before Beel could finish everything before putting on her uniform shirt over the tank top she was wearing. Which lead to Asmo brushing crumbs off her chest. That, in turn, lead to Mammon yelling at him to keep his hands off her.
At RAD, Beel and Mammon had gotten into a fight over food. First Mammon had been annoyed Beel was trying to steal his food. Followed by him being offended because Beel didn’t want it if Mammon had made it. Ending with Beel eating the food anyways.
They only stopped arguing when Simeon invited them camping. As much as she enjoyed spending time with Simeon and Luke, the idea of going on a camping trip at that moment sounded like entering a new layer of hell. Fortunately, Simeon had more empathy than the brothers put together and could tell she wasn’t having it, so he let her know he’d text her the details later.
The day had ended with her trying to grab a book off one of the shelves in the library, only to fall because everything in the Devildom was just outside of her reach. Luckily, Beel had accompanied her to the library, so he was able to catch her before hitting the ground.
Unluckily, Beel wasn’t quite used to moderating his strength to accommodate for her being human, so dark bruises where he’d caught her were already forming. Beel’s quick reflexes coupled with her shirt becoming untucked, ended with him pushing her shirt up. Beel turned red when his hands landed just below her waistline on bare skin, as if he’d done something wrong, and wouldn’t look directly at her after.
It was past ten by the time she finally made it back to the House of Lamentation. She was close to passing out from exhaustion. It was one of the first weekends she had plans free. The idea of collapsing into her bed and sleeping for as long as possible Saturday helped her fall asleep before her head even hit the pillow.
---
“You’re certain you found her in Ancient Greece?” Solomon asked, looking at Barbatos quizzically.
“Yes, though I wasn’t able to determine much outside of that.”
“Do you think she’s involved with the Nephs?”
“We can’t ignore the possibility that she’s connected to the Fallen,” Diavolo said. “Or that she could be one of them.”
Solomon took a look at the documents Barbatos and Diavolo had gathered. If Cass truly was connected to them, they’d have known who she was. After all, Barbatos and Solomon had been some of the few that the Demon King tasked with concealing their identity.
“How would she have gone unnoticed?”
“You didn’t meet with all of them directly, correct?”
Solomon shook his head. They’d only meet with a few representatives at the time considering most of them had gone into hiding by the time the Demon King decided to intervene. They wouldn’t have kept the existence of one Neph hidden though. Would they?
“Have you asked Cate?”
“We’d like to avoid involving her as long as possible.”
Solomon looked up at Diavolo at the comment. While he understood the caution, it would be nearly impossible to find any information about Cass without involving Cate. Solomon wasn’t even sure he’d be able to contact any of them without Cate’s help.
“If she is a Neph, or just even connected to them, the chances of them disclosing any helpful information are,” Solomon trailed off.
“To us, maybe. But you.”
“I can’t say I’m on much better terms as of late,” Solomon muttered under his breath.
Solomon quickly departed after agreeing to try connecting with the Nephs without involving Cate. It wasn’t until he was at Purgatory Hall that he let out a sigh. If their suspicions were correct, he would need to tread carefully.
There had to be a reason Cass’s identity had been kept hidden if she was involved with the Nephs. Solomon had no intention of aiding Diavolo in discovering that reason. He also had no intention of telling Diavolo if he contacted the Nephs. At least not until he knew how to use that information.
---
It was dark when Cass woke up. The kind of darkness she’d learned was common around midnight. She fumbled for her phone or the lights. Her eyes never adjusted to this darkness. Before she could find her phone, however, the room started to fill with light.
Cass stood, crossing to the stairs, panic motivating her to move despite the exhaustion. Mammon practically flew into her room at the speed he was moving. He was yelling at her to run or hide or something. She couldn’t make out exactly what as Beel was on a rampage, destroying everything in his path.
The next thing she knew, the three of them were standing in Lucifer’s room being yelled at. She didn’t even have the energy to figure out what had happened. All she knew was Mammon did something to set Beel off and now she didn’t have a room. Bits of debris were still on her clothes.
“I’m so tired,” Cass said, cutting off Lucifer midsentence. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d felt this exhausted. Even her bones seemed to be tired. “I just wanted to sleep.”
Before any of the demons realized what was happening, she fell to the ground. Mammon could’ve stolen her wallet, Lucifer could’ve killed her right there, hell Beel could’ve eaten her at right then and she probably just would have let it happen.
“Cass, what are you doing?” Mammon whispered, as if trying to get her to stand up before someone noticed, even though they were all staring at her.
“I don’t care anymore. My bed’s ruined and I just want to sleep. Please, God, just let me sleep.”
Cass didn’t notice the grimace the brothers exchanged or the silent conversation that followed about what to do next. The dim light and heat caused by the fire felt like a warm embrace, pulling her further into sleep. Let them figure their own shit out for a while.
She woke up to the sound of Lucifer sighing. Judging by the fire, she’d been sleeping for at least a few hours that way. Had they really just let her sleep on the floor? “Beel, can you take Cass to your room? She can stay with you while we get the house fixed.”
“WHAT, NO!” Mammon shouted.
“This isn’t up for debate.”
Beel picked Cass up easily, leaving a disgruntled Mammon complaining in Lucifer’s room. Cass peaked at him before closing her eyes again. He didn’t look to upset about having to share his room, but there were definitely some conflicted feelings about the situation. Assuming she was already asleep, he set her down on one of the beds, moving towards the couch.
“Where are you going?” She asked, the words slurring together, still not fully awake.
“To sleep on the couch.” She glanced at the bed across from her and back to Beel. “That’s my twin’s, Belphegor.”
“I can sleep in that bed if you don’t feel comfortable.”
“No,” Beel said with a tone that left no room for discussion.
“Well, I’m not letting you sleep on the couch.” She pushed the covers off and sat up.
“I don’t mind. Plus, I don’t think Lucifer would like it if I made you sleep on the couch.”
“Either you sleep in your bed, and I sleep on the couch, or you sleep on the couch, and I sleep on the floor, the choice is yours.” Cass stood up, crossing her arms.
Beel’s eyes flicked between her and the couch, trying to figure out how serious she was being. Considering she had already spent part of the night on the floor, it really shouldn’t be that difficult to discern the truth in her statement.
“If you don’t want me to sleep on Belphegor’s bed, I can respect that. Why don’t we just share yours. It’s big enough for two people.” Before he could protest, she continued. “It’s either that or we spend the rest of the evening going back and forth about where to sleep.”
Eventually, Beel resigned. He laid stiff as a board on his back, as close to the edge as possible. Cass looked at the ceiling, thinking about how he’d acted when talking about Belphie’s bed. It’d been a similar reaction to when she first asked about the seventh brother on her second day here.
“You miss him a lot, don’t you?” Cass finally said. Her voice barely above a whisper.
Beel took so long to answer, Cass thought he had fallen asleep. “We’ve never been apart this long. Lucifer sent him to the human world with Diaval, another demon, as an exchange student.”
“You didn’t want him to go?”
“He didn’t want to go. Lucifer made him go.”
Cass rolled onto her side so she could look at Beel. “What’s he like?”
Beel smiled gently. “It’s funny, he’s kind of like the opposite of me. I mean, we were created the same day, which is why we’re twins, but we don’t act or look very similar. Our little sister Lilith used to think it was hilarious.”
“Lilith?”
Beel fell silent once more, lost in thought. “I don’t really want to talk about her.”
“I understand,” Cass whispered.
She may not know what exactly happened to Lilith or the brothers that led them here, but she knew it was painful. From what she could tell, it was a wound that never healed. Beel didn’t say anything else. She couldn’t even tell if he was awake still in the dark room.
“If you ever do, I’m always here to listen.” Cass isn’t sure what prompted her to say that, especially when there’s a chance, he didn’t even hear it. But she meant it.
Beel’s voice was so quiet, Cass almost missed it. The strain she heard on his voice, the weight of whatever he was feeling broke her heart. “I - thank you.”

Even after everyone’s reasonings for disliking Solomon , I can’t bring myself to dislike him. Honestly I think some of the complaints aren’t even that valid. Sure he’s mean to Demons sometimes….but they’re still demons. A human has a right to dislike demons imo, demons and angels (but especially demons) are always using humans anyhow. Furthermore there’s so much defense for the demons as if they haven’t tried to kill mc on numerous occasions. In NB it could be argued Solomon is the reason why MC is even alive. Just my thoughts! I think people should just be more honest with themselves, it’s okay to just dislike a character but they’re making some things out to be more than what it really is if that makes sense.
Tldr; Solomon isn’t that bad!
Look, I made that post I didn't tagged it with Obey me and just my rambling on my blog, hell I made it because someone on twitter mention the hate that Solomon is getting and I wanted to write out my thoughts.
But after seeing some of the replies and reblogs of that post.
I came to realize that Solomon to me is a Interesting character, where he is not a good person, he might have good intention but he is doing them amorally.
Now... I can put how I see his action, first the whole reasoning he needs the pacts. I completely understand what he started collecting demon pact. If you were in Solomon's shoe and knowing what the demons and angels think of humans, you would want to get somewhat in evening the playing ground. Thus the only option is to uses one of the side's weak point... The pact.
Sadly that means what he did to Asmo, taking advantage of his weaken/drunken state to secure a pact with one of the seven avatar of Devildom.
Solomon in a way reminds me of leaders in war in way. They'll do what it takes to have an advantage in battle/war. Or in a way, Solomon is preparing for a battle, when it comes.
However, if we see this in the perspective of MC, yeah I don't fully trust Solomon. Time and time again he manage to make decisions that makes it hard for MC to trust him.
And yeah, people mention how he is openly uses his pact with his demons Barbatos and Asmo with no hesitation.
I'll say that to me I understand why people in a way dislike Solomon, but at the same time I understand, I don't agree with his method, but I understand.
And I don't want to relay on the excuse of "Demons are demons" in media, when it comes to excusing Solomon's action towards Asmo with the pact.
There's two ways I see Demon in stories, if they are the textbook defintion then Solomon's action is fine.
But with the Obey me world, Demons aren't the textbook definition, textbook demons are more malicious and horrible and yet, OM demons aren't does things to an extent, yes their mean in way, but I see it more as cultural difference in a way.

Gonna share my thoughts about NB lesson 24 now. Expect spoilers under the cut. (I haven't read the extra story since can't get access to it. so am keeping that out for obvious reasons.)
Tumblr media
So we start off with Asmo first charming Lucifer of all demons and I was very surprised to see it even work. Like holy shit, Asmo charmed LUCIFER. Felt both impressed and concerned pff
Then we slowly start to see things take a turn from interesting to very concerning...Tbh. This way they went about on showing Asmo's charm at a stronger rate, is actually okay with me. Like its bad yeah, because Asmo is taking advantage of everyone around him. Which just happens to be his brothers. But this could of been played out way worse by the writers, since this is Asmodeus after all. The Avatar of Lust.
Some will think he'll just use his charm to do some fucked up shit with his brothers...But thankfully, they(the writers) proved here Asmo doesn't have any true desires for that. So those anti Asmo fans can quit it with constantly saying Asmo just wants to fuck his brothers. Seriously, fucking stop it. It's tiring and annoying now.
Anyway, back to the lesson...So Asmo just uses his charm to just make everyone spoil and pamper him like a literal "Queen". Or as quoted by Solomon later on, making his brothers act like royal servants, which "Queen Asmodeus" had. (I'm so interested to hear more of Queen Asmodeus. Solomon, fucking spill the lore. I NEED it. lol)
Most of the brothers are easily charmed by Asmo's stronger charm now at first. Then there's Lucifer, first charmed of course, then worked on resisting his charm in time. Which apparently the other brothers can do too or try, as implied by Lucifer.
Then we finally get Asmo snapping and his sin consuming him truly now after Mammon upset him a lot with the stuff he told him. At this moment, all the brothers, including Lucifer too, are now victim or fallen victim to Asmo's powerful charm.
Then here's us...Honestly, I wish they let Asmo try to charm MC so we can know if they truly retcon the fact MC can't be charmed or not. Though maybe we'll find out in next lesson...
(Though that whole scene of MC running away from Asmo trying to hunt them down to charm them. Just was some yandere-ish vibes to me. lol Fueling the fics ideas for me now.)
Anyway, we escaped unhinged Queen Asmo's charming wrath pfff, and we were sent to Solomon for help. (ugh...but it is what it is.)
I chose to land on his head btw. Heheh. REVENGE~.
Anywaaaays. We tell Solomon what's going on, and of course he finds this all interesting...but quick to accept this is a problem...Then goes with us to help save the brothers and stop/save Asmo too.
That where we see Asmo just living a spoiled life of being pampered and attended to endlessly by his brothers, and this is where Solomon brings up this is like with Queen Asmodeus and his royal servants. (AGAIN. SPILL THE DETAILS WIZARD MAN. LOL)
I was honestly very concerned over how this will play out with Solomon. I knew he'll get involved since he has a pact with Asmo...But in the end he just kept resisting or reflecting Asmo's charm, even with his weakened power(still having doubts if that's true or what from him lol). Then in the end resorted to using Barbatos to help stop Asmo like nothing. Which honestly...I'm happier with Barb stopping Asmo truly than Solomon himself directly. (Even if Barb showed no mercy it seems...haha)
Then we get left with some cliffhangers and yeah...Can't wait for the next lesson.
But now I got some stuff to say, about Asmo, and Solomon here.
Now you know I love Asmo with all my heart...But won't lie. Hearing him call Jayce/Me a nuisance...Was a huge stab to my heart lol. Like personally, I feel like one as is in life to everyone around. Which is why I'm so distant and all. So yeah...It just sucks. lol But I know this isn't truly Asmo talking truly from his heart, just his sin consuming him making him act and talk this way. But for my MC Jayce, this will certain leave a scar and now moments of doubt when with Asmo...lol the angst is gonna be real from this now.
Now for Solomon...Honestly I still don't like him because of the stuff he's said or done (but won't deny he's kinda hot. so there. happy? lol), but appreciate him protecting us and defending us. Though I just hated how he said this to Asmo...
Tumblr media
Like it just proves to me again, he just sees Asmo as nothing more but a tool than someone special and important to him. No love is felt from him or through his words over Asmo. (Like some like to believe they apparently are madly in love with each other...Uh huh...) Just this need to prove he's in control and powerful over another, which is Asmo in this case...Ugh...I hate it so much. Reminds me of those toxic partners in relationships who need to always be in control and more power than other...or some people I know irl who really are like this...
Anyway...That's all to say for now. I think. Might of missed stuff but mind is everywhere rn so yeah lol. I'll say/add more later if anything comes up.
All I know, once this is all over. I expect many hugs and kisses from Asmo. (As well will maybe be writing some angsty stuff over Jayce and Asmo thanks to this all. lol)

Returning Lovesickness Chapter 1
AO3
Ship: Solomon/Asmo
Word Count: 2299
Warnings: mild depictions of gore
Summary: Is it really fair to tell Solomon of his suspicions when they both just accepted what they both want probably won't happen? Even more, Asmo is struggling to the possibility himself.
A/N: This will be a two parter. This next gen piece is a p big time skip in the pieces I've posted so far. But none the less, I hope you all enjoy it all the same! I will try to make a little post about how we've pictured magic babies working so stay tuned! This is another story that takes place within the next gen! au that @leviathanswingman and I put together
Next
Asmo could still feel his stomach churning. He just needed to be away for a bit, the magic was making him sick. He was too scared to say anything yet, even though there was little in the way for doubt anymore.  He held down one more wretch before tilting his head back and closing his eyes.
He'd tell Solomon eventually, all he needed was time, and a little more certainty. How could he even risk breaking Solomon's heart even more than he already had?
It wouldn't be kind.
It wouldn't be fair.
They were finally getting over the idea that it may never happen, that Lilith would forever be their only one. Could he really risk giving Solomon news that would turn out to be wrong? But on the other hand-
"There you are," the rustling of a bush drew Asmo's attention. Barbatos stepped out of the foliage, composed and as calm as ever. Sometimes the other demon reminded him of his husband in certain aspects of their composure: The way in which they both held themselves, the calming tones in which they spoke, how they could both stay so composed under pressure.
It made sense to him why Solomon held a pact with Barbatos.
Solomon and her perfect mind, and his perfect hair, and his perfectly handsome face, that connected to his chest and all those markings-
And of course his marking-
And then straight down his abs to that perfect big-
“It’s not like you to want time to yourself in the middle of the woods.”
The underlying “Are you alright?” was palpable despite the silence and Asmo wasn’t really sure how to go about answering it. The obvious answer was no, but could he really unload all of his thoughts onto Barbatos?
"I just wanted a bit of change in scenery. I haven't had a lot of time to look at the stars."
Barbatos stepped closer to him and Asmo bristled, "Have you really been that distracted? I only had to ask you both to reorient your focus twice now."
It wasn't like it was abnormal for him and Solomon to be a bit distracted on their missions. There wasn't a single reason Barbatos should be bringing it up. So what if Asmo got lost in those gorgeous stormy eyes, or those nice plump lips, or the way Solomon kissed, or-
"You've been awfully  blissful since you came back from your trip the young master and Lucifer helped organize for you."
Asmodeus froze. Full stop.
It was one thing for the thoughts to plague his own mind, but for Barbatos to bring it up in such a way? It was a completely different ball game.
There was no need for Barbatos to elaborate on what he was referring to, Asmo knew.
For as much as Asmo loved to gush over Solomon and talk over almost every single detail of their lives, there were some things he had tried to keep under wraps. Like how he and Solomon had wanted another baby, despite having been used to Lilith spending most of her time at RAD. Of course they still saw her, she came home often. But the desire had seemed to creep up out of nowhere.
They had tried almost everything they could think of, and everytime their efforts had been fruitless. They had been stressed, tired, and frustrated. And maybe… just maybe Asmo had let it slip to Mammon when he had gone to visit his brother and the triplets. And perhaps Solomon had admitted to saying something to Simeon.
In any case word had gotten back to Lucifer and the next thing he knew he and his husband had been sent off to a nice quiet cabin in the woods, one that Diavolo and Lucifer frequented themselves, with Snow Demonus and small gifts packed away. Asmo had to admit, whatever their plan was, it worked.
The baby blues had melted away and it had been a wonderful opportunity for him and Solomon to reconnect and just talk. And maybe do a little more than talk-
It had been a while since Asmo had felt so relaxed and playful, longer than he'd like to admit.
But by the time he returned home, he was feeling better than he had in ages. Perhaps it was just the proximity, perhaps it had nothing to do at all with what Barbatos was maybe suggesting, but he and Solomon had been spending more and more time together.
If Asmo didn't know better, he would say his husband was spellbound.
But he knew better than that, and he knew better than to get his hopes up.
“Can you blame me?” Asmo retorted, “It was sooo romantic, and Lord Diavolo and Lucifer personally let us rent out a cute little cabin they adore! I think it was one of the first lovely little romantic getaways we’ve had in the woods since Lilith left for RAD. At least one in the woods that wasn’t for one of my Darling’s missions.”
Asmo felt himself forcing his normal cutesy mannerisms. His aggression had been up, and his patience was running thin. Which was odd, especially considering that this was Barbatos. Asmo had no good reason to be upset with him, he knew this. In fact, Barbatos was one of the only demons that Asmo would even consider going on missions with after the incident. He trusted Barbatos, Barbatos was his friend. He hadn’t done anything. He was only trying to help, he was only-
When had he gotten so close.
Asmo’s horns itched on his head and his wings ached to curl forward. He had no idea why he felt like he was fighting to maintain control, as if every inch of his body were on fire. He hadn’t felt like this in a long, long time.
The last time he felt like this was when-
“Lord Diavolo mentioned something about your perfume, yes?”
What?
“At one of his parties, it was the last family get together he hosted at the castle. He said your perfume smelled nice.”
Had he actually put perfume on that night? Honestly, he couldn’t remember, he’d been on his second glass of demonus and trilling at the compliment regardless. But the implication made his throat tighten.
Too close. Barbatos was too close.
Another demon was too close to him.
Someone that wasn’t his Solomon was too close to him.
“It smells like you’re wearing it again.”
Where was his Solomon?
“But that’s just the thing that confuses me-”
Too close. Too close too close tooclosetooclosetooclose-
“You don’t wear perfume in situations like this because it attracts bugs.”
Barbatos placed his hand on his shoulder.
“So there can only be one other explanation.”
Asmo had lost control of himself. He couldn’t tell what was happening around him anymore. He couldn’t register the shock on Barbatos’ face, or that his own demon form had pushed its way forward. The only thoughts he could remember were the ones that appeared as he watched the red trickle down Barbatos’ face.
How he wanted to bring more of it out, tear him to shreds, rip out his beating heart and hold it in his hands until it slowly came to a stop. He wanted to be covered in gore, bathe in his blood, take what he could as a trophy.
As he came out of the miasma, he realized what he’d been thinking. Asmo realized that it was his hand print embedded on his cheek and his claw marks from where his nails had caught along the way. As his senses returned to him, there was only one thing that Asmo wanted to do.
He cried.
And cried.
And cried.
His body heaved with each sob.
Despite what he had just done, Barbatos still approached him, led him to a fallen log and let him sit down.
“Barbatos, I didn’t- I didn’t mean to-”
“Shhh,” Barbatos hushed him, pulling a handkerchief from his pocket and carefully tilting Asmodeus’ face towards him, dabbing under his eyes to dry his tears and clean his now smeared makeup. “I should be the one to apologize. Solomon had informed me of what happened on your last mission with another demon, why you both had only been asking me to accompany. I should have been more considerate.”
Asmodeus remembered it well, being accused by another demon of using his charming abilities. Said demon being upset and accusing Asmo of being a tease, and all in front of Solomon too. The absolute audacity. That would have been bad enough, but they were on a mission, the sorcerer the other demon had been connected to was also there, and they almost failed their mission. Asmo was furious, and he genuinely didn’t know what he would have done if he hadn’t had a monster to tear apart.
Luckily Solomon had been just as furious as he was, and, after discussion agreed, to closing their circle for the time being.
Asmo had believed it to be a one time freak event, but with all the evidence lining up in front of him, he had no choice but to believe.
“I do not wish to upset you, especially considering you’re-” Barbatos looked him up and down and nodded his head  once, “Again.”
Asmo couldn’t help but laugh, “Well, I’m not so sure about that-”
“I think it’s quite obvious.”
Asmodeus felt his heart stop once more, and something started to stir in the pit of his stomach. A something that felt like a swarm of butterflies batting their tiny wings.
Obvious.
“Does Solomon know?”
“I couldn’t bear to break his heart if I were to be wrong-”
“You’re not wrong.”
More silence.
Asmo took the handkerchief from Barbatos and pressed it against the gash on the butler’s face.
“Look what I did to your poor handsome face,” Asmo sighed, tears threatening to sting at his eyes once more, “It’s already bad enough, and the idea of how upset Diavolo and Lucifer will be with me. Oh Ollie probably won’t talk to me for at least a day, or be very uncomfortable around me- I can’t bear it.”
“They don’t have to know,” Barbatos said, lifting his hand to help with the compression, “I won’t tell them, but I do think you should tell Solomon.”
“He’ll give me an earful for sure-”
“I’m not talking about my face Asmodeus.”
Suddenly making eye contact with Barbatos was more than Asmo could bear.
“He should know, it doesn’t have to be tonight, but you should tell him.”
Finally Asmo’s shoulders slumped. Barbatos was right.
“But in my own time?”
“Just don’t wait til the day your little one is here.”
Barbatos was joking with him, and Asmo couldn’t help but crack a smile.
The butler stood and helped him to his feet. He stayed close behind Asmodeus as they walked back to their campsite. The fire was still burning just as it was when he left it, his plate still untouched. Barbatos would be making him eat as soon as he touched base with Solomon. They entered the tent, which, thanks to magic, was much cozier on the inside than the outside. It was rare that he would conjure something like this. It was really only when he needed to bring a quarter of his study with him.
Solomon's posture straightened as the duo entered and he turned to greet them with a smile on his face. But that smile quickly dropped when he took in their appearances. Before he could say a word, Barbatos lifted a hand.
"Everything's fine, I had just startled Asmodeus, I should have been more mindful."
Asmo squeezed his arm.
"Even so we wouldn't want that to bruise now would we?" Solomon stood and placed a hand on Barbatos' cheek. Asmo could feel it in his bones, the specific feeling that always radiated from Solomon's magic. But under his current set of circumstances, it made his stomach churn.
"Good as new."
Solomon's face fell again and he felt Asmo's forehead with the back of his hand. His touch sent a mini shock wave through him, one that made his heart flutter and that almost sent him back into  a haze. He leaned into the touch, a soft trill leaving his lips as he did.
"Are you alright Asmo? You look off."
Not yet.
He would tell him.
Just not now.
"I believe I could be of assistance," Barbatos stepped in, "If I am correct, Asmodeus hasn't eaten dinner yet. I can fix his plate again and bring it in."
"That would be wonderful, thank you Barbatos."
Asmodeus could already feel himself slipping further into Solomon's touch. He was so enraptured with the very idea of his husband, that he didn't notice when they had moved to sit on the bed nor when Barbatos returned with his plate with significantly more food than what had been on it before.
"Keep your strength up friend."
Asmo could hear the smile in his voice.
Solomon hummed and picked up the fork, "I think, I'd like to feed you, if that is okay my Darling."
And of course, it was more than okay. Barbatos’ food was wonderful on its own, and having Solomon feed him only heightened the experience.
Despite what had happened mere hours ago, Asmo couldn't help but feel content, comfortably snuggled up between his husband and a close friend. His legs entangled with Solomon's as he held Barbatos close. He wouldn't have had it any other way. In fact, the tiniest contest from Barbatos had Asmo almost enter a fit.
He would tell Solomon about his suspicions at a later time. But for now, he would enjoy the company of their little trio, and the addition that had decided to make their presence known.

Who is Nightbringer? I don't know who I think it is but I don't think they're acting in our best interest. My gut reaction is this person wants us to get power over the guys and in turn wants to get power over us to control them through us.
Lemme call your attention to that third screenshot.
Tumblr media
Night will come to ****THIS**** world and I will be the one to bring it.
It implies they mean the world they are speaking from.
The devildom doesn't need night. It's already night all the time to the devildom. The devildom has stars and a moon. You could black those out if you wanted to just bring darkness. He specifically said "night". Which is all the time in the devildom. It doesn't need to be brought there. "This world" is not the devildom.
The human world also has night. 50% of the human worlds existance is at night. It comes every 12 hours and nobody needs to bring it. Now you could give it eternal night if you wanna grab that other 12 hours. Then you'd probably want to state that you're bringing eternal night not just night. "This World" isn't the human realm.
There's only one place that night doesn't come unless you bring it. That's the Celestial realm. I know you likely already know this because they decided to remind us of this fact right smack in the middle of Asmo's visit during 12-13. Of all the things asmo could talk about he chose this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's not too strange that Asmo is talking about it since he recently wanted to go home but it's interesting to me that the writers want to make sure we know in case we didn't already.
The thing that seals the deal for me are these screenshots.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Noone arrives with a sense of or feels more joy in either the human world or the devildom. Humans are literally born into this world crying. Joy is the primary emotion of the Celestial Realm. There is no other realm that has more joy.
For the Celestial realm to be "This World" implies that the person speaking would have to be from there. They don't let demons in. I know we saw MC visit with permission in OG Obey me but those were different times, they had friends there and there was paperwork involved. In NB we've only seen Adam cross over after death and from the way Nightbringer speaks I suspect that's what they have in mind for us too in the end . Speaking of Adam, Adam said he heard a trumpet sound just before Nightbringer appeared. Trumpets are typically associated with angels. Who else but someone from the Celestial realm would be better to help MC send a lost soul home to the Celestial realm than someone who is from there.
The Celestial realm is the target.
Nightbringer wants the brothers under his control.
He needs MC for that. In a way that also implies that Nightbringer is not a human. Otherwise why not go after his own pacts like Solomon does. It can't be because he's not powerful enough. All that we have seen of him says otherwise. The only reason I can see is that it's just not something he can do. Demons can't make pacts with other demons. I'm guessing it's likely Angels can't make pacts with demons either. Also implying he's either a Demon or an Angel.
That brings us back to if "this world" is the celestial realm, there's no demons there.
He intends to use us to his ends and dispose of us and our glittery soul will cross it's butt over to what's left of the Celestial Realm.
Why now?
Possibly Nightbringer wants to stop RAD from ever becoming. Doing that could prevent inter realm relations from coming about. The case against that would be that even in the modern timeline they're still working on building those relations. That means that the modern time, while not the best option would still be doable.
I've also considered that maybe Nightbringer thinks MC is a lot less protected in this timeline than the modern one. It may be too late to grab her by the time she makes her original pacts. Sure, she herself is more powerful, but in the modern timeline she's under the protection of the entire devildom by Dia's authority. (Not that all of them abide by it but enough of them do) Right now she's got the brothers and Solomon.
It could just be as you said that it's a tumultuous time period. If things get bad enough there could be a revolt. Dia already said it himself that the conditions are ripe for it in which case the brothers and Solomon may not be enough to protect MC.
Barbs- I see no motive, also he's a demon. He's not high on my list of possibilities.
not Barbs but connected to Barbs- Possibly, but what if " as above so below" comes into play and the Celestial realm has their own version of Barbatos? Would their not be someone in heaven also watching the timelines?
It's Micheal- I see no support in particular beyond the fact that he's an angel and well I made clear why I think that. I think it would be kind of fun if it was him though. I've seen it mentioned many times that he really loved lucifer. Maybe this is revenge?
It's Solomon- There's something nagging me about Solomon. Why is Solomon allowed to wander freely and is even being hosted by Dia if humans in the devildom are such a problem. I'd suggest it implies he's not a human but he made a pact with Asmo so clearly he is and everyone knows it. Are there possibly 2 Solomons? One of them is still human and they still all know it so I'm at a loss there.
He is still trying to make pacts which means he doesn't need MC to do it for him so whether he's our Solomon or not our Solomon I doubt he's Nightbringer. He is a bit too careless with what he's doing for someone concerned about their future.
About the form changing and this screenshot.
Tumblr media
I did not get this story because I am guessing it's the one you have to get A or above on everything to read it. So my assessment of it is out of context. Correct me where I'm wrong.
This makes the most sense of all if one is talking to an Angel because it would likely be perceived as an insult. A demon wouldn't care. Someone doesn't sound "Just like a demon" if they are a demon. As you pointed out it would just be a statement of the obvious.
I've never seen Nightbringer bring up their demonness. I've never seen them call themself a demon. Is it all in this one story? I've seen them act shady like one but I have never heard them say they were one.
What if Nightbringer wants MC to become a demon?
Then MC won't be able to have the pacts Nightbringer wants and it's game over for Nightbringer.
Very cool to think about though.
I think our demon guise is more about making sure we don't get un alived in the first 5 minutes of being in the devildom. It was also never really said whether we were actually disguised or just assumed to be demons. I like Demon MC best so that's my headcannon but maybe they just don't know what to make of sheep.
We Need To Talk About Nightbringer (the Person, Not the Game)
I'm still scratching my head over what Nightbringer's goal is here... How is MC involved? Why send them back in time? And, of course, who are they??
SPOILERS Up to Lesson 12 Below Cut
The Fuck is the Goal Here??
Sending the MC back just to form pacts makes no goddamn sense. If the MC acquiring pacts was the real aim, then that mission was already accomplished in the present-day. There's something more here.
Why send MC back to RIGHT NOW? What about making pacts AT THIS TIME is desirable to Nightbringer? Is the end game even having the pacts at all...?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I posit that Nightbringer wants war, specifically, another war between angels and demons. The imagery of scales brings to mind the fragile balance of peace that Diavolo was mentioning between the realms before. RAD isn't built yet, his goal to improve relations is still in its infancy, and the times are so tumultuous that MC risks an all out fight starting just being there. So if Nightbringer wants to make things come to blows, then this is the PERFECT time to send them to.
However...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What is this "path to happiness" all about? What does Nightbringer think will make the MC most happy...? And what about THEIR happiness is linked to his? Is he assuming that in a war of the three realms, MC would side with the demons and thus if demons win then MC will be glad? That doesn't really track with the MC as presented in game... They're generally shown as a peacemaker or bridge builder. I don't think a war would make them happy at all!
Ultimately, I don't think we can answer this question in any way that makes sense until we have a better idea of WHO Nightbringer is so....
Who is Nightbringer??
It's Barbs
This goes for any version of Barbs: past, present, future, or even an alternate self I guess. This only makes sense because we're dealing with a demon who does time travel and there's only one demon we know who fits this bill but... why?
I can't imagine any reason why Barbatos would betray Diavolo, at least the one we know. This guy is so loyal to his lord that he's the ONLY character who won't completely kowtow to MC's whims even in the OG game. His true loyalty was always to Diavolo. Not the realm, not demons, DIAVOLO. And if Diavolo seeks peace, then why on earth would Barbs want to cause a war?? Is he more bitter about things than we thought...?
If it's a different version of Barbs, then I guess this goes out the window, but even then what's an alternate Barbs care about this world specifically? What would he hope to gain? MC? Why?? The means are all here, but I just can't figure out the motive, so...
It's Not Barbs, but Connected to Barbs
You know. I've been thinking a lot about this and I've been considering how, thematically, it could be appropriate for Diavolo not to be the only one with a progenitor/parental figure out of commission. We can assume that Daddy Devil must of had an attendant like Barbatos to aid him like Dia has Barbs so...
What if Nightbringer is the old King's previous attendant? And what's more, what if they aren't Barbs but related to Barbs? Like a sibling or parent? It's important to note that Barbs' time capabilities are not INTERNAL to him. It's his room of doorways to other timelines. Presumably, anybody with sufficient knowledge could inherit that room and just take over the role of the Devildom's time lord.
I know it goes against all of our previous notions to think that Barbatos was, at some point, just an everyday demon and not some primordial, OG force of nature but none of that was canon anyway. Something to think about.
It's Michael
I know people keep offering up this one, but I'm really not buying it... Yeah, Michael has always been this looming, shady figure over the OM universe and he's canonically and non-canonically done some eyebrow raising shit, but what's the motive here? Plus, Nightbringer's thematic ties to, well, night really feel more demon than angel... The Celestial Realm is always sunny, the Devildom is always dark. I think it's just a stretch...
Michael wanting another war could be interesting, especially since we've seen far more of angels being actively antagonistic to demons than the other way around, but I don't think that makes him Nightbringer. At most, he could end up being a shadow ally in his plot to bring everything to a head once again.
It's Solomon
In truth, even I don't think Nightbringer is the Solomon we're talking to. But I still think it's suspicious that all of this plays out so perfectly for our present-day Solo-pal... Personally, I take anything this guy tells us directly with a grain of salt since we know he'll lie openly, so here are the facts we're working with:
We are interacting with our present day Solomon (or at least one with knowledge of who we are and our timeline's events).
Solomon is the only one in this current space who knows of our full history in the OG timeline.
This Solomon put himself not only in the position of being the ONLY ONE who knows us that we can interact with, but happily isolated us from the brothers and made himself our main point of contact.
And last (and perhaps most importantly) HE'S STILL TRYING TO MAKE PACTS. He approaches Lucifer about it and successfully makes a pact with Asmo centuries before he's supposed to! If my guy is really from the present, that's like, Changing the Course of History 101! What the hell???
Let me present to you a theory. He is not present-day Solomon, sent back to help MC. He is past-Solomon, caught up to MC's identity through Barbs' time powers and just playing the part of our modern-day buddy. If he's from the past, he doesn't have to worry about changing the present timeline like we do because that ain't even him we've been speaking to. It feels like he has this bet going with Nightbringer... they have some kind of wager and MC is key to it. They're the one who'll tip the scales and Solomon is trying to get us to stay on his side.
It's Not Solomon, but Connected to Solomon
There's something off about Solomon that everybody, LITERALLY everybody, makes comments on: how he doesn't seem human anymore.
The OM timeline introduced the idea that a person can become something else, no matter what they started out as. The brothers were angels, but they fell, so they became demons. Simeon violated angel rules, so he was made into a human. The idea of corruption related to Solomon has always stuck in the back of my mind... The guy has over 70 pacts, he's lived for several centuries at least, and there's just something NOT RIGHT about him...
When Solomon and Nightbringer are speaking to each other, this line stuck out to me.
Tumblr media
I find this comment so damn weird. If Nightbringer is a demon and has always been a demon, why would Solomon feel the need to lampshade this? He's pointing it out as if it's meant to get under Nightbringer's skin... Why state the obvious?
What if Nightbringer wasn’t always a demon?
Nightbringer refers to and brings up his demonness as much as Solomon brings up his humanness. That, to me, reeks of insecurity. They may not just be fighting on the lines between demons and humanity, but fighting each other/themselves to prove who's side they're actually on.
What if Nightbringer is a fully-corrupted Solomon? Either a Solomon in the future who's fucking around with the past or a Solomon in this timeline/dimension that's trying to use MC to cause destruction for his world??
..... Okay, I do know this is a bit of a reach. As much as I would love to blame the sorcerer, Nightbringer still seems like a being who's just... been around a while. Far too long to start fucking up shit now. It's possible that if he is from the future and just hopping through time, there's nothing stopping him from going back however far he wants to, but then you could get into the "You are your own grandfather" paradox and the next thing you know we're in another installment of Kingdom Hearts where time is our worst enemy.
HOWEVER, the idea of corruption DOES bring me to my wildest theory yet.
What if Nightbringer wants MC to become a demon...?
Think about it.
It could explain why Solomon is trying so hard to make MC remember and side with their humanity.
It could explain why Nightbringer sent them there under the guise of demon to start with.
It could be why he wants them to make their pacts again. He's trying to seduce them into fully embracing the demonic world through their connection with the brothers.
Humans die, right? Why not be a demon and not have to worry about it?
Throw away the Ring of Light.
Stay by your demons' sides.
Embrace the darkness.
Join the damned.
And when that big'ol battle that he wants happens, he'll have the most powerful sorcerer/sorceress, fully demonized, fighting for his side against God himself.
..... Or that's my spec script anyway. Probably too out there, but man would it be fun...

alright, deepdive on solomon's reasoning here as requested! this is probably going to be LONG (popping back in after saying everything I wanted to, it is definitely long. there's no need to post or even read this, just turned out I had more to explain than I thought.) but it should stay mostly within the realms of s1-2 other than a couple brief nods to s3 as supporting evidence. to be clear, I'm not by any means an expert on solomon, I just dug through some solomon moments pretty thoroughly.
first of all, I just wanna say I appreciate your past post-people seem to say that purgatory hall "canonically doesn't know" but all I've seen is that they haven't mentioned it. I don't know what they do or don't know, or if I would have told them myself, but I think it's way more interesting to operate under the assumption that they do know. and in regards to the "immortality has desensitized him" theory, I'm not super in love with it myself- just because I feel part of the appeal of the solomon and MC dynamic is that he's not necessarily more sympathetic of the plight of their humanity than the others, but he is more cognizant of it. some of the boys are more aware of their fragility, others are more aware of their skills, but I think solomon is the only one I'd describe as at least aware of both. and I think while immortality might desensitize him to the other mistreatments of the exchange program, I'd argue that it would only make a death more impactful.
anyway, that's just giving credit to the theories I see more frequently. as for my own personal thoughts: season one solomon is a prick. he gets a weird fandom rap as being either unacceptably suspicious or somehow one of the most decent of the boys, and I kind of have to agree with both. basically everything he does for a while is either completely unclear in motive or very much layered and morally grey- which fits, honestly. he's not evil, he's just not especially good at first either. his first appearance he (jokingly, but still) threatens the MC and laughs at their situation if they ask for help, but also in doing so interrupts demons about to attack them. second real appearance, he saves them from lucifer and lends them his magic, but also pretty blatantly only does it because he thinks it'd be interesting. his discussion with belphie and MC in lesson 18? read to me as not exactly mean, but antagonistic- he says he didn't expect belphie to be willing to make a pact, but asks not only about one for himself but also for MC, and then about why belphie's looking for a reaction.
I honestly just thought he was kind of an oddball at first, because he does generally make kind decisions if not for especially kind reasoning, but my opinion on him changed a little after I stumbled upon a relationship chart (era s1) posted by the official twitter. basically everything on it has been addressed at one point or another, some of it way later than the chart was made, but solomon's is particularly striking- other than his pact with asmo, his only relationship is that he sees the other characters as "toys". which is kind of a harsh swerve from how he generally acts, but it does play into the fact that he tends to pretty often make decisions just for entertainment value. and he does somewhat address this in season 3, not explicitly, but he pretty heavily implies that he didn't always care about the demons- they also addressed simeon and diavolo's dislike of each other (first stated on the chart) in a similar timeframe, so I'm inclined to believe that's what it's referencing.
while I do feel that's relevant to solomon's motives, I do think he has the same motivations during season 1 that he does in season 2, or I don't see most of the events of season 2 ever transpiring. so, I went back through, and I'm assuming the dialogue that you're thinking of is "I'll do whatever I must to protect humanity... and you as well, MC.", because that also stumped me for a while. but I honestly think the important part here is "and." solomon has kind of an interesting dialogue quirk where he doesn't often refer to humanity, just the human world . the demons do too, sure, but only when they're talking about the world itself. solomon refers to humanity itself as the human world, which, vitally, MC is not in during season 1. he mentions that "Just as Diavolo puts the interest of the Devildom above all else, I feel the same about the human world. Nothing is more important to me than its peace and stability." and, given that by the time Solomon would find out about it, Diavolo and Barbatos have already ""saved the exchange program"", the realm itself isn't in any danger. there's sort of a parallel there that because diavolo's in charge of the devildom, solomon isn't particularly concerned with it. he says he's come to be fond of the devildom, too, when he's discussing the night dagger section with MC, but also admits that doesn't factor into his choices in resolving the situation. with "I've spent countless years watching over the people of our world, I have to make sure that their lives and livelihoods are secure, now and in the future"- it's contained in the Devildom, it's secure, and it's not his business.
that said, that raises the entirely different question of why does he interact with MC the way he does in both seasons. in season 1, he doesn't care about them as a human, he finds them interesting as a human in the devildom. "When it comes down to it, you're human, and that makes you different", he calls them a "destabilizing factor". they're objectively entertaining, in the uproar they cause, how unprecedented it all is (for a man who has precedent for nearly everything), and in their pacts. something not even he's been able to do.
in season 2, though, he picks them over the human world. he says himself that if he has to sacrifice the life of a demon to ensure the future of the human, that's what he'll do. without hesitation. and by all means, he could have. he had the dagger to begin with, there's no reason for MC to be the one to do it, but he hands it off to them knowing they will not kill him. like he says, he couldn't bear the thought of MC being angry with him, because by season 2 I think they're more important to him-not entirely sure where that happens, maybe sometime after the events of lesson 17-18 to the dance in s2. honestly, MC sort of IS the danger to the human world at this point, there's no other reason for him to be so lenient. maybe it's only because he has them to look in the eyes about it, and not necessarily because he's fallen for them, but because solomon is an inherently lonely man (this is again referenced in s3, but suffice to say a symptom of immortality), who is determined to make sure that the world he came from will last as long as he does despite not one individual person from it being able to, and saw the only people who could match his lifespan as playthings until just before. but MC is unprecedented. so when he says he'll do anything to protect the human world, and MC as well, he's not saying they're a part of the rule. he's saying by then, they are an exception to it.
TL;DR, because I had WAY more to say than I expected: solomon cares about protecting the human world and humanity as a concept, not necessarily every human as a person. season 1 solomon technically has no immediate need to protect the human world, and only the desire to protect MC when or because he finds them interesting. season 2 solomon does have to protect the human world, technically even from MC, but he's a very lonely character and has begun to care about them enough that they take precedent now. obviously this is a personal interpretation, there's always the chance I'm missing, adding, or misinterpreting things, but this is how I've come to understand his character. hope it helps, or is at least an interesting read, if you actually sit through it!
I agree, it is more interesting and makes more sense if the Purgatory Hall people know what happened. Even if we disagree on whether he's grown desensitized.
And this is a wonderful read, anon. It's exactly what I was hoping for. Something or someone to make it make sense for me. This does make it make sense. It's a great interpretation. It's a wonderful overview of his general attitude towards MC from a season to another and how it changed, as well as the logic behind it. And the change makes sense if we consider he went from NonDateable to Gen 2 Dateable.
I will say though I think my biggest problem is it was a major oversight of the writers to just gloss over whether the other characters were told what happened. It's so important, I don't care that everyone acts as if it didn't happen or matter at all, that's fine. That is a scene that should simply exist. Their reactions to the news would have been A PRIME OPORTUNITY to develop or showcase their characters, idiosincracies, personalities, etc. Whether they remain indifferent or not. Or a scene where MC is asked not to tell. It would have also given so much depth and weigh to the whole thing. Alas, it remains unadressed.
It's like watching someone paint a wall and leave a huge gap somewhere between strokes and never fixing it. GAAAAAAHHH so frustrating.
Tumblr media
But yeah, I will continue to play with the notion that They Know and just basically Don't/Didn't Care.

Are we still on the topic of Solomon & Lucifer's dynamic because I'd been wondering something and thought I'd ask you?
have you wondered if a part of the reason why Lucifer doesn't want to make a pact with Solomon could be because Solomon straight up refuses to make one with Mammon?
I mean, if a sorcerer who makes pacts with 1001 demons thinks he's too good to have one with MY favorite son brother, I'd be petty too lol
(yeah, his pact his right to choose the demon and all but no need to go around saying out loud "I don't want a pact with that demon 💅" amirite)
As sweet as the sentiment is, I'm gonna say it was definitely not the reason
~heavy S3 spoilers~
It's established pretty early on that Lucifer has a lot of issues with control and is actually very paranoid about his family's safety (most of this seems to stem from the whole thing with Lilith and the Celestial Realm, and we actually get to see him work through a lot of them throughout the seasons. I've made long posts about this with screenshots but I don't have enough data to scroll & find them)
Making a pact means giving the human the ability to control you. All 6 of Lucifer's brothers could have happily made pacts with Solomon and I still don't think Lucifer would have.
Hell, Lucifer wasn't happy about MC making pacts with his brothers either. While in the end he didn't try to stop them from making pacts with MC (their pact their right to choose it seems) he was never very thrilled with it either. (vaguely remember him threatening them right before they made a pact with Asmo).
Lucifer made a pact with MC after 1 year of living with them. By this point he knew them and clearly cared for and trusted them. As far as they knew MC didn't have any magic at this point and couldn't really use the pacts either (with the exception of the time Solomon let them borrow some of his magic). MC was also (as far as they consciously knew) some random ass human, with Lilith being their only previous supernatural connection. He still made a point to tell MC that having a pact didn't mean they were in control of him and if anything he was the one in charge.
So when you compare that to Solomon:
He was a powerful Sorcerer. He would have known how to easily control Lucifer if they made a pact.
Solomon himself admitted that he only started seeing demons as something more than just pawns after meeting MC.
Solomon had previous connections to Michael/ Michael had a great interest in Solomon (Michael who was presumably involved in sentencing Lilith to be executed & who fought the brothers which lead to them Falling)
Lucifer had never met Solomon before S1 (as established in one of the Devilgrams) and didn't spend much time with him during season 1, he would have no real reason to care for or trust him
Solomon made his pact with Asmo by getting him blackout drunk while Asmo was upset about a woman he liked rejecting him. Asmo himself admitted that Solomon probably knew who he was and made a pact with him to get to Lucifer. I can only imagine that Lucifer was livid at the time, specially considering what happened to his last sibling who got involved with a human.
+ As much as it's obvious that Lucifer does care about Mammon, that he is his favourite, that he actually tends to spoil him rotten and that he was happy that one time Mammon slipped and called him 'dad' , he's also never had a problem with hurting Mammon or bruising his pride (remember that time he told Mammon the only demon who actually cared about him/liked him was Diavolo? Yeah. Hurt like a bitch)
I also don't think Mammon would be willing to make a pact with Solomon, even if the offer was up:
In S3, he told MC that he didn't make pacts with just random humans.
But MC was just a random human when they made a pact, right?
Except in S3, MC travels to the past, meets them as angels, fits in instantly with the family, encourages them all to give in to their sins, has a lot of moments with Mammon (Mammon notes on two different occasions that they tend to stare at him but he also admits to liking them) and leaves. Michael (?) says that though the brothers will forget them, the impact that MC made would carry on. After MC leaves, it's shown that angel! Asmo (and Lucifer? And presumably all the others) vaguely remember MC/has dreams about them. With this context, it really explains how quickly they warmed up to MC in S1. (Which is hilarious when you think about it because, MC only fit in so easily with their angelic family because they had a couple years of experience being a part of their present day family. But the present day family may have accepted them so easily all the way back in S1 because they subconsciously remembered MC fitting in with their angelic selves)
Before MC & Mammon made the pact it was established that Mammon was the fastest of the brothers and that he could easily overpower Levi even while half asleep. Meaning, he could have easily taken Goldie back from them without having to make a pact.
In other words, it really does make much more sense if subconsciously MC wasn't a random human to Mammon and if he made a pact with the person who (when he was an angel) laughed at his pranks (that no one else found funny) and encouraged his dreams (that no one else believed in) and constantly looked at him in a way that made him blush. Specially because it's been established that it's MC's kindness and acceptance towards him that made him fall for them in the first place.
tldr;
Lucifer didn't make a pact with Solomon because he'd never give Solomon that kind of power over him
Mammon wouldn't make a pact with Solomon because he said he didn't make pacts with random humans and S3's time travel shenanigans mean that Mammon's had a crush on MC for an insanely long time
Anyway, here's some shameless self promotion:
Want to read all of this but condensed into a semi-crack fic? Try,
Tap on Wood (for fuck's sake)
Lucifer (the absolutely perfect, always a hundred percent in the right oldest) has three different conversations while (definitely not) stone cold sober with the bane of his existence (the light of his life (the bane of his existence (the light of his -
Mammon's just trying his best.

A Pain You'll Soon Regret - Pt. 3
Poly!MC Summary: MC and the demon lords get in a fight resulting in MC leaving. They planned on going to Purgatory Hall until things cool off, but they never quite make it there. TW: Heavy Angst, Violence, I don’t know what to tag this, but there is a pretty nasty verbal fight, Gore/Injury
***I legitimately teared up while writing this. This...This is heavy folks. Please remember to take care of yourselves before, during, and after reading this fic. Be safe lovelies ❤ -B ***
Part 1: HERE, Part 2: HERE, Part 4: HERE
The day had passed by agonizingly slow. The brothers really had no choice but to follow Solomon's orders, so they waited. With every second they could feel the invisible hands grasping their hearts squeeze tighter and tighter.
None of them had left the living room where they had gathered. They were all too frightened that an update on your condition would come in and they wouldn't be there to receive it. At least that's what was silently agreed upon. In reality, they were each taking comfort in being with the only people that could possibly understand what the other was going through.
No one knew what to do or say. There really was nothing to do or say. They had promised to always protect you, and because of a foolish argument, they had failed that in the worst way possible. Finally, after nearly twelve hours of radio silence, Asmodeus's D.D.D. dinged.
Asmodeus had never taken his phone out so quickly before. "Simeon and I are awake. MC is still unconscious. We will let you in and try to get you to see MC. Luke is still adamant about not letting you all in, so be ready for him," Asmo read out loud. Satan huffed as he started towards the door. "I don't care who Luke thinks he is, he's not stopping us from seeing our partner. Let's go."
*** As they arrived at the Hall, all of them were shocked to see a trail of now dried blood leading to the doorway. No matter how long it had been there, the scent still made it glaringly obvious that it was yours. Asmodeus gagged and turned his head away from the sight. "If it's already this bad out here, what are we going to be walking into?" He managed to choke out.
Lucifer swallowed down the lump in his throat and marched ahead. "It doesn't matter. Right now, MC needs us. We failed to be there for them earlier, I refuse to do so again." The eldest lead the charge to the front door of Purgatory Hall. He raised his fist to knock when several voices started shouting from the other side. "You never should've called them here!" "Luke, that's not for you to decide. They're-" "I don't care who they are!!!"
The door suddenly was thrown open just enough to reveal Luke.
You would think that the small angel was the Avatar of Wrath and not Satan. He glared at them with all the fury of the Celestial army. His face was red and his teeth were bared in a snarl. Despite all this anger, however, his eyes were still tinged red with tears.
"Leave now! You're not welcome here!" he barked before going to slam the door; Beel quickly caught it with his hand. "We're not leaving until we see MC." A growl that they had never thought they would hear from sweet little Luke, vibrated from deep within his chest before he began throwing himself at the door, clearly doing everything he could to try and close it.
"NO!!! You don't deserve to see them! You monsters are the reason they're like this! GET OUT! LEAVE!!" Simeon suddenly appeared from within the Hall and pulled Luke against his chest. "Luke, stop it! You're going to hurt yourself!" The young angel screamed and struggled as Simeon softly shushed him. It wasn't long before the screams turned into sobs and Luke broke down in Simeon's arms. The brothers didn't know how to react. Was the state you were in truly so bad to merit such an emotional response from Luke? Dread began to grow more and more within them as guilt kept them frozen in place.
The older angel sighed and gently began to rub Luke's back, before looking at the brothers with an emotionless expression. "As you can see, Luke is greatly concerned with MC's well-being, as we all are," he tightened his hold on Luke before he continued. "You may see them-" "WHA- Simeon, no!!!" Simeon gently shushed him and ran a hand through Luke's hair. "I know. I know you don't want them to, Luke, but they love MC just like you do. At the very least, we should let them see the results of their negligence, don't you think?" The lords winced at the jab and the harsh edges on Simeon's words. It was clear that no one in that house truly wanted them there. Luke pouted. "Fine. But I want to be in the room when they do." Simeon nodded and released the young angel. "Of course. I'm sure MC will be grateful for how attentive you've been to them when they wake up." He ruffled Luke's hair before glancing at the brothers once again. "Follow me." Their footsteps echoed through the quiet halls like a death knell. Each one rang louder and louder in the ears of the worried demons. They hadn't even seen you yet, and even so, each and every one of them were already beginning to wonder how they could ever let this happen to you. Images of you might look like flashed inside their heads. Perhaps you would resemble a mummy from the number of bandages required to heal you. Perhaps you would resemble a corpse, half-dead as you struggled to keep your heartbeat steady. No matter what they imagined, however, nothing prepared them for the real thing. Simeon swung open the doors to the lounge without any word or warning. The brothers' stumbled to a stop and collectively choked at the sight. You were laid out on the table in the middle of the room. Gauze covered a large section of the left side of your cheek and a strip around the circumference of your head. What little skin was visible was sunken in, making you appear dead. If it hadn't been for the shallow rising and falling of your chest, the brothers most certainly would have believed you were. Solomon had been in the process of checking the bandages on your shoulder when they entered, giving each of them a good eye full of the deep bite marks that covered your shoulder, collarbone and neck. There was so much red, that they could barely make out what was an injury and what wasn't. With a nauseous thought, they realized that small chunks of skin had even been torn from the flesh. They must have had to remove your clothes at some point during your healing process, for the only thing that covered you was a thin blanket that was trapped over your torso. All, except Satan, recognized it as one of the blankets from the Celestial realm. Though Satan had put two and two together when he spotted the small tag hanging from a corner with Luke's name written on it in golden cursive. The fact that you were barely covered meant that they could clearly see your bandaged thighs and the small, bandaged, stump of where your leg had been cut off from the knee down. The silence was cut off by a strangled sob from Asmodeus.
Solomon's head snapped as he only now noticed everyone. Rather than moving comfort the demon whom he's had a pact with for centuries, Solomon only narrowed his eyes into a glare and silently went back to work.
Asmodeus moved towards you, shakily reaching out a hand to touch. But he was stopped as Luke quickly slapped the hand away. The angel starred icily at him. "They're still recovering, you idiot. Touch them with your filthy infernal hands and you could infect and kill them."
Asmodeus snarled through his tears, and opened his mouth to shout at Luke, but was stopped when a hand sat on his shoulder. He glanced over to see Satan shaking his head as tears ran down his cheeks.
"He's right," Satan whispered, not bothering to hide the pain in his tone. "They're in an extremely fragile state. We should all, at the very least, wash our hands first." the others looked at him surprised. There wasn't a trace of anger in his voice. Only grief and regret. Satan looked over at Solomon, "Then I'm sure we'd all like to sit with them?"
The others held their breath as they waited for the reply, but Solomon simply remained silent and refused to acknowledge them. "Please," Beelzebub begged through a sob. Belphie held on tightly to his twin's hand. It may have looked as though he had down it to comfort Beel, but in reality, that hand was the only thing keeping him on his feet. Beel took in a stuttered breath before continuing, "W-We messed up last night, and we can't t-take that back, but I-I need to be with them right now. Please. I-I can't leave them again." Again there was only silence, with the exception of Luke grumbling under his breath from where he sat beside you. Mammon huffed and moved towards the basin of water that had been set up on a side table. "Well I'm done waiting for permission," he thoroughly washed his hands and moved towards MC when Simeon moved in front of him. Mammon growled and had to keep himself from bursting into his demon form. "What's the big deal?! You said we could see 'em!" "I said see. Not touch," the angel provided pointedly. Leviathan frowned and came to Mammon's side. "Luke is literally holding their hand right now! He cleaned his hands! There's no reason why Luke should be able to touch them, when we, their significant others can't!" Luke's nostrils flared as he went to lunge at the demon, but was stopped by Solomon putting a hand on his shoulder. The young angel huffed and settled for snarling at them. "I was the one that saved them! I was the one that washed the blood off of their skin after Simeon and Solomon both nearly collapsed from exhaustion after working for four hours straight on keeping them alive. I was there for them! And you weren't!" "We messed up!" Leviathan screamed back, his demon form bursting into existence as he cried. "We messed up and we want to make things better! We want to be there for them now! You can't just keep us from them!" "Leviathan," Lucifer placed a hand on his younger brother's shoulder. "Breathe. Please, I know you're upset. We all are. But we shouldn't forget what caused all of this in the first place." Leviathan ripped himself away from Lucifer's grasp and turned away from everyone. The occasional sob could be heard from him as his shoulders trembled. Lucifer sighed and looked pleadingly at Simeon. "Simeon, please. I know you owe us nothing and that MC may not even want to see them when they awake. But look at them. They're-" he cut himself off as his voice cracked and took a deep breath, "We're a mess. Please, just let us have a moment with them. That's all I ask." For the first time, Simeon's expression softened. He gathered up Luke and nodded at Solomon. The wizard pursed his lips in annoyance and glanced at the brothers once more before leaving the room. Simeon gave Lucifer a hard look as he held on tightly to Luke. "You will notify us immediately should even the slightest thing change from their current condition." Luke gaped at his fellow angel. "Simeon! No! We can't just leave them with those demons! Are you insane?" Simeon gave Luke a small smile. "They won't hurt them. I truly believe they wish to reconcile things and apologize for their words and actions. No matter how upset you may feel, this isn't our relationship Luke. It is not our place to meddle. MC will be safe with them." Luke grumbled under his breath and glowered at the brothers. "If so much as a hair is out of place when I get back, not even Micheal will be able to stop me from the vengeance I will inflict upon you." Mammon opened his mouth make a comeback, but was cut off by Lucifer. "Understood. Thank you for looking after our beloved in our absence." Luke scoffed and shook his head, before leaving with Simeon following behind him. The brothers stood in the room alone. They were with you, and yet they had never felt so far from you. ***To be continued in part 4! Still don't quite know how this will end, but it's bound to hurt. Sorry not sorry. In between uploading parts of this series, I will be doing other fics as well, just since this seems to be quite longer than I
had originally thought 😅 Thank you all for supporting this series! I hope you enjoyed it. Remember to drink water and take care of yourselves! I love you all!***

100 reasons to love Solomon (bc MC isn’t just a sorcerer they are my God therefore they do not count):
before MC, Solomon went Solo, man 😔
he constantly has the most out of pocket lore mentioned out of nowhere (ex: yeah i became immortal by accident bc of my cooking; oh yeah i fought basically the whole devildom once; hm yeah im friends (?) with the grim reaper lol)
aspires to be the best househusband he can be
is shit at being a househusband despite his best efforts extremely powerful on purpose sure but also by accident (sent MC into the past bc of his cooking in the OG OM)
somehow pissed off the whole sorcerer’s society which is anti-establishmentarianism
he used to be an uwu baby bean before he was magical that was a scared by literally everything (as seen in nightbringer when thirteen spills his backstory) which i think is funny as shit
bro went from ‘ur daughter will be home by eight 😊’ in the og game to ‘ur daughter calls me daddy too’ in nb
his best friend (with benefits) is the most slay girl queen pussy boss fashionista in the three realms
bro pissed off the grim reaper BY ACCIDENT because of HIS COOKING 😭
he literally cares so much about humanity that he would go against everyone he knows to save it but would still doom humans as a whole if it meant make it us happy (ring of light arc w/ the night dagger)
he is delusional (his cooking) (same bestie boo)
bro pissed of barbatos and LIVED (at least for now)
somehow is able to exist around Belphegor in NB and Belphie won’t try to murder him #respect
hes a manipulative little shit
he thinks we r adorable (got me blushin n shit)
he genuinely has a bond with asmodeus (as seen in season three with him allowing the brothers to surprise us despite not thinking it’s a good idea all bc asmo asked him to keep it a secret) and idk that makes my heart soft to know he’s grown to love and care about someone other than MC especially when we find out how he didn’t give a shot about asmodeus when they first made a pact in the og timeline
hes a silly little goose
bro has learned to become a communication KING when it comes to his feelings for us #characterdevelopment
‘now get out of the way, im angry’ “and you think I’m not?”
see above (double points)
he has a mysterious and sad past and it makes him a soggy wet pathetic sad cat in my eyes (i love soggy wet pathetic sad cats btw)
that conversation with Lucifer where he is SO SURE that the brothers will learn to love us again because he thinks that we are impossible not to love
he’s so funny bro like what else can I say to prove it,,, his whole character is a comedy 😭
he’s more peepaw than even Lucifer is which is an impressive feat in itself
Bro is literally known as the shady sorcerer TELL ME that isn’t funny
“Now, now, I’m not like you demons, I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t accuse me of behaving like one. I am but a simple human, an innocent lamb. 😔😔☹️” (funniest man alive fr)
his human world fit has me screaming without the s
the fact that he almost died to summon barbatos and still did it has me curious as to why
he would most likely watch the barbie movies with us
he would probably call barbatos to watch the barbie movies with us (and asmo ofc)
after watching the barbie movies, he would most likely quote and make references to it in his everyday life. Constantly.
there’s a theory that he’s locked in the attic in NB and some variations of the theory say he was the one to lock himself in the attic which once again is the funniest shit
bro is rizzmaster69 in nb
once again HE IS SO SMOOTH?! HOW?!
he puts the fear of god into demons’ hearts simply by mentioning his presence in the kitchen
(talking about michael) “do you think he’d mind if i called him ‘Mike’?”
he’s just as much of a nerd about TSL as Levi to the point where they have a tentative friendship because of it. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS MORE.
if he saw MC murder someone he would just go “well! where do we hide the body? :)” and he’s so real for that tbh
he is the definition of mansplain manipulate malewife (he tries to mansplain cooking to anyone who will listen)
he is the most submissive and breedable human being in the game.
he is most likely (besides asmo) the most open about his willingness to get pegged (everyone else is too shy to admit it)
he would let u call him solly wolly
do y’all remember that photo in one of the chats of him and Asmo doing face masks together? Yeah. That’s it that’s all I have to say. (someone please say I’m not hallucinating this I can’t find the picture of you have it send it to me I’m begging </3)
that solussy
pronouns in his bio on fabsnap (KING!! 🗣️💕💯)
“Mama Solomon and Papa Lucifer raise a pack of rowdy kids”
Solomon spelled backwards is Nomolos which,,, idk tbh i just wanted to point it out
his username is MonSolo what is that even supposed to mean what a loser (affectionate)
he’s a Sagittarius (I love fire signs and I’m an air sign saying this)
he likes having his chest touched during surprise guest interactions #bottom
he spills the most useless tea to you about the brothers and i think that’s so funny (“You know, Levi's actually on his SECOND goldfish named Henry." Is one of his dialogue lines if you have him on your Home Screen)
his cape is sick as fuck
bro has seventy two pacts and still wants more what a whore (affectionate)
he talks about his hometown with us in nb and it’s such a sweet and soft and vulnerable moment my heart literally melted during it
he admits that he’s jealous of the brothers’ relationship with us and tbh i alr mentioned the communication thing once before but i think being able to admit that to the one you love especially when knowing that MC loves the brothers too (romantic or platonic it doesn’t matter) is just really something worth mentioning and it made me feel for him bro
i just know he would support u in ur endeavors to wear toe socks and WOULDNT MAKE FUN OF U FOR IT UNLIKE SOME >:,( (yes this is personal)
that one head canon where his body is filled with pact marks. send tweet.
he has a pact with barbatos I CANNOT EMPHASIZE HOW IMPRESSIVE THAT IS
Barbatos willingly made a pact with him????? Like no trickery involved it’s legit bc he was impressed that Solomon summoned him and later respected him enough to make a pact with him just wow
he’s known Thirteen longer than he’s been a sorcerer which makes me love him so much more tbh
he went with to the Reaper’s Cave with the brothers even though he knows Thirteen hates visitors just to save Beel.
he saved our life how did I not mention that till now wtf
his song “Our Destiny” is a bop
one of his aliases in the wiki (by Asmo ofc) is “Mister Stiff”
i briefly mentioned this earlier but he’s literally infamous in the Celestial Realm for having taken on the entire Devildom on his own once
his reaction to being confronted on that is, and I quote, “Umm, did I…? Well, that was all a very long time ago! 😅” 💀
he wants to be all cute and domestic with us; got me giggling and kicking me feet bro
he has white hair
he’s pretty.
he needs to get his shit slonked stupid style (desperately)
HIS CHIBI IN THE DANCE BATTLES IS SO CUTE SHSNSJSJEHEHEHSNANJS
he’s such a good teacher!! he’s so supportive and genuinely wants us to learn and grow and just??? 🥺
he likes cats and there’s literally a gc with Satan, Sol, and us named Cat because of it
headcanon that you can pry out of my cold dead hands: he introduced Levi to Minecraft and plays it with him sometimes
he dislikes the ocean and that makes me super curious (but also same dude)
his food in the Surprise Guest menu (unidentified matter) is only liked by him; everyone else literally hates it and reacts badly if you give it to them 💀
HE’S SO HAPPY WHEN RAPHAEL LIKES HIS COOKING SHMSNSJEJDN 🥺
his soul drew the attention of a reaper because of how shiny it was and apparently ours is similar to? then his soul changed in a weird way and tbh I kinda want to bite it
he looks like he would listen to Megan (Thee Stallion)
HIS CARD FROM THE DAME EVENT RUFF RUFF GRR BAR BARK BARK AWOOOOOGA #zooweemama
he’s a little meow meow
he knows the tea in the brother’s household (like the Levi being on his second fish thing) all because he spends time with Asmo often enough that he tells Sol about that shit and if that isn’t fucking hilarious idk what is
he’s a magical girl u cannot change my mind.
Solomon “hates the heat more than most people, so he always stays cooped up in his room with the AC on.” (queen)
Solomon probably isn’t a capitalist
he can be big spoon or little spoon we stan
he’s the type to hug you from behind and then rock you both around a little which is so so cute
he wears crocs its canon guys i just know it
he literally bought us a shit ton of stuff like sugar daddy who????
he probably has an impressive crystal collection and he would probably give u some if u asked
he’s the type to give you little trinkets and be like ‘this made me think of you. :)’
he would do his best to pick up your half of the chores if you aren’t feeling well and he wouldn’t even say anything about it
yes he does the (horrendous) cooking, yes he does the cleaning
he’s babygirl
if you have a plushie collection he would support you in ur endeavors to add to it and might even get you some

he’s the type to put his chin on your head while hugging you from behind
he would dance with you when you both have free time and him along to whatever’s going on
he loves MC. he loves us. he loves you. <3
Today is all about your favorite sorcerers!
Tumblr media
The Devildom is definitely NOT still hung up over the fact that a certain sorcerer fought a war against the entirety of the Devildom by himself, and to prove it we've created this special day to celebrate him, as well as his adorable apprentice! ......and the other sorcerers as well, I guess
Please prepare an itemized list with the top 100 reasons you love your favorite sorcerer by the end of the day, or there will be dire consequences

The boys x MC with heavy flow
Lucifer
It all began when one of your worst nightmares came true.
You woke up early in the morning having bled all over his sheets.
You were panicking. Badly.
Lucifer was still sound asleep on his side of the bed, having noticed nothing.
Without thinking, you immediately get out of bed and go fast towards the wardrobe to grab some sheets.
You had no idea how you were going to change them without waking Lucifer up but one step at a time.
But he was already awake as soon as he felt you get off the bed. "MC?" He mumbled your name quietly before opening his eyes.
You wished a hole could open underneath your feet and the earth would swallow you. You also happened to be wearing white pijamas and so the blood was obvious all over you.
Lucifer had just woken up and was not thinking straight so his first thought was that someone attacked you or that another demon attempted to eat you and immediately rushed to you and pulled you in his arms. "Who?"
"what?"
"Who hurt you?"
"no one... I'm so sorry!!" You cried in dispair and that's when Lucifer started understanding what was going on.
"It's your menstruation? I thought someone attacked you... It's alright. I'll go fill in the bath for you."
Thankfully you changed the sheets before he realized you got them dirty.
Or so you thought. In reality he had noticed but didn't want to embarass you.
Mammon
He knew you were on your period.
You had told him the moment it came.
But it didn't matter to him much. He didn't know many things about it, only that you're in pain.
"Hey, come on, sit with me." He patted the couch beside him in his room.
He knew you were hurting and he wanted to cuddle you and watch some movies with you and spoil you with chocolate he stole from Beel.
When you shook your head in return, his heart shattered. "I'm not really in that mood."
"B-But! It's your favourite!"
"I'll just go to sleep."
"We can sleep together here."
You sighed and he felt the world twist. You didn't want him anymore? That's it? It was over?
"What did I do?"
"nothing! I just don't want to get blood all over your couch!"
"Ohh..." He felt relieved. That was all. Truth be told, this couch was pretty expensive but you were worth ten times that couch...
"Don't you wear that pad thing you talked about?" After you nodded he added. "Then it's fine. Get your stupid pretty human ass here now. You don't wanna miss the beginning."
Leviathan
He wanted you two to cosplay today.
You had been planning to go to that convention for months.
The day had arrived and he had excitedly changed into his costume only for you to come out and say you're not going.
And he's ???? So confused ????
He thought you wanted this as much as he did.
Did you fake your interest?
"look, Levi, I'm sorry. I was really looking forward to the con but I got my period today."
Ohhhhhhh it was because of that thing. That was a relief.
"it's fine! The con is a week long, we'll go by the end of it. And we can wear the costumes inside and cuddle!"
The idea horrified you.
"NO!" The costumes were amazing and Levi had paid of them. You couldn't ruin it.
"why?" He was confused again.
"I'll get blood all over it. I always get things dirty. You should keep me away from your stuff." After all you knew how much he valued his merch.
Leviathan rolled his eyes and walked over to you. He grabbed your wrist and pulled you down with him. He wrapped a TSL blanket over you and proceeded to play games with you all night.
After all, you were more valuable than all these together.
Satan
You two had visited Devildom's public library to get a book he had ordered for you.
He had seen how fascinated you were as soon as you heard it came out and immediately ordered it for you.
You were looking around the shelves with him while the staff was going to bring you your book when you felt an intense pain on your lower parts.
Looking down you realized blood was leaking everywhere.
Panicking, not sure what to do you hid behind a bookshelf.
Satan panicked as soon as he realized you were gone.
What if another demon had fetched you and eaten you?
"MC?" He called out your name. Once, twice, thrice...
"Here..." You said in embarrassement. You had the idea of using a jacket to cover the mess in your pants. But you had accidentally grabbed his...
When he finds you he was relieved. "There you are, I was worried..." Then he scanned you. "My jacket looks good on you."
You weren't sure how to tell him, so you continued and went all the day back to the house of Lamentation when you immediately put it in the washing machine.
Of course, he had noticed. You had been dripping on the floor.
But being aware this was a normal thing, he decided not to embarass you and make a big deal out of it.
Asmodeus
You were screwed.
You were seriously screwed and not in the good way.
This had been a lesson to you to always keep in mind when your period was coming.
Because the one time you had forgotten, you had wore Asmo's clothes to sleep.
He told you you could use them whenever you wanted.
It made him very happy to see you wearing his clothes and it made you feel very comfortable so why not?
This was the reason not to.
Because waking up that morning, you had gotten blood all over his clothes.
"Shit."
Your exclaim and panic woke him up, but he was too focused on your face to notice the blood at first.
"What happened, my love? Are you okay?"
"I'm so sorry, Asmo!!"
It took him a few seconds but then he realized exactly what you were talking about. He took a deep breath. This was a disaster, but you didn't do it on purpose.
"It's fine. It's your time of the month? Come on we should get you changed. Wanna run a bath together? I can give you a massage too." He winked as he got up to get the water running. He prefered to focus on you than his ruined clothing.
And this, my friends, is called love.
Beelzebub
You were always careful when it was your time of the month not to get anything dirty. Always.
However, the unfortunate day had arrived.
You were in his bed, playing on your DDD while Beel was picking up some food from the kitchen.
And then it happened. The major pain. And you realized you had been bleeding all over his sheets. You should change them before Beel-
Speak of the devil....
Beel walked in happily and let the food down on the tray next to the bed. As he leaned down to put them there he noticed the blood and frowned.
You were scared you had disgusted him.
"are you hurting too badly? I'll bring you some medicine."
Cause he's that sweet.
Diavolo
Yes I will say this every single time I write about this one;
He's busy.
So even if you do get blood in his stuff you'll certainly have time to clean it.
However, fate isn't very nice...
When Diavolo is in his study, he likes to work with you sitting on his lap.
When you felt the sharp pain in your stomach you immediately jumped off his lap and fell on the floor.
"MC? What happened!? Are you okay?" He asked worrily.
You didn't answer him, instead you run towards the bathroom.
Yes, you didn't get anything on him but it was big a jumpscare itself.
Diavolo knocked on your door once. "Dear? What happened?"
"nothing! It's fine, my period just came!"
He was silent for a bit. You thought he left but as soon as you opened the door he was standing right there and he hugged you. "I see... Come on, let's go back. I promise we'll cuddle when Im done."
"I'll get blood all over you!" You argued back.
In response he picked you up and walked back to his chair where he made you sit on him again.
Simeon
Simeon is such a sweetheart.
He probably has already noted your circle on his calendar.
He remembers when it's that time of the month always.
Usually, so do you.
Usually.
You had miscalculated this time. You thought it was due for next week and so you had wore a nice white dress for your date with Simeon.
He wasn't sure what to say. He thought you looked gorgeous in that one but...
"Sweetheart, are you sure? I love the way the dress looks at you but I don't want you to feel bad if it gets dirty."
You were so confused. "What?"
"You said you avoid wearing white when it's that time of the month... Unless you're late? Oh my lord, are you late?" His eyes were shining and that's when you realized what he meant.
"shit! No I am not! Wait here!" You rushed back into your room to get changed and indeed found blood between your legs.
You couldn't find yourself feeling bad tho.
All you could thinking about was the way Simeon's eyes had shined at the thought of being a father.
Solomon
As a human like yourself, he treats it much more normal than the others do.
He doesn't treat you any different then really, unless you're in pain.
Then you're getting backrubs.
You were sitting on the couch with him and he was telling you a story about how he first formed a pact.
When he was finished you felt the need to go to the bathroom.
Then you noticed the red stain in your pants.
Shit that was a lot of blood. Had you gotten it on the chair too?
Thankfully, when you returned it was gone.
And thankfully, Solomon knew magic to clean it quicker.

“I am the best,” Asmo said to himself, “I am the best!” He was surrounded by six mirrors in the middle of his bedroom, enacting the ritual he did whenever he needed a boost of confidence or a little comfort. He blew his reflection a kiss. “Oh Asmo, you are one sexy demon!” he added for good measure, moaning his own name and reveling in the sound.
Feeling himself once more, Asmo got ready to go out for the night. Next to staring at himself in the mirror, clubbing was his favorite pastime. Not only that, he viewed it as a noble duty. How could he not make an appearance at The Fall and let all in attendance feast upon his beauty? It would be better than the other day, he promised himself.
As he got changed, his mind wandered back to you. Asmo had hoped to avoid seeing you all day but you ended up in his art class along with Satan, Solomon, and Simeon. The art professor thought it would be an “enriching” experience for the class to draw a real live human. Since you were the shiny new thing, (Solomon was already well known among the student body and even had pacts with several students and professors) you had been chosen to be the model. Why anyone would want to draw a drab human when an immaculate being like Asmo was standing right there was beyond him, but he acted like any good student would and he sketched you perfectly to completion.
He still avoided your eye whenever he could. It was Asmo who had spread those rumors about you on the first day of class. He heard you had almost been jumped by a few demons within moments of walking through the doors of RAD. The news was gratifying, and a little disappointing since you hadn't actually been hurt. But it also somehow made him feel… guilty? Demons weren't supposed to feel guilt.
That’s why he had taken the time to say his mantras. He wanted to wash away the cares of the day. It was all about him now.
He passed you and Mammon arguing on the stairs.
Typical.
But he didn't care to listen in on the conversation.
“Bye bye, you two,” he waved, making sure his exit was known. He was someone who always demanded attention, even from those he hated.

“I want to explore the Devildom.” You said as you watched Asmo pass you on the stairs.
“And?” Said Mammon, “What do I care about that?”
“You’re supposed to be looking after me. I can't very well go by myself.” You almost told Mammon what had happened earlier that day but you stopped yourself. He already thought you were pathetic. No need to give him another reason to tease you. It was already starting to get old.
A mischievous smile stole across your lips. This was the perfect time to practice engaging your pact. “Mammon, take me out and show me around the Devildom.”
“Ah,” his body jolted slightly as the command took hold.
You had only ordered him a few times before now. Yes, the pact made it easier for you to get Mammon’s attention. But you didn't want to abuse the privilege. You just didn't want to be holed up in the House of Lamentation all night. You still didn't know what to make of the brothers. Mammon, especially now that you had a pact with him, was predictable. You liked that about him.
You took in the expression on his face, feeling a little guilty. “Does it hurt… when I command you?”
“Nah, pacts don't hurt. Not usually, anyway. It’s just annoyin’.” Said Mammon.
You were relieved. “Good, I really didn't want to cause you any pain.”
“Like a little thing like you could ever hurt The Great Mammon,” He shifted his gaze to the floor, blushing just a little. “Fine I’ll take ya around the Devildom. Beel’s in charge of dinner tonight so we’d probably starve if we didn't go out,” He sighed. “But you’re payin’ for the night.”
“I think I can do that,” you smiled. An envelope had arrived that morning from Diavolo’s castle containing several thousand Grimm, what would be your weekly allowance. All paid by the Demon prince. It seemed excessive, especially since most of your time would be spent at the House of Lamentation and RAD. But this was the perfect opportunity to spend it.
The two of you got ready to go out. Mammon donning his customary brown and white leather jacket. You hoped your own clothing was acceptable for the Devildom. There hadn't exactly been much time to pack when Diavolo and Lucifer had essentially kidnapped you, but Barbatos had prepared a bag for you of your own belongings.
The Main Street of the Devildom was within walking distance to the House of Lamentation, which was very convenient. Mammon took you to Hell’s Kitchen first, which was apparently a popular eating spot for RAD students. He went over your order twice to make sure there wasn't anything that would accidentally poison you. He had definitely been paying attention to Satan’s little lecture at the breakfast table.
After your meal, he pointed out the popular locations down the street.
“There’s Café Lament. And across the street over here, that’s Majolish,” He indicated a hot pink building shaped like a witch’s hat, “Best clothing line in the Devildom if you ask me. Actually,” Mammon ran a hand through his hair. “I got a modeling gig comin’ up so you might see me on the cover of— MC are you even listenin’?”
“Hm… Oh, yes I was. It’s just… It’s always night time here,” you looked up at the moon. It appeared to be right behind the Demon Lord’s castle now.
“Yup,” said Mammon.
“How am I supposed to get sunlight?” You asked. “Humans need Vitamin D to survive.”
“Are you kiddin’ me?”
“No, why would I?” You stepped behind Mammon as a group of demons walked past.
He narrowed his eyes as he looked your way. “Humans are that fragile, huh?”
“I guess you could say that.”
Mammon shrugged. “Then I guess you’ll just die here.”
You shot him a look.
“I was just kiddin’. Calm down, human.” He slapped you hard on the back. “Ya need Vitamin C that badly–”
“Vitamin D,”
“Semantics. Anyway, I’m sure Goetia up here has tanning beds or somethin’. That’s kinda like the sun, right?” He inclined his head towards the beauty salon you were approaching.
But your eyes wandered to the huge purple building that looked like a wrapped present. Colorful lights pulsed in the windows to music you could hear through the walls.
“What’s that place?” you asked.
“That’s The Fall,” said Mammon. “It’s a nightclub, Asmo practically lives there.”
“The Fall,” you breathed.
“Ya know, come to think of it, it’s kinda messed up that the club is named after the most traumatic event in my family’s– MC where are you goin’?”
You were already walking toward the building. The music was calling to you. Dancing would be the perfect way to unwind after your first few days of classes, you thought.
“Let’s go dancing, Mammon!” you grabbed his hand.
“N-now?” He stammered as he looked down at your interlocked hands.
“Of course! Doesn’t it sound like so much fun?”
The two of you were already inside. You paid the cover charge before Mammon could protest.
