The Potential of Asian Lois Lane. Pt 1: Girl Taking Over and American Alien, a comparative analysis
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lois Lane has had many iterations over the years. But specifically in the last decade, Lois has been reimagined as an Asian American woman in both the comics and recently in the animated show My Adventures with Superman.
I believe making Lois Asian is a very inspired choice for the Superman mythos! I would like to take a moment to analyze these versions of Lois from an Asian perspective, seeing what works, what doesn't, and what I'd like to see more of. We'll start with the comics first, as MAWS is going to need its own post.
Usual disclaimers: I'm just one Asian perspective, I do not and never will claim to cover every Asian person's opinion on a thing ever. We're not a monolith, we come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. I'm simply a fan who enjoys media analysis and believes it's valuable to have my perspective in this topic. Secondly, this discussion covers the comic run American Alien, which is written by Max Landis. He's an ultra creep and while I think the comic is worth a read for what it is, I leave it up to you whether you'd like to buy the comic. You can always arg-arg-ahoy otherwise.
I'd like to start with Girl Taking Over: A Lois Lane Story written by Sarah Kuhn with art by Arielle Jovellanos. This is a self contained YA graphic novel about a young Japanese American Lois dealing with the ups and downs of breaking into journalism as a career in National City. When her dream internship at Catco gets a corporate take over, Lois seizes an opportunity to write an exposé on a shady art director. But when her story is turned down, Lois does some out of the box things to get the story of marginalized performers shared with the world.
Tumblr media
Girl Taking Over is a fantastic story and I happily recommend it to anyone looking for how an Asian American Lois could be reimagined (with fabulous art by Arielle! The fashion especially is on-point). This story isn't just a diverse coat of paint on a Lois Lane story, being Asian informs Lois' experiences and choices. Both she and her frenemy roommate Miki, are ambitious Asian women yet have hidden insecurities where they still made themselves small to their respective white male bosses. They played into model minority in different ways, and it's only by working together that they're able to foster a community for their stories to be told.
Tumblr media
Lois and Miki don't just "have a diverse friend group", that friend group is actively being taken advantage of and suppressed by white gatekeepers. By extension, Lois' friends from work find solidarity in each other. Lois looks up to Cat Grant, a Filipina-American journalist, because seeing Cat succeed made Lois feel like her dream as a journalist is possible. I love how Lois' mom (a character so rarely expanded on in DC canon) acts as a voice of comfort for Lois in the story. All these characters feel holistic and whole, going through their own unique struggles.
Tumblr media
It's clear from interviews with both the writer and artist that they care for the history of Lois, and saw an opportunity to reimagine her in a way that aligns with her character but also revitalizes her for new readers of color who aren't used to seeing themselves reflected in media. It's taking Lois' ambition and fearlessness and channeling them into the need to be a model minority, and the insecurities that can come from the desire to succeed constantly. It's taking a character historically frustrated by sexism and disrespected by her male peers- including Clark Kent (who got better treatment than her as a man), and expanding her to be a Lois that has to deal with both sexism and racism in the workplace. It's humanizing Lois' excellence into something painfully specific and relatable for many Asian women.
Tumblr media
The only thing I feel I want from this version of Lois is... honestly more of her! I want to see what Japanese Lois does when she moves to Metropolis and works at the Daily Planet. I want to see how her experiences in National City informs her adulthood. Girl Taking Over sets up an incredible groundwork for stories to be told in the Superman mythos. How would Lois react to Superman, a fellow immigrant? Would Superman see himself in Lois? Since she's someone who, in the American context, is perceived as the perpetual foreigner? What would their relationship be like? Out of all the Asian Lois' in media we have so far, this Asian Lois' story has the most rich potential in my opinion.
Tumblr media
Up next, we have American Alien written by Max Landis. This 7 issue series swaps artists for each issue, as a means of reflecting different milestones in Clark's life. I will be focusing on issues #4, 5, and 7 since those have the most prominent Lois appearances. With that, I'd like to celebrate the artists for those issues: Jae Lee (issue 4), Francis Manapul (issue 5), and Jock (issue 7). All these artists did a fantastic job, their art styles are energetic and fun to look at. Lee and Manapul are both Asian artists (Korean and Filipino respectively) and I love how they draw Lois- who looks undeniably Asian in their art styles.
Tumblr media
American Alien is a modern take on the Superman tale. It expands Clark's story to be connected to Batman, Green Lanterns, Green Arrow, and more. We see Clark grow from his days in Smallville to a city boy in Metropolis, coming into his own as Superman. It's a bold and pretty divisive take with some standout story moments. From what I know, this is likely the first time Lois has been reimagined as Asian- and continues to influence Superman media like MAWS (the producer specifically calls out this comic as inspiration).
In issue #4, Clark moves in to his Metropolis apartment and talks on the phone to his mom about "some bigshot guy named Louis Lane". The reader, likely familiar with the Superman mythos, knows Clark is coming in with biases and a preconceived notion of who he considers a promising student reporter. Once we meet Lois Lane however, the comic turns the reader's expectations on their head:
Tumblr media
Lois Lane is an Asian American woman (it's not specified what her exact ethnicity is)! This is a fun moment where the comic metatextually challenged the reader's own biases, showing it's not just Clark who had a different idea of who Lois Lane could be.
Tumblr media
Lois' introductory panel is my personal favorite part of her characterization in American Alien. Lois proudly stands as a wall of text behind her recounts how she was considered as a winner for the Daily Planet's Charlton Memorial Laureate Program. When asked why she deserves a place on the program, Lois snaps back that the very question itself is loaded. She's listed her credentials and looks professional- so she's either already been rejected and is just being made to "at least had my say" or she's been accepted and is "meant to garnish my success with eloquent affirmation" to which Lois refuses to do either.
This is a great defiant introduction to Lois, showcasing how jaded she is with the way the world perceives her- but is very confident in her self worth as a journalist. By the end of the issue she reaches out to Clark to combine their exclusive interviews into one story to make a big impression on the news. Her words inspire Clark to seize an opportunity to make a big change in the world as Superman.
Tumblr media
Afterwards, the comic plays the classic Superman and Lois dynamic straight. Lois is initially suspicious of Superman, but eventually comes around and is inspired to hope through him. There's a great back and forth between the two where Lois' words initially inspire Clark to be Superman, then Clark assures Lois that Superman is probably just a good guy, and when Clark loses hope from a bad day of heroism, Lois gives him hope again. In the end, Lois realizes her love for Clark Kent over Superman and they share a passionate ending kiss.
Tumblr media
Overall American Alien nails the Clark and Lois dynamic and understands their relationship. I consider this Asian Lois "just okay". I like that we get to see an adult jaded Asian Lois meet Clark Kent and Superman, and see them get together. Similarly to Girl Taking Over, I'd like to see how this Lois and Clark would play out. My only issue with American Alien's Lois is a sense of missed opportunities.
The writing overall leaves room for plausible deniability over Lois' Asian identity. The artists (particularly Lee and Manapul) are doing the heavy lifting delivering Asian Lois. If she was drawn as a white woman, none of the writing would need adjustment. Sure her introductory panel implies that people judge her based on her appearance- but that could be just sexism instead of the intersectional experience of Asian Lois going through racism and sexism. Clark did assume she was a man after all- it's never specified if he assumed she was a white man. The only thing you'd lose is the metatextual shock value of Lois Being Asian This Time. That's really what this Lois boils down to, initial shock value with no specific writing to follow through. Her marginalization and identity is written broadly enough that it could be attributed to general sexism and womanhood. It's not specific to being an Asian American woman.
Tumblr media
However, because of its broadness, there's room for Lois' Asian identity to be built on in the world of American Alien. The story centers Clark's experiences, but I can easily imagine a continuation of the story expanding on Lois'. The basic groundwork is there. I think it's telling that in a comic called American Alien, we get a more diverse Superman cast system. Jimmy Olsen is Black, Lois Lane is Asian- when Clark moves to the city it feels expansive compared to Smallville. It's a world that feels ready to tackle themes of racism if it was ever to continue (and probably in the hands of a writer with that kind of life experience!). In the end, there's room for this Asian Lois to be something special. Clark isn't the only American Alien in American Alien, if you catch my drift.
You can see how Girl Taking Over has a huge piece of what American Alien is missing. The characters aren't just diverse for shock value, they're not an aesthetic change over historically white characters. They have a story to tell that is inseparable from their identities. Whereas in American Alien, the art is doing the heavy lifting with the reimagined diverse characters- Girl Taking Over has both the writing and art carry the representation. Lois can't be changed into being white in Girl Taking Over.
Tumblr media
Both of these stories have potential- but if I had the choice to pick which story should continue, it would easily be Girl Taking Over. This graphic novel works for what it is: it makes sense that this is a younger and idealistic Lois that hasn't met Clark or Superman yet. It's a YA book and Lois can absolutely carry a story on her own. What I want as an Asian fan, is for the potential of Asian Lois Lane to be seen through to the point it's considered the definitive version. As of right now, Girl Taking Over is a fun twist on the Lois Lane story. Not something that is seen as inseparable from the Superman mythos. However! If those themes of marginalization and immigrant identity are tapped into for both Superman and Lois Lane? I feel that has the potential to radically strengthen the overall themes of Superman. It's certainly been touched on before.
(TW/CW: racial slur mention in below image)
Tumblr media
Superman Smashes the Klan by Gene Yang with art by Gurihiru is a retelling of the Clan of the Fiery Cross arc in the classic radio show The Adventures of Superman where Superman faces off with the Klan who had been terrorizing a Chinese American family. The graphic novel adapts the story to center the Chinese American characters, and makes it a point to show that Superman relates to them. If that dynamic was applied to Asian Lois, that feels like a definitive love story waiting to happen.
Tumblr media
The classic two person love triangle with Clark and Lois is that Lois loves Superman and is indifferent to Clark Kent. She thinks Superman is this ideal macho man and Clark is a cowardly fumbling guy at work who rivals her. What happens when you take that dynamic and made it so Lois identified with Superman- the more othering identity? How complicated would that make Clark Kent feel? How would he navigate that when his marginalization isn't always visible? That's a whole new depth to the love triangle we're not used to seeing. I feel so far, none of these versions of Lois have touched upon this potential dynamic. The perpetual foreigner, Lois Lane and the ultimate alien foreigner that is Superman. The jaded city girl meets the alien farm boy who gives her hope. They inspire each other to be more of themselves in a world not ready to accept either of them.
Up next, we'll be discussing My Adventures with Superman's Korean Lois Lane in pt 2. It's well. You can probably guess how I feel about it from what I wrote here but welp. We'll talk about it.

I LOVE Teen Stan and Ford, it’s sad they don’t get drawn enough, so thank you so much!
Does Ford ever help Stan when he gets overstimulated? Or maybe when he has a rage response and suddenly starts crying and calls himself stupid?

Animation Vs Addiction: how this could go REALLY well, or REALLY horribly
a ramble on the upcoming episode
Tumblr media
PLEASE NOTE: i am not an expert on addictions, nor storytelling or writing, these are just my thoughts! you are free to your own opinion, take what you want, leave what you don't. also note, im writing this at midnight, excuse any typos or anything of the like.
so, to put it bluntly, i feel as if everyone is worried for how this episode is going to go, and that concern is rightfully valid !! topics like this, if not handled with the care they ensue, can go really horribly, and considering a majority of Alan's youtube fanbase is primarily children, this could leave either a positive or bad impression to them.
with things like these, there's the fine balance of "informative" and entertainment. arguably, steering too much one way or another could result in this not doing too well, in terms of the takeaway. id even like to argue that this steering too much towards informative could even be bad. lets start with that first.
Tumblr media
WHY IS LEANING MORE ONE WAY THAN THE OTHER BAD?:
TOO ENTERTAINING: this one is the more "obvious" of how this could be bad, if the video is more in favor of being entertaining, the main takeaway wont be anything actually sustainable, blue's addiction will continue to be a running gag, and the younger audience will see it as a silly thing. this is one of the worst case scenarios
TOO IMFORMATIVE: now, you may be wondering, "why is being too informative bad ??", and it all boils down to what the audience's takeaway will be, after the video. being informative ISNT bad, but with how alan's channel is set up thus far, with storytelling animations, if its, lets say just facts on a screen, the information will be useful !! but you'll leave the video just thinking "wow, i just know facts". you won't leave with anything to make you think, or any actual connection, because the information was handed to you on a silver platter, you wont reflect on an actual story of why addiction is bad, to give you that perspective to think about. you'd just have the top 10 reasons you see when you google "why is addiction harmful??" our brains learn by doing, and experiences, even others, even in storytelling, make you empathize and connect with the character, and arguably, can be more effective than being told facts straight up. this is a reason why myths and fairytales exist, to teach a lesson without spoon feeding it.
SO, IF TOO ENTERTAINING, AND TOO INFORMATIVE IS BAD, WHATS THE BALANCE ??:
like i mentioned near the end of "too informative", the animation, for it to work well, needs to give a perspective, not facts
perspective will make the audience THINK, therefore learn, "oh, THIS is bad", showing rather than telling will help the audience make their own conclusions instead of spoon feeding it to them, which is what most of alan's channel has done with storytelling anyways.
arguably, green's influencer arc can be a decent example of this
Tumblr media
it didn't tell you, "be careful of social media addiction" rather it showed the slow progression of green, being influenced, and how it slowly tore him apart from his friends and eventually started messing with his own wellbeing and how he ended up isolating himself, in order to prioritize content
i wouldn't say it perfectly fits the balance between informative & educational, as of how it ended with the third episode, but it definitely struck close in my opinion, at least for the second episode.
and thus, your takeaway from that is, "wow, that sucks for green, this is because he got addicted to social media !!" rather than just being told that. you got to learn alongside green as to the actual effects that can have.
ASIDE FROM THAT, WHAT ARE OTHER CONCERNS ABOUT HOW THIS COULD BE HANDLED ??
my other main concern is how its been treated in the past with the jokes, and how that might affect this upcoming video. can they turn around and turn it into a serious thing? absolutely that's possible, and there's no telling that netherwarts will even be involved in this video, it could be something entirely different, as this community post explains, blue is arguably prone to addiction in other ways than just netherwart, so it wouldn't be completely unordinary if it wasn't involved here.
HOWEVER, in my personal opinion, netherwarts or not, i do feel like however this video may go, if it resolves with blue overcoming addiction (as it most likely will), i do have the concern that blue would have this arc, and then the channel would go right back to including the netherwart addiction gag as a joke, as if the video didn't happen. does this mean i think blue shouldn't touch netherwarts after this? no, but i do feel as if there should be SOME difference in their intake of them after this, or else its just an arc for blue's character, that repeats as if it didn't happen, just for gags.
SO, HOW COULD THIS GO WELL, AFTER EXPLAINING ALL THE "WHAT-IFS" ??
if done right, this video could go well, and spread awareness, alongside expanding on blue's character. i think its great that Alan and his team are willing to tackle topics like this, and they have shown that they're able to do so, similar to green's influencer arc. i am hesitant on how it will be handled, but not in a way as to where i doubt the team's ability to portray this, moreso just due to how delicate a topic like this can be
but, overall, if they balance entertainment & education, and really implement this into blue's character instead of returning to a full force gag afterwards, i feel like it could be a good video :)) once again, these are my thoughts, my opinions, your free to your own & free to disagree with my points and ideas take what you want from this, leave what you dont !! :))

Like canonically I would never wish Batman upon Dick Grayson but I often daydream about an so-called "ending" to Batman being that the Mantle going to the First Robin and in turn, the First Robin raising Batman's son, Damian. It makes me so :)). Comics can't do it but in my canon ending, Bruce is dead /jk
OH YES THIS TOO MAKES ME SO :)) it’s in the same vein as not wanting Damian to be Batman in canon, but cool to see it in some other universe!! also you say jk but! if the comics can do a Robin Lives! series, they can do a Batman Dies! series and keep Dick in the cowl LOL
i'm sure everyone that enjoys this kind of daydream (me included ofc) has read this fic, but dropping 3:16 by partingxshot if anyone wants to get an idea of another Dick and Damian dynamic in a world where Bruce is basically assumed dead
One Minute Past are extras in the AU to read after if you crave more!

Jail Cell
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eben Oleson x Fem!Reader
You had been dating Eben for awhile, and during one of Barrow's annual blackouts he brings you along for a night of fun. In the empty sheriff's department an idea crosses your mind, something to do with an empty jail cell...
Tags :) SMUT , Oral!fem receiving , very minor roleplay (i.e. calling Eben 'officer' and one case of being called 'inmate') , handcuffs (he's a sheriff, you didn't think I was gonna do anything with that? c'mon) , mentions of bruising and some pet names! , I think that's if but if I missed anything please tell me xoxo
Eben crashed against the light switches of the sheriff’s department. A move blinded by your lips and tongue, making sure you got every taste of him as you pushed through the doors.
It was Barrow’s annual black out, your second, but your first together. It was exciting; you had only recently moved to Barrow to take care of your father, and Eben had always known the blackouts as a simple factor of life.
Eben had been aware of what it was like to relish in the quiet of a blackout with someone, but now he was with you; someone who hadn’t always known the dark skies of Barrow. It was something he had been looking forward to. Sadly, a month of cuddling and gazing under the northern stars turned into constant care of your families and jobs, leaving very little time for you to indulge in one another. Pent-up emotions and heavy eye fucking throughout the days resulted in snowballs being thrown at your window in the middle of the night, as if you both were teenagers.
The adrenaline rush certainly felt like your teenage years as you snuck out of the house to meet Eben in his SUV.
The lights snapping on throughout the department shocked both of you out of your lustful trances. It gave you a moment to look at your heavy breathing partner. Eben doing the same as his eyes surveyed over you. The cold had pinched his nose and cheeks red. The lack of oxygen from making out and the biting wind were a viscous pair.
“You’re gorgeous.” Eben breathed out, squeezing your sides lightly.
You smiled and pushed him back playfully, which only made him grab onto you tighter; pulling your warm bodies together to continue what you had been doing. Right before your lips connected, from your peripheral you saw a very empty jail cell in the back of the room.
An idea sparked in your brain, something you had been wanting to do since falling in love with the town sheriff.
You pulled away with a smile on your face. “Wait, wait, wait—” You skipped to the empty cell, “I wanna do something!”
Eben stared at you in wonder, peeling off his coat to follow you absentmindedly. “What’s that?” He asked playfully.
The coat fell from around your shoulders, grabbing it at the last second to throw it to the side. You walked backwards into the cell, grabbing onto the door and closing it as you progressed further into the cold room. The metal door closed with a small echo, which was dampened as you turned around to press your back against them. You turned your head to look at Eben, who was chuckling softly behind you, the sound of him sending butterflies to your stomach.
“Really?” He asked as you turned around with a fervor in your eyes.
You smiled through the bars, face pressed close to the cold metal. “Really.”
He chucked again, running a gloved hand through his hair. “You do something to me, lady.” He walked forward, leaning in to kiss you through the bars.
“I’m not sure you’re supposed to really kiss hardened criminals.” You hummed delightfully.
Eben raised a brow. “You’re a hardened criminal?”
You backed away from the bars, swaying your hips and shoulders suggestively. “The worst of the worst, baby.”
He rolled his shoulders back while holding back a very obvious smile. Eben gave a half-hearted shrug before tightening up his face.
He ripped open the jail cell, taking a step inside. His face was hard and stern, making your skin tingle with excitement. “Inmate…” even his voice felt cold, like he had never been more angry. “What do you think you’re doing?”
You couldn’t contain your happiness. Roleplaying had never been something you’d even think of asking him, and now that it was actually happening, the pure excitement of it was overflowing out of you. You seductively slid towards him. “What do you want me to do?” You raised your hand to brush against him, only for Eben to aggressively grab your wrist.
He spun you around forcefully with an angry glare, which ignited a deep fire throughout your nervous system. A plethora of knots began forming in your stomach.
“You have some serious behavioral issues.” He growled.
“Ya gonna do something about it?” Your finger hooked around a belt loop, tugging ever so slightly. Part of you just wanted to get this over with — would it be too much to say ‘cut!’ and drag him down to the floor?
He grabbed the back of your head and pushed you against the bars. You would’ve cooed at the protective action if you weren’t in the middle of something.
His hand ran down your body, the roughness of his glove and the gentle touch made you shiver. He grabbed your other hand and brought both of them above your head.
All your fantasies coming alive at this moment were too much to process. A giggle bubbled up to the surface, but shut down as soon as his leg pushed the back of your knees, causing you to crumble to the ground.
You looked up at him with enormous eyes, watching him intently as he was too busy focusing on ripping his glove off with his teeth to grab a pair of cuffs around his waist. The act had made your tongue heavy, your eyes floating back to their level as his crotch stood right in front of you. A thousand nights of nuzzling against his thighs after intimate nights made the knots in your stomach tighter, lighting them ablaze.
Cold metal snapped against your wrist. You looked up again to find your gloves ripped off and metal cuffs replacing them. The chain weaved through the bars — you were stuck.
You made eye contact with him, brows furrowed together to convey that he was angry, but you knew he was everything but.
“Do the glove thing again!” You whispered. It felt as if you two were actors in the middle of a play, improvising as you went on.
He raised his brows before bringing his hand up to rip his other glove with his teeth, tossing it aside.
Your giggle echoed through the department, and a smile ripped across his face. You leaned back against the bars, legs folding out beneath you to rest on your butt.
Eben followed you down to the ground, situating himself between your spread legs. “Am I doing okay?” He whispered, once again enforcing the idea that they were putting on some type of play. The idea made your smile all that more infectious.
“You’re doing great.” You leaned in absentmindedly, needing to kiss him like nothing else. Your lips felt empty without him there. “I’m so turned on.” You whispered before his lips took yours.
Your body was on fire as he leaned further into you, arms surrounding your head to keep himself from falling into you.
“You’re really bad at being a corrupt officer.” You playfully whispered against his mouth.
When he pulled away, you thought you’d go into cardiac arrest. His heavy breathing and lidded eyes were too much, but kissed red lips were just the cherry on top. A heartbeat pounded between your legs, begging for something.
“Oh, really?” He asked, his voice dripping with lust.
In a flash, he grabbed your legs and brought them to his shoulders. Your scream of excitement acted as no deterrent as his lips gave small kisses to your inner thighs, pressing through your pants as if nothing was going to stop him.
You giggled and squirmed as his lips dared press against the one area they needed to be.
“Eben- Eben, please.” You begged.
He looked at you from between your legs, a sight which would echo in your head for the rest of time. “Please, what?”
“You’re such an asshole.”
He kept eye contact as he slowly and gently pressed a kiss to your center. You could barely even feel it, but the act itself made you lose your mind. You leaned your head back as you hissed out curses.
“Will you just fuck me already?” You whimpered, and the kissing stopped altogether. The embarrassment fluttered to your face. Pure heat was radiating off of you.
Eben seemed to like that answer because he rested your legs on his shoulders to toy with the buttons and zippers of your pants. The fact you couldn’t help speed this process up was making your head spin, and he knew that. You had never found Eben to be an evil man, but the one time you ask him to be an evil police officer, he’s the most corrupt man in the world. In the back of your mind, you began wondering if he had always wanted to be evil like this. Draw out your torture, make you squirm and beg for something — the thought of that made you lightheaded.
He moved your legs to one shoulder to slowly take your pants off, each inch of skin gaining a small kiss. He ripped your shoes off to leave your only comfort of warmth being your knee-high socks. You must’ve been a sight to behold because as soon as he spread your legs again, his eyes dilated in a fury of lust.
“You look like you’re gonna eat me.” You breathed out with a small smirk. He resembled that of a hungry predator, you his simple prey.
Eben tilted his head ever so slightly, a brow raising which told you everything you needed to know. You watched in horror as his mouth opened, rolling out his tongue. He leaned forward and licked a painfully slow strip across the center of your underwear, giving you a taste of what was to come.
You squirmed as his grip tightened on your legs, keeping you as still as he needed you. He only released one of his hands to pull your underwear to the side, to get to where you finally wanted him.
The feel of his tongue against your cunt made you hazy. His hot breath battled the cold empty building, causing shivers all over your body.
He squeezed your thigh, a bruise that would come to form in a couple hours, something you were waiting to see flourish. He kept your underwear to the side, fingers grazing your clit ever so slightly as his tongue worked its way inside.
You squealed and moaned like your life depended on it, but he wouldn’t let up. He only stopped tormenting you to pepper small kisses on your inner thighs while he shushed you.
“If you think I can stay quiet during this, you’re an idiot, Eben.” You were out of breath, panting like a dog as his kisses warned closer and closer.
“Good inmates don’t talk back, sweetie.”
You whined, leaning your head back in frustration.
“Good inmates don’t whine either.”
You settled for a pout, which opened its way into a gasp as he kissed your clit gently.
“Try not to move too much.” He purred into you. “Don’t want you falling off.”
You couldn’t help but nod at his request, he had successfully turned into you puddy. You kept your hands busy by grabbing onto the bars, squeezing your eyes shut as pure ecstasy rolled over you.
His thumb rubbed soft circles into your clit as his tongue lapped at your center, curling in and out. The roughness of his thumb and the soft plushness of his tongue twisted your nervous system into knots. He dug his face further into you as the fire in your abdomen grew unbearable.
You tried to tell him you were cumming, but words escaped your heavy tongue. Your body ignited, legs to shaking beside his head.
Eben continued on, digging his tongue deeper into you as he rode out the electricity which shocked your body. In a parting gift, he gave a small kiss to your cunt once more before pulling away, looking at you from your pelvis.
The panting echoed throughout the building — you’d be surprised if the entire town hadn’t woken up.
“Wanna go again—”
“I’ll kill you.”
He chuckled, unhooking your legs from his shoulders. Using your legs, he pulled himself closer to wrap your legs around his waist, protecting your scantily clad ass from the cold concrete. He leaned in to kiss you, allowing you to taste yourself, which left you giggling.
Your noses were touching, hot breath intertwining. “Thank you for correcting my behavior, officer.”
He growled dangerously, his smile toothy and dangerous. He snapped his head and was kissing and sucking your neck wildly — a horny vampire.
You screeched his name, giggling wildly.

A Very Drarry Holiday Season
I got tagged to do the Holiday season Drarry fun by @kamaela and @soliblomst and @its-the-allure - THANK YOU BABES I LOVE IT <3
I'm going to mix the challenges together due to an excuse that sounds believable and is also funny being the way that I am.
Tagging: @mallstars @thusspoketrish @ghaniblue <3
Actual entries under the cut because the length of this got way out of hand, whoops. It's apparently the theme of the day, for me. :-D
Because This River Is Wild
The first Christmas after Pansy and Luna's wedding threatens to be an awkward one, mainly because they're both dancing around the topic. Among other ones.
Harry is dead worried about making jumpy assumptions about Draco wanting or not wanting to spend the holidays with him. In the process he absolutely fails to actually ask Draco what he wants to do, instead looking for clues in everything he says or does, starting somewhere mid-November. His not-making-any-assumptions assumptions start going up the walls approximately a week before Christmas. The signals are signalling so very conflictingly. Harry is a mess.
Draco, on the other hand, is pretending very hard not to let it show how much he needed to make plans and preparations weeks and weeks ago. Because clearly Harry is more a live-in-the-moment kind of person who does not need to decide on his holiday plans in advance, and Draco can be casual, too. Definitely. Unfortunately, his inbred unchill starts going more and more haywire as time progresses, and finally escapes its enclosure the day before Christmas Eve.
This, their very first Christmas as a couple, is an important teaching moment in trust that, for the first time in their mutual history, doesn't end in a disaster.
It takes a few years still for Harry to let go of his aversion for asking questions, and for Draco to stop guarding himself so closely. But, I mean, isn't wedding planning a crash course in personal growth and an excersize in relationship functionality by design?
Seven Hectare Heart
The most brilliant idea of his life comes to Harry on one of the nameless, faceless days between Christmas and New Years. He immediately goes to Malfoy’s, even though it’s hours before his usual dinner time. Although, who cares about the concept of usual time, anyway, when the only commitments you have are to yourself? “I have a proposition,” he states as he sits down in his spot at the bar. And actually, isn’t that a lovely thing to have? Malfoy doesn’t even blink an eye, which, isn’t that also quite lovely? “Should I be worried?” Harry takes a deep breath and leans against the bar.   “You should invent a spell that stops the masses from gathering at my house every bloody Halloween.”
Love the way you're running out of life
On the first hour of 2010, under the full moon, Draco learns what life tastes like, and what it's like to be treated as such in turn.
He had clocked Potter's actual presence around him a few moon cycles back. He'd thought it was a hallucination, first, a fever dream and a sign of his impending insanity. He thought the sweltering heat of the late August night had gotten to his head, had fried his neural pathways, that his mind had finally given up on reality.
But the whispers of Potter didn't dissipate, and they did not stay to one any sense. A blur of motion on the corner of Draco's eye. The gentle swish of fabric-on-skin. Air moving like breath on Draco's neck. The static of a fingertip not quite touching the small of his back.
First, it was only on that clearing on the Manor grounds. Then, slowly, boldly, elsewhere.
Once Draco learned to recognize the feel of eyes on him, of being watched, he knew.
The truth of it was infuriating. It was unfair.
It was, above all, extremely erotic.
Had Potter always been there? Draco had to assume so. Did Potter know what he was doing to him? He must have, it had to be intentional. Did he not understand the danger it posed on — oh. Not danger, then. Or, rather, not on Potter.
Not solely on Potter.
And so it became a game, one Draco didn't know was designed to end up in the mutual victory of a torturous, exhilarating, consuming mutual destruction.
The why of it never crossed Draco's mind. It didn't have to.

The TNT broadcast won me over a bit with the post-show Bobby interview 😭 I was so charmed by Bobby when he brought up Hank beating him in his last Winter Classic appearance.
Goalies ways of complimenting each other is always so fun to watch. Such strange little creatures.
Not sure exactly who said “What a stud!” At the end of the interview but whoever said it should understand now why the cats will attempt murder on anyone who gets too close to Bob. How could you not honestly.
i was honestly surprised they got bobby to do a postgame interview with them! i thought they were gonna ask maffhew again considering how much they were going on about his shenanigans the entire time im like theyre absolutely gunning for him for the postgame huh? so imagine my suprise when little ole bobby is sat politely on the bench with his headset on... damn near scared my neighbours from the yell i let out...
but so correct of them they started kitty warmies talking about the winter classic and goalies (lu and hank) they should end it talking to goalies yes!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
once again increasingly very obvious when hes answering a normal question (🥺) and when hes answering a question about a goalie (😁) like ohhhhh hes smiling so hard bringing up the 2012 winter classic against hank
That was Army who said, "What a stud!" because of course it was lmao who else on the panel would it have been but mr armdog... it tracks extensively
