wait I have one more ramble in me. botw shows how pinning all of the fate of the world on two chosen ones is maybe a terrible idea, both for how it affects the chosen ones and how it leaves the world doomed if they fail. and it lets them fail! it comes this close to questioning if things have to even be like this at all, if we have to follow what the legends say. but then it can’t really go the full mile, bc this is still a loz game, and you’re playing as link, and only you can defeat the calamity.

but I still think it manages to shake the table in an interesting way. you don’t need the master sword, you can use any old weapon. you can meander around aimlessly forever and leave hyrule doomed if you choose to play that way, and you don’t run out of things to do. your friends (in a more direct manner I feel like than past sages) can do SIGNIFICANT damage to calamity ganon before you even touch him. It feels less like your divine duty and more like you’re righting a past wrong. some of that is a consequence of the new looser open world format but it’s still in the game! It still has story and thematic implications to me! i think maybe that’s another reason why the shift in tone abt how totk talks abt link irks me lol

Hihihi, I came to drop some facts about my au again but first here is some art I made of RMN!Missa

Ok, here we go

• Missa wears loose/puffy clothes a lot mainly because

1. Its easier for him to readjust any loose limbs in the moment without any hassle

2. It’s not easily noticeable, so he can swiftly readjust without scaring anyone in the mortal realm (at least that’s what he thinks)

• Not only does his corset serve for fashionable purposes, it also protects his spine which is the only thing that’s keeping him connected to his lower half.

• Same goes for the boots. He would like to be able to runaway from the danger in the afterlife

• He has the ability to fly but very much prefers to walk because he thinks he might drift off endlessly into the sky and not be able to return

• Souls are like bugs, they are attracted to light. The lantern attached to missa’s staff helps him easily find souls more (plus it gets really foggy in the afterlife, so this benefits him in two ways

• I tried decorating missas skull similar to sugar skulls, mainly to match his outfit (unsure if it’s still a wip) the designs on his cheeks are suppose to depict stars and I thought it would be funny if I gave him a giant crystal on his head to represent the North Star, but he always has that part covered up.

•finally, if you shine a good amount of light along anything that can reflect light in the afterlife, then you would be able to peer into the mortal realm, but you only be limited to the pov of the said object you are looking through. (Works similar to that one place in owl house that first appeared in Yesterdays Lie)

This trick can also be done in the mortal realm, but you would need to shine soul fire instead (given the circumstances right now, soul fire is impossible to obtain)

But if this trick is done in both realms on the same spot, then it would create a window where both sides will be able to hear and communicate with each other

Ok so this is a sort of vent/rant post and not at all Star Wars but I don’t have any other accounts so I’m putting here.

I have 3 chronic stomach issues. 1 diagnosed (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) and 2 undiagnosed and people in my family have been pissing me off. SO here is what not to say to someone with chronic stomach issues/pain! (P.s. if anyone thinks they know what I’m experiencing please chime in!!!)

“I used to have acid reflux and I took — and then it went away! I bet it will help you!”

I have taken sooo many medications. And it’s not just normal acid reflux (which lots of people can get and is super easy to treat so don’t panic if you have it!) it’s very much chronic. Please please please stop suggesting stuff to me I guarantee I’ve either already tried it or know it won’t work.

“Going for a walk/run can really help gastro issues! Have you tried it?”

Now to be fair this can be true. My issue with it is that one of my issues cause pain and discomfort every time I stand up let alone walk. I have explained this many times to many people and I still constantly get this “helpful tip”. Please listen to me when I tell you I can’t do something.

My stomach hurts too when I eat/drink junk food. You’re overreacting.”

I guarantee you I am not. I’m sorry that it happens to you but knowing how I feel it’s probably not the same thing. I either feel like I’m on the verge of throwing up all day and sometimes for multiple days at a time. Or I’m in pain every time I stand up and try to do anything. Oh and it can be when I eat anything not just junk food. You don’t know my body and how it feels. And you can’t tell because I try to hide my discomfort to make you happy and to attempt to get on with my life. Please don’t ever tell me I’m “faking it” or “overreacting” you have no idea.

Anddd last but not least:

“Don’t eat/drink that. It will hurt your stomach.”

Yes you are right. The ice cream or cookie I’m about to eat probably will hurt my stomach. But I track everything I eat and have had so many tests done but still cant find a trigger. Junk food does usually trigger it but anything can, so I might as well eat/drink something I enjoy when I get the chance. Also, DONT TELL DISABLED PEOPLE WHAT TO DO WITH OUR BODIES!!!

Now that I’ve started writing the Hogwarts Legacy fic for my ocs, I’ve been seriously thinking about switching Ellise from a Slytherin to a Hufflepuff, WHY you might ask.

First off, I really want to resonate with her, and I’m a Hufflepuff. Fyi Hufflepuffs aren’t nice all the time (NOT REFERRING TO ME cause im stepped on all the time it’s actually an issue) but i’ve met some super sassy arsed hufflepuffs and I think it fits her well.

Second, Hufflepuff x Slytherin duos are everything to me, so since she’s pairing with Seb I think it would be a great change of house.

AND FINAL, the Hufflepuffs get to go to Azkaban, and I was planning on adding that to the fic to make the choice at the end of Seb’s quest line 10x more meaningful

Ok so I volunteered a little earlier today and I have this new kid, second time I’ve seen him. And he’s like SO quiet yet SO sweet, I’ve managed to make him crack a few smiles (first time I made him smile, he made a heart out of playdoh and showed me, then he cut it with toy scissors. I pretend like it hurt me and he smiled lol). He likes playing with me and making sure I watch him play. He hardly ever talks, I’ve only heard him say a small handful of words, but another volunteer and I agreed that he’s like a grown man in a child’s body from how extremely well-behaved he is. He’s also got like a discreet mischievous side, like hell out a triangle into a shape where it’s clearly a hole and I’m pointing at the triangle spot and then he will go all around before finally putting it in, he totally knows what he’s doing, he’s just fooling around. I think he’s attached himself to me and he’s just so cute and is probably now my favorite…and this got my brain thinking to another one of my favorites, Junior, so hear me out: 

Little Junior AU but with a twist—3 year old toddler Junior and 8 year old Jake. Lucy and I have this one AU that we basically never shared publicly that we called the Uncle Andy AU where essentially, Andy only pretends to be friends with Lucas and Logan to protect Jake and Junior and be the proper male adult figure that they deserve. 

This new AU I came up with literally in the middle of playing with my kiddo is kinda like that but different. Basically, Andy ends up having to take in young Junior and Jake because there is no other living family member to take care of them and Andy doesn’t want to risk the cousins going into foster care and being separated (Jake’s mom recently died, Lucas drank too much and basically got himself killed, so Jake had to live with Logan for a short time, Bree died giving birth to Junior and Logan was neglecting and malnourishing Junior, and even began abusing Jake until Andy realized what was going on and took them both away). Andy’s still struggling with suddenly being a father and reaches out to his friend/crush/almost girlfriend, Nica, to see what she can do to help them. That’s where he sees how naturally she interacts with Junior and how he’s talked and smiled the most with her than he’s done since living with Andy. Nica agrees to babysit Junior and Jake while Andy works and he’d be lying if he said that he didn’t enjoy watching her almost like a mother with them. 

I’m literally word vomiting at this point but this is what I came up with like within 2 hours, hope you like this ramble and thank you for coming to my TED Talk—

I love it. That is such a cute AU idea! Nica would be so happy to babysit Jake and Junior while Andy is working. (And help out her friend/crush/almost boyfriend) Jake and Junior would definitely start interrogating Nica once they were more comfortable around her.

Andy definitely enjoys watching them interact and often invites Nica to stay for dinner once he's back. 🥺

Jared Padalecki on That ‘Walker’ Finale, Cordi & Geri, 13-Episode Seasons, and More

Ok, first off…congratulations. You got renewed! And you’re lucky, because if you gave us this finale and then left us hanging, you were gonna be in so much trouble.

Jared Padalecki: No s**t, right? I was like, “Can we just write the season to figure out what happened? We don’t have to film it, but if you don’t mind just writing it?” [Laughs]

Obviously it sucks that it’s only 13 episodes, but I also like that idea because that gives you a lot more time to prep story and streamline it.

You know, Jensen [Ackles] and I asked for 13-episode seasons of Supernatural, many, many, many times. As a matter of fact, I feel like if we had done 13-episode seasons of Supernatural, we’d probably still be doing Supernatural right now. Because it’s hard to do a long network season while also trying to be a husband and a father and friend.

I think Jim Beaver at one of our Comic-Con panels said about 22 or 23-episode seasons, “You know, even if it’s the best batter on the planet, if Ted Williams goes to bat 23 times, he’s gonna strike out a few times.” And so I think a shortened season would just be a really strong, action-packed, story-packed season where we don’t have to do an episode like “Bugs” in Season 1 of Supernatural. [Laughs]

How did the cast hear?

I kind of told them yesterday, I talked to Brad Schwartz [the new CW president] and they totally tricked me. I was doing hyperbaric chamber stuff…after my TBI last year, I try to get hyperbaric [therapy] when I can for brain health and I got out to all these missed messages, like “Hey, we need to do some press for the finale,” and “Hey, will you call into The CW because they have some reporters that want to do this.” And I was like, “Oh, s**t, sorry! On it!”

So I called in and Brad answers like, “Hey, bud… so I just wanted to touch base with you.” And he went on for a few minutes about how I need to do some interviews since the writers are on strike and can’t do them. And I was like “Sure thing,” I was ready. Then finally, he goes, “Well in that case, we are also excited to bring Walker back for Season 4.” I was so totally not expecting that conversation, right? I was in the head space of like, “Okayyyyy, now…what was the finale about again?” [Laughs]

And it’s so nice because we had a little tradition on Supernatural and now on Walker, at the end of the season, where they’d let me give the news. And I had asked Brad many months ago, we had chatted and I asked, “Hey, if it’s good news or bad news, can I be the one to break it to my cast and crew?” Obviously I hoped it would be good news, but even if it was bad news, you know, I’m the face they see every day at work and I’d love to be the one to just tell them thank you. So they’re all thrilled.

Now…did you make any calls to Justin Johnson Cortez? Because he turned up in this finale and that would be awesome to see him again. What he brings into this episode launches a whole new Jackal storyline.

Oh yeah, big time. I would love to see him come back. And yeah, you know, we have this cold case where it’s something that really drove Captain James to the brink back when we originally dealt with it and never felt we’d solved it…and maybe we haven’t. And how does that connect with Witt and our Park Ranger, who is a little more than fishy?

And I gotta tell you, the kids are growing up so nicely. Violet is so good.

She’s so good. Yeah. And we knew that from the get-go. I think some of the early themes in Season 1 where she’s kind of rebelling a little bit, we would shoot her and after we wrapped, I’d get on the phone with Anna [Fricke, the showrunner] and be like, “Holy shit, this young lady, she’s got something.” It’s a joy to work with her… and Kale Culley is growing up and becoming like, Jared Padalecki, Season 1 of Gilmore Girls. [Laughs] It’s uncanny and he’s such a strong performer, too.

Their scene in the finale where she comes in to support him after Cordi tells him to defer his military plans, I was struck by how well they carry their own scenes. The adults could literally take an episode off and they could carry it.

I like the way you’re thinking. I’m gonna talk to writers. Tell them you said that and that I could have an episode off. [Laughs]

There you go. Now when did we find out about Ashley Reyes’ singing?

Uh, how amazing is that? What, and Kearran? So we knew Ashley could sing, she’d gone to [the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art] out in the UK and she’s like a triple, quadruple threat, whatever you’d call it. She sings, she dances, she acts. She’s funny. She’s dramatic. She’s a home run for sure. She and Kearran…that was a lot of fun. I found myself breaking into Jared sometimes when we were shooting. I was like, “These girls are amazing, right?” [Laughs]

It also felt like, if this show had not been picked up, what a great episode to have as one of your last? It’s just a huge party, there’s all this love, you’re sending off Bonham and Abby to their Italian honeymoon. It was a really joyful episode…aside from the serial killer stuff.

[Laughs] So true! Yeah, fair enough!

Now, the way this season ends is very interesting, because Augie went to grandpa first with the military stuff and then Stella calls in Liam (Keegan Allen) to help with a dead body. How’s Cordi gonna feel about this? And also, how bad is gonna be for Liam holding this secret?

Well, as you know I did a show for 15 years about brothers who had a complicated relationship, you know, who would do anything for each other but also kind of upset each other and crossed boundaries for so long. And I love those stories. So it definitely makes sense that Walker, especially on the night that he decides to do something for himself — he asks Geri to move in for the summer and he’s not really the type to do something for himself like that, he’s not the “I’m gonna take a me day,” right? So he invites Geri in and now he’s about to find out not only did his son tell him earlier that he went to gramps to ask about enlisting, but that his daughter witnessed what might be a murder, but was certainly an attack — something that Walker would deal with in his line of work — and she went to his brother instead. Uh, so yeah, I don’t think he’s gonna be super thrilled about it. [Laughs]

Thank God he’s got Geri to talk him down from the ledge though.

Yeah, yeah. Put him in his place, talk him down.

I love that she danced down the aisle with the kids. Not only is Odette always fantastic, but that just showed how Geri is truly family now.

For sure, and there’s also something I’ve liked since our first scene together in Season 1. I knew Odette vaguely, you know, I think we had met two or three times at random Comic-Cons or award shows or something and she’s always pretty sweet and we always like got along fine. I didn’t really know her know her like I do now, but ever since that first scene in the Side Step where Walker and Liam show up, there seemed to be a depth between Cordi and Geri, like they knew each other’s skeletons, they knew each other’s demons, and they knew how to call each other on their bulls**t. Mostly her calling me on my bulls**t. [Laughs]

That was something I really liked. And so to see Walker have a relationship with somebody that can go like, “Hey, I’ve known you for decades and decades, something is going on. What’s going on? You’re not gonna run past this.” Because Walker can always pull the law-enforcement card and say, “Oh, I’m just worried about this or that…no, I just got something on my mind,” and she is able to go, “Nope…there’s something else going on.” And so I love that dynamic.

Have you talked about casting The Jackal?

We have. Who, who are you thinking?

Well, obviously Jim Beaver would be hilarious.

Oh my God, that would be hilarious.

Or you go get Scott Patterson…

Oh God, that would be great, right?! And I’m gonna see him soon. Again, I like your thinking! I like the cut of your jib. [Laughs] I like those few ideas, so when the writers are allowed to have conversations legally, I’ll have that conversation with them!

Kerry and Val are sitting in the garden at a dining table that was setup for them and are talking about the kitchen and Kerry's cooking skills.

“I don’t know what is in there, I only use the coffee machine.” Kerry shrugged. “It’s certainly better that way too.” I smiled and stuck my tongue a bit out. It made Kerry laugh and the wrinkles around his eyes were highlighted. I love it because I see them so rarely on him recently. I am happy that I can make him forget for a moment where we are and all the things that are to come, those things that are inevitable. That I would go, and he would stay behind. I had made my peace with dying, but he hadn’t made peace with losing me, and I know that. There is nothing I can do about it to make this easier for him, nothing I can say. Deflection is a coping mechanism that works well when you’re hurt but it cuts even deeper when there’s nothing left to deflect, when you have to face the truth you try to run away from. “You're OK, Val?” I hadn’t realized that Kerry was talking to me, “I’m fine, no worries!” I answered quickly. “Do you need some rest? Maybe a nap?” Kerry asked worriedly. “No, I’m fine, really. It’s nothing, just some thoughts that I didn’t cut off quickly e..” I didn’t finish my sentence, because Kim and Ted arrived with the food at that same moment.

Okay. Picture this: Lexi and I get on a fucking wild hare tangent about Lasko's flavor of repression being the ultimate combo of Catholic Guilt x Southern Bible Belt. I was like ooh what if we got a little fucky with it and came up with Gavin/Lasko. I blinked and suddenly there was a whole plot. How does this happen?

The highlights:

Gavin and Lasko are at the same school, paired on a group project for a general education credit - it starts rocky but they end up as friends and Gavin stops pushing Lasko's boundaries as they get closer and tries to respect that Lasko is so deep in the closet he's never seen sunlight

Direct quote from wip notes: "Despite all of these theology classes he [Lasko] has nothing but respect and care for Gavin and his lifestyle (read: being a genderqueer bisexual whore)"

Lasko's gay awakening is when Gavin tells Lasko that Jesus is trans (this is a whole other can of worms), and Lasko realizes he's not straight

After time he realizes he's not just sexually attracted to Gavin, but romantically as well. They start dating. it's wholesome - but Lasko is realizing that he's dedicated his college years to theology so he wouldn't have to go on arranged dates his mom kept trying to set him up with to get married (to a woman) and he's not sure what to do with his life now. But it's fine (it's not but he's in therapy and weighing his options) they're cute and adorable and have wholesome little dates.

UNTIL IT ISN'T. there's a planned scene for some real blasphemous stuff that would make some people lose their lunch. It's hot >:3

Ok listen here fuckers if you like the mighty boosh, think Julian barratt is cool, and need more deranged girlbosses in your life then BOY OH BOY do I have the shows for you.

Alright we’ll start with the more lighthearted one first. It’s called Bloods, it’s on Hulu or sky tv, and it’s about paramedics. It’s fuckin hilarious. The main character is played by the same guy who played oluwande (Samson kayo) from our flag means death and the other main character is an older women, which we almost never get on tv so that’s already two wins (and their dynamic is hilarious). Where Julian comes in is that he plays the love interest for the batshit depot manager (her names jo, and I love her, she literally bites people). They have a very stupid, awkward and violent friendship it’s fuckin hilarious, 10/10. I’d say Julian’s character (his names Lawrence, btw) is abit of a himbo but he’s pretty emotionally intelligent, he’s just subtle about it. Also another thing about Jo is that she’s played by Lucy Punch who also played Lilith (the witch) from what we do in the shadows. (Oh and there’s also another deranged girlboss in this show her names Kareshma she’s awesome)

Alright the next show is a fucking sledgehammer to the emotions. I stg by the end of watching this I had been emotionally eviscerated and simultaneously had my faith in humanity restored. It’s about this depressed middle aged children’s book author and his family, Julian plays the main character. It does have a depiction of attempted suicide (it’s not that graphic tho and imo the story handled it very well) so know yourself and what you’re able to handle. It’s such a beautifully done show, I’m not really sure what to say about it other than watch it without giving to much about it away. I reccomend it if you like crying, positive father-daughter relationships, cannon lesbians, and more crying.

Stadiums they filmed in: Nelson road(selhurst park obv), supposedly Johan Cruijff ArenA, Stamford Bridge, London Stadium, Etihad, Emirates.

In a recent podcast moe jeudy lamour was talking about Wembley and it sort of sounded like they didn’t film there again in s3. That means: we’re probably not going to get a serious FA cup run, unless he was, of course, lying(very purposefully omitting information), which is very much a possibility. If we don’t get an FA cup it leaves us with two possibilities for “winning the whole fucking thing” - actually winning the premier league, an idea which I hate, or missing out on the title but winning a family(I.e. tedbecca endgame).

Now let’s talk Amsterdam: assuming the show keeps playing sorta by the rules, as they’ve pretty much done so far, the only really relevant time for them to go there is pre-season, but considering it��s episode 6, it makes less of a sense. That is, unless this episode is going to actually be a flashback or a chapter reading out of Trent’s presumed book, which I really don’t know if it’s spoiler or fanon, but Apple kinda teased with that Trent promo.

Kits: we have 3 kits and a new training kit(thank god, the gray is ugly) - 1) blue and red 2) orange and 3) believe blue and yellow . On most of what we saw there was a premier league symbol on the arm. I haven’t seen a cup insignia, but that doesn’t mean much.

Captain: Isaac is still captain. The Sam scene seems to be an exception, probably brought about by either an Isaac red card(maybe after the west ham game, which seem to escalate into violence) or a special occasion for Sam. Considering I didn’t see Isaac in the huddle, it’s probably the first option. In ALL other instances though, including on the wall of s3 set, Isaac is captain.

New guy, maybe dressing room trouble? So I’ve seen this #10 shirt with the name Zava around since the day the trailer dropped but haven’t spotted a new face and his name wasn’t on any of the lockers, but now we actually have the footage of it.

Now, a number 10, the fact that all of the fans seem to be sporting his shirt and that he got 4 fucking lockers and a La-Z boy, seem to indicate he’s a big deal. Also notice the Ajax and Juventus shirts with his name on them, further indicating his status. It’ll be interesting to see how that sort of thing changes the dynamic within the Richmond dressing room.

I have to say that it’s a pretty bold choice to bring a new #10 for the last season, and that’s also kind of why I think he may be an antagonist throughout the season. At the end of the day, we all want one of our faves, who’s been with us since day one to get the winning goal(in show. Irl I don’t give a fuck who scores, as long as they’re from my team), not a newcomer.

I also heard there’s been some talk about whether or not they’re going to deal with the World Cup, as in universe it’s 21/22 season, and well, there’s honestly no need for them to say anything about it unless we have a time jump, but assuming they did mention it, I would guess they’d ignore the fact that it was played in Qatar just like they ignored COVID, and talk summer World Cup as usual instead of a winter one like we had this year.

Ok. That’s it. Maybe. We’ll see.

ted going full self-deprecating in the face of nate’s insults is so perfect too. like yes, he still compliments nate, never says a bad word about him, refuses to stoop to his level. but it endears him to the public-- and, crucially, it also IS kind of a way to backhandedly get at nate. it’s a way for ted to come off looking more clever and quick-witted and smart, at the end of the day. it’s a way for him to win this battle without ever putting up a fight.

interesting too how it calls back to the advice he gives rebecca in s1 at the gala-- “just a trick of the trade, make fun of yourself, right off the bat. folks will love that.” here he’s employing his own advice. making fun of himself to endear himself to the public.

“i’ve had more psychotic episodes than twin peaks” SO interesting to me that he’s able to so freely talk about the panic attacks and make fun of himself for it here… very very interesting. not sure how i feel about that

Business Harry is so interesting to me: when you look back at teenage Harry, yes he had adoring teenage fans, but he also had the mums, and not necessarily in a creepy way. He was simply a lovely kid, cheeky, flirty, a bit daft sometimes. So when you look at his non-music business, it seems clear to me that the slice of the market he really reaches is those same women, now in their forties. The 1D fans got left behind a few years ago. I don’t think, music-wise, this is calculated: I don’t think there’s a world where Harry becomes for example a male Taylor Swift and harnesses the twenty-somethings’ doleful, cynical view of life. He was always an older soul anyway. I think those musical references, that forty/fifty year olds feel fondness for, are his, too, and always were.

Where it really seems that smart business is happening is with Pleasing. He gets trashed on hate blogs for Pleasing doing things like advertising, manufacturing products and selling them. Normal stuff. I regularly see it talked about as a flop business. The ex-GOOP guy is not coming on board with a flop business: that’s expansion they’re seeing, and not recognising. It’s expensive, and it absolutely is marketed to Harries. Because an important segment of the market that he has the eyes of is older women with money. It’s so obvious to me that his business people understand that! I wobbled a bit with my theory when the last drop (the cartoon characters) was released and then a friend in her fifties spent $320 immediately. They know better than I do, I realise! And it’s not only older women. He’s doing shows where he sees the same faces in the pit twenty times in a row. They’re buying Pleasing too. It’s not necessarily ’nice’ to think of people being sold to, some people see it as exploitation (which it isn’t) but in business there’s always the question ‘where are we leaving money on the table?’ And tbh I admire Pleasing for answering that question.

If you contrast that with Louis’ business venture, he’s just not operating anywhere near that level. He did have the same affection from older women initially but his real personality won out and since those early days he’s become Harry’s portrait in the attic, in a way. He’s chosen to be rude, sludgy, wreathed in smoke. Apart from a few deviants - who are still most interested in the cleaner, cheekier version of him from 12 years ago! - his audience is much younger and they don’t have cash to spend. ALL he had to do was curate his image a bit (as I’m sure Harry the pop star has also done but not such a big job for him) and lose the fake accent, hide the cigs. Not that he should be doing the same as Harry - nobody expects a cosmetics line from Louis - but a clothing and accessories company from even an Oasis cosplayer could have done pretty well! The nostalgia market is strong, Britpop had millions of female fans! As it is he’ll do ok for a bit but he’s lost his compelling edge years ago, his image is a nothingy sort of a mess, he seems to hate his job, which he’s bad at anyway: he’s just not smart. I know there’s an argument for not comparing the two but his so-called fans cannot stop doing it, so screw that. Even if we ignore the musical differences (lol) and just look at outside ventures, Harry is so far ahead of Louis it’s not even up for debate. I also feel like sr pelo absolutely nailed the “mom” feel in her design, and also in the way she acts and stuff. The idea that Lila knew Bob previously (or had some big realization at that one moment) used to seem far fetched to me, thinking she just tore up the photo as a final sPoOkY ending to the episode, but now I’m learning that it’s entirely possible, probably more likely than what I thought originally.

Ok so I love your work (started watching 911 so I could read more of your fics lol), and I completely agree and empathize with every one of your posts about how the show has handles Jamie’s arc. This may be a bit messy but! Here we go,,

My dad is also shitty, like Jamie’s, and my mom has done so so much to protect me from that, again, like Jamie’s. I don’t talk to my dad anymore and probably never will and I certainly haven’t forgiven him and probably never will. The past couple episode really did a wee number on me (read: had a lil break down, we’re totally good tho ahahaha 😬👍) and led my mom and i to have some difficult conversations about forgiveness and the role it does or doesn’t play in our healing and growth and what not. And to put it short, the space you cultivate here on tumblr was really really helpful for me, both in processing and identifying why the episodes hurt and also in being able to verbalize and communicate it with my loved ones. Being so vulnerable is hard and sucky and I know you’ve gotten shitty asks, and I’m really sorry for all that. So,, I just wanted to thank you for being so open and genuine on this lil website, and let u know it means a lot

(on a lighter note i am so excited for like ever ted fic u are working on—the kid fic, the same story, this new fix-it—just ahhhhhhhh can’t wait!)

we're coming up very shortly on what's going to be the seventh anniversary of when i went no-contact with my father, which is something i needed to do for my own safety and peace of mind and heart, after an attempt at reconciliation that went badly for me. without personal and societal pressure from people i knew, broader culture, and a lot of media narratives, i never would've let him back into my life in the first place, because it sure wasn't what i wanted. and even now, the rest of my family - who have all decided to welcome him back into the fold despite some reprehensible shit that ruined my life - is on me regularly, trying to push me into reversing my decision and speaking to him again. i've been lectured about forgiveness a lot, and stuff like the stuff we just saw just. never helps. there is only ever one story about people like us, and it's always our abusers' happy ending. never a moment considering maybe ours might be different.

anyways. seriously. thank you for this. it means a lot to hear, more than i can say. i'm really proud of you for everything you've done to protect your peace and keep yourself safe and have a good, safe, happy life away from him. that shit is so, so hard, even without the world around us constantly trying to make it harder. so in case you don't hear it enough, because none of us ever do, i'm really, really proud of you.

now in my hc Max’s birthday is somewhere in late summer so he’d be 11 right in time for middle school. now with all my hcs for camper ages, this makes Max & Nikki 6th graders, and Neil, Harrison, Preston, and Nerris 7th graders. Dolph is in 3rd grade, space kid in 4th, and Ered & Nurf in their first year of high school.

now, once again for the sake of convenience and “because I said so”, maybe the schools kinda in a smaller town and the school doesn’t have a lot of kids, so they kinda put all the grades together??

does that even happen in real life? no clue, but it’s fucking happening in my au

i think he is locked in his room, so that he “doesn’t hurt anyone”

the door is unlocked when his parents leave for work in the morning so he can go to school and then come back, and the door is locked once one of his parents gets home

they do (semi-regularly) just,, slide some food in the room

they don’t really check on him so a lot of the time he’s there he sneaks out the window to go do basically anything other than be in his room (this, again w the non-existant fic, will normally lead to some shenanigans w the performance trio out somewhere)

i don’t really have opinions on any other characters. and I think we all know damn well that if I write a fic it will end up being Harrison-centric no matter what I try to do

Sometimes we (Read: Me) can be delusional. We tend to enter into relationships, friendships, dynamics, etc. without the other person(s) knowledge. It’s cute. It’s funny. Who doesn’t love the phrase, “we go together real bad”?

It’s really not an issue to have these dreams (Read: Delusions). We just have to remember that sometimes, it’s unrequited. Sometimes the delusion is just that, a delusion. We cannot force our delusions on other people.

I understand it hurts when the people we go with don’t go with us. Recognize it’s a pain we created. Hurt we inflicted upon ourselves.

All in all. Live in your delusions. I do it every day. I’m gon continue to do it once I hit post. The rest of us do not live in your world and shan’t be subject to your delusions. Both are ok.
