the thing is i think jake's girlfriend is going to be the one who gets hurt the most while jake remains fairly unscathed not only so that robby is burdened with the weight of the fact that that was his ticket, she wasn't even supposed to be there, but also so that he has to carry around the knowledge that mckay told him this would happen. he prioritized this kids future over the lives and safety of the women he threatened to hurt and in doing so, in hesitating to take action, he will always know that there's a possibility this could have been prevented. and it's understandable that you wouldn't want to jeopardize his future over a clear mental health issue but ultimately he didn't think about the very real consequences of complete inaction. and the price that that comes with includes the lives of the girls you forgot to protect.

I’ve been reading Elisabeth Sladen’s autobiography and I would highly recommend it because she truly lived the most incredible life. I’m only half-way through but I’m honestly enthralled, of course the behind the scenes look at the making of Classic Who is interesting, but I was more than content to read about her work in theatre before she became Sarah Jane, how she met her husband Brian, her dedication to acting starting from a young age, even the time she threw up on a future Tory MP as a child in her school production of Alice Through The Looking Glass. If you have a few hours to spare, please do read her autobiography because it might be one of the best books I’ve ever read.
