eating: did a lot of takeout right after moving because, Yeah, but i finally started settling back in to home cooked meals. made my favorite orzo salad for a temple potluck, an ungodly amount of gyudon, and a garlic butter shrimp pasta thing.

misc: my new apartment is good!! the insulation isn't great, i know i'll have to shrinkwrap some windows this winter for Sure, but overall i'm settling in. i have a lot of organization and purging to do, especially of my House Clothes, craft supplies, and makeup/beauty shit, and i need to get one or two pieces of furniture still (like a couch......i have a funny little bachelor chair in front of the couch right now which is very funny). i got myself some fun plants from the farmers market as a housewarming gift to myself. i am finally the owner of a monstera, yippee, she Really needs a repot though. i also got a hoya lisa because i liked the name and it was cute and cat friendly and i got a vaguely labia-adjacent succulent. i have so many little household Needs and Tasks (mat for in front of the sink! blackout curtains because i have to sleep with an eye mask right now because the blinds dont do shit! etc!) and also every grocery bill i do is like $100 because of getting kitchen essentials that will not run out any time soon but that i do need (white vinegar. aluminum foil. flour.) so everything is so expensive. this is a big wall of text. at least the spare mattress is out of my weird haunted hallway now <3 i'm very excited to start hanging up my art.

Ohhh dead. Dead dead dead! It took Orin years of attempted assassinations, failed each time (animal like senses able to sniff out Orin’s blend of gore wherever she goes so changing doesn’t work! And the bonds between Bo and the shadow Druid orphans was so tight they came with Bo to bg to run the temple.

but eventually after Gourtash got involved, the other orphan druids didn’t want to work with the pollutant mech man from hell.

Nor were they any longer believing in the promise Bo had offered them of a world empty of creatures for nature to reclaim. So all at once they left. Orin and her group of changlings swapped them all out at once.

Bo was so distracted by the deal Gourtash was offering and capturing the elderbrain they didn’t notice the change in scent until it was too late. (Put up a good fight but went down all the same)

Besides getting rid of the tadpoles and the 🧠 what is your ocs driving force/motivation?

At first it’s revenge on whoever tore apart Bo’s brain, and After finding out their parentage it’s freedom! Bo didn’t actually want to forsake bhaal, just wanted not to be chosen. An unholy assassin was the level of responsibility Bo wanted.

After death, rebirth and the friends made along the way Bo just couldn’t ever go back to who Bo was before (not that they could remember)

That and owlbear form beat out slayer form in the one on one battle of the beasts. As far as Bo was concerned they were stronger then what Bhaal could offer them as chosen.

Slayer had no benefits to anyone accept bhaal.

when you wake, it is blue-dark and hazy, somewhere between morning and night. the moon still hangs in a half-state outside the window. you blink slowly, burrow down in blankets, in the warmth of bodies surrounding you.

nobara is at your back, head tucked into the center of your back, between your shoulder blades. you can feel her breathe. yuuji is beneath you, shoulder your pillow, broad chest rising and falling. his arms wind around your waist, holding you to him, even in his sleep. nobara's arm is draped loosely around you, too, enough that her hand is splayed over yuuji's stomach.

you ache a little, in your neck, from being all twisted up in them. but they're warm enough, safe enough, that it doesn't matter. your eyes are still heavy but–

one is missing. he was on nobara's side. the boys like to sleep on the outside, bookend you and nobara in the center.

carefully, you lift yourself up to peak around the room.

megumi is nowhere in sight. you listen closely in the dark, hear distant, soft noise in the living room.

you untangle yourself as gently as possible. thankfully, nobara and yuuji are heavy sleepers and don't stir when you slip out of bed. in the dark, you fumble for clothes, happen about a shirt strewn on the floor. you bring it to your nose and inhale–it must be yuuji's. it smells a little like nobara's perfume, though, the curshed berries and rose, musk and vanilla. the boy's like that one. when she gets ready in the morning with you, the whole bedroom will smell of it. she always spritzes some onto the sides of your throat, tilts your head with her hand, let's you have some of her best.

you slip into the shirt, let it fall around your thighs and pad out into the hallway to see soft, gold light towards the joint kitchen and living room. it feels a little dreamlike, heaven sweet, when you find megumi tucked into the couch, haloed in the small light he's turned on. messy hair. bare skinned. there's a mug of tea on the coffee table beside him.

he picks his head up when you enter, catches your eye. you wade into his arms naturally, both of you folding in on each other. he's cooler, while you're still sleep warm, can feel the way he tries to steal some of your heat, hands disappearing beneath yuuji's shirt to find skin as you curl up in his lap.

"can't sleep?" you murmur into his chest.

he hums in agreement, "did i wake you?"

maybe, you think, i just know. i just know when i don't have one of you, like some sixth sense you can't name, some part of you that now feels intrinsic. like missing a heart beat, feeling it skip, missing a limb, of course you'd know.

you shake your head, though, burrow deeper into his arms.

"want tea?" he asks softly, can feel the brush of his lips against your temple.

you nod into his neck, nudge your nose and lips against his jaw. you can feel him sigh a little, feel the breath of him escape in a quiet rush, appreciative. soft.

he leans forward a little, disturbing you, to grab his warm mug.

you unfurl yourself enough to let him bring it to your lips.

the mug is chipped, well-loved, and the tea is bitter, the root of something, crush of earth on your tongue. no honey. you don't mind it, it warms you inside out, but you usually prefer something softer; camomile or lavender. a squeeze of honey.

still, you take another sip. he then takes a sip for himself before settling it back onto the coffee table.

you both ease down against each other again. his broad hand moves up your spine, back down, soothing movements, almost restless.

after a moment, you ask quietly, "nightmare?"

a slow breath.

then, "yeah."

"you okay?" you press petaled kisses to his jaw, his cheek, little i'm sorrys, little comforts.

he hums again. "i don't know if i'll be able to sleep for–"

"why are you guys out here?" yuuji's voice is groggy, slurred almost, deeper and rougher than usual. he looks disheveled, barely awake. it's endearing, the squint of his eyes, the sleepy way he gazes at you two.

"megumi couldn't sleep." you answer and yuuji stumbles over towards the two of you on the couch now.

"let me in," he mutters, before just about throwing all of his weight onto the two of you.

"yuuji–" you laugh softly as he forces you and megumi down, squirms on top of you two all heavy, lax muscles and warm from sleep. megumi grunts as he takes the brunt of both your weights. your leg is twisted a little weird and you shift, make a noise of discontent and yuuji lifts up enough to let you get comfortable.

but then he's heavy again, heavy body, heavy eyes.

"yuu, why'd you even get out of bed if–" you ask, hands tangling in his short hair.

"wanted to make sure you guys were okay," he mumbles, cheek squished up against your chest. your back is pressed to megumi's chest, whose propped against the arm of the couch.

"we're fine, sweet boy." you murmur, "we should go back to bed."

"'m not moving," yuuji declares, hands fitting around your sides, along megumi's thighs. when he's sleepy, he blindly reaches out and holds and feels.

you're about to admonish him, when megumi says, "i'm not sure i'll sleep."

"we can watch something," yuuji mumbles, "'til you fall asleep again. sleep on the couch."

"nobara won't like waking up alone." you counter.

"not waking her, she's evil when–" yuuji starts.

"just carry her out here, she probably won't even wake up." megumi suggests and his own hands now are creeping around your waist, one skimming over yuuji's arm.

"you do it–" yuuji mumbles.

"i have two people on top of me–"

"excuses, fushiguro, excuses..."

"what're you all doing out here?"

speak of the devil.

"nobara," you say warmly, "we were just going to get you."

she's in megumi's shirt. one sock is hers, the other is yours. she looks grouchy, always does when she's been woken, brows furrowed, lips puckered a little.

she pads over as you say, "megumi couldn't sleep. turn on the tv, we're going to watch something out here."

"it's three in the morning," she grumbles, but still, she reaches for remote. and then, noticing the tea, she picks that up, too, and lifts it to her lips, "whose is this?"

but before you can answer, she takes a sip, and then immediately twists her face up in disgust. "blegh," she makes a noise of distaste, answering her own question. only megumi likes his tea so bitter.

you can feel his soft smile against your temple.

she turns the tv on, soft blue light fills the room. she leans over all of you to turn off the lamp, darkness settling around you gently, save for the dreamy tv.

and then, "let me in." she mutters, nudging at yuuji.

he grumbles and she pushes at him harder. "up, idiot, i want in."

yuuji sits up a little to let her in, but only just so, and suddenly she's against you again, and yuuji's collapses onto her stomach, her legs. she growls softly at him, prickly girl that she is, but sinks her hands into his hair once he's settled against her middle.

you will certainly wake up sore, limbs asleep, perhaps too warm. but–

but it's good. and safe. comforting. a sweet little ache bubbles in your chest.

megumi fishes the remote from her hands and begins to scroll and search.

you press a little kiss to her cheek, messily to her jaw, and then she turns to kiss you soundly. you melt into it a moment and if it weren't so late–

you part from her, let her settle down against you, sink into you, into megumi, and yuuji.

by the time megumi has picked something, yuuji and nobara are already asleep again, dead weight against both of you. and megumi's breathing is even and gentle beneath you, his hands warm, his lips at your cheek, at your neck.

sleep coaxes you, lures you soft and slow, until it catches you with gentle hands.

in the flickering lights, the murmuring movie, tangled up in one another, in all your lives, you find peace again.

and when megumi finally falls asleep again, he doesn't dream, he just holds you, and nobara, and yuuji with gentle, scarred hands.

OHHH I LOVE HER ALREADY SHE'S SO SNARKY AND HER LORE IS SO COMPELLING....... very very excited to see her in game i hope she comes out soon (<- had to wait like what. two/three years????)

gives me brain worms my God. i think i've thought about her too much bc theres so many lil symbols that i associate w her that just aren't intentional in the slightest. she has so so so much lovea nd heart in her and i wishhhh people understood her better. also extremely disappointed in her in-game writing for multiple reasons but like. the ableism and misogyny being a big one. :( colleination could fix her...... i wish she were more mean in the game.

Favorite moment:

her fight w kaeya and the subsequent "confrontation" w amber....... makes me so so sick in the head that was The original collei trio to me. i looove how it plays w all three of their characters even if it isn't shown very well. it's also the basis for a lot of my interpretation of collei since it shows the extent of her beliefs/lack of belief. dear god..... it's so so good.

Idea for a story:

i've talked abt wt spin off au and windblume rewrite a bunch on this blog so let's go with amber and collei liyue trip!! :DD someone comes and tells amber they heard something about her grandfather in qingce while collei's in town and obv collei's like i can't hold you back on this! so they jsut decide to go together bc collei's packed a bag anyways and they're both adept w survival skills surely their different skills will come in handy for liyue. going to qingce leads them to going to yilong port (i'd do qiaoying but i feel like its too close) and amber's like. kinda stumbling w her broken canto-mando and feeling weirdly emotional and she and collei both bond w "coming back" to a generational homeland while feeling like a stranger and its an important moment to both of them bonding as friends and a pivitol point of collei changing her idea of amber as a savior as more of amber as a best friend yk :''). also ga-ming....... i don't know if he'll stay for long bc honestly i do want it to focus on amber and collei but i think it'd be fun for him to at least make an appearance or sm yk!! the narrative there could be so compelling.

MAKES ME VIOLENT. i love him so so bad i miss him all the time. his story is soooo entangled with grief and acceptance and every little step he takes reflects that. he's such a fun character bc it's kinda a study on what comes after the tragic hero's story yk? except the tragedy is in part because he lives! he feels so so much and has such a big hear tbut denies it any priority bc it's easier not to. :((

him and zhongli! :] they're both characters whos stories are about grief but both have different timelines to it and i think that's so so interesting especially when you remember how zhongli showed no emotion during the archon war and how his depart from his duty was his final stage of grief (acceptance) whereas xiao plunged himself into duty and emotional repression as a means to cope with all the grief and guilt and pain that he feels.

Favorite headcanon:

i think the wangshu inn staff gives him li xi sometimes and he's just like "i am literally older than you please stop i have no need for this" but he keeps it anyways. they have a small room saved for him at all times just in case he ever wants it (he never takes it but he appreciates it). <- its small bc he'd die if it was an open space.

So, the basic gist of this AU is that Kai owns a Cat Cafe, where Naoki and Miwa are employed at. It's a successful business and all but Kai still seemed to be lacking in something...perhaps a partner? Well luckily for him he's got an exceptionally endearing baker, to sweep him off his feet! Huh? ok so i spent the last. 4? days binge-watching su after watching a yt vid that was titled 'in defense of steven universe' and a bit of the followup vid partly bc i was healing from my neck pain but also because i was super into the show when i was like 14 and like. the vids were well. Defending su from the 3 vids with millions of views that changed the whole overall opinion on the show and i was like damn! i vaguely remember watching something and changing my mind about su.. and probably getting bullied for liking su on google plus too lol.

its.. old enough to be nostalgic and worth of a revisit! after all i remember it being so nice and chill..! and cozy.. oh how i missed the piano song after each episode... that SOMEHOW kept being replaced by erm.. Not Better ones. and i remember that very much!
