This one was slightly tricky to write and I spent several days just writing dialogue whenever I was able to lol. Oh well, it's still something I'm proud of.

By the way, I think I'm going to call this "Have Some Empathy, Dear" and I have already started posting it on AO3. Some of you have already found it lol! There's additional lore bits that I'll probably post over there if you're curious.

CW: Not sure if this is needed, but there is some mentions of toxic family dynamics in this chapter. Classic family favorites one child over the other and makes negative comments about them as well.

First Day & Next Day.

Bad Sansuary: Horror - Romance

Word Count: 2,087

You'd seen Axe a few times ever since the day you met him in the forest. Somehow, he'd figured out where you lived but had completely dodged the question when you asked how. You kind of just let it go after that as it was nice hanging out with someone after a long day of work.

Yeah, a smart person would've avoided the obvious red flags... Not that you weren't smart, maybe just selectively blind.

He seemed to be a genuinely nice guy, despite the mildly unsettling habits he had, like the fact that he tended to stare at you for long periods of time. It was like he had scary dog energy but without all of the bite, at least towards you anyways.

Today was a you day. No errands that needed to be run, no one requiring you to be at work, and no chores to do around the house. It was just you and the latest episode of your favorite historical romance show. The last episode had ended on a cliffhanger and you were dying to see if Madam Fratchurine accepted Duke Von Gossimer's proposal or not.

You were only halfway through the episode, without a clear answer to the 'Will they, won't they?' question, when a sharp knocking sounded on your front door. Pausing the episode with a frown, you emerged from your blanket cocoon to see who was outside.

Taking a peek through the peephole, your mild annoyance quickly evaporated when you recognized the person on the other side. Barely sparing a thought on how presentable you were, you unlocked and swung open the door to greet them.

"Axe! Um, hi! I, uh, didn't expect to see you today..."

He quirked a bonebrow when you nearly stumbled over your words and his smile morphed into one of mild amusement. You could feel how warm your cheeks had grown all of the sudden and glanced down at your socks.

Clearing your throat, you tried to start over. "Sorry, why don't you come in? Although I should warn you that I've been relaxing all day so the apartment might be a bit messy." You moved to the side so he could step over the threshold rather than remain standing awkwardly outside your door.

Axe chuckled and his eyelight briefly flicked past you into the hallway. " 's no problem, i didn't let you know beforehand. sorry about that..." he responded. He nearly had to duck his skull in order to come inside but thankfully the doorframe was still a few inches taller than he was.

You gathered up the fuzzy blanket you'd been snuggling in and quickly folded it up to make the room slightly less messy. While you were at it, you straightened the sofa cushions and deposited your blanket on the coffee table for now.

"heh, i didn't think you'd be the type to watch sappy stuff like this," Axe commented.

"Huh?" You glanced over and realized he'd noticed the still paused episode. "Ah, well... It's a bit of a...guilty pleasure of mine."

He glanced at you out of the corner of his left eye socket with a look that seemed to suggest amusement. You flushed and quickly looked away from him.

"I suppose you could say I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic..." you muttered. "The idea of finding your one and only? It was just a thing I fixated on when I was younger I guess."

"nothin' wrong with that," Axe said quietly. "a lot of folks look forward to meetin' someone special like that. soulmates or somethin'... i don't really care, but i suppose it would be nice. i'm sure it would all work out though."

You nodded slowly, "I guess so... Honestly, I kind of envy how carefree you are about it."

"well, i'm not in a hurry to settle down right now," he responded with a shrug.

He was right in a way. There was no hurry to find someone and you could always focus on your career in the meantime. Although growing up, there was always the pressure to find someone quickly so you could be taken care of and give your parents a couple of grandchildren. It was "The least you could do," your mother had said.

Of course, you'd then struggled with a string of bad relationships ever since getting out of high school. Not only had you gotten attached really fast whenever a guy ever showed you any modicum of attention, but you also weren't great at standing up for yourself. Your relationships never lasted longer than a few months and while you'd since learned what mistakes not to make, you were starting to wonder if you should swear off dating altogether.

"so, uh, other than shows like this," Axe motioned to the tv, bringing you out of your thoughts again. "what else do ya like to do?"

"Well, I read occasionally and have a small collection of fantasy type books. I used to be part of my school's chess club but I haven't actually had anyone to play against in a while."

You glanced around the living room before your gaze focused on two of your plants on the window sill. "Oh, I try to keep a few plants alive but I don't think I have much of a green thumb. I also like to press flowers or colourful leaves in the fall. They make some pretty collages but I have to make time to actually put them all together."

He nodded approvingly and studied the plants for a moment. "What kind are they?" he asked.

You pursed your lips in thought while you tried to remember. "The one on the left is a yellow Cala Lilly and I think the other is called a Christmas Cactus although it hasn't bloomed since last year. I'm not sure why as it has sun and I haven't forgotten to water it." You shrugged and added, "It's otherwise thriving so I guess I'm doing something right."

"can't say i'm familiar with either of those types so i can't give ya any advice," Axe hummed softly. "i'm more familiar with the kinds of plants ya can cook with, like vegetables or herbs."

"Do you like to cook then?" you asked.

"i do," he answered with a slight nod. "it's somethin' i just really enjoy doin' i guess..." His singular eyelight was still focused on the plants by your window as he trailed off.

When he didn't elaborate further, you couldn't help but feel a bit awkward. His tone of voice seemed to hint at a deeper meaning to what he'd said and you didn't know if you should ask or not.

So, rather than potentially making things more awkward, you decided not to ask and instead to talk about something else. "You know, I like cooking as well. Although, I really only cook for myself so I have limited experience."

Well that certainly seemed to make him perk up. Axe turned to actually look at you and his eyelight flicked over you in a way that you thought was him sizing you up.

"limited experience or not, it's still an important skill to know. did ya teach yourself or...?"

You shook your head, "No, at least not completely... I learned the basics from my mother but everything else I had to learn through good ol' trial and error." You rubbed the back of your neck and quietly added, "Granted, it was mostly by error..."

Axe let out a short chuckle at that. There was clear amusement written across his skull once again, yet it didn't feel like he was making fun of you.

"that's good, sometimes the best way to learn is to actually try your hand at somethin'. or at least it's the best way i know to figure things out." He lightly scratched the right side of his skull, although you noticed how his phalanges nearly hooked into the empty socket as he did so.

"Maybe we could cook something together sometime then...?" you asked.

To your surprise, he nodded vigorously and his permanent grin quirked wider at the idea. "sure, that could be fun. 's not every day i have the chance to cook with others."

"Awesome!" you exclaimed and gave a bit of a victory fist pump. Axe chuckled again although it was more natural sounding this time, like he hadn't expected you to react with this much enthusiasm.

This conversation made you remember something all of the sudden that you had to share. "You know what's funny? One of the things my mother used to always tell me was, and I quote, 'You gotta find a man who can at least cook because you certainly can't!'" With an awkward chuckle, you added, "In hindsight though, I realize she wasn't actually joking..."

That had been a bad thing to say apparently. His expression flickered between discomfort and concern before settling on a slight frown. You could feel a familiar pit form in your stomach as you realized that you'd basically stuck your foot in your mouth.

Axe let out a heavy sigh through his nasal bone and couldn't seem to meet your gaze all of the sudden. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other before finally muttering a response.

"your mother probably didn't have a guy who could pass for a slasher villian in mind..."

You felt bad for saying something so forward in the first place as it had clearly made him uncomfortable. So you resorted to damage control in an effort to ease tensions once again.

"Well, uh... I guess you're right... She also told me that drinking coffee stunts your growth, which I know isn't true now, but it still frustrated me when I was younger."

Well that got him to chuckle at least. He patted your shoulder in a way that was probably supposed to be reassuring, although it did feel slightly patronising seeing as how tall he was.

"are ya sure that isn't true?" he asked in a tone that sounded like it was supposed to be sassy, although his deep voice did just the opposite.

You crossed your arms and huffed in annoyance. "It isn't! I don't even drink that much coffee compared to other people..."

"what other things did she tell you? any other gems?"

You frowned and shook your head. "Nothing very helpful... She used to be obsessed with my weight growing up and never kept any snacks in the house. If I ever mentioned I was hungry, she'd just tell me to go eat a handful of almonds or something."

You sighed and dropped onto the couch. Steepling your chin with your hands, you tried to take deep breaths to avoid getting all worked up over what had happened in the past. You felt bad that you'd nearly just dumped a bunch of your own trauma on Axe when he was basically a complete stranger.

The cushions shifted as he sat down next to you. You glanced over at him and rather than annoyance like you'd expected, he looked slightly concerned. You very rarely talked to anyone about your childhood as they never understood and brushed off your mother's rules as well-meaning. He didn't seem to be like any of the others though and you started to wonder if he actually understood you.

"I'm...not on good terms with my family...in general," you muttered.

He seemed surprised if the way his left eye socket widened was any indication. "how come?" he asked quietly. "family's pretty important, at least to me anyways..."

You shook your head slowly. "I really don't want to get into all of it right now... But, the short of it is my mother was basically what some people call an almond mom and my older sister was seen as the golden child. I was basically dirt in comparison to her and my entire family favorited her."

"i don't really understand..." Your heart sank but Axe continued speaking before you could try to explain. "but i can tell this is a sore spot for ya, so i won't push ya to explain anythin' else, okay?"

You gave him a stiff smile out of sheer relief. "I appreciate it..." you responded with a sigh.

In an attempt to talk about something lighter, you tried to change to subject. "Do you have any family?" you asked.

His skull visibly brightened, somehow, at your question and he grinned warmly. "yep, i got a younger brother and he's the coolest dude i know..."

Oh gods, I love and adore the new update! My new grey horse Dust (bc it will leave them in the dust, is grey and unassuming at first glance, but also pure diamond) is already a favorite, even if my MC is slightly afraid of horses and not very good at riding. Aretas offering PRIVATE RIDING LESSONS and MC making not even one dirty joke to Merikh about it shows how serious the tension is, though. The cliffhanger is just mean, bc we don't get to sass big bad brother back. Not even a "you smell better, don't worry about me leaving you for him, wow he looks like a paler imitation of you".... I just imagined letting Desma loose on miserable big bro Labadon, but somehow that feels like bullying. ... Is that on purpose? He feels so arrogant and desperate to put down the bastard child, that it feels a little pitiful and insecure instead of evil, though I of course dislike and disdain him a normal and healthy amount, for his crime of a personality. But back to the important bits, Aretas is being smooth right back and I wasn't sure he'd have it in him. But so worth it, bc I already got a shovel talk from his mom! (a pretty mild one for now, thanks Teacher Alim) Aretas looking pained at Daddy Labadon's grand speech about his father's supposed greatness and aspirations and unsubtle attempt at baiting his king was greatly appreciated and the option that simply says "Blame Merikh" when asked why we couldn't ride? It was so .. tempting, I don't know how anyone can choose another. It's just such an impulse control defying little red button that all imp MCs just HAVE to press. And the reaction did not disappoint in the slightest! I laughed so hard! And then it got better, bc Merikh is just as clueless as you and my MC is learning that omg, he's actually just a grumpy little good boy. You just gotta adopt him. Sorry Sutek, sullen grumpy warrior slots are filling up really fast... I also loved cheering for Sefu and Sefu being so friggin POLITE and well behaved. I love when they show that they can be mature and competent at the same time as being total loving idiots. Desma feeling insecure was really hurting my kokoro, but then it got funny again when she asked "but are they REALLY brothers, how can we ever know?" Never change, best sister girl, my MC will steal horses with you and bury bodies. Their own horse, but probably other people's bodies. I do feel a tiny bit worried about Tamu being alone and trying to find the guild traitor preparing a take over without backup, though. Please let him be ok or at least let Gally have his back a little! This whole update had so much comedy potential with the right choices, it was a delight to read and totally worth staying up till after midnight! I love your writing style, it really hits me in all the best feels! Thank you for persevering, even through difficulties and I will honestly forever love your story! May all the cake, coffee and cookies be with you! As well as muses, time and motivation! I would offer a shoulder massage, but I can't reach through my screen anymore! All my love and adoration!

Yeah, Merikh's big brother isn't the most well-adjusted, but whether he's just a pathetic weasel or a real threat, you can be the judge.

Sefu really was on his best behavior, but good catch about Tamu. Wonder what he's up to while you're away. Desma is going through it, but she's being so mature and putting it aside to come on this hunting trip...

Okay, Lesson 24. Honestly what do I even say about it other than the cliffhanger nearly took me out?

Fine, fine, spoilers below the cut, I'm gonna have to say something lol.

Okay this is a shortish one, but here I am!

I'm kind of glad they had Lucifer being the teacher in this lesson. Diavolo kind of made it sound like it's a temporary thing for right now before they officially start RAD, but like you can't tell me that guy is a student. I don't believe it!

The best part of that whole thing was Diavolo responding cheerfully to the brothers' complaints.

Also is this the first time that Lucifer does this with someone's name other than Mammon?!

I honestly can't remember. Lucifer you sound ridiculous lol.

Right, but anyway. I didn't write a post for the last lesson because I was out of time, sorry Mammon. But we got a pact with our boy and of course he was the first because it couldn't possibly be anybody else, right?

And now Asmo's acting up, which means we're not going in the OG order. I wonder if there's a reason for that or if it was just like... Mammon is first, Lucifer is last and we can mix everybody else up? 'Cause if Lucifer isn't last, I'll be surprised.

So uh... Solomon in this lesson, though... and then Barbatos shows up... and oh my gosh. The whole later part of this lesson was just me freaking out the whole time because I LOVE THEM so much.

Solomon being protective of MC despite being less powerful than normal? Barbatos just absolutely shutting everything down the second he gets there? Barbatos then telling Solomon how he's still upset with him? Both of them putting aside their issues for a minute to help MC find Little D No 5? MC being like nope you guys are intolerable, let's talk about this? THE CLIFFHANGER????

I was actually really surprised when Lucifer was like, go to Solomon! I was like hang on what? You want me to get Solomon? I don't understand. And then Lucifer was like y'know 'cause of his pact with Asmo! And then I was like ooooohhhh okay yeah that tracks.

And our boy Sol can sense MC's presence? Now I headcanon that he reads auras, too. Of course he can. Of course he does. I love him.

Oh nothing, just my true love serving all the sass.

This man. He has also said (in an event I believe it was or maybe a Devilgram?) that he wants MC to scold him. Like sir...

Anyway, due to the fact that there was so much of Solomon and Barbatos in this lesson, I very much enjoyed it. I also love Asmo, though I am concerned about his current state. I actually liked the WW conference call the others had, though. It's so sweet that Beel was watching over Asmo while he was sleeping. Precious babies!

Author’s Note: My headcanon age for Arven is that he’s a young adult, somewhere between 20-24 years old. If this proves to be wrong in the future, please consider him to be aged up to this range!

Likewise, for the sake of the continuity (i.e. Little Buddy and whatnot), you have a similarly tiny stature to the main character in Pokémon SV. For the sake of all of us, your character here is not a teenager lol, but instead roughly the same age as Arven, give or take a few years.

Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck!!!

I look to my left and see Arven standing there, staring down at me, wide eyed and red cheeked. Not exactly knowing what to feel yet other than fear, I let out a surprised yelp, my own eyes bulging out of my skull. Realizing my hand is still against myself, I look down at it and let out another panicked yelp while removing it from my pants. I stand up and wipe my shameful hand onto the side of my shorts before putting my palms against the front of my face and pacing. 

This isn’t happening. This isn’t real. This can’t be happening there’s no way I just fucked up that badly.

Approaching the wall again, I cross my arms in front of my face and rest my forehead on my forearms, looking down at the ground below me. My heart is racing as I hear footsteps coming closer.

“I am so fucking sorry you had to see that,” I mumble. 

“I’m just glad you’re okay,” he chuckles. “I came out to check on you and heard you, uh… yeah. Thought you were in danger, at first.”

Heard me?! I thought I was doing so well! “Oh my god.”

“Hey.” Arven plants his hand on my shoulder, and I turn my head to the side to face him. I only meet his visible iris for a second before my own two veer away, unable to handle the confrontation. “Hey,” he repeats, this time more firmly. I finally meet his face, and he’s… smiling? His brow furrows as he asks me, grinning very deviously, “What were you thinking about?”

…What?

“W-why would I tell you that?!” 

“Just seeing if you’d say it,” he shrugs. 

Seeing if I’d say… it…

Why does it sound like he knows?

“What do you mean?” I whisper, horrified.

Gnawing his lower lip while his eye roams my face, Arven takes a deep breath in, seeming to hype himself up for Arceus knows what. He’s got the same look in his eye that he typically only has when he’s about to do something risky or brave or stupid. A look I’ve only seen him use in battle, or during his various culinary experiments.

The hand on my shoulder tightens, and he swivels my much smaller body with ease so that my back is against the wall.

I must look like a Magikarp with the way I silently gasp, words eluding me, and lungs threatening to choke on nothing but air. If I didn’t resemble a tamato berry before, I sure as hell do once Arven’s right palm comes up to the wall, resting just barely above the left side of my scalp.

“What I mean, my freaky little buddy,” he teases, finally answering my inquiry, “is that it sounded like imaginary-me was giving you a pretty good time.”

“Imagin–?” Oh no. “Did I… like… s-say anything?” I question, my voice barely audible.

“My name.”

“Your…” A breath shudders out of me while I look down, avoiding his face. “Oh god.”

“Said that too,” he murmurs, a smile evident in his voice.

I bury my face in my hands again and groan. Arven, apparently taking none of that, removes his palm from my shoulder and uses it to grip my wrists, pinning them above me.

Just like I had imagined at several points throughout the day.

Holy shit.

I track his movements, eyes wide, while muttering some incoherent, flustered nonsense.

“What was that?” he laughs, his nose crinkling a little.

“Nothing! Uh…” I meet his eye. “So, what’s, uh, what’s up?” 

“Small talk? Really?” 

I sigh. “Look, bud, I dunno what I’m supposed to say in a situation like this,” I whisper dejectedly.

Arven chuckles. “You don’t need to say anything.” His pupils are blown wide as he hovers over me, scanning my face. He begins lowering his head towards the left of mine, and continues, “Don’t you understand how amazing this is?” 

“What d’you mean?” I shudder, feeling his breath against my skin. I tilt my head slightly to make room for him, as if on instinct.

“Since I met you, I’ve known you were special to me,” he mutters beside my ear. I hear his forehead rest lightly onto the wall, while his hand slides down it, before wrapping around to the small of my back. “But you’ve spent so much time with Princess Nemona, and those Team Star punks, and practically everyone else in Paldea, right? And that’s not to say I don’t admire your ambition, because of course I do… but you had me thinking I was only a fraction of what was on that steel trap mind o’yours.” 

My heart feels like it’s going to burst as I lean into Arven’s touch to the best of my ability. My hands are still pinned in his fist, but I connect my torso with his as much as I’m able. Seeming to notice it, Arven balls up the fabric on the back of my shirt and inches his body closer.

“But it turns out,” his voice lowers into somewhat of a growl as he turns his head towards my ear, “You’ve been all mine this entire time, haven’t you?”

Too intoxicated off his honeyed words to form my own, I slowly nod.

I feel his lips form into a smile, and he giggles a little. My brows furrow. He… he isn’t making fun of me, is he?

As if Arven read my mind, he quells my worries. “I haven’t even had the chance to try and kiss you yet, let alone ask you out. And here I am, praying to Arceus that you’ll let me fuck you right now.” 

I take a sharp breath in, turning my face a little to see Arven’s. Is he for real?

…Wait, isn’t he a virgin? How does he know how to be this hot?

Remembering that his dorm is full of manga, and realizing there’s almost definitely some hentai mixed in there — plus, he’s more than likely watched porn — I decide that it checks out, and swiftly move on.

Arven’s visible eye meets mine. My face feels hot, and his looks like it does too. His lips are narrowly parted, and god, I really want to kiss them.

…And he just said he wants that too.

Oh my god this is actually, like, happening, isn’t it?

I manage to squeeze out a few shy words in spite of my ragged breathing. “Kiss me first?”

Exhaling an airy laugh, he nods, before releasing my wrists and body from his grasp.

“‘Course,” he utters softly.

Arven brings his hands to my face, cups my cheeks in them, and leans down towards my mouth while I crane my neck up to meet him. Unsure of where to put my hands, they land on Arven’s wrists just as we lock lips. His are chapped, which somehow makes sense. His smooches are a little messy, but assuming he’s never done this before, I predict all of this will be messy. 

Leaving my left hand around Arven’s wrist, I bring my right one up to his squared jawline, cupping my palm around it. I do my best to ease him into a better rhythm — silently showing him the ropes — and he proves to be a perfect student.

Taking my bottom lip between his teeth, Arven pulls a gasp from me, and uses the opening to let his tongue explore my mouth. Smooth. I let out an unexpected moan at the feeling, and he grins against me. 

Both my hands tangle into his mane as he deepens our kisses. He’s becoming far more bold with his movements, thanks to my accidental noises of encouragement. Soon enough, Arven repositions his right hand back onto the wall and trails sweet pecks — some more open-mouthed than others — to the corner of my mouth, down towards my jaw, and onto my neck. He begins close to the center of my throat, and works his way into the crook, somehow knowing exactly where his contact will make me tingle. 

Noticing how I shudder and tighten my grip in his hair when he reaches one spot in particular, Arven licks a small strip of skin. Then, he lightly bites down on it, eliciting an embarrassing whine from my throat. 

Smiling against my skin, he lilts, “Feel good?”

“Mmmhm,” I hum, blissfully unaware of his palm leaving my face and tentatively making its way down to my chest. A featherlight touch to my nipple sends a shock through me, and I peer down, delighted by the sight of his huge hand pressed over such an intimate spot.

“Is this okay?” Arven asks, raising himself back to lean his forehead against mine.

I hum my affirmation to him again. Nodding only slightly, so as to not jostle his head while doubling down. 

My eyes shut while he brings his palm lower to the hem of my shirt. He hikes it up slightly, placing his calloused pads on my side. Moving his touch upward, carefully making his way back to where he had just been. 

When I open my lids, my vision flutters up towards pinkened cheeks while Arven feels me up without any fabric in the way. I can’t help but catch his curled lips between mine again as he pinches and twirls me beneath his fingertips. Must’ve caught him by surprise – he moans for the first time tonight, and it sounds more beautiful than I’d ever imagined. 

My mouth parts into a toothy grin, and before I can poke fun at him (unjustifiably, given earlier circumstances), he tugs my shirt all the way to my neck, leans down, and begins to lick and suck my around my chest. I whine as he suctions the skin between his teeth, leaving a harsh bruise. 

After kissing it better, he kneels. Peppering more kisses down my tummy and onto my hip, without breaking eye contact. One of my hands leaves his hair, and I timidly hide the lower half of my face under the collar of my shirt. The other stays against Arven’s head, offering soothing pets in return for how good he’s making me feel without having really done anything yet. He only lowers his turquoise iris to focus on untying the string from my shorts, and I take the opportunity to bask in a rare sight: his entire face. As I lift his bangs, he glimpses up and playfully glares at me.

“You’re so handsome,” I murmur. I worry it’s muffled by my shirt – that he won’t be able to hear me through the rolls of fabric – but a wide smile tells me otherwise.

One of Arven’s hands stays on my side, engulfing the damn thing. The other makes its way around to my ass, giving the right cheek a light knead — like I’m his dough, or something — taking up the entirety of that with his palm, too. I feel oddly satisfied, maybe even turned on, by how much bigger he is than me. 

He looks proud of my upturned brows and heady breaths while he continues to kiss lightly along my waistband. Stopping for a sec, he tilts his forehead to rest on my hip, and sighs.

Rin and Yukio find that the door leads to a bottomless pit even if you DO get it open So what gives? L might be "left" but what's the V? Rin observes that there's some patterns/symbols/something on the ground. Yukio recognizes them as Indo-Arabic numerals. V is 7. So I guess the seventh symbol on the left is the real door. They go there and find a little hidden entrance. No blood sacrifice required! The weird meat machine is a gross red herring! I feel like this is a lil jab at the first anime ending XD

On the way to bring everyone to the entrance, we run into This Asshole Again ("BUT SHURA!" "BUT THE WHOLE MISSION!") Asmodeus says that it's a pretty sweet gig, being a demon of his or Amon's level. Easy to find hosts and they don't disintegrate too fast. But BECAUSE of that, you don't REALLY get to feel alive (He shoots nasty energy beams at the kids and Shura defends them as he's saying this) Asmodeus says that pain and fear and despair are all proof that you're alive! And he can live vicariously through Shura by making her feel these things! Ew!

Cliffhanger on him winding up to kill someone or other in front of an exhausted Shura, while Osceola tries to stand up Osceola is just absolutely maxing out my Concern For Osceola Gauge in that last panel. Concern levels are off the charts here

A/N: I know that the last episode ended on a cliffhanger and it’s kind of assumed that everyone died, but I refuse to believe that lol so this takes places after explosion

They should’ve died. They were at the center of some magical explosion caused by their power-hungry vice principal. They should’ve been burned to a crisp.

But they weren’t.

Y/n was the first to wake up after being knocked out. Their head throbbed as they looked around the room. Everything was knocked over from the force of the explosion, and it looked like some things that were close to the source were slightly charred. Y/n wondered how this would be explained to the citizens of Whitechapel.

They groaned as they slowly stood up, walking to where they last saw vice principal Stern. Y/n’s eyes widened at the sight in front of them. The power of the Lucifractor must’ve been too powerful for Stern to fully absorb and survive. His stiff, burnt hands still held the artifact.

“Yikes.” Y/n jumped at the sudden voice next to them, whipping around to the source, ready to whack them. They stopped themself when they saw that it was their boyfriend, Benny.

“You scared the shit out of me, Benny.” Y/n sighed, putting their face in their hands.

“I’m sorry.” He said softly, moving forward to embrace them, which they immediately returned. They stayed in that position for a while, unsure of what to do next. 

“You okay?” Y/n asked, taking a small step back to look at Benny. He was staring at Stern with an indescribable expression.

“Yeah.” Benny gulped, turning away from him to sit down on one of the steps. Y/n followed, leaning their head on his shoulder. There was a tense feeling surrounding them as they looked at the explosion’s aftermath. “Do you think that school will let out early if our vice principal’s dead?” He laughed a little at his own silly question.

Y/n knew what Benny was trying to do. He had a habit of trying to lighten the mood however he could, no matter how intense the situation was. 

“Maybe. They’ll probably want us to have a grieving period or something.”

“Forget grieving. I’m gonna celebrate! The dude was literally evil.” Benny looked back at the man in question before whipping back forward. “I’ll have a barbeque party in his honor.” He laughed again, but something seemed off about it. Y/n looked up to see his eyes glazed over.

“Benny-”

“Get it, because he got barbequed.” His laughter broke into a sob as a tear fell. He covered his mouth to keep quiet, but the sounds just became somewhat muffled. It broke Y/n’s heart. 

“Oh, honey.” They whispered, bringing Benny closer to them. His head fell onto their shoulder, soaking their shirt with tears.

“I thought we were gonna die.” He whimpered, clutching onto his partner. “I thought I would never see any of you guys again.”

“It’s okay.” Y/n combed a hand through his messy hair, trying to give him some kind of comfort. “We’re okay. We’re fine; everything’s gonna be fine.”

“We could’ve died, Y/n.”

“But we didn’t.” Y/n had to bite back a sob of their own. Seeing Benny, of all people, break down was becoming their tipping point, but they had to hold themself together for him. “The worst of it is over, Benny.”

They sat on the stairs, the only sounds being Benny’s heavy breathing and sniffles and Y/n’s comforting words. Ethan, Sarah, and Jesse soon woke up, and Benny refused to look at any of them. He didn’t want his friends to see him broken down like this.

When he calmed down, the group left the church. They had no idea how the events of last night would be explained to the rest of the town. But that was a problem for another time. 

The group reluctantly broke off to go their separate ways. Jesse sped away to God knows where, Sarah left to try to find Erica and Rory, and Ethan went home. That just left Benny and Y/n on the sidewalk.

“Can you come home with me?” Benny asked. “I think the last thing I need right now is to be alone.”

“Of course.”

The two walked to Benny’s in silence, tightly gripping each other’s hands. Grandma Weir didn’t seem to be home when they got there, which was a relief. The couple was too drained to tell her what had happened. They just went to Benny’s room and laid down on his bed.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Y/n asked, resting on Benny’s chest while he held them close. 

“I’m better now, I think.” He sighed, stroking their hair. “This is helping.”

Since you and I both have such a bone to pick with John Barber's writing and I rarely see people criticize the actually offensive things he wrote, I wanted to send you an ask about this thing that has bothered me for ages: one of the issues by him I especially hated was RID #32, where he wrote Prowl thinking it was a good idea to point a gun to Jazz's head to get his attention (!) but then Barber also tried to tack on some kind of friendship moment at the end of the issue anyway? How he think he could have both? I mean, that's obviously ridiculous and racist (and Barber making it so that Jazz was also once a cop does not improve it).

But there's another minor thing—um. Why did Barber also have Jazz making fun of Prowl's weight in that issue??? What was that? And isn't it extra weird when RID Prowl is a character with a distressingly THIN waist??? There are tons of amazing fat Autobots like Ratchet, Ironhide, Inferno, Grapple, and Trailbreaker, so this felt extra disrespectful. How could anyone look at Jazz and be like, you know what would make this character better? If he made fatphobic jokes! —arceespinkgun

Oh! RID is Gr8! Except when it's not.

It's so odd, there WAS actual good character work in JB's work... But when there wasn't, you get someone like Jazz.

Jazz, for me, in the hands of John Barber is really a lost character, he tries to cling on his G1 personality while still adding that gritty John Barber grime of his, but I feel it doesn't work. Especially when he brings in Costa's god-awful writing, yeah, I know JB's thing is building on what came before (take a shot every time AHM comes up), but the cop murder stuff was egregious and brought Jazz's character down imo.

Let's go to the beginning of RID, shall we? Jazz after the war basically becomes a NAIL, which I loved actually! The whole theme of RID is moving on from the war and the past! It does get derailed a little when issue #15 comes in and we have Jazz saying Sky-bite (Decepticon turned NAIL) should help the injured because all he has been is a stone-cold killer (not murder-hobo levels of fanon, but eh). This whole "NAIL" Jazz doesn't last, as RID #31 makes a point to have a flashback scene to remind us of the JUSTIFIABLE cop murder and have him back in the Autobots after he's doomed to the cop purgatory.

Granted, I'm making my way through the "Optimus Prime" comic book, I tried to read those but got bored(I get bored easily sorry) - I'll make an addendum if I have anything to say about that.

What really bothers me with JB's RID Jazz is that he seems really locked in that role, but I don't have any suggestions that wouldn't be awfully anti-Barber, yk? Like 'forgetting that dog-shit Costa plot point' isn't something he'd do. Hey, but imagine Jazz helping rebuild Cybertron along with Wheeljack or something idfk.

Also, having THE black Transformer be associated with violence, cop violence more specifically, is sure a decision ig.

LOL that bit in RID #32 is SO CLUNKY!! It's a shitty pay-off to a cliffhanger on RID #31!! The cliffhanger that was just made to make the reader wonder: "Is Prowl betraying the Autobots?!" This was the game JB was playing in the Earthfall arc, which was the arc that made it clear that Prowl really is JB's favorite character...

WDYM? I LIE AWAKE WANTING ALL MY FAVES TO BE FATPHOBIC??!? sigh... John Barber is my greatest enemy.

= Billy's actions do get framed as wrong I THINK but he still does that awful "yeah I'm sorry I guess but YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I DID IT YOU'LL UNDERSTAND EVENTUALLY" bullshit that's been so prevalent in these comics and pisses me off every time. Oh was it ~hurtful~ for Aisha to call you a traitor? It probably hurt when Kiya and Alt-Trini kicked her ass and knocked her out because of what YOU told them to do, asshole

= Also if shattering the Grid really gets fixed as easily as "oh well the last remaining Egg will fix it" then Necessary Evil and the Omegas truly were giant wastes of time, weren't they

hello hello!! its time for the doctor who rankings again, today it's time for series 8!! really like this series guys not gonna lie :D again, these are my opinions and also just. mostly for my benefit but i post them here in case someone else is interested in my thoughts???

1. Listen (8x4) - oh how i love this episode guys, i love the opening already, peter capaldi was MADE for stuff like this, i think. i like the idea of a creature that has perfected hiding, i think that's interesting, and i love the ending with clara talking to the doctor as a kid, i love how we kinda still left it ambiguous whether this creature exists or not (i think it does, the creature that was on danny's bed didn't look like a human, even though we didn't see it clearly, but it's not 100% sure this creature is actually real). always love it when doctor who goes horror

2. Mummy on the Orient Express (8x8) - SO good, love this episode, i love the mystery of the mummy and i think a morally grey doctor was written well in this, i liked perkins a lot and kinda wished he had become a companion, and i liked the story. also the "are you my mummy" heritage still going strong lmao

3. Flatline (8x9) - SO GOOD!! i love the idea of creatures that are in 2D that's interesting, i like clara and there are so many hilarious things in this, personally i died permanently when clara just pulled the hammer from the bag and went "apparently they're in the walls", it was so funny to me lol, yeah, brilliant i think

4. Deep Breath (8x1) - does the beginning with clara feel a bit weird considering she has literally seen every regeneration of the doctor's and knows how it works? yeah. but i get where they're going with it and why it is there, because the audience has just lost the previous doctor, who is this new guy here why is he so different, how can he suddenly be so old?? the kids who might have started watching with matt smith might say, and i get that clara is now acting as the audience, i don't mind it. and i like the scene with vastra and clara. and the second half of the episode is brilliant, i love clara with the robot. guys. i don't remember if they had a name sorry guys lol. but she was great. i really think she's so much better in this series than in series 7. and this episode also has some really funny moments, i had so much fun following the doctor's adventures, and i love jenny, vastra and strax as people might notice from the previous posts. i LOVE them. miss them every day i want them back i hate that this is their last appearance on tv :( but yeah, a great introduction to the new doctor, dare i even say better than the eleventh hour are we ready for that conversation??

5. Dark Water/Death in Heaven (8x11/8x12) - always love meeting kate even if she's in a small role, live laugh love kate lethbridge-stewart if she got no fans i'm dead. anyway, i like finally meeting missy properly, she's great and i enjoyed the doctor and her together. i think the cliffhanger is good and i personally am a danny pink defender, i was sad that he died, he wasn't my favourite character but i didn't hate him like most people seem to do lol. i also think the cybermen are alright and the nod to the brigadier and the doctor saluting him is really nice i think

6. Time Heist (8x5) - it's a nice story, i like the concept and the teller is an interesting creature in my opinion, i like the time travel heist stuff and i like psi and saibra, i think it's great and seems a bit underappreciated in the fandom? or have i just not seen people talk about it? i don't know

7. Robot of Sherwood (8x3) - this was actually pretty good fun, i laughed so many times watching this, and even though the story isn't the best in my opinion, i think this is still very fun and enjoyable and i had a great time watching it. robin hood and the doctor's dynamic was actually pretty hilarious

8. The Caretaker (8x6) - i must say, this made me laugh a few times, i think it's fun, and i like clara and danny's relationship stuff here, i think the dynamic between the doctor and danny is interesting, but the story itself isn't the best and i don't think it's anything special

9. Into the Dalek (8x2) - now i get what this story is going for and how we start exploring the question of whether the doctor is a good man or not is great, i like that theme, and i personally like that last excange with the doctor and the dalek, how the doctor says that hatred isn't victory and the double meaning of "a good dalek". but even though steven moffat is 100% one of my favourite doctor who writers, something i must say that he doesn't get right are the daleks, i don't think he gets them. i think he sees them just plainly as evil angry tanks, which they're not, yes they're obviously evil, but they do have sort of personality, they're occasionally sassy and think themselves to be cleverer than they are, and i don't think moffat gets their characterisation right

10. In the Forest of the Night (8x10) - i don't hate it but it's not good either. it's pretty boring because our characters are just randomly running around a forest, which i do think can be done well, but this wasn't. i found clara and danny's relationship stuff to be okay and i think it was so sweet the kids shipped them lol, and i do think that the fact that this had so much of them being kinda happy makes danny's death in the next episode more sad. and i did 100% pick up on the message about protecting trees, which is indeed important, and i liked that the trees were protecting the earth and that children made the message to everyone like young people do today with the climate change, i think that's something that's good about this story.

11. Kill the Moon (8x7) - i don't completely hate it, it's got a few kinda funny lines and i think it did the morally grey doctor thing well, and i love the ending with clara. but the anti-abortion message is not it, and you know i'm giving the writer the benefit of the doubt, because i can 100% see an another way to interpret the story, that humans want to destroy things that they don't know about and we should instead give them a chance because it could be a good thing, but the way some things are worded in the story are just giving anti-abortion message. and i personally wasn't a fan of the random astronaut and the story as a whole just wasn't for me. though i think the morally grey doctor is done well, it feels kinda weird that he just. disappears mid story, i don't know, but yeah, not a fan

I was tagged by the lovely @naranjapetrificada to share my Thoughts and Speculations for the timeline of OFMD S2, ie "eight predictions for eight episodes." Thank you, and sorry for the late response; I was facing The Horrors (derogatory). But now that the panic that is OFMD S2 being almost 3 weeks away is setting in, WHAT BETTER TIME TO RAMBLE ON AND ON ABOUT IT HSDJKS~

girlies (gn) there is honestly so much to account for. there are so many different elements that we've seen through promotional material and spoilers that i'm just like,,, how is this all going to Fit. BUT LET'S TRY OUR BEST SHALL WE LMAO-

((also hi hello this is ✨Jodi From the Future✨ coming in after typing up this entire thing, and realizing it was only supposed to be like,,, eight ideas for what's going to happen in the eight episodes. meanwhile my bitchass did a full blown prediction for what's going to go down timeline wise PFFF. BUT SURE YEAH THAT COUNTS AS ONLY EIGHT RIGHT? IT'S FINE,,,))

Episode 1. I think this is going to be more of an establishing episode. Establishing where the characters are, what they're up to, what challenges they're facing, etc etc. So, it'll likely focus on Stede's yearning, and Ed's heartbreak. I wouldn't be surprised if the "he's actually a good guy," the bottle kiss, and the wedding crash are all in this episode. And maybe it'll end off with the wedding topppersjfskfhsjklklbf,,,

Episode 2. An episode to build off of the motivations established in one, and also to move the characters a bit closer to each other. Maybe this is the episode where Stede tries to employ the help of the Red Flag Fleet, because they need a better mode of transportation to catch up with the Revenge. And maybe if that doesn't go too hot lol, maybe the storm will be towards the end of this episode to beach the Revenge somewhere. Though, I feel like that's quite a dramatic event, and would make more sense to occur a bit deeper in the season? But based on the rest of my thoughts/theories, it simply Does Not Fit SJKDS. So for now, I'm treating it as like, a divine intervention type beat where the crews are being beckoned closer together.

Episode 3. For SOME reason, be it just crossed fingies or the consideration of parallels or both, I have a feeling that Stede and Ed are going to reunite at the end of this episode. I think taking the episode release schedule into consideration also points to a reunion, because then we'd be left to sit with that for a week l m a o. I feel like we'll get to see all the intense emotions of them seeing each other for the first time in months, and their subsequent awe/reactions, before it abruptly cuts off as a cliffhanger. As for the actual BODY of the episode?? MAYBE the storm could also fit here in the middle somewhere, with the same sort of "the universe is wanting these people to be back together so lol STORM BE UPON YE."

Episode 4. The aftermath of the reunion. You get to see the proper reactions, ie Ed probably being dismissive and Stede trying to remain warm/enthusiastic. And then allllll the characterization that comes along with that, ie Stede's crew being like "I told you so" or Izzy being like "oh my FOOKIN god edward was throwing knives around and crying and making us crash weddings and now stede actually shows up and tHIS IS WHERE WE'RE AT???" So maybe, MAYBE, this is where Izzy steps in and tries to better things a bit by helping Stede, because he's Sick and Tired HSDJKLS. Like, this'll be the Fanfiction Episode™.

Episode 5. Wouldn't it be something if the party was in this episode to mirror the 5th episode in season 1 l m a o. And forgive me, because my theories towards Certain Events have seesawed ALL OVER THE PLACE HSDKJS. But hear me out hear me out. So episode 5 starts off as a sort of continuation from episode 4, and maybe Stede is trying to work himself up to better woo Ed. Like he's pulling out all the stops, which is why he's trying to train and better himself and do whatever he can.

But then MAYBE he has some sort of realization that like...Edward, his Ed, was so so excited to go to the Fancy Party Full of Hoity Toity People™. And was so so happy to dress up and be beautiful and feel himself. And so he decides to host a similar party on the Revenge for everyone, because not only would it be good for morale, but good for his beloved. So, they do, and everyone is Hype. Wee John gets to dress in drag, Roach gets to fire canons, etc etc. It's all so full of color and life and happiness again.

And, of course, maybe Ed and Stede have a Moment of some sort. I'm really really praying for a "Ed...May I have this dance?" type thing, followed by them having their first quiet and romantic moment of the season. And you can SEE some of Ed's walls coming down, even though he'd probably still be hesitant/tense. Maybe they even have an almost kiss type moment jUST LIKE IN THE PREVIOUS 5TH EPISODE. Or maybe the hhngfngmfngdmfd pearls,,,

...But then EVERYTHING CHANGED WHEN THE FIRE NATION ATTACKED SJDKSHKLDS. Because that ONE shot in the trailer where Wee John is shown in drag looks like a party, but also a party that was crashed by very unwelcome guests. So like, wouldn't it be something if the almost kiss moment was interrupted by some sort of enemy, and everything rapidly goes downhill.

Everyone gets bound, Stede gets tied to the mast, and...what if THIS is where Ed is thrown overboard. What if the enemy is someone who has it out for pirates, and very much has it out for Blackbeard in particular. So, they tie up Ed and throw him overboard in a murder/execution attempt, and Stede has to watch :))). Something something a parallel to Ed having to watch Stede get almost killed NUMEROUS times hskdjs. The turns have tabled.

And maybe there's a desperate moment between them right before Ed's thrown over. Maybe a desperate lock of their eyes, a desperate scream from Stede, a desperate declaration of feelings, even. And then the episode ends with Ed in the water.

Episode 6. The aftermath of episode 5 ofc. Stede and the crew have been captured, or maybe even just Stede has been captured. And Ed washes up on the beach alone.

I think this'll be where Ed sort of grounds himself and comes back into himself, because the gravity of the situation will hit him particularly hard. Like, he FELT things again. He felt BEAUTIFUL again. He felt DESIRED again. He felt like HIMSELF again. And didn't act upon it, and got separated from his sweetheart before he could. I wouldn't be surprised if he subsequently fights ghosts/demons of his own here, ie Hornigold or his father or individuals equivalent. So like, the barrel/clobbering shot is him fighting against his past type deal.

And then MEANWHILE, I think this is where Stede's going to get tortured. The darlings are both going to Go Through It in this episode.

AND, the more I look at that one shot of Ed in the woods with someone present with him, the more I'm like...IS that Wee John??? Or is that someone else? Because it would be something if the Revenge Crew was left alone, and only Stede was captured for his crimes against the Navy (murders and the escape from the academy). And then they somehow try and scramble/get help/link back up with the Red Fleet/find Ed themselves.

So, that one shot could have been them doing just that, and catching him up to speed after all that's happened. And maybe there's some sort of pivotal forgiveness moment/apology moment between Ed and the crew there too.

And then everyone's like...holy shit we need to go and KICK ASS ALL TOGETHER.

Episode 7. ✨The Battle Episode✨. Aka everyone kicking ass all together HSKDLS. Everyone uniting against a common enemy and battling it the hell out. There could be naval battles out at sea between the Red Flag Fleet, the Revenge, and the Navy, and then battles on foot on the black sand beach.

Something something wherever the enemy took Stede to torture him was also the same island Ed ended up on PFFFF. So, something something Stede somehow gets free, be it through his own devices or his crew, and they all start battling it out.

And ED is of course in the fray as well, especially pissed if he hears what they did to Stede.

Annnnd it leads to yet another reunion, ie them fighting to each other on the black sands. And I really, really, REALLY cannot express how badly I want them to fight to each other just to strongly kiss the moment they make it.

Annnnnndd then okay lol the CAVE. I'm thinking that one or both of them sustain injuries, or maybe just have to go and hide out somewhere since they're both VERY much wanted by the enemy. Something something them having to tend to each other and also having emotional conversations/talking it through, mixed in with more kisses.

Annnnnnnnnnd something something they all manage to fend off the enemy...*Buttons voice* FER NOW...

Episode 8. I think this episode would start off very unassuming. Like, the crews have won their battle, and go on to celebrate/recuperate. Maybe this is where they end up at Jackie's, and Ed gets to do those Soft Eyes, because he feels better and safe and IN LOVE. And so maybe things will be a bit easy-going and romantic to start off with.

Remember the friggin lighthouse. Something something "major romantic moment between two key characters." Something something WHAT IF ED AND STEDE HAVE A MAJOR ROMANTIC MOMENT IN THE LIGHTHOUSE HERE. would they be insane enough to do a proposal or something equivalent idk. i think i wouldn't make it to the other side if that was the case.

and if it's not a full proposal, even a deep declaration like stede going "i'll be by your side forever. if you'll have me" would just be hsfkshfskljkladhalkjhdfklgd.

But of course lol, OF COURSE, SILLY LITTLE PIRATE SHOW WILL PROBABLY END WITH SILLY LITTLE PIRATE PROBLEMS.

So, I would not be surprised if some SHIT goes down at the end of episode 8, maybe even leaving Ed and Stede separated again. Or at least putting them up against very very high stakes.

*GASPS FOR AIR* LMAO. I know I'm not even accounting for everything we've seen here. I know there are still elements like LUCIUS, the other couples, Anne and Mary, and some other little tidbits we've seen. But this is just what my brain Cooked. THIS IS WHERE WE ENDED UP SHDJKS.

And it'll be very very interesting to see what actually happens.

As you walk, the rain hides the tears that spill down your cheeks.

Oikawa sat back down and let out a frustrated sigh. He was frustrated at himself, for letting you walk out like that. He was confused, frustrated, and worried. He gripped his hair in frustration and cursed himself. He stayed sitting there, in a flurry of thoughts.

When you arrive, you sit on the grass, leaning against a tree, wishing Kageyama was sitting beside you like he used to. You didn’t always talk, but you didn’t always need to either.

Oikawa continued to sit in the café. He was trying to decide what he should do. He was debating whether he should follow you to make sure you're okay or give you some time alone. After a few more minutes, he couldn't take it anymore. His worry for you overcame his rational thoughts. He got up with a sigh. He pulled up the hood of his jacket and headed out into the rain towards the park. He was hoping he would be able to find you.

“How the hell am I supposed to find her in all of this?” He muttered to himself as he walked faster through the rain.

As memories of your best friend flow through your mind, you stop trying to hold back the tears that have been threatening to spill down your cheeks.

“Please be here. Please don't be anywhere else. Please be safe,” Oikawa muttered the words like a mantra as he walked deeper into the park. He was looking around frantically, searching for you.

He continued walking till he spotted you sitting against a tree. He felt a wave of relief wash over him. He walked towards you, his footsteps quick and light. As he neared you, he could see that you were crying.

“Oh it's you,” you murmur as you look up.

He was glad he found you, but your reaction to seeing him was a jab to his heart. He continued to walk closer to you, his footsteps making sloshing sounds in the damp grass.

“..Yeah. It's me.”

“Did you need something?”

Oikawa reached you and slowly sat down beside you, keeping a bit of a distance. He stared at you, raindrops dripping from his hair and eyelashes.

“I..uh, I just..”

He didn't know what to say. 

“Why are you here?” You continue to look at the ground, refusing to meet his gaze.

He let out a frustrated sigh before continuing to speak, his voice laced with irritation.

“Because I was worried about you, idiot. You just walked off without a word, and I didn't know if you were actually planning to run or not. So I followed you here.”

“I told you what I was doing.” Your jaw clenches.

He let out another sigh. His irritation was increasing with each passing second. He wanted to know more about your relationship with Kageyama. He wanted to know why you were so attached to him, he didn’t understand it.

“Yeah, I know that you said you were going here but you didn't... You didn't say why you were going here.”

“I just miss my fucking best friend okay? Is it really that big a deal?”

That triggered something within Oikawa. He gritted his teeth before speaking again.

“Kageyama? That's what this is all about? You're crying and running off to a secluded place like this because you miss Kageyama? Seriously?”

“God, just because you hate him doesn't mean you get to hate our friendship, it means something to me.”

He let out a sharp scoff. His irritation was turning to anger. He clenched his fists, trying to keep his emotions in check. But he couldn't hold back the next words that came out in a biting tone.

“Hate him? I don't hate him. I just can't believe you're crying over him, of all people. You and Kageyama hung out here and it means so much to you? He's cold and rude. Why is he so important?”

Your breath catches in your throat as he speaks.

“I don't understand it. Why are you even crying like this over him? It's stupid. He's just some guy you used to hang out with. Why does he matter so much to you? And why are you going to some spot in the park to cry over him like some lovesick fool? Don't tell me you have feelings for him,” he sneers.

Your tears had practically dried at that point, but came pouring out once more as he continued, as you placed a shaky hand over your mouth in shock.

He didn't expect his words to have that much of an effect on you. He instantly regretted what he said as he watched you cry even more. Seeing tears stream down your face sent a pang of guilt through him.

“Shit,” he sighs, “I didn't mean that.. I didn't mean-”

You flinch away from him. 

“I can't believe I have to marry you,” you snap.

His heart sank more as he watched you flinch away from him. Your words sending a pang of hurt and guilt through him. His hand stayed frozen in mid-air, not reaching you. 

“Y-you can't believe…”

He took a shaky breath. He knew he messed up. He didn't even know why he said all those words. Now he was hurting you.

“I am not,” you take a shaky breath, standing up, “a lovesick idiot. Kageyama is not cold or rude. You have no idea what you're talking about and there is no way for you to even begin to fathom what he did for me,” you clench your fists, digging your nails into your palms.

He quickly stood up too. He wanted to apologize, to make things right, but he didn't know how to say the words. So he ended up blurting out something else.

“And you're saying that I don't understand? That I can’t even fathom it? I've known him for years. I've seen how he is. He's a rude, egotistical jerk!”

“He's the reason I'm alive,” you spit back, pushing him.

But I’m curious to ask like the kind of Dyanamic you will give Sokka n Suki.

From what we’ve seen sokkka cares abt suki, obv, but he dosent want to really open up w her and suki is tired of being takes as a joke, cus that’s mostly what she has taken from sokka’s attitude mostly and that’s why they are avoiding each other. NOW.

W THE WHOOE THING KATARA KNOWS ABT ZUKKA (BY ARA, OBV FANTASTIC) OF COURSE THE FIRST SHES GONNA TRLL WILL BE SUKI AND OMG I JUST KNOW THE BOYS WILL HAVE TO GO TROUGH SOME SHIT NEXT CHAPTER (i think mostly ZUKO but sokka isn’t completely save ither lol)

HIIIII…. ok so. Sokka & Suki lol…. I want to say they’ll get over it & be friends but I also feel like that’s unrealistic, and not very understanding of Sukis feelings about what happened?

Suki is a teenage girl who just experienced her first heartbreak by having the boy she liked lie to her,,, only to reveal later that he’s involved with someone else lol… yeah she’s fumming. There are also little things along that way that have added insult to injury, like the way sokka has ignored her and the other kyoshi warriors, or not even noticing her when she’s in the same room as him… idk with all the tension I wouldn’t expect her and sokka to make up to a point where they’ll hang out? But I do think a conversation between them is bound to happen.

AHHHHH….. I have so much I want to say about Katara knowing but the next two chapters will do that for me so ummm *sings theme song* BE PREPAREDDDDDD!!!!

ok so a random Katara sokka line from next chapter hmmm let’s see….

“Did you two visit markets together too?”

”Yeah, a few actually. We even stayed at an Inn once, it was nice. Do you remember, Zuko?”

Seeing the multiple update drops, looks like I'm in for a feast now that I managed to pass my exams and is now entering a new term after enjoying a pretty decent holiday

Congrats on passing your exams!!! <3 Hell yeah!! 1. LOL really??? I actually double checked that. I tend to write them in like 10 seconds because they're always the bane of my existence, I forgot people might be reading them and I can see where you got that xDD (I try to keep them spoiler-free but exciting)

2. I wanted to take a realistic route with the Paldea Squad. They're loyal and protective as Juliana's best friends (all in their own ways), and tbh, the kind of relationship foundation that Kieran & Juliana have formed is pure at the end of the day, but it is hosted on a very rocky and tumultuous road. (What no one knows is that 99% of it is tragically thanks to the stupid peach). I'm glad it's coming across well, because imo any good friend is gonna care about intervening when they're concerned about you.

3. Penny is lowkey an MVP and having someone with her skillset is invaluable for these kinds of mysteries LOL. She'd be unusually good at Clue, probably.

4. Sometimes I really just like to fuck around and break the fourth wall with Drayton in not so subtle ways. Ahhh, Drayton. xD

butting in, sorry lol I also feel like the interviews are confusing but there have been hints in the show too that maybe we shouldn't give up buddie completely? eddie's 'you're not about to jump ship' and buck's 'just keeping my options fluid' was so funny and they have been getting more screen time together than apart, even as friends. I feel like tim being back makes a huge difference and I hope he's staying. I'm gonna enjoy all the bucktommy we can get because as you say, it will take a while to figure things out especially eddie, but it's not over yet! we might still get more than just an ending

yeah tbh I'm pretty sure the "jumping ship" line was aimed at us, the other was probably just a "see what we did there? because he's bi, get it??" lmao

but yeah Tim being back makes all the difference and this is something that Oliver actually articulated on his interview with Zach Sang and I am desperately hoping that he won't go back to Lone Star full time next season, because that'd put everything at risk from a buddie, but also generally speaking, from the show's perspective as well.

I talked about this before, but my ideal scenario and what I think is close to what we can expect is: bucktommy until the end of this season, maybe an 'oh' moment in the finale and then expanding on that storyline in the beginning of the next season and possibly having a get-together moment in mid s8 or the finale.

that all depends on getting renewed early again though and we can't forget about a very possible cliffhanger at the end of this season either.

all in all, I think we're in for a great ride, as long as we got Tim.
