Hey y'all I am still working on the goat in a dress but am delayed by a POTS flareup so I will not be working on it more until tomorrow
I forgot asparagus is a diuretic. Again. lol
(for anyone reading this with no context for why that matters, I have both POTS and salt wasting syndrome and am on medication that is literally the opposite of a diuretic to help keep my blood pressure up. Eating a bunch of asparagus kind of temporarily undid that effect and I am very tired but fine, and I'll be back to normal in the morning)

“oh if you have pots make sure you have extra salt” fun fact if you put too much salt in your drink your body will expel all the water. apparently salt water cleanses are a thing. i didn’t know that until today. and then you’ll be even more dehydrated. ask me how i found out.

personally i have prescriptions for it cause mine screwed my brain up but obvious ones like proper rest + maybe log what you eat and see if theres any correlation + general put nutrients in your body stuff which is actually kind of hard to keep track of
i have some REALLY WEIRD scent based triggers so i have to stay away from ammonia-like scents and eucalyptus cause those will put my ass out flat IMMEDIATELY, thats not an everyone thing but maybe note if theres sensory stuff around you that might be a trigger
for me warm toned lights and screen tints are way better than cool tones/white light and if youve got light colored eyes wear amber tinted sunglasses outdoors
water + salty snack > pedialite > gatorade and depending on caffeine sensitivity maybe moderate that cause it can either help or hurt, kinda depends on the person, but water and saltines will get you electrolytes and its cheap as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck even if it doesnt taste as great as gatorade
sunlight on your skin and not in your eyeballs
also vitamin d just in general helps but its way better to actually use the sun for that than trying to digest it so like just 10ish minutes in the sun is what my neurologist recommended on top of taking 2000mg tablets

I got a box of liquid iv recently to help my dysautonomia and ill be real im probably enjoying it more than I should. it does seem to help though like yesterday I went on a walk after drinking two bottles and not only did my heart not act up but I sweated a normal amount

i used to go to the gym before work instead of after bc once im home after work i dont wanna go anywhere, but then i canceled my membership and got a treadmill, and it took me the better part of a year to realize that now i can work out after work bc i dont have to go anywhere. now im turning into an at home gym rat its wild.

i was trying not to do anything out of the ordinary to manage feeling Extra Unwell recently in case i was being a big overdramatic crybaby, however.
I took electrolytes for 2 days and regained access to a full spectrum of thoughts and emotions, feel mentally alert and have a bit of physical energy (!?!), actually did the physical therapy i used to be able to do daily, and have the beginnings of 5 creative projects so.
it might be a coincidence and electrolytes make everyone feel alive, but i think it could be an actual symptoms syndrome. :P

Took a zofran (which I don’t think I’ve ever taken before) cause I kept throwing up in my mouth (which was very unpleasant) but now I have anxiety cause I read about all the possible terrible side effects. So now I can’t sleep even though it’s 6:20 am and I haven’t gone to sleep yet and I’m very tired. My tummy hurts

One of my friends used to be a nurse and a girl can’t catch a break around here. I was a little blah and she was like “have you been drinking water?” And I was like oh haha I know the answer to this one Yes I Have Been Drinking A Lot Of Water All Day :)
And she was like “well that’s the problem, you’re probably low on electrolytes.” She checked my pulse and was like “I’m getting you a Powerade.”
