Hey I noticed something and wanted to talk about it but has anyone noticed how the crk fandom tends to treat male characters?

Long post. I’m just beefing with crk twt again. But I’ve seen some of this here too.

They’ll either be woobified to an insane degree and have their personality stripped, or made out to be the spawn of satan. Lord Oyster is a major example. I’ve seen people saying he deserves to die for what he did. And while I can admit, the guy did fuck up in giving up the pearl, some of you tend to forget he did that to save his family. And I have no doubt he probably felt majorly guilty for the rest of his life about that.

Let’s have another example, a non-npc this time. Royal Margarine. People hate him for what, the fact he doesn’t look like a twink/dilf? The fact he… Hit on Hollyberry? First off, that’s stupid. Secondly, the guy was drunk, and I mean smashed. He didn’t even use her real name. And I might be forgetting, but didn’t he start crying about how much of a coward he was immediately after? You also have to remember the guy flirts with anyone he meets (yes I count the Wildberry dialogue as flirting shut up).

Anyway I’m tired and also the #1 loyster defender don’t try me

Hollowframe 57 + Umbra, my submission for the TennoCon 2024 Community Showcase!

Sorry that it took this long to post! This update is special for many reasons, and I'll go through them all here!

First up, Dante AND Jade!

This is the first time I've added two frames to the project at once, rushing to get both finished in time for Tennocon. In order to do so I had to skip making backgrounds for them, however I still plan on making them as soon as I'm able!

You can find more details about the delay and my change of plans regarding their solo compositions in the thread here

In addition to the two new frames, I also took the liberty to rework and tweak a bunch of the older designs that I felt weren't fitting the goal of the project well enough. It was nice drawing simpler designs again! (old on left, new on right)

Now to get sappy, cause this poster had two journeys through Tennocon! The first being that it got accepted into the community showcase, so here's pics of that! What an absolute honor omg

The second journey was my own personal print, which got signed by so many amazing and lovely people from DE!! I'm SO glad I got the poster printed for myself from Mercury Blueprinting the day of TennoVIP oh my lorrrrd

Holly & Macy November 2024 BIG Progress Update!!

Hi, everyone! I've written up a fairly exhaustive progress update about the status of Holly & Macy and Everyone Else. You can read the whole thing (and view the included pictures) on my Patreon. The Patreon post is public, so you do not need to be a member of my Patreon to view it. It should be available for free to everyone. I'll very briefly summarize the main points below. The gist of it is:

Holly & Macy will officially resume weekly updates starting Wednesday January 29th 2025. From then on, the comic will update on Wednesdays at 11am PST. That’s 1pm CST, 2 hours later than the previous update time.

ALSO I am open for commissions right now! I’ve joined an artist collective raising funds to help Shimaa’s family in Gaza. If you donate to Shimaa’s gofundme, you can get some lovely art from me in exchange!
