There are some of my headcanons about the relationship between the past generation Lan bros and this whole family drama, cuz I have nothing better to do.

Now these might not be fully compliant with canon.

We know almost nothing about Lan Qiren's and Qingheng-Jun's relationship. It is implied that LQR sympathizes with his brother, but that's all.

My headcanon is that when they were young, they were very similar to LXC and LWJ. LQR was very devoted to the rules, so he had a pretty difficult personality and didn't have much friends. QHJ was more easygoing and nice. Yet he was more restrained and calm than LXC. And although he tried to get LQR more of the friends his age, he didn't always succeed. We also have no age gap between them, so I hc that it's 3 years.

Sometimes, when QHJ was 18-19, he met Madam Lan and fell in love at the first time. LQR initially didn't have anything against her. They even met at some point. QHJ was head over heels for her, but she saw him as more of a friend. Her and second master Lan were on good terms and sometimes talked for hours about music cultivation ect. They even considered each other friends.

LQR and QHJ had one teacher. I didn't think much about him, but let's just say he had his secrets. While he was nice to his students and they respected him, he had a beef or mb just somehow mistreated Madame Lan's family. He did something that forever left her family in the shadows. Madame Lan's family was shunned for a long time. Ofc ML hated this teacher's guts. It was never her intention to use QHJ's affection to avenge her family, cuz she wasn't that kind of a person to be so cruel. But when she found out, she started to carefully plan her revenge. The pg Lan Bros actually didn't know about teacher's secrets and had no idea about what was going to happen.

Since MXTX loves stuff going downhill during or after someone's 17th b'day, I imagine this whole drama happened right after LQR'S 17th birthday. A few days later their teacher was killed and ML was gone. QHJ went looking for her immediately, kind of leaving shocked and grieving brother behind. Once his brother was gone for a few days with his presumed friend, the Lan elders went on a search and found QHJ and ML in wedding gowns. As stated form canon, QHJ decided to save his love by marrying her and declaring, that if anyone wants to hurt her, they'll have to go through him. Elders were completely unimpressed, but they couldn't do anything because a) QHJ was already a clan leader at this point; b) the wedding already happened. Before this QHJ had never broken any rule, especially not as serious as this.

Due to the conflict of marrying his teacher's killer, QHJ decides to go into seclusion and lock ML with him. He orders the houses to be built on the neighboring mountain, but before he locked himself in his own room.

At this point LQR had his world turned upside down two times: firstly, his friend killed a teacher, who (in his opinion) did nothing wrong, secondly his brother disappeared and came back married to culprit. And he tried to talk to his brother, but before he could discuss anything, his bro is already secluded in his own room. When he found out that his brother is going to seclusion and doesn't plan on ruling the clan, it broke the camel's back. LQR was also very devoted to the rules and never broke them, but this day, merely a week after his birthday, he went of the rails. He asked to see his brother, loudly knocked on his door, desperately trying to talk with him. Even when the elders started to scold him and get him away from the door, LQR escaped their grip and continued to act "inappropriately" (Being rightfully upset and wanting to get some answers). Sadly, QHJ never let LQR in, despite all of the pleadings, for he believed he doesn't deserve to speak with anyone.

LQR receives his first ever serious punishment and is shamed for his "indecent" Behavior. He gets beaten with those wooden sticks pretty hard and is locked up in a room to rewrite the rules 200 times. At this point, LQR is literally broken. Two of his dearest friends abandoned him with a whole lot of new responsibilities and unanswered questions. His dreams were also shattered. He liked to teach and explore different clans, regions.

LQR never got the chance to speak with QHJ, cuz very soon his bro left to the seclusion with ML. I want to believe in good in this world, so QHJ never forced ML to have children with him, yet they had to produce the heirs. So a year or two after the whole ordeal, LXC is born. At this point LQR is still very young and totally exhausted due to the clan leader duties, and he wasn't really excited to get another brother's problem on him. LQR grew resentful of his brother and ML, he became pretty jaded and closed, disliked troublemakers. Tho, when he first held little LXC in his arms, he was smitten. He vowed to raise him properly and help him live a happy life of a clan leader. When LWJ came to the picture, LQR promised to teach them both to be good people and to never let them become what he and his brother became. To never let LWJ get all of his brothers problems and deal with them with no help. Ofc his methods were far from good and he was sometimes emotionally unavailable, he loved them very much.

!!! SPOILERS BELOW !!!

i don't like to get into all the bts drama and stuff that is going on on set, but it is very apparent that it weaseled its way into the show. i was never a huge jj/kiara shipper, but i did sort of get it in the earlier seasons. after this season, i feel like there was no chemistry between them at all, which is very unfortunate. either way, i know that rudy/jj was going to be leaving the show, but it was really hard for me to feel super bad when this entire season he was just completely off the rails and doing dumb shit. don't get me wrong, i think he's an important character and he's fun, but it was so much to the point that i was genuinely pissed off of him at times and felt almost out of character.

groff was evil like crazy fucking evil. there were so many parallels between groff/jj and ward/rafe, which i really wish they would've explored them, but alas, we know how that ended....

also, whenever they said groff i only thought of my number one man jonathan groff (aka special agent holden ford aka jesse st james aka kristoff aka king george iii) and kept laughing. should've named jj jonathan after his legendary bohemian rhapsody performance.

ok so i actually didn't mind sarah being pregnant, i think it added some stakes to the show and a reason for her and rafe to make amends, which leads me to my next point...

the scene where rafe and sarah sort of "made up" was probably the best scene this entire season. i think it would be interesting to explore their relationship, especially with sarah pregnant.

i felt like rafe was a bit too soft the first half of the season, but once he figured out he got screwed over, i think he really returned to form lmao. i'm still surprised he didn't die, considering after he lost sofia he really didn't have anything going for him and drew is probably gonna pop tf off in the near future, which makes me curious as to how tf they're gonna get him in the next season.

i love pope so much and am a #1 pope defender. if that boy doesn't get to go to fucking medical school and do whatever his little heart desires, i will riot. am i mad at him for getting arrested and running away? yes. has he ever done anything wrong? ofc not that's my boy.

the one-shot of JJ in the courtroom was fucking awesome. im a big daredevil fan, so i love that shit lol. also loved a lot of the older music choices for this season.

overall, i think this season is on the same level or slightly better than season 3. the first half/the half in OBX was definitely stronger (as it was for season 3), but i think the more realistic ending was a bit better. regardless, i don't like that jj died, but i know that there wasn't really any choosing that. i think the final two seasons being like pt 1 and 2 (similar to stranger things) was an interesting call to say the least, but i truly don't know what they're going to do story wise without jj and likely without much rafe.

Since that night I went off on my mom, which I didn't fully remember, I've been avoiding any type of conversations about that whole day. I think everyone knew it too so no one ever brought it up.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I ask Bam hearing our mother start to scream. I see he was bashing through the side of the door to make a draw bridge. "And I still couldn't stay out late?" I mumble to myself going back upstairs.

"Anna!" I hear Ryan start to rush after me.

"Leave me alone." I groan shutting my door on him.

"I can open it still... What did you do to your wall?" He sees all the holes.

"That bat plus a not so sober me pissed off equals that." I point at the bat, me, and the wall. "And before you speak... No, I don't wanna talk about it."

"I heard everything you said. I followed you in. She really got on you for doing what we did growing up? The videos and everything?"

"Yes. She wanted me to be the clean cut one out of her kids. Wanted me to get good grades in school, go to college so I could get good paying job. Maybe find a good clean cut guy who knows what he wants to do with his life. Then my dad wanted this perfect princess daughter. When I was super young, I loved Disney princess and he said I could be just like them. I started doing chores at six years old thinking I was a princess. Then Beauty and the Beast came out when I was 12. She became my favorite and I wanted to be like her so that's when I started reading. Growing up I of course realized I wasn't some princess and if I was one I was Cinderella. So when I got to hangout with you and Bam, it felt nice just having fun. But I got chewed out because I wasn't supposed to be doing that. I was supposed to be doing girl things."

"I'm sorry I never noticed." Ryan gives me a sad pout.

"That's right Bam. I completely forgot. They're gonna bring all that crap up again." Mom tells him.

"If they do, I'll shut it down quickly." He says so I leave the room listening to them bicker.

When my mom comes into the living room she looks over at me sighing, "I'm sorry Anna. For everything. When you said I was one of the reasons you left really hurt me and made me realize I hurt you." She tears up. "I just wanted my little girl to be perfect." She wipes her tears away making me tear up.

I walk over giving her a hug, "I love you."

Bam asks me to go with him and dad to go get Mum mum so I go but when they go inside I wait in the vehicle. She was one of many family members who gave me hell for the lies I apparently did.

"I didn't hear you were back." She says as she get in.

"She got back a few months ago." Bam tells her. "Do you still not say the f word?" Bam asks her.

"No, I don't say the F word."

"What about the S word?" He asks.

"What shit?" She makes us chuckle.

"Is anybody left in your will? Jesse is right?" Dad asks her.

When we get back home I get out annoyed going straight to my mom. "Mum mum already brought it up because dad was talking about whose in her will." I tell her making her sigh.

"Hopefully no one else brings up that topic." She rubs my back.

"Hopefully no one tries talking to me." I give her a small smile.

When the whole family shows up I sit away from everyone and just read a book hoping to be left alone. When the crew got back with the food they make a big entrance with an elephant and dressed up. I watch mom freak out about the elephant trying to go in the house.

"What do you want Dunn?" I ask as he stand in front of me with an animal head on wearing wings too.

"How do you know it's me?" He asks not moving.

"Your tattoos give you away." I laugh at him so he takes his head off.

"Why you alone like you've been disowned?" He looks at everyone sitting together.

"Because I basically am. Majority of the people here believed in the lies and I don't want to talk about it with them. I already went through it with Mum mum." I close my book as he squats down in front of me holding on to my knees.

"I'll eat with you so you aren't alone. Come on, let's get food." He pulls me up dragging me over to eat. He grabs a big piece and just pulls the meat off to eat. "Open wide." He tries feeding me.

"Dunn..." I move my head away.

"Come on, you gotta eat." He smiles moving the meat towards my face again so I open my mouth and take it. "Good girl." He laughs.

"But you love me." He smiles bigger and I stop going to get my own food then go sit alone again.

After eating I pull out my phone and listen to the voicemail I refuse to respond too. When it starts to get wild because of Vito making Mum mum fed up and leaves.

"Does it? I can't tell." He takes it off of me smelling it.

"Because you stink." I laugh at him.

"I took a shower." He looks offended.

"When months ago?" I say making him hit me.

"You know one of the rumors was she cheated on Austin with him... Bam's best friend. I believe that look at them." I head someone from mom's side of the family say as they pass us.

"Annabelle, how was Ireland?" One of my cousins walk up to us.

"Good."

"I bet you had fun with the boys there." She giggles walking away.

"Okay, I'm done get the fuck off me." I shove Ryan off me so I could go to my room. As I pass my cousin she calls me a slut so I turn around to punch her but Ryan runs over wrapping his arms around me.

Been binge reading all the warprize AU posts rotating slut Hob in my head before I got giggly thinking about them meeting Shaxbeard in this universe.

The king tolerates few and favours fewer, topmost of them all being Hob ofc, and while Dream is a powerful and stern King who rules with an iron fist, his kingdom is prosperous. Schools and a certain level of education is mandatory for all children, and both art and artists thrive within the capitol.

Im thinking about a twist 1589 scene where Dream takes them to watch some kinda play, maybe one of Marlowe's and Hob enjoys himself, sure. The flamboyance and the drama are immensely entertaining and he loves a good story. But what sours the experience was when Dream insists on meeting the screenwriters and actors afterwords (Jessamy explains that Dream has a soft spot for screenwriters and new, passionate actors) and was just. COMPLETELY enamoured by Shakespeare. (Not really, but Dream paid one WHOLE MINUTE of his attention on someone else besides Hob. Even when Hob was trying to call him!) At one point Hob was even SHUSHED. AND NOT EVEN FOR FUN. HE TURNED BACK TO FACE SHAKESPEARE. After a moment of stunned silence Hob's expression grew so angry and thunderous at the new fucking twink upstart the table's cupbearer-who was approaching the table to top up the wine-froze and shuffled hurriedly backwards. He looked so PISSED that for a moment you couldn't tell WHO possessed WHOM.

Hob can't just kill him. The King likes him too much. He never liked all the people Hob's killed before as much as he seemed to like Shakespeare, but that won't stop him from making Shakespeare's life living HELL

I'm obsessed with how you've put this tho... Hob getting hushed by Dream one (1) time and being so incredibly upset and offended?? This is amazing. I can see it SO clearly. Shakespeare is just trying to live his life and write some good plays, and he's not even aware that he's caused trouble in paradise until he catches Hob’s eye and oh my god, if looks could kill Shakespeare would be dead on the floor. He doesn't know what he did to upset the King's favourite pet but he's kind of terrified now. Hob is still the big muscular soldier he once was, and under his silky skimpy clothes there's a VERY large knife strapped to his thigh. Shakespeare felt it when Hob deliberately pushed past him to get away.

Later on Hob is in such a mood, Dream has never seen him be such a brat before. He's utterly clueless as to what's caused his pet's bad behaviour, but he finds himself quite enjoying Hob’s pouts and rude little quips. If nothing else it's a good excuse to take the brat over his knee and spank the truth out of him.

When Hob admits to being jealous, you can bet that Dream has a hearty laugh about it. He can't help finding it hilarious that his beloved little "prisoner" is so possessive over him. Hob gets a direct order not to hurt Shakespeare, but he also gets the assurance that he is Dream’s favourite and nothing is going to change that.

(That doesn't mean he stops glaring at the twinky playwright and leaving him in fear for his life. Hob’s gotta have some fun.)

Radhya: likes ghazals, lofi music, meera ke bhajan, secretly watches romantic movies (especially tragedies) and cries in her room, Manmeet finds her and Radhya would expect that she'd laugh at her but she'd just kiss her tears away, Radhya would push her away at that but secretly blush so hard, she lives in Manmeet's colony who secretly follows her everywhere, especially on shopping (even for the grocery) "WHAT are YOU doing here?" Radhya takes her to the side on the street, whispering urgently.

"Wouldn't you like me by your side always? Am I not good company?? :(" Manmeet with puppy eyes and sniffs "Ok.. if you don't want me then I will go-"

Radhya catches her wrist, looks away, then at her and sighs "It's- it's not that. It's just-"

Manmeet smiles, twisting her trapped wrist softly and wrapping its fingers around Radhya's and asks in the most innocent voice "Then what is it? Just say it hehe!"

Radhya groans, looks away and scratches her neck "Fine, you're fine."

Manmeet blinks her eyes "I couldn't hear that.. what?"

"I DO LIKE YOU."

Manmeet jumps and shrieks. Radhya going red and holding her down "Shh, what ARE YOU DOING NOW? Everyone will look at you, fool."

"LET THEM! LET THE WORLD KNOW YOU LOVE ME WOOHOOO!," Manmeet gets out of her hold "I am a fool but I'm a fool for YOUUU."

Radhya facepalms, secretly smiling.

At night, Manmeet slips by to kiss her goodnight and Radhya would be tired. She yawns and Manmeet grins "Long day?", coming to her while rubbing something in her palms "Champi time!"

Radhya would get her head and shoulder massaged and yawn again.

"You should sleep."

"Yes, I'm exhausted but I'm unable to fall asleep for some reason." Radhya grumbles and then looks over at Manmeet, smiling faintly "Kuch sunaa do?"

Manmeet beams "KYU NAHI-" clearing her throat. Suddenly, Radhya would settle herself on Manmeet's lap and close her eyes - making Manmeet blush this time before continuing. She'd hum at first building a light, dreamy tune and it'd take everything for Radhya not to dance even though the rhythm was so slow so she'd instead tap her fingers against Manmeet's thighs along with the tune, making Manmeet's breath catch and making it difficult to even begin singing now so she'd take out her flute and start playing it. Within a minute, Radhya stills into a rhythmic composure, her head buried deep and face completely hidden away in Manmeet's lap, snoring lightly. Manmeet smiles at that and kisses her forehead, pulling up the blankets on her and turning off the lights

With Vaidarbhi: loves art and poetry, analyzes controversial cinema and drama and is a sucker for old school romance, comfort movie is Shahid and Amrita's Vivah, writes secret love letters to Manmeet but delivers it herself by saying

"My brother sent this for you."

Manmeet smiles, nodding and opening it "I confess I do have an effect on people but I'm not sure your brother is one of them."

Vaidarbhi nods back, looking at the ground, turning around to leave.

"Vaidu!" Manmeet calls out

Vaidarbhi's heart skips a beat as she turns around in an instant

"Just wanna say that.. never be afraid of anything, sweetheart. I'm always with you." Manmeet winks

On the day she was getting forcibly married, her heart echoed back these words of the love of her life to her and she wrote a final love letter, revealing her true identity at last.

On the mandap just as she was taking the last phera, someone whistles loudly and calles out her name. Vaidarbhi immediately recognizes the voice and makes a run for it. Suddenly, the groom stands up and horror etches itself on Vaidarbhi. But he tears down his disguise to reveal Halveer, Manmeet's brother. "GO! I'LL TAKE CARE OF THEM." as he plunges into the crowd going wild around them.

Manmeet revs the engine of her bike as Vaidarbhi jumps on the seat behind her, crying happily and clutching her waist tightly from behind.

With Parth: he loves sports, Shreya Ghoshal and old Bollywood, meets with Manmeet regularly in the gym.

"Nice to see you here! But Mann.. you don't gym?" Parth shakes his head, his hair wet with sweat swaying in the process

"I come here for you, handsome." Manmeet whispers in his ears and giggles, knocking Parth out of his senses and freezing him as usual.

She pulls his cheeks aggressively and tightens her grip on his shoulder, trickling her hand downwards and squeezing his biceps. "Do pushups."

its kinda hard to say how looh was supposed to end because i kinda write smaus on the go without indepth storylines lol (i.e. basically i bullshit on the go and fake it til i make it)

fair warning also that ive forgotten almost all of looh by this point... i used to have a notebook with my ideas for the smau but i lost it during my last move so this is what i can remember. apologies if there are inconsistencies but i genuinely dont remember LMAOOO its been (8)4 years...

i can give you an idea of how i was thinking of ending looh... under the cut for the sake of people who dont give af lol

i do know for a fact that i planned jimin and y/n to be endgame. it was going to be a long process of "will they or wont they" because of jimins underlying insecurities and y/n's inability to introspect would always be a hindrance in their relationship

i know i framed y/n as like a "really good person" but she really isnt perfect. i was gonna lay more groundwork to "expose" her for some of the fucked up shit she did in the past (i forgor 💀) and i was planning on exploring her internalized "holier than thou" complex

that was gonna be the second main conflict after the whole jimin vs tae conflict... kinda like a season 2 lol

BUT BACK TO SEASON 1... tae vs jimin lol so yeah tae releases that slander video on jimin and he runs away... y/n is supposed to have a big altercation with jin and make him release a statement proving jimin's innocence... jin ofc says no and y/n + jimin (+kook on the side) have to figure out a way to improve jimin's public image

my initial idea was that he tries to pivot towards becoming a professional dancer and joining hoseok's crew... i was planning on introducing a new character (likely seungkwan haha gotta keep with the seventeen member cameos) who was gonna be like a PR manager... they'd make a youtube channel and post content about their dancers. not just their dances, but interviews, challenges, etc. just to "prove" jimin is the good guy or something.

on the side, the seungcheol/jeonghan/yoongi drama... yeah seungcheol gets dumped by y/n like an additional two times LOL and for funsies, jeonghan confesses his feelings for seungcheol to y/n (shocker) and its all very messy mwahahah (yeah they both end up sad in the end my bad). as for yoongi... OH BOY

so yeah he got rejected by y/n which RUINS his ego and he doesnt give up for a while. then he starts crushing on seungcheol (who previously had a crush on him lol) and it gets very messy but overall he gets called out on his power tripping ways and ends up alone at the end teehee (he was gonna get an epilogue scene where he goes to the club all drunk and shit and a younger guy hits on him but calls him "sir" after seeing his face properly lol)

as for jin/hoseok/namjoon... uhhh yeah 2seok dont end up strictly together... theyre both chaebols with fucked up senses of humor (they both enjoy playing with people like chess pieces) and jin gets super pissed when he finds out hoseok has been playing with HIM on the side. they have a heated argument that causes the collapse of bang ent (hoseok has more money/influence than him and essentially grabs the company off jin's hands) and BOOM friends to lovers to enemies to ???

oh and namjoon is there. uhhhh yeah he becomes jin's little puppet for a while. essentially namjoon spies on y/n for jin and breaks her trust. this further strains kook's mental state because he feels super guilty about everything. i was planning on kook being pro-joon and breaking y/n's heart, but i wasnt sure. it all depends on how i was feeling tbh LMAOOO sometimes i like making jungkook cry (all the time)

as for tae... yeah he wins LOL he's essentially the main antagonist (its not jin... surprise) but he actually succeeds in becoming a very popular pornstar. even when hoseok grabs the company, he keeps tae on their roster and tae becomes very rich. he continues trying to slander jimin but he eventually stops when hoseok forces him to stop (out of guilt? bribery? revenge? who knows lol)

umm back to jimin and y/n... yeah they get together blah blah y/n confesses first, jimin gets hurt a lot, y/n is bad at relationships (shes got bad interpersonal skills), they have a large argument where y/n accidentally dehumanizes jimin (ouch)... so many things. all that matters is that they do end up together... maybe not so happily, but they'll get there. i think.

SO YEAH THAT WAS SO MESSY idk how coherent this was... again like i said, i kinda write smaus on the go so a lot of these things arent necessarily canon. i only consider things canon when stuff gets posted, but again like u said thats probs never happening LOL but in the meantime, if u have more questions about any of the points listed above, lemme know!! i'll try my best to explain further (sobs i am so rusty at writing u dont even know) anyway blessings be upon ye!!

fantastically drawn and written, with some of the most stunning, atmospheric artwork i've seen around. i especially love how the author illustrates movement-- they really capture the fluidity and grace of the sport

Haikyuu (volleyball; completed)

my personal favorite manga of all time LOL it has taught me a lot about life (no joke) and every match is filled with laughter, tension, suspense and stunning imagery! the characters are beyond lovable and i find it really hard to find anyone i truly dislike in this series. not to mention furudate-sensei's paneling in some of the later chapters kind of goes nuts HAHA it elevates the storytelling to such a degree that it gives me the SHIVERSSS

Ao ashi (soccer; ongoing)

this is a lesser known work, but the writing is fantastic and really keeps you on your toes! the overall atmosphere does tend to lean darker and more dramatic though, and the author doesn't shy away from beating his characters to the ground so they can rise again. if that sounds good to you, i would wholeheartedly recommend this manga!!

Shiori experience (ongoing)

this is a story about music, and the artist is a master at depicting the impact of sound in a silent medium such as comics!! truly outstanding work, and they took the time to give each member of the main band a fantastic character arc too.

Cocoon entwined (completed)

my favorite yuri manga ever...it has some of the most beautiful inkwork and paneling, to the point where i find it difficult to look away !!! RAGH!! the overall atmosphere is incredibly calm and serene... if i'm not thinking about blorbos i am probably thinking about this manga (i am super downbad)

and now just some super quick mentions! if you want...

-> a heartwarming story about a pottery maker team, try "ao no hana utsuwa no mori"

-> something casual about food bringing a couple together, try "how to grill our love"

good ep as usual, despite being basically all exposition it was still fun finally hearing how everyone in the union sounds and is characterized, and also getting to see some early foreshadowing that makes a lot more sense nowadays 👀 also the shaft style with all the fast cuts and their signature angles is really fitting for episodes like this so that helps too which I do gotta say, despite being a sakuga slut (and the previous episode being crazy) my favourite thing about the anime so far has been that shaft style, since I didn't know beforehand about the involvment of their staff, it gives it a really different feel from the manga but it's still very good in it's own, shafty, way

good episode like usual, I thought this ep would be all preparation and the event itself would be the next one but it was half and half, which is good, not really wasting too much time. we also got to see tsumugi and kaori so that was fun too. next episode looks like there's gonna be some drama with poor shizuka so good luck to her

that's all I should say about it. it really doesn't deserve anything else, but I won't be like that. I already knew the author's previous work takopii was needlessly edgy too but since I hadn't read it I didn't let that sway me and started this anyway. I can tell you that I'll never read anything by taizan, be it in WSJ or not. ofc it's not actually a 1, it's more like a 3, but I hated it so much I couldn't give it anything higher than that. from start to finish it was bad. none of the characters were likeable, the plot was confusing and hard to follow with it constantly switching between the "dream" and reality, every family member's plotline wasn't interesting and just an excuse to have more edgy things happen and at the end of the day it ends with "well despite everything that happened nothing changed and we're all still the same" so it was just a complete waste of time. it's sad we live in a world where something like this can get almost 50 chaps but series that are brimming with potential get cut short, and even in that short time are better than this could ever be. "oh if you hated it so much why didn't you drop it then?" simply put, I didn't ever think it'd last too long, and by the point where it had been going for a while I was like "well might as well see where this trainwreck ends up at" like I did for agk anyway. good riddance and see you never again taizan

Okay, let me talk about PokeDigiBey high school shenanigans because why not?

Kai is the oldest, so he's one year above the core gang, while Ash and Misty are one year below. Depending on the flow of the story I'm imagining, I shuffle Mimi being in the same year as the core gang or Ash and Misty, but most of the time she ends up with the former. Core gang includes Tyson, Hilary, Yamato, Taichi, Sora and Charlie (OC).

Tyson and Ash are in the baseball club together, though Tyson is not the Captain (even though he should have been but since Hiro is the Coach there's a lot of drama involved.) Taichi is obviously the Captain of the Soccer Club and Sora is their Coach (there's a whole story here), Kai is the Student Council President in his final year, after he graduates Hilary becomes the President. Mimi is the Captain of the Cheerleading Club, which includes Misty and many other Pokegirls (and her Vice Captain is ofc Dawn who also idolises Mimi). Misty is also a part of the Swim Club, and the regional Freestyle Champion.

A recurring plot line in most of my high school au scenarios is that when Kai moves out of town, he and Charlie decide to take a break in their relationship. Actually, Kai decides that and when he talks to Charlie about it, she wants to hide her vulnerability and doesn't want to come off as being too needy, so she agrees to the split even though deep down she believes that the two could pull off long distance (which isn't exactly long distance since Kai does mostly come home on weekends) if they tried. This was inspired by the song Why by Avril Lavigne. ( Fair warning but every single thing about my OC is inspired by Avril Lavigne's discography.)

With Tyson and Hilary, there are of course a billion scenarios, but two of the most common plot lines I follow are:

A) they're secretly sleeping with each other with a no strings kind of set up - Hilary is somewhat the poster girl for honour student, she's always under the spotlight which doesn't make it easy for her to date since most of the time it's difficult for her to gauge whether the person asking her out is interested in her, or the attention that comes with dating her. Tyson plays baseball under the tutelage of Hiro (who because of an injury couldn't progress his own career) but also practices kendo & shogi on the side because Ryu is afraid that their family traditions will die out. So he's too busy pleasing all his family members and their ambitions to even breathe, let alone date. Which is why the only sex, no feelings set up works very well for Tyson and Hilary UNTIL OF COURSE THEY CATCH INTENSE FEELINGS haha and then don't know how to backtrack to the beginning of their relationship and date each other properly which just leads to misunderstandings + unresolved feelings + angsty arguments.

B) Both are waiting for the other person to make a move - with their friend circles interacting so closely, it's impossible for them to avoid each other, so they both know that the spark exists between them. But when Hilary works up the courage and low-key confesses to Tyson in middle school, he isn't ready yet to accept how he feels and freaks out, turning her down by calling her "high maintenance". After which Hilary tries to stay as far away from him as possible, deciding that until Tyson doesn't flat out ask her out, she's not going to give him any attention. Meanwhile, Tyson thinks that since he hurt Hilary's feelings in the past, she doesn't want anything to do with him and tries his best to keep his distance from her (which Hilary thinks is him being completely disinterested towards her). So they kind of drift apart during high school, and only get a chance to interact again when they coincidentally sign up for the same elective class in college where they are - you guessed it - made partners for an assignment.

And originally this post was supposed to have snippets about each of the ships, but as you can see my TyHil heart doesn't know how to put a full stop when I start talking about them, so for now this is it 🥸

with all due respect, this is not specifically against you, but how many times are we going into this phase of "Jimin and Jungkook are distant"/"they’re not as close as they use to be"? I’ve seen this so. many. times. and then something drops and they still as close as usual... only international armys are making all sorts of theories about them not being friends or a couple anymore, i lurk on k-kookminers and the atmosphere is different. If you changed your mind about them it’s perfectly fine but why does it always end up in criticizing a member of the ship? For some it’s JK who’s not behaving like the passionate lover they would like him to be- I never understand the arguments against him, maybe coz he is the member I relate to the most. like some see him as completely whipped for JM but some think he’s cold or not demonstrative enough, how come?. Same for the way some ppl perceive Jimin as completely love sick and clingy and others think he’s giving up on JK.it’s just so weird. Everybody is seeing things with their own standards and what they’re waiting for in a relationship. I wish more of us could learn and understand Korean (i’m just at an intermediate level but stil)- there are dramas in the k side as well but for the most part it seems way more peaceful and k armys and kookminers trust the members and JM and JK. idk I just find it sad how it’s all about overthinking and constant speculation around the maknae line behavior since last June.. I can’t wait for Jimin to drop his music, at least it may bring some fun. again this isn’t specifically against you and I hope I’m not being too harsh but it makes me sad to see some armys criticizing the members just for a ship :/

The "phase" never went away because many things that have been questioned aren't answered to yet. It doesn't need to be answered too. It kinda gives the space to bloggers like me to have discussions. I get your point though. In general, there's a lot of fluctuations in the jikook spaces. One of many things that inspired me to open this blog. Irrespective of that, my thoughts doesn't come out of personal hatred. My funda is simple here, if I love them I will also point out the areas they need to work on. (As if they read and care about my blog 🤣). Here's to hoping that the people show criticism in a better way than sheer cut hatred and malicious language.

Dunmeshi doesn't shy away from showing how these attitudes can affect Laois BUT the solution is never to literally change the way his brain works. people do correctly identify that laios is autistic fairly often but a lot of the reasoning begins and ends with his special interest and social difficulties, but honestly it goes far deeper into the build of his character than just those two things

his pain tolerance is wildly inconsistent, unable to tolerate a drop of hot oil (or any heat) but able to shrug off both his leg being bitten off and it being reattached

hes sensory seeking in the extreme. he rubs the bat bones against his face, pets and fluffs the shapeshifter tail.

his desire to eat monsters comes from three very autistic places. 1) the rules for why monsters are not okay to eat but animals are are arbitrary to him so he cannot follow them easily: he cannot understand the 'feelings' argument others make. 2) this too is a sensory seeking behavior. he wants to experience these new things, new flavors and new textures. 3) it completes his knowledge of the monster in question to also have data on its edibility. because he cannot draw that arbitrary line around all monsters, he wants to evaluate them case-by-case and see if real patterns emerge. butchering and eating the monsters improves his knowledge of them greatly and highlights their importance in their ecosystem, as well as making him a part of that same ecosystem

he cannot emote the way others expect him to. he compartmentalizes his feelings (to an unhealthy degree) because he needs a pragmatic solution. so as long as there is a problem to solve, that matters far more than evaluating his emotions and allowing himself to experience them. while this is also a coping mechanism for ptsd, it is a trait found in many autistic people regardless of trauma, as we have trouble sorting the feelings we have and often need time to think about what we feel, so it becomes easier to simply not do it and pretend we dont need to. laios emotions certainly affect him, with or without his processing them, but others do not see what they expect to see and thus dismiss that he is feeling what they would feel

he is incredibly gifted with pattern recognition, observation, and analysis within realms he understands. to understand subjects that dont come easily to him, he must filter them through his established schema (his special interest--this is why they are so special! they help us sort the world). when he isnt sure about the social cues and details hes observed in the shapeshifter arc, he filters it through the lens he understands best: monsters. he was making correct observations about his friends all along, but he could not be confident in that the way he was about their behavior when it came to his interest (chilchucks caution, senshis passions, and marcilles carelessness)

30-32 were also a lot. I'm not sure I have much commentary because what happens in those kind of speaks for itself.

I mean, there were a lot of "holy fucks" uttered, the monkey-catching robot from the shadow chorus reappeared, and more saucers dropped, but none of that was really what sticks in the mind!

I guess one question I have is about the apple and a seemingly out-of-it Kanae. I suppose Akio would be doing shady shit to her too in addition to Anthy. And Utena. And potentially Wakaba. And whatever was going on with Tokiko. And with Kanae's mom.

Honestly the thing with Tokiko was probably the least inherently fucked-up of all of those because all but two of them are fucking high schoolers, and I think fucking your fiancee's very married mom is a bit more messed-up than making out with someone who is merely in a relationship.

Marinette was. She was immediately all over him, like everyone else in the world disappeared and it was just him left. Adrien... well, he was exclusive, until he wasn't. She put a spell on him the moment he saw her and talked to her for the first time, it was instant, and intense. BUT, at some point when Mari started feeling paranoid and became controlling, he was like "fuck it, it's not like we're together anyway, I can do whatever I want", aaaaand he went and slept with two girls somewhere in the meantime. Yeah, ouch. She didn't know, until she did. Well, he told her about it during one of their fights. This was one of their last fights before the massive breakup, Marinette became even more paranoid and toxic than before, telling him all the time to leave her and "go to his bitches" or whatever, but he didn't want to leave. He was mean to her, and very hurtful, but he was so intoxicated by her - still, after all of this - that he couldn't possibly walk away. And then one day she "broke up" with him, like I said before.

I partly answered this question in the paragraph above, but I'm gonna say it again - Marinette completely took over him with how attractive she was, both physically and mentally. He liked spending time with her, talking with her, and doing OTHER things obviously. They had a weird connection, something that didn't happen to them before, and they were intoxicated with each other. Since the beginning, she's been both a mystery and a forbidden fruit to him, and this is why he couldn't ever say no to her. But he never even thought about it being love.

Yes, Marinette can lose control completely when she's scared and angry, and it happened a couple of times that she started hitting his chest with her fists or slapping his forearms, yelling how much she hates him and that he should just leave her like everyone else, because he clearly wants that and he doesn't give a fuck about her. But because he's much stronger - and bigger - than her, he would always catch at her wrists and stop her. He hates it whenever she's doing it because while he doesn't mind physical touch in general (except for some intimate gestures...), he gets furious when something like this happens. When it happened for the first time, he was genuinely shocked, he would never expect her (or any other woman) to raise her hand against him. Later he kinda learned how to deal with it, and although still super angry at her, he would just stop her by holding her arms still. Their conversations would look like that, more or less:

A: Don't do this ever again. (he would stare at her with cold and angry eyes, and she would soften up immediately, and start crying and shaking)

M: I-I'm sorry, oh my God I'm so sorry, please forgive me. Please, I didn't mean to... I love you, please don't go, please.

A: No, stop with this bullshit, Marinette. I don't want to hear any of this.

M: Adrien, I'm so sorry, please don't be mad, please... Are you mad at me? You must be... You hate me, right? You hate me... God, I'm so sorry-

Aaaaand the last one - so Marinette started posting some of her singing videos in social media, she was also singing in cafes and restaurants, even organised a small concert for a group of people (friends, family, friends of those friends, random people, basically anyone could come and listen to her). Then at some point a producer from Dead Oceans became interested in her, and offered her a contract. She then released "Liquid Smooth" which became an instant hit song, and just like that she got famous af.

Exitium is not that much of a popular band, and Adrien never wanted to be super popular either. It all began with Luka who was already friends with some musicians when he was young (he played the guitar and was interested in heavy music since childhood), and when he decided to start a band with Adrien, he got their help. They played some small concerts in bars and pubs around Stockholm, and at some point went to some less famous producer with their debut album.
