The big project for this year's scuffle.... An Anastasia AU featuring @meltypancake's OC Eliane, with cameos from other scuffle OCs!

Many thanks to Sushi, Yully, Bucket, Ria, Nova, Kikiji, Dash, Mai and Barbie for their amazing OCs. I tried to stick to the general vibe of 1910s era fashions, but played around with hair and patterns and colours a bit ;w;b

Those stairs are a nightmare and I never want to draw them ever again SOBS

i had this in my inbox bc i was pondering how to answer this AHAHAHA this one goes to my fellow dimitree luvr 😌👍but if i had to describe my art style for dimie, i always draw him impossibly Wide with a super pillowy chest 🧎🧎🧎 and the tiniest waist (it is meant to be held)🧎 . his dorito form will be my legacy

🧠 What is a drawing tool you can't live without?

it's this free program called pureref!! i've already raved about this to you but i am always happy to praise it again 🫶 it's super useful for gathering a bunch of refs in one place and saving them for later :] i always have a ref board open while drawing too!! 😌

🍄 What is something you should have focused on more when you first started, and now pay more attention to?

ohhh... pondered this for a bit and i... i guess nothing, really? AHHAHA i feel like my past self ended up learning the necessary skills whenever they were ready for them! stuff like accepting mistakes, prioritizing process over result, finding the fun in studies- it takes time and effort, and they did their best at the time. so all in all, i'm just glad my past self discovered art and i don't fault them for anything they did or didn't do 🕺🪩💃 we live and we learn!

🦑 How did you design your OC?

eliane used to be a mage, for a very brief period AHAHAH (this ref sheet is from june 2023)

this is before i had rly figured out her backstory + goals 🫨 once i knew i wanted her to become a traveler, wyvern rider seemed more fitting 🏃 !! so now she's a fully armored lady, accompanied by a prideful and grumpy wyvern friend 😌🫶

on a darker note, an apothecary's daughter taking lives on the battlefield by driving a huge axe into enemies felt somewhat ironic, and very direct (unlike magic), and i was strangely drawn to that...

when i learn how to draw wyverns !! i would love to show off their interactions more🧎🧎it's a goal for the future!
