Yeah so I, master procrastinator, colored these earlier to avoid coloring something else (which I colored after lmao) so, here's the drawings from this post (you know... From this morning) in color!!!

Info dump about Atlas? Please? Please? Please? (Also, additionally, does Atlas just wear Jekyll's clothes or does he have a specific outfit you imagine for them :0 (for no reason, of course *insert innocent angel meme*))

HIIIII, OF COURSE 🙏 I'm always happy to ramble about my sillies :3

So, Atlas at the beginning wasn't really a person. He was mostly just the name Jekyll and Hyde used as a disguise when they realised that they looked different, and that because of that no one recognised them. It was just a name for a disguise at the beginning, but then Atlas started gaining a personality and consciousness! And it started just developing more and more. And so with some time, it wasn't really Jekyll and/or Hyde controlling a body, it was someone else entirely. Both Jekyll and Hyde didn't realise this until too late.

Now I'm just going to throw a bunch of silly facts about him :3

Atlas uses He/They pronouns!! (Just because. Yes.)

They have a feeling of 'wrongness' around him. It makes people feel weird around hi, and usually causes everyone to not find him someone thrustworthy

Their eyes can change!!! The one that's not uncovered mostly stays the same (mixture of red and green, with a golden/yellow pupil) but the other one can change pretty drastically– It freaked people out so that's why it's covered up by their hair (and because it's too damn long)

Jekyll and Hyde choose his name (Jekyll choose the last name and Hyde the first name) and they didn't honestly give it too much thought ((There is thought put behind it from my part. Because Atlas is quite literally carrying on his shoulders both Jekyll and Hyde's worlds, because if they don't manage to reverse this, then both Jekyll and Hyde's worlds will be destroyed. Also he is seeking something)

While on this fusion, Jekyll is constantly overwhelmed, and Hyde is constantly underwhelmed. This sort of makes Atlas a very, very fragile balance between the two, and that can quickly change

Atlas can't sleep. They have too much energy to do so and just have to go and continue being awake until they literally crash

His nights are mostly spent pacing around and thinking, or just laying on the floor (or a bed) and just zoning out until it's morning again

Feelings on Lanyon are very complicated, mixed, and easy to change (Can go from either being totally in love with him, hating his guts, or just finding him annoying. Sometimes it's all three and more)

They tend to pick at his skin. Back when they didn't have a consciousness Hyde use to do that to feel a bit more 'alive' and less underwhelmed, Atlas just eventually kept doing the same

He usually tries to be nice, and more Jekyll-like to please people. But when that is not necessary, they will easily switch to being more Hyde-like, and then back to being more Jekyll-like. It takes a bit of time but they can also try to be a mix of both and reach a balance

Anyways, yes, there are some more but I'll leave it at that!! Thanks for asking me about them and letting me rant :3!!! Also here is Atlas (the one in the left with the darker eyes) Mind Lanyon and Harry (the one in the right) but as paper dolls

EHHHH! I still love the drawing you did for Anne-Marie, Quill! I love how she looks in your style, the fact she's carrying Zosimos (best guide dog in the world), not to mention the angel wings (which make me think this is in Jekyll's POV) Just, AHHHH! I'm still geeking out even a month later!

Also I love how you were able to tell a story in the backgrounds of your other pieces! Like dude, THE COLORS!

The two brothers(Wu and Garmadon)

The two saviours which saved the world from darkness (the Oni). They are the Ying and Yang, once they were the most worshipped Gods of Ninjago.

Life and it's Shadow.(Morro and Lloyd)

Lloyd is the bringer of life who nurtures both plants and animals. Many stories depict him as appearing after wars, plagues, or natural disasters, and it is said that seeing him will bring immense luck. He is somewhat naive and has fallen in love with many mortals, female, male and other. However, if someone attempts to deceive him to gain something, they must answer to his family. Morro, on the other hand, is the bringer of death and has the power to destroy plants and animals. He is often seen before wars, plagues, or natural disasters. While he can curse people with bad luck, there are rare instances where he can grant good luck or even a wish. Morro has only fallen in love with one mortal, but the stories rarely reveal details about her, offering only vague hints. Lloyd is the son of Garmadon, whereas Morro is the son of Wu. It has been suggested that they are not related by blood; however, they are often referred to as brothers.

To tempt the one who holds The Earth on his shoulders.(Kai and Cole)

The Horsemen of Fire, Kai, is a brash and egotistical god, primarily recognised for his playboy attitude. However, in some stories, it is suggested that this behaviour stems from his fear of abandonment. It is implied that once the two gods, Cole and Kai, fall out of love, the Earth and the Sun will no longer dance together in harmony. If you encounter Kai, it’s best not to be alone; while he doesn't cause harm, he is known to take people for periods ranging from a few hours to a few weeks. There are also instances where he gifts presents. He is one of the most widely worshipped gods; many women seek him for fertility wishes, though they can also turn to his sister, Nya. Meanwhile, most men approach him for help with romantic relationships. Cole, Kai's partner, is not as extensively covered in texts. He is often depicted in art as lifting the Earth on one shoulder while Kai sits on the other, holding the Sun in his palm. Nya stands on Kai's shoulder, balancing a scale on the tip of her finger while holding the Moon high in her other palm. Cole is believed to reward those who show appreciation for the Earth; as the Earth suffers, so too does Cole. The Earth God is known to have many pets, the most famous being a horse that can stomp rapidly, causing what we recognise as earthquakes.

Lily saying she bases her character’s orientation on their stance on relationships sounds fine on paper, but the way she thinks about it is completely backward. People’s sexuality tends to influence their stance on relationships. I think it’s okay when developing characters to think about their beliefs and personality before giving them a sexuality — that way their identity doesn’t become their personality. And people can discover things based on their growing understanding of relationships. But the way Lily describes it doesn’t sound like any of those. It seems like Niva made the conscious choice to be Aro/ace because of her relationship with her sister. She can realize she’s Aro/ace because she meets a lot of people and finds she’s simply not attracted to them in that way, and it’s entirely valid to not want to label oneself but this reads like she’s plugging her ears and closing her eyes to any other form of relationship outside that with her sister. Idk. It’s Lily. Obviously there’s some weird subtext here.

It’s also contradictory considering she says “people need to define themselves” when the way she describes Niva makes it seem like she’s defining herself based on her relationship with her sister. People can define themselves by any sort of relationship, not strictly romantic ones. People tend to define themselves based on their relationships, it’s not really possible to separate the two, it’s just how humans work.

On that note, I hate how Niva completely dismisses the romances of the previous Avatars. Like it or not romance is a part of their history and calling those relationships inferior is completely wrong. Katara, Rangi, Ta Min, Asami (Admittedly debatable), etc. are just as important to their Avatar’s stories as the Avatar themselves and you cannot simply write them off as “unimportant” or “inferior.”

Guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Lorch’s OC dismisses important elements of Lore history that she personally doesn’t like.

Absolutely, the way she described the process just seems... off. Though you really nailed it with the bit about Niva having her fingers in her ears. Even outside her relationships or lack thereof, she seems so sheltered and ignorant, which I know is not because Lily meant to write her like that.

I've pointed out before that Lily seems more interested in dodging tropes than thinking about why the tropes are there, and this is just more proof on it. Niva actually doesn't function without Lavi, up to and including the fact that even as a fragment of the Avatars Soul, she still NEEDS Lavi. She doesn't care about the world at large but still seeks mastery over the elements to frankly bizarre degrees. She's considered gentle but has super moves that are designed to maximize suffering. She is very deliberately just ducking tropes without thinking wider, Niva needs to be extremely worldly and adaptable to be as realized of a bender as she is and in this, meet a lot of people and on some level be forced to internalize their culture and values as its literally part of bending. She has techniques custom brewed to prolong suffering on her enemies, but is the gentle avatar? Nah.

The less mentioned about the implications of how important Lavi is to her, the better. Out of every Avatar that has loved and lost, apparently only LAVI is the only one that was loved enough to get a place in the spirit of the Avatar... where there is text, there is subtext, and the subtext says either extreme codependency or incest! Take your pick it doesn't make it any better...

The thought that she's doing it by accident just because she wants to avoid the very justified tropes of AtlA... just...

ATLA Live Action Ep 1 Thoughts:

When the writers meant they wanted it to be like game of thrones, clearly they meant "we want the battles to happen in complete darkness so nobody can see what is going on," and not, you know, the sex stuff.

Idk why this never occurred to me until now but ostrich horse is chocobo.

They are clearly going for a darker, more grittier feel here, but it clashes with the attempt to keep things true to the animated origin. Like, the earth kingdom OC looks straight out of some more realistic Adult fantasy show, whereas Sozin's character design makes him look like evil Santa.

So firebenders are able to do that to bodies, which I appreciate from a fanfic perspective and also confirms what people have been theorizing about the agni kai, that Ozai put his hand on his son's face. Not sure it was necessary to see it, though. The original does a good job of horrifying us with implied violence and the adults already get it, while showing it makes it less accessible to a younger audience. This is hardly a problem unique to this show, though.

Air nomads actually riding sky bison!

I like having more background with the air nomads and Aang's actor is great but front-loading the flashbacks doesn't work great for the pacing.

One thing I do really like is the emphasis on how the war damaged the harmony of the nations in more than just a spiritual way. No one has friends from other nations now. Zuko comes seeking "someone who does not belong" with the (false) promise that no one will get hurt if everyone keeps to themselves, keeps the status quo. The air nomads are a complete anomaly in a world of division. We are introduced to Aang, Sokka, Katara, and Zuko, and all are isolated in their own way by the war at the beginning of the story.

Overall there is something just weird about the pacing. Characters keep pausing at vital moments of action to deliver exposition or meaningful monologues. It just feels off.

Zuko so desperate for "glory" that he accepts Sokka's proposal to fight one on one (nice foil to the final agni kai by the way). Then his surprise when Aang shows himself reveals that Zuko himself did not know whether he would really find the Avatar in this village he's suddenly shown up to terrorize. God, it just emphasizes how low Zuko is at this point. This is probably his first real high stakes fight and he might have killed Sokka over absolutely nothing out of a false sense that he had something to prove. It's just...sad.

The scene at the Southern Air Temple looked great and had me in tears. I actually saw some criticism of this to the effect of them "ruining Aang's arc" because he comes out of the Avatar state himself, but first of all, let's be real and admit that if mastering the Avatar State was Aang's arc, he never completed it. Second, just because he could bring himself out does not mean he can control it, and he's still letting his emotions control him which is a learning curve for handling that power, it's just that he was able to control his anger in that moment by remembering the people he loved. Which is not that different from how the scene plays out in the original, only he isn't using Katara as a crutch. Which is a good thing, actually. It's much more fitting and poignant that he thinks about Gyatso here.

I don't think there was any mention of Katara wanting to go north. She has a few lines about wanting to help more and Aang teaches her about balance so she can bend now, apparently, but where is her drive? It feels like they're attributing her accomplishments to Aang and that bothers me. Maybe it'll be mentioned in the next episode, since they haven't talked about Aang learning waterbending yet, either. But I do miss the Katara who was ready to banish herself from the village the moment she met Aang not just because it was the right thing to do, but because of her own desire for independence and autonomy.

Liked the scene between Aang and Iroh. It gives us a glimpse of an Iroh who is stuck as to what to do and so he just gives Aang the Zuko treatment by offering him tea. I'd be excited if this means we get to see more development for Iroh.

God. Rewrite aiden in my au. Where do i start w him

In my little rewrite version, he's like. His entire life is doomed from the start. Grew up with a neglectful and pushy family where he felt constantly scared and weak in, making him seek control in other parts of his life (why he's so aggressive and rude, later becoming outright violent)

During sky city, it's Lukas who's fighting against him on the bridge, and after a struggle and Aiden's whole shpeel about Lukas abandoning them (aiden, maya, gill) like nothing for the new order of the stone

Anyway . Copper golems (that belong to the founder) appear and latch onto the guy's legs, and yk the storm during that bridge scene? Yeah. The dude gets struck by lightning with the force of five dying neuron stars and then just... wobbles back and forth.... before the copper golems let go, and he falls off the side into the water

While the blazerods are stuck in Sky City as it is being rebuilt on the ground they find an opportunity to break out and they book it to the portal, get lost for a little bit in the Atlas (remade portal hallway. Imagine those images of like, illusion staircases where gravity is weird. And theres stairs and halls full of portals wherever you look. Like that.) And they pass into like the worst possible place ever that is just CRAWLING with illagers

They get trapped, thrown in jail, tortured a wee bit before maya and gill are taken dor experimentation and Aiden was supposed to be the next (his arms were already cut off, and he saw what became of maya and gill after they got experimented on) but two new arrivals were found so they decided to stop temporarily

I AM NNNOT going to continue the story from there . Because it includes another character and an oc i want to like. Build up towards

In any case, skipping ahead like a few pages when aiden manages to get out and is now travelling with 2 people (one of which is more than happy to use him as bait or a human shield), guy really just wants his arms back and feels stupid and scared without. Arms. Hes losing hope UNTIL they get to a certain dimension with a city full of these advanced redstone-loving folk

In aiden's endless luck they get into the equivalent of the black market and they find people willing to give aiden new limbs for free IF he agrees to the terms and conditions

... the terms and conditions were "we can freely experiment on ur ass for as long as we want :3" and thats. Yeah thats what the tinkerers did. They were super proud of themselves and even slapped on their logo on him

Aiden is completely useless at walking and using his mech spider legs for a long while till he eventually manages to grasp it enough to keep going. Hallelujah !! He eventually gets time to process everything that happens to him lol (he feels miserable for a while)

- enjoy embroidery. He's kind of shabby at it, but it takes his mind off of things. He also writes small anthology stories in a wee stolen journal he makes up when his mind drifts

- The jacket he's wearing is stolen, lmao

- when his jaw was ripped out and replaced, so was his teeth; they make a loud clank noise if he snaps his teeth. Like a beartrap!! Also a strong bite strength

- i like to think he made a small makeshift funeral for maya and gill despite having nothing of them. It helped him cope a lil

- is surprisingly kinder to kids who aren't like, loud, or overly annoying.

- misses having hands sometimes (misses being able to hold pencils normally, or feeling the fur of animals, or warmth and cold, or holding things, etc etc...)

- Loves fighting without a weapon in stupid amounts. He'll scrap w a skeleton for fun, and it's even easier with his edward scissorhands ass implants. The reason his jacket has that fire charge burn is because he got distracted with "playing" w a ghast

- in a similar fashion, likes play-fighting (i say play-fighting, but i mean like, full-on blood and bruises but without ill intent when i say fighting)

His fav mobs are creepers. Has attempted to get close to one before. In addition, really likes the nether as well.

- Given he can't yell as much anymore (though he will still be the loudest man on earth if something scares him) (think incyn from neocranium streams), he's overly condescening and sarcastic instead.

- His right pupil is all janked up because his face got slashed; the reason why was because he was trying to fight off the illagers that were taking Maya + Gill. Still believes he could've tried harder.

- occasionally loses sleep either because of adrenaline, stress, nightmares, or just because of his already abysmal sleep schedule.

^ not a morning person.

- is, in fact, still super competitive and will brag about any victory ever. Still learning not be a sore loser (its a work in progress, but its there)

- has dark humour in the sense he'll try and joke about things in the worst moments, also a bit grim or rude in the same way. He'll laugh about stupid shit in general, though.

^ when he laughs loud enough and for too long, steam will also come out his jaw vents/mouth (not to the same amount if he was to scream and overload his throat implant, its lighter and not as obtrusive)

- has a really good knack for stealing things and negotiating with traders. He likes doing it, too. He feels awfully proud of himself when he manages to pull it off.

- His little antenna thing at the side of his head emotes (whirrs up and down or twists slightly from side to side. Think warrior cat fanart or something.)

- can come off as rude (and he is, dont get me wrong), but sometimes it is just genuinely being blunt or like, brutally honest with his thoughts. He doesn't even do it intentionally, it just becomes a reflex lmfao

- Will ramble on about the history and art and process regarding architecture if he can. He'll get embarrassed about going off on a tangent for so long and will shut up but like a couple months later he will absolutely start up again

- likes using his mech spider legs to skewer zombies. Morbid stress relief, but it's still mildly satisfying to him.

- has a really bad fear of storms after the whole sky city thing; it makes him have what is essentially flashbacks to everything to the bridge fight and after it (aka, deaths of his previously closest friends). Feels similarly to copper golems and will like, discreetly knock them over or push them away using his mech-spider legs

- wont admit it for the life of him but actually really enjoys feeding birds. Wont say it because he feels like thats something people over the age of 60 do when they're having a late-life crisis.

- easy to annoy thanks to his temper

IT'S OUR BABIES, OUR LITTLE GUYS!!!

So yeah, I had this idea like, 4 days ago and absolutely had to do it. The top character is @dustmint s OC Atlas Seek (CHAT I LOVE HIM), who's a fused Jekyll and Hyde, and then of course the bottom one is my guy Harry/Whole Jekyll :33

HIIII!!!!!! I have. So many things to ramble about you have no idea what you've unleashed 👁👁 (But also I'm bad at thinking of what exact topics soooooo, this rant might be all over the place)

I wanna ramble about my oc Atlas Seek, they're one of my silliest little guys that I'm very obsessed with at the time. I have A LOT of ocs (around +24) ((I know this cause I put them in a hunger games simulator once, just because I got bored, it's very fun)) but I often tend to get like pretty focused on some of my ocs for some time and then forget all about them, this is something that has happened a lot and has caused some of my ocs to be really forgotten, cause i usually tend to pick favourites ehem–

Anyways! Onto Atlas, I love them dearly, they're a really fun character and also a bastard, he's my silly little guy. Though I'm not actually sure if I can count Atlas as an oc cause he's sort of mostly Jekyll and Hyde just like, glued together onto each other??? At least that's how they begin, Atlas is the result of like, Hyde and Jekyll joining together, I'm actually writing a fic with them, in the fic Atlas is formed by Mind Lanyon cutting off Hyde's head, this causes stuff to happen. Jekyll's mind tries to join Hyde back to Jekyll, sort of like trying to connect them as if they were two pieces of a puzzle, but the thing is that Hyde has his own consciousness, he's not just Jekyll's vices and repressed urges, there's something else in there that doesn't belong to Jekyll, but is instead Hyde, the vague beginnings of a person who sees himself as nothing else except as the evil of Jekyll.

Anyways, this results in them not being able to fuse back together, at least not so much not their consciousness, but you know what it does try to fuse back together that doesn't struggle as much as their consciousness? Their bodies, so Jekyll's mind just sort of triggers something like a transformation but not really one, it's just enough so that they have both traits of Jekyll and Hyde's bodies, but not enough to be one or the other completely, this sort of results in no one being able to recognise them as Jekyll or Hyde

They both eventually realize this and decide to go for a new name under this appearance "Atlas Seek"

DURING THE CONQUEST.

Lord Crispian Celtigar was the Lord of Claw Isle and head of House Celtigar during the reign of King Aegon I Targaryen. He served as the first master of coin. After Aegon was crowned as King of All Westeros, he established the first small council and Crispian was named the first master of coin. In that office, he advised Aegon on matters relating to taxation, debts, and incomes. Canon.

Lord Alton Celtigar was the Lord of Claw Isle and the head of House Celtigar during the reign of King Aegon I Targaryen after his father Crispian. Alton was named Hand of the King by King Aegon I Targaryen, following the resignation of Lord Edmyn Tully in 9 AC. Alton served ably as Hand until he died from natural causes in 17 AC. He was succeeded as Hand by Ser Osmund Strong. Edwell Celtigar, was his nephew by his sister Obsidia, he succeeded him as head of House Celtigar during Maegor's Rule. Canon.

Lady Obsidia Celtigar was the only daughter of Lord Crispian and joined the offorts in the conquest. She managed a small fleet on the sea and arranged Claw Isle as it is today. She became a companion to Queen Rhaenys and upon her death, her father proposed her as a second bride but the King never took a second wife again. Obsidia eventually would marry a Stormlander and have a son, Edwell who would succeed her brother as Lord of House Celtigar. OC.

DURING THE DANCE OF DRAGONS.

Lord Clement Celtigar. Canon. was the Lord of Claw Isle and the head of House Celtigar during the late part of the Dance of the Dragons. He was the son and heir of Lord Bartimos Celtigar and a supporter of Queen Rhaenyra. Clement became the Lord of Claw Isle after the death of his father during the riot in King's Landing in 130 AC. He would later serve during the ascension of Aegon III and Viserys II, and propose his own daughters as brides but both proposals were rejected despite having aided in the war.

Lady Serafia Celtigar. OC. Youngest daughgter of Bartimos Celtigar and an attendant to Queen Rhaenyra when she becomes Queen, however, due to the war, she is send back to Claw Isle to secure it and make it a safe haven for refuges. Serafia was a potential bride to King Viserys I alongside Laena for his second wife but the match, as usual was rejected. Serafia is the one who begins a log of every item of magic and collection that House Celtigar has, having visions that some of them might help in the future.

DURING THE SONG OF ICE AND FIRE.

Lord Ardrian Celtigar. Canon. known as the Red Crab, is the Lord of Claw Isle and the head of House Celtigar. Ardrian is known for his avarice and his wealth. He is considered a sour old man. Prideful of his house and bitter over the years of mistreatment from the other Valyrian Houses, Ardrian remains quiet on his opinions regarding Valeryons and Targaryens. As a vassal of Dragonstone, Lord Ardrian supports Stannis Baratheon when he lays claim to the Iron Throne, but without real enthusiasm. He is forced to bend the knee to Joffrey, again without real enthusiasm. House Celtigar's wealth is said to be greater than Lannister in gold.

Ser Atlas Celtigar. OC. Atlas is Ardrian eldest son, currently in Essos, hoping to get close to Asshai and the shadowlands, seeking the Origin of Magic and Old Valyria. He wille ventually cross paths with the Dragon Queen, however, Atlas does not give away his ideas and thoughts regarding the house before him. Though he does make it clear that House Celtigar has suffered being sidelined by the other two houses and sees the Rebellion and the Dance as some sort of fate or karma for denying Celtigar blood.

Lady Regent Odessa Celtigar. OC. While her father is in King's Landing, forced to bend the knee, Odessa remains at Claw Isle and secures the isle itself for any future attacks and acts as Regent of her house in abscence of her father and brother. Odessa was a prospect bride for Prince Viserys III when she was a child, despite being only 3 when the Rebellion broke out.

Details about Celtigars:

One of the wealthiest families in Westeros and very reluctant to give away in loans. Very strict when asking for money or favors back.

Most Celtigar women have been offered as wives to Targaryen Kings and even Velaryon men but often refused as Celtigars were not on the same status in Valyria as the other two houses, this is why Celtigars are not dragonriders.

They possess a Valyrian forged axe, a mythical horn that can summon krakens from the seas as well sea dragons.

Their eyes are a shade of Bixbite, Jade and some do share purple tones like the rest of the Valyrians. This is because most Celtigars descend more from families from the Empire of the Dawn and Ghiscari Empires.

During the Dance, they were on the side of the Blacks.

During Aegon's Conquest, they offered their daughter Obsidia asa second wife to Aegon after the death of Rhaenys but the offer was refused.

They often hold position of treasures or masters of coins.

Claw Isle is highly secured with valyrian steel and one of the few rare places where it remains in Westeros besides swords.

Set 55 years after the Air Nomad genocide, the world is in disarray. The Earth Kingdom is battered, the Southern Water Tribe has been brutalized while the North stands by, and the remaining Air Nomads live in fear, scattered across the other three nations. Fire Lord Azulon is dead, and his successor is just as ruthless. The Avatar has not been revealed, and while some wait for their return, others have lost faith and seek to change the world themselves.

This RP is OC-Based, and no canon characters exist. The role of the Avatar is already taken, but you have the opportunity to become one of their companions, or Water, Earth, or Fire Royalty. Or, you can RP as a commoner trying to server their country however they can. The possibilities are limitless.

ATLAVERSE OC LORE

okay okay so basically

We have 7 ocs (<33), all based in a modern AU for ATLA. Its in todays world, so we have all of the tech of today. In this world, benders are the minority and the subject of a lot of prejudice. Some people love em, most hate them because they’re far more powerful than the average human and everyone is threatened by them. A few smart people make friends with the benders (big brain) but most everyone is terrified by them (peasants).

In Tabs' words:

"Benders in the modern world are a minority and are oppressed and demonized. Any person known to have bending powers are locked in jail, killed, or sent to illegal bending arenas to fight to the death. 

The Avatar spirit has been missing for generations. There is no hope, there is no brighter future for benders. 

The Avatar is gone. Lost. 

Until he was found in the body of a man named Revon.

Revon, forced to hide for the entirety of his life, seeks not to bring benders and nonbenders together, but to eradicate every last one of the benders so that he alone holds all the power.

He will unite the world, under his rule. 

That’s where a small rebel group, known as the Steel Hearts, comes into play. A vigilante group dating back to the times of Avatar Korra, it is led by a young waterbender. Once, her parents led the group, before they disbanded under mysterious circumstances.

Ren [he/him] (@halfghostlyfires) -> Earthbender, can literally bend every sub-element, most powerful earthbender right after Toph Beifong, resident rich guy #1, weapon of choice: Kyoketsu-shoge (“KNIFE ON A ROPE” according to tabs)

Amara [she/her] (@serenaisproblem) -> Airbender, hacker, weapon of choice: pocketknife (violence when she has to)

Artemis [he/him] (this is the Artemis that Tabs and I refer to) -> Waterbender, resident rich guy #2, weapon of choice: handheld dagger (only resorts to violence when he has to)

Zephyr [they/them] (@im-just-here-for-the-comics-r18) -> Non-bender, absolute badass and will not hesitate to kill, weapon of choice: a goddamn flame thrower

Akio [he/him] (@tdog451) -> Firebender, one of the most powerful in the group, weapon of choice: also throwing knives and his firebending, if you haven't guessed by now, this is Kara's lost lost twin brother

Orion [he/him] (@yourlocalapplejuice) -> Airbender, doesn't do violence except to protect those he loves too, weapon of choice: airbending, Kara's S/O

Villains:

Revon: based off of my humanities teacher, has some history with Kara (we literally dont know what yet), the Avatar and Kara’s direct opponent, weapon of choice: throwing knives

Vexx: based off of no one because Vexx is creepy and weird and none of us like him, weapon of choice: literally any kind of knife and gun, Artemis’ direct opponent

Lilith: also not based off of anyone because she is terrifying, runs an illegal bending arena, both Rexen’s and Akira’s direct opponent, weapon of choice: gun

Those are the three main villain as of now, we’re still developing Amara’s and Zephyr’s

Backstories: 

Kara: parents were assassins, bloodbenders, and leaders of the Steel Hearts, passed that down to Kara. Her parents ended up killing each other (no explanation yet <33)

Akira and Rexen: both were kidnapped at a young age and forced to fight in a bending arena. Rexen escaped first, but was forced to leave Akira behind. Akira finally escaped, met up with Kara's gang, then finds Rexen, and now those two make out at every opportunity after 6 months of being apart

Ren and Artemis: their stories are intertwined. Both were best friends in their youth, but Artemis’ parents being killed led to a rift in their friendship (if you want more on this specific one, tabs and I have a ficlet)

Ren: abusive parents, rich dude, but runs away, ends up getting kidnapped and arrested, his parents have put out a bounty on him

Artemis: actual loving parents, but they’re dead now (heheh) so artemis is forced to live on his own at 12, ends up being successful but chooses to look for his parents’ killer

Amara: oldest kid and has to take care of her siblings. After striking a deal with some pretty shady people, amara shoves her family in a safe place and runs. She is the first member of the steel hearts, and she is the one who encourages Kara to restart it

(We’re still figuring out Zephyr’s backstory lmao but I will put it in here soon)
