"garcia says we're lucky we have cell service," spencer says, with his hands in his pockets, before his eyes flick to your lap, "what're you reading?" "mm." you nod. "nice of the chief to let us use his house." you close the book and self-consciously wipe the title with your hand (the one that killed the gnat). "did you know that franz kafka didn't want bugs on the cover of his book?" "you're reading 'the metamorphosis'," he guesses. "it's a comfort read," you say, shrugging, your toes pushing the floorboards again. spencer slowly sits in the rocking chair beside you and you silently return to the symphonies of the moist, summer night. at least - you do until spencer starts talking about his interpretation of the novel and you listen, your eyes focused on the harsh, slice of darkness where the porch light doesn't reach.

Lord Captain Xandra von Valencius, Rogue Trader of the Imperium

Following the unexpected death of Her Ladyship Theodora von Valencius and her known heir, a bladedancer named Xandra has taken the Lord Captain's seat. While she may be new to the role of Rogue Trader, Xandra von Valencius is far from a nobody. In fact, this isn't the first time she's been referred to as nobility. Prior to the reveal of her von Valencius heritage, Xandra made a name for herself as a crime lord on a hostile death world, wrangling the scattered pirates into a formidable fleet. Rumor says she ruled ruthlessly until she was captured by a rival gang. No one knows what happened to her in the 3 months she was missing, but when she returned, having single-handedly slaughtered the entire gang responsible for her capture, Xandra was changed. Having attracted much attention with her recent ascension to Lord Captain, it seems that Her Ladyship is eager not to fall into enemy hands. In addition to Xandra's own skills with blades, rumor says that she is accompanied by an eerie death cultist who never leaves her side. Will the new Rogue Trader grow the dynasty's glory, or will she be the reason the von Valencius name is struck from the history books? Time will tell if the skills she used to gain and keep control of her criminal empire will serve her well as Lord Captain. If you couldn't tell by the top half of this post, I started playing Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader a couple weeks ago. I bought the game on my birthday because it just happened to be on sale, and in the past 2 weeks I've racked up 31 hours. Which isn't much compared to my playtime in WotR when I first started playing, but it's pretty impressive given my workload. I've been having a ton of fun!! This is Xandra, and yes, she's a (space) pirate who was captured and tortured. I have a type, apparently.

Here's some pics of her in-game.

I imagine that the 2nd outfit (the long coat) is her adventuring outfit (lots of pockets plus belts for weapons and such), and the other more uniform-looking outfit is her "ceremonial" outfit. (She's never going to get more formal than that.)

Also, if anyone else plays Rogue Trader and hasn't played the Void Shadows DLC, I highly recommend it. Kibellah is awesome, and the Bladedancer archetype is SO much fun to play. (Yes, I'm running a party that's 1/3rd Bladedancer Assassins. Surprisingly, it works really well. They are VERY efficient little murder machines.)

been working on a build save to practice, decided fuck it and bulldozed the goth's ugly fuckin house and remake it from memory with the intention to improve it. i like the floor plan of it a lot so far but im really bad with window placement and matching, so ive relied on adding ivy to help me hide it

hi! i know you probably do the monster prom icons based on requests and dont fully look into every single character, but zoe is canonically a trans woman and it feels a bit uncomfortable seeing icons of her with other gender flags. (i know some people use their own pride flag on icons with an unrelated character, but its not usually the first thought when ppl see pride icons)

That's fair! I'll go back and tag all non-female aligned posts with Zoe as "ncc: zoe" for you to filter them out (ncc standing for "non-canon compliant") :)

I love your Luna outfits edit didn't realise she had so many cool ones. Sadly I tried the really loud house and just couldn't get into it so gave up. Is such a shame cause I love the animated series along with the Casagrandes!

ahh thank you! granted it's been a while since I made that set so I could be misremembering, but I'm fairly certain there were a couple of times i included more than one outfit per episode, like she truly never misses.

that's totally fair. I actually saw the movies first, the christmas movie from a few years back that I believe was their first excursion into a live-action version, and then the halloween movie from this past october, and that made me decide to give the series a try, but it actually took me a few tries before I found myself genuinely enjoying it.

but i'm the same on the original and the casagrandes! I'm still upset about the casagrandes cancellation :/
