NovProject

Title: That Time I Got Seduced by a Bard (then found the Holy Sword and went on a quest to defeat the Demon Lord in the name of LOVE)

Working on my character outlines...

I'm so distracted, though. Tumblr is certainly not making it easy to concentrate on much of anything. (BOOPING IS TOO FUN!)

Anyway... The story so far:

The Demon Lord is on the verge of awakening. The seals have weakened and demons are working to undo them completely. Only the Holy Sword Limeapiritor can strengthen them.

This literally isn't a problem. Every 100 years this happens and it's just a regular task the church sends someone out to go do. Just preventative maintenance, really. Hasn't been any issue with keeping the Demon Lord sealed for hundreds of years.

This generation, they've sent the third prince of Mais to collect the sword and go on a quest to strengthen the seals. His companions for the quest are Étaín, the elven acolyte of only two years, and Merita, the famous bard who is known across the land for her bawdy ballads. Prince Johano requested these two because Étaín was the hottest cleric and Merita is to document his epic quest to reseal the great evil.

Except Étaín can only cast Minor Healing - a spell only powerful enough to heal the scrapes and bruises of a toddler.

Merita has no fighting abilities. Her weapons are her words; she does most of her swordwork on her back.

Johano is very disappointed because his life is not going how he wants. Neither woman will sleep with him, and an orc has stolen the Holy Sword!

Rhor has been on his Epithet Quest for two years and has nothing to show for it. It isn't for lack of trying... well, not... well... He's tried, he's just not very good at it. Thinking isn't his strong suit. He wants to do something good for the world, too. But there's just not much out there to be done.

He tried helping people, but little acts of kindness here and there don't make for a good Epithet. He tried hunting a great monster, but by the time he got there, it had already been slain, and he found that the creature's babies had been abandoned after the hunters took their prize. He could've killed the babies, but instead, he spent four months feeding them to make sure they didn't starve to death before they could hunt on their own.

Then... he met Merita.

She defended him from the accusations and insults of a petty human. She complimented him. She... gave herself to him.

Now Rhor has decided that maybe returning to his village isn't worth it? They wouldn't accept him having a human for a wife, after all, and Merita said she LIKES him. That he's handsome! Now... he just has to find her.

But this stupid sword keeps telling him to do other things, and he can't get rid of it!

Go to archiveofourown.org and open the fic you want to download.

At the top right corner, to the right of the 'subscribe' button, is a button that says 'download'. Click it.

A drop-down menu will give you the option to choose the format of your download. Choose your preferred format (.epub and .pdf are my personal favorites -- .epub lets you open a fic in the apple books app and .pdf is compatible with like every device and program out there).

When you click the button for your preferred format, a pop-up window appears confirming your choices. The title of the document will default to the title of the fic, so be aware of that and consider changing conspicuous titles to something ignorable, especially if you share the computer.

You're done! Now do this with all your favorite fics!

Interestingly, Rui's Mad Sorcerer costume uses a different symbol to the other costumes from the Imperial Soldiers set. Whilst Toya and KAITO's costumes, as well as Miku's trained Good at Cooking? 3*, have an emblem with a dragon, Rui's has an 8-pointed star.

This 8-pointed star is the same one that appeared in costumes and cards from the Knights of White set, being featured in Tsukasa's Chivalrous Chevalier costume and Akito's Noble Paladin costume. The star emblem also appeared in the background of Shiho's trained Filled With My "Thanks" 3* card.

Rui's Mad Sorcerer costume notably uses a similar base design to the Knights of White costumes, and the color palette appears to be a muted version of the one used in that set. This could suggest that within the alternate universe presented through the White Day sets, Rui at some point was a part of the Knights of White.

I drew this in November 2024 but I never posted it because I was so embarrassed (?) But well, I like it right now :) Them as SOAD fans at 16-17yo <33

I really liked adding some of my headcanons, like them as Nirvana fans/listeners (Stan's t-shirt [which is also my first Nirvana t-shirt, me projecting myself onto Stan as always 🫡] and Kyle's In Utero poster). Also, I've added a poster of The Cure and the Toxicity album from SOAD too :3

And my favourite one, Kyle's pendant with the C of Crimson Dawn <33 Stan gave it to him when they were 14 and it is secretly his favourite possession (although he has never admitted it, he always wears it).

And well that's all, it's my first time drawing Stan with bleached hair like Trey's, I don't know if I'll keep it for other drawings but for now I like it :]

I've got an idea/vibe for my NovProject, but haven't gotten very far in it because I've been working on a different story... I'm screwed.

Working on an outline for November! It's a queer magical girl novella about a nonbinary person, a butch lesbian, and a gay boy teaming up to save Ishtar, the goddess of love and war. I'm working on the outline as fast as I can so I won't be lost during my November challenge.

It's based on the story of Innua getting herself caught by her sister in the underworld. She's rescued by a person that's "both man and woman." Unfortunately, the ancient version of a nonbinary person d!es in the versions I could find. I don't plan on anyone dying, so don't worry, lol.

HAI im replying to this months after you have asked. but yes!!! i have so many scraps truly, though they’re mostly in pen/pencil. I prefer posting digital stuff on here, especially for AU art, but I don’t wanna let this au escape me!! so, here’s a few sketches from last year!

Also; I came up with an actual name for this au!! I very much like the sound of “Wondaloops”, so it has been. Bestowed.

starting off with: face concepts!! Isat’s art style has very very good shape language & plays around w the sharpness of its characters a lot (such as Odile being very long angular, while Mira is more stout and circular, reflecting each other their respective personalities through shape!). I wanted to replicate that as much as possible!

Tsukasa & Emu have mainly short & rounded shapes, seeming friendly & approachable. Tsukasa was basically already done, but emu took me a VERY long time to design (her face & hair went though so many alterations), and honestly I’m still not 100% happy with her. Rui & Mizuki have longer faces & are generally lankier, with Rui’s hair having slightly more sharper shapes & Mizuki’s hair having softer ones. Nene is rounder as well, but I felt like giving her a more angular aspect works well for her, since she’s more sharper in personality than Tsukasa & Emu are!

Rui & Emu hair brushing scene :] I imagine this scene occurs multiple times, each time having Rui request a different hairstyle (until they run out of ways to style it, of course).

lastly, one of the first sketches for this au, and one of my favorites. I needed to include Robo-Nene SOMEHOW, and “nene bomb” appealed to me greatly. Ruinene you will always be famous (even though this au does not have polyshow and thus, no ruinene…).

Nov Project day 1

Started writing this morning. I'm off to a great start, I think.

The song rolling around in Merita's head was not what her current employer had commissioned. Merita had no excuse for this. She couldn't claim that honesty and accuracy were driving forces in her creativity, considering some of the songs she'd penned. She wasn't known for telling the truth, after all. She was known for being an entertainer.

Unfortunately for Prince Johano Ullenthrop vi Mais, third in line to the Mais throne, honesty was far more entertaining than whatever lies she could've made up about him.

I made a blanket! Used the Gilbert Baker original Pride Flag colorway. This fits nicely on my twin sized futon, the cast on was in the purple, but it ended up longer along the cast on edge, so the cast on and cast off edges are the sides of the blanket not the head/foot ends.

The yarn is Cascade Yarns Noble Cotton (about 1.25 skeins of each color), knit on US 9 needles (Lykke colors, interchangeables), 40 rows of each color, cast on and cast off with US 10 needles, cast on a total of 240 sts.
