We made Hungarian Mochis with my mom!💙 Traditional Hungarian dessert called 'gombóc', which translates to 'spherical' or 'dumpling'. This one we filled with plum and cinnamon, so it's called 'szilvás gombóc' (plum-y dumpling).

It's basically the same as a japanese mochi with a few differences: instead of rice we use potatoes, we boil them in water, and additionnaly we shuffle them in poppy paste! It's very delicous with and without the outer paste too, but if you live in the balcan slavic area or in Hungary, you know how popular poppies are.

(Context: We didn't know how to get to its morphine parts for centuries because we're not that developed, so we only made desserts and decors out of the flowers and poems about its sleep-inducing effects and so the food is completely harmless.)
