Behold, my long overdue redesign of my ancient Galactic Nova catification. Or I suppose it's a CBC now? Nova doesn't really have much of a personality (or personhood, even) in canon so anybody who makes it more of a character than a plot device of course winds up having to make up their own characterization. Why on God's green Earth would a wish-granting entity with any modicum of a conscience grant wishes indiscriminately? Why would such an entity be created? It should never question this.

Okay but can we talk about Martin and Nova moon? Like they both met a sweaty hot shoeless man in the middle of nowhere and not only made sure he was alright but offered him food? AND A RIDE TOO?!

absolutely insane how vex has now died 5 times. the most deaths of any player character in CR history. probably any character, really. and like. it's fitting that it's her, isn't it? and not just because she has such a low constitution and health point pool, and continues to go tits-out with no regard to that.

but like. of course, the only person to die more than death's champion himself is the champion's twin. vex's death is actually the one that triggered the weave of vax's fate with the matron, the love of a brother trying to drag her back. and that follows her, both as vax continues to stand at her side like a shadow, and as each of her deaths is undone, time and time again. the other half of the one who ferries dead souls. i can see it as some narrative that he continues to shield her from death, but their bond keeps dragging them together. i can also see it, simply, as a sister trying to out-do her brother, just like when they were kids.

plus, there's something either hilariously coincidental or terribly poetic about her having died once for each of her kids. five deaths to accompany five births. there's something there about a cycle of life and death, about balance, maybe. or even just how she keeps clawing to keep hold of the life and future she's made for herself, the one she'll always regret that her brother sacrificed to save her.

Logan's conviction that if Charles knew about Cassandra nothing would've stopped him from getting to her is so honest and genuine. And it speaks highly not only of Charles, but also of Logan and the way he perceives his friend. I think him wholeheartedly believing what he was saying played a role in Cassandra listening to him and collaborating, because I also think that he didn't kill her because Charles wouldn't have wanted that.

I am definitely thinking about having a baby on their knees for me.. leaning down to pat their crinkly padding before holding my fingers to their mouth.. The brainless little pet wouldn't even hesitate to open their mouth, all they would know is that there's something to suck on. Watching the thoughts drain from their eyes as they suckle, cooing over what a good kiddo they are...

Listening to them burble softly around my fingers.. knowing that they'll never be able to form a coherent thought again.. Just where they belong, a padded little pet at my feet, waiting to be used as I please :)
