Hey, first of all: I really really love the comic so far and I can't wait for you guys to return in April! I even got my sister to read it :))

Secondly: I was wondering if any of the cultures and languages in Shaderunners are comparable to any culture or language in real life. I remember you put tourmish in brackets when Ezra and Dom spoke, and since I've been re-reading the comic, I was wondering what the language sounds like.

Hi there! I'm so glad you've been enjoying the comic!

Although no culture in Shaderunners is meant to be a 1-to-1 parallel to anything, I think of Tourmalie the Tourmalie accent as Mexican-sounding (recognizing of course that there's no singular 'Mexican' accent and all countries have variances in accents). Tourmalie in general I think of as Mexican/Irish culture inspired, Oroline as Japan/Scotland, Autrio as more generally a combo of different seafaring cultures, and Paravine as French. I would say these connections are meant to be very slight and moreso a guide for the visuals for Alex, though. Thanks for the question!

Quick update!

Hey, guys, I think I'll go on a small hiatus on the fic until, at very least, January 7th, because of New Years and the planned trip with my family.

In meanwhile, I'll still try to make art and finish the first playlist for the AU! (Maybe I'll make a short comic, I wanted to do for awhile now)

So it's been a while, huh? Lots happened between posts, good, bad, and so-so. I won't go into details or whatever, but I've been a lot happier the past 5 months. The future of this blog

Hello everyone! So. Now this blog has fulfilled its purpose of counting down the days until Good Omens season 3's renewal! 142 out of 365 days, or 38.9% of the year, or two-fifths if you round it up.

Starting today, this blog will be on a permanent hiatus from now on. I don't think I'll be able to track all of the bits of promotional material that'll come out for season 3. The latest season 3 news is what @fuckyeahgoodomens, @goodomensonprime, and @goodomenshq are here for, so give them a follow if you haven't yet <3

I'll still return to reblog some very important season 3 news and that shall be it. That includes things like the casting info, release date announcement, S3 intro, and trailer.

We don't have a guide or any intention of making one at the moment, no. My advice would be to take any Korean names or terms you're interested in figuring out how to pronounce, putting their Korean spellings into Google Translate/Papago, and using the "speak aloud" function to hear how it should be said.

I'M (kinda) back! (sorry)

Sorry, still not an upd8, I just wanted to explain why i haven't really posted anything this past few months

So basically in this last few months I have been gone:

-We lost the home we had been living for almost all my life (20+ years)

-Had to move in like a month to a new rental home

-I started my school practices and im in my last semester before graduation!

So yeah, a lot has been happening and im pretty busy, which became worse when I kinda lost my motivation for the au and drawing in general, but it has lowly been coming back to me, I'm still totally unsure of if next month there will be an update but I'm not abandoning this blog!

So if things go well, I'll see you at the end of november :D

DId you guys have any specific sources you consulted when doing research for speakesies/underground jobs, and whatnot? If so, do you have links or any recommendations for sources?

Hi there! To be honest, not really! Although I read pretty widely, including books from the 1920s (Anita Loos, Zora Neale Hurston, Scott Fitzgerald, Nella Larsen, etc.), enough to get a general sense of the era more broadly, my main source of inspiration for a speakeasy-type setting is the PC adventure game Nancy Drew and the Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake. Which is probably more fanciful than accurate.
