I know they say hindsight is 20/20 but goddamn, if I had been my parent when I was visually struggling in school due to what I now know is ADHD, Bipolar, and honestly probably some Autism (All my brothers have it and my sister shows signs. Don't do heroine when your pregnant kids). I might have had a chance. Of course back in the day Autism was worse than death cause we didn't understand it. And we still don't know everything about it cause it's on a spectrum and it shows itself differently in different people. And sometimes not even until they well older or even into adulthood. Of course many of those adults are not equipped to be adults at all and were most likely forced to just do it and if they didn't they wound up traumatized by parents who thought they were just "lazy" or "don't care".

Thinking back, man, I sure had a lot of tantrums-- not tantrums, melt downs. Normal kids don't break down into tears from simply hearing the word NO. And if it was over toys or something, then yeah. Probably a bit of a spoilage happening. But, when something as simple as being told not to sit on a pile of snow because it will melt and make your butt wet, a 10 year old should just kind of "oh okay." and move on.. not start bawling her eyes out and feel like she's the worst kid in the world for sitting on snow. That's not normal.

I didn't get any help mentally until I was 12. And that's because I was bullied so badly at school that I told the teacher I wanted to kill myself. Oh and this was after going to a complete strangers house and saying I had been kidnapped just so I get out of school. (Cops were called, my mom had already reported me missing, they connected the dots and took me home. Mom was sobbing and I was PISSED. I remember shoving her off of me and going to my room. Just a warning from law enforcement aka little white girl privilege's in America.) I was put under a 5150 Involuntary hold at a little place called the Loma Linda Behavioral Hospital. And if you want to fuck up a kid, then you stick them in on of those without explaining what the hell is going on. I was used to normal hospitals where my mom would stay with me. Suddenly, I was without my parents, in this strange place, by my self where I couldn't even go to the bathroom alone. (And this was only the first time I was put in there.) I was crying so hard I couldn't breathe. I wanted out. Under any means. So I lied. I lied my little ass off. Told them there was a girl at school threatening me and that's why I didn't want to go. At the end of the 48 hour hold they put me on zoloft and sent me home. That was my first anti-depressant induced manic episode.

tags are mostly equivilant to flairs, used for organization and commentary

your dashboard is an aggregation of everyone you follow

there is an r/all equivilant(trending page) but it sucks and nobody uses it

our search also sucks. your best bet is using tumblr.com/tagged/[TAG] and not /search

there are no mods

by extension, reporting something doesn't put it in front of the mods, it sends it to staff, who may or may not do anything(usually they don't)

there is no karma, there are no karma limits. anyone can reblog anything, comment/reply to anything, or post in any tag

"reposting"(reblogging) old content doesn't matter. people can and will reblog the same post multiple times, including in a row

I love Zutara as much as the next girlie, but I think people romanticizing Zuko catching Azula's lightning in the Final Agni Kai are doing Zuko's character a massive disservice. He would have done that for anyone. Not just anyone in the Gaang, anyone.

He did it for the division he ended up getting burned over. He did it for his subordinate that was going to fall to his death after the ship was struck by lightning. He did it for Lee, when he was kidnapped by Gao. He did it for Iroh, when he confronted his dad and tried to break him out of prison. He did it for the whole Gaang at the Western Air Temple. He did it for Sokka, Suki, and Hakoda at the Boiling Rock.

His whole character revolves around saving everyone else first. Hell, he tried to save Zhao of all people! There's no way that would have gone well for Zuko if Zhao had actually taken his hand. He always does what he thinks is right first before considering his own safety.

Zuko always saves other people. Even if, especially if, he can't save himself.

The scary thing about Yellowjackets is that we’re led to believe that these girls have gone feral. They haven’t. Even towards the end, they are insane but they are not feral. There is a deliberation to pit girls death that, despite being able to hear the girls howling and chasing her down, we can tell that they are very much aware of what they are doing. We see the dolls they tied to the trees, we see the traps meticulously laid out to hunt their pray, and we see the gold necklace, purposefully clasped around their victims neck as they prepare to hunt her.

Their clothes are dirty, and made of animal skin, their cries are animalistic but it’s the little details that tell us just how human they are, the methodical nature of their brutal actions.

They are in a cult, and they hunt and kill their friends, but there are steps leading up to that, they don’t just sit there and - in there blunt, animal brains - decide to chase their friends. No, they stand in a circle and draw cards. They give a choice, you can surrender yourself and allow yourself to be killed, or you can run. You know you won’t be able to get away but you still run, because no matter how deep into the cult you are, you are still human, it doesn’t matter how crazy you are going or how much you hallucinate, because there is still a part of you that holds on to that sense that exists in the outside world, this insane notion that you’ll be able to escape, as you run through a forest that you yourself have laid traps all throughout.

They are crazy, but they are not feral, there is a method to everything they do, there is a technique to their cruelty. When I think of this topic, for me, it always comes back to Shauna. Shauna and Adam specifically.

I always think about how, when tasked with dismembering adam’s body, Shauna’s cuts where so clean they were considered surgical. This is not a coincidence, she learnt this during her time in the woods. The girls chase down their victims and then Shauna dissects them so precisely that, even 25 years later, the police mistakes her work for that of a practiced surgeon.

I don't think we're talking enough about how the premise for the 1827 meetup in the cemetery was a date, pure and simple. There was no "uh oh, Aziraphale is in trouble again", no big point in history that both sides needed them to attend, no Arrangement at all... nope, it was an invitation and an accepted invitation. It was literally Crowley saying "hey angel, I saw a thing that you'll find funny (I was thinking about you), come and hang out with me about it" and Aziraphale does.

And I wonder what would have happened next if they hadn't stumbled across grave-robbing Elspeth and her moral dilemma.
