it's the post i talked about making with seawing armor!! i was planning to do a third drawing with weapons, but i'm not super into it so maybe some other time

design notes under the cut!!

so first thing's first, i know very little about armor design. i did research and stuff, an attempt was made here XD

seawings mainly use materials found in/around the sea. metal is pretty limited to use in armor, weapons, and tools, especially during the war.

as such, seawings probably wouldn't know a ton about metallurgy, especially with the fact that they don't have fire. this generation's blacksmiths were likely informed by allied tribes, being mudwings (formerly) and some sandwings.

design is based off of ancient greek armor, mixed with some art nouveau styling. there's a bit more emphasis on aesthetics than practicality, a holdover from pre-war times.

materials are limited to things that won't degrade in saltwater (at least not quickly). bronze armor with glass-enameled elements, shark leather (or seaweed in lower ranks) straps, and titanium fastenings.

even though they won't degrade quickly, these materials will still oxidize. soldiers are expected to keep their armor presentable and in working order.

armor is made to be light, flexible, and limit use of glowscales, teeth, claws, and wings as little as possible. for these reasons, soldiers only wear a helm and spaulders unless in active battle, at which point noncoms would have a chestplate, and officers would have a chestplate and mail on the gills and belly. the gills are not usually covered, as their plating makes them the toughest part of the seawing naturally.

while there are armor gaps for use of glowscales, these are small and not the most practical. instead, seawing soldiers have been using a limited version of aquatic, made primarily of hand signals, for centuries.

because fabrics such as sashes would be impractical for seawings, rank is denoted using colored enamel portions on the armor. higher ranking officers, especially royalty, may also have custom armor, though this is a bad idea as it would make one a huge target in battle. regardless, some don special armor as is tradition.

Not exactly a character sheet but something akin to it... an all around sound reveal/analysis for my punk funk guy

yapping on top of yapping under the cut:

Les's musical style is a wide range that typically leans heavily into funk metal or punk rock, or both!, although he is quick to get inspired by other genres too. In general he likes music that sounds at least a little droll and unexpected. I hope the selection of albums I compiled can paint you a good idea of it (because I sure as hell don't know what I'm doing!).

He is, first and foremost, a bass player and he's very good at it. Heavy funky slapping and popping is prominent in his music as is usual in funk music in general. He's got an old (ugly) second-hand bass guitar, that he cherishes like it's his baby. He could probably save an get a cooler-looking one for the stage but that in itself is uncool in his book.

He's also not so bad with the trumpet too, doesn't own one though, so he only plays it when he gets a chance. He learned to play it from his uncle Adewale.

Singing on the other hand is not his forte; he doesn't have super impressive vocals plus he's holding himself back. His singing style sounds droll and kind of jaded (often even deadpan and monotone although thought out and not lazy in any way), and closer to speak-singing. Big reason for that is that genuine honest singing makes him feel vulnerable in an uncomfortable way he's not willing to face, and it hints at a possibility for emotional release he very much prefers to not see happen. Y'know, singing is therapeutic and he doesn't want the therapy. 🥲

He typically balances out his singing with sarcastic/dramatic lyrics or unusual storytelling that keep his true thoughts and feelings well encrypted under layers of metaphors and allegories (subconsciously or intentionally) — which funnily enough makes him a very clever lyricist. But he doesn't put any of it down and has no interest in joining Hed and Floyd with writing songs for the band.

His singing VA is John McCrea from Cake, and when I say this I mean from the sound of his singing voice, all the way down to how he delivers his lines and the lyrics themselves. ':) More examples: 1, 2, 3. (I put only two of their albums on the drawing but honestly Cake has so many good Les songs.)

NoMeansNo is a close second when it comes to lyrics, but they're more like vent songs for Les, when you catch him in a weird angry/depressed mood. I also really like that band's prominent use of the bass, it's not very funky but it scratches my Les itch very much.

Butthole Surfers' songs have good Les lyrics too, although those are more "him singing about weird hallucinations while high out of his mind" or when he wants to be shocking for the sake of being shocking. That band is just weird overall, I like the singers southern drawl though. I'm still on board the idea of Les and Hed having a bit of a southern US accent.

Incubus is an amazing band overall but their first two albums are such a good flavor of funk metal and early band experimentality. Their singer is really good in regards to the word intonation I imagine Les having, he's too skilled for Les to keep up with in some parts though. 😅

I think the perfect Les sound would be some kind of chimera of these four bands... or maybe not, maybe that would sound terrible. XD

But still, to get a feel for Les's sound overall you have to give all of the examples below a listen, or at least the ones I put in bold.

"I'd like to hear him out..."

So here’s a fun little AU concept for the past couple months since Mastermind aired and people started throwing around ‘What if Charlie (or Lucifer) was at Blitzo’s trial?’ ideas:

What if Vaggie didn’t (entirely) lose her wings to Lute’s attack? Meaning that Charlie actually KNOWS that Vaggie is an angel from the beginning. And leading to Vaggie not hiding her identity by pretending to be a sinner and instead be generally open about her past as an angel and exorcist. Which I think could have some rather interesting ripple effects.

Now I realize it might be a bit headscratching how ‘Vaggie doesn’t lose her wings’ leads to ‘Charlie (and Vaggie) showing up at Blitzo’s trial’, but hear me out.

First off, I think the ‘How’ of this divergence is actually pretty easy to imagine; instead of ripping her wings off, Lute decides to inflict a different kind of sadistic torture on Vaggie. Terribly maiming her wings to prevent her from flying, but still leaving her wings to make it clear just what she is. Basically, Lute and Adam fully expect Vaggie to be torn apart by vengeful demons.

But in true dramatically ironic fashion, Vaggie is NOT found by the ‘evil, terrible demons’ that Lute and Adam (and even Vaggie herself) were expecting, but by Charlie Morningstar. And I think we can all agree that Vaggie happening to have a pair of angel wings would NOT meaningfully change Charlie’s reaction to finding her in the slightest.*

Charlie still basically falls for Vaggie at first sight, takes her in and patches her up and gives her a home. And in this version, after it becomes clear that Vaggie’s wings aren’t healing, Charlie also calls in a favor from Uncle Ozzie to design some cool cybernetics/prosthetics to give Vaggie full wing-functionality back. And after a while, Charlie and Vaggie fall in love and start dating just like they did in canon, possibly even sooner/stronger given that Vaggie doesn’t have the specter of hiding who she is from Charlie hanging over her in this version.

And this is where we get to one of those interesting ripple-effects of this change.

Because I think it is VERY likely (as in, I imagine we’ll actually see this come up in the actual show) that Charlie’s belief in sinner-redemption and drive to help sinners in large part came from Vaggie. Specifically in that Charlie believed that Vaggie was a sinner. As in, Charlie falling in love with someone who she thought was a sinner was a MAJOR factor in Charlie believing that sinners could be redeemed and general drive to help them.

Now obviously I’m not suggesting that Vaggie was the only reason or that Charlie wouldn’t care about the sinners otherwise. At the same time, I think it’s a bit ridiculous to assume that Charlie believing the woman she loves was a sinner all that time wasn’t a major contributor to her motivation in ‘making a hotel to redeem sinners’. Or that Charlie knowing Vaggie WASN’T a sinner from the beginning couldn’t put her on a different path…

Basically, this version of events with Charlie falling in love with ‘Vaggie the fallen angel/former exorcist’ instead of ‘Vaggie the human sinner’ ends up rippling out to lead Charlie to focus not on the problems of the human sinners, but rather the problems faced by the hellborn demons.

Say for example; because Charlie knows that Vaggie is an angel, and thus almost certainly NOT bound to the Pride Ring, the pair end up taking a few trips/dates to see the other rings. Particularly given that Vaggie already know Asmodeus.

But in the process of these trips, Charlie starts noticing many of the issues faced by the hellborn demons. Many of which she doesn’t remember from back when her father was running things…

Basically this ties into another theory I’ve had since Mastermind that a lot of the societal issues we see in Helluva Boss are the result of, or at least have been heavily exacerbated by, Lucifer’s long ABSENCE from ruling thanks to his centuries-long depressed isolation. Something that I think Mastermind pretty heavily hints at given everything we see from Satan in that episode. And that at some point, Hazbin Hotel is going to show Charlie having to DEAL with many of these issues as part of her arc of growing into a leader and future ruler of Hell.

And in this version of events, instead of being drawn to wanting to help the human sinners, Charlie is drawn to wanting to help the hellborn demons. Basically, since her father clearly isn’t doing his job, perhaps SHE should step up and try doing it instead?

And of course, Vaggie is right at her side through ALL of this. In fact, she may even be a bit more gung-ho about it, given that it probably feels to her a bit more feasible than ‘redeeming sinners’.

This all leads to Charlie pushing herself not so much into ‘replacing’ her father outright as ‘ruler’ of Hell, but rather starting to assume a kind of regency position. Not full-on ‘ruling’ (yet), but still starting to assume some of the roles and duties that her father has been neglecting for a couple hundred years.

And the fun thing is that nobody is really able to stop Charlie from doing any of this. After all, she IS the princess and heir apparent of the Morningstars, meaning she is well within her rights to assume a number of roles of her father. Particularly as Charlie makes it very clear that she is not trying to outright supplant her father, but is simply assuming duties that he’s been neglecting. To the point of keeping the title of ‘Princess’, or maybe ‘Princess Regent’.

Sure, some/most/all of the Goetia/other nobility might not like a lot of the ideas and goals Charlie is talking about, such as ‘Maybe the Imps, Hellhounds, etc AREN’T actually lesser and born to serve the nobility and shouldn’t be treated as such’, but there also isn’t really anything they can do to STOP her or remove her from her new position. After all, the only one with the authority truly above Charlie’s is Lucifer himself.**

And the nobles who do make a scene and/or pitch a hissy fit about Charlie’s ‘radical ideas’ tend to find themselves at the business-end of her girlfriend’s spear, sword or divinely-mailed fist. Really, in this situation Vaggie is a pretty big fucking deal all on her own, being a fallen angel and all. Certainly NOBODY is going to be judging Charlie on her choice of romantic partner. Well, maybe some sinners might judge her for dating a former exorcist, but any Hellborn demons, even the Goetia? No fucking way. Really, people would probably be making comments on how Charlie is taking after her mother.

Heck, even in the short time since Charlie started this endeavor, Vaggie’s probably earned her own title or two. ‘Blade of the Morningstar’? ‘Wings of the Princess’?

Of course it’s also worth noting that there are still some pretty hard limits to what Charlie can accomplish in terms of fixing/reforming the issues of hellish society, at least in the short term. She can’t just snap her fingers and fix classism or completely wipe out the Goetia’s authority (or the Goetia themselves). Particularly as Charlie doesn’t have the ultimate overriding authority of her father. Realistically, Charlie’s authority as Princess/Regent only just supersedes that of any of the Sins, and while that might put her above effectively ANY other one person in Hell, it also doesn’t give her absolute ‘do anything I want’ authority either. Not to mention that this is still Charlie we’re talking about, who in this timeline is still only JUST getting use to throwing her authorial weight around.

But at the same time, again there really isn’t anything anyone can do to fully STOP Charlie from doing anything either. Meaning that in the short time since assuming her new role as regent, say about a year or two, Charlie has already started making small but noticeable changes and ripples to Hell’s society.

Which brings us to this new version of Mastermind, with Charlie and Vaggie making a surprise appearance at Blitzo’s trial and Charlie actually wanting to hear the imp out. This leads to a number of other fun changes including but not limited to:

Charlie invoking both ‘Princess Regent Authority’ and ‘Favorite Niece Privileges’ to get all of the Sins voting on her side to hear Blitzo out and override literally all of the Goetia royalty.

Andy-the-not-actually-a-sister-fucker pitching a hissy fit over this and getting choke-slammed and almost speared by Vaggie.

Blitzo still finding a way to fuck up this golden opportunity by running his mouth. Because this is still Blitzo we’re talking about, and giving him a chance to talk is ALSO giving him a chance to dig himself into a deeper hole.

Stolas choosing the exact worst (and funniest) moment to dramatically burst in with his big, dramatic ‘sacrifice myself for the man I love via song number’ gambit, which actually only makes things worse/wackier when Charlie starts asking pertinent questions.

Andy pitching more hissy fits as his plans continue to unravel and getting repeatedly chokeslammed and/or kicked in the dick by Vaggie.

Striker getting dragged back in when it becomes clear there are a LOT of holes in his story, only to constantly flip-flop on his story because he can’t figure out which authority figure(s) he should be selling-out-to/kissing-up-to in order to save his own skin.

Charlie, Vaggie and even Satan becoming ever more flabbergasted as it becomes clear that the suspect (Blitzo), prosecution (Andre), defense (Stolas) and witness (Striker) in this trial are in fact ALL complete fucking idiots.

*Admittedly I do have one other possible change in mind to help reinforce this: rather than a sinner child, Vaggie actually spares an imp kid, or perhaps a sinner child and their imp kid best friend. Which leads to the imp kid actually leading Charlie to the injured Vaggie and also telling her that this angel actually helped them and got hurt doing so.*** Which again serves to reinforce just how wrong Adam and Lute and much of heaven are about demons.

** And if you’re going to ask ‘Why doesn’t Charlie just go to her dad directly and get him to do his job?’, remember that Charlie had to be practically dragged kicking and screaming by her girlfriend into calling up Lucifer for help in Hazbin. I think it’s pretty clear that pre-Hazbin, if Charlie can get what she’s after without getting her dad involved, she is ABSOLUTELY going to do it.

*** Also this hypothetical imp kid doesn’t actually show up again and DOES in fact have a living family, meaning that NO, Charlie and Vaggie DON’T ADOPT THEM. Because I KNOW that is exactly what some of you started thinking when I mentioned an unattended child in relative proximity to our heroines.

Do you think that we are getting book 8 that will focus on Grim since we almost are on the end of book 7? And how do you feel if that what happened and we get book 8 that focus on Grim and Yuu like why are they here all of that? Do you want to see a specific thing that wasn't mentioned in the main story?

Last question how do you feel about twst ending? Would you stay in the fandom or find another interest? I'm not ready for that like if twst ended I will move to twst fanfics 🥲

But to be honest with how they are using the 3D animation as inspiration too now for the new events I have hope that even if the main story ended we will still have plenty of new events coming plus we have the anime coming too and manga chapters still going. I don't want this fandom to die as soon as main story end.

Honestly I don't mind if the game kept going forever 😂 not necessarily the main story but with events and talk about the world.

Okay I talked so much sorry for the rambling.

As I have stated in the FAQ section of my pinned post (I kindly ask that people check that first before sending asks because I have been asked some variant of “what do you think about a potential book 8”/“how do you want book 7 to end” dozens of times; I don’t answer them because the answer is already out there but overlooked, but I feel bad for ignoring so many people 😅):

"I want to actually see Yuu going home and the current students moving on to the next year of schooling. We could focus on how the guys have grown and are growing, how these more mature versions of the characters interact with the incoming freshmen/first years, or the long-term consequences of their OBs (particularly Malleus's, which probably caused an international crisis). It would also be cool to learn more about RSA students after book 7, but I don’t want them to rehash the OB formula."

"As for a potential book 8, I don’t know if there’s enough evidence for it? Book 7 is cramming a lot in right now so it’s possible that all the loose ends will be tied up there. Book 8 also implies a strong focus on Ramhackle, which… I know we love Yuusonas and all, but the game cannot canonically fill in their backstory a ton or it will ruin player self-inserting/projection. That means we’d have to rely on Grim and Grim alone to be the emotional crux that somehow transcends even Malleus’s chapter. Secondly, I don’t think “Twst ending” is… the best phrasing? It’s not like the game is going to shut down as soon as book 7 finishes. Live service games close when they’re no longer financially viable, not because they finished a main story arc. Several of these kinds of games continue the main story into a new arc—and while we don’t have any official confirmation of this for Twst, it would be just silly for a money and merch machine to be shut down for an arbitrary reason. If it's not broken, then don't axe it. I would be genuinely shocked if Twst just left the main story untouched after book 7, though it may take some time before new main story stuff comes out, as the writers would have to... you know, write. Running the servers based on events alone, especially when we are not guaranteed new story events every month, doesn't sound sustainable in the long term. There's still going to be new Twst stuff coming out for a long time between the manga, anime, and light novels too. That's at least a good couple of years.

I just love the fact that Narmer is straightforward about things, it makes my shy MC's life so much easier. Sure, he turns red like a tomato but it makes it easier to avoid paranoia.

I've lost count of how many times I've been frustrated with a RO because he just wasn't direct about his feelings. Like, man, it's not that hard. Just tell me if you're interested or not. Luckily with Narmer I don't run that risk

And I also don't intend to judge his relationship with his wife or anything like that. I just don't like to judge a person based only on part of a conversation I heard and I don't even know the whole context. So suffering on my route? I'll be dodging as much as I can Imao.

Also, from what I understand, he is not officially married to his supposed wife, or is he? Considering that apparently no one knows about this woman except those closest to him or maybe Ahmose if he talks about his mother. I confess that I was a little confused in this part but it's probably because English isn't my first language and sometimes my mind just freezes haha. So I didn't understand if he wasn't officially married or the MC simply didn't know this information.

Yes, Narmer wanted to be very straightforward in letting the MC know that he is not uninterested, but it's going to be hard to be in any sort of relationship with him for many reasons. So he (and the partner) are either all in, or no deal.

The wife business was probably confusing because I didn't write in detail yet about the king's marriage rights. This will be explained a bit more in Narmer's route, so things will get clearer later if you choose his romance.

The king is the only person in the country who can have more than one spouse. Narmer is officially married to Nefru, but being married to the king doesn't automatically make someone a queen consort. The king has to give out that title. So Nefru is a consort, but she is not the main consort, and was not given any title, nor does he go anywhere with her in public, so that's why most people don't know about her. Simply for being married to the king, her official rank is princess.

Narmer could technically marry anyone else he wishes without getting a divorce. He can also make anyone else his queen consort. It's his right. (for a male MC, Narmer will figure out another title)

It will be possible to marry him, if you manage to reach at least a neutral ending with him. In the scenario you mentioned, Narmer would smile and say, "Let's not get the word out that you were the one who asked me and not the other way around, but... yes, I've been thinking about it too."

Esperian Headcanons (and musings)

Dura, Celestials and Hypogeans

Dura, representing the light, and Ygdris (I assume?), representing the dark once had consensual bed-time together and created life on Esperia (Lightbearers and everything that followed).

Gods fight and so Ygdris creates the Hypogeans, an impure species lacking the light of Dura, in order to drown the light on Esperia forever.

Hypogeans are thus created "as is". They do not grow or develop in any shape or form. They are infertile and most of them entirely unable to use their bodies for that pleasure (not least because many don't even feature those human parts). They cannot develop softer feelings or form bonds beyond that which they were given upon birth (such as a sibling bond, which is more a given fact than anything of warmth and tenderness).

Hypogeans vary in their shapes. Those more abstract often inhibit greater strength or rank, while overly human features tend to be regarded as "weak", but only within the limited flexibility of general Hypogean emotion anyway.

Hypogeans do not need to eat, drink or sleep. They can, if so built, choose to do the former, but will then slightly weaken due to their bodies processing the nutrition (including side-effects).

Hypofiends are mindless, expendable minions, a manifestation of Hypogean magic. Any Hypogean can create those and order them around to do their bidding.

Ygdris stands on top as the god and creator. There are three generals underneath him and then follow the rest of the Hypogeans. There are possible further sub-ranks but overall, not too many. Hypogeans are very rigid and know their purpose and rank, so there is little to no in-group fighting. 

A Hypogean would never kill (or betray) another Hypogean, but they do display and engage in violent behaviour over disagreements due to their god-given natures. 

Erin and Eugene were too curious upon their birth. A human feature not present in many other Hypogeans. They preferred to live by their curiosity and fascination for everything Esperians do and offer and have avoided their responsibilities in the conflict (without truly lifting a hand against their own kin BUT still). Eventually, both end up defecting. Eugene to protect the two children alongside Gavus; Erin to stay by Merlin's side (to watch over him until a final resolution to the light/dark problem could be found, which was only "temporarily" solved by Dura at that time, at the expense of her life).

Celestials are the response of Dura to Ygdris' Hypogeans. She preferred to use loyal and outstanding mortals and provided them with strength and life in order to fight and permanently destroy the Hypofiends and Hypogeans. The bodies of Celestial are in a certain frozen, eternal state. That is why they have no need for food or drink or sleep. That is why they also are no longer fertile, but still capable of experiencing the bliss of procreation. They can choose to eat and drink, but their bodies will weaken a little due to the processes taking place for digestion.

Eugene's bond with Gavus was a friendly and but strictly necessary one at first, instigated and maintained by Eugene's curiosity. But eventually, due to the constant exposure to Esperia, Eugene was able to experience change and emotional development, possibly in response to Gavus' lead, and their relationship changed to what fans seems to love so much about them. xD 

Erin, too, began to develop a deeper understanding of emotions as she continued to live by Merlin's side for centuries. What is impossible to most other Hypogeans, was possible for these siblings due to their innate curiosity and openness to change, as well as their exposure to these complexities of life. An oversight of Ygdris? ;-)

About Merlin

Due to Cyran's classmates thing, I wonder if the body of our current Merlin is one that was born only a few decades ago. He already had the habit of changing his appearance prior to the Second Divine War (for unknown reasons but observed by Hogan), and he continues more than ever after his return to not look like his true 50-60 year old human self. I doubt that he was aware of the role he needs to play while he attended the Serene Lyceum and even taught there but the war must have brought that to light, since I am certain it was concluded victorious only thanks to Merlin's interference.

BUT, I prefer Merlin to be an eternal being, with that regular memory loss (!!!) who simply enjoys stepping into the shoes of a student every once in a while to learn again. Meaning, they adjusted their appearance a little bit to attend for a couple of years alongside Cyran without attracting attention.

It would be easy to catch up with everything thanks to the vast library Merlin (and Erin) have created for themselves over the centuries, but it's also cool to use the Lyceum for that quick refresher. ;-) 

This also feeds into my idea that Merlin is a practical learner, and actually doesn't like to read and write themselves for that process. They prefer to listen and ask and apply and adjust. xD

His deeds even before and during the war were sung across the realm and since then, within that lifetime, Merlin has made that name for himself. Everyone praising Merlin in the game does so for these deeds only (and nothing any other Merlin might have done historically before).

The fact that "Merlin" is a title and handed down to eligible people (according to Dolly) as well as the fact that our Merlin isn't the first one (according to the God of Death), now this pertains to a much larger timespan than the most recent decades. It might even be several millennia and way more "Divine Wars" than the two we know about. Usually light and dark fight constantly in a never ending cycle. Periods of peace can be established but eventually the scales tip over and a new equilibrium has to be created. Thus, in the memory of the recent and current generations of Esperia, our Merlin is the first and only one of such ability and fame, regardless of the fact that a Merlin has existed previously for each of these recalibrations between light and dark.

!Spoilers Under The Cut!

A/N: SO...been a minute since I wrote fic but. Made sense since I have ideas floating around might as well write and share them. Please note not only am I rusty writing in general, this is my first attempt at these characters. Be gentle on me please XD. I do hope you all enjoy. Let me know what you think, and maybe I'll try and get another one out maybe before Act 2 drops this weekend. All this ended up being was a little drabble of a possible reunion between Ekko and Jinx because I need some Timebomb goodness. Isha making an appearance is a bonus! Fair warning I make some wild leaps about what goes on during Act 2, so beware this is based some of my speculation.

He lets it go on for a few turns into different allies before finally stopping.

Ekko knows his little shadow is nothing more than a child, judging by the sound of the sets on the stone and the occasional clang of metal being kicked or tripped on. He usually wouldn't be worried- but with no one chasing after and taking her back to where she belonged, he took it as the sign it was. To follow him so far means she is all alone. Having just gotten back across the bridge, helping an orphan wasn't something on the list of deep concerns. At least, not until it needed to be.

"As quiet as you are, I have to say it'd be easier to get around if you weren't hiding." He says softly. Light brown eyes peek around the corner, playing at being undercover without actually doing so. She is hard to make out in low and greeish light, but he manages. "You can come out. Not gonna hurt you. All safe, I promise."

His hair raises, though, when her gaze flicks back to where he can't see. By all appearances, she is getting permission. So the girl isn't alone. When she takes a few steps out, he tries to remain unsuspicious.

"Whose behind there?" He asks as he kneels while she approaches.

"Definitely not who you're expecting." A darker, familiar voice speaks.

Jinx hasn't even revealed herself before the instinct takes over, and Ekko grabs the little girl and puts her behind him.

Attempting to pull her away from the known danger sets off another problem, though- the little girl reacts as if she has been burned. Letting out a cry, she wiggles away from him quickly before running back and wrapping herself around Jinx. While she removes the hood of her cloak, revealing a far too proud smirk, another arm wraps around the kid's shoulder. His eyes quickly scan her other side. A few bombs are latched there, but no pistol or any of her bigger toys. It was not a situation he loved, but it was preferable to facing down a minigun.

When Ekko's eyes return to the child, he doesn't think someone so small has ever looked at him so frightened. Something screams this isn't right as he watches for a few seconds.

"Relax, this one, I'll admit, has a reason to be a bit jumpy." She says, directing the words at the girl. Then, leveling a look at him. "What was it Vi said you had to say when the two of ya caught up? About looking good for a dead person?"

"That makes three of us, then." He says back. "Wanna explain what is going on down here, seeing as you are my welcoming party."

"Ah, nothing much. War, revolution, infighting, and unifying! All of that. If you are looking for the Firelights, they aren't at the tree. Or what's left of it." She says with a wave of her hand and a shrug. The blood runs like ice at the words and he rounds on her.

"What did you-"

"Woah, woah, I didn't do anything. Those wackos from Noxus? They are the ones who tracked the tree. My only part was helping everyone out." She hisses back. When his face changes, so does hers—relaxing just the slightest bit. Helped them out? Months trapped away should mean nothing surprise him. But it does.

He sees her arms crossed, watching and almost waiting for him to decide how this will go. Deciding to match her lack of hostility, just this once, he looks around to the eerily empty and quiet lanes.

"Guess I got a lot to catch up on."

That brings a less taunting smirk to her face. "Just a bit."

Y'all, the idea of Shapeford has wormed its way into my head and fundamentally changed my brain chemistry at this point. I mean, hear me out real quick!

Okay, okay, strap in cause this is a bit of a longer tangent than I usually yap about. I promise I'll make it worth your while QwQ

Firstly, considering I imagine this happening on the first day of Weirdmageddon (or at the very least some time very early in it), imagine what lengths the Pines' family would need to go in order to actually beat Bill this time. They can't pull the ol' switcheroo with Standford in the shape he's in now. Literally! I've had ideas on what this could lead to, but I've been swirling it around indecisively for about the entire time I have been growing this concept. Gotta let that baby cook for a few more days I guess XD

Then there is the fact that Ford being no longer human is, by all accounts, far more of a freak than he could have ever imagined himself as. And, depending on how you think about it, it really is a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point. Hell, to drive the point home, he actually has five fingers for once (since I imagine Euclidean's naturally have 4 fingers so by all accounts Ford is still Polydactyly) but that's the least freakish thing about him by human standards. He eats out of the same whole that has his eyes, he speaks and yet has no mouth, and he is the farthest thing from anything mammalian with his physical makeup. Even worse than that, there isn't anything he can exactly do to reverse the damage at this point. He's just a shape now as his human body was obliterated beyond truly fixing. So he'll just have to live with this new form, or, ya know, go crazy trying to find a way to reverse it.

Furthermore, while I like to imagine he would try softening the blow by just telling Dipper and Mable how Bill simply turned him into a shape for entertainment, having to admit to Stanley that the real reason he can't simply be turned back is because he was by all accounts killed and reincarnated as something completely different has so much angst potential. Like, fr fr, just think of Stanley realizing Staneford actually died, and imagine the distrust and hurt he'd feel considering their rocky brotherly bond to begin with and knowing the only reason his brother is 'back' is because Bill basically went 'nuh-uh' and turned Standford into this thing. Imagine the possible guilt of never truly reconciling with said human brother before whatever he is now.

Gosh, I just realized, would Standford never be able to leave Gravity Falls then due to the barrier? Would his weirdness make it so that the whole 'going to sail the seas with your twin brother' dream Stanley had is just dead in the water?

Also, a part of me is just made so delightfully ill at imagining Standford having untapped potential power in this form but being unable to access it due to his own metal barrier of trying to be less freakish and more 'human'. Whatever that means to him by this point.

Does this make any sense? Am I actually cooking? Y'all please, I feel like I'm only one this invested in the idea of a Shape Standford Pines and it has me in a chokhold

Anyways, this New Normal AU has been on my mind, and I just needed to dig out some of the brain worms to release the pressure in my head. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk, and maybe expect some more doodles and art down the line cause I haven't even finished the possibilities.

Hello! Been a frequenter on your page and I am I’m love with your work. I have a few questions, and I’m hoping you can re-wire the truth of Greek Mythology for me. (Cause some people…..you know) 1. Have Diomedes and Odysseus met before the Trojan War? If they didn’t, did they have general knowledge of the other at least? 2. I’ve heard that Odysseus wasn’t as physically intimidating as the others, (Agamemnon, Diomedes, etc) Is that true? Because sites and docs make Odysseus seem like he is a tiny, little man who likes to ONLY think in his tent and has everyone else do his heavylifting. Does he at least have some military experience? If you had to assign a body type for him, what actor, influencer, or singer would you say, “yeah that’s him.” 3. I know that Odysseus is, at least, in the morally gray side of the universe. Does he have his moments of “honor”, or certain people’s versions of “morally correct?” Does he have moments of selflessness, bravery, or integrity?

And some silly little questions. Since Odysseus is your favorite character, If he walked into a therapists office/physical examination/got analyzed by a classification system, when he walked out, what mental evaluation would have been made. Ex. PTSD, BPD, etc. (I searched on doctor google, and they said maybe he would be on the spectrum of ASPD.) If Odysseus was alive today, would he still be a schemer, liar, etc. Would it be tamed down? Not looking for the mental gymnastics as much?

I remember answering that question in the past to someone else who was wondering of it. If we follow sources like Apollodorous for example, Diomedes was one of the suitors of Helen's and he was also bound under the Oath of Tyndareus. I suspect that was why Apollodorous wanted to explain as to why Diomedes was in the war to begin with. So under this version, Odysseus and Diomedes met for the first time in Sparta while both courted Helen. However I do side up more with other sources that do not include him because arguably Diomedes is the youngest or one of the youngest kings around and he would be very young to be courting Helen at that time (Even archaic paintings more often whatnot have him beard-less so that means he was in his 20s, maximum early 30s in the war when Iliad takes place, aka the final years so that means he joined when he was somewhere between 18-20 years of age). That also fits since some readings of the War of the Epigonoi in which Diomedes took part in, happened around 5 years before Troy when Diomedes was 14). As per readings Helen's courting happened 10 to 20 (as per Apollodorous extended narrative which again do not find me agreeable for! Hehe) years before Troy. Diomedes would literally be a child at that time. So I think it is more logical assumption to believe they met for the first time in Aulis at the gathering of the fleet. As for whether they knew each other by narrations, possibly. Judging on how the kings spoke to Diomedes about his father Tydeus, means that they had knowledge of him and his war with the other Seven against Thebes so yes I believe they have heard of each other but I do not think they actually met before Aulis. They are a generation apart after all!

Gosh...yeah I see it all the time and honestly I am soooo tired of it (I mean sure art is art and everyone is free to draw what they want but honestly I don't think I have ever seen something more inaccurate than people draw Odysseus like a tiny skinny guy and man ONLY STAYS IN HIS TENT?! Odysseus? Really? The guy that stood his ground against behemoth Ajax in their wrestling in the funeral games of Patroclus? (Sure when Ajax managed to take the upper hand for one second, Odysseus cheated and kicked him behind the knee but then they were wrestling again and literally neither of the two could come on top). Or Odysseus that basically made Irus, the beggar and all the suitors back off in wonder when he showed his body during his match against Irus (of whose jaw he broke with just ONE punch)? The guy whose back and thighs were so thoroughly described in the Odyssey that it became ridiculous!? Hahaha right!

Arguably his first description happens in the Iliad, which I am citing in this analysis of mine in the past:

Odysseus is described usually short or average to short of structure and then Homer proceeds to explain to us how he is wider in the shoulder and the chest than Agamemnon who was a head taller than him. He is described that he looks like a ram, as I mentioned to my analysis; an animal sturdy, proud and strong. Odysseus has arguably one of the best physiques out heroes despite his age (which makes one wonder how he was in his peak at the age of 30 or something)

As for whether he sat in his tent all day I think that if there is even one person who said that he hasn't read a single thing on Homer. Odysseus was always in the center of all action of the war. Yes, he does refrain from rushing in battle (In the Iliad for example he kept his troops away from action till it was their right moment to arrive or that he placed himself as almost for last to fight with Hector because yeah he wasn't in the mood on dying that day!) but he was always fighting to the front lines, he was always inserting himself in the events that were happening. He was taking part in secret missions such as the one we see in the Iliad (Diomedes and himself going to counter-spy the enemy field or in the Odyssey how he literally sneaks in Troy, which is linked to the Palladium of Athena heist story).

As I mention to that humorous post of mine; Odysseus literally does almost everything in the war; he was ambassador, he was settling things between kings when they had conflicts, he was fighting first line when he had to (but knew when to refrain from it to assure his safety and the safety of his men, thus suffering the bare minimum losses at war), he kept everyone together when he had to, he captured Helenus and extracted the prophecy from him, he went to get the Palladium himself, he came up with the Horse idea and he was one of the first inside the horse etc. Even in the Odyssey; he conquered Ismarus, he killed the suitors himself, he was ready to fight gods and monsters for his men etc. I think the sources speak on themselves.

Yes he does have military experience. For starters the slaves in his palace are called δμωαί which means "slave acquired at war" so most likely he did some of it himself. Two he has the bow that was given to him as a gift for offering assistance to Messina (although the exact length or nature of it is not mentioned in the Odyssey) and Penelope informs us that Odysseus faced the Taphian pirates before (when she mentions the incident of Antinous's father arriving to the palace chased after and begged Odysseus to save his life). Odysseus definitely has military experience (possibly his military successes made him also king while his father was alive, potentially Laertes recognized his son's talent and retired) but it seems that his military experience was not of a large or extended scale (for example like Diomedes) or of conquering nature (like Agamemnon or Diomedes, the first expanded the influence of his kingdom and the latter conquered Thebes, took control of Argos and regained control of his grandfather's lands for him) but they seem rather of domestic nature, such as the mutiny of the Taphians, an area close to his kingdom or offering assistance to a fellow king without getting too much into detail.

Hmm hard to say that I can find some straight out similarity to Odysseus that is a very good question.

As I mentioned to that ask of mine, I think the characterization of "morally gray" for Odysseus at least as far as Homer is concerned is not doing him full justice. Odysseus has no problem recognize right from wrong nor does he make bad decisions without thinking even if he knows is not morally correct. Yes, he oftentimes is ready to cheat (see for example the match of Ajax) and he is capable of twisting his words on certain things but he doesn't seem to be the type of person that consistently breaks the law for the loves of it (now his version on certain post-homeric sources such as the plays of Euripides who was consistently writing Odysseus negatively, or Conon, who is the oldest known version to my knowledge of the story in which he tries to backstab Diomedes) I do not see much to characterize him as such. Perhaps the alleged murder of Palamedes would be one (even if we do not know what the contribution of Odysseus was in the Epic Cycle for sure given how we only know Epic Cyle moments from scholiasts and later sources, but as I said I find it way too complicated matter to characterize him straight out as "morally gray" in general much less for Homer

Once again I get disappointed when people always assume that Odysseus is like the dude that would step on you to save his ass and laugh in the night about it when we have literally the lengths to which he went in the ENTIRE Odyssey which I analyze here:

Or how he went to save Diomedes in Rhapsody 11 in Iliad! He literally rushed to his assistance and gave him his chariot and stayed behind to cover his retreat. Odysseus also is named the most pious to the gods and the best when it comes to sacrifices by Zeus himself. He protects his men by literally sacrificing his own body when he was forced to accept Circe's bed and mind you he was ready to face her WITHOUT knowing how to beat her spell. Hermes just happened to be on his way. Odysseus didn't know that he would have help. He literally went towards the unknown, with just his sword at hand, to face an immortal witch without knowing what to do because he cared for his men and he was planning his way through. He was ready to fight Skylla. He also tried to test the suitors so all of them wouldn't need to die. He also scolds his wetnurse for wishing to cry out of joy upon seeing the results of the slaughter.

Even in post-homeric sources we know from Pausanias that Odysseus gave Penelope a choice whether she wanted to marry him or return to her father. So he respected her decision. In Sophocles's "Ajax" he feels sympathy for Ajax's condition and he insists upon giving him a proper burial when all other kings turned their backs on him. He also protects the body of Achilles alongside Ajax before that etc.

I think people saying Odysseus has no honor or integrity or that he is totally immoral or that he is not brave or has no selflessness simply haven't read enough of Odysseus. The entirety of the Odyssey was him trying to save what he can from his crew and placing himself in harm's way for them and protecting them with all he had.

Hmm that is an interesting question. Quite frankly I do not think it is fair to always find disorders or syndromes to the Greek heroes and such because just because someone has certain behavioral patterns doesn't necessarily mean they need to be diagnosed just like with everyday people after all. What is more certain behavioral patterns in Greek mythology can be partially "ignored" in one way given how the ancient Greek sources also speak of pre-determined events and such so the agency of the heroes is rather blurry subject but that being said here we go.

I absolutely wouldn't say that Odysseus belongs to the Antisocial Personality Disorder spectrum. Especially when Homer is concerned. I mean as per DSM-5 ASPD in order to be diagnosed we have:

A pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others, occurring since age 15 years, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:

Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors, as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest. (Odysseus doesn't conform to social norms? Who is the one in charge for sacrifices? Who respects the gods to the level of not wishing to offer assistance to people at war because they break the rules Odysseus who desires to honor the customs of Xenia to the extreme? The only "social norm" he doesn't seem to be dealing with is the direct "heroic" battle and he prefers to use wits to do his bidding. Is that outside the ideal social role? Yes. Was he though encouraged or helped by Athena? The goddess that literally dictates some basic social norms? Also yes. Him not being conformed in one specific pattern is not necessarily sign of disorder otherwise everyone's uniqueness is considered a symptom XD As for the things he steals or takes I remind you the actions were encouraged by Athena or placed up by the circumstances or dictated by prophecies and ironically most of the actions happen in harsh warfare. I doubt anyone would be judged if they stole information from an enemy base to help your side. In fact Odysseus resents the idea of stealing from the cave of Polyphemus and run even if his men want to)

Deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure. ("for personal profit or pleasure" is the key here. When does Odysseus lie and use aliases? When he needs to protect himself or when he needs to protect others for example with the suitors or Polyphemus. I mean who would go in a room full of men who wanna murder you, over 100 of them, and you would say "hey what's up! It is I!" or in Polyphemus? Who wouldn't lie or hide? In other cases when Odysseus hides his identity or lies about it is when he is not certain he is safe. He doesn't lie just to deceive others and get himself gain something that belongs to others -unless we count some versions created in future sources-. His aliases are usually created for some reason and let's be honest in the situations he was in, most of us would have done the same. Even in Philoctetes where he basically says that he would be a chameleon and slither himself in every situation when the situation calls for it, is also an interesting thing to imagine that we often do so as well don't we? We try to form ourselves up to a situation if we need to.)

Impulsivity or failure to plan ahead. (Impulsivity in certain cases is done by everyone. You do take impulsive decisions or do something out of impulse. In order for this to be pathologic one needs to be doing it consistently. Odysseus arguably always plans ahead. He literally planned the whole "I am nobody" trick so that just in case Polyphemus had allies with him the fake name would confuse them, which actually happpened. He also arguably created allies to both Tyndareus and himself with the Oath of Tyndareus. The fact that he didn't calculate Menelaus would use the oath to get Helen back 10 years later I am not sure if it actually counts as "inability to plan ahead". Also miscalculations to a plan can still happen for example not calculate the true magnitude of of the taking of Troy but again I doubt if that counts again as "failiure to plan ahead". Quite frankly his scheme to take Troy was a perfect success. The fact that several of his schemes turn boomerang against him might as well be seen through the spectrum of fate as well. As for certain impulsive things that he does aka reveling his name to Polyphemus one can say who wouldn't have done so if you think the extreme anxious situation that he was under; days and days of psychological torment and extreme anxiety with barely any sleep or proper food and such? Who wouldn't lose control?)

Irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults. (Aggressiveness is definitely part of his persona in more ways than one. But of course that is part of multiple psychological conditions including Anxiety and Depression and of course Odysseus even in Iliad was already a 10 year war veteran which again is behavior often seen in those who have been through warfare)

Reckless disregard for safety of self or others. (Regardless of safety? Odysseus? Who is always keeping his men out of harm's way or advises them to do so? At war he gets in battle when it is the best moment for him and his men, in the Odyssey he repeatedly warns them against certain decisions etc. The fact that more often whatnot Odysseus thinks of death or has some reckless or impulsive decision is again not done consistently and we see that we have moments like that in our everyday life as well)

Consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations. (Consistent irresponsibility for the man that was basically looked upon every time something bad happened to fix it? The man that always advised others to make good decisions? The man that seems the very definition of "one pays his depts" guy? I would say not. He often speaks on his emotions and mind you the fact that he managed to sustain provisions on Helios's islands and feed 40 men for an elongated amount of time while famish lasted I would say he knows how to manage his economics and such! Hahaha!)

Lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another (He bawls his eyes out of remorse in the island of Phaeakes not once but TWICE when he hears a man singing about Troy. Odysseus is not void of emotion or of the essence of right or wrong and he definitely shows remorse for his actions or he knows when he has to admit it for example he knows the act of murder of the suitors was arguably wrong and yet necessary as per Athena's advise as well but again as far as Homer is concerned)

Of course bear in mind that I am no psychologist or psychiatrist so these are my interpretation as someone who is enthusiastic on psychology.

As I said above I think people making Odysseus's lies as something that consists his whole persona as if he has nothing else to offer is wrong in the first place because if one thinks the conditions he lived in he was always on his guard and worried. So even if one speaks on the lies being too many, they are not necessarily a product of ASPD. Lying is also part of others like PTSD or Depression given how many people lie out of fear or worry over something.

That being said if in modern age Odysseus was a survivor of a terrible tragedy and a war veteran on top of that then absolutely he would act on a similar basis as well as others

So instead of that I think one thing I would "diagnose" Odysseus with, again based on the homeric poems mainly would be

PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)

For PTSD as per DSM-5:

A. Exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury, or sexual violence in one (or more) of the following ways:

Directly experiencing the traumatic event(s). (Ι mean...no need to elaborate here now do we?)

Witnessing, in person, the event(s) as it occurred to others. (This speaks on its own. He has experienced both trauma at war by being hurt or chased after or under stress or he was raped and used lost and almost died multiple times or witnessed people die around him such as his fellow kings -Ajax- or his comrades)

Learning that the traumatic event(s) occurred to a close family member or close friend. In cases of actual or threatened death of a family member or friend, the event(s) must have been violent or accidental. (He literally met his mother in the underworld who told him she died of sorrow while waiting of him, he saw his comrade Elpenor and he found out he died, he heard that his wife was struggling and that his father lost his mind among others)

Experiencing repeated or extreme exposure to aversive details of the traumatic event(s) (e.g., first responders collecting human remains: police officers repeatedly exposed to details of child abuse). (This part is tricky because as far as the Odyssey is concerned we do not know how often Odysseus was experiencing dreams or flashbacks of what happened although arguably he was always remembering it, for example when he was mistreated by the suitors he was reminding himself to endure because he had endured worse before and he remembers Polyphemus so we can assume he definitely had some close calls with his past and dreams before or at least that he constantly thinks of them)

So as per the B section of DSM we do have the factor of reoccurring memories or dreams. As I said as far as Odyssey is concerned we do not have much on the stimuli through dreams however if I may draw the attention to one of the factors:

Recurrent Involuntary and intrusive distressing memories of the traumatic event(s) (Odysseus cries his eyes out once a heroic song about Troy begins to play. His memory of the war sneaks in to the point that he blows his anonymity and not only that his memory is stimulated enough to say his story and explain himself to the presented members)

As per the C part of it:

C. Persistent avoidance of stimuli associated with the traumatic event(s), beginning after the traumatic event(s) occurred, as evidenced by one or both of the following:

Avoidance of or efforts to avoid distressing memories, thoughts, or feelings about or closely associated with the traumatic event(s). (Odysseus doesn't want to reveal his identity again. When he is taken in by Nausicaa he hides who he is. He doesn't speak on himself. He avoids the subject altogether. He knows he has little to no possibility to get the help he needs without honoring the part of Xenia law that involves himself to reveal who he is and yet he is not ready to speak up)

Avoidance of or efforts to avoid external reminders (people, places, conversations, activities, objects, situations) that arouse distressing memories, thoughts, or feelings about or closely associated with the traumatic event(s). (Odysseus refuses to take part to athletic activities in Scheria. He doesn't want to blow his cover but also potentially he knows that this brings him memories from the funerary games of the army. He also knows he will always go in full force at what he does so participating would blow his cover and potentially make him reveal who he is, something he avoids)

D. Negative alterations in cognitions and mood associated with the traumatic event(s), beginning or worsening after the traumatic event(s) occurred, as evidenced by two (or more) of the following:

Inability to remember an important aspect of the traumatic event(s) (typically due to dissociative amnesia and not to other factors such as head injury, alcohol, or drugs). (This one doesn't apply here because Odysseus has a very sharp memory. He explains everything in detail. We also do not see him in Homer abusing alcohol or anything else -and I mean it IS an ancient text after all Homer was no psychologist)

Persistent and exaggerated negative beliefs or expectations about oneself, others, or the world (e.g., “I am bad,” “No one can be trusted,” ‘The world is completely dangerous,” “My whole nervous system is permanently ruined”). (Odysseus often talks with regret about his decisions during his narration but he also expresses rage many times over on the events that took place. He also calls his comrades "mindless" many times over especially on events that marked his trip's outcome such as the sack of Aeolus or the cows of Helios. Of course that is only natural in one essence so it doesn't necessarily need to be a symptom but I am throwing that to the table)

Persistent, distorted cognitions about the cause or consequences of the traumatic event(s) that lead the individual to blame himself/herself or others. (Once more even though Odysseus doesn't specifically speak on cause and effect apart from the mentions we get in the Odyssey but he does seem to try and figure the root of the problem. He is also speaking negatively on himself or speaking on shameful moments of his trip also certain things like Imsarus he just mentions them. He doesn't even get to elaborate those but moments such as Charybdis or Skylla etc were thoroughly described! Or the shipwreck)

Persistent negative emotional state (e.g., fear, horror, anger, guilt, or shame). (Once again explanation not needed; ashamed to be washed by maidens, fear that he might be trapped again, angry and irritated, feeling guilt. All the emotions in the Odyssey are here)

Markedly diminished interest or participation in significant activities. (He is not interested in showing his potential to the Phaeakes or speak of his name or heritage even when he heard the song for the first time so he might have clues that they are positively thinking towards him)

Feelings of detachment or estrangement from others. (He is a stranger, a beggar. He sits in the corner. Most of the time he is silent. He is the oddity in the room. He doesn't become the center of attention till his emotions betray him and he has to speak to the Phaeakes on who he is)

Persistent inability to experience positive emotions (e.g., inability to experience happiness, satisfaction, or loving feelings). (He is crying for seven years at the beach longing for his home. He is rarely ever pictured laughing. His feelings of distrust and anger continue and expand even to his wetnurse whom he feels he has to threaten in order to be on the safe side. He feels betrayed by the gods even as he calls out to Athena and reminds her that she didn't help him when he needed her the most)

E. Marked alterations in arousal and reactivity associated with the traumatic event(s), be ginning or worsening after the traumatic event(s) occurred, as evidenced by two (or more) of the following:

Irritable behavior and angry outbursts (with little or no provocation) typically expressed as verbal or physical aggression toward people or objects. (Odysseus definitely shows irritable behavior through and through to the Iliad when he beats up Thersites to make an example out of him or when he loses control when Eurylochus hurts his ego by calling out to him for being enchanted by Circe and he basically brings up a painful memory; the Cyclops incident. Odysseus cannot take this and he is ready to literally slay his brother-in-law on the spot and he is stopped by the others)

Reckless or self-destructive behavior. (HERE is where I would put some of that recklessness we see in the Odyssey; Odysseus wishing to rescue his men no matter what; he is ready to fight a goddess with little to no plan to save the little he has left of men after his loss by the Laestrigonians, he is ready to fight Skylla for them, he provokes the suitors to see who is rotten and who is not.)

Hypervigilance. (No explanation needed here! Odysseus constantly sees enemies and reasons to distrust people. He doesn't allow his men near the sack of winds, he remains awake even to do it all by himself. He saw danger to the bay of Laestrygonians and tied his ship outside the bay -and he was proven right-, despite the fact he was in friendly company, he hides himself from the Phaeakes and he constantly tests or measures people, even his wetnurse needs to be threatened in his mind, even the loyal slave Eumeus needs to wait a bit before fully trusted to be placed within the scheme he was planning. Even when the Phaeakes were proven true to him and brought him home, when he woke up and he didn't recognize his own country, his first thought was that the Phaeakes tricked him.)

Exaggerated startle response. (He literally grabs his wetnurse by the throat when she is ready to shout. He is even threatening on top of that to make sure that she will not speak up despite his orders)

Problems with concentration. (This doesn't seem to apply here since Odysseus is hyper focused most of the time either when he tells his story or when he is planning the murder of the suitors)

Sleep disturbance (e.g., difficulty falling or staying asleep or restless sleep). (This one again is tricky since we have no clue but at the moments we see Odysseus sleeping for example during his return, we see him sleep peacefully. We do not see much on nightmares he might or might not have. Perhaps he has some but the thought of his homeland puts him at peace)

Suicidal thoughts are also common and Odysseus thought about ending his own life many times over in the Odyssey; from the moment the sack of winds was opened and he saw his home away once more till the moment he was at Calypso's isle and he was thinking of death daily.

The dude even had a syndrome named after him known as "Ulysses Syndrome" or migrant syndrome of chronic and multiple stress Basically it involves chronic stress especially for people who spent years in anxiety while moving from one place to another (to put it very roughly)

Okay please psychologists and psychiatrists do not come and have my head for this I am only doing this for fictional characters and not for real people, I am just enthusiast of psychology and not an actual psychologist so yeah...guys be gentle with me! XD

But yeah I think this whole thing on "Odysseus is a liar" as if that is his reason of existence or that he is like a pathological liar or that he doesn't have any sort of moral code I feel like it misses the whole point of the homeric hero (although some examples of post-homeric and roman sources might fit that better)

Naoya knew this day was coming and yet, no matter the amount of preparation, or anxiety he had to ignore… he was just as nervous as he was the moment you told him your father wanted to meet him.

Well, did he ever expect otherwise? Surely a caring father, like the one you described to him (he’s not that lucky to know such privileges), would want to see just what type of guy managed to captivate his daughter’s affection, enough to date…

And judge if he was fitting to continue doing so.

Naoya didn’t even want to ponder the possibility of no longer being permitted to be with you… but it was an idea he could not scratch out just yet, more so since the sneering remarks of your siblings would continuously push him closer and closer to that idea.

As if they somehow already knew what your father had concluded. As if he had no chance of redemption, his reputation always preceding him, to the point of reaching his ears and… deciding he was simply unsuitable for you. Even before getting to see with his own eyes that he wasn’t that same pompous heir everyone knew about.

At least not to you anymore!!

But you, ah, he knew he could always count of you. And with your impeccable timing, knew just when exactly to step in and cease their torment over him.

“Ignore them, they’re just trying to scare you!” you say, gently cupping his face and kissing his cheek. “You’ll do fine, my dad isn’t as scary as they make him to be. Not at all, really, now that I think about it. He can be, but all dads are like that when angry with their kids, right?”

Naoya wasn’t so sure your perspective of scary aligned with his, but one thing he was absolutely sure of now: you were right.

Your father couldn’t be that bad if he had you as a daughter; the caring, sweet, beautiful woman he utterly fell in love with and would do anything to show said devotion.

But he also had your siblings, so…

Either way, after enough preparation (and courage to not bail on your family), Naoya makes way to your home. You invited him to join you and your siblings on the customary train back to your home once the weekend arrived, just so he’d have an easier time getting there.

But he refused, citing he still had some things to prepare before the fated day.

“Are you sure?” you quietly insisted; it might’ve not been much, but you were really looking forward to spending the following days with him. All of your time, really, but this moment was far more special because it’d be his first time coming to your house.  “You doing all this is getting me nervous! You’re just meeting my dad…”

«Exactly» he thinks, but remains quiet as to not further anguish you.

“I’m just making sure everything goes perfectly.” He reassures you, placing one last kiss on top of your head before sending you off to the train. “I can’t risk it, mochi. You’re just too precious to me”

You blush.

“Now you’re making me feel like I’m not doing enough…”

“You are, princess. Just by merely existing.”

“ If you say so…” you pout. “Well, you gotta be there! There’s so much I want to show you at my hometown you cannot miss it! Or I’ll never forgive you…”

“I’ll be there.” Naoya swears. Hopefully, still as your boyfriend. Most definitely so.

“We shouldn’t be doing all this for him, dad. He doesn’t deserve it.” Your sister uttered under her breath; you frowned, ready to step in and defend your boyfriend, but thankfully, your dad thought just the same.

“Hinata…we don’t say those things about our guests.” Your father warns.

“I’m just saying the truth, we could’ve gone to a restaurant or something, instead of wasting our efforts…” She insisted, hypocritically so, since she probably wouldn’t even spend more than a few yen on him. He could easily afford it, if anything, why are they doing all this?? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?!

“Well, it’s only appropriate that we do so for Y/N’s new boyfriend.” Eiichi goes on. “It’s a way to welcome him to the family.”

“Welcome—no! It’s Naoya we’re talking about!!” Hinata cries. “Have you forgotten his reputation?!”

“If you don’t behave, Hinata, I’ll have to ask you to not attend dinner.”

Your sister sighs. defeated.

“At least keep it to a minimum.” Eiichi adds, knowing well that he’ll never be able to tame his daughter’s scrutiny towards Naoya. But he guesses he couldn’t be too harsh on her, there was some truth behind her words— the Zen’in’s weren’t known for being precisely nice.

Yet, his oldest son bore much wisdom when reminding them of your discernment, if Naoya wasn’t to be trusted then your relationship would’ve been a short-lived one.

Nonetheless, as your father… as your siblings, they had a duty to worry about your well-being.

Just as Naoya, evidently so in the way he presented himself before your family, shockingly yet just in time.

“Naoya you—you dyed your hair?!” you gasped upon noticing his blonde locks to be… well, gone! Alongside his piercings, each and every single one of them, out of his ear and neatly kept somewhere hidden.

It was like ae was a completely different man! Not bad looking, in fact, quite handsome. Very handsome…

But he was not the Naoya you knew, the one you fell in love with, and certainly not the one your father expected.

“You really didn’t have to do all that…” you mutter whilst guiding him towards the dining room.

“I know, I know.” He breathes, exasperated because in most families, he knew that to be right.

Just not his.

He should’ve never awaited any kind of help from his relatives, and truth to be told, he didn’t. They were just a bunch of old geezers that arrogantly proclaimed themselves above others, demanded respect and the importance that came with it, yet were the least deserving of such things. What could they possibly know of considering for others, taking the time to know them, make a good impression, if they simply took, took, and took?

They weren’t even diplomatic about it. No negotiations, no compromises, nothing. Just pure selfishness he once was all too aware of.

But he supposed that their outdated ways weren’t completely useless if they still provided guidance of sorts, the notion that for someone of your father’s age and family background, he might be appreciative of traditions—in other words, Naoya had to purge all contemporary aspects of his appearance if he is to appease that side, and subsequently, his approval.

“Well, you look handsome nonetheless.” You smile, placing a chaste kiss on his lips before opening the doors to the room your family eagerly awaited.

Normally, Naoya would’ve taken time to admire his surroundings, it was the house you grew up in, after all. Where you spent most of your time, doing this that made you… you.

But his tormented mind couldn’t even bother glancing anywhere else that wasn’t your family, their seemingly scrutinizing facades and how insignificant he felt before them.

Was it too late for him to back out? Did he make a mistake in accepting your invitation? Did he need more time to prepare, or will that ever even happen?????

No. He can’t run away. And not because he didn’t want to disappoint you, but rather, because he physically couldn’t—frozen on the spot when it was time to finally acknowledge your father.

“Oh, um… Naoya’s here, dad. Everyone.” You breathe, a shiver running through your spine when uttering those words, fretting upon seeing their shocked reaction at Naoya’s… normal looking appearance.

“He—hello.” Naoya stammers, swallowing as he swiftly wipes away the sweat off his palms on his garment, and subsequently bowing, trying to greet everyone while appearing unaffected by his nerves—to no avail. “Mr… L/N.”

“What the hell happened to him??” You could hear Hinata whisper, prompting your father to speak up.

“Ah, Naoya. I’m glad you could make it!” Your father didn’t seem to notice this change, perhaps unaware of the heir’s everyday appereance, or a bit more polite to not act upon it. “I hope you didn’t have any trouble finding our home”

“Oh—no, not at all. Your directions were very… intuitive.” Naoya responds, making Hinata roll her eyes.

“Intuitive? What does that even mean?” your sister scoffs. Ren carefully elbows her shut.

“You have a charming home, L/N-san.” Your boyfriend compliments, and for the briefest of moments, your father’s eyes brighten at his words.

“Thank you, my wife did most of the decorations and we’ve kept it that way since.” There were some warnings you gave him beforehand, what topics to avoid and such—your mother being one of them. Thankfully (or more like unfortunately), Naoya was all too empathetic to missing such important figure, and thus, knows well to prod no further.

Though he couldn’t help but feel… a bit moved by your father’s appreciation. If only his clan harbored such care towards his own mother—

“No, thank you for inviting me. I… I’m really honored to be here.” Naoya continues; and your father… well, he seems to be taking a liking to him up to now. Though he’s more perplexed by his preconceived notions shattering before him.

When he expected Naobito’s kid to be nothing short of a direct reflection of him: rash, crude, and undoubtedly the prime example of the type of man he did not want to get near you…

He’s been quite courteous, enough to change his appearance to seem more… acceptable before his eyes. If he were selfish as many proclaimed, he wouldn’t have gone through these changes just to obtain his favor. Certainly not for a clan as insignificant as his when compared to the Zen’in’s.

However…

“Come on, take a seat.” Your father gestures towards to two empty chairs, coincidentally, right across of him, which only made Naoya grow even more nervous.

When he shouldn’t be, really. Your father hasn’t given him any particular reason to feel such way, if anything, just proved what he long imagined, what you’ve reaffirmed through occasional anecdotes:

«He’s very… doting. No, cloying! That’s what he is! But… I guess I don’t really mind it.»

Everything appears to align…

“Are you hungry?” Your father asks.

“Yes. Of course, I prepare accordingly for dinner.” Naoya responds.

“Prepare?” Hinata raises an eyebrow. “All you needed to do is not eat…”

“Hinata!” Your father breathes, having enough of her snarky remarks.

“Sorry.”

…Except for this unprecedented sided of him.

As if witnessing a miracle, Naoya stares at the two dumbfounded while your father apologizes in behalf of your sister.

That, he’s seen before, countless times with you amongst others that still cared to save her reputation… but for someone to actually put a stop to her senseless bickering? Now that is a once in a lifetime event he was all too glad to have witnessed first-hand!

He’s glad to say that he actually likes your father very much now, in fact, looked forward to the kind of relationship the two would develop as time went on.

You were right all along, all this time, there was never really anything to worry about that much. And the smile you discreetly give him—alongside your father’s and brother’s amicable behavior toward him, as if they genuinely wanted him there… proves just that.

It’s a nice change of pace, for when was the last time he’s ever been received with content? Like they actually enjoyed their presence? Last time he checked, that description only fit you.

However, the highlight of this evening had to be the stories your father eventually shared of your childhood: seems you’ve always been the silly type of girl he was bound to fall in love with, your obsession over mochi and Gengar persistent since the moment you were born.

Alongside other embarrassing moments from your siblings too, things he could use as blackmail if the moment ever arises—of course, he wouldn’t be so eager as to show with his cards just yet, he’d keep his intentions hidden until the right moment. Though by Hinata’s pale reaction upon becoming the center of attention, seems she understood the implications of such discoveries, enough to consider being cautious around Naoya from that point forward.

Ren didn’t care; more like grew to not care for. His father had always been… giddy like this, might as well accept it and move on.

It’s these small interactions that finally manage to loosen up Naoya, enough to offer his own share of anecdotes, but not too much, he had a reputation to preserve, a cool appearance to upkeep! As a handsome, strong, cool, boyfriend that would give you the world just to see you smile—and not the dork some people liked to make fun of.

And by the end of dinner, just after dessert and once everyone began to clean up, Eiichi appears to have accepted that when offering Naoya to stay the night over if needed.

“I do not wish to impose.”

“Nonsense, it’s the least I could do for my daughter’s boyfriend.”

«It can’t be that easy» Naoya thought to himself as he eventually accepted his offer. «Surely this… couldn’t be the blessing to date Y/N, could it?»

Not quite.

“Y/N, pumpkin, I’d like to speak in private with Naoya, if you’d allow me.” Your father suddenly says, with a nickname that sparks your embarrassment, but not defiance in obeying him.

Nor any kind of alarm in Naoya’s part when following him inside the adjacent room, leaving the rest to the kitchen.

“Is there something I can help you with, L/N-san?” Naoya begins, believing this to be another friendly conversation in the motion.

“I believe so. After all, you’ve offended me.” Eiichi suddenly declares, making your boyfriend’s blood turn cold on the spot, growing slightly dizzy as his heart sinks into his stomach.

“Wh—what?” Naoya manages to breathe, followed by desperate attempts to fix his seeming mistakes. “Oh, L/N-san, I never meant—"

“Easy there, Naoya. I was just being dramatic for the sake of it!” Eiichi chuckles, a reaction that does little next to nothing to calm your boyfriend—he’s now unwittingly prompted into high alert, much to your father’s immediate regret.

“You didn’t have to change your appearance to impress me, Naoya. Though I appreciate the effort, I’d rather know the actual man that is dating my daughter.” Your father continues, his words resonating inside Naoya and giving him a clear, but erroneous message:

You’ve disappointed me and are no longer permitted to date my daughter.

Perhaps the only thing left for him to do is… beg for his forgiveness, and hope that he’d at least permit him to see you from afar.

“I’m sorry.” Naoya begins. “It was never my intention offend you or your daughter, I simply wanted—”

“No, Naoya—I didn’t mean to sound like I’m scolding you!” Eiichi insits, feeling sorry for the poor kid. He’s been in his shoes, knows what it is to not want to fumble the love of his life… but these are still necessary procedures, and such, he shall continue. “I’m just asking you to be honest with me, and my family. I’m sure Y/N would appreciate either way.”

“Does… Does that mean…?” Naoya responds, Eiichi nods. “I won’t make you regret it; I’ll treat your daughter like she’s the most important in the whole world… like she already is to me! There’s nothing I won’t do for her; I’ll make her happy, I swear!”

“I don’t doubt it.” Eiichi says, all too knowledgeable of the Zen’in’s resources and Naoya’s determination which he’s heard more than plenty from you, alongside all the countless gifts stored away in many rooms… Naturally causing another question to arise. “However, I still need to clarify some things.”

“Of course, ask whatever you need.” Naoya obliges.

“Ultimately what are your intentions with my daughter?” he asks. It’s a pretty straight forward question, conventional to what all father desired to hear, with a usually simple answer too: something about taking care of her, making her happy…

Just never a vision that extended beyond the immediate future… for the rest of your life.

“I wish to marry her.”  Naoya declares. “I’ve… known so since we… since I’ve met her, actually. There was something pulling me to her that I couldn’t describe until I finally got to meet her. Now it’s only clear to me. I want to devote myself to make her happy for the rest of my life. Y/N will never lack anything; anything she wants and needs, she’ll have it. Y/N has made me the happiest man in the whole world, and I wish to repay such kindness anyway possible.”

You’re in safe hands; that much he could see in Naoya’s genuine words.

But of course, he’s still your father, your loving, overprotective father that is bound to set down boundaries to protect you.

“Alright. I give you my blessing to date my daughter, not that you needed it since my daughter can be quite stubborn, if I said you couldn’t date her, I’m sure she would’ve found a way around that.” Eiichi jests, Naoya chuckles along. That much he could agree now that the tension in the air slowly begins to dissipate. “However, just because I’m allowing this relationship to continue in good terms doesn’t mean I can’t demand certain expectations to be fulfilled.”

“Of course, sure, yes. Wh—what can I do?”

“I—yeah, right, of course.” Naoya nods, immediately agreeing to all his requests, even though some of them… It’s foul to agree to such terms when they’re already broken, but he shall do so anyways. “I won’t offend your daughter or you in any shape or form.”

“You better not, I know what it is to be in love at that age but you two are still young and have much to worry about first, like your education!” Eiichi continues. “So, I don’t want you doing anything that might hurt her career!”

“Never.” Naoya responds nervously, shaking his head.

“But most importantly… take it easy.” Eiichi finalizes. “As I said, you two are still young with much to look forward to. Take this time to enjoy all that life can offer, and, if destiny finds it suitable to intertwine both your fates, then so it shall be.”

“I will.” He repeats, your father smiles.

“I know.” And yet, something else seems to linger in the back of his mind, a shadow of worry caster over his features that prompts Naoya to ask.

“Is there… something else you wish to tell me?”

“…Take care of my Y/N.”

“I wi—”

“I know, I know. Unfortunately, I didn’t mean you.”

Naoya blinks.

“I don’t mean my words to upset but… I can’t help but be aware of your family’s reputation; if I were to be honest, it’s what mostly has me on edge about you and my daughter.”

He knew this was only a matter of time before the topic of his clan was brought up, before it turned detrimental, contrary to beneficial, when it came to your presence in his life.

But he’s always fought back against the burden of those he had the misfortune of being his relatives; this will be no different.

“I understand.” Naoya adds. “I won’t let my family hurt her—I’ll do whatever it takes to do so.”

Eiichi smiles, giving him a gentle, reassuring pat on the shoulder. It’s unfortunate that such things have to come between the two…  “Welcome to the family, kid. Now, go on back to Y/N, I’m sure she’s growing hysterical by the second for being away from you.”

“Ah, right… Thank you.” Naoya blushes, rejoicing his warm welcome into your life for a bit before promptly dismissing himself, finding you just outside the room attempting to act nonchalantly, as if you hadn’t been eavesdropping on their conversation—or at least attempt to do so, the walls while thin, still muffled any sound from within.

“…What happened? Is everything ok?” you naturally fret, a pale look on your face that tells Naoya you’ve been anything but patient. Or optimistic.

“It is now.” Naoya responds, taking a step closer to you and kissing for forehead.

“What did you two talk about?”

Naoya smiles.

“Nothing important, don’t worry your pretty little head about anything.”

You pout, he nods, reassuring he wasn’t lying—partially, at least.

“Well, I guess we no longer have to keep our relationship a secret anymore! That’s… quite liberating, isn’t it?” You continue, taking ahold of his hand before sighing. “I’m really happy to have you here, even if my siblings were being annoying as usual...”

“It wasn’t all bad, I got to see a new side of you too.”

“Stop it, I never want you bringing that up!” you gasp.

“Why? It’s not like I didn’t know how obsessed you were over Pokémon—are, really. Or how you always spoke about me...” He snickers, you blush as he pinches your cheek. “It just makes you cuter.”

“Whatever! Let’s just move on—I still gotta show you around the house! And of course, set up where you’re going to sleep—you are staying the night, right?—Oh this is so exciting, I’ve already have an idea on how I can accommodate my room so—”

Naoya freezes.

“I—I’d rather sleep separately tonight. If that’s ok with you.” Naoya says, your father’s warning words crawling in the back of his mind. “You know, to…”

You frown. Just one gesture was enough to have him backtracking.

Naoya silently apologizes to your father as he succumbs to your desire; it’s just that… how could he ever deny you? It was against what he swore to him just a few moments ago.

“If it’s alright by you, then it is for me.”

“How could it not?! You’re my boyfriend!!” you giggle, standing on your toes and kissing his cheek. “I’m just happy you’re here with me, finally...”

He’ll worry about making amends with your father. He supposes that in these situations it’s always easier to forgive than to ask for permission.

Though he doubts he’ll be in much trouble, for just as he stated, he was doing nothing but fulfilling his life-long promise and devotion to you and your family:

Since the timeline is currently before the whole Trojan War/Odysseus arc we don't really get to see it, but here's how it would go

a) Athena would not leave Odysseus in the first place bc she has a bunch more emotional maturity atp in time (she already had her "not looking for a friend" arc with somebody else a couple hundred years earlier)

b) God Games could ofc still happen, so if it came to it, she would 100% go for it. Idk what Zeus would be thinking to pit her against her siblings, literally all of which she has a good relationship with, and Hera, who would also not stand against her, so the "game" part might just be for show

c) At least one of the others gets a lightning bolt too bc they tried to step in. There's no way around. It's either Hera or Ares for certain, though now I kinda wanna see Aphrodite do it.

d) Ody would also very possibly know more of the gods personally. Like Hera and Hephaestus at least bc they were on his side of the war And he would so have immunity from the gods attacks in the war bc he's under Athena's protection. In general, due to a chunk of Olympus being very tight-knit and familial, Telemachus might just get a lot of blessings when he's born XD Gods so many myths change if you make Hera nice istg what is my canon anymore lol

Been holding a thought on my brain for too long abt putting Desmond in Situations: have you watched Dimension 20's The Unsleeping City? At least s1. Bc 1) watch it, it's so good & 2) I specifically in this situation think abt Bad Weather being the normal version of the bar in Broadway that Kingston & Misty go to. Pre-canon Desmond seeing past the Umbral Arcana & getting involved in magic shenanigans..... Yeah.

You know his latent Eagle Vision is peeling out & seeing the magic shit happening in New York City. You KNOWWWWW. Please tell me one of your followers has been thinking this too.

I have good news for you, nonny, because I have just started watching Dimension 20 this year but I am a slow watcher so I’ve only gotten as far as the first 3 episodes of Unsleeping City season 2 (atm, I think my fav D20 moment is with the Bad Kids’ “Spring Break, I believe in you!” XD). I’m one of those few people who’s pathway to D&D and TTRPG is Oxventure→No Rolls Barred/Chaotic Neutral→Mystery Quest so I am absolutely late to the party XD

Anyway, for this one, we need to do a bit of housekeeping.

I’m basing this on the title of the opening theme New York 2006 because I think that’s the year Season 1 was set (feel free to correct me though)

This means that Desmond would be 19 at that point and we can push it that he’s already working in Bad Weather.

Now, I like the idea that Bad Weather is the normal version of the bar that Kingston and Misty goes to but, may I suggest an alternative?

An earlier possible way to add Desmond to all these shenanigans is to make Bad Weather one of the bars Sofia and Kugrash go to for their ‘hairy baby free drinks scam’.

Towards the end, maybe the last bar they go to, Desmond walks up to Sofia and requested that they leave because the big rat pet she had would make other customers uncomfortable.

Sofia and Kugrash are already drunk at this moment but they hear Desmond call Kugrash a rat and are like “you can see him???”.

Kugrash immediately remembers Desmond as one of the homeless kids he helped when Desmond first moved into the city and had clocked him as ‘strange’ because there was something about him that felt... not exactly magical but almost magical-adjacent.

This ends with Sofia and Kugrash inviting Desmond to their new party as a recruit (with Sofia thinking both (1) this boy needs someone in his life to take care of him and now I’m trying not to cry because my cheating (as far as she knows) husband and I never had kids and (2) maybe he and Pete can get along as newbies with me)

And that is how our Intrepid Heroes managed to recruit an Assassin Rogue who may or may not multiclass to Gloom Stalker in a different playstyle to Liam Wilhelmina.

Unorganized Notes:

This is a Desmond who doesn’t know about his destiny or his ancestors but his training on the Farm is so ingrained into him that it makes him a Rogue.

Because of his lack of knowledge, we can argue that he could turn into a Thief Rogue instead of Assassin in this one because he had never assassinated anyone before.

In terms of playstyle, he’d actually be more a close combat attacker that uses some kind of switchknife with sneak attack being part of 'bonus action: hide -> main action: sneak attack')

Another suggestion I have is for Desmond to subclass as Phantom, more because of ‘Whisper of the Dead’ where every short or long rest, he can gain one skill or tool proficiency and the flavor text describes it as one of the ghostly presence shares its knowledge to the user. Desmond has no idea what this means because this is pre-canon but this is actually his ancestors managing to create a link to him in some form thanks to the Umbral Arcana mixing with his ‘destiny’.

If you want Desmond to be given the illusion of choice and not be a Rogue, we can make him a Warlock ‘worshiping’ an unknown Fathomless. In this setup, they don’t know who Desmond’s patron is and Desmond himself just shrugs because he can do magic so that’s nice. Part of his deal is that he receives messages from his patron in the form of texts on his phone. They all come from an unknown number he can’t call and the texts are always like ‘The Scholar is pleased with your desire to learn about the history of this place’ or ‘The Prophet is worried of your health and asks that you requests your companions for a rest’ or ‘The Hunter suggests you still find a weapon even if you are using magic’ and this is some weird shit even for Kingston because it seems like Desmond has multiple patrons or maybe even an entire pantheon of unknown gods/beings.

Abstergo is going to be so fucked in this one because, by the time they try to kidnap Desmond, he’d probably be around level 10~12 and maybe even living with Pete in his apartment.

And yes. Desmond absolutely knows Ricky as Mister March as well XD
