tbh, even when i first read the books as a kid i was pretty much entirely interested in the marauders (like dog-eared every page where remus was mentioned kinda thing) so i haven't given much thought into it. but this was very inspiring so <3

Tbh the problem with ship wars is that everyone tries to find a moral high ground to prove their ship is superior when actually shipping should be about making two characters kiss like a kid playing with barbie dolls

Sirius who very anxiously comes out to a very confused James who thought him and Remus were openly dating for like 3 years, while Sirius didn't even know Remus was gay and Remus himself was convinced James and Sirius were a thing.... anyway they're all idiots (affectionate)

Based on what I know, I do not think Sirius and Regulus were even taught being gay was possible. I think Walburga/Orion refused to teach them it even exists. So I imagine them finding out like this:

Sirius: Yeah, if I was a girl I would probably date Remus to be honest. Such a shame it’s impossible for me to like him.

James: Impossible? What do you mean??

Sirius: Well you can only like people of the opposite gender.. right?

James: …No, you can like people of the same gender, that exists. It’s a thing.
