Hello Tamelee, I wanted to ask you if you agree with some popular claims in the Naruto (-Shippuden) fandom about Kishimoto and his writing. If you could give your opinion on the claims I would be very happy ☺️ Sorry for my English by the way, it is not my mother tongue.

1) Claim: Kishimoto does not know how to write woman.

2) Claim: Kishimoto does not know how to write romance.

3) Claim: Kishimoto wrote NaruSasuNaru on an accident. He did not meant to write them as gays.

4) Claim: Kishimoto forgets characters (Neji, Hinata and Sakura etc.). The story focuses to much on the relationship Naruto and Sasuke.

5) Claim: Kishimoto sucks writing Sakura like Sakura character is bad writing.

6) Claim: Kishimoto is an homophobe.

Ah yes. With these often there’s also “Kishimoto is a misogynist” and the “missed potential of the female characters”. 

It’s a broad and complicated topic tbh (or you could make it as complicated as you want..) because people bring in a lot of real life/political baggage into the conversation about this (unnecessarily imo)- largely surrounding Sakura and Hinata.

I only partly agree because most of Kishimoto’s female characters aren’t great compared to their male counterparts. But, from little snippets of his interviews it is very obvious that he always enjoyed writing through male-characters as were all his stories incl the rejected ones and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that especially when we look at the targeted audience. That’s all. That is enough reason.. and it hasn’t so much to do with him not being able to, because there are female characters that are fine. 

Kishimoto could’ve developed some of them better.. but didn’t. I don't believe that is because of a lack of skill.

Sakura’s (and even Hinata’s) lack of development (= development which the fans wanted to see) had purpose and they were largely cast aside and underdeveloped (with purpose!!!) in order to show (contrast/)something else as well; the bond/love between Naruto and Sasuke. 

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Saori (Mario), Tsunade, Ino, Temari, Konan or Kushina even. What do you expect more from Shonen? I would’ve loved to see more background about some of them, but story-wise it wouldn’t have been necessary. If he was going to flesh out any of the other characters (like many wanted from Tenten) it should’ve been with purpose, it would’ve had meaning.. Otherwise you’d just be thinking to yourself “why did I just read/watch this? Why exactly did Kishimoto want to show this thing about this character and why does it matter to the story? Is there a parallel, or could this be foreshadowing?”

So.. he didn’t and to me that makes sense. This story is about Naruto and despite him being the mc- it is also about Sasuke and their journeys about becoming great Ninja. Not “pinkyflinky and her selfish love for her cool-looking classmate.” 

It is great to want to find good female representation in media, as a female myself I find that to be quite the struggle.. especially nowadays -.- (all protagonists are wannabe annoying-ass girl-bosses whom are shown to be assholes for the sake of... feminism?? lately.. Idk but ugh!!) however I don’t expect to find great representation or empowerment for myself in a story like ‘Naruto’... never have. Criticizing ‘Naruto’ about something for which it had no intentions of in the first place makes no sense to me. Instead, the characters from Naruto whom are fleshed out and developed well (and there are many) inspired me too regardless of gender and I don’t see the point in looking through a gender-lens within my entertainment if it's not necessary. (I don't know why it would be tbh.) It is not like I can only see myself or get absorbed in a story through a girl/female-character. Kishimoto even made Sasuke the Heroin of the story much like Saori (the female-lead) was from his earlier story ‘Mario’ whom Sasuke resembled a lot. But make Sasuke into an actual female character in ‘Naruto’ and then the story, in the way it was written, would’ve made no sense. Or rather their actions. (The story would’ve been different then.) People wouldn’t have accepted it because then it’s suddenly obvious to the general audience who the love interest for Naruto is... -.- Insert; confusion. Then, if we accept ‘Naruto’ as a piece of gay-media... then why look for female-representation here and aren’t the characters fine as they are when you take that into consideration?

Besides, why can’t female characters have flaws and why is it always “bad writing” if someone doesn’t agree with the behavior of said character? Why can’t they just accept that some female characters are just not that great or that some of the characters don't have positive arcs for the sake of something else? 

Anyway, I don’t agree with the reasons people give for them being “so bad”. If we take Sakura for example, I see many people say she “deserved better” simply because she’s “the female lead” but this story was never about Sakura who’s character goal had been shallow from the start. Could a large portion of that have been fixed if Kishimoto gave her something else to fight for? Sure. But I rarely see them talk about her character-foundation and more so about getting “what she deserves” even though she practically did 2% in order to “deserve” (sorry I don’t like that word)- anything. So it mostly stems from her being female? And that only would’ve given her the privilege of actually surpassing Tsunade? (As Naruto and Sasuke also surpassed their masters when she didn't.) Or become Hokage even as some of her fans want her to be? But can you really (and be honest now) even compare Naruto and Sasuke’s journeys, efforts and development to.. Sakura's? Absolutely not. For which they agree because otherwise they wouldn't complain about a lack of development, so we have a contradiction here. What does Sakura know about running an entire village? Or the village in general? Nothing. What has she done in regard to Sasuke that wasn’t excruciatingly selfish? (Or Hinata in regard to Naruto also) Again, nothing. She didn’t even bother to find out anything about the thing she supposedly cares about; Sasuke who literally stood in front of her shouting out his pain about his clan, his brother and the village. Why would Sakura care about anyone other than herself or her version of Sasuke when she was willing to abandon her family and friends regardless of her teammates pain surrounding solitude to then say “she’d just be as lonely as Sasuke” who’s entire clan/family was murdered? She, who in the end pretty much stayed the same but gained physical strength which her fans can only acknowledge through the validation of male characters? I mean 👀.. (and yes she did have some good moments, but not even her own fans acknowledge these and instead try to hype up the bad ones. Even then they need validation from Sasuke, much like Sakura does, its weird to me.) 

Jun Esaka tried to “fix” Sakura in ‘Sasuke Retsuden’ as her number one fan... but did so horribly. (Yes, I read it) In order to lift Sakura up she wrote “handsome-looking-like-a-cat-Sasuke” (her words not mine) to be a wet fry on the side of a pool living life miserably and racked with guilt for the sake of his oh-so-amazing-sexy-and-good-with-anything-“wife” whom everyone in her story loves/desires, which makes Sasuke into this super jealous “husband” who suddenly couldn’t do anything anymore without her help and made OOC mistakes every page of that dumb novel... 👀 I’ll take Kishimoto’s Sakura over that bs any day. And yet her fans love to see Sakura “shine” like “she deserves” and criticize Kishimoto for not having made her similar to their headcanons in his Manga.. 

That’s all it is. Headcanon. 

Idc, I could go on and on about it, but I’ll leave it here. 

“2) Claim: Kishimoto does not know how to write romance.”

He can and did so several times. Just because some people aren’t happy with their underdeveloped “canon-couples" doesn’t mean that Kishimoto can’t write it as he has shown already that he can with others. Couples which are accepted by everyone as them having a romantic bond (now why would they only complain for Sakura/Hinata's sake I wonder?). Besides, ‘Naruto’ is one great lovestory if you’re willing to accept it. The Minato-Manga was a big “fuck-you” to those claims, Dan and Tsunade were great and he only needed a single page/a few panels to establish the romantic purpose between Yahiko and Konan. Even before ‘Naruto’ he wrote ‘Mario’ also. Etc-

So, false.

This is some bs. This man did not sit down for 15+ years, hunched over a desk with his mind swimming about this story, Naruto and Sasuke only for anything to be “accidental”. Come on now. Whether someone else accepts their love as being gay is something else- but nothing is accidental. There is way too much time, effort and thought that went into it for anyone to make such a disrespectful claim. Besides, it is not for nothing that Kishimoto had to fight his own editorial team in order to make some things happen. He literally had to fight for years to be able to draw some of the gayest panels. So? What does that tell ya? 

Well.. that nothing is accidental. With this also comes the bs-claim that Kishimoto apparently wouldn't even know what gays are which is laughable- don't let me start.

The story is literally about Naruto, Sasuke and their bond. Their external goals (plot) by itself isn’t nearly as relevant as their internal needs and struggles which Kishimoto was perfectly able to steer the story (plot) with. That's the number 1 reason why it is a good story. It has nothing to do with “forgetting”. (Also why are Neji, Hinata and Sakura in the same sentence in regard to this?)

“6) Claim: Kishimoto is an homophobe.”

Sorry, I have no idea what this is about or where this comes from.

The fact Sasuke Uchiha was equivalent to a school ooter and ALOT of ppl saying he was right is very hilarious. (Also I'm a fan of Sasuke I just hated the shippuden part of him cause he was sounding so fucking dumb when he's fighting Naruto)

Sasuke was so scared of love that he wanted to kill his "bff" over it cause Naruto never stopped loving him. "Never gave up on him" or "cut him off" the most love Sasuke ever felt was with Naruto that's why he was constantly reminded of his family and Itachi when he was with Naruto. Sasuke had to hate Itachi so he could be able to redeem his family so he was alone but Naruto would remind him of the good and the bad of what happened with his family . That's why he was so adamant on killing Naruto. He wanted to be fully alone cause// Sasuke was disguising his fear of love with the idea that he wanted to avenge Itachi and shit but to be fair Sasuke was lied to his whole life so I still understand why he went crazy asf and wanted to kill danzo but afterward he had to direct his anger towards something else so it was towards the leaf village. (He eliminated his brother's biggest enemy but he still chose to fight the leaf// that turned into him wanting to become "hokage")

Also to pivot back to the topic of Sasuke wanting to become the "most hated" or "take on all the hate" he was essentially trying to make himself into the next Madara and we see how that was turning out cause he was literally living it. Becoming the most hated is pointless when u are already surrounded by ppl that are trying to love u, but Sasuke again was terrified of it it's as if he thought he couldn't deserve that love as well. Like in the animation he is pained his face he makes trying to "not believe" Naruto and believe he could be back in the good graces of the leaf or feel loved like Naruto keeps telling him.

And then when they think they are both dead after their big fight , Sasuke looks and acts relieved that him and Naruto are together but dead. Naruto was the one freaking out about being dead while Sasuke isn't even trying to figure it out he's just chillin with Naruto lol. In a way, when he thought they were both dead Sasuke seemed like he was missing Naruto once he vanished (i guess when Naruto woke up)

Also Sasuke always freaks the fuck out everytime Naruto basically says "I WONT STOP LOVING U" and Sasuke is just like "PLEASE STOP LOVING ME LET ME BE ALONE" that's basically what it was. Platonic or romantic love I like the ideas of both. I have no preference towards shipping. Ship, laugh love.

Another thing I'm gonna say is so many ppl hate Sakura either they are misogynistic or they think she's a terrible character. 1) most of the shit ppl hated Sakura for was literally the SAME SHIT Naruto and or Sasuke had done in the show but no one cared when them two did said thing.

2) Sakura was never ever planning to kill Sasuke she would never have it in her to ever do that to him. Literally the first time Sasuke is leaving the leaf village Sakura is trying to say anything to make him stay and since she knows he's not gonna stay she just tells him "let me come with u" and it's like Sakura was smitten with love(cough cough* like Naruto). And funny enough ppl love to bring up how Sasuke found her annoying but he constantly said the same shit about Naruto ... why b/c they BOTH LOVED SASUKE. They both loved Sasuke just in very different ways and ppl don't talk about it at all.

ppl talk about how Sakura and Naruto both wanted Sasuke back but never notice how they show their love so differently. Sakura could never fight Sasuke, Naruto was ready to fight Sasuke no matter the cause NARUTO STATES THAT HE WOULD BREAK EVERY BONE IN SASUKES BODY IF IT MEANT HE WOULD DRAG HIM BACK TO THE LEAF VILLAGE . Sakura would've just either let him kill her or joined in b/c she just loved him that much.

Anyways um yeah that's it I guess if u get mad over this imma just block u idc. I just wanna post about my hyperfixation don't dtm please also I'm surprised ppl don't talk about Sasuke being in confinement. Lol also Sasuke is neurodivergent 😴

Hi guys, I'm ranting a bit. It's sad that the SK fandom can't even be called a fandom anymore. I don't think that there are 20 people left are SK fans. Compared to the other couples there are only two couples that make sense. One is Sasuke and Karin and Tsunade and Dan.

Kishimoto made fun of every other couple especially spit on SS faces with Gaiden because let's face it Kishimoto detests SS and he showed us a lot through the manga, Gaiden and even made fun of SS in interviews, he has even said that he wants to divorce them because they are not compatible with each other.

I also have Twitter. I don't particularly like Twitter because of those nasty, trashy Sakura stans. One of the worst fans in the world are Sakura stans, and don't even get me started. How on earth do men like this garbage? For me it will always be wild. Sakura Stans are always thirsty, self-insert, middle-aged women who aren't good looking but want a hot guy like Sasuke and who have never accomplished anything in their lives. I swear I hate these people so much I want to throw up.

I hate this garbage character so much, I get even more annoyed when I have to read stupid comments about whether I like Sakura or Karin ON MY KARIN INSTAGRAM PAGE. Can you read? The account is called Karin! How the hell are you asking me this question? Or if I post other characters. The account is called KARIN!! I hate Hinata and Sakura. Both pointless, useless characters who accomplished nothing in the entire series. Both deserve to be cannon fodder. I also hate Team 7. A toxic team. Sasuke is not happy with Naruto and Sakura. He should have traveled the world with Taka, unlike T7, Taka is loyal to Sasuke. Taka didn't force Sasuke to do anything, they accepted him as he is while T7 wanted to create their own version of Sasuke for themselves in order to be accepted by him. Sasuke chose Taka for himself while T7 was chosen for him. That alone is the difference. Sasuke, who developed a new power for Karin and later told Tobirama that the Sharingan only reacts when the user develops "deep feelings" for the person, talks a lot about Sasuke's feelings for Karin. Just “biting someone to heal” is so sexual.

Biting is sexual and of all the possible techniques, Kishimoto chose this one for Sasuke and Karin. We've never seen Sasuke as intimate with anyone as he is in this moment and Karin is the only girl who made Sasuke laugh. After the genocide, Sasuke never laughs, only at Karin in the 2nd Chuunin Exam in the forest. really this smile is the biggest proof already. who ever imagine that part I sasuke would have a soft smile like Karin has developed a power for sasuke. Kishimoto knew exactly what he was doing. Same with Sasuke's reaction when he found out that Karin was an Uzumaki or that he only apologized to Karin WHILE a few panels before he told Konoha 11 clearly and clearly that he doesn't apologize to ANYONE. And his apology wasn't just "sorry." He chose a form of apology in Japanese that is used in two variants. Summanakata which is used by Japanese boyfriends to say sorry to their girlfriends. Kishimoto knows exactly why he chose this form for Sasuke. SK is the only couple that has a base in the series. I'm anti T7 but pro Taka/Hebi. I am anti-Itachi, anti Konoha, anti Naruto but pro Sasuke and his revolution. Pro change.

Sasuke is the best character in the entire series. No, I don't like Hinata. I don't like slave owners. Neji was right about everything. Sasuke, Pain/Nagato, Madara, they were all right. I'm also anti-Minato but pro-Kushina because she was the victim but I also don't like Kushina who called her murdered clan members "savages". In my opinion, Kishimoto is the best author who has brought so much politics into a story for teenagers that I find it funny how the majority didn't understand a story for pubescent boys. I like Karin as the only woman besides Konan in the entire story. You can throw the rest of the women in the trash can.

The manga just hints that Sasuke and Karin have already had sex. That's what Suigetsu meant twice and Kishimoto also talked about it in a databook in which he insisted on continuing to read the manga because it clarified what "exactly happened between Karin and Sasuke". There are "hints" here and there that indicate that this couple was already a couple before we saw Karin for the first time in the manga. The side text that talks about Karin how Sasuke was the only one who "recognized her" and in Sasuke's eyes "Karin is the strongest kunochi" says a lot about their relationship, not forgetting that Sasuke has not recognized anyone from Team 7 and Naruto until fights for the final battle for Sasuke's attention while Karin has already officially received it from Sasuke. There's a lot to say but I'll leave it at that. Likewise, I'm on the side of the "antagonists" because they had everything right compared to the fascist system called Konoha and the other 4 nations.

Sasuke at least saved Karin from the bear in the Forest of Death and she had a reason to immediately appreciate him. When Sakura was first interested in him, it was not based on any personal interaction or knowledge -- only that he was the aloof, cool genius who all the other girls fancied. I always felt Karin's flashback (so late in her story) was to reinforce her parallel to Sakura. She's the anti-Sakura. She is not Sakura 2.0. But oh well, now I stop my ranting :) Thanks for reading if you read so far.

I saw a post on Twitter recently where it basically stated that it was kind of like Orihime's ( from BLEACH ) Love confession about falling in love with the same person in five different lifetimes, but it was about Hinata being in love with Naruto in every different lifetime that the series has produced.

For example, OG series Hinata is in love with Naruto. In road to Ninja the meaner version and more outspoken version of Hinata is in love with Menma, that world's more stoic and aloof and straightforward version of Naruto. Even in the movie when he's not that same stoic personality as the original Menma to her is, she still likes Naruto with his more bubbly personality. And then finally with OG Naruto again but with the Infinite Tsukuyomi, with it being her dream it makes sense that she and Naruto would be together in them but also she has Neji and Hanabi there which is really cute cuz she loves her family.

Now the observation I made with Sakura is that she is not the same. Which is something I realized with her personality. I think the reason she likes Sasuke is because he's so indifferent towards her and no offense but I think she's the biggest pick me girl in the universe of Naruto. What I mean by that is that in OG Naruto, of course, like many other girls she is in love with Sasuke -- the bad boy who is standoffish to everyone. In road to Ninja, who takes over that personality trait? It's not Sasuke anymore. Sasuke is a goofy pervert and womanizer who is actually attracted to Sakura, and she's down for it until she sees his womanizing ways. The person her road to Ninja alternate likes is the person that adopted Sasuke's cold personality, which is Menma, that universe's Naruto. Now we don't get to see her Infinite Tsukuyomi dream due to plot armor, but you can be pretty damn sure that it involves her being with Sasuke just like how Hinata's involves her being with Naruto, and Ino's involves Sasuke and Sai fighting over her.

Anyway, what we can gather from this is like what I said. Sakura most definitely does not only like Sasuke for his looks but she mainly likes the personality of someone who admittedly treats her like shit. And I never read her novel but judging from the things I've seen from her novel, it kind of reinforces that. Sakura likes a challenge and the reason I say she's a pick me is because of that whole stigmatism that pick me girls all think that they can quote unquote fix him. That they can change him. She doesn't want someone that's going to cater to her and shower her with love like maybe Rock Lee and Naruto would do. She wants someone who, and her words in the Sakura novel, she can wear down and basically beat into submission AKA force her love on someone until they reciprocate it. Which is what she did to Sasuke. No I'm not going to sit here and say Sasuke never cared about her because he did. She was part of his team and she was part of his family that he made through team 7. But I don't believe for one second he turns into this simp and completely changes his personality for her given all the material we have that isn't novels that retcon a lot of things.

Anyway that's my point. Sakura is a pick me girl who's attracted to personalities of indifference and standoffish behavior who she believes she can make love her. She's the girl that wants the guy that everybody wants but he doesn't want anybody but her. It's no wonder kishimoto once described her love as nothing but an obsession. Cuz let's be honest, given who she is and what we've seen, does anybody really think that Sakura would give up if Sasuke chose another girl to be with?

I mean we've seen it in The Last that when Hinata thought that Naruto had feelings for somebody else due to not only his fan club but also the fact he was wearing his mother's scarf, which she didn't know about, she was ready to allow him to be happy even if it hurt her. For crying out loud, the entirety of the Naruto series she was friendzoned And even smiled after her confession when watching Sakura hug him. She does not show the personality traits of someone who is inherently jealous. Even Ino and Karin gave up their love for Sasuke, albeit Ino is a bit of a stretch because she moved on long ago before him and Sakura became a thing. Karin on the other hand selflessly helped out the woman who gained the affection of the man she loved and continues to support him and his family despite still holding strong feelings for him. I honestly don't see the same being said if it were reversed roles and Karin was the one who ended up with Sasuke and Sakura would be left to support. The only way I see her supporting that relationship is for personal attention from him, cuz like I said she is a pick me before pick me even became a thing.

Another rant about Sakura and the popularity poll

I have to admit that I was the first surprised to see Sakura coming third in the last popularity vote result. I was expecting her to be at least top 15, and would have been more than happy to see her top 10, so yeah, seeing her in third place was a bit of a shock.

Since the beginning of this popularity poll, I have tried to stay as far away as possible from all the scandals related to the cheating going on in the fandom right now. Firstly, because, let's be honest, most (if not every) fandom has been using bots or cheating techniques to vote several times a day for their favorite character. And secondly, because it is written black on white on the poll's website that all fraudulent votes will not be taken into account, so clearly, whether there is cheating or not, we shouldn't even care that some dumbasses aren't following the rules.

Nevertheless, I still keep coming across many posts insulting accusing the same fandom of ruining the experience of this poll because of their cheating and I have to admit that it's starting to slightly irritate me.

The anime community has always been hypocritical when it comes to the treatment of certain characters and their community. We're not going to change them now, but I'm getting tired of the harassment and hatred that a lot of Sakura stans are getting on a daily basis because they don't share the same taste on a fictional character as others.

Of course, the Sakura community is far from being innocent. But I think it wouldn't hurt for some people to put a little water in their wine when it comes to calling an entire community a "cancer on society" or "mentally retarded" because you've seen screenshots of a couple of randoms claiming to have voted 30,000 times a day for Sakura. (And not to be that person, but anyone who believes that you can vote that amount of time in one day is probably not the sharpest knife in the drawer...)

But let's be honest for a sec. What bothers most of these people isn't the cheating going on in the fandom, otherwise they would be denouncing all the fandoms doing this and not just this particular one. No, what really bothers them is that they have convinced themselves for so many years that Sakura was such an unlikable character, that they can't handle the fact that actually, she is, and has always been highly appreciated by the community. When I see some people saying that Sakura wouldn't even be top 20 without the cheating when in all the official popularity polls there have been she has always been in the top 14, It makes me laugh a little. It really shows how the internet has totally blinded a part of the community to believe that Sakura was hated by everyone.

Has the character of Sakura been undergoing a huge wave of hatred for decades? Yes.

Is the Sakura fandom one of the biggest and most invested in the Naruto community? Also, yes.

And I think a lot of people tend to forget that. Especially the ones who aren't Naruto fans but still jump on the anti-Sakura wagon train whenever they can because hating Sakura has kind of been one of the anime community favorite's private joke for years. But yeah, all this to say that it's not that surprising to see Sakura ranking that high in this poll, especially with all the content we've been having from her for the past few months.

With the manga and anime adaptation of Sasuke Retsuden, a lot of people seem to be rediscovering her character in a more positive light. Her merch is always sold out and anytime there is a little official content of her, the fans go wild. Let's not forget all the fan projects that are organized for her. If there is one thing that cannot be taken away from her fans, it's their investment in the fandom.

They showed it very well during this popularity vote by collaborating with artists and other fandoms to motivate people to vote. Moreover, they are the few who didn't fall into the trap of "the winner of the poll will gets their own manga" thing.

While a part of the fandom has been voting for undeveloped characters and therefore not necessarily the favorites of the majority, another part has decided to vote for one character in order to counter the votes of the Sakura stans, and as a result, are not even voting for their favorite character.

So yes, the results of this poll will not be representative of the opinion of the fandom. But it won't be the fault of Sakura's fandom as some people like to say. It will be because some people have either misunderstood the instructions of this poll (which clearly says to vote for your favorite character) and/or are so blinded by their hatred for a 2D character that they would rather see a character that they don't necessarily appreciate win the poll instead of her.

Honestly I don't care if Sakura comes first, third or ninth. But this poll has shown once again how rotten the community is and how they won't take any responsibility for their mistakes and blame everything on the Sakura stans. As usual.

'There is nothing inherently wrong with SS as a ship, it is the fans that make it unbearable to enjoy or consume.'

I wanted to make a more coherent and less mean (lol) post about SS. Because theres nothing I hate more then people putting words into my mouth. You can stop reading now, the first line sums up this whole post. If not you can continue to read, but be warned I am being critical of the fan base and ship of SS.

 I mean Naruto just get announced to be reanimated so-

I do not follow Boruto and could not tell you what has been going on for the past couple of years with it. What I do have is having been with the OG series all the way up until its ending and the first few insane chapters of Boruto.

It's clear the writing community for Naruto is way different than the one on tumblr. SS is a fascinating ship and one worth writing for. If you're willing to accept the actual canon of the ship is Toxic. (Put your pitchforks down, let me explain.)

Let me pose this* The only other shonen anime that has canon children is Bleach. Now let's say Bleach started a new manga focusing on the kids. And in the first chapter Ichigo kid looked Orihime in the face and accused her of not being his mother. 

Let's take it a step forward, what if Ichigo wasn't even there for his child birth. What if while Orihime was pregnant she had to have Rukia help her try and find him. But oop, she goes into labor! 

Oda would be hunted down for sport in the streets of Japan. 

So why is it that the fan base for SS sees that and just nods their head and says that is normal and healthy.  Even going as far as to say Sasuke does love Sakura. A few people would shake their head and say no but- but I don't even think that's a bad thing. A shonen relationship that isn't healthy in the slightest. Is new and fresh, and Naruto needs something going for it besides being formerly in the BIG 3.  The least they could do for their female characters is make them actually interesting- I don't see the problem in stating facts of their relationship. When it comes down to the fact it's not a ship problem it's a fan problem. The equation doesn't even involve Sasuke, it's about Sakura.

Isn't it because people feel bad for Sakura and wants the best for her- that she should be happy like all her other shonen suppose to be love interest-

The more interesting story to tell is that SS is a toxic relationship. All toxic relationships:  have their ups and downs. Sakura is perpetually stuck in one because Kishimoto refuses to do anything with his female character. This doesn't just stop at Sakura, Hinata, Temari and so does Ino. Because of the new series we no longer have to worry about them. The lead is now Naruto's son. I don't even think Sasuke kid plays a big role (then again I don't follow it so I'm unsure.)

This causes the biggest problem and makes fans do what is called Fanon. Fanon is what fans do when you say fuck the canon. I originally assumed we all agreed with the 2 terms above and sat together and said fuck that. We could all live in harmony realizing that the writer doesn't understand his own fucking story-

Fanon makes everything better, but people tend to confuse it with canon.

Fanon Sakura has her being the next Tsunade, she the greatest medic nen user.

Fanon Sasuke is a dovoted husband and cares about his kid.

Fanon Naruto is not weirdly mean to his son who is a literal copy of him. And he started his relationship with Hinata better. 

Fanon Hinata doesn't say fuck her clan and actually fixs it.

Canon Sakura isn't all that really active. She punched someone really hard to prove she was the mother of her own kid.

Canon Sasuke is not really all there, legit the mentor to his best friend's kid. I mean fuck his own kid and teaching her how to do cool shit. Shows up sometime to make Sakura happy and then leaves???! Been fighting a dinosaur for like a year now??

Canon Naruto, the fuck if I know, no one talks about him outside of ships anymore. Before Burato he was very active

Canon Hinata I mean come on-  girl was shy and obsessed with naruto. Gets married to him and I haven't seen her do anything sense then. 

If we know canon is trash even if it has improved sense then. No one is that invested anymore so why is it when I go into a ships tag the first thing I see is "x ship sucks and will never be canon" an it mainly coming from a SS shipper. Kishimoto donkey punched everyone in the back of the throat for a decade. At this point it doesn't matter what's canon. So if your interpretation is fanon and my interpetation fanon THEN WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE AGRUING OVER????

The SS is fine its the fans that want to fight that make no one want to interact with it- I would love to write a fic that focuses on the inherently problematic relationship of Sakura and how living that life is unfulfilling- most likely make that shit gay but-.

I'm assuming  It's a combination of bad faith actors and the literal canon of the show beating you at every turn that the outward friends have to be hostile to everyone because like I said before it's not about Sasuke it's about Sakura. Which means Narusasu and sasusaku should be able to coexist.

But somehow that's not the case Naruhina and Narusasu are the one that have this weird solidarity going on. I mentioned before that the fanfic community is way different than the one on Tumblr. The fanfic reflects some deep mental state of the fandom. An in recent fics that involve sasunaru, sasusaku and naruhina involving the next gen- 

The common plot between naruto and Sasuke is 1 sasuke pls visit your family you have a daughter we can't be together- naruto. Hinata's role is supportive already knows her husband is in love with Sasuke. Usually ends up in a relationship that involves naruto and sasuke-

Sasuke doesn't involve sakura at all and one fic legit had him say he wasn't gonna tell her at all-

ITS THE SAME THING THO!? Sakura is obsessed with Sasuke, Hinata is obsessed with naruto. Hinata wants naruto to be happy, Sakura wants Sasuke to be happy expect- 

One fan base acts out more than the other. One ship fan base only really cares about 1 character instead of both of them. And that's the biggest problem. Hinata seemingly has endless love to give and is willing to share. Sakura only thing is Sasuke- so the weird possessiveness fan feel is because of the canon. But it doesn't have to be, because we are all writing fanon. You don't have to stick with what's givin. If you aome how made it all the way here and still wrote something unhinged in the comments. I can't fucking help you, i've given you enough grace because like I said there is a small percent that just doesnt get it and is too- fandom pilled and doesnt realize you can have an opinon that isnt black or white. Okay so first of all well established at this point in Fandoms with just a Lotta Guys I tend to get latched onto one guy (gender neutral) and ship them with basically everyone all at once, and for Danganronpa that Guy is Kazuichi Soda

The ideal is Sonia/Kazuichi/Gundham polycule. I think Sonia and Gundham are Queerplatonics who are bonding over their crush on Kazuichi, meanwhile Kazuichi is convinced they're dating and is steaming over it in pure Incel rage. He is their pathetic little Meow Meow

Soda/Teruteru I see every here and there and it's easily my favorite Teruteru ship. They're unnormal about the girls in their class together while holding hands and kissing on the mouth and Soda will say "No Homo right?" and Teruteru always just smirks. Yes Homo, Soda. Always Homo.

I don't know who came up with Soda/Nekomaru but it does slap I will agree. Big loud guy X Little loud guy. Nekomaru tosses Soda around like a football

Also who came up with Soda/Fuyuhiko because I LOVE them!!! Soda and his scary manlet boyfriend. I am rattling them so hard. This goes very good specifically with Transfemme Kazuichi btw

Soda/Hajime is incredibly funny Hajime is so tired of Soda and Soda is all about Hajime they are just Bros being guys being dudes I adore them. I hope they kiss with tongue

Soda/Miu reads so very sibling to me I don't know why but whenever I see them in fanart together my brain says they are Brother and Sister and also they both kiss Kiibo on the mouth. She thinks Incest is hot, he thinks she's disgusting but also his taste in women is based on her. Like Akihisa and his Sister from Baka and Test kind of dynamic.

Soda/Chihiro is SO cute this is again just back to Kiibo tho they are Robot friends she is the exact kind of sweet little cute thing Soda is into he is for sure one of her biggest fans this is also another speisifically with Transfemme Soda kind of ship

I think Kokichi/Soda would be a very funny unserious ship to get in to. something about it gives me Age Regressor Friends vibes

Okay let's start off with something everyone hates; I like Despaircest, but not in it's canon form. Manipulation and worship is fine and all, but I also just love They are all they have on this bitch of an earth Twin Ships, and Junko is really good for that, given how much she hates everything. Mukuro was Junko's last shred of sanity before she vanished

I have a real thing for Danganronpa Polyships, I'm a real big fan of Kyoko/Makoto/Byakuya as a solid Post-Game throuple. Kyoko and Byakuya are sharing the twink begrudgingly

Also OT3 Chihiro/Taka/Mondo?? Love them the trio of all time. They all kiss on the mouth and hold hands and love eachother very much. I want them to own an apartment together and live a very chill Slice of Life anime style existence

Sakura/Aoi is so very sweet and good. Wholesome gorlfriends. They would pummel you to death for speaking bad about the other. Massive Femme Little Butch gorls I love them

Celeste/Hifumi is my ideal I love them so much they deserve so much more. Fantastic self ship polycule content from them as well.

I saw someone once ship Hiro/Byakuya and I think that's so incredibly funny. Ships where the one guy is nothing by annoyed by his partner are always welcome

I have to respect Toko/Komaru sense I stole my entire self ship with Toko from the basis of that ship basically. I don't like Komaru all that much but I will admit she and Toko kiss on the mouth and are very cute for sure

I think Nagito/Makoto is a very funny one sided kind of ship. Nagito cannot be normal about the other ultimate lucky student to save his life. Makoto is dense as dense can be. Everyone is holding Nagito back.

Another OT3 Hajime/Nagito/Chiaki is very good two braincells and their pathetic wet kitten boyfriend. Hajime and Chiaki also kiss but if they do Nagito will stare at them and make it very weird he just loves to see ultimates in love

Whoever first shipped Imposter/Ibuki I love you so much I cannot for the life of me remember where the basis for that ship comes from but it's back of my mind always

But also Imposter/Ryota from DR3 is so so so SO good I love them. Imposter pushing Ryota to eat to stand and stretch and take breaks and go to class and get out of his room and exist. I love them. Very Kazuaki/Hitori core.

I am not immune to Peko/Fuyu he loves her she is devoted to him one day she'll be better be more her own person and she'll finally be able to love him back. Big "That's my wife!!!!" possibilities. The best Het ship ever written (untrue)

Mahiru/Hiyoko is also very good a very specific flavor or WLW that I for some reason don't see as much as Sakura/Aoi despite them being the same type of Close? I think they're sweet

Nekomaru/Akane are Queerplatonics I can't see them kissing but they do need to be in physical contact with one another at all times. Catch them hugging all over one another

Oooh I think Ibuki/Sonia is very good Good girl Wild girl she was a skater boy style. I think they'd be great girlfriends

This ones for that one artist who draws adorable Teruteru/Hajime, I have no idea where that one comes from but the artist themself is very sweet

Not enough people talk about Korekiyo/Sonia they would be perfect together they're both so weird and creepy and I think they'd get along like a house on fire

Someone on my dash ships Gonta/Celeste and I cannot for the life of me figure out why but I am on board I suppose??

OT3 evolved it's OT4 time I love Kaede/Shuichi/Kaito/Maki they are a chain holding hands I adore them SO much. A loop that can go both directions

I think I'd like Himiko/Tenko better if Tenko was written with any kind of good intention, but everything she says and does is written so poorly I just... I have a hard time liking her. I want to though.

Miu/Kiibo/Kokichi is one that grew on me long after I'd finished V3. I think they'd be a very chaotic duo. The exact opposite energy as Sonia/Kazuichi/Gundham

I also like the fan works of Gonta/Kokichi. I don't like the way Kokichi acts about Gonta in canon like at all but the ship isolated is very cute. Full of deceit and hate X Physically cannot lie good boy

Kirumi/Kokichi is very much Carer/Age Regressor to me and I do enjoy it sometimes. I feel kind of bad demoting Kirumi to just a mommy type though

Gonta/Ryoma is so very *Chefs kiss* you understand??? The Big and the Small. The Nerd and the Jock. The Gentleman and the Criminal. It's about the subversion of expectations

Oh and Ryoma/Kirumi is INCREDIBLY cute I have really nothing for it other than Ryoma deserves a badass wife. All Ryoma ships will work on me because I just want Ryoma to be happy. Everyone kiss Ryoma on the mouth

On that note Ryoma/Kaede also whole cute 10/10 would love to see more. Kaede also deserves all the good in the world

I went very crazy for a while for Gonta/Kiyo because of that one manga where they got their stupid long ass hair tangled together. I love that for them

Y'all want a weird one?? I think Monotaro/Miu is SUPER cute. I love ALL of their interactions in canon. I would ADORE seeing more art of them together. Tiny bear and his inventor Mommy. There's something there

One more DR OT3 for the road: Chisa/Kyosuke/Juzo are fantastic and I wish we'd gotten to see more of them before the Despair.

I don't have any problem with her Obsession with Sasuke... Really... Yeah, I said this as one of the reason in many of my posts... But that reason is just a mere supplementary to an already written novel.

I mean she was introduced to the readers as someone who wants to steal the kiss of a guy... Did I hated her at that time?? Not really.

Her Insensitive & Asshole behaviour towards every other characters we came to love and adore... Is the biggest problem in her. And Sakura was doing all these because of her Obsession with Sasuke. She would put Naruto, Ino, Sai, Kiba, Lee, Her parents, Tsunade, Karin even Sarada under the dirty ditch if that could get her Sasuke.

My point is "Was it worth??? Was it necessary??".

Naruto was also insanely obsessed with Sasuke. But when Sasuke was planning to destroy Konoha, didn't Naruto say, "Sasuke, Our battle will be inevitable, if you do attack Konoha..."????

You know what this scene is equivalent to??? On my first watch, It reminded me of a typical Girl asking a boy, "Hey dear, If there is a situation where Your Mom and Myself were in grave danger, and you could save only one person... Whom will you save?? Who is more important to you, me or your mom??".

The Guy will say, "Of course my Mom. But I would die with you anyway... Because I can't live with a regret of letting my mom die... But also I can't live without you... So, I'll save my mom and die with you"

Naruto did the exact same thing here...

There is this misconception that "Independent and Strong girls needs to be Violent, Badass and Kick the ass of other men". But that’s not true at all. Feminine Women can also be Independent, Strong and still they can achieve their goal.

Take for Example, Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones. A Thoroughly hated Character in the Fandom.

She started out much like Sakura. Like an Annoying Idiot who puts a boy over her family... She hated her Family and Home because it was boring and dull... She wanted a pretty prince in shining Armour to come save her... And When a situation presented itself, instead of Choosing her own Family... She chose her Prince. And her naive decision was what later came to shoot her foot in a worst way possible... 

Because she ended up losing her family (they were all massacred). Her Home was burnt... She was made to strip off her clothes in front of many People... She was intentionally left to be raped by some angry mob. Her Father was beheaded And the reason behind all of her miseries was that sadistic Prince she always wanted for herself...

To be factual, she became a Pawn for other’s Game.

But instead of being a Damsel in distress and waiting for someone to come save her.... She started to use her wits and practical thinking (She is not a Warrior type), and decided ‘Enough is Enough... Instead of being abused by all these people... Let me stand up for myself... I want to reclaim my Home... That’s my place... Now and Forever’. She has a good administrative and tactical skills.

You see... A Character who started out very similar to Sakura evolved into a Mature woman and ended up becoming a Queen who was loved by many people in the End. Oh, By the Way... She didn’t end up marrying anyone though... She contextually said, “I don’t need any man to rule my Home”.

However, the Fandom still hates her from the bottom of their heart... Because the Fan Favourite, Badass character ended up committing Genocide.... Whereas the allegedly “useless” AKA the most Feminine Character ended up becoming a queen. 

I too hated Sansa in the beginning just like how I hated Sakura... But as the story evolved... My feelings also evolved the same. Today, 90% of the fandom hates her through their bone... But I fall on the 10% of the people who admire her despite she had never shown the trait of Kick Ass, Slay bad guys type... She was gentle, patient, kind and yet sharp-tongued by calling out Bullshit as Bullshit.

Don’t you think I would have also loved Sakura if only she had not ended up being an Asshole to atleast one person???? Atleast one????   

The Reason I brought Naruto dying along with Sasuke scene is to show that Had Sakura been empathetic and considerate to other people and stopped Sasuke from destroying other people.... then Her Obsession would have been justified... 

The Reason I brought Sansa Stark is to show that Had Sakura. at some point, realized that losing/disrespecting the Bonds she had with others for the sake her sex drive is Simply not worth it... Then her Obsession for Sasuke would have been justified...

It’s okay to have priorities.... Naruto has one, Sasuke has one... Sakura prioritizing Sasuke is not a problem at all... But AT WHAT COST????

Rant incoming... Because I don’t understand some lies I read at all?

I really don’t like spending time on this kinda of discourse so I will keep this the shortest as I can...

Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, MHA, Bleach (or any other popular shounen if you will) are NOT sexist they are battle mangas and guess what they are.. SHOUNENS? Why some people go all their way to accuse mangakas, CREATORS to be sexist just for the solely reason they didn’t met your very specific expectations and your every single “demand”?

No I am very tired, because it makes little to no sense, it reminds me of high school when some friends of mine would complain about shoujo having romance? and mostly focusing on female characters? FOR REAL it’s the same energy and makes no sense now I won’t break down each non sense I have to heard or read because I am not into discussion but this is something I need to speak my mind on (btw I won’t answer replies if you wanna say something my ask is open but you know wtv)

first I am gonna adress Kishimoto because he is so kind nice and humble and he does not deserve this nonsense he is a good author with flaws OBVIOUSLY but in general he is good! I am tired and it became old already Kishimoto is really not sexist stop making accusations without evidence (where did you take he hate women? this has no basis he never showed disrespect ever), the biggest flaw from Kishi in my point of view is not giving other characters, other than Naruto and Sasuke, much focus and this includes the female characters lets say Ino for example gurl... I respect her SO MUCH and everytime someone make a complain about her I laugh because it is just about natural things or perks on her personality which makes her HUMAN I think she is a very natural and compelling character I did reblog some posts that highlight her very greatness and keep in mind she is a side characters! her team for me is more interesting than many main teams  ~personal taste blabla~ also same for Tsunade, this woman is a beast she is so much the figure of respect in Naruto and I, as a woman, find her very VERY excelent her story and her highlight moments were short but so impactful even her romance with Dan made few pages was great (same for Ino and Sai! what a 1000/10 couple and both are so good characters...) her solution was well written she is strong without “magical eyes” or beasts... Now my main problem with Kishimoto is on a matter of focus, now I wanna thank the Hinata and Sakura fans because they already defend these amazing ladies so much so I will save it from now but for me Hinata and Sakura are the shape and soul of Konoha future, hope and peace too! Just as much as their husbands!

Let’s go for Bleach now, Tite Kubo might be a little interesting, I appreciate that he defends his work so much because if you dislike something so much just write your own thing right? every author should just say this ~ lol his female characters ARE very strong and have a lot of focus, Rukia and Orihime were more remarkable (FOR ME, as a reader anyone is free to feel different in this matter) than Ichigo and other male characters I think only Aizen have the same love (from me) lmao but enough this lets jump to the part where people mess up, you can dislike a character and a manga as much as you want but don’t lie the popular statement of “Orihime is useless only says kurosaki kun!1″ is so annoying and wrong I won’t even... I mean Orihime literally have one of the greatest powers in the series even freaking AIZEN took interest on her powers?? Why?? Even?? Disregard?? That?? it is so hate for the sake of hate. And we all know how strong many female characters on Bleach are but it’s so fun how all this hate is driven to Orihime and in the end all the female characters get bashed even tho none of them are weak, this is tiresome (and the fandom can kinda be contradictory here)

about Dragon Ball oh boy, this one tires me A LOT I srsly feel tired just typing rn, we have freakin BULMA her presence alone in the universe of the manga is even more than relevant, yeah she starts funny (I have no problem with her earlier character) but she matured and she became even better but lets never forget how she was always relevant?! Her strenght relies on being the most realiable and efficient character in the entire series rather than punch power super explosions ~~ etc she is just a fearless, independent, smartest (and don’t forget also the cutest! ~lmao i love her~) character in the entire series, and we have Android 18 a extremely strong character, ChiChi is a very strong woman she CHOSE TO BE A MOTHER AND A HOUSEWIFE btw this applies to all animes or media... And don’t even get me start on Videl... People pretend to be accepting but be judgin female character just for being a mother and staying home like? srsly? this is not the only thing they do! Videl and ChiChi are STRONG 

BEING A HOUSEWIFE AND MOTHER ARE NOT WEAKNESS AT ALL and thats the end of story, all people who put this trait down are just so zzzZzzZZ more of the same average complainer...

anyways, I will just leave it here, btw I am not saying you should love every manga every character hell I have dropped many mangas and animes because they didn’t suited me and I didn’t spend my time hating on them... Naruto

Basically you guys don't get along since day one

You are the opposite of each other

Naruto is noisy and full of energy; you are quiet and get tired (n.t.: annoyed) easily

He can't stop talking about how he will become a great ninja and the village's Hokage; you have 0 interest in anything related to it and can't think of something worse than being the village's leader, which would mean work and more work

His grades were a shame at the Academy; yours were ok

Naruto can't understand how someone would not have any ambitions regarding the shinobi world and doesn't miss any chance to judge you as the nosy kid he is

You spend your time as far from him as possible, not because you fear his comments but because you can't stand him

Eventually, as you work more together, you start focusing more on your missions and less in each other's flaws

You start respecting his determination and sense of justice, and he starts to accept that not everybody has the same views in life and that's ok

You even go to Ichiraku and joke around from time to time

You start to think more of how you're going in life

Sakura

At first it's the same as with Naruto

But unlike with the Uzumaki who puts his dream ahead of anything, Sakura puts another person ahead of herself

That would never make a difference to you if she just kept quiet about it, but no, the girl is always talking (directly or not) about how Sasuke is this and that

*Sighs*

She's not the biggest fan of yours either

Despite being familiar with you since the Academy, your grades and abilities never meant too much for her (they didn't mean much to you actually)

The good thing about this is that there's no competition between you, since her grades were always the best

However, while you're reasonably good in fighting and the use of weapons, her practical performances weren't great, so that sometimes a bit of conflict between you are inevitable

Things only calm down when let it clear that you have absolutely no interest in competing with her, and even less in Sasuke

Tbh you don't understand what Sakura sees in that guy

After that, you kinda start a friendly relationship

You find out some things in common outside the ninja world

She gives you some tips about shinobi theory while you give her tips about practical work

You learn to respect each other with this

Sasuke

Tbh there aren't many things to say about Sasuke and you

You almost don't interact with each other

Part of it is because you don't see reasons to do it and the other part is because both of you want to avoid Sakura's scenes

You find each other uninteresting in general, and sometimes annoying: you who don't want to do anything at all and him who only thinks of his vengeance

The only thing putting you together is the fact that you're part of team 7

So inevitably you have to work together

One thing I don't like about SNS fans is that some of them feel the need to drag Sakura through the mud in every one of their posts. Calling her a gay beard, saying she is nothing more than a device to convey Naruto’s feelings, calling her catty and jealous of Naruto because Sasuke likes him more than her, etc...

Like, Sakura deserves criticism just like everyone else does, but there's a fine line between criticism and just making shit up like saying Sakura was willing to give Naruto over to the Akatsuki just because of that line where she said getting closer to the Akatsuki would get them closer to Sasuke. Yes, before you ask, I have seen every single one of these claims in SNS posts before.

Like, I'm not the biggest fan of her, but I honestly just feel bad at this point. I know you're a big fan of her so what do you think?

I honestly did not expect my answer to be as long as it is (that’s on me, I should’ve known that I’d be incapable of shutting up) so I’m putting the rest of the response under the cut!

I feel the need to clarify to anyone that reads this: I am also a SNS fan so please don’t come for me!! I know there are plenty of SNS fans that are also Sakura stans (or at the very least, don’t have any strong opinions abt her character, which I’ll always take over the overly-negative ones) but there is definitely no denying that there’s a small percentage of that fandom who actively hate Sakura for things that are literally out of her control.

You basically summed up how I feel about the whole thing. I think there are legitimate reasons to dislike Sakura as a character, but once people start twisting the narrative - that’s when I get defensive. It’s been proven time and time again that Sakura has nothing but love for both Naruto and Sasuke (once again, I am asking the fandom to stop holding her hostage for shit she said in the very beginning of the manga!!) so this argument that Sakura would be catty / jealous / homophobic because of SNS’s bond literally makes no sense to me.

(Like, seriously. If y’all have CANON evidence, please feel free to let me know and we can discuss it! But most of the time, it’s just people deliberately twisting canon to fit their own personal agenda.)

In terms of the jealousy aspect, I personally don’t mind the characterization that Sakura would be jealous on like, a human level. I understand that. When the people you’re close with enter romantic relationships - especially in this case, when it’s literally her teammates - I think there’s a very natural sense of loss and envy that comes with that. Even in a platonic sense, when you feel that two of your friends have a stronger bond, or that they can connect on a level you will never understand, I think it’s very natural to feel jealous or left out. However, in my opinion, that jealousy would never turn into resentment or bitterness. Sakura has always valued the happiness of team, so at the end of the day, I genuinely think she would be supportive and it pisses me off when SNS fics paint her as this jaded ex / the villain of their ship. Like, y’all are going out of your way to make her the bad guy, and for what? 

It’s funny, I’ve actually read SNS fics where authors are actively aware that Sakura wouldn’t be bitchy, but write her as a bitchy character anyway because they need a villain for their story. Like... maybe you should take a step back and examine why you feel the need to make her purposefully homophobic. 

As for the jokes about her being a beard for Sasuke - well. When done without any real malice, I think they can be funny. But as a casual SS fan, I do think they get old really fucking quickly. Sakura literally has no agency & it baffles my mind when people blame her for ending up with Sasuke (I’m not even pulling this out of my ass - I’ve literally seen these takes.) Like, take it up to Kishimoto!! Leave her alone!! It’s so funny to me when people come up with these wild conspiracy theories as to how Sakura “tricked” Sasuke into marrying & having a child with her as if these aren’t characters with no real agency at the mercy of a heteronormative author. I totally understand if y’all disagree with SS - I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I also take issue with how their canon relationship played out - but people who hate Sakura for ending up with Sasuke as if she had any real control over the matter... It honestly makes me laugh. It’s genuinely funny. Like damn, a fictional character who isn’t even the villain of the show really gets your blood boiling that badly - it’s very girlboss of her!

Also, I just need to throw this in here because it’s come up on my TL a few times and I want to vent: I honestly cannot fucking stand Boruto, none of that shit is canon to me, but SNS stans who deliberately make hateful jokes about how Sasuke purposefully abandoned Sakura and Sarada because he doesn’t actually love them... Like, that’s not the slay you think it is. Y’all are making fun of Sakura for having to be a single mother, but I think there’s something super fucking tragic about the fact that Sasuke, who has so much love for his family and his clan, basically abandons Sarada in her early childhood. I know he has his reasons, but in my opinion, it does a great disservice to his character. Idk, the Sasuke I know would never, but Kishimoto simply does not understand him like I do. Idk, I don’t watch Boruto, so I can’t really give a fully formed opinion about this, but this has been sitting on my mind for the past few days and I wanted to put it out there.

All this to say, I can’t control how anyone thinks. I’m waaaaay past the point where I feel the need to fight with anyone whose opinions I disagree with - the block & mute buttons are my friends and I use them often. Hey guys! So currently it's late at night and I wanna write something to help me sleep. So here I am on my phone quickly writing out all my ships down so you guys can see what a loser I am lol.

Now feel free to discuss your opinions, but dont start any ship wars or bash anyone's ships, alright? Cool! So here we go! Each ship will have a short explanation as to why I ship it. And they are in order from favorite to least, though my least favorite is still one I like.

Ishimondo-This is my biggest comfort ship. I love enemies to lovers so much and these two idiots are just...such a beautiful tragedy.

Saimota-Can someone say bromance? Like please they were flirting so hard it hurts. They are dating your honor.

Saimatsu-Please the way she was able to motivate him? Even after death she helped him improve. They had such chemistry from the very beginning.

SakurAoi-Yeah yeah Sakura has a bf whatever. But they technically werent dating yet cause they were waiting til Kenshiro got well. So...LES GO LESBIANS! Hina was about to commit murder suicide for her boo. Literally lovers.

HaruKaito-So even besides the fact Maki straight up confesses, I disagree with people saying they dont have chemistry. They're adorable and Kaito opens her up to people. This ship is adorable af.

Tokomaru-Similair to Kaito and Maki! Komaru helped Toko be a better person! Like I hated Toko at first, but after UDG, shes a top tier favorite. This ship is too cute.

Soudam-Again I love enemies to lovers. Idgaf if they never show romantic interest in each other shut up. They're beautiful bastards, both of them.

Fuyupeko-...do...do I really need to explain? Just play the second chapter again lol.

Hinanami-Im not a big fan of Hajime. In fact hes my least fave protag. But I think the way they interact and the way he is around Chiaki is too fucking cute.

Sondam-They had the more obvious chemistry in the game, and I love Sonia with Gundham. They fit each perfectly, having similar interests. Plus how sad she was when he died? 😭

Kiiruma-Ok so they're a perfect fit right? Kiibo was one of the only ones to even care when Miu died, and Miu seemed to care about Kiibo. Yeah because she could upgrade him, but I feel theres more there!

Naihiro-Now this is a rare pair. I think the two of them are very cute and soft boys, so they relate to each other. Theyd be a very sweet couple.

Akanidai-Nekomaru literally died to protect Akane, and took two bazookas to the chest for her. They were inseparable. Case closed. They cute.

Daiyakure-Another rarepair. It's hard to ship Hiro with people cause you'll get hit with the "hes 21 and they're underage" argument. But with Daiya Oowada, you can say hey, fuck you! Theres literally no interactions between them. It's almost a crack ship. But I love it more than I should.

Naekure-Another Hiro ship, but this one can be justified by saying they start dating after they escape the game and they know they're both adults. I think Makoto would be a decent balance to Hiro's...everything.

Togakure-Same logic as with Makoto as to when they get together. Byakuya would be able to deal with his idiot enough to calm him down slightly. Plus it would be a funny contrast.

Ishikure-Ok now this is a bit harder to explain. I see it more as they were dating before the mind wipe, and in survivor aus theyd date again. I just think Hiro being the only one to care about him after ch 2 is sweet and that the two would be cute.

Hagekureon-Same reasoning as with Taka;Hiro and Leon were dating before the game and/or they date in survivor aus. I think the two idiots together would be an interesting combo, like with Ishimondo.

Naegami-Finally, back to well known ships!😅 So Byakuya clearly cares for Makoto even if he tries to hide it. He'd be a good partner to Makoto, if not a bit tsundereish.

Kuzusouda-Fuyuhiko was like the only one to try to curb Kazuichi's simping, and they have a nice friendship in the anime(from what I've seen and heard, havent seen all of it😅)so I think Fuyu would be able to help Kaz accept himself.

Asakure-Once again, getting together after game. My friend put it as "the two idiots getting together. Its cute." And hes not wrong lol Despite Hina being slightly smarter and the fact she bullied Hiro a bit in game, I can see them working off each other nicely.

Goshi-Firstly I just love the striking difference in their heights. It's funny as hell to me lmao. But secondly I think Gonta's sincereness and kindness could eventually break through to Ryoma and help him realize he isnt unlovable, and he is worth something.

Twobuki-I just think Ibuki's constant praise and lowkey flirting with Twogami is adorable, especially given his...size. Usually people would make a character like that completely unlovable, so the fact she was seen doting on him so much is adorable.

BandAid-Now I normally dont ship killers and victims. It just doesnt feel right to me. But given Mikan was more or less brainwashed into doing it, i kinda give this ship a pass. Plus i think Ibuki could help her be more confident in herself and stop letting others use her.

Soapies-I dont really like either of these characters, thus why its last on the list, but I think Mahiru is the only one who could "tame" Hiyoko, for lack of a better word. She could help her stop being a bully and actually open up to others. Plus they both care a lot about each other. It's cute. Its sweet.

So that's my list! It might grow, and if it does I'll reblog this post to add onto it! Feel free to give your opinions on it, but remember: no ship wars!

I also wasn't insinuating that MinaKushi or DanTsu are the only good examples of good romantic relationships (I don't even care about these pairing for the record, or any other pairing in Naruto). I'm just pointing out that people do not doubt that Minato loves Kushina or that Dan loves Tsunade. If Sasuke genuinely loved Sakura and Kishimoto did a good job at showing it, then there would not be a huge debate on whether he does love her or not, because it would be obvious to pretty much everyone that he does, whether they like the ship or not. The fact that it's not and that so many people still debate on this to this day either shows that Kishimoto did a poor job at showing Sasuke as a loving husband either that Sasuke does not love her, despite that "love is the real deal" line or his reply to Sarada's question. It's show vs tell if you know what I mean. On one hand he tells us that "love is the real deal" but on the other hand he does not really show it all too well, which makes many people think whether he truly meant those words or he was being sarcastic and simply mocked the fans. It's either a case of bad writing either Sasuke simply does not love Sakura. I personally don't know what to think. I tend to lean towards the first option, it may just be bad writing after all. He admitted he's not great at writing romance and to be honest? It shows. It is even implied they haven't kissed in Gaiden by Sakura looking sad when Sarada asked her if they ever kissed. And I know you like to refute that by saying that it's preposterous to think they haven't kissed when they obviously had sex in order to concieve Sarada, but the thing is, it is entirely possible to have sex with someone but not kiss. It really is. When you're having sex but you're not really enjoying it or when you have simply been pressured and pestered into having sex with a person. Sakura Hiden confirmed the fact that Sakura was determined to confess her feelings to Sasuke over and over again until he would've eventually reciprocated. She compared that with punching a villain over and over until they're defeated. Now please tell me, would it be so far fetched to consider that harassment? If someone tells you no once, you have to respect their rejection and stop pursuing them, not take it as a challenge to persist in reaffirming your feelings over and over again until they eventually get tired or take pity in you and accept to give you a chance. And even in Gaiden it was confirmed that Sakura had to chase after Sasuke. It's really easy to see this ship as... problematic, to say the least. I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt tho and blame it on bad writing rather than on Kishimoto simply implying SS is not really a loving relationship, but if other people are not convinced or deny that Sasuke loves Sakura, you have to let your bias aside and admit that they have reasons to believe that. The writing makes it really easy to interpret it either way, depending on your preferences.

I already answered a lot of the points you made here in my response to your previous ask, but it's important for people to remember the type of person Sasuke is, and understand that the manner in which he shows affection isn't the same as Dan or Minato. It's a lot more subtle. Are people doubting that Vegeta loves Bulma and Trunks? No, so then people need to ask themselves - in which ways has Vegeta demonstrated that he loves his family in ways that Sasuke hasn't? Both of them aren't outwardly affectionate, both of them aren't romantic, but both of them have undoubtedly demonstrated that they love their family. Yet, only one of them is questioned. It really is just a "damned if you do and damned if you don't" situation. If Sasuke acts all affectionate like Dan and Minato, people will claim that he's OOC (like they did for Sasuke Retsuden), but if he stays reserved and demonstrates affection in his own way, people will just turn a blind eye and say he doesn't care. It really just shows how little they actually know Sasuke's character. To think that Sasuke, who hails from the clan which values love above all else, would marry and start a family with someone he doesn't love.

On one hand he tells us that "love is the real deal" but on the other hand he does not really show it all too well, which makes many people think whether he truly meant those words or he was being sarcastic and simply mocked the fans.

People actually think that Kishi may have been "sarcastic" when he described their love as the real deal. Oh my goodness. Why would Kishi purposely give wrong information to the readers (and never reveal what's actually going on)? Why would he intentionally want the readers to misunderstand his story and characters? Why would he want to portray his 2nd biggest character as someone who would enter a loveless marriage when that literally goes against the ways of his clan and his entire character? Do people not listen to themselves?

It's like how so many people claim that Sasuke saying "because you exist" means that the only reason he and Sakura are still together is because of Sarada, and people really don't realise how stupid that sounds. They don't stop and ask themselves why Sarada would be brought to happy tears, why Chouchou would describe her as lucky, and why Naruto would give her a knowing smile, if Sasuke had really just insinuated that she was the only thing that was keeping her parents together:

They just don't think. They apparently believe that Chouchou was happily thinking to herself "aww, lucky Sarada, you're the only thing keeping your parents together!", and that makes sense to them apparently, Chouchou being so happy for Sarada after hearing such awful news. It's unbelievable.

And I know you like to refute that by saying that it's preposterous to think they haven't kissed when they obviously had sex in order to conceive Sarada, but the thing is, it is entirely possible to have sex with someone but not kiss. It really is. When you're having sex but you're not really enjoying it or when you have simply been pressured and pestered into having sex with a person.

This is just like the people who believe that Sasuke is gay, justifying their ridiculous claims by pointing out how "you can be gay and still marry a woman", and to that I always say - Why would Sasuke do that? Just like to you I'll say - Why would Sasuke do that? To have sex and not kiss? Why would Sasuke of all people be "pressured and pestered" into entering a relationship with someone? He obviously has no problem whatsoever with bluntly turning people down. If he doesn't want to do something, he's not gonna do it. Heck, if you're using Sakura Hiden to try and prove your points then I'll also use a novel to prove this one - The lipstick stain scene during Sasuke Shinden: The Teacher's Star Pupil, explicitly indicates that Sakura and Sasuke had kissed earlier that day. The motorbike scene during Naruto Retsuden has Sakura kiss Sasuke. Sasuke and Sakura having kissed, is not (and has never been) a topic that's open to discussion.

No, here's what people need to understand. If people think that Sasuke's love towards Sakura was not adequately shown, then that's a reason to criticise the writing. It is not however, a reason to deny what is canon. They are stating that Sasuke does not love Sakura, despite the fact that this has explicitly been stated. Sasuke loving Sakura is a canon fact, whether they like it or not. Criticise the execution all you want, I know I have plenty of times, but don't deny the truth. Hell, since you wanted to use the novels...

During Sakura Hiden, Sasuke rushed back for Sakura's sake, despite having ignored the village's prior pleas for help. What does that say about his feelings for her?

During Akatsuki Hiden, Sasuke described Sakura as "The Spring Sunshine" which illuminated his dark life. What does that say about his feelings for her?

What does basically the entirety of Sasuke Retsuden say about his feelings for her?

Many anti SS fans are always so quick to use the novels when it suits them. And then when a novel like Sasuke Retsuden comes along and completely shits over all their theories, they're just as quick to dismiss the novel as an OOC fan fic by a sub par author, figures. As far as I'm concerned, the manga is more than enough to show that Sasuke loves his family (seriously this really isn't up for debate), but I'll also definitely say that anyone who criticises SS and uses the novels as a point of reference, is in way over their heads.

Lucifer would like to take you to Romania, mostly because of all the stories of the great Wallachian ruler Vlad Tepes/The Impaler and wants to find out more about his ruthless yet effective methods of insuring no crime happens in his country ( and hopes they will work on his brothers too ).

Apart from the gorgeous landscapes from the mountainside, the possibility to go to the seaside, or see the different types of regional architecture ( like the unique Black Church ) from different cities, he’d also like to get a full experience of the language, the music, the traditions ( customs, clothes, foo ) and feel for a day like a native from the old ages. 

Even more, he’d find it very nice if you were to try out one of the traditional outfits, and would take a picture of you at the mountains, on a nice field, and put the developed picture in his coat, looking at it whenever he is working and misses you.

He can get pretty salty about the fact that there are still people who believe the Bran castle is Dracula’s true castle, instead of the Poienari fortress and wouldn’t hesitate to express his displeasure, but would appreciate the castle and everything displayed there nonetheless.

Also, would be the first to go to the Horror house, holding your hand if you get scared, and would feel incredibly proud that you trust him and feel safe around him, but would get such a kick out of using his demon form while at it, to scare the actors there.

His whole aesthetic draws people near as if they would actually approach a vampire royalty, which allows him to puff his chest out in pride, so hey, you’re dating a vampire now!

Would take you out at the fanciest restaurant, just to feel how the life at this place is.

Would love to take long walks on the beach at the sea, your feet in the water, holding hands, and just admiring the moon and stars while waves are your music.

You’d mostly stay silent and enjoy the atmosphere, but sometimes you talk a few words, and that’s when Lucifer is the most relaxed, calm and tender.

He would saying that he loves you with such ease for the first time in so long, and the kiss on your forehead would be so soft that it brings you more butterflies than any kiss ever could.

Lucifer looks so ethereal in the light of the moon, it’s almost like he’s glowing, and when you tell him, he’d actually blush softly, before chuckling and stroking your hair, not denying, nor agreeing with your statement.

Mammon loves to spend money and grab it, so what better place than Las Vegas?

He’d love for the two of you to dress super fancy and flashy, in matching colours if possible, go gambling, scam people and experience the luxury night lifestyle, go to clubs, loud music and expensive alcohol and all that.

But Mammon isn’t all about the flashy and exciting night time, instead, he would mostly love to just see the world with you by his side, and his goals is to make you happy, to he does everything he can to go sightseeing with you and reads in advance about whatever places you could visit and tells you some fun trivia about the place, he’s treating you to the fanciest food and drink places, and would spoil you rotten when going shopping, loving to see you do a little catwalk for him every time you get out of the changing booth.

He’d definitely insist on buying super cute animal Pyjamas.

He’s a huuuuuge fan of the “His Queen/Her King” trope and loves showing you off as much as possible, so get matching Tshirts or jackets and he would be SOOO proud and would laugh confidently and proud all the time, his arm around you, saying how cool you two are together and all that.

He wouldn’t admit it out loud, but he honestly doesn’t believe he’s good enough for you, but when he sees how your dazzling smile is always directed to him and you cling on his arm whenever you watch the Lights Show on the big buildings, see the beautiful fireworks or watch the impressive singing fountain...Well, he can’t help but blush and kiss your forehead, feeling butterflies in his stomach.

He’s the kind of guy who would spam his DevilGram with either couple pictures in different places you visit, or just cute pics of you or you two messing around, and his account is actually very popular for the #CoupleGoalz trend.

At night, he would like to either cuddle with you and watch a movie, or go drive through the city at night, watch the night lights, and go on a cliff, stargazing and chatting openly about everything, because honestly, this guy is always dismissed and insulted by his brothers, it’s always a relief and a fresh air when he can be himself and just...Talk with someone.

Leviathan

Levi is the biggest weeb in the world, so the first place you’d visit together is Japan.

Anime conventions, wearing cute kimonos while going to festivals or roaming the streets of Kyoto or Akihabara, couple cosplay (Henry and the Lord of Shadows), buying merch of your favourite anime/manga/game, going to Vocaloid concerts, buying the newest Ruri-chan figurines, trying out new video games that just came out and so on.

Actually wants to go to a Pokemon cafe and fangirls SO much about all the cute pokemon themes there.

He would get you all the cutest Pokemon plushies, especially if you’re not all that into Pokemon but want to share that interest with him, so expect a Skitty, Vulpix, Shaymin, Eevee and all its Eeveelutions, Milotic plushie, while he would already be collecting plushies for the rarest Pokemons, but he’s incredibly happy that you want to do this with him.

He also gets an Ekans just for the Lolz and let’s out his tail, mostly for troll purposes, but it makes you laugh and he could swear his heart stopped beating and his cheeks were redder than ever.

He secretly got you a maid outfit and would love to see you wearing it, but he’s too embarrassed to actually say.

He would blush SO much seeing you in a kimono with a nice hair pin and a fan, while going to see the Sakura trees blossoming and you look like the Sengoku type of heroines from the dating sims he plays so much (to get experience and not fuck up with you), but somehow, you’re so much beautiful than any CG he’s every seen, no matter how gorgeous the art is.

He would get lots of packs of Pocky and despite not saying it out loud, would put a pocky in his mouth and you’d get the hint and munch on the other end of the pocky, in the end kissing him softly.

He would love taking pics of you alone, because you’re so beautiful, and would edit them to look as ethereal as possible, if you want, to even have fantastic backgrounds, and would take pride in how popular your DevilGram/InstaGram is.

He also changed his Lockscreen to have you with your hand in a half-heart gesture, while yours has him with the other half, so whenever he looks at the clock, or sees a new notif, he sees you smiling, with a cute kitten filter.

His Wallpaper is the two of you kissing, edited with a few hearts, sparkles and a little “I love you” written in cursive in a corner (you edited the pic and suggested you both use it, but he denied, so you changed it yourself for him too, while he was busy gaming, and he liked it so much that he couldn’t change it back to Ruri-chan.)

Satan would choose England first for so many reasons!

He’s such a perfect gentleman and seeing everyone so polite and chivalrous there makes his heart bloom and would up his gentleman shills even more, wanting to impress you and make your heart skip with everything he does.

Loves to take you to different castles, see in real life everything he read in books and saw in movies or TV series, and he’s so mesmerised by the beauty of everything that he forgets he promised to be your guide, but his bright smile and the way his eyes sparkle in curiosity and glee make up for everything.

Besides, he’d definitely go back to you and explain in very precise detail the reason for his fangirling.

He’s a little nerd so bookstore dates are a huge YES, and more - CAT CAFES where you can read at your heart’s content. HUGE YES.

You’d both get our of there with tons of books that you will read together, cuddled up under the blankets while enjoying an aromatic tea that Satan prepared for you, together with some nice scones.

He’d want to go with you to Shakespeare’s grave, Dicken’s house, would like to see anything involving the Romantics and so on, since he’s in love with British literature.

Satan wants to go see the Harry Potter theme park so much, and would buy tons of merch for the two of you, and wants to go in full Hogwarts robes and wand with you.

Would take a gazillion pics of you together, that only you can see since it may ruin his reputation with his brothers for geeking out, but he’d love it if the universe was actually real.

He’d also take you to King’s Cross to take pic near the wall where you get to the 9 3/4 Platform.

And no trip to England could exist without a visit to Sherlock’s house, pretending to be detectives, and at Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum to admire all the figures and potentially take troll pics with them.

Asmo wastes no time in taking you to Paris, of course!

And the first thing you do is have a coffee at the restaurant located on top of the Eiffel Tower.

He would, throughout all the trip, take tons of selfies EVERYWHERE, and aeshtetic pics of either you alone, him alone, or together.

He’s a Devilgram and Devilr celebrity, after all!

Loves going to all the little cafes and drink a hot beverage with you while looking and judging all the passer-bys, how they would never compare to how beautiful and fashionable you two are.

He takes you to the Versailles Palace while wearing the most glamorous outfits, and despite all the pics taken, he will tell you stories of when he visited the place long ago, and more, will tell you of the paintings displayed, since he’s rather knowledgeable.

Asmodeus will take you everywhere, but first, the Lafayette Galleries, all while streaming every second there, to shop everyone how amazing the place is.

Would pics the both of you sooo many pretty brand clothes, new skin care routine and make up products, that you almost wonder where he has all the money from, especially to pay someone to carry them back to your place.

Would take you to a lingerie shop where he’d make you try on all the cutest outfits and would buy them all, especially because he thinks they will make you more confident and wants to make sure you never thing bad of yourself, because if you’re dating him, then you’re obviously the most beautiful being he’s ever seen, inside and out. (he doesn’t count here, of course)

His wallpaper is a selfie of you two smiling and making a peace sign, from the top of the Eiffel Tower, seeing all Paris in the background, at evening, with the beautiful sky and the night lights all over.

Would take you on a cruise on Seine, serenading and drinking a glass of bubbly champagne, admiring all the buildings and the happy people sitting on the banks of the River, enjoying the scenery.

And of course, there’s no perfect trip to the City of  Love without some very tender and sensual love-making, with so many compliments, praises, soft touches and gentle kisses from Asmodeus, followed by a relaxing bath with milk, honey and rose petals, scented candles, bubbles and ambiental music, and of course, a lot of cuddling all night long.

Beelzebub would want to go to Italy, since it’s the country with the best human food, and what better place to eat it them its home country?

Would actually love to go sightseeing with you and seeing all the pretty stuff there is.

He appreciates the architecture, statues and paintings of every historical place, loves to find out more about the country’s history and traditions and would like to take scenic pictures of all the places you visit...

And make a couple album where he puts pics with either you alone or together.

It’s his most treasured possession and nobody except Belphie knows about it, and while he is happy that his brother is happy, he would say it’s so cheesy.

Would have fun when doing the classic “Pushing the Pisa Tower” picture, would like to sing when you go on a Gondola ride in Venice, and pretend to be a gladiator at the Colosseum, while you’re his Caesar.

If you get him a necklace or a keychain, he’d never take it off and has it as his lucky charm, kissing it whenever he misses you or wants the day to go good.

After he understands how the food is made, he’d want to make it himself, so you cooking together would be so cute and fun, and the way you see the love and tenderness in his eyes as he looks at you laughing, while your face is covered in flour...

He’s such a precious and soft baby, and he loves you so much.

Also, he’d love to carry you around just for fun and because he loves holding you close to him, so either bridal style on on his shoulder, you say it, and he’s gonna do it.

Will also like to take lots of short videos with you two, just fooling around, giggling, laughing, making jokes, kissing, pretending to be kittens, having flour fights and all that, since they’re beautiful memories and whenever he’s sad, he watches them and he forgets the reason he was sad in the first place.

Belphegor

Belphegor would take you to New Zealand, because he saw how beautiful and green the landscape were, thanks to the Lord of the Rings movies, so he wanted to see what would be like stargazing on such a flowery field, or sleeping in a Hobbit hole.

He’s pretty sleepy all the time, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t take you to see the big cities as well, eat out, shop for souvenirs and so on, but his heart is taken by the simplicity and peace the countryside and forests hold.

Belphie would actually like to have his head on your lap as you stay at the bottom of a tree and read, much like Froddo Baggings would, waiting for Gandalf.

It’s a guilty pleasure of his, but he wants to see ‘Gandalf’s’ fireworks, and when a festival like that happens, he’d hold your hand tight, having a soft smile on his face and a tender look in his eyes.

Despite not saying it very often, he will confess his love for you.

It’s barely above a whispers, but it’s genuine.

It’s simple, small, but meaningful and beautiful nonetheless.

As you stargaze on the field, he’d tell you the names of all stars and constellations that you can see, and would tell you some trivia he knows about them.

Would take a few pics here and there, but his favourite one is one where you two are on the ground outside, both your heads on his favourite pillow, while looking at each other, both of you having such genuine and pure love in your expressions.

If he ever wakes up earlier than you, and likes to troll a bit, he’d get his tail out and tickle your noes, smirking at how cute your half-asleep reactions were, but would play innocent when you ask about it, only kissing your nose to make you forget and reassure you that it was only a dream (it wasn’t).

Diavolo

Diavolo is so easily excitable, despite his age and title for the next Devil Lord, but honestly, he wants to take you to Iceland to see the Northern Lights that you spoke so fondly about.

There are so many pretty things to see in the Devildom alright, but none of them quite as fascinating to him as how the sky lights up with so many different and beautiful shades of green, blue and pink, it’s almost unreal!

Who would have thought that the Human world could hold such natural wonders?

He could have sword you were a witch or something, and just wanted to impress him with your magic, as if charming him wasn’t enough, but this beauty makes him behave even more like a child, leaving him speechless and breathless.

Diavolo would kiss and hug you, spinning your around so many times, if you allow him, you forgot to count, which is his way of thanking you for showing him this place and he’s honestly just so happy that he can share this precious moment together with you.

You tell him some old stories about how they say the ancestors’ souls watch over everyone from up there, and that even the animals who died have their souls there, living in peace and quiet.

Despite knowing it’s obviously not true, the tales humans come up with are so creative and make so much sense to their beliefs, he’s genuinely fascinated by all these old stories and would like for you to tell him more.

Iceland’s landscapes are also to be taken into account, and Diavolo will take thousands of pics of you literally everywhere, just because you’re so cute and he’s so damn happy and wants many memories together.

Would like for you to take a selfie with his phone, while at the Northern Lights, and would make Lucifer frame it so he can have it on his desk whenever he’s working, and whenever he gets bored, tired, or just misses you, he’d gaze fondly at the picture and would occasionally kiss it.

Hey, Sparrow. So this won’t be an ask, just kinda a rant.

I know you see that Narusaku’s bond was purely for Sasuke, and you have convinced me with your posts, but I feel like the Manga making it seem Naruto had a crush on Sakura made this whole thing really tasteless. The whole “team 7 love triangle” thing was what earned Naruto the nickname of “the greatest scumbag” in Japan, so to me, I think it did more harm than good. Narusaku’s status as a red herring bond should’ve been emphasized in part 1 more.

Maybe have Naruto bring up Sasuke in his introduction of Sakura or something like that. And also all that bating in the data books you brought up. So then Narusaku wouldn’t have such a big fandom, and this claim Naruto loved Sakura only for rivalry with Sasuke seems more believable and people wouldn’t call him a scumbag.

At least that’s what I figure. What do you think?

Okay Firstly, People who called him 'Scumbag' were only NaruSaku fans from Japanese Fandom. If you go to their Fandom, they'll claim how 'The Last' movie was a total failure and Tickets were cancelled and all that...

But unfortunately, it's the most successful movie from the Naruto Franchise partly due to SP's obsessive promotion and casual fans, who don't care about shipping or detailed nuances want to see their Idol getting married to their 'beloved' Hinata, were pooled into the theatres by large numbers.

So, Don't believe those Japanese comments saying Naruto is the Biggest Scumbag as the One True Gospel. I am not saying they are not true... I am only saying that they are not the Entirety of it.

However, he was called by many names like Trash, Piece of Shit and so on... after the release of Gaiden. That’s a whole new can of worms to open....

Secondly, Red Herrings are meant to be Extremely subtle... Meaning, It's designed in a way as to not let every tom dick and harry find that it's a Red Herring. Otherwise it defeats the purpose. Only perceptive readers who were willing to look for that Special needle from that Haystack could identify it.... 

It’s a plot device to confuse the readers as to this is how it’s going to happen or this person is the Chosen One by planting fake evidences while keeping the real proof somewhere else... And after the reveal, the author will smirk and say, 'Heh!!! I put every hints along the way... You never noticed it... Now don't blame me...'. Most people would fall for the obvious one...

These Red Herrings usually are the source of many divisiveness in the Fandom. Not only in Naruto. It exist in other media as well and I've been a part of those fandoms too... The ones who identify those Red Herrings are usually small in numbers and they would be the butt end of all the Jokes before the Reveal. Including myself. But once the Truth was revealed.... The people who trolled us would end up blaming the Author for Bad Writing... Whereas we all will proudly smirk at ourselves and enjoy watching them go mad. It's always a delight to see their melt down and say, 'Well, We've told you so...'

That's why people don't understand why Naruto and Sakura didn't have anything profound after the Kage Summit Arc's fake proposal..

That's why people don't understand why Naruto never felt anything painful when Sakura 'the so-called Love of his Life' was proposing Sasuke right in front of him and on his birthday, no less.... Whereas he looked painful when she hugged him in Part 1. Because not many people could understand that Naruto's painful smile was always for Sasuke...

That’s why people couldn’t understand why Naruto ended up with Hinata when he had a lot more supposed ‘Chemistry’ with Sakura throughout the Manga...

That's why people don't understand why Naruto abandoned Sakura for all those years in Gaiden...

Because there was nothing profound or sincere between them... And it was always a fake...

Even then, Part 2 never gave me a serious vibe about NaruS*ku at any point... All I could see was, Naruto being crazily obsessed about Sasuke and casually flirting with Sakura for fun...

So, Yeah... Kishimoto handled NaruSaku Red Herring in a very clever way and I also fell into that trap... But then I started to ask myself 'Why it doesn't make sense? Why NaruS*k* was never consistent??' and I started to look for clues... And when I realize it, I was heavily surprised and was screaming at myself, 'Oh My God!!So, that's how it is???'

Do you think a common person who reads Manga for fun and throw away would notice all these little things????

Thirdly,

I really think, Kishi didn't care about how Naruto and Sasuke will be perceived by his audience... Not one bit. And he doesn't have to... He knew his characters all too well and he wrote them by being true to himself... Because if he were a person who cared about Audience perception, then he wouldn't make Naruto to do that Reverse Harem no Jutsu...

He definitely wouldn't have screwed up The Last movie in a horrible way by disregarding the facts established in his Manga... (including that Rivalry thing)

And he definitely wouldn't have wrote Gaiden in 'that way'...

After Gaiden, Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto were equally shatted upon by the Japanese Audience mercilessly...

Gaiden is where Kishi was saying, 'I never wanted this sequel and this kind of Ending... You all want it... And This is how my characters will behave if they were asked to do something they didn't like... Because they are Gay (**Broke Back Mountain is coughing heavily**)'

In fact, He let the Audience take what they can get from these characters,,,,

He tried to convey the important message of this series... ‘Understanding...’. And he did it successfully. Other plotlines are something he let the Audience to take what they can get...

What do you think of Kishimoto saying that he only put narusaku and the parallels with Kushina to be "misleading"? I think that's ridiculous to waste ink and thought behind it only to say it was to be misleading. What a insult to the fans. Also I really like reading your blog!

Well let me tell you something about this. I said I’d do a more detailed post on this but I’ll say it now as well.

It's simple.

There's a reason for Kishimoto's contradictions and lies.

But without making it too long here, I'll say this... there's this thing called brand reputation management.

Let's admit it, from a marketing/branding standpoint, The Last had the biggest fuss around it.

Now, they kept marketing it in so many deceitful ways that when the movie hit and fans saw what it is about exactly and how it contradicts everything Naruto ever stood for, well... the reputation of the brand The Last & Naruto by conjunction suffered a fatal blow.

So of course, they had to manage that reputation. So they had Kishi state all those things at different times, depending on the reactions waves, because they dealt with differences in those reactions at different times like I was saying.

First we had from the beginning excuse... but then people started asking, okay, if it was from the beginning, why show NaruSaku, Sakura respectively moving on to Naruto?

So then we had it from the middle / Sakura would be a terrible woman for moving from Sasuke... 

And people were okay but if we had it from the middle why confirm Sakura = Kushina in the end?

So then we had NaruSaku = red herring and the last is a way of Naruto to part with Kushina and Sakura, respectively.

See what I mean?

It was pure brand reputation management at every step of the way.

Or better said for those who don’t get behind marketing terms = damage control.

That’s why he said that. Because Naruto as a brand, and Kishimoto more than anything suffered a really fatal blow.

Do you think it’s a coincidence that his manga Samurai 8 flopped? Do you think it’s a coincidence that Boruto in his best days can’t even get to 15% than what its original source material was?

The only saving grace Boruto has is the anime. But even that must be looked at in context and perspective.

What context and perspective? Well, it kept moving slots with the airing time because it wasn’t doing that excellent, and in the end they decided for it to run on saturday mornings when every kid is at home, enjoying their morning cereal while watching some TV.

And such, it has no real challenge. 

Now you might say I’m biased with this, but you can very well find that information out there on the internet.

The manga isnt doing that well despite being a monthly one and having all the time to do well in a month.

Like I said, in comparison take Jujutsu Kaisen. It hit the 10 million mark and it’s a WEEKLY one. 

Even so, Boruto should’ve had enough weight from Naruto to withstand the test. But then, it didn’t because Naruto and Kishimoto as a brand shot itself in the foot with that choice of ending.

It basically disrespected its audience to the goddamn core.

So this is what you get as a brand when you do that.

And I’m not speaking outta my arse. There are studies about brand management and reputation you can very well read on the internet.
