any other non-libidoists (ppl who don't experience sexual arousal) out there who feel like, though they're undoubtedly missing out on a lot of the fun of sex, they have a better understanding than most people of the different "layers" of horniness/the Abstract Sexual Mood, or rather a better understanding of the psychological side of sex in its distilled essence, since they can be very much "mentally aroused" without any physical sensations attached to it?
like...i can very much feel mentally turned on and enjoy sex and be in a sexual mood, i can co-create phantasies and play with my partner and be excited and know what to do and what to say and have fun while doing it... it's just that my body doesn't feel any different... and touching my genitals feels the same as touching my knee lol. and i have no fucking idea what an orgasm feels like and probably never will. and it's been a year since i even attempted to masturbate (gave up after a minute lmao).
but i just feel like it would be harder for most people to differentiate these layers (mental vs physical arousal) bc they probably tend to always experience them at the same time? soo...maybe our unique perspective is epistemologically valuable, too? lol
#obviously there are also a lot of ppl who don't enjoy sex at all :)#asexual#ace#nonlibidoist#non-libidoism#asexuality

I discovered the term nonlibidoist and I'm curious to work out whether I fit under it but its difficult when my sense of sexuality (in all meanings of the word) feels so indescribable under the current language around sexuality. And its not really something I can just ask random people about because working it out would involve unpacking / discussing explicit themes. Idk.

So not long after I started hormones, I wasn’t really interested in sex anymore. My libido has shot WAY down and it wasn’t even that high before.
It’s come up a little bit recently, but I’ve noticed that I much prefer to use my *ahem* toys..rather than intercourse with my partner now.
My ultimate question is if there’s an identity that fits this?
Fluxo or non-libidoist? Autosexual/autoerotic or solosexual? Esthesiosexual or juxtasexual? Feel free to add -flux or -flexible with the prefixes.

this might be a hot take but here goes anyways. as a formerly sex-repulsed asexual and an aromantic; other sex/romance repulsed people Need to chill out about sex and romantic acts of affection/romantic relationships existing in media. it is not a personal attack against you to make you uncomfortable. it is a very common human behavior and usually important in a story telling sense. when used properly, it is a very real progression of story and character relationship and just another way to show love. in my opinion seeing confessions from sex/romance repulsed folks on anon complaining and throwing a fit over sex and romance existing in media is incredibly immature.
yes! i agree it is extremely prevalent and sometimes annoying to see constantly, sometimes i Do want just platonic relationships in media, but i can have that desire co-exist with being chill about sex and romance existing in media (and fandom. tired of seeing folks get so salty over shipping)

I really did mean to make at least one decent post for Ace Week, but it got away from me. Oops. Anyway, I love all my acespec siblings. Here’s a quick, random graphic of the acespec flags I identify with. Left: asexual, nonlibidoist. Right: aegosexual, aroace. (I also like the acespec flag, but I couldn’t get the graphic to look decent with five.)
#Actually asexual#ace week#asexual awareness week#identity stuff#I know nonlibidoist isn’t strictly speaking an acespec flag but it’s a huge part of my asexuality fight me

it seems too honest to tell my allo (gay) friend that ace only means (little to) no attraction, not no want for sex or never fucking.
#which is why I'm going to blog about it#no but 99% of y'all are ace anyway#i should probably just man up and tell him#it just seems complex if I'm to disclaim that some aces are nonlibidoists#aceblogging#1000symmetry.txt

Can you make a demilibidoist flag? It's partially libidoist or nonlibidoist (semilibidoist) or circumstantially/conditionally experiencing libido/sex drive (hemilibidoist). Similar to fluxolibidoist and hypolibidoist.
Demilibidoist + Deminonlibidoist!!
Demilibidoist - someone who only partially has a sex drive
Deminonlibidoist - someone who only partially doesn't have a sex drive

Happy Pride to all asexual nonlibidoists!
(ID: The nonlibidoist pride flag. There is a pinkish V shape with the central point at the bottom and the ends at the top corners of the flag. Above the V is purple and below is dark red.)
Nonlibidoist - A person of any sexual orientation with no sex drive/libido. A nonlibidoist does not experience an inherent drive to engage in sexual activity such as masturbation or sexual relationships. Some aces are nonlibidoists, and some are not. The presence or absence of a libido has no relation to whether someone is asexual or allosexual.

Intro
Nonlibidoist: someone who does not have a libido for any reason, may or may not also be asexual.
This sideblog is run by an apothisexual nonlibidoist plural sys. We are not comfortable giving our system name or talking about any of our other identities here, but we wanted to create this blog for nonlibidoists like us to have a space where we can be safe to talk about our experiences without judgement, and maybe feel less alone.
Rules for submitting stuff to this blog (if you want it to get posted) :
1: The ask or submission should be related to being nonlibidoist, unless it is, like, advice on how to make this blog more accessible.
2: Mentions and VAGUE descriptions of NSFW acts and such will likely be necessary to some degree due to the nature of this topic, but there is no need to go into extremely graphic levels of detail.
3: no exclusionism/bigotry of any kind. everyone’s identities are valid.
Thank you for reading this long intro!
