Was engaging in my favorite hobby of Curating Lists (specifically in this case of the states I have visited and the ones I have yet to visit) and was wondering…which state would you all most like to visit that you haven’t been to yet and what city/area/site would you want to go there for?
#my top states I haven’t been to are probably Louisiana South Carolina and maybe West Virginia#oh and Tennessee! I want to go to NOLA and Charleston both for history and food reasons#and then I want to do more outdoorsy trips after I had so much fun in Utah and I need to do more research on that#but lot of beautiful nature in WV#and then in TN you have smoky mountains and Cumberland gap national parks plus Memphis and Nashville#I would also love to go back out west bc the badlands road trip my family did as a kid and my Utah trip were both incredible in terms of#scenery but I think the western states I have NOT been to like Idaho are less appealing than my missing states in other regions

Gloriously bright in both color and flavor, we scooped up every bit of this Louisiana heirloom tomato 🍅 salad with creamy burrata, juicy sweet peaches 🍑, urfa biber 🌶️(a smoky Turkish chile pepper), basil seeds and pine nuts @mamou.nola 😍

New Orleans Food of the Month – Beignets I’ve been saving the best for last. These delectable bits of fried dough drowning in powdered sugar are as much a symbol of the Big Easy as are Jackson Square and Mardi Gras. Café Du Monde is the iconic hotspot for beignets and coffee, but there are many, many other cafes and coffee shops offering them throughout New Orleans, each with its own devotees who swear theirs are the best. If you don’t have at least a couple beignets, have you really been to New Orleans? (Gluten free beignets are available!)
Closest beignet spot to the Con hotel? Right across the street!

I visited Rum House, a Caribbean Taqueria restaurant located in the Garden District located at: 3128 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70115 for dinner.
I have been several times before and typically sit at the bar. The service is always nice, very typical for any type of restaurant. For an appetizer I had the nachos which are always really good. The portions are huge and shareable. I rate them a 9.5/10. My entree was the jerk chicken with a mango relish, served with greens and fried plantains. I also had the rum punch to drink. Overall this was a 8/10. The food was a good mix of unique flavors. The entire menu offered a great selection of different types of foods to choose from. If anyone is looking for a Caribbean twist to familiar meals I would highly recommend the Rum House.

New Orleans Food of the Month – Muffuletta
The muffuletta - a sandwich made with mortadella, Capicola ham, Genoa salami, provelone, olive spread and great bread - is a true New Orleans original. Sicilian immigrant Lupo Salvadore invented it when he opened his Central Grocery in the early 1900s. Central Grocery is closed for renovations, but you can still get an original muffuletta from several locations in town. Other establishments throughout the Quarter also offer their own version of the sandwich. Try one while you're in town for Miss Fisher Con!
