This isn't meant to be good, it just needed to be written. Just trying to figure myself out thru writing about Logan.

"Stare"

There are days where Wade will wake up and Logan will just be sitting in front of one of the windows, staring silently. He's so still and silent that if not for the occasional flicker of his eyelashes and subtle rising of his chest, he could very well be a statue. He doesn't respond to Wade’s normal teasing banter. No side eyes, no glare, no snarling or snapping. He acknowledges Wade with a turn of his head, but goes right back to his thousand yard stare. The stare of a man who's lived a lifetime far too long. Wade tries to talk to him, but gets nowhere. He used to Logan not speaking sonetimes, but he'll still communicate via grunts, huffs, and growls. Plus his non-verbal communication is always present. But today all of that is shut off. Logan is a blank, silent slate. Wade gives up trying to talk to him, but keeps an eye on him as the day progresses. He brings him a cup of coffee, setting it next to him on the end table next to Logan’s chair. Checking on him a couple of hours later, he finds the mug still full of now cold coffee. Dumping it in the sink, he returns to Logan’s side with a glass of water and one of Logan's cigars. Setting them both down on the table, he ruffles Logan’s hair and kisses the top of his head. Looking down, he sees a few stray tears slowly sliding down Logan’s cheek. Wordlessly, Wade wipes them away and gives the older man a kiss on the forehead. He decides to give Logan some space and privacy for a few hours, leaving him alone with his thoughts in the apartment. Returning later in the evening with takeout, he picks up the smell of cigar smoke and while Logan is still in the same spot that he left him in, he did at least smoke a bit and drank some of the water. Wade will consider that an improvement. Putting the takeout on the counter, he goes over to check on Logan. He was asleep and snoring softly. Wade figured him the smell of food didn't wake Logan up, it would be best to let sleeping dogs lie. An hour later had Logan rousing from his sleep and finally getting up from his chair. Grabbing his cigar, he crawled out onto the fire escape to finish smoking it while Wade re heats their food. Returning to the apartment, Logan saddles up to Wade, hugging him from behind. Pressing his nose to the back of the younger man's neck, he took in a deep, slow breath and rested his head on Wade's shoulder. A soft, low thrum began rolling thru his chest, filling Wade's diaphragm with Logan’s gratitude and thanks. Holding him closely a few more minutes, he placed a sweet, soft kiss on Wade's cheek before letting him go. Picking up his food, Logan walked over to the couch and sat down in his usual spot. After flicking the tv on, he looked to Wade and back to the spot next to him and repeated the cycle. Knowing what Logan wanted, Wade grabbed his own food and sat next to the silent Mutant. Scooting closer, Logan leaned into Wade's side, getting comfortable before eating his food. With the man's weight pushing into him, Wade smiled, happy Logan was learning to be comfortable leaning on Wade when he really needed it. Both emotionally and physically.

I think one of the funniest things about the Sabzeruz event is that the devs choose to go with Candace, Traveler, and Paimon having a whole "Ooh, two mysterious men are going into an alley to have a 'private' conversation; they must be bad guys!" only to then go "Oh just kidding, it was only Alhaitham and Kaveh doing typical Alhaitham and Kaveh things."

Except the "Alhaitham and Kaveh" thing in question this time was talking about Mehrak, a sentient robot that Kaveh built using absolutely forbidden technology, and which he then whole-heartedly willed would develop a consciousness of its own, violating one of the central taboos of his nation's governing agency, committing what amounts to an inherent and extreme felony punishable by law.

Alhaitham and Kaveh: Listen, we're not bad guys discussing illegal activity here. We're just two men having a private, personal conversation. Happens all the time.

Paimon, Candace, and Traveler: Oh cool, they're not doing a crime; they're just gay.

But they were, in fact, doing a crime.

the difference between till at the start of round 6 and round 7

he doesn't seem like he's trying at all during round 6, having already fully given up living after losing mizi

but in round 7, even though he's lost even more, he's clearly putting all he has left into it

and the reason for that... has to be ivan, right?

he must have recognized ivan sacrificed himself for him, so for the sake of ivan's feelings till tries his absolute best to respond to them and perform that till sings at all here is for ivan

...but at the same time ivan is what haunts him

obviously, right? there's no way watching someone you were so close to you die like that right in front of you can give you actual "strength" (and this isn't even getting into the kiss...) contrary to ivan's (clearly wrong) conviction that till doesn't care enough for him to become a trauma to him, that's exactly what happens

this inextricable mix of love and hate, hurting and healing... this is the tragedy of their relationship to the end no matter how much ivan and till care for each other, they can't ever cure each other

ALRIGHT BUT

I’ve been having flustered Steve thoughts.

The Party has NEVER seen Steve flustered. Steve’s always the one flirting and no one ever flirts back anymore so Steve’s never actually flustered.

But then Eddie Munson comes slithering along and he flirts with everyone just cause he can but nobody’s flustered by his attempts because he’s not trying to actually fluster them.

But for some reason he really flusters Steve.

Eddie uses this to his advantage and actually puts forth effort when he flirts with Steve.

Steve is flustered, bashful, embarrassed. He’s twirling his hair and giggling and he does this thing where he taps his fingernails on his front teeth when he gets distracted.

The Party was NEVER seen Steve like this.

Not even Nancy when they were dating.

Steve has described what he was like when he was flustered to them, calling himself stupid and saying he acted like an idiot to try and get them to just lay off.

All anyone sees is an absolute sweetheart.

Steve blushes really bright, starting with his ears and it just travels down from there. And also he’s really bad at hiding his smiles and he smiles so BIG when Eddie flirts with him. Like you can see every tooth and his eyes crinkle so much they basically close and his nose scrunches up.

And Eddie fucking THRIVES in it.

Because NO ONE else gets Steve like that.

Eddie’s witnessed Steve flirting with the girls of Hawkins. Has seen them all flirt back with varying degrees of bluntness.

None of them have gotten Steve nearly half as flustered as Eddie has.

UNTIL.

Eddie has Steve come over to the trailer to hang out. Steve by some turn of events ends up cooking and making grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Wayne comes home right as Steve is playing everything and Steve is DISTRAUGHT. Like “no Wayne it’s alright, really. I can make you some to it’s ok I like cooking you’re really doing me a favor.”

So Steve makes Wayne a grilled cheese to and refuses to let Eddie eat until they can eat together.

So they’re all sitting and then they start eating. And obviously it was a damn good grilled cheese— Eddie knew Steve could cook but good GOD.

And then Wayne puts his grilled cheese down, looks between Steve and Eddie, and tells Eddie “If you don’t marry ‘im I’m adoptin ‘im.”

And Steve BEAMS.

It’s that same smile he gets when Eddie flirts with him and Eddie is only somewhat livid.

Cause he totally gets the rush of having Wayne compliment you for the first time. He’s just such an honest man.

And it goes from there that the only people who can fluster Steve are Eddie and Wayne (Eddie romantically and Wayne platonic-fatherly).

They both go out of their way to compliment him constantly just to see him smile like that :)))

Aaahhhhh this makes me so happy!!!!

I'm aware this is part of the trend of snarky, snappy dialogue we see for banter on the american television. But I like that it's also Cassandra's little sister instinct shining through - every time we see her in season 3 she's being a leader, a lady, someone who deserves to be at the discussion table; and that's all well and good. Except whenever she's one on one with Percy she's smart mouthing him, being snarky and lovingly annoying him, lol. I think that goes to show how she leans on her big brother, and does so in a way that brings out a more comfortable and youthful side of her. As much as the De Rolos are not huggers, he was clearly all the family she had left :(((
