Are we going to pretend the Russian Czardom was impoverished backwater when it held several nations under imperialist yoke and was embroiled in expansionist wars with its neighbours for the better part of its last century ? Hell it was fighting one DURING the revolution with another imperial power !

the russian tsardom was in fact very notably an impoverished backwater, an agricultural economy in the age of industrialisation, which is one of the reasons why it was losing the eastern front of ww1 very badly. baffling how you would think this extremely documented fact, remarked upon at length by every single bolshevik writer, is self evidently absurd

i am so obsessed with how like. taken as read the ot3 are at this point. like on the one hand it feels like they've been building up to this for ages but on the other hand it kind of feels like i blinked and we skipped right past some Major Turning Point where everything got spelled out and we're just already in firmly Established Relationship-land. obviously tarvek is too well-protected for anyone to assassinate openly, look how angry his boyfriend and girlfriend are at the idea of anyone threatening him. at this point i'm half-convinced agatha's just going to refer to her boyfriends in passing to someone else and no one's even going to comment on it until van finds out twenty pages later and immediately starts making everyone pay up

thinking about how I went on eurovision tumblr in 2018, saw a lot of people outraged about israel not only winning and hosting the next one but also about being allowed to participate in the first place, went "wait what did they do" and proceeded to find out and start learning. meanwhile people now will watch footage and read news of actual genocide that no one committing it is denying and will still repeat israeli propaganda how it's all about defending from hamas and absolutely refuse to make any effort to learn anything. horrible

As you may know I have reopened several of my fics that I had previously done as one shots but felt like they never got closure...

A little back ground

Spin the Bottle: Takes place in the canon timeline, years in the future. Damian and Jon are in their early 20s and are members of the Titans. The current story is just a one shot detailing a time the boys partook in a game of spin the bottle with their team, the new part would include what happens after. This one will have more of a romcom feel to it. (Rated G)

Seven Minutes in Heaven: Takes place in an AU where Jon is never aged up (also may be the same age, it's ambiguous), Damian and Jon are in their late teens and are in high school. The current story is just a one shot detailing a time the boys hung with their friends playing a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven that turns emotional because it' isn't 's not just a game for Jon as he's secretly in love with his best friend. The new part would continue the story and will have lots of teen angst and drama. (Rated G)

The Fear of Losing You: Takes place in the canon timeline, in the present. In case anyone cares to know what I consider their ages to be, Damian is 15 and Jon is 17. The way the story is now, Damian comes in contact with a fear toxin and imagines the worst thing possible for him. We see this story from both POVs. The new part would include what happens immediately after these events, including what happens when Jon suffers the same effects. Something to note, given their ages in this one, this fic will mostly deal with unrequited crushes, even with the new addition there will not be concrete closure but I plan to give it more of an optimistic ending. (Rated G)

Memories and Mantles: Also takes place in the current timeline but far into the future (disregards the Lizzie future timeline because I wrote this before that came out and now I can't really change it). In this story Damian struggles with the fact that the mantle of Batman was forced upon him and he never got to do what he wanted. He also lives with the regret of never telling Jon he was in love with him. The new part will go into what happens next for the new World's Finest. I don't have a specific ending planed for this one yet but I do have a few options in mind. (Rated G...but this could change)

anyways, yeag i wrote that one 🥰 it’s actually one of the fics that i’m the most proud of ngl, like i’m really pleased how it turned out overall :) it’s definitely one of the ones that i go back and reread semi-frequently lmao

TIME FOR AN IMPORTANT FAERIE'S DAWN POLL

So, as I write Faerie's Dawn, there's a lot of things I'm excited for you guys to be able to read. But—alas! Because I want to have a buffer (stuff I've written, but have purposely held off on releasing to maintain a consistent schedule), I only release it twice a week! Meaning it'll be so long until you guys get to read different scenes!

But what if that weren't the case... what if I released more often? Every three days? Or, just whenever I feel like posting!?

But that would also mean there's no buffer... and, when time comes for me to return to school, you're going to get less frequent (or even NO!) updates!

So this is a question of delayed gratification for all of us.
