designs for my modern eah/mh au where their schools are rivals and cupid is the mediator. under the cut talks about the au and the character designs. its long tho. you have been warned.

In this au, both are boarding schools. EAH has a uniform, but the students personalize their uniforms to match their style, which was against the rules. The faculty was strict with the dress code, until Raven’s freshman year, where she accidentally sprung a series of events that resulted in the students holding a protest against the school’s outrageously strict dress code (raven wore a belt with her skirt the third day of school, which was against the dress code). The faculty began to care less and less as the weeks went on so now kids just wear the basics of the uniforms (white collar shirt, dress pants/skirts/shorts) and personalize everything else (shoes, ties/bowties, arm wear). Monster High has like zero dress code. Freedom of Expression is their message so students can dress however they want.

The rivalry between the two schools has gone back centuries, but no one is 100% sure as to how it all started. There are rumors of how it happened, but there has never been concrete evidence of how it all started.

Some Monster High students say that Ever After High’s founder, M. Grimm, had more influence than Monster High’s founder, H. Bloodgood, since Grimm was a much beloved politician at the time. So, he used his money and power to open his own school before Bloodgood did. This is why Ever After High has wealthier students as well as a bigger budget for the school’s events and their educational and athletic programs.

Some Ever After High students say that Bloodgood had tricked Grimm into signing off a large portion of his wealth to her. Bloodgood had used this money to build Monster High next to a small town filled with artists, artisans, and farmers. The local families sent their children to this boarding school believing it to be the best education around. This is why Monster High’s athletics and arts programs are much better than Ever After’s arts and athletics, since most students at MH were the children of artists and athletes.

Monster High’s architecture has also been known to be the most aesthetically pleasing in the state. Local families had helped make renovations to the school over the years which gave it the unique look. Monster High doesn’t need to hold as many fundraisers as Ever After High since most of the families who have enrolled their children there can just help the school themselves instead of paying for someone else to do it. Gym ceiling caved in? Call Jerry. Water fountain broke? Felix can fix it. Bake Sale for animal shelter? Nelson’s got it. The students are also very inclusive and try their best to be better than Ever After High in that way, being more welcoming and friendly.

The wealthy families of Ever After don’t contribute much to the little things at the school; cafeteria food, broken parts of the school (water fountains, doorways etc), or even some clubs (mostly artistic clubs/ programs). So, the students have to arrange fundraisers for themselves, as long as a faculty member sponsors/chaperones it, which almost never happens. They aren’t as close knit as they make themselves appear, many cliques and bullies roam the halls, excluding most anyone who they haven’t known for most of their lives. The friends that they do have, though, are friends for life. Once a clique is established, there aren’t many things that could break them apart.

Frankie Stein

I wasn’t 100% sure how i wanted to portray them in this au cuz i rlly like gen 1 and 3 designs and both versions kinda clash. i wanted to do certain things but they would have looked bad. might change the design later (still deciding). in this au, frankie is book smart, but not street smart. they often find themselves in dangerous situations because of this. i wanted to add scars to show this bc i think of frankie as someone who is ready to jump headfirst into anything, literally and figuratively.

I LOVE THIS DESIGN!!!! i loved her hair in mh so i wanted the curl from that instead of her eah hair and i though the headphones would be a cute addition. she is the ‘love goddess’ at school so i gave her heart theme accessories. her personality would be a bit more bold and outspoken compared to the eah version of cupid cuz spunky cupid is everything to me.

Raven Queen

The accidental bad girl. i wanted her to be edgier than most other characters, like avant garde, but i dont think she’d want to draw a lot of attention to herself, since the faculty already think she’s a rebellious teen so she’s only kinda edgy. she mostly sticks to herself and her friends. i feel like raven’s design came easiest cuz i know someone who looks so much like her and thats the way they dress so she’s based off of my lab partner (kinda).

I’m only asking because Youtube has been recommending me a LOT of infection stuff. Which is weird. I haven’t thought about MLP in a WHILE.

Eh, semi-recently! It was more like a few months ago but its one i remembered.

I never made an infection AU myself, but I made some fanart with old ocs involving some!

I did do some redesigns, that I never uploaded because forgor, but i did finish them!

I looooove doing redesigns, mostly for stuff I enjoy and wanna do my own spin on :] these are, again, a little old in terms of months but regardless i still really like them! I was a big horse girl when I was a kid so I loved adding some markings based on real horses into them. (dapple greys and paint horses my beloveds <33)

A few additional details I would love to talk about in one of those design-speedpaint-talkover videos but i probably wont make are:

Twilight's hair became wavy after becoming an alicorn, but when her hair gets in her way she'll take a pair of scissors and just cut them off out of frustration. this annoys rarity to no end

Rainbow Dash, compared to the others, is the second smallest. Very aerodynamic, but it drives her up the wall

Pinkie Pie is the smallest, Rainbow Dash doesn't let her forget that fact.

Fluttershy's antlers aren't natural / grown, its just a simple headdress or something similar to that!

Applejack would absolutely be a draft horse or something similar. My girl is a SHIRE BABEY!!

Other then that, I don't have much art to share I think. just some doodles from here and there!

Summary: Thorin overhears a conversation in a bar that makes him think Bilbo is considering suicide. Bilbo just thinks Thorin is hitting on him when he asks for 'thirty minutes to change his life'.

Summary: In which Dáin Ironfoot, Lord of the Iron Hills, shows he has more sense than his cousin, Thorin Oakenshield, King Under the Mountain, especially where a certain Hobbit is concerned.

Summary: The Company are atop of the Carrock, and there, through the mists, for the first time in over 150 years, Thorin, and the others, see home, they see their mountain.

The Mountain's call is louder than my sister's cries (Gen fic, Thorin & Dis, and other prompt from Dwarrowtober)

Summary: Thorin is about to set out to ask Dain and the other dwarven clans for aid in liberating Erebor from the dragon. Before that, he has to say goodbye to Dis, his beloved baby sister.

Dis is a daughter of Durin, and Oin isnt the only one in the family with foresight and she does not have a good feeling about this quest at all.

Durins endure! (Gen fic, Young Thorin and Company, another Dwarrowtober prompt)

Summary: It is the first Durins day after the battle of Azanulbizar. After their losses, as a clan, as a people, as a family.

What is left of the longbeards have to keep going, they have to survive this next harsh winter still reeling from their losses.

What coice does Thorin have, what choice does his people have. After all, they are Durins, and Durins endure.

Tea for Two:Even if they can't see you (Bilbo/Thorin, written for the @flashfictionfridayofficial prompt - Invisible Guests)

Summary: It is time for tea, and Bilbo demands his table set for two. Between that and the one sided convrsations he is having, his elven friends are worried about him.

A faunt, two dwarflings and their Uncles (Bilbo/Thorin, halloween fluff to prove to the Bagginshield Book Club thatI CAN write a whole fluffy fic lmao!)

Summary: Bilbo takes his nephew and ward Frodo to a haloween party at the community center. There he meets two little boys dressed as dwarflings and their handsome Uncle who was also a fellow casualty of the Tolkien fandom.

It's Time to Go Home Little Hobbit (BilboThorin, Bilbo & Frodo, a fic written for the Bagigshieldtober 2024 prompts from @acorn-and-oakleaves)

Summary: Bilbo left his husband and his mountain to return to the Shire for the first time in decades. he went back to claim Frodo and bring the lost, little hobbit back to Erebor where he will have an instant family who adroes him already, even though none have met him.

If only it was that simple.

The Family of the Bride is an Empty Space (Gen fic, Thorin & Dis, another prompt from the Dwarrowtober prompts.)

Summary: It is Dis' wedding day. Thorin should be happy, he is happy for her but he is finding it hard to smile when there are so many people missing who should be here, when they are in a borrowed mountain that isn't there.

No matter what though, he will smile, for Dis, the last of his family.

Well I wasn't expecting that (Bilbo/Thorin, written for @flashfictionfridayofficial's prompt - Full moon frenzy)

Summary: Thorin's new boyfriend has been acting oddly over the last few days, not enough to alarm him, but enough to intrigue him. With the full moon shining down on them as they snuggle, maybe he will find out why.

Would You Love Me If I Killed Them All For You? (Sirius/Remus, writte after a few convefsations with my beloved @brandileigh2003 about how Wolfstar wouldbe the perfect murder husbands!)

Summary: Sirius has learnt where Dumbledore has been sending Remus, back to the packs he despises. Using his as bait to lure out Greyback. The monster of Remus' nightmares.

Sirius can not, will not stand by and let htis happen, let Remus be used like this. No matter what he has to do to stop it, to keep hi Moony safe.

Harry and the oddly supportive notes (Harry/Draco, written for the Trick 4 treat fest)

Summary: Harry struggled to furfill an order for his muggle to magical object shop. In a bout of pain, he sent an unprofessional letter back explaining his grief. SInce then he has recieved oddly supportive, anonymous letter. Ones that made him feel better about everything in his life.

Or they did until they suddenly stopped coming, causing Harry to hafe to find the note sender himself.

We're Co-Grandpa's Geralt! (Geralt/Jaksier, written for another amazing propt from @thedemonofcat. It also has an inspired by fic - Jaskier's Prayer - fannishliss so please feel free to check that out! )

Summary: To everyone's surprise, Roach and Pegasus somehow managed to come together and produce a foal.

Geralt, naturally, is thrilled about the baby horse, while Jaskier gleefully announces that he and Geralt are now co-grandpas.

Love them like crazy (Bilbo/Thorin, Kili/Taurial, Older Bagignshield and Thorin is king scmoop under the moutain, even in a moden AU!)

Summary: Kili needs advice and the only person he can think to ask his uncle, his uncle who may look mean and gruff, but who is the biggest softy when it comes to his husband Bilbo.

Maybe Thorin can help settle Kili's nerves After all, he and Bilbo have aways made it work.

Wolves and wishes (Sirius/Remus, also written for the Trick 4 treat fest!)

Summary: Remus wants the best for his boy, after all, he has to go through life with a werewolf father, in a world that still hates Remus for what he is, war hero or not.

Enter one Sirius Black, best friend extrodinare, but what if Sirius wants more?

Summary: It had been a year since James' car accident A year where Regulus had almsot left everything worth living for At least he still had James and Harry, right?

Chaos energy being deeply connected to emotions does make a lot of sense! Like with Dark Sonic in Sonic X as an example, or things like Shadow’s/Silver’s massive chaos energy explosions often being tied to when they’re being threatened/angry is also a prime example!

The Dynamo Effect would make a lot of sense as well, since on a minor scale exercise does release happy brain chemicals. So if you were to do that on a massive scale it could cause something like that to happen. It could also be like whoever’s brain being like “whoopsies too much stimulus time to pump this thing full of adrenaline and tap out for bit”. Especially if we also consider that using a lot of chaos energy could hurt quite a bit!

If we’re talking about chaos energy related headcannons: It’s pretty much canon that Shadow has too much bang for his buck (he has to wear the inhibitor rings and all that). A little thought that’s rattled around in my head for awhile is that on top of the inhibitor rings he also has to vent excess energy. It’s one of the reasons he spars/races with people so much. Sonic is his go too (since they’re evenly matched) but I imagine Omega, Knuckles, Amy, Blaze, and Silver are on the list as well!

One of my main headcanons is that he does that moreso to release stress, HOWEVER, I also feel that Chaos energy being directly tied to mental health actually makes sense.

Alongside that though, this also implies that, whenever I've written Shadow racing his heart out and going into a dazed/bliss state where he's like, super euphoric, he's literally experiencing what I shall dub "The Dynamo Effect," in which he's surrounded by so much energy it basically gets him "high", which is REALLY funny for me to think about for some reason. Perhaps expelling lots of energy ("Chaos Effect," we could call it?) causes somewhat of a bliss state, and absorbing lots of energy ("Dynamo Effect") can lead to a rage state? And both Effects have a "too far too far shut down time" point, where it suddenly "short circuits" the person and makes them fuckin black out or some shit?

Why the fuck am i turning this into a logical system of energies.

Chrom propaganda:

“Chrobin (Chrom x player character) is so many tropes in one oml. You have friends-to-lovers (Chrom and Robin are canonically best friends according to Nintendo), enemies-to-lovers (Robin is heir to the Grimleal cult, the enemy of the Halidom of Ylisse which Chrom is the prince, and later king, of), there's amnesia, time travel, official next-gen AUs, changed dialogue to lore important events in the game if you marry Chrom, and Nintendo keeps teasing us with the ship. Cheery prince who knows when to be serious, very strategically smart but very bad at communicating, a guy that can comfort you when you're down, make a fool of himself when you're not around, and he's just generally a very sweet guy. Also please consider the fact that you get to watch a cutscene of him dying in the prologue and despite the horrors he's just so supportive of the protagonist. Chrom doesn't care about where you came from or who you're related to, he cares for YOU. He gets KILLED by the protag and he reassures them that they did nothing wrong and pleads with them to get out, to a safe place. I lost my soul to Chrom, I physically can't play this game without romancing him.”

Fritz propaganda:

“While Lucette (The MC) at the start of her game is cold and unwilling to bond with others - Fritz is considered one of the 'only company [she] can tolerate nowadays', so he's the closest thing Lucette had to a friend. This also shows that even when Lucette can be at her 'worst', Fritz is still willing to see the best in someone (In a genuine way). He also never doubted her ability to beat her curse.

He's kind, loyal, sweet, and capable in a fight. A good ol' knight! He's also shown to be very attentive to those he cares about, being able to easily list the favourites of his charge from his experiences rather than being directly told. He's also got a massive sweet tooth.

He's compared to a dog a few times with his loyalty plus his overall 'good boy' vibes. He also almost never makes a romantic move/gesture w̶i̶l̶l̶i̶n̶g̶l̶y̶ first before getting together (general not-feeling-like-they're-good-enough-for-their-beloved type stuff), which is a nice change of pace from a lot of male romance options out there I feel.

In the sequel fan-disc, he can propose, and he says 'Would you do me the honour of allowing me to become your husband' instead of the 'usual' 'honour of becoming my wife' 🥺

There's also the whole Varg situation...if you want more oomph.

i don't remember which style post i hijacked the tags to talk about gregstophe parenting on bc i am so sorry to my beloved fellow stylers out there but i cannot help myself. anyway YES I WILL TALK ABOUT GREGSTOPHE PARENTING

to start: i do have an actual, vaguely canon (to me) child i think about when i think about them as parents? he's now a part of my sp next gen au thing but he started as a fic idea i had wherein gregory and christophe become parents solely bc christophe accidentally orphans a child on a mercenary job and he panics and just. takes the kid. my first sketches of this idea, forget if i've shared them here or not:

his name is William Elliot aka Will aka Billy Elliot bc Gregory can't help himself and he would name his child something musical theatre-y but he'd try and be a little subtle about it

Will my baby boy aside, general headcanons:

i personally imagine both Gregory and Christophe having a lot of hang-ups about their own parents? Christophe obviously has a lot of conflicts with his mother and I imagine Gregory's parents, while more loving than Christophe's mother, had some extremely high expectations that left him with much anxiety. as such, the two of them are hesitant to become parents themselves.

despite that, they are both pretty good candidates to be excellent parents! as a revolutionary, Gregory definitely cares about leaving the next generation better off than him so I think he'd actually be passionate about working with kids. maybe not little little kids, but certainly tweens and teens. Christophe, while scary, is also kind of childish when he lets down his walls. he may seem serious but he is still doing that buttfor joke WELL into his adult years. it's a riot with little kids. they love his potty humor and animal impressions.

Gregory is of course initially very strict about everything. it's how his parents were with him, after all, and he turned out well, didn't he? the baby must be brought up with only the best quality children's programming, proper manners, a good tutor as soon as they enter school, etc. Christophe would push back against this, citing that Gregory did not turn out as perfect as he presents himself and also that Christophe's mother was super controlling too and he turned out even worse.

this leads to them reaching an agreement to try their best to keep each other honest about striking a good balance. Christophe keeps Gregory from being too meddling and Gregory keeps Christophe from closing himself off or being too aggressive/touchy about emotional subjects.

anyway whatever child they raise is like. insanely good jack of all trades. Gregory insists on a well-balanced education and is thrilled to teach them about anything they ever ask about, complete with a full reading list for further research. Christophe would definitely encourage them to be kind of rough and tumble, appreciate dirt and athletics and the mercenary/espionage stuff he knows. this results in the cleverest gremlin child you've ever met. exponentially more so if they're raised in south park.

this child's "aunts" and "uncles" (aka other adults that are Gregory and Christophe's friends that they have around often) would probably include Damien, Estella, and Kenny. this encourages the gremlin side. Pip, Wendy, and Kyle (some other aunts/uncles) try to help but they end up just encouraging the clever side. the child is chaos incarnate.

Gregory and Christophe are extremely proud and protective of their kid, though. no matter what. sure there's consequences for any horrible actions but they both heard enough from their parents about not being good or good enough and they refuse to perpetuate the cycle.

in short: they're the best fucking dads ever. thank you for coming to my gregstophe parent ted talk or scrolling past all that and just stopping where the big text is.

Cringetober[but it's December] Day 13: Creepypasta

Creepypastas, woof. I miss those days. The days of Slender and Smile Dog and Jeff the Killer. What a fun, creative, dark time. I miss the days of Grim Dark and just writing and creating because you wanted to. Without some weird moral compass you "had" to follow. Being allowed to just create.

I waffled on who I wanted to draw. Originally it was going to be Pinkamena(Cupcakes) and Rainbow Dash(Rainbow Factory) because I ship PinkieDash hardcore. But honestly, I've always liked Lil Miss Rarity, and she is one of my top favourite ponies. I also have a habit of giving her a terrible love life in my next gen AUs only to have her come out on top, happy and beloved. So I wanted to draw a happy Lil Miss Rarity.

So a few weeks ago a post floated into my awareness for #AU roulette 2024, and here's me working on becoming more well known and widespread as a writer, so I thought, "Why not?"

Well, I just got my assignments, and they are as follows:

Because you can't just pick your favorite of all your babies, I decided to randomize it a bit and found a dual-wheel spinner:

As of this moment (now...no, now. Now!) I haven't spun them yet, but I will be doing so in a moment...as soon as I set myself a couple more rules:

No Ranma/Ghost hunter, I'm already doing that for one of my current WIPs (Double Isekai) and that just wouldn't be sporting

No pairing up The Locked Tome with Coffee Shop. There's already a canonical, in-story Coffee Shop AU (and if you don't believe me you haven't read Harrow the Ninth)

No Star Trek/Western. Since the original Trek series did this to the point where Enterprise and Lower Decks followed suit and Next Gen did a holodeck episode of it, it just doesn't seem like a challenge if I did this. (As hawt as Troi-as-Durango is, to much of a gimme)

So, with no further ado, let's spin!

MLP: FiM - Coffee Shop

Divine Beans - Donut Joe is getting on in years and expanded his offerings from his beloved donuts to include coffee, and in the years since he's catered to many, many customers...but none quite so unusual as the two that showed up on the twentieth anniversary of Princess Twilight's coronation.

She-ra (2018) - Western

Big Enough - Adora's retiring. After nearly a decade of hunting down rogues and outlaws, she did one too many jobs that made her feel dirtier than a pair of riding boots at the end of a long ride. She finds a small town that's not likely to have ever heard of her and moves out to live out the rest of her days...but doesn't expect one of the most notorious gang leaders she'd ever faced to be in the same little town.

MLP: EqG - Ghost/Cryptid Hunters

In Plain Sight - Sunset is the producer of the show 'Un/Known,' where the hosts seek to prove or disprove the existence of ghosts and cryptids. The hosts are the ever sensible Applejack, known for her down-to-earth attitude, skepticism of the supernatural, and methodical approach to their investigations and the wildcard Rainbow Dash, ever ready to charge right in and ready to believe in even the wildest supernatural stories. Behind the scenes, Rarity does their make-up and wardrobe. Fluttershy is the animal wrangler, often discovering that a 'haunting' was just a poor critter that wandered where it didn't belong. On both the technical advisory side and the in-field editor angle is Twilight Sparkle, also known to their fans as "SciTwi," who brings a level of lore knowledge and research that boggles even the most die-hard believers in their audience. Pinkie Pie is...there. Nobody's quite sure what she does or how she follows them from shoot to shoot, but she's not on the payroll and apparently is completely oblivious to the fact that she's on a show, she just insists on "hanging out with her friends." To everyone's frustration, she's not a cryptid.

What none of the rest know is that Sunset is a cryptid. An alien to this universe, to be specific. She's been able to keep this a secret for years now...but there's a report of a new cryptid appearing in the form of a tall, willowy woman (with "Big Mom energy" according to a local witness) in exactly the small, suburban town she first arrived on this world in, and worse, she suspects she knows exactly who the new 'cryptid' is.

Well there you have it, three AUs, all ideas I had not before receiving the email.

Rules of participation say I only need to post one, but my personal stretch goal will be all three.

Oh, and keep an eye out for a surprise in each of these.

I'm really excited about this lil comic (it was supposed to be a one panel butttttt)

Ok so the lovely lil baby on the right is Menodora who belongs to @nova1516!!!!(thank you for giving me permission to post this :33) She is Lolo and Gajah kid with lighting magic!

The lil shit on the left it my Lolo x Gajah x Vanica kid Elle!(beloved rear pare) She is a devil host with Devil Ice magic and Thunderstorm magic. She and her devil Alester are in fact dating (Thats why she gets called devil fucker). The Athina she mentioned is her twin sis with Lighting magic but she also has an older brother Theodor with Blood magic.

I had a lot of fun making this!! Again thank you so much Nova for letting me post this! I would love to hear about you Next gen Au ( Yes this is an invention for you to spam me about it, if you want ofc )

However, I think Meno would try to get Elle to join her army but Elle would be like "Girl hell no"( she would definitely make fun of her for her lack of bitches)

I've had this character in my head for a while now but I thought I would make her in the sims to bring her to life, so here is Carene Álvarez, the daughter of Simbar!

I absolutely adore her, the traits I gave her are Goofball and Overachiever and she has the Admired Icon aspiration.

Basically, she is not only the most wonderful combination of Simón and Ámbar but also a bit of Luna, because in my future AU or whatever you'd call it, Luna stays around home and helps raise Carene, so her beloved bubbliness and chaos definitely shines through! I thought it would be really sweet to have a character that kind of has a similar fancy style of dress to Ámbar while also being funny and silly, she can be proper and have fun too!

Carene is of course a musician and roller skater like her parents but she struggles trying to do everything - be the rink owner's kid (Ámbar owns a couple of Jam & Roller rinks in my AU), be the kid of a famous musician, be top of her class etc, essentially trying to live up to the success and reputation of her family.

As you can see she definitely has a change here but it's not an emo phase like her mum, it's more of a carefree artist vibe where she lets go of the need to be perfect at everything and embraces her dad's and Luna's approach to her passions and experiments with who she is! She's so cute and a really fun character to think about so maybe I'll write something about her eventually :)

What I did think I might do was basically make a sims story with the next gen (if you don't know what that is, it's basically like a comic except instead of drawings it's screenshots of sims), I'm not sure but I think that's probably the easiest way for me to fully write a future AU (because I never commit to long fics I just can't lmao), so maybe I'll do that!
