i’m so. tired. this has been such an exhausting weekend so far and i’ve still got one more shift to go
#on top of everything else that happened today. i got spit on by a customer earlier#he spit off one of the balconies (presumably aiming for the penguin exhibit) and it landed directly on top of my head#several coworkers witnessed this. nobody was able to catch the guy and we’re pretty sure he left on his own#never been more done with other humans

Genuinely so curious who Mike thinks is gonna be buying The Cage or the new DCTL GN bc with the way he tweets as far as he's concerned, it's not gonna be:
The queer people he has actively admitted he will never show any representation of in the games.
2. The POC he has actively fought against representing in his franchise. [Who he also mocked for thinking they would be represented in his franchise]
3. The Bendy fandom which has always been concerned with topics of diversity esp in the sense of queer people since its creation. Who he has responded to really poorly esp in regards to the GN.
4. The fans who critique him. [He blocked me for doing so lol]
5. His fans in general who he tweets about like this currently. [He's being vague about why people were mad at him or sent him 'nasty messages' because if you actually looked into why you'd see he was in the wrong. Either way, a very hateful way to speak abt ur own fanbase.]
Reminder while Mike is trash talking his fans he has always treated them rather poorly. The fans who won the fanart contest for Chapter 5 never got their posters actually in game due to it being rushed. Not only was chapter 5 a big slap to the face story wise, but it was literally so rushed he couldn't be bothered to add in the art his fans gave him for his game FOR FREE. [Meatly blames this on a crazy timeline, reminder him and Mike are the literal ceos of this company. The proposal of future updates here is also pretty cruel considering Mike nowadays happily admits he corrupted Chapter 5's source code and therefore literally can't update it At All currently. Because he is a moron]
At least they got to be in Boris and the dark survival, and by that I mean that was the Only game they got to be in so far, isn't that just treating your fans like you love them? Shoving their hard work into a spin off game almost nobody has played or addresses much. [Hell, who knows if with the Lone Wolf rebrand they'll even stay there. In which case they'll be in None of the games, only in the credits of BATIM]
6. The Bendy fans who just generally disagree with him on stuff. Like the new ink demon design where there is literally a public poll showing people generally prefer the old one.
7. The Bendy fans who can see he is actively lying to them. To their fucking faces.
He says this has always been the case, but screenshots and links to tweets regarding the books being canon prove it was not. Does he really think bendy fans are stupid or something? [Unless he's admitting here he lied to Kress when he told her the books were canon which sounds worse!]
8. Anyone who doesn't like the idea of giving money to a guy who laid off tons of employees then afterwards thought it was a great idea to express his anti-union views! Also brag about how good of an employer he was, according to his employees, he was not!
So in summary; Mike is an awful person who has not learned anything from the awful things he did. I will not be purchasing The Cage because, combined with this and his absolute refusal to take any kind of critique or see any differing interpretation of his franchise, I have no reason to think my problems with the franchise will ever be addressed or fixed. I probably will pirate The Cage along with any future Bendy Products [Including the movie] and will do my best to avoid giving it any kind of monetary support. Unless this changes any time soon, I can't see myself making anymore positive Bendy posts soon.
Mike has just managed to make it so hard to speak positively or optimistically of this franchise when he's so willing to broadcast how little he cares about it or its fans. I'm at the point where I refuse to pull any of my punches with my problems with it. What's the point of trying to play nice with my critique when either way the people creating it don't care?
So with this post, I want to invite anyone who feels similarly about the franchise to tell me, make a post or send an ask talking about how all of this makes you feel. It may not change how things are, but genuinely seeing other people share my feelings of anger makes me feel better. It feels nice to see when other people share our same concerns and worries. I'd also love to know if anyone else thinks they'll be avoiding purchasing Bendy products over this.
I'm not forcing anyone to participate in it nor trying to say anyone who doesn't supports mike but genuinely maybe if we can collectively decide to boycott things like the movie, graphic novel and The Cage... It might at least make the bendy devs acknowledge how much they have destroyed their own fandom's faith and trust in them.
The way Mike tweets about his actions like he had no control over why people were mad at him at least proves to me he takes NONE of it back nor regrets it. If you didn't know about his actions and only went off his tweets, you would be led to believe Mike has been needlessly picked apart by fans over things he couldn't control [or in his own words, had his words twisted and taken out of context]. That is not how you speak about your actions if you have actually learned better from them.
anyway, that has been my bendy dev callout post. This is an open invitation to anyone feeling similarly upset about the way the franchise is going to talk about it. It's genuinely nice to see how people feel about this and the more we talk about the more it's likely the bendy devs are forced to address our concerns. I don't think they will but hey, that's why I'm not gonna support them with my money anymore nor am I gonna be nice to them in any content I make critiquing Bendy. I mean I'm also basically making this post just in case anyone asks me Why I feel this way towards to bendy devs/as a way to respond to anyone who thinks I am too harsh in my critique in the future.
As always, it seems the best part of Bendy isn't actually anything about canon but about what the fan's are creating with the ideas Bendy failed to do anything interesting with.

Angels’ trueforms in their most memorable moments [26/?] - Nephilim fetus: regular nephil, sired by a regular angel (above) and Jack, sired by Lucifer (below)

#NEW ONE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AGES!!! I TOLD YALL I WASN'T DONE WITH THIS!!!#SO sorry it took so long. i still can't control my artblocks. but i've had this idea for so long#spn#spnart#spn art#mine.caro#ok so. explanation time. cracking my knuckles. i haven't done this in so long ahhhh#so i HAD to do nephilim eventually. of course. and the key thing about them is they're the children of angels and humans#and i figured i'd start with a fetus bc that's the nephil version of the angel factory settings. and that needed a shape like the AFS did#it felt right to go with a sphere. and after the nephil is born and becomes a more distinct individual etc the spheres unravel in different#ways. some open up like pillbugs (woodlouse? i never know the right name). others sprout like seeds. others spiral out. the possibilities#are endless hehe. and the sphere had to have a mix of angel trueform and human soul. which i've been coding so far as the black and white#trueforms and collages. so that was settled. but that couldn't be it bc it's not just one and the other. they're integrated in one thing#so. for the regular nephil i filled out some cells in black like angel trueforms and others with collages. in the trueforms cells#and it's Earthly Things like plants and body parts and fruits and animals water and the sky and rocks etc. and a bigger solid collage block#that's just body parts. so specifically human stuff. AND THEN i took that sphere (well circle) and cut it up and kintsugi'ed it with#angel grace. feels like a way to go to represent nephil. and then i added the angel wheels to look like a sort of proto version of AFS#and that's regular nephil. for jack he had to be different bc lucifer nephil is thee antichrist. it's different. so i followed the samelogi#but based on the lucifer trueform instead of AFS. so i painted the solid black with alcohol-based markers so i could smudge it with alcohol#and then added the collage bits (more from a fitness magazine than a fashion magazine i used for the other one. gets a more aggressive vibe#i think. more flexed muscles) and painted the chaotic smoke cloud over it. and then i did the same kintsugi process. i was gonna do it in#silver but figured it made no sense. it should be the same. and the black and gold look cool#and what else. regular nephil has a rosary-like umbilical cord! emerging from one of the poles of the sphere so to speak#and jack has none :// partly bc i forgot at first kfjg but then i didn't go back to add it bc i feel that matches fetus jack's situation#considering it's an angel grace umbilical cord#and i think that's it!#these aren't up on the stores yet but im gonna add them now#hope they're worth the wait. if anyone was waiting for more#Trueforms

pallas in book one is definitely at it-cannot-possibly-get-worse-than-this ABSOLUTE rock bottom but god. there is such a specific flavour to their despair in book two that only happens because of the realization they have at the end of lay me down. like. how do you move on after admitting that everything you believed in was a lie. how do you live with what you’ve done (with what has been done to you). is it possible to pull yourself up out of the pit you’ve dug. what do you do if it isn’t. what do you do if it IS. and once you look at the damage how do you stop looking. past the first layer of hurt there’s just more and more hurt and you were used by the one person who was supposed to keep you safe to cause even MORE pain and no matter how deep you go none of it means anything! it never meant anything at all!! motherfucker your worst sin is that you have destroyed and betrayed yourself for NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i’m sooooooo happy you caught on to that because yes! hiraeth, as a whole, is meant to represent the season of autumn! :D autumn symbolizes both balance and harmony, which is something the seasonal angels obviously lacked as their personal struggles prevented them from “growing” out of their season. yvan’s ice was allowed to melt because of poppy’s warmth, and poppy was allowed to bloom because of kaia’s sun, and maybe kaia could have shined brighter now that her angels were by her side, but what happens next if they weren’t ready to accept themselves as a whole?
for them, the autumn season is a literal gateway to a new side of themselves they've never encountered before, as autumn has never been represented to them. once they've come to accept themselves as their own person, they created the first full moon in their world. its glow will be their motivation to act beyond celestia and on their own terms because they are not just the angels of the season anymore. they are themselves. they are you.
and it was not intentional for the company, but for me it was!!!! 🙈 basically, their former member nari was supposed to be part of the group, but after a big fight during kaia’s solo debut era between her and the members, she decided to leave both the project and the company. obviously, their creative director scrambled to fix the new loophole in their concept because they had no angel of autumn anymore! and they couldn’t just, you know, start all over! but they figured something out and it 100% makes sense! it’s like they didn’t even need nari or the angel of autumn at all. 🤭

im glad belos got what he deserved and is actually fully gone for good and wont ever hurt anyone ever again, but its also really funny and fascinating to think about shoving luz and ghost-belos into a locked room together where neither of them can physically harm each other and just force them to have an actual honest conversation for once
#krav talks#toh#toh spoilers#they wouldnt even try to convince the other to come to their senses. been there done that. even belos has to admit that he lost and luz won#nah they'd end up talking extensively about magic theory.#if belos was forced to be civilized and talk to luz like a fuckin equal for once he'd end up infodumping. i know it#also he'd ask so many questions about what the human realm is like after 400 years#belos could explain some things and luz could explain some things and they wouldnt 'bond' persay but more a grudging mutual respect#luz threatens to withhold information whenever he strays too close to any sort of 'witches are the spawn of satan and must die' talk#belos does the same when luz tries to preach about how witches are good and that his god probably isnt even real#so they dance around those topics bcus they both have constant hunger for knowledge and will make compromises to get it#and luz knows belos cant hurt anyone anymore so denying him it is pointless#he's also surprisingly really fun to debate with. at least about stuff that dont have any moral or ethical implications#like glyph combinations neither of them attempted before#i can fully imagine belos insisting that using fire and ice in such a way would only backfire#but luz arguing the opposite because of the way they interacted together in this other combo that she used once#but neither of them can prove it bcus the glyphs dont work anymore so it never really escalates beyond concepts

sometimes i really do think recovery is not for me
#personal#when my whole life is spent recovering i dont even get to live. to be human. my whole life is an illness essentially#and it doesnt even help either. ive done so many treatments. taken pill after pill. been hospitalized. and yet im still just a disorder#and thats how most ppl see me. even if im trying my hardest. its NEVER enough for them. im still ''broken''. to be fixed#maybe i just want to be enough for once in my damn life. to not feel like i have to recover in order to feel content with life#im sick of feeling like a project. a lab expirement for others to figure out#you dont have to understand me or what ive been thru to treat me with basic human decency#so with more and more time passing. i really do feel like recovery isnt for me#more that its the only way i feel i could possibly be of any value is if im either rid of my illnesses (which is improbable) or nonexistent#be nonexistent*#just needed to rant. not to anyone but in general. to spill these words since i usually bottle them all in#idc if i make sense or not. im not here for anyone to make sense of. im here to live
