when are people going to speak up about how hard it is for neurodivergent women & girls? we are told to mask our entire lives & we often go misdiagnosed/undiagnosed just because we don’t act like your average white five year old autistic boy. we are told we aren’t neurodivergent, but then are ostracized for the crime of being neurodivergent. we learn how to mask very early on in life because of strict female socialization, but the second we get tired of masking or get comfortable enough to deviate from societal norms; we get called weird freaks. we get mocked for the simplest things, such as being so heavily interested in something & daring to talk about it. we get called lazy & creepy for not knowing how to fit in, for not getting social cues, for not understanding how to “act properly” & for questioning this neurotypical-centric world & its societal norms. we get called rude, mean, blunt, we get lectured for “being way too literal” & “not having a filter” just because we are being our authentic selves. i cannot count the numerous times people have called me a mean girl & talked behind my back about how rude i am, or straight up yelled right in my face how i “need to quit being so fucking mean”. whenever i asked what the problem was, i would be faced with a “you know what you did. own up to it!”. i would be called manipulative, cunning, i would get told i had a victim complex. all neurodivergent people face such struggles, but we need to acknowledge that our society is a patriarchy, and that medicine is androcentric & it is harder for women & girls to be diagnosed because neurodivergency has a male model base, and medicine simultaneously ignores & fails to consider sexist socialization. neurodivergent women are subject to more dangerous forms of misogyny, and are more likely to be victims of sexual assault & sexual coercion. and because males are generally allowed a freer childhood, neurodivergent men & boys generally face more sympathy & feel more free to express themselves without the need to mask.
**also, all neurodivergent women & girls feel free to talk to me about their special interests/and or hyperfixations, on this post and in general**

Are you heading for a burnout without even realizing it? For neurodivergent folks, the warning signs of burnout may look different and be harder to recongize.
Neurodivergent or not, we all need to understand our limits and boundaries. When you’re neurodivergent, you may not know you pushed yourself too far - until it’s too late!
Need help with some of the terms in this post?
😎 “Masking” or “Camouflaging": a coping strategy that many neurodivergent people use to suppress aspects of themselves to appear neurotypical. It’s important to note that social masking is a tool many neurospicy folks use to keep themselves safe, and usually starts in childhood. 🥄 “Spoons” refers to Spoon Theory, which is a metaphor describing the amount of physical or mental energy that a person has for daily activities and tasks. It is a helpful tool for disabled and neurodivergent folks to describe their energy. 👋 “Stim” short for "self-stimulation" is a term used to describe repetitive behaviors or movements that people may engage in to help cope with emotions. It may include rocking, flapping hands or twirling.
If any of this resonates with you, try letting the “mask” slip a little!

This is IMPORTANT especially if you live in the USA or use the internet REGULATED by the USA!!!!
Do not scroll. Signal boost. Reblog.
Reblog WITHOUT reading if you really can't right now, I promise all the links and proof are here. People NEED to know this.
( I tried to make this accessible but you can't cater to EVERYONE so please just try your best to get through this or do your own research 🙏)
TLDR: Homeland Security has been tying our social media to our IPs, licenses, posts, emails, selfies, cloud, apps, location, etc through our phones without a warrant using Babel X and will hold that information gathered for 75 years. Certain aspects of it were hushed because law enforcement will/does/has used it and it would give away confidential information about ongoing operations.
This gets renewed in September.
Between this, Agincourt (a VR simulator for cops Directly related to this project), cop city, and widespread demonization of abortions, sex workers, & queer people mixed with qanon/Trumpism, and fascism in Florida, and the return of child labor, & removed abortion rights fresh on our tails it's time for alarms to be raised and it's time for everyone to stop calling us paranoid and start showing up to protest and mutual aid groups.
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
These are the same feds who want to build cop city and recreate civilian houses en masse and use facial recognition. The same feds that want cop city to also be a training ground for police across the country. Cop city where they will build civilian neighborhoods to train in.
Widespread mass surveillance against us.
Now let's cut to some parts of the article. May 17th from Vice:
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is using an invasive, AI-powered monitoring tool to screen travelers, including U.S. citizens, refugees, and people seeking asylum, which can in some cases link their social media posts to their Social Security number and location data, according to an internal CBP document obtained by Motherboard.
Called Babel X, the system lets a user input a piece of information about a target—their name, email address, or telephone number—and receive a bevy of data in return, according to the document. Results can include their social media posts, linked IP address, employment history, and unique advertising identifiers associated with their mobile phone. The monitoring can apply to U.S. persons, including citizens and permanent residents, as well as refugees and asylum seekers, according to the document.
“Babel data will be used/captured/stored in support of CBP targeting, vetting, operations and analysis,” the document reads. Babel X will be used to “identify potential derogatory and confirmatory information” associated with travelers, persons of interest, and “persons seeking benefits.” The document then says results from Babel X will be stored in other CBP operated systems for 75 years.
"The U.S. government’s ever-expanding social media dragnet is certain to chill people from engaging in protected speech and association online. And CBP’s use of this social media surveillance technology is especially concerning in connection with existing rules requiring millions of visa applicants each year to register their social media handles with the government. As we’ve argued in a related lawsuit, the government simply has no legitimate interest in collecting and retaining such sensitive information on this immense scale,” Carrie DeCell, senior staff attorney at the Knight First Amendment Institute, told Motherboard in an email.
The full list of information that Babel X may provide to CBP analysts is a target’s name, date of birth, address, usernames, email address, phone number, social media content, images, IP address, Social Security number, driver’s license number, employment history, and location data based on geolocation tags in public posts.
Bennett Cyphers, a special advisor to activist
organization the Electronic Frontier Foundation, told Motherboard in an online chat “the data isn’t limited to public posts made under someone’s real name on Facebook or Twitter.”
The document says CBP also has access to AdID information through an add-on called Locate X, which includes smartphone location data. AdID information is data such as a device’s unique advertising ID, which can act as an useful identifier for tracking a phone and, by extension, a person’s movements. Babel Street obtains location information from a long supply chain of data. Ordinary apps installed on peoples’ smartphones provide data to a company called Gravy Analytics, which repackages that location data and sells it to law enforcement agencies via its related company Venntel. But Babel Street also repackages Venntel’s data for its own Locate X product."
The PTA obtained by Motherboard says that Locate X is covered by a separate “commercial telemetry” PTA. CBP denied Motherboard’s FOIA request for a copy of this document, claiming it “would disclose techniques and/or procedures for law enforcement investigations or prosecutions”.
A former Babel Street employee previously told Motherboard how users of Locate X can draw a shape on a map known as a geofence, see all devices Babel Street has data on for that location, and then follow a specific device to see where else it has been.
Cyphers from the EFF added “most of the people whose location data is collected in this way likely have no idea it’s happening.”
CBP has been purchasing access to location data without a warrant, a practice that critics say violates the Fourth Amendment. Under a ruling from the Supreme Court, law enforcement agencies need court approval before accessing location data generated by a cell phone tower; those critics believe this applies to location data generated by smartphone apps too.
“Homeland Security needs to come clean to the American people about how it believes it can legally purchase and use U.S. location data without any kind of court order. Americans' privacy shouldn't depend on whether the government uses a court order or credit card,” Senator Ron Wyden told Motherboard in a statement. “DHS should stop violating Americans' rights, and Congress should pass my bipartisan legislation to prohibit the government's purchase of Americans' data." CBP has refused to tell Congress what legal authority it is following when using commercially bought smartphone location data to track Americans without a warrant.
Neither CBP or Babel Street responded to a request for comment. Motherboard visited the Babel X section of Babel Street’s website on Tuesday. On Wednesday before publication, that product page was replaced with a message that said “page not found.”
Do you know anything else about how Babel X is being used by government or private clients? Do you work for Babel Street? We'd love to hear from you. Using a non-work phone or computer, you can contact Joseph Cox securely on Signal on +44 20 8133 5190, Wickr on josephcox, or email [email protected].
Wow that sounds bad right.
Be a shame if it got worse.
.
.
It does.
The software (previously Agincourt Solutions) is sold by AI data company Babel Street, was led by Jeffrey Chapman, a former Treasury Department official,, Navy retiree & Earlier in his career a White House aide and intelligence officer at the Department of Defense, according to LinkedIn.
🙃
So what's Agincourt Solutions then right now?
SO FUCKING SUS IN RELATION TO THIS, THATS WHAT

In essence, synthetic BATTLEVR training is a mixture of all three realities – virtual, augmented and physical. It is flexible enough to allow for mission rehearsals of most types and be intuitive enough to make training effective.
Anyway the new CEO of Babel Street (Babel X) as of April is a guy named Michael Southworth and I couldn't find much more on him than that tbh, it's all very vague and missing. That's the most detail I've seen on him.
And the detail says he has a history of tech startups that scanned paperwork and sent it elsewhere, good with numbers, and has a lot of knowledge about cell networks probably.
Every inch more of this I learn as I continue to Google the names and companies popping up... It gets worse.
Monitor phone use. Quit photobombing and filming strangers and for the love of fucking God quit sending apps photos of your actual legal ID to prove your age. Just don't use that site, you'll be fine I swear. And quit posting your private info online. For activists/leftists NO personally identifiable info at least AND DEFINITELY leave your phone at home to Work™!!!

Friendly reminder that if you support reproductive rights and bodily autonomy but say that disabled people shouldn't have children because they'll pass down their genes which is "cruel" or "abusive", you do not support reproductive rights and bodily autonomy. Reproductive rights do not only concern abortion for cis white abled women.

The Affinity Between Autism and Stuffed Animals: An Unfurling Bond
The nuanced bond between individuals with autism and stuffed animals is a matter of significant intrigue and insight. The soft, predictable, and non-threatening nature of these plush companions presents a calming aura, contrasting the often overstimulating and unpredictable real world. This article delves into the underlying reasons explaining the predilection of individuals on the autism spectrum towards forming attachments with stuffed animals.
Sensory Processing: People with autism often experience sensory processing differences which may make them more sensitive or less responsive to sensory stimuli. Stuffed animals, with their soft and predictable textures, offer a soothing sensory experience. The tactile sensation can provide comfort, reduce anxiety, and help in managing overstimulation.
Predictability and Routine: Individuals with autism tend to favor routine and predictability. Stuffed animals, being inanimate, provide a consistent and predictable interaction. Unlike humans or other animals, stuffed toys do not change their behavior or appearance suddenly, which can be reassuring.
Emotional Regulation: Stuffed animals can serve as emotional regulators. They provide a source of comfort and security which can be particularly beneficial in unfamiliar or stressful situations. Their presence can also aid in self-soothing, which is crucial for emotional regulation.
Non-verbal Communication: For those with autism, interpreting social cues or engaging in social interactions can be challenging. Stuffed animals provide a non-threatening way to explore emotions and practice social skills in a safe, controlled environment.
Unconditional Acceptance: The unconditional acceptance offered by stuffed animals is comforting. Unlike interactions with people, there is no fear of judgment, rejection, or misunderstanding with a plush companion.
Symbolic Interaction: Stuffed animals can serve as a bridge to understanding and expressing emotions, as well as a medium to interact with others. They can act as proxies in social interactions, making the process less intimidating and more manageable.
Conclusion: The affinity towards stuffed animals among individuals with autism is rooted in both sensory processing and the emotional comfort derived from the predictable, non-judgmental companionship they offer. Understanding this bond can pave the way for developing more effective therapeutic interventions, thereby enhancing the quality of life for those on the autism spectrum.

Have you heard the commonly said statement 'Autistic people are more likely to be trans' ?
What do you think about it?
And why are so many detransitioners autistic?

talking about pre transition privilege to a trans woman is so funny bc yeah actually being perceived as a man was killing me in ways you could never understand but sure, being seen as a man in all social situations despite being a traumatized woman the whole time was always a net positive for me and has never resulted in me getting assaulted, ostracized or ridiculed ever!
and like in general, this discussion never brings something positive to the table. do neurodivergent people benefit from neurotypical privilege while masking despite that masking killing or disabling us in the long run? sure. but you sound like a fucking dick.

Sick of how people are like "ew what's that" when people are acting childish or something like hello? can you be a human fucking being for a second?
Its my life, the way I grew up and the way I was treated as a neurodivergent and disabled person. The developmental delays, my echolalia and vocal stims and the way that I look and have been treated makes me look, act and be treated like a child.
So before you say "omg all women are infantilized in stories and media and its so gross and yucky", like shut the fuck up. If you aren't disabled or don't have developmental delays, you don't know what it's like and its not your right to judge people who act like kids.
If you say "omg men treat women like babies" and then turn around and look at an autistic woman and think she's "ew gross" because she acts like a child, actually go fuck yourself.

And for both the liberal and the far-right, this belief that marginalized people are "weak" satisfies power fantasies. For the liberal, it satisfies savior fantasies. For the far-right, it satisfies fantasies of annihilation and subjugation.

im not even a trans woman and i look so fucking horrendous and ugly. im neurodivergent as fuck so i don’t know how to take care of my body properly without forgetting or my interests getting in the way. At the age i was supposed to be my prettiest, my shitty dominican dna cursed me with an ugly mustache, slow metabolism, facial acne, and like the ugliest boobs I’ve ever seen. I fucking despise my dad for putting me through so much for that alone, and he doesn’t even come around to help. He avoids paying my mom child support (which i need btw because im ND and I want to get lessons and actual good clothing)
In all due seriousness, all of the other girls my age are literally in normal schools and passing their shit with flying colors while developing a few talents. I can’t even complete regular tasks and im in a school full of weirdos and a boy that i used to like but stopped after finding out how fucking ugly he looked and how much he objectified me (he had a p0rn addiction, had a b3lly fetish, and is basically the corniest dude on earth, even my mom doesn’t like him)
I hate my heritage for giving me such a disadvantage, not only genetic wise, but also economically. (my dad was an immigrant, and my mom’s parents were too.)
It’s just every time i try to be better i look r3t4rd3d as fuck and i feel as if god as a whole entity is trying to hold me back from achieving my goals because I’m destined to be inferior to everyone
I don’t know how people (ESPECIALLY WHITE PRIVILEGED REGULAR PEOPLE) always argue that they’re a certain complicated form of a “gender” trying to find reasons to be mad when there’s an obvious fact that im literally the ugliest girl in the world.
If there’s a god, why did they give me this ugly body as a teenage girl? Eh? Did my stupid personality completely align with how im supposed to look? Why do all of the radfems and non radfems have pretty bodies but im just a slab of fucking cells? I literally got made fun of in a discord server for the way my boobs look and every other girl gets to be pretty with perfectly round and perky ones.
anyways, sorry for the vent. I’m just so frustrated with how I look and how normal every kid around me is. If I wasn’t so ugly, I wouldn’t be attracting the weirdest fucking creeps ever.

Remember that reproductive rights don't just mean the right to an abortion or other contraception. They mean the right to reproduce just as much. It's only really ever exclusively been the right not to reproduce for cishet, white, able bodied (especially able bodied) people.
When you hear someone talk about the poor having too many children or talking about overpopulation do you understand that that's an attack on reproductive rights (and also eugenics rhetoric)?
Do you consider the fact that many women have to have their reproductive organs surgically removed to be legally considered women an attack on reproductive rights? Do you consider it weird that this is what many democrats consider a "reasonable middle ground"?
Do you consider the fact that many neurodivergent people are put on medication that removes sexual function and essentially chemically castrates them, and most doctors don't see this as an issue (especially when the patient in question is afab) an attack on reproductive rights?
Do you consider the fact that people's wombs are being removed in the American concentration camps that continue to operate on American soil an attack on reproductive rights? (And have you thought about the concentration camps since it stopped being a talking point about an individual politician?)
If you do not understand attacks on the marginalized's right to reproduce as attacks on reproductive rights, than you do not get to call yourself pro choice. Your just pro abortions for privileged women.
