Realizing dead boy detectives isn't getting a season two means realizing that Niko won't get a proper funeral, Jenny will be left in shock and guilt about her cuz she was just a kid, Crystal wont get to heal without focusing on her parents, Edwin won't get to run a proper, official agency without death on their tale, Charles won't have his whole realization character arc, NO MORE TRAGIC MICK ADVICE 😭, the night nurse wont be seen happy or at least mildly content, whatever the fuck happened with Esther and Monty, and most importantly there isn't any more forever to figure stuff out

So many more people are watching the show because of fans recommending it and campaigning to save it

yes, save dead boy detectives. yes, save good omens. yes, continue sandman. but fucking fire neil gaiman first. have him renounce his royalties. the lump sum for the rights, the producer/writer salary, any residuals. if that doesn’t happen (and it seems unlikely), then don’t go ahead with the shows. don’t give him more money.

his backing out voluntarily or being forced out of financial benefit is a prerequisite for my willingness to support any of these projects in the future. i hope it is for you, too.

these shows and their accompanying works are dear to me. dbd is one of my favourite shows of all time. i want it to go on for so many reasons. but not at the price of funding an alleged predator. go was formative for one of my own writing projects, and it’s influence is seen in a lot of my writing. but i can’t in good conscience support go itself as long as he’s involved. sandman is brilliant and i’m fully emotionally invested. but i won’t invest financially unless he’s gone.

the other wonderful and talented people involved in these projects deserve to continue them. ng doesn’t. the casts, crews, other writers, and specifically terry pratchett, they deserve these things. the fans deserve them. we can make these our own, but only if neil is gone first.

In a Variety interview, the Amazon MGM Studios head made a statement surrounding their "commitment to female programming". They recently held a trailblazer event in London, which celebrated the women of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.

As you've guessed, My Lady Jane, a show that has critical claim, a 95% rotten tomatoes score, an endorsement from George R.R. Martin, and was top 10 throughout the summer on the platform in multiple countries, was omitted from this event. The show has an all female EP team and it is VERY clear when watching the show. The show emphasises consent and healthy communication, and does not resort to violence nor features egregious (often hard to watch) content.

Seeing a show be excluded from such an event is so disheartening.

If My Lady Jane was airing week to week it wouldn't have even finished before it was cancelled. No time was given for it to reach everyone, especially with no marketing (fan-driven only!), and being dropped in the middle of the Euros and right before the Olympics. People have lives!!!

There is a difference between a commitment to women in programming and simply having women in your show @ Prime. Celebrate your successes, and all of your trailblazers.

We did it Third Army! We gained 200,000 signatures on the petition to renew Shadow and Bone and greenlight the Six of Crows Spinoff!! Look at how far we have come!! This is a major milestone we have accomplished, both in the speed and dedication we have shown to our cause. Be proud, Third Army, for this is a genuine major accomplishment!

Not my usual content, but this is important to me!

Netflix is canceling what I believe to be one of the BEST shows it's ever made after only ONE season, and that season has only existed for ONE MONTH. This is a trend that has been going on for a while, and as small and silly and issue this may seem, it honestly needs to stop.

If you don't care to sign, please at least share it so that someone who feels the same can get the chance to have their voice heard!
