Symptoms of High Blood Pressure
The majority of hypertensive individuals have symptoms. Headaches, blurred vision, chest discomfort, and other symptoms can be brought on by high blood pressure. The easiest approach to determine whether you have high blood pressure is to take your blood pressure. If left untreated, hypertension can lead to other illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, and renal damage. People with very high blood pressure (usually 180/120 or higher) can experience symptoms including:
Tumblr media
severe headaches
chest pain
dizziness
difficulty breathing
nausea
vomiting
blurred vision or other vision changes
anxiety
confusion
buzzing in the ears
nosebleeds
abnormal heart rhythm
Having your blood pressure measured by a medical practitioner is the only method to identify hypertension. Measuring blood pressure is a simple and painless strategy. Even though anyone can use automated blood pressure monitors, a medical specialist assessment is required for defining risk and related problems.

Note
all the captains and lieutenants accidentally get slipped some of ukitake's fucked up gigaweed edibles, what happens
First of all, it's not an accident, they straight-up plan a Friday-Night-Of-A-Three-Day-Weekend event of this. Everyone is curious, and Ukitake thinks it will be a funny way to celebrate his Birthday. He is correct: Yamamoto: Veteran of The Dank Arts, gets real high but not unpleasantly so. Would do it again next time he has a long weekend to enjoy it!
Sasakibe: Claims Ludwig Wittgenstein makes PERFECT sense now, attempts to write this philosophical revelation down but is thwarted by the jammed machinations of a clicky pen.
Soi Fon: Gives herself a hernia laughing at one (1) bad pun.
Yoruichi: Used to Urahara's Megaweed Edibles, so approaches the Gigaweed with undue confidence, declares This Edible Ain't Shit five minutes in and eats a second one. She has to be coaxed down from the top of the fridge where she's hiding from The Hatmen by bribing her with a can of Tuna. (Ukitake keeps the $21-a-can Good Shit in the house)
Omaeda: Creates a God-teir marinara Sauce, AND has the good sense to have Nemu pause her Game of Go and come into the kitchen to write down what he did.
Rose: Writes a magnificent new symphony, it's his best work ever, it's life alteringly beautiful, it's effervescent- When he sobers up, it's half a piccolo solo that barely qualifies as a ringtone.
Izuru: In the kitchen crying while eating an inadvisable amount of Omaeda's Spaghetti Marinara.
Retsu: Category Five Mukbang Incident
Isane: Thinks she's filming the Mukbang Incident, actually has her phone open to the calculator app.
Shinji: refuses to touch the Gigaweed because he "Owes The Hatmen Money" and nobody can tell if he's joking or not (he's not).
Momo: Literally Everything is HILARIOUS
Hiyori: Did not know it was possible to have a bigger, gayer crush on Momo, but she somehow opened up a new level of lesbianics. She calls it Gay 2.
Byakuya: Couchlocked for 24 hours straight.
Renji: Couchlocked right there with him, but able to text Izuru to bring them Spaghetti.
Komamura: Can't. Canine Weed Toxicity. (Relieved, offers to spend the weekend watching Toshiro and Yachiru so he has an excuse to go winter camping over the weekend)
Iba: Got High as FUCK. Found out later that the thing he actually ate was a Little Debbie Cosmic Brownie.
Shunsui: his alcohol tolerance actually makes his weed tolerance terrible so he's on the floor from jokingly licking the wrapper.
Nanao: Challenging people to knife fights (Romantic Intent).
Tousen: Immediately passes out because he managed to get his blood pressure down to normal levels, sleeps for 26 hours straight and wakes up feeling genuinely well-rested and in a good mood for the first time in two centuries.
Kensei: Gets his hand bitten at the Category 5 Mukbang Incident because he thought it would be funny to try to snitch off Retsu's plate.
Shuuhei: Attempting to refinance Shinji's debt with The Hatmen. Possibly succeeding?
Mashiro: Said "This Edible Ain't Shit", took a second, and appears to be unaffected. Playing Go with Nemu and winning.
Matsumoto: Makes the Hernia-inducing Pun. Will not STOP making Puns.
Hitsugaya: Being babysat by Komamura, would be madder about this if he wasn't also having a blast doing wintertime camping.
Kenpachi: Attempts to fight his own shadow, loses.
Yachiru: Also on the Wintertime Mountain Expedition, trying to talk Toshiro into joining her and Komamura on an Elk Hunt.
Ikkaku: Has done weed before, but only smoked it, but has a naturally suspicious nature and waits to see how Yoruichi does on her second edible, and avoids running afoul of The Hatmen.
Yumichika: Stays sober to collect blackmail on everyone. Actually films the Mukbang Incident for Isane
Mayuri: This is NOTHING compared to the Quantum Formaldymeth shit he's been on for the last century.
Urahara: from a prominent weed-growing family and lifetime connoisseur of The Herb. Takes one bite and realizes he's in deep shit, lies down on the floor next to Shuuhei and gives him terrible financial advice.
Nemu: Not chemically effected by The Edible but she loves A Group Social Activity so she's a little crunk on Social Recognition Euphoria and it's interfering with her game.
Ukitake, peeling his lieutenant off the floor: Y'all are wimps.
Rukia: has to be peeled off the floor, is affectionately dumped in the laps of Renji and Byakuya, where she forces them to have an emotionally honest and borderline normal conversation.

HERBS OF MARS: Action, Strength, The Muscular System, Adrenaline
Mars represents primal energy, the fuel in which we bring ideas, dreams, and desires into manifestation. Mars yields and fuels us with power, strength, courage and physical activity. Within astrological charts, Mars is a key element noting aspects to one’s drive, desire, agility and the nature of one’s physical energy.
S A C R E D A N A T O M Y
Anatomically this energy corresponds with the muscular system, the motor nerves, and the production of adrenalin. Astrologers look to Mars’ placement in the natal chart to describe how we pursue many aspects of sexual fulfillment, along with how we source energy within the body and mind. Medical astrologers include the external sexual organs in correspondence to Mars.
Diseases which induce a fever are sometimes associated with Mars. Other inflammation based outbreaks, like herpes, cirrhosis, candida, are often connected to Mars. Due to the sexual nature of Mars, a lot of medical astrologers have also associated sexually transmitted diseases with this planet. Accidents due to “spacey-ness”, or a lack of coordination, are directly associated to Mars and its transits. Other conditions in relation to Mars include fatigue, energy levels (high or low), hyperactivity, living in “fight-or-flight mode.”
E N E R G E T I C S
By nature, the herbs of Mars are energetically yang and considered hot, energetic, and dry. They frequently cause an increase in energy or heat, even if only energetically. These herbs need to be used mindfully, as using them extensively can overthrow the adrenals for example, along with emotions. As you might relate, an excess of Mars energy can lead to behavior patterns generally perceived as aggressive, egotistic, argumentative, confrontational, etc. Or, a deficiency of Mars energy can lead to behavior patterns where we lack libdio, general desire, motivation, or even enough energy to act on something we love. Many of the herbs that fall under Mars’ umbrella are often protecting, strengthening, warming and energizing.
H E R B A L C O R R E S P O N D A N C E S
There’s a broad spectrum of herbs that fall under Mars’ category, encompassing mineralizing tonics, like Nettle, to highly protective plants that help purge, like Rue, to energizing powerhouses that stimulate our system like Guarana. Mars’ herbs are activating one way or another, therefore they must be used wisely since they tend to activate all facets of one’s being; energetically and spiritually. It’s important to note, that if you’re engine is already running hot, and there is a prominence of Mars energy, don’t over consume plants that might make your engine overheat.
“A classic herb, like Rue, is an aromatic and stimulant whose energizing qualities have been known to relieve nervous heart problems such as arrhythmia and palpitation. Rue also relieves colic, eliminates worms and can bring on menstruation.” Paul Beyerl
Nettle, another classic that greatly embodies Mars, in its physicality and medicinal action, possesses thorns that act as hypodermics, injecting subcutaneous doses of stinging fluid. It is this same irritating juice, that when properly prepared becomes a powerful internal astringent, that through it’s heating action it relieves arthritic and rheumatic conditions, helps eliminate infections, regulate blood pressure, reduce susceptibility to colds and much more.
A combination of Solar Herbs with those of Mars add strength and forcefulness to the formulas’ personality, hence our personality. On an emotional level, they can increase a feeling of purposefulness and independence, enhancing our natural ability to not just to survive, but to thrive with our internal reservoirs as resources. An example of this combination would be pairing turmeric (sun) with pine pollen (mars).
Combining with Herbs of the Moon, for example, it can trigger deep emotional healing. This pairing can also be excellent for detoxification and combat gut issues. On an emotional/spiritual level diving deep into the emotional world can be pairing blue lotus (moon) with nettle root (mars).
For generating abundance, or being a better provider of resources, herbs of Mars can be combined with those of Jupiter. This increases a sense of abundance, self-confidence, delight, and spontaneity. A pairing that could reflect this would be: Meadowsweet and Maca.
HERBS of MARS

Natural herbs for erection
Natural herbs for erection
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common condition that affects men of all ages. It is characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse. There are many causes of ED, including stress, anxiety, depression, and medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.
There are a number of natural herbs that have been shown to be effective in treating ED. These herbs work by increasing blood flow to the penis, which is essential for an erection. Some of the most effective natural herbs for ED include:
Ginseng
Damiana
Maca
Saw palmetto
L-arginine
Muira puama
Ginseng is a traditional Chinese herb that has been used for centuries to improve sexual function. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis and by enhancing the production of testosterone.
Damiana is a shrub that is native to Mexico and Central America. It has been used for centuries as an aphrodisiac. Damiana works by increasing blood flow to the penis and by enhancing the production of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that is involved in sexual pleasure.
Maca is a root vegetable that is native to Peru. It has been used for centuries as a tonic for sexual function. Maca works by increasing testosterone levels and by enhancing the production of nitric oxide, a gas that helps to relax blood vessels and improve blood flow.
Saw palmetto is a small palm tree that is native to North America. It has been used for centuries to treat prostate problems. Saw palmetto works by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that can damage the prostate gland. DHT can also contribute to ED by reducing the production of nitric oxide.
L-arginine is an amino acid that is essential for the production of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide helps to relax blood vessels and improve blood flow. L-arginine can be taken as a supplement or it can be found in foods such as nuts, seeds, and legumes.
Muira puama is a tree that is native to the Amazon rainforest. It has been used for centuries as an aphrodisiac. Muira puama works by increasing blood flow to the penis and by enhancing the production of dopamine.
It is important to note that natural herbs are not a cure for ED. They can be helpful in improving erectile function, but they may not be effective for everyone. If you are experiencing ED, it is important to talk to your doctor. Your doctor can help you to determine the cause of your ED and recommend the best course of treatment.
Here are some tips for using natural herbs for ED:
Start with a small dose and gradually increase it as needed.
Take the herbs for at least 4-6 weeks to see results.
Talk to your doctor before taking any natural herbs, especially if you are taking any medications.
Here are some other things you can do to improve erectile function:
Get regular exercise.
Eat a healthy diet.
Manage stress.
Quit smoking.
Reduce alcohol intake.

AMAZINGG ARTICLE OF HOW TO NOT TURN TO FOOD WHEN STRESSED !!! (found on MyNetDiary app)
Healthy ways to deal with stress so it doesn’t sabotage your weight loss
Katherine Isacks, MPS, RDN Registered Dietitian
Healthy ways to deal with stress
What happens if you don’t find healthy ways to deal with stress?
Do you find that you eat unhealthy foods or snack more often when stress levels run high? If so, you are not alone! If left unchecked for too long, chronic stress can result in weight gain. A newsletter from Harvard Medical School says that we often deal with stress in ways that can be harmful to our health. This includes activities such as binge-watching Netflix™, sleeping too much (or not enough), or drinking alcohol as ways to cope with increased pressure and life’s demands. These avoidant behaviors might provide temporary relief or a distraction from the pain or anxiety associated with stress. Consequently, they can also sabotage your efforts to lose weight and keep it off or result in unforeseen addiction and other challenges.
Consider instead, some healthy ways to deal with stress
There are lots of different ways to manage stress in a healthy way. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Reconnect with nature
Forest bathing (or deliberately immersing oneself in nature) has been shown to decrease anxiety and have a relaxing effect on the mind. A traditional nature outing might include a walk in a park or bike ride along a creek. However, making a concerted effort to direct your attention to the sounds, trees, sky, and trail keeps you in the moment, allowing you to connect with your present surroundings. That is what the Japanese call “forest bathing.” In addition to the mental benefits, time in nature helps boost the immune system, lowers blood pressure, and helps regulate sleep. Finding different ways to build activity into your week will help make weight loss that much easier. When’s the last time you made it outside to enjoy nature?
The power of support
Whether you are someone who feels better after venting to a friend or simply enjoys the accountability that comes with having a walking buddy, social support is powerful! Having someone to connect with, whether over text, phone, or in-person, may improve your ability to cope with stressful situations. In addition, research shows that people with a strong social network have a lower mortality risk. In fact, one study found that people with stronger social relationships had a 50% increased likelihood of survival than those with weaker social relationships.
Consider a hobby as a healthy way to deal with stress
Have you ever been curious about how to distract yourself from stress? Research shows that healthier distractions such as spending time engaged in a hobby can help decrease chronic stress. When’s the last time you allowed yourself a few hours to dust off that old hobby? Find a leisure-time activity that provides you with something positive in return for your time and effort. For example, gardening is a perfect way to get outside in the fresh air and burn calories.
For other hobby ideas check out: https://daringtolivefully.com/hobbies-to-improve-your-life.
A healthy way to deal with stress when it comes to snacks
Finally, if you know you tend to snack when stress levels rise, keep your refrigerator stocked with low-calorie vegetables. Almost all non-starchy veggies fall into this category–e.g., baby carrots, celery, peppers, green leafy veggies, broccoli, etc. They are so low in calories that you can munch without incurring real caloric damage. Plus, you'll rack up lots of vitamins and minerals with such colorful, crunchy, and healthy snacks. Just watch what you put on the veggies–many dips and dressings are high in calories, while herbs and spices are essentially calorie-free.
Need some inspiration when it comes to snacking? MyNetDiary has you covered with these healthy immune-boosting snack ideas.
Stress is a natural part of life. Yet, chronic stress has been correlated with weight gain. Experiment with getting outside, connecting with friends, or reconnecting with an old hobby or starting a new one are just a few of the many healthy ways to deal with stress. You are worth it!

Holistic Ayurvedic Approaches for Managing High Blood Pressure
Tumblr media
Ayurvedic treatment for high blood pressure offers a natural and holistic approach to managing this common health concern. In Ayurveda, high blood pressure, or hypertension, is often linked to imbalances in the doshas, particularly pitta and vata. This ancient system of medicine aims to restore balance and promote overall well-being through personalized treatments and lifestyle modifications.
Ayurvedic remedies for high blood pressure include the use of specific herbs such as arjuna, ashwagandha, and punarnava, known for their cardiovascular benefits and stress-reducing properties. Additionally, incorporating dietary adjustments like reducing salt intake, increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables, and avoiding processed foods can significantly impact blood pressure levels.
Complementary practices such as yoga, meditation, and pranayama (breathing exercises) are also essential components of Ayurvedic treatment, helping to reduce stress and improve heart health. Blood pressure treatment in Ayurveda focuses on addressing the root cause of hypertension rather than just the symptoms, promoting long-term health and prevention. For those seeking natural and sustainable methods to manage high blood pressure, Ayurvedic treatment for high blood pressure provides a comprehensive approach that not only alleviates symptoms but also enhances overall quality of life.

What foods are good for your health?
Tumblr media
A balanced diet rich in whole foods is generally considered good for your health. Here are some examples of foods that are often recommended:
Fruits and vegetables: These provide essential vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. Aim for a variety of colors to get a wide range of nutrients.
Whole grains: Foods like brown rice, quinoa, oats, and whole wheat provide fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
Lean proteins: Incorporate sources like chicken, turkey, fish, tofu, beans, lentils, and nuts for essential amino acids.
Healthy fats: Foods like avocados, olive oil, nuts, and seeds contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are beneficial for heart health.
Dairy or dairy alternatives: Choose low-fat or non-fat options for milk, yogurt, and cheese, or opt for fortified plant-based alternatives like almond milk or soy yogurt.
Water: Staying hydrated is crucial for overall health. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Herbs and spices: Many herbs and spices not only add flavor to your meals but also provide health benefits due to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Limit processed foods: Processed foods often contain high amounts of added sugars, unhealthy fats, and sodium. Opt for whole, minimally processed foods whenever possible.
Portion control: Be mindful of portion sizes to avoid overeating, even with healthy foods. Using smaller plates, bowls, and utensils can help with portion control.
Reduce added sugars: Try to limit your intake of sugary beverages, desserts, and snacks. Choose naturally sweet foods like fruits instead.
Include probiotics: Fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, and kimchi contain beneficial probiotics that support gut health.
Stay mindful of salt intake: Too much sodium can contribute to high blood pressure and other health issues. Choose low-sodium options and flavor foods with herbs, spices, and citrus instead of salt.
Prioritize nutrient-dense foods: Focus on foods that provide a high amount of nutrients relative to their calorie content, such as leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, and berries.
Enjoy meals mindfully: Take time to savor and enjoy your meals, paying attention to hunger and fullness cues. Eating slowly and without distractions can help prevent overeating.
Customize your diet: Consider any specific dietary preferences, intolerances, or allergies you may have when planning your meals. There are many ways to adapt healthy eating patterns to suit individual needs.
Be consistent: Consistency is key to reaping the benefits of a healthy diet. Aim to make nutritious choices consistently over time rather than focusing on perfection.
Remember, balance and moderation are key. It’s also important to consider individual dietary needs and any specific health conditions when choosing foods for optimal health. Consulting with a healthcare provider or a registered dietitian can provide personalized recommendations.

How do people with chronic illness and no background in advocacy or research survive? I know the answer is often, "they don't." But I'm marveling at the amount of executive function I'm having to aim at simply maintaining access to the medications and supplements I need to find existence tolerable, the length of time the system is willing to shrug about severe new pain and the diagnostic tests for it, and the amount of research I need to have in hand in order to have a hope of getting what I need covered by insurance and if I'm daunted, with my background and skill in these specific areas, what hope does someone have if they don't have those skills?
That said, here's a list of things I've found that have helped that were hard to get or challenging to learn about:
1. Topical metformin in lipoderm cream is a compounded version of metformin that can assist in blood sugar control which has few-to-no intestinal side effects.
2. For insulin resistance, a combination of liraglutide and topical metformin has worked better for me than insulin.
3. If you have painful fat on your body (not just fat, but fat that it's very pressure sensitive with trigger points that rival fibro and are frequently misdiagnosed as such) you NEED to research lipedema. My pt does lymphatic drainage that is life changing and drastically reduces pain in reasonably lasting ways.
4. If you go low carb for glucose control, do not rely on almonds as a major replacement for wheat, especially if you also have POTS and need a lot of sodium as the combination is a recipe for kidney stones which suck a lot. Almonds are very high in oxalates.
5. Genetic testing can point out some weird ways in which your body differs from the norm and this may explain weird medication results. For example, long after I realized that swimming pools made me sick and warfarin was a dangerous drug for me, genetic tests discovered that I do not process certain chlorine byproducts normally and that I have multiple genes that cause me to process warfarin very slowly. I'm also bad at turning t4 into t3 which is probably why synthroid was so bad. And we discovered an extra, rare recessive blood clotting disorder. This was from running my raw 23&me thru Promethease.
6. If you don't tolerate a medication, check the inactive ingredients. Things like povidone and sodium lauryl sulfate are used to help solubility but can cause allergic reactions/intolerances. I found this out after years on Xarelto, which was exacerbating my joint pain, probably from the sls. Switching to injectables fixed the problem and I've been more stable on my ra meds since.
7. Not all supplements work as advertised and there are many garbage brands out there but there are also better companies which have quality products and some supplements can be very helpful.
Vitex: chaste tree berry can drastically improve hormonal balance and normalize cycles. This means more regular periods and often less pmd.
Magnesium (doesn't have to be fancy, even cheap mag works) can drastically improve chronic asthma. You don't have to use it instead of drugs, but I found I just didn't need the drugs once I started supplementing a normal amount daily.
Turmeric: I went off this due to the whole herb having high oxalates but the extract form is lower oxalate and the anti inflammatory properties are a mercy for me. I can't take nsaids, but I tolerate turmeric well and it reduces my pain level quite dramatically, improving sleep quality.
Milk thistle products are helpful for liver function and since my liver is always kinda iffy the milk thistle is super important to me continuing to tolerate my medication load. When I was on warfarin the stabilizing effect of milk thistle was quite dramatic and measurable until other factors kicked in.
A negative: if you are on any medications that process through the liver, CBD can be dangerous to your health. This varies by drug and pathway. Natural is not always safer. Do your homework beforehand.
I take other things but those are some of the most dramatic helps. I can do a list of supplement manufacturers I trust if people are interested.
What I currently do for pain is a combination of lidocaine patches, very low dose oxycodone, turmeric, physical therapy, ergonomics, and mobility/accessibility aides. I'd be happy to do a different post just about that.

Holistic Oral Hygiene Advice for a Blissfully Fresh & Healthy Mouth 🌟
Tumblr media
(this image comes from Nadine Artemis's book Renegade Beauty - I highly recommend anyone read it! It's a bliss babe must read💖)
This is advice that I've personally been following for years. I finally stopped seeing what I believed were natural weaknesses in my teeth, gums, and even the skin around my mouth. It also drastically simplified tooth care for me.
1. Ditch commercial toothpastes and mouthwashes. Take care that the composition of your dental products aren't influencing your saliva to become acidic. In such environments, the teeth suffer because enamel, cavities, and sensitivity to extreme temperatures develop with ease. I would even get dry, irritated skin on my mouth corners from them. They are normally formulated this way to leave a "squeaky clean" sensation, but it does more harm than good.
2. More pressure is not necessarily better. The tooth enamel can wear down from too much abrasion over time. Electric tooth brushes with softer bristles and applying minimal pressure is preferable. I let my water flosser do more of the pressure related activity.
3. Protect the oral microbiome. When the microbial balance is disrupted, things like cavities, infections, boils, and gingivitis can occur. Botanical sanitizers are better to maintain a harmonious microbial balance. Oil pulling, salt water gargles with small amounts of high quality food-safe essential oils (don't use the highly potent ones, do your research. Peppermint, spearmint, frankincense, tea tree are all fine), herbal mouthwashes, baking soda, and clay are all great options. Oral probiotics are also good to recalibrate balance if you've deeply lost harmony, especially from antibiotic treatments.
4. Pay attention to the gums as well! The gums should also be brushed/massaged. It helps keep the muscles strong (They need to hold your teeth in place. Loose teeth and receding gums are not a good sign) and helps lymph and blood circulation. Rubbing in an (ozonated) gum gel/serum is great to revitalize the cells of these areas.
5. Make your own mouthwash. Most mouthwashes have a lot of sugar in them which makes absolutely no sense if you're trying to keep your teeth healthy. Craft it from high quality ingredients that will alkalize your saliva, keep breath fresh, and support the balance of life in the world that is your mouth.
6. Do not forget about your herbs. Herbal teas are the best mouthwashes between meals. Make sure you sip some after sweets, sugary drinks, and underripe fruit. Licorice, mint, dandelion root, pine, rosemary, and parsley are some that I recommend. (Eating some leafy greens are the next best thing if no tea or mouthwash is available). Certain herbs can also be helpful for numbing/easing pains (ginger, spilanthes, cloves, valerian), tightening gums (red raspberry leaf, nettles, black or green tea, blackberry root, uva ursi), and healing mouth wounds/boils/blisters (plantain, marshmallow root, yarrow, Siberian elm).
7. Understand that your teeth are part of your living body. They naturally engage in growth and repair processes like the rest of your bones. Cavities do reverse. I've observed it in myself. And teeth are able to regenerate too (everything in the body is). It takes time, though, and a focused holistic healing protocol. Make sure you are actively encouraging a reality where those cells flourish as well!
8. Bring awareness to your pains and aches. The teeth are connected with the body. The nerves that run from them link to other areas and organs of the body. Often, in times of pain, we try to numb out the pain or distract ourselves from it. But pains are messages for us to interpret. Sitting in meditation with your pain can not only widen your awareness beyond the pain, but bring insight about what the root issue is. It can reveal things as simple as holding your jaw too tensely (letting yourself be consumed by stress) to deeper issues like stagnant lymphatic flow.
9. Flossing is certainly important for keeping all dimensions of your teeth clean. But it doesn't need to be done with strings alone. (I'm sure most people don't even floss effectively). Water irrigation tools (aka water piks), brushing at different angles, chewing barks/twigs/roots (like licorice, neem, Gouania lupuloides, miswak, calamus), and eating fresh, fibrous foods are also extraordinary in their effects.
10. What you eat matters. As always. Consciously managing what you consume sends the body a message of love. You'll notice what is not supportive for your teeth or what requires more diligent cleaning naturally when you eat with awareness. But never eat something with guilt either, just eat whatever you do consciously. It always does your body good and brings a higher degree of nourishment.
