So I was taking a little break from Borderlands and sort of delved back into yokai watch after deciding to replay psychic specters and going back into 3 (mainly post game stuff)

While looking though yokai watch fanfics, seeing if any new Nate/Haley fics were added and there's one which has trans girl Nate and I'm starting to like this headcanon.

This was actually inspired by that fic, with Nate coming out to Haley first and she in turn became her biggest supporter

Can I pretty pwease ask for your N headcanons?? Bout to get back into twc and I need to redevelop my headcanons of him in mu head. Anything you wanna give would work I just need to be fed.

Honestly I can only think of one new one I have rattling in my head…

I can’t stop thinking about the idea of N being like hyper focused on the detective’s order when they go out for coffee or food. Just like a constant side eye if they can see the order being made. N is so domestic and so inclined to take care of the detective that I can’t help but think of them going to get coffee and N seeing the barista add like a half teaspoon of extra sugar or syrup to the detective’s coffee than N would personally use and just being stricken by that. I hate to use the “P” word with N, but I do think that N does want their time with the detective to be perfect and just like an insane inner monologue is going on about if that will ruin their date or whatever is so funny to me.

Also see them having some inner dialogue that’s a little petty, especially if the worker was flirty with the detective, being like “well, that’s certainly not how *I* would prepare that”

Bonus if the detective really enjoyed it, they’ll keep notes on that so how they make it for the detective will still always be best :)

Niknate/Daley parallels

-Their “connections” are mostly physical and based off nostalgia.

-Nate and Dylan are himbos who do genuinely love Nikki and Haley, but also are incompatible with them.

-Nate and Dylan also aren’t the best bfs to Nikki and Haley (Nate, I’ve talked about a lot/Dylan was literally 18-19 and dated Haley when she 15 aka still a minor while he was an adult)

-Nikki and Haley are both very ambitious and hardworking women (despite the show trying to make Haley out to be dumb, she’s clearly very smart and runs shit).
