So I was taking a little break from Borderlands and sort of delved back into yokai watch after deciding to replay psychic specters and going back into 3 (mainly post game stuff)

While looking though yokai watch fanfics, seeing if any new Nate/Haley fics were added and there's one which has trans girl Nate and I'm starting to like this headcanon.

This was actually inspired by that fic, with Nate coming out to Haley first and she in turn became her biggest supporter

i like how haley has like three sisters but they rarely show up and her parents go absentee on her after she gets married

#they think that they stopped being parents just because she's married now??#and also like real life teen marriages don't typically end the way naley's do with genuine happiness #(well actually my best friend's parents were also naley coded pregnant at 17 and they're still happily married so i guess there's that)#her parents deadass just gave her away to get married in like 5 seconds when she was 16 #literally anything could have happened to haley and she could have ended up having a terrible life #i mean she DIDN'T but regardless they really shouldn't have abandoned her #and also any reasonable parents would have like?? idk maybe taken a bit more time before letting their 16 year old get married #naley is the ONLY teen couple allowed to get married young but still #her sisters don't have a parental obligation to her since all they are is related to her and she's not their legal responsibility #but her parents?? abandoning her?????? was really weird #also nate listed like at least 3 to 4 non-haley girls when taylor came over in s2 and he was trying to guess which sister she was #but according to a gifset i saw only haley and 2 other sisters comforting their dead mom so???? make it make sense?#oth #haley james scott #taylor james #quinn james

Niknate/Daley parallels

-Their “connections” are mostly physical and based off nostalgia.

-Nate and Dylan are himbos who do genuinely love Nikki and Haley, but also are incompatible with them.

-Nate and Dylan also aren’t the best bfs to Nikki and Haley (Nate, I’ve talked about a lot/Dylan was literally 18-19 and dated Haley when she 15 aka still a minor while he was an adult)

-Nikki and Haley are both very ambitious and hardworking women (despite the show trying to make Haley out to be dumb, she’s clearly very smart and runs shit).

-After their breakups, they try to rekindle things, but it’s so obviously not meant to be (Nikki sleeping with Nate after their breakup even tho they broke up for a reason/Haley hooking up with Dylan after Andy proposes to Beth).

-Nikki and Haley are far more compatible with Gwen and Andy and grow more in those relationships, compared to the ones they have with Nate and Dylan.

Hm. Don't like how both Fallout 4 fans and Stardew Valley fans are so comfortable erasing mspec rep because they think the characters being attracted to you no matter your gender is "optional" for some reason

#if you dont hc as anything other than mspec (which all romancable npcs in both games are) i do not like you #i keep seeing “haley is a lesbian/leah is a lesbian/alex is gay” and like. why cant mspec ppl exist lmao #and the fo4 fans too. i assure you if the characters were strictly gay/lesbian they would say so #like yeah bethesda doesnt have as many canonly queer characters as obsidian did but they still exist #i know at least mel is gay since he only hits on you if youre playing as nate instead of nora #so why is someone showing attraction to all genders suddenly “up for interpretation” exactly #vinny rambles
