concept i've been thinking about lately: feanor writes all his notes in conlangs. so no one else can understand them, of course. except sometimes, he can't understand them either. this is the real reason why the silmarils were a one time thing.
#imagine: ñolo tries to sneak into feanaro's office and get his notes to figure out what hes working on and he just#cant understand any of it#iconic#tell me feanor wouldnt do his#and he would keep a journal where he talked shit about his brothers and indis also in conlangs#and eventually ñolo finds the key/notes for one of them and learns it#and just casually greets 'naro in it one day#and feanor's just like 👁️👄👁️#i love them your honor#feanor#feanaro#sons of finwe#nolofinwe#arafinwe#fingolfin#finarfin#indis#miriel#finwe#silm#silmarillion#tolkien#valinor#silmarils

Dunking on fictional losermen is fun and all but if you make it ooc then what is even the point. Mocking qualities you just made up that have no real basis in canon is dumb. At this point just make an oc with these qualities and make fun of them instead
#this post is about#shin tsukimi#“shin doesn't shower” “shin is bad at everything” can anyone hear me. it's so dark in here#like. shin washes his hands so much that he doesn't leave any traces of his fingers on a keyboard#and the things he's good at are literally the reason that sara doesn't kill him in logic route#he is only alive because he can help everyone escape!!!!! because there are things he's good at!!!!!!#also in some contexts I don't like people calling him stupid. like if you mean his social skills then yeah sure#but if you're talking about stuff related to math or puzzle solving it's like. that guy hacked asu-naro's security system#like I know he's a pathetic loser but he's got Some redeeming qualities

Hinako; Humanity in Affection and Connection (Hinako Character Analysis)
Hinako was probably the character analysis I wanted to write the most after Anzu, She is such an amazing character to me, but i just don't see any discussion on her at all, most of the time all I see is people just claiming she is only a plot device and not much of a character, or otherwise underutilised, which to me couldn’t be further from the truth. So I want to write an analysis on who Hinako is, and how she plays a part in YTTD.
To me all the dummies represent different aspects of humanity, Anzu represents it through her fear of death, Hayasaka represents it through his contradictory emotions, Kurumada represents it through his connection to others, Ranmaru represents it through his doubts, Mai represents it through her own autonomy, and I would argue that Hinako represents the physical aspect of humanity.
But over the course of the previous 5 analyses on the 5 other dummies one point that comes up again and again is that humanity isn't about the physical truth and it never was, and Hinako is no exception. Being an agent of Asu-naro her mindset is informed by theirs, you can see this is the way she talks about being used and the emphasis she places on "value" in general. Almost more like a tool than a person
And it's clear through her actions and reactions too, for example when Q-taro was stabbed and all the dummies went out of their way to help even though there was no benefit in this for them and Hinako just didn't get why, or a little beforehand when Ranmaru takes the tag from Sara (during the logic route).
Hinako in those moments doesn't get why they would do these things for no real reason, when these actions don’t bring any value to them.
Even from first meeting Hinako talks about information she can't share on account of using it as a safety net for herself:
Right from our first meeting we can see glimpses into her ideology and it's easy to see where this mindset could have come from.
And later when finding about the secret information everyone has she claims that it gave them all new unique value, which no matter the choice, Sara denies as they have value anyways.
It's clear Hinako's mindset comes from Asu-naro, Kai, who's the character most similar to Hinako in this regard also shows this mentality off in how he pleads for his life with his “vital information for escape” during the first Main Game,
However, unlike Hinako, he was actually lucky enough to be able to escape the Asu-naro bubble. And we see the effects of that in his note to Sara on his laptop.
The only chance Hinako gets is during the sub-game on the 4th and 5th floors, the Murderer Game, where she is placed along with the Dummies after she taking the place of the real Hinako. And while at first she seems to play into Asu-naro’s mindset, over the course of the chapter these beliefs are broken down for her, starting with Q-taro’s words after he got stabbed.
When Q-taro asks the dummies to work with them, Hinako is the most reluctant at first, asking him if he heard the rules, reiterating that one or the other has to die before she is cut off by Q-taro asking her an important question.
Hinako is shaken by this response, and as all the dummies start to help Q-taro 1 by 1 she is left behind with her protests. This acts as the first step to Hinako’s eventual willingness to connect however as of yet she isn’t convinced and that's shown during Keiji’s fight with Midori and its aftermath.
During the fight she is the most actively detrimental to the humans, stopping Keiji from shooting the gun and grabbing Gin’s shovel to stop him from attacking midori, stating that:
And after Keiji is pushed into the coffin Hinako stubbornly states “Hmph… It's not our fault…” and after Ranmaru rips up the consent form that would have saved him Hinako reminds everyone that the dummies would have died if Keiji won and he still decided to fight despite that fact.
However once Ranmaru actually makes his intentions to save Keiji themselves clear Hinako immediately refutes it, asking:
And sticks to her sentiment by stating:
This mindset of hers is reinforced when the cast tries to move to the security office where Hinako tells them:
She physically can’t help Keiji even if she wanted to due to the red string of fate and she likens this to being a slave robbed of her freedom, something all too similar to what Asunaro’s mindset has been shown to us to be before.
However this mindset is proven wrong to Hinako once the collar pairings are turned off and she is freed from them. Still in disbelief, Mai then asks her to make up with everyone which she tries to fight back against by asking:
She is shut down once Anzu Hayasaka or Mai ask if she could really kill them. Anzu and Hayasaka specifically callsout their kindness while Mai fights back against it by claiming she’ll stop them herself.
Hinako still struggling to connect claims that:
Before finally breaking down and helping the cast by telling them about Midori’s ID card, giving up that “one or the other has to die” mentality from before and now starting to actually help find a new option. She agrees when Ranmaru asks her to come along and it is from this point forth Hinako starts to truly connect with the rest of the group.
And this is in a way shown off during the Maple fight where she can try to strike up a conversation with her:
Once Maple starts chasing after the group Kurumada gets injured, Hinako tells everyone to run to the 5th floor, and when Qtaro struggles to keep up she actually shows concern saying:
Rather than the refusal to care she showed before as the dummies all went to help Qtaro and when he just got stabbed on the monitor she shows him concern.
Then, when Gin tries to run back she reminds him that he will die, him and Qtaro both, and if Sara hesitates to close the elevator doors she will force them closed herself.
While Hinako isn’t outright showing affection in the same way others would, (likely as a result of how Asu-naro raises their agents without it according to Kai’s letter,) she still is concerned for others and that's an important difference to the Hinako from earlier who rarely did so.
This also shows again with her interactions with Kurumada. In the Logic Route, Hinako stays outside of the locker room during the puzzle alongside Kurumada, similar to how she stayed outside the lava puzzle in the boxing room earlier in the chapter.
This could imply that she purposely protected Kurumada from entering, as her staying out isn’t mentioned in the emotion route, where Kurumada is staying behind with Kanna.
And when Kurumada attempts to deny the charger, if Anzu and Hayasaka died earlier in the chapter the action of telling Kurumada to use it on himself goes to Hinako:
Here Hinako is telling Kurumada to live, notably however, the way she goes about it is different to Anzu or Hayasaka who argue that they’re “allies”, instead Hinako argues from a more logical angle, telling him to just give it up and finally asking him a simple “...Why not live?”. It's clear that she does care for Kurumada and wants him to live, even if it's expressed differently to the others.
Hinako makes fun of him as he berates the dummies for not thinking things through by asking “Should the guy who got himself injured like this be saying that?”, a fun parallel to how Hinako protested against the dummies helping Q-taro by calling them idiots where Kurumada made fun of her instead.
Originally Hinako refuted when the dummies were helping Q-taro and now Kurumada attempts to refuse help from the dummies himself.
Kurumada then goes on to tell Sara his secret info, in his eyes removing the last of his value, a mindset Hinako herself operated under earlier when first finding out about the secret info, but Sara proves her words from back then with how she makes a promise with Kurumada to protect everyone, dummies included.
The next scene I want to talk about is a very important one, not only is it a major example of Hinako truly opening up and connecting with her allies, but it's also the first example of Midori taking that away from her, in a small way at least.
When Ranmaru stands over Kurumada thinking about possibly tagging him Hinako walks in stating
She reveals a collar reset device, specifically with the intention of protecting her allies.
It's also interesting that the device she reveals is specifically one that needs cooperation, just another note to add to Hinako’s newfound willingness to connect.
However after Hinako turns on the device and is about to explain how it works Midori walks in to take that from her and explain it instead, even using her (and Kanna/Sou) as an example for the shocking system, almost like a tool…
It's just a small example but nonetheless it is an example of Midori dehumanising Hinako in a way, by taking away her spotlight from helping the others for himself and using her. And this will eventually lead to a much bigger example later…
On a totally and completely unrelated note, once the cast gets back down to the 4th floor and are searching for answers as to where Keiji could be they find Mai alone instead, after giving her the ID card they all decide to follow her into a new room. Here Hinako takes the chance to use the hot drinks machine to carry a bunch of hot cocoa, and soon after asks if she can go to search the cemetery, when told it would be dangerous to go alone she decides to take Ranmaru along with her, further showing her affection for Ranmaru in some form.
Later we find out her goal here was to actually spill the hot cocoa on her coffin to protect herself during the banquet,
While it's unclear how much she knew about the banquet, she still seems to have done it for that purpose, not knowing she would later swap with Midori.
But its still important to add how she also spilt cocoa on Ranmaru’s coffin. At first it’s thought to be done as a distraction but if Hinako knew that unglowing her coffin with cocoa would save her then she would have had to know what spilling cocoa onto Ranmaru’s coffin would do too.
Ranmaru then leaves to “check up on Kurumada”, leaving Hinako alone, and an announcement from “Keiji” is heard, leading Sara to go into the classroom alone and get stunned.
Once Sara regains consciousness in the Kanna lives route Hinako will return without Ranmaru, and once the topic changes to Kurumada’s whereabouts Hinako makes a joke about Kurumada possibly being dead, however her expression quickly changes to a worried one once she realises no one actually checked, showing her concern for him yet again.
This joke is also similar to the types of dark jokes Kai, the other Asu-naro member of the cast, would make, furthering that connection.
The Logic route however has a much less… lighthearted scene… Instead Ranmaru ends up killing the remaining Yabusame and Hinako reacts to this with a hatred for Ranmaru, one only beaten by Kurumada’s. She calls him out for wanting to save himself and Ranmaru berates her, asking when she decided to switch sides, to which she can’t respond.
This bitterness continues to the pre-banquet where Hinako asks Sara if it's alright to leave Ranmaru free, something awfully similar to how she talked earlier in the chapter about being not being free, she goes on to state her want for revenge against him before playing it off as a joke. Finally she remarks that they could just leave Ranmaru powerless once the banquet is over, asking Sara if she really is going to forgive him for killing Yabusame and ending with the notion that there isn’t any point taking it out on her with a dour expression.
If Ranmaru died she is less vengeful on account of there being no one to take revenge against, instead she remarks that if it weren’t for Ranmaru’s “stupid betrayal” she could have been a bit happier with everyone alive, then she tells Sara is a shame about Yabusame, before telling her to keep her head up with the banquet ahead.
It's important that she yet again shows her newfound concerns for others, even admitting that she would be happier if more people were alive, but it's also important that it was Ranmaru who betrayed everyone as Hinako was shown to be close to Ranmaru when she saved him and she explored with him, so to have him do this and sort of act like a tool for Sara goes against everything she’s learnt.
In the Emotion Route though Hinako is much happier, even admitting as much when Sara asks, remarking how amazing it is they were all able to make it in one piece if all the dolls survived then playing it off as “better than being torn to pieces”, she then makes Sara swear to bring the dummies back after the banquet.
If all the dummies survived Kurumada will request for a song, Hinako listening in will confess that it's pretty nice even at a time like this. The song itself is named “Tunagu” literally meaning “to connect”, and its here is the truest form of connection between everyone in the cast and with Hinako. In this moment, Hinako can truly say she is human… but it doesn’t last long.
When entering the coffins for the banquet she is always first or second to enter, likely as she believes she will be safe due to her coffin no longer glowing after being hot cocoa’ed, but as the coffins are buried under the ground Midori calls for Hinako, and while it’s unknown the exact circumstances they end up swapping coffins, and this choice ends up dooming Hinako, as she is later betrayed by Midori and killed, seemingly unexpectedly.
This action ends up dehumanising Hinako, relegating her to just a tool for Midori, despite all the growth she displayed, it's all taken away from her at this moment. She dies, not even having her own choice in the matter, unlike the others (excluding Anzu) and in turn she dies, still under Asunaro's grasp. Midori being in a non glowing coffin also puts Ranmaru back in danger, when he should have been safe, taking even that part away from Hinako.
Hinako’s relationship with Midori also works as a dark parallel to Sou and Kanna’s, Kanna’s claims of not being useful matching Hinako using her usefulness as a safety net, the care Sou inevitably has for Kanna versus the lack of care Midori has as he kills off his allies. It's what Sou and Kanna would’ve been without the affection they had for each other.
The effects of that are seen throughout the rest of the Banquet, Hinako ends up being presented as possibly an enemy when Q-taro claims everyone who's died so far has been an ally, however, Hinako’s last words end up exposing Midori and give the participants another fighting chance.
Despite Hinako physically being a human she isn’t treated as such because that's not what humanity is about, and that's the tragedy of Hinako, but even so, for those few moments where she truly connected with the dummies and the survivors she was really “alive”, and she was able to, in some small ways, truly be free from Asunaro.
And in a way it was all because of the connection the real Hinako Mishuku and Alice shared, which gave our Hinako the chance to connect with others too, and with that, just like Kai did before her, she finally learnt one aspect of what it meant to be a human, to connect with others and to show affection and have that same affection given back to you.
================================================
Hinako undergoes a drastic change from the Hinako we saw at the start of the chapter, but recounting what she has done over the course of the chapter you can see the natural progression she takes to get here. It can be easy to disregard this aspect of her when we find out about her connection to Asunaro after she died, but I think that's a disservice to Hinako, and I think she is so much more than the banquet twists.
There is plenty to Hinako, from her growth as a person and her learning to connect, to showing the effects Midori and Asunaro have over her, to simply showing off another aspect to what makes a human, and it's why I think Hinako is genuinely such a great character that i can’t wait to see more of. Not to “fix” her or give her something but to expand on what's already there, because she is a character like any other.
I don’t think Hinako’s character is over yet of course, i’m certain there will be more from her in 3-2 and in her Minisode but I do think that Hinako is already a full character, albeit a tragic one, I don’t think she was misused or killed off to early. Hinako’s character exists for reasons and those reasons were genuinely fulfilled, she shows the effect Asunaro and their mindset have on their agents, and just how trapped they are, in a way no other character really could, and she adds yet another layer to the themes of 3-1 and humanity as a whole.
I think calling Hinako a waste of a character or to simply write her off as a plot device is unfair to who Hinako is and her purpose in the story, I think that there is a lot to here already in game that people don’t see because they insist Hinako exists solely for the twists during the Banquet and thats sad :( So hopefully at least this post will get you to appreciate Hinako a bit more and see her as more than just a tool, in universe and out of it too.
Short part 2 type thing -> Here!!!!
but this has gone on long enough, I hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading!!

I'm sorry this is the most random off the wall question to ask you but, you were talking about snae_b the other day and I gotta know if you have any idea if they have a Tumblr?
I want to yell at them for their Dominion arc (I'm going through their backlog and they got it into 3 (4???) stories now and keep jump scaring me with it lmao)
I'm also almost caught up with all their multi chap fics, and I'm all caught up on yours....so next question I suppose is who's next? Vol or Summerofspock?
i believe they’re @snae-b!
if u like human AUs, my rec is for feraltuxedo 😇 their fics vary so much in length and theme, ive really only scraped the surface but love everything ive read of theirs
idk how anyone could read vol or summer (or naro, or zehwolf) in one go, instead of peppering them in between everything else u read and coming back to them like well cracked spines. they’re so good and tasty i can’t put any of them down for more than a day

Could I request Midori x gn reader, like where he has a soft spot for the reader? Well as ‘soft’ as Midori could really get,, thank you!!!
SOU 'MIDORI' HIYORI HAVING SOFT SPOT FOR HIS S/O
👗So at the very start let's settle a small little thing. Midori HAS a heart, just a cold one, but he's able to be soft once some bond is between the two of you.
👗I feel like he was spoiled rotten by "mamadori" (nickname i use for his mother LOL) when he was little and overall very loved by her. Same goes towards her, he ADORES his mom. In conclusion, if Sou were supposed to be soft to you, you'd probably remind him of his mother a bit!
👗Now let's get straight to the point. Midori's behavior won't change completely, he'll still tease you, lovingly bully you or play some silly pranks on you, BUT he'll have more mercy for you than for the others he "bully".
👗If you two move in together, expect him to be ALL over you. Sou might follow you around yours place like a lost puppy hdshs. His hands will probably hold your waist, hip etc. so you "won't get lost" in your own home ofc.🙄🙄
👗In public, Hiyori might hold your hand as you walk around together! On fancy dinner dates, once he slides his hand under the table, he might even trail his fingers over your leg gently.🤭 (Just to see ya flustered tho..)
👗If you're feeling down don't expect him to do much shit..he's kinda bad at cheering people up lmao. BUUT if he's feeling genuine enough, he'll sit down next to you, rub your back ond go like "Oh you poor thing..Worry less now! Life's gonna just get worse tomorrow ahaha!" So uh yeah lol.
👗If someone's talking shit about you, Sou's already getting ready to give 'em a consent form. He down bad for you frr.( off topic but I'd piss my pants tbh if a lettuce head bitch walked up to me and was like "do you know the asu naro vow?!??!?!" but hey at least hes cunty and hot)
👗If ya'll sleepin' together, he'll cuddle you like a teddy bear. Wherever and how you turn in your sleep, Sou will find a way to cuddle you just how he likes it. ^^
👗He may not seem like the type to enjoy being given orders to, but when it's you, HOHO HE LOVE IT!! Lettuce haired bitch will give you princess/prince treatment if you order him to.(Might even use ma'am/sir if you want ;3)
👗BUYS.YOU.GIFTS. From spoiled to spoiling. Name a thing, he'll get it. Midori's rich anyway so why not. Even if you not ask him to, he'll buy you clothes he thinks you would look good in. Makes you do a fashion show for him lmao.
👗Did I mention he loves to touch you???(ANY WAY POSSIBLE LOLL) Like hear me out, this man will pat your head everyday, not to mention that he kisses your cheek everytime before he leaves to work. While sitting next to each other he rubs your knuckles with his finger tips etc. So yeah, physical man lol(IN BED TOO JK JK)
HIIIIII, IM SORRY FOR NOT BEING ACTIVE BUT I WAS LAZY ASF LAST WEEKS LOLLL. BUUT IM GETTING SOME FREE TIME SOON SO I WILL POST MORE OFTENN. TYY FOR REQUEST YTTD CUZ I LOVE THESE REQUESTS<3 LOVE YOU!!🫶💙

u said ur not a proshipper and stuff but isnt soushin a proship tho.... abuser x victim>???? and shin saw midori like the older brother he didnt have../??? /gen
Originally I wasn't going to respond to this, I thought it was funny so I giggled at it with my friends and I thought that would be it. But I realized this is a wonderful opportunity to write a really long post disproving these theories that this fandom insists are canon. I’ll start by debunking some common arguments. I put a lot of effort into this and am actually using proper grammar IM SERIOUS GUYS!!! This is really long by the way
“Shin saw Midori like an older brother”
I’ll get this argument out of the way first because it’s weak, it’s a common trope in media where relationships are described as familial to show the closeness of the relationship. Even so, Shin probably said that because he looks up to Midori and respects him. If you just want to see them as having a brotherly relationship, that’s fine, but this argument doesn’t stand for calling Soushin proship.
“Midori groomed Shin”
I honestly have no idea where this theory even came from. Some people say that Midori preyed on Shin and that he was much older, while it’s more likely they are both in the same age range. Shin is canonically 21-22 years old while Midori’s age isn’t stated, but since they were in highschool together it can be assumed he wasn’t all that much older than him. Not saying you can’t headcanon that they aren’t, but you shouldn’t push your headcanons as canon to insist Soushin is proship. Midori changed to Shin’s school so that he could get his signature but he also became his friend in order to make the Shin AI. He could have easily just been a highschooler himself. Midori is an Asu-Naro agent and from what we know about them they have used underaged people for labor (eg. Kai, Sei, Hinako). If the common theory that the silhouette in Kai’s mini episode being Midori’s mom is true, it’s probable that he grew up similarly to Kai and Sei, being made to do Asu-Naro’s bidding as children. It’s not like you need the credentials of an adult to give out contracts. You could also make the argument that Midori must be older because he worked as a nurse and school counselor while trying to get participant signatures, but one could argue Asu-Naro has the connections to get him in such a position without schooling or even have higher levels of schooling to get the education in a shorter timespan. But I’m getting off topic. Many people who say Midori groomed Shin say that he groomed him into believing he had to leave himself behind and that is why he took on Midori’s persona in the death game when it’s clearly not the case in canon. It was Midori who wanted Shin to be the best version of himself.
“And you… should become the person you want to be, so you can meet them proudly.”
This dialogue is part of Shin’s lost memory, where they are talking about Shin’s wish to meet his lost sibling. It’s one of the only shown scenes of Shin and Midori pre-canon, and he’s clearly being supportive and wanting Shin to be happy with himself.
Here ‘???’ is the shadow version of himself, he is having an inner conflict of interest. Commonly referred to as Shadsou, is the actual reason Shin took on Midori’s persona. What Shadsou is exactly is ambiguous but generally it’s the personification of Shin’s devil's advocate. People often assume that Shadsou is another consequence of Midori’s impact on Shin, as if he isn’t his own character who can make his own decisions. This fandom often waters down his character and infantilizes him like this.
“Midori is Shin’s abuser”
Again, another headcanon people insist is canon. The reality is that Midori and Shin’s relationship is ambiguous and it hasn’t been explored much in canon. Soushin can be explored in many different ways because of how vague their relationship is. Saying that Midori abused Shin is an unsubstantiated claim so it’s just a headcanon, not saying you can’t have that but again, you can’t be claiming it’s fact.
This is the one cg we have of Midori and Shin pregame btw:
This is the cg where Midori is encouraging Shin to be someone he’s proud of. Not very abusive guys.
“But it’s implied to be abusive”
This is usually the evidence they use for the implication:
“He’s… a scary friend of mine…”
Midori’s mannerisms are scary. It isn’t just Shin who thinks that he is, he’s one of the main antagonists of the game. Shin finding Midori to be scary doesn’t mean he abused him.
“Though I learned a lot of things at his house…”
It’s insane to me that people use this as evidence but, this is clearly about Midori teaching him how to code. People claim that it has deeper meaning but really it comes down to how you want to interpret it.
There are multiple points where Midori is shown to feel affection in strange ways. It’s possible he didn’t understand ordinary forms of affection, similarly to Kai who was deprived of affection growing up as an agent. Midori’s odd mannerisms towards Shin could just be how he shows his love. awww. isnt that so sad
Many people call Midori Shin’s abuser and claim Soushin is proship without proper canonical proof. A lot of people who kin Shin project onto their relationship and insist that it’s abusive because their bias rooted from their own trauma and experiences clouds their perception of Shin. This happens along with people infantilizing Shin and excusing all of his actions by blaming the supposed ‘grooming’ or ‘abuse’ he experienced from Midori. This is just a common problem with mischaracterization of Shin and Midori by the fandom. It’s gotten to the point where people like this dear anon believe these things to be true!
Then there's the people who ARE proshippers and insist that Soushin is abusive or pedophilic because they want it to be and are looking at them with that lens of thinking. These people greatly help spread the idea that Soushin is a proship, making it much harder to discern canon from fanon when much of the Soushin content is by these people, specifically outspoken adult western fans that praise proship and advocate out for Soushin being problematic, that's what the general fandom now sees it as even though it’s just not canonically happening.
At the time of posting this, Shin’s minisode has yet to come out. I’m sure that once it does it will give a much clearer view of their relationship, maybe I’ll have more to say then! For now, that is all I’ve got for you tumblr.
#had to get serious for this one im not messing around with you yttd fandom#most of what people think in this fandom is just sheep mentality about soushin so#i doubt this will change much of the fandom perception because i am simply dead midori shitpost blog but.... maybe a little#yttd#soushin#your turn to die#midori posting#anon ask#kimi ga shine#shin tsukimi#midori yttd#sou hiyori#yttd theory

VerseAU: Two Magical Beings
Cringe fanfiction time whee:
His brother has been missing from the ship for over a day already. The kids back home don’t have any clue of his whereabouts. Don’s radar cannot even find him within the galaxy, much less anything farther away. There was no reason for him to leave without telling anyone where he was going, and there was no one able to get him without leaving a trace or a signal to the ship’s mainframe.
Angelo resorted to his old fashioned way: magic. He sat in his room with dim lighting and meditated. Picturing his brother. Trying to find that small, weak string of his ninpo. It took a few hours but he finally found it and latched on, taking his projection wherever his brother was. That trip was long and Angelo can feel himself getting weaker along the way.
It led to a weird amalgamation room. A large kitchen table, beanbags, blankets, tv protector, and various other stuff that seemed like a college dorm room.
Naro stood along with a group of others, all who looked way too similar to their own family members but different in some looks, height, and age. They all stared worried and angry at the orange being floating above them, chatting away about something.
Angelo tried to poke his brother. “Naro!” He whispered. Naro’s expression became confusion as he turned his gaze back.
“Angelo?”
“Where are you? We can’t find your tracker!”
Naro shook his head. “I don’t know. None of us do. We were dragged here in a portal.”
The one who looked like April looked to Naro. “Who are you talking to?” She asked.
Before Angelo can talk more, a chain wrapped around him and flinged him towards the ceiling. He phased through. After getting his footing again that orange being appeared again in front of him.
“You’re not supposed to be here. The Michelangelo spot is already filled!” They shouted in frustration. Almost like a child.
“Return my brother..Or else!” Angelo threatened. The being just glared back.
They then lifted their hand, which began to glow. “I know who you are and what you are capable of, Angelo.”
How?
“I am not impressed. You still won’t compare to me, ever.”
Angelo looked down at his projection and realized that he was being sent back as it began to fade away.
The being then got closer. “And he’s my brother now. Not yours.”

My TES OCs
Here's a short introduction to all my Elder Scrolls OCs, in case anyone isn't familiar/anyone new here wants to learn about them, or just because it's fun to talk about my OCs.
There's a lot so buckle up. This list will be updated with any new OCs I make. There's also a few OCs here that aren't as developed yet or I haven't given much attention to.
Characters under the cut:
Skyrim OCs:
Mirni Viloni. A Dunmer student at the college of Winterhold. She's extremely talented and has a great love for magic and learning. She's very curious, very adventurous and very flirty. She loves taking risks and going on adventures. She can be a bit selfish and surprisingly power-hungry and is always looking for new knowledge and ways to become a more powerful mage. She eventually forms a bond with Ralis Sedarys and, to her own surprise, falls in love with him.
Estlin Thunder-eye. A Breton warrior who was adopted and raised by a Nord family. She's the dragonborn. Though she's small she has a big personality and can be loud, but definitely has a lot of deep insecurities under the surface. She's a member of the companions and tends to hang out with Athis and Torvar.
Kiirra. A Cathay Khajiit thief and member of the thieves guild. (Later joins the Dark Brotherhood.) Though she's friendly and playful on the surface, she does have a temper underneath and is very good at holding grudges. Her black fur helps her be extra stealthy. She's known to be incredibly curious.
Ferevyn. A Dunmer pirate captain. His background is a bit of a mystery as he keeps telling everyone conflicting stories. Ferevyn is very confident to the point of being full of himself. He is however a skilled swordsman. He's adventurous and hates staying in the same place for long. He's also a flirt who has a new girlfriend in every port but never sticks around for anything to get serious.
Dar'vi. A Pahmar-Raht Khajiit pirate who works as Ferevyn's first mate. She's his best and possibly only true friend. Dar'vi is loyal and upbeat. She's a big tough lady who loves a good fight and a strong drink, but also enjoys collecting flowers and giving hugs. She's a cousin of Kiirra.
Sillas. A Bosmer pirate who sometimes works for Ferevyn as part of his crew, but also works for other captains or just stays ashore for periods of time. Sillas is eternally tired and usually acts apathetic towards everything. He's quiet and distant.
Varonys Telvanni. A Telvanni master wizard who is overall very anti-social and prefers to work on his experiments and research over pretty much anything else. He's had a few attempts at his life so he's become paranoid and overly cautious as well. He was in a relationship with his maid and assistant for a while which resulted in the birth of his daughter Mirni. He is currently not in contact with either of them. Mirni is unaware that he is her father.
Alya Viloni. She was Varonys' maid and assistant and eventual lover, and the mother of Mirni. She's a friendly and loving woman but with a bit of an obsessive streak. She's also known to be clumsy and despite working for the Telvanni for a while knows little to nothing about magic. She and Mirni had a falling out and she hasn't seen her daughter in years, but would like to reconnect.
Dandrii. A Dunmer woman. She used to be one of Ferevyn's girlfriends but they are no longer together. Dandrii is now a single mother to their son. She's a serious and tough woman but very kind and loving towards her son. She's angry at Ferevyn for leaving her, but secretly still has feelings for him.
Naro. Ferevyn and Dandrii's son, he's a serious and kind of gloomy kid. He's never met Ferevyn.
Fienna. A Dunmer mage who's gained an interest in Necromancy. She was expelled from the college of Winterhold for her dangerous and unethical experiments.
Ayrin. A Bosmer hunter. She comes across as standoffish but is actually very socially awkward and has a soft side.
Farwen. A very friendly Altmer who just wants to make friends. They would love to join the companions.
Oblivion OCs:
Alera. The hero of Kvatch/Champion of Cyrodiil. A Dunmer who was born in Cyrodiil. She acts noble and heroic, but isn't as innocent as one might believe. She was in jail for a reason after all.
Elder Scrolls Online OCs:
Nevetha. Dunmer assassin. Not really a heroic type, she's rather selfish and doesn't think twice about stealing or killing if it benefits her. Especially if she gets paid. Has the biggest crush on Elam Drals and tries to buy his love by making him food. At least she's a good cook.

[YTTD Spoilers/Theory] So a few days ago I was in a Discord call with my friend, and we started doing a "YTTD Character Tier List", and we got stuck on Megumi for a few minutes
We were discussing whether she was a good person or a bad person based on the little to no information there is about her
I mean, of course she is a bad person, with the whole thing about being avoidant when talking about "Why Mr. Redhead Policeman was fired?" and the "background deal", but we were discussing if she did that beacause she wanted to or if someone forced her to it, if she had ill intentions or not
Now this is where the fun begins, my friend's theory below:
He shared a theory he have about Megumi's wish and how that's directly connected to Redhead officer's death, the theory being that: Megumi's wish was to kill him.
He explained that maybe when Redhead discovered "the secret dark side of pollice", Megumi didn't like that and promptly fired him, but getting him out of the force wasn't enough since he could still somehow find more information about said "dark side", which led Megumi to make a deal with Midori, to kill Redhead with the ASU-NARO vow (I guess some could argue that we're making a bit of a stretch with a theory like that, but still what isn't a stretch in a game with almost no information)
Supposing we're right, this part of Megumi's victim video could mean 2 things:
She was following the demands of another higher up, leading to her wish with the ASU-NARO vow being to kill Redhead, which means that the isn't that bad
She was straight up lying in hopes that if pretending to be a victim herself, Keiji would give in and save her, which means she was a bad person all along
My thoughts? I'll go with 2, I like the ideia of her just being an asshole, we need more mean women in this game! /j
Jokes aside, it's the idea of "Good cop/Bad cop" and "The only good cops are fired cops", good cops are those who aren't on duty anymore (Keiji) and bad cops are those who are still on duty (Megumi), since she's already a bad cop for still being on the force even after knowing about the "dark secrets", why not commit to the fullest and be a bad person too?
Everyone (And by "everyone" I mean the participants) in this game is "an asshole but with somewhat good intentions", I think it would be cool to have a change, to have a character who was a dick with ill intentions all along
Anyway, I would love to know what you guys think about my friend's theory! All kinds of comments are welcome, I'm eager to know if you agree or disagree and why! :D
#Your Turn To Die#YTTD#YTTD Theory#Megumi Sasahara#Mr. Policeman#Officer Tazuna#Joe's dad#HOW DO I TAG A CHARACTER WHO HAS NO CANON NAME?!#Hope you guys like this theory#Because I sure do#I used to think that Megumi was a victim of ASU-NARO and all that but the idea of her being just as bad as them just makes me SO EXCITED#I can't explain why...#I just really like complex and mean characters#Like as in “I love to analyze them” and not “I love them”#I fucking hate them#But making analysis? Super cool

taking a shot at working through this deleted scene...
Our research has finally taken shape and borne fruit. / The artificial intelligences created by humans thus far have mostly excelled in their learning capabilities and been developed to support humans. / AI is anticipated to achieve growth and efficiency far beyond humans. But at the same time, something is being discarded there. / Emotions. / Emotions, which one would think have an inseparable connection to the formation of intelligence, have been treated as a nuisance. / Yet AI development that prioritizes emotions is a difficult prospect in this country. / They are unwilling to fund researchers who do "romantic" research with no clear profit. So it is extremely difficult. / Under normal circumstances, that is. / We gave the researchers the best possible environment for their work. And at last, they achieved things they could not have in the world above. / No need for growth or learning. / It's an artificial intelligence that simply has "a human heart." / An absurdly fascinating... and absurdly pointless... artificial intelligence. / I want you to imagine it. The family member, the lover, the friend you adored will stay unchanging on a screen. / Your parents when they were young and lively. Your innocent girlfriend from when you first met. Your friend who would talk with you untiringly. / If you wish it, you can have it, anytime. / ~The Green and Gentle Peace Committee~
first, I would like to point out the use of the word "discarded" which is also used by Safalin during the Liazer scene.

this dialog also says emotions have been viewed as a nuisance which I feel corresponds to Gashu's view of positive emotions. he saw them as a problem, a burden getting in the way of the perfect Asu-naro candidate.
less relevant to the point, but I took notice of the note of the "best possible environment", which seems to tie into Michiru's recruitment file which stated she could be drawn in with the ideal work. if this is about Namida, this may be placing her recruitment on the timeline around a similar time to Ranger's development.
now, I want to make note that this is not exclusively about Ranger and there's a clear issue as to why: they describe that they created an AI with a human heart. this is something that is specifically stated to not be given to Ranger until the Laizer scene. I don't think this dialog is about only him, and I'll get into who else I think may be involved soon.
While we are here though, I would like to throw out a possibility that the Ranger with a heart, aka Laizer, was the original creation. As I mentioned Safalin says the emotions were discarded, not that they were never present. I could see a world where Ranger was created in full replica of Sei and Gashu, likely very early in Ranger's existence, decided that was not good enough and made Michiru change it. This could have happened before Ranger was even fully conscious, or something akin to being shut down and remodeled occurred. this could be similar to dying, and Ranger himself told us the AIs could not be programmed to handle memories of their deaths. At the same time though, it's extremely possible this was about Sei, and she was explaining that what he was originally modeled off of possessed these emotions that were discarded from his creation.
anyways, back to the point at hand.
rather than being about one specific AI, I think it's a declaration of the radical development of Asu-naro. it's a statement of their ability to perfectly replicate a human using artificial intelligence.
so, now for the more speculative part. the examples they give of the purpose of this intelligence can line up with some actual creations we have seen.
the family member would be Ranger being created in Sei's vision. the lover could be Emiri's fiancée (that one is a big stretch, but I'll explain why this came to mind for me). finally, the friend could be the Shin AI, created for Midori who "adored" him, for better or worse.
the section following this could be the corresponding human who would request the creation of these AIs.
"Your parents when they were young and lively" referring to Gashu, references back to when he was more alive in the times before Sei was killed.
"Your innocent girlfriend from when you first met" would be Emiri/Miley. this specific line is what made me connect the lover to her fiancé. the word innocent fits into her before asu-naro, back from when they first met at their workplace before she would have been lured into asu-naro, the company that took innocence out of her.
"Your friend who would talk with you untiringly" loosely fits Shin and Sou's dynamic. this line differs from the others by not giving a positive descriptor of the other such as lively or innocent, rathee simply describes what the other benefited from their bond. in my eyes, this fits how Hiyori seems to perceive relations with others.
in support of these lines referring to the requesting human, we can safely say Hiyori selfishly made the Shin AI. I think it is likely Gashu was the original requester of creating Ranger, which might have been hinted at when Sara recognized the importance of Ranger by thinking he may exist in the placement of a son Gashu has missed having.
so, what does my interpretation mean to me?
1. this brings up the possibility of Emiri's fiancée returning through the means of AI, if he hasn't already. we could tie this in with the theory of Hayasaka being her partner who we have already seen returned in AI existence.
2. this could give context to what Emiri and Michiru were recruited for, and what their role in the company was pre death game. this dialog could point to them being brought into the ideal environment, something Michiru specifically desired, to model these new AIs. I think this recruitment context could also be evidenced by another deleted scene describing researchers coming together to "build a human:

these two obviously don't line up directly with Michiru and Emiri going off of the given names, but I wanted to point out this example of a dialog that once again describes researchers coming together to create a human-like AI. now I will say it's interesting both of these scenes are deleted, so perhaps this concept may have been scrapped anyways.
3. it's interesting to see that Nankidai has had Ranger and Sei's story planned out this whole time. looking back at chapter 2 it feels so obvious. the previously mentioned Sara line about Ranger being a stand-in for Gashu's son was picked up as being about Kai at the time, but now clearly fits Sei. the way Safalin explains Ranger's existence to him feels like she was boarding telling him about Sei; saying that he isn't complete, that he lost what he once had, and that Ranger isn't his true name. even the surrounding setting of Ranger's death, dying next to a Yabusame being comforted by their sibling hurts so much more thinking about Kai being with Sei when he was killed. it all makes me appreciate Nankidai's planning and execution.
thank you for reading if you made it this far! just want to say this is only my interpretation and I'm sure it's not fully accurate to whatever the original intentions were. also, this scene is deleted so even if any of this is correct it may now be totally irrelevant.

With Shin's percentage, it could be rounded up and possibly something like... 0.04%. A possibility, but a very small one for him to survive >>
(Sorry if you've talked about this before, just relating to one of the previous answered asks about him and Gin escaping)
It's technically possible, but personally I've never been a super big fan of this idea and I also don't think it would have been rounded!
I think Shin's story is hugely impactful because he has never been able to survive the death game. Through all of the AI runs where even kids like Kanna and Gin managed to win, he failed every time. Whether that's because he sacrificed himself for Kanna, his bad social skills always got him killed, or he was simply too weak is up for debate, but regardless the fact that he couldn't survive really adds to his characterization.
It also makes the player much more sympathetic toward him, which is impressive given how awful he is at certain points. I think even people who don't like Shin can acknowledge that he was given a horrible hand in the death game and that's what drove him to lash out in desperation. Personally I think that desperation is cheapened a bit if it was revealed that Shin COULD survive the death game if he just simply did A B and C.
Outside of my personal preferences, we know that ASU-NARO likely didn't round up the papers. I say that because Naomichi's survival rate is 9.9% and if the papers were going to be rounded I would assume that they'd round his number up to 10.0%.
So I don't think this is true and I don't really love the idea of it being true. However, I DO think it would be really neat for Shin to learn that he had won a handful of games. I will give this theory that.

what's thr story behind the 3? :0
how'd they meet?
Chronologically it goes something like this!!
When Augustine was first starting up as a private detective she found herself needing a partner, but due to her reputation and a severe lack of connections she struggled to find anyone
A while later she received an anonymous letter asking for help on a case, in which she would be given a new partner to work with
That was Ned!
Ned was specifically designed for solving cases, which advanced scanners (capable of scanning faces, fingerprints, seeing traces of blood after it’s been cleaned away and a LOT of other stuff) and a learning ai
He quickly adapted to their situation and the two eventually became friends
Ned has no memory of the person who created him and states anything before meeting Augustine is completely blank to him
A few years after that, Dex appears-!
He claims to be there simply as a new colleague, and partner
At first they’re very hesitant to befriend Ned or Augustine and insist on remaining professional (it doesn’t last long)
Presumably Dex was sent by the same person who made Ned
Another couple years pass and Augustine very suddenly and abruptly goes missing without a trace
Ned and Dex are left to take over Augustine’s business and to try and find where she went
From Augustine’s perspective she has NO idea what happened and she wakes up somewhere completely alien to her
In her first couple of days in this new place she finds Naro, who is initially very paranoid and scared around her- and then Callie not long after!
Without spoiling too much the three eventually meet when Augustine overhears someone talking of a pair of robots whose description sounds remarkably like Ned and Dex- and she tracks them down from there!
After that the three become fast friend and the rest is history!

Hinako, Sei and The Effects of Asu-Naro
So hopefully with my previous analysis I’ve been able to convince you of Hinako’s character that was all already been there in the base game. If you haven't read it, you should as this is essentially a part 2 that which I couldn't fit in because of the image limit on Tumblr. Generally I've avoided talking about content from the past episodes because I want to make the point that the dummies’ characters have all been there from the start, but I do want to talk about it here a bit more just to add a little more and further prove the points I made.
In the last analysis I said Kai’s character is one that relates most to Hinako, but I LIED!!! I AM A LIAR!!! There is one character who parallels a lot more closely to Hinako, that being Sei from Kai’s past episode. Like Hinako he was raised in Asunaro as a child, and like Hinako he was given a small taste of affection before being killed off anyways. And both their mindsets are reflective of this too.
Both talking about being used and being "pawn", a specific word choice that only shows up 3 times throughout the whole game, being here and during Keiji's discussion about Kai, all related to people from Asu-naro.
Sei also mentions being a tool, and with that context Sara’s claim that she doesn’t think of the dummies as tools holds a lot more meaning
And to add to one of the major points in my analysis, being the affection Hinako doesn't seem to get, the lack of affection Asu-naro shows is something directly called out during the minisode.
Asu-naro's mindset of “value” which Hinako follows closely is shown through Sei yet again when he says,
And if that wasn’t enough, their humanity is called into question just the same as how the dummies were in 3-1, being treated as gimmicks.
In a way, the way Sei was brought in as a rival to bring Kai up also mirrors the way Hinako was an agent placed into the dummies assumedly to push the death game forward (as she claims Mai may have done, which could be seen as projection)
The parallels are clear between Sei and Hinako, and these connections continue onto the doll Rio Ranger as well.
Obviously Rio watched as the real Hinako died, beating her corpse out of jealousy upon realising she didn’t value her life, and specifically refusing to wear any clothes from her corpse.
Meanwhile our pink haired Hinako obviously did wear her clothes.
Already this puts some connection between them, but Rio also backs up the connection between affection and humanity with his death.
And Gashu’s denial of this (along with the Asunaro executive in the Past Episode) shows that the lack of humanity through affection in Asu-naro is a consistent thing, especially in the younger members.
Considering all that the fact Hinako was finally able to find that affection means even more, and the fact that she was able to break out of this bubble for a moment, only to be dragged back in just adds to her tragedy, especially since we’ve seen Kai be able to escape Asu-naro’s grasps even in his final moments. The fact Hinako was denied that by Midori even after coming so far shows the dark core of Asu-naro at full force and tells us so much about Hinako herself to be able to grow from there.
#your turn to die#yttd#yttd analysis#yttd dummies#yttd spoilers#analysis#character analysis#hinako mishuku#hinako yttd#sei satou#sei yttd#Next one will hopefully be the finale for this series of analysis on the dummies so i hope to see you then!!#thanks for reading!!!

I'm obsessed with idea of fanfic where teenage Nolo quarrels with Indis and runs away from home. The whole family is looking for him, but who eventually finds him is his half-brother who just accidently happend to be nearby.
And Nolo starts telling about his problems just because he needs somebody to talk to.
And Naro says him to go with all his complaining to his mother.
And Nolo yells that he will never talk to his mother again.
And he doesn't know what to say after Naro's answer: 'No. I will never talk to my mother again. But all you have to do for that is just return home and apologize'.
But then Nolo whispers 'I'm sorry' and now Feanaro doesn't know what to say because for the first time in his life he understands that nothing of it is Nolo's fault.
For the first time in their lifes two princes of noldor talk like they have something more in common then just one father for two.
And maybe it's not the begining of a beautiful friendship.
But it's definitely the begining of that begining.
