Bethany's Bizarre Miraculous Character Rundown: The Other Four

Alright, I'm still psyching myself up to go back to reviews, but first, I wanted to do a character rundown of the four characters that got a Miraculous in Penalteam, as they all share the fact that of the Miracukids they're barely utilized. So let's go!

Ivan Bruel

Alright, starting off with the Big Guy. Honestly of the four it's honestly the strangest he didn't get his own episode, considering that the other half of the auxiliary duo he's in, Mylene, got her own episode all about her and making her a Miraculous hero. Like, he'd work well in Optigami against Style Queen as well! Maybe Optigami takes place far earlier in Season 4 so we can get that sweet sweet Lukanette and Adrigami content before it all falls apart and Marinette's parents learn about the whole 'Ladybug and Guardian' thing so they can save her bacon and possibly become Miraculous wielders themselves, and Ivan is one of the few survivors of Style Queen's murderous rampage! There's parallels to him being the first akuma as well! But I guess his character is just going to be "Mylene's girlfriend" instead. As for my interpretations on his character, I read two fanfics that both had a segment that interpreted his silent giant character as very perceptive. In one he figured out the identities of both Ladybug and Chat Noir without seeing them transform, and in another he realized Lila was lying in Chameleon almost immediately and was crucial in taking her down. I really like this interpretation, to the point where I headcanon that he knows the identities of most Miraculous heroes and knew Lila was capping. Also I felt like he was too soft in Penalteam. He doesn't normally want to hurt anyone but if it's for the greater good he'll do it is my interpretation. Other stuff, other stuff... he likes death metal. That combined with him being in Kitty Section makes me believe he's a Jojo fan, because the rest of Kitty Section are definitely Jojo fans. Except maybe Adrien. Maybe not. Also I don't like his voice but that's no biggie to me. Like, if his voice is supposed to deep-yet-crack-y, then I'm chill. Representation for the kids watching this show.

Nathaniel Kurtzberg

Honestly, of all the Miracukids, Nathaniel is the least interesting to me. Like I feel like I know all I need to about him through canon and headcanon. He was bullied for being shy, meek, and Jewish, and that resulted in him becoming mistrustful, vengeful, and at points grouchy. His interests are drawing superhero comics and watching superhero media. Before Marc came along they didn't have too much of a complex ongoing story. He wants to be a comic artist when he grows up, specifically of Ladybug. He's boned if people realize how weird it is to make merch and other stuff of real live superheroes without their permission or even giving them cash. He's bi. He knows the identities of the Miraculous heroes. He has two first cousins once removed. One of his parents is a doctor, while the other can stay at home. Like, that's it. Even moreso is that he keeps on getting forgotten in the Miracuclass. Apparently he just vanished in Zombizou.

Marc Aniel

Honestly Marc feels like he has even less personality and time in-show yet I can headcanon more stuff about him than Nathaniel. Why is he friends with Marinette despite us never seeing him before? In the first year of middle school, he and Marinette were seatmates in the same class, and said class had no Chloe, so they had time to be safe and bond over being victims of bullying and the joy of creation. They're transmasc and nonbinary, using they/he pronouns. They have two moms and zero dads in sight. They got into soccer from soccer yaoi. In general they're a big yaoi consumer, mostly of twink yaoi. They're a wolf furry. They're a weeb, too. Actually maybe he just has more varied interests than Nathaniel. I guess when given the chance they can passionately ramble on about the stories they're writing is my interpretation,

Sabrina Raincomprix

Sabrina's a fun one, as she wasn't always shoved to the side. She was a main character in season 1, arguably more than Nino was! And honestly, I got a lot of character from her. My interpretation of her is that as a baby child, she imprinted heavily on Roger's ideals and her philosophy is a person's worth is dependent on what they contribute to the lives of others. That, combined with the mommy issues she has from never knowing her mom (I don't know what happened to her,) is the reason why she's so servile to Chloe and at one point Marinette. She loves Chloe and thinks that deep down, Chloe loves her back. Morally, she's true neutral, which is why she's fine with breaking into Marinette's house to steal her diary or locking Juleka in the bathroom. She doesn't necessarily hate them, though. She's just doing her job. She's both an accomplished and a disaster lesbian, and I love her for that. I feel like you could make a damn good long story about her. In general while Julerose is amazing sweet wholesome yuri, Chlobrina is amazing toxic yuri. Why is this show so good with side character yuri?

Someone in the in universe version of Tumblr starts a shipping poll bracket for the heroes and temporary holders. Marinette is distressed when various heroes begin making actual videos of themselves as propaganda posts for their various ships. Carapace & Rena Rouge: We should clearly win as we're the only heroes ACTUALLY dating each other! Polymouse: Um, excuse me?

Weeby’s Valentine’s Special- Myvan Wedding HC’s

It’s the day of love, so ya girl Weeby decided to celebrate with one of my favorite couples! Enjoy these sweet HC’s, and happy Valentine’s Day, everybody! @imsparky2002 @booksrbetterthanpeople @nerdy-chocomallow (Underlined words have links to check out!)

It was a year after most of them graduated university, and the akuma class (along with Ondine, Marc and Kagami) were having a mini reunion on the Liberty. When the sun was beginning to go down, Rose told everyone that Kitty Section wanted to debut something new. After playing a beautiful love song that Ivan had written, Rose and Juleka pulled Mylene up on stage and everyone lost their minds when Ivan stood up from his drums and kneeled in front of her with a ring in his hand. The cheers when she said yes could be heard for miles. (The message that was sent of the proposal video in the DuPont Survivors group chat the four classes kept after graduating blew up when the video of the proposal was sent.)

Naturally, the first thing to do was to tell their families they were officially tying the knot. So they invited them all out to dinner and dropped the news. Galina Bruel and Mylene’s stepmother, Imelda Ortega-Haprele were both absolutely overjoyed and happy-cried for almost an hour straight. Iosif and Fred were quieter than their wives but equally happy for them. And you know Sasha was thrilled when Mylene asked her to be a bridesmaid, and Jesse almost cried when Mylene asked him to walk her down the aisle with her dad, saying he’s always been her brother, even before their parents got married.

The planning of Mylene and Ivan’s wedding was almost like an event in and of itself, with how all of their friends helped to pitch in and set everything up. The girl squad had several sleepover meetups where they discussed everything from the location, to the catering, to the guest list, to the music. Mylene and Ivan were just grateful that their friends cared enough to want their ceremony to be amazing in every way. (Imelda and Galina were also largely involved with the planning, which Mylene couldn’t have been more happy about, given her egg donor’s absence from her life.)

Of course, Mylene and Ivan wouldn’t look for a lot of fanfare with their wedding, and the location they chose reflected that. They ended up going with a small chapel near Ivan’s family’s home, that had a modest but gorgeous outdoor garden, and everyone agreed it was the perfect choice for them. Understated, but undeniably beautiful, just like the love between the two.

One of the most important parts of nuptials is choosing the wedding party, but they were actually pretty easy decisions for Mylene and Ivan. The best man was Ivan’s best friend and bandmate, Luka Couffaine, while Mylene’s maid of honor was her longtime (female) best friend, Luka’s sister, Juleka. The groomsmen consisted of Nino Lahiffe, Max Kante, Le Chien Kim, Adrien Agreste, and Nathaniel Kurtzberg. While the bridesmaids were Alya Cesaire, Alix Kubdel, Rose Lavillant, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and of course, the bride’s soon-to-be sister-in-law.

Now of course, Mylene and Ivan weren’t looking for a particularly big wedding, but that didn’t stop them from inviting all their old friends from DuPont, and everyone RSVP’d yes, that of course they’d come! No way were any of them missing the union of one of the sweetest couples in Paris’ history! And on the day of the ceremony, all of them were packed into the aisles to support their friends and wish them a happy life together!

Every bride deserves to have the dress of their dreams, and you know Marinette would settle for giving one of her best friends nothing less! She worked endlessly on Mylene’s dress for weeks on end, making sure everything about it suited her perfectly, and when the bride walked down the aisle in the simple, but undeniably elegant gown, paired with the white blooms woven through her blonde curls and pearly flats, no one could stop gushing about how gorgeous she looked. (And we won’t sleep on her handsome groom in that understated but sharp suit!)

When the big day finally arrived and the ceremony began, both the bride and groom were feeling the typical nerves that plague many people when they’re about to be married…but the second they locked eyes from opposite ends of the aisle, all of those feelings were gone, and they’d never felt happier in their lives. And when the bride was given away by her father and brother, everyone was holding back tears.

After the words of the minister of the ceremony, it was time for the couple to exchange their vows, which they had written themselves. Mylene’s speech about her soon-to-be-husband being the kindest and gentlest person she’s ever known and promising to be by his side no matter what comes their way had tears pricking at everyone’s eyes. And by the time Ivan had finished speaking about how he’d loved Mylene as long as he’d known her, and how he promised to love her more every day and to always have her back, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

When the vows were exchanged, and the preacher dropped the “Speak now or forever hold your peace” (with no one even thinking to say anything, obviously), it was finally time to seal the deal. With the exchange of “I do”’s, the groom was given the okay to kiss his beautiful bride. No one could hold in their cheers, or obsessing over how cute it was when Ivan had lifted Mylene up to be level with him and spun her around during the kiss!

Given that this is Mylene and Ivan, the reception wasn’t some big fancy affair, crystal chandeliers, uppity hotels, or any of the like. It was more like a big picnic in a different area of the garden from the wedding ceremony. Yeah, like an actual picnic, blankets instead of tables and everyone just chilled on the grass! Everyone was allowed to sit wherever they wanted and all had a great time catching up and just celebrating the newlyweds.

After everyone had enjoyed their food, it was time for Ivan and Mylene’s first dance as a married couple. When the song they had picked began to play, no one could take their eyes off the couple. (The height difference made it all the more adorable, in the opinions of everyone present.) After that, the groom’s mother and the bride’s father joined their respective children for a dance, and neither parent could hold back their tears of pride and joy when the song ended. The final ceremonial dance was between the groom and his baby sister and the bride and her stepbrother, with the perfect song to match. After that, everyone took to the floor and had a great time getting down to every cheesy and iconic dance song they could all think of. (At one point, Nino (the DJ), even offered up the mic and a bunch of people from the old DuPont gang took it to do a song themselves!)

Speeches are a key part of every wedding reception, and this one was no exception. The best man’s and maid of honor’s moving words about the couple brought everyone to tears. All of the groomsmen and bridesmaids made speeches, some sweet and moving, some funny but no less heartfelt. (Kim’s especially had everyone in stitches.) Overall, the speeches ended up taking over two and a half hours, as so many family and friends got up to speak and celebrate the couple, who wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Finally, as everything was winding down, it was time for the closing traditions of the wedding. When the bride threw her bouquet out to the crowd, the cheering from the present DuPont alumni was thunderous when its descent ended in the hands of one Austin Tomassian. (Which brought on ample teasing and knowing looks in the direction of Jean DuParc from his former classmates.) And when it was time for the bride’s garter to be tossed by her new husband (accompanied by a flurry of catcalls from the groom’s friends), the lucky one to catch it was none other than groomsman Nathaniel Kurtzberg, who couldn’t keep himself from glancing in the direction of Marc Anciel.

After the ceremony, it’s time for the honeymoon! It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that these two kept it simple! After the loud and rousing sendoff from their friends and family, they headed out to the little cabin they’d rented out in the country where they just enjoyed a week of peace and quiet, and a lot of love!

Big day for annoying people (me)

The two new eps of ML were good? Like wow it’s been great so far except ep 3 was comparatively a flop imo. Werepapas was so, idk, enticing lore-wise but I don’t have much to say that other people haven’t except that they’re clearly NOT neglecting past plot points, making the tone too silly goofy all the time, nor retconning important stuff like some people worried they would. We have been FED. I’m sure Felix is involved in that ring bs somehow, but idk if his intentions are pure or not.

Warning for the only salty thing I’m gonna say on this post: I’m so tired of going into the fandom tag and seeing people whining about “bad writing” problems that literally never happened based entirely on their own incorrect predictions they made up to make themselves mad. Ugh anyway. This post is gonna be about small details I latched onto in Daddycop!

We got to see glimpses of Sabrina and Max’s rooms this ep! Max’s room looks like a Star Trek spaceship but the books on his bookshelf are kinda giving those reference books at the library of like, archived government documents or research papers iykwim whereas the books in Alya’s room look like manga. An interesting thing I noticed in Sabrina’s room is that she has a line of framed certificates on the wall, maybe academic awards or something similar

Did they ever say if Markov can see Kaalki or not? I’m sure they will eventually but idk which option I like better. It’d be cute if they were friends but it’d be pretty funny if he had to watch Max talk to the secret floating ghost who lives with them now and not question it

List of things Sabrina dumps in the trash: yellow nail polish, the brooch Chloe gifted to her/bribed her with in season 1, the cat ear headband from her Chat Noir cosplay when she and Chloe were roleplaying as him and Ladybug in season 3, a beret, maybe the one Chloe tried to bribe her with in s1, Chloe-style sunglasses, a Queen Bee doll, a photo of them together in the old animation, and a mug/tumbler? Maybe a gift from her as well idk maybe they’re selling Queen Bee-themed Stanley cups over there.

Between eps 2 and 4 I’m getting the sense that Sabrina uses Miss Hound as an escape kinda like CN where she feels like she can become instantly likeable, trustworthy, helpful, and useful through the inherent credibility of being a superhero. She has anonymity, can sort of start over on a blank slate, and is automatically implied to be a good person since Ladybug entrusted her. I’m guessing we’re gonna see more of that blank slate idea with other characters and what they’ll do with it, but it’s telling that Sabrina decides to transform to resolve people’s minor inconveniences, especially when she’s feeling bad about herself. It’s like she’s proving a point to herself but also giving herself something productive to do.

The GIRLS Ahhhhh let’s go lesbians

Noticing a clear absence of Alix. Ik the special implied she has to keep hiding in the burrow from Lila but she’s all normal-looking in the intro and they can’t shelve her forever. I feel like something is gonna change to make her be able to return.

^^^ ALSO she’s the only hero with zero design updates and my theory is that the purpose of that is so she can do contrived time nonsense like going back to earlier seasons and going forward without contradicting anything or revealing which time period she’s actually from

I gotta say the side character writing has progressively been better and better throughout the show. Atp they really feel like actual people with their own opinions and motivations. In the early days they felt more like lovable NPCs who talked occasionally but now they’re real characters? With free will? I feel like I just watched Pinocchio get turned into a real boy

The pro-healthy eating censorship/propaganda/whatever in this show is so funny omg. Juleka: I brought fruit tea Mylene: wow that’s so much better than the sugary soda we had last time LMAO. To balance out Rose holding a bag of popcorn they gave Zoe two burlap sacks full of oranges which tbf I’d rather snack on those during a movie than popcorn but still. I saw a vid recently about gravity falls adding random bowls of fruit next to characters eating junk food because they were getting flagged as promoting unhealthy habits. I keep thinking about that moment in Ikari Gozen when Mari asks Kagami out for “juice” when any normal teen would’ve said “coffee” like nope no caffeine in my good Christian miraculous

RED ALERT YOU GUYS Mylene has an inclusive pride flag pin on her overall strap. Like the rainbow flag with the trans triangle and the black stripe. It’s not subtle or anything it’s just right there wow. Damn

The pin above it reminds me of Timebreaker’s logo. I wonder what some of these pins mean

Ok last season they seem to have established that Sabrina became friends with Marc and Nathaniel who were both explicit Sabrina Supporters since their akuma episodes, so it feels sort of convenient that they were written out of the narrative for this ep. I do see the whole Girl Squad thing and how she feels excluded when all the girls in the group hang out together without her, doing traditional girl things like movie night sleepovers, so I do think it’s totally valid. Her having absolutely zero friends is hyperbolized though.

On that note I have to wonder if the school might have several lunch periods because none of the male characters expect Adrien and Nino were there. Or maybe they just stage the scene with whoever is convenient. They might have flexible lunch schedules and all the other characters are off somewhere else.

Rose mentioned a girl whose name I didn’t recognize and after rewinding i can’t tell what she said. Aglie? New character? Maybe she’s that black girl with pink hair who was sitting with Adrien, Nino, and Sublime at lunch

KAGAMI AND ONDINE ARE CANONICALLY FRIENDS this is like the Superbowl for me. I’m so excited for Sleeping/Princess Syren I need to see her.

God the girls were so messy in that scene where they didn’t want to invite Sabrina lol I kinda love it I can’t even be mad

Zoe, your lab safety is atrocious. Not only are you taking your goggles off while still in the lab, but then you *leave the room* and *touch someone* with your gloves still on?! Diabolical. What are they even doing, soldering computer chips?

Roger’s relationship with Sabrina is actually so cute even though he’s kinda misguided as a person GOD when he’s on his way to console his crying daughter and Lila enters his mind space and he’s cradling his arms like he’s clearly seeing her as his baby 🥺 nobody talk to me

Alexa play I bet on losing dogs by mitski. Myyyy baby my baby…

We got a glimpse of the baddest bitch in Paris Xavier Ramier I’m so happy

Sabrina shapeshifted her necklace into a brooch. Huh. I guess you can just do that

The power of believing in herself allowed her to yassify her own character design into a cuter and more fashionable superhero! This is basically just like real life if you think about it

Her ball has a doggy nose on it awww

Lila telling Roger to turn around so she could back him up and fire the anti akuma was badass okay

I’m not sold on the loud ass makeup they have a lot of the characters wearing so I’m glad we got to see the girls with clean faces at the end there. Wow they look so normal! I’m also loving the pajama designs. I had to pause and look at all of them.

Zoe had to stop and hit Sabrina with that rizz stare to make sure Sabrina wouldn’t be coming up with any platonic explanations for her behavior

I never thought I’d say these words, but I think a love triangle between Sabrina, Zoe, and Max would be fun. Imagine Zoe is into Sabrina, Sabrina isn’t exactly catching the hint and sees Zoe as a really nice friend, Sabrina kinda likes Max, and Max is like damn these bitches gay. Good for them.

The end card is so baby omg

I TOLD YOU GUYS Sabrina was gonna get a makeover and people were like uH No iTs JUsT An aNimATioN eRroR oF a ScRApPEd DeSiGn girl why the hell would they leave a scrapped design in the intro, and there’s no way they would accidentally not notice that much less repeat it

Mark my words white haired Caprikid is not an error either he’s real and he’s gonna collect all the chaos emeralds to get that way

A new diabolical twink has hit the scene. Ray’s pompous ass immediately reminded me of Preminger from Barbie. He looks like he rides horses. Like he tells people he’s into sports but then you find out the sport is just horse riding. Immediately invested. Who is this diva. I want him to get hit by a bus.

Ooooo Zoe was up to some Delinquent Shit in America this is so juicy. I looove when suspiciously perfect characters get revealed to be secretly fucked up that’s the best. I’ve always loved those types of headcanons, that she was expelled from her last school and moved to a different country all of a sudden for her mom’s PR. If you think about it, that’s exactly what happened to Chloe damn. Daughter commits PR disaster, do zero parenting about it, relocate daughter far away to start over with little consequence! I wanna see some parallels. I feel like she made it sound like she moved because she was getting bullied at her old school, but what if that was a lie, or at least a partial lie? You know shit’s serious when the exposition is in the post-post-endcard scene

The pacing of these episodes has been satisfying compared to previous seasons, especially 5. They aren’t trying to shove too much in, but there’s still a lot happening and fiiiinally a nice mix of plot and fighting. I was getting irritated by how rushed a lot of the fights were last season like might as well just not have them at all

Late edit: back to the pajamas because I forgot to analyze them, I have noticed that Juleka’s pants have bats on them :) frickin bats. They also have like… a crescent moon with something sitting on it? idk what that is. It’s like a pattern of cute spooky Halloween imagery. But the pants and her black lace tank top versus Rose’s sparkly pink unicorn onesie is adorb.

Zoe has a yellow tank and seems to be wearing her usual leggings under running shorts um? Outside clothes in bed? And her pink slides give the whole thing a sans undertale vibe. Oh what the fuck why do the feet of her tights have individual toes lmao. The horror. I hate it.

I can’t tell what Mylene is wearing except a black t-shirt that might have something white on it. OMG EDIT 2 ITS IVAN’S T-SHIRT FROM HIS OLD DESIGN YOU GUYS SHES WEARING HER BF’S OLD BAND TEE AS PAJAMAS. This is headline news myvan nation. She has maybe pink shorts and her slippers look like Uggs.

Kagami’s silk pjs look luxurious. I love how her clothes this season went from just preppy to being very obviously EXPENSIVE like she’s blending in with the gang but she’s still clearly rich af.

Sabrina’s pjs are a classic set with her usual argyle pattern on them. 10/10 would give her a warm glass of milk and read her a bedtime story. I wonder what she needs eye drops for because she told Roger she needs to pack them.

Excited to see more yay! I love the little details. It’s kinda a bummer that Sabrina spent most of her hero focus ep sobbing but we ball (see what I did there) and the end was so cutesy. So excited to probably watch episode 11 before episode 6

Teacher: "You just bought yourself another day of detention."

Teacher: "Two days!"

Mylene: "I'm sorry, I don't even know your name."

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 33 - Frozer

Alix grumbled as she put on a pair of ice skates. She glanced around at her classmates and plus some doing the same. They all excitedly chatted while she fumed. Chloe chatted with everyone before she sat down beside Alix.

“You ready for this?”

“Can I say no and still leave?” Alix asked.

“Oh, come on. You can’t leave now. You already told Adrien you’d do this.”

Alix mumbled and crossed her arms. She sank back in her seat as she regretted agreeing to this charade. Chloe rolled her eyes and saw to everyone else while Adrien sat beside her.

“Hey, thank you again, for coming along. I know it’s not exactly your cup of tea, but I appreciate it still,” Adrien said.

“Said after you begged me to come along despite my clear disdain for the very idea of all this.”

“Oh, come on! It’s a little fun, right? Besides, Chloe’s in charge of this. Everything should be fine.

“If she’s in charge, then she has the power to exclude Kagami, Lila, and Marinette.”

“True, but I sorta asked her to not exclude Kagami and Lila. Marinette, well, I can’t explain that. Maybe they, and I mean Marinette’s friends, hope to help her?”

“They have more faith in her than I ever could.”

“You don’t have a lot of faith in anyone.”

“Exactly, but those three particularly. I mean, fuck. Lila isn’t going to attend because of her whole ‘affair’ with Bloody Bug. Kagami is thoroughly brainwashed and conditioned. Marinette, well, at least she has people she can count on.”

“Well, Sabrina did point out that we should give people second chances to be better, and that everyone has the potential to be better. So, I told Chloe to give them those chances. Oh! And I’ve also brought a special friend.”

“Oh? Who would that be?”

Adrien turned as Felix took a seat next to him.

“Alix,” Felix said.

“Felix. Been a while,” Alix remarked.

“Yes, well, get used to it.”

Alix hummed when Chloe blew her whistle, getting everyone’s attention. “Thank you all for meeting me here. As you all know, I’m hosting a Valentine’s dance for couples, and polycules, this Valentine’s Day. You’re all here because you losers need some help, so here I am to play your cupid. Now, let’s begin! I want to see you guys pair off and hit the ice. Any left behind will be matched based on my expert opinion.”

Everyone exchanged glances before people paired off. Nino and Alya, Juleka and Rose, and Mylene and Ivan were amongst the first. Luka and Marinette were pulled out onto the ice alongside them.

Alix tsked. “I don’t envy Luka, but good on him.”

“What do you mean?”

“Huh? Oh, he has a crush on Marinette.”

“He does? I thought he had a crush on you?”

“I guess he has one on each of us. In all honesty, I’d rather he just be interested in Marinette. Being with me could be… messy.”

“I don’t think he minds who you are, Alix.”

“It’s not that. It’s just, well, I’m aromantic. At least, that’s what Juleka and Rose said it’s called. And I agree with them.”

“I’m sorry, but that’s this ‘aromantic’ thing you bring up?” Felix asked.

“It just means that I don’t experience romantic attraction. From what I’ve gathered on my own, there are many different types of aromantics. I’m still not completely sure where I fall, I just know that I don’t care for romance, don’t understand it’s finer points, but also do want companionship.”

Felix and Adrien exchanged glances before Kagami arrived. Kagami glared down at Alix, before she looked at Adrien. Alix snarled until she noticed Felix’s wide, enchanted eyes that were fixated on Kagami.

“Let’s go, Adrien,” Kagami ordered.

“Ah, well, you see, I-,” Adrien started.

Felix stood up. “Please, I beseech you, skate with me instead.”

Kagami’s brow furrowed as she took a step back. “Excuse me?”

“Your ebony hair that illuminates with shades of blue is reminiscent of the night sky under a full moon in its silver, resplendent glory. The freckles that adorn your beautiful skin are like stars painted on the night canvas. And your eyes are like a low, inviting fire out of the silvery mist of darkness. They call out like a siren sings to her victims, beckoning all who dare gaze upon you in until they are ensnared by your ferocity. You are the night and the moon personified. Please allow me to be your Sun.”

Adrien’s eyes sparkled at Felix’s poetry while Alix made gagging noises. A slight blush formed on Kagami’s cheeks before it vanished.

“Fine, but just this once.”

Felix beamed as Kagami led him onto the ice.

“That was beautiful,” Adrien whispered.

“That was sickening,” Alix retorted.

“What? But-!”

“Uh, Adrien?” Sabrina interrupted.

Alix and Adrien turned to look at Sabrina.

“Hey, Rin. What’s up?”

Alix raised a brow when she saw Sabrina blush.

“You… you wouldn’t mind if we skated, would you?”

Adrien lit up. “I’d love to!”

Alix watched Adrien head onto the ice with Sabrina. Alix smiled, happy for him, but that happiness was soured by a gnawing envy. She frowned as she looked around to see nearly everyone had hit the ice save for her, Kim, and Chloe. Chloe turned towards her when Kim moved in and stole her away towards the ice.

Alix watched everyone skate around the rink. She sighed as loneliness ate away at her and tore her apart. She took off her skates, returned them to the front desk, and left. She headed away from the building as Tikki and Ziggy poked her back. She grumbled as she put in an earbud, flashed her phone, and put it in her hoodie pocket.

“What do you want?” Alix asked.

“What’s wrong? You seemed happy, but then you weren’t,” Tikki pointed out.

“It’s nothing. I just… I didn’t want to be that freak that’s always alone while everyone has fun. That’s all.”

“Well, why not join the skating anyway? Who says you need to have a partner?” Ziggy asked.

“That’s not how it works. Besides, I… I don’t know. It may not be bad to have someone as a companion. Not that I’ll ever have that.”

“Why not?” Tikki pressed.

“Yeah, why not? You seem to have plenty of options available,” Ziggy added.

“It’s… it’s not like that. I can’t go to any of them. I don’t… I don’t want to give them false hope or lead them on, or whatever.”

“What do you mean?” Ziggy asked.

“I… I don’t know. I just… a lot of things are changing. I’m starting to, I dunno, want things I never did before.”

“Like wanting a boyfriend or girlfriend?” Tikki asked.

“Please, don’t use those terms. They make me feel… icky. Use companion. It feels… better.”

“Ok. So, does this include wanting a companion?”

“I… I think so.”

“But don’t you have a lot of companions already?” Ziggy asked.

“I have friends, and I love them dearly, but I also want a little something more. I want someone who’d accept me, all of me.”

“I don’t understand. Don’t you have that already? I mean, you have Adrien, Rose, Mylene, Ivan, and so many others. Are they not enough?” Tikki questioned.

“Not… not like them. They’re friends, but I don’t want them. They accept all of me that they can, but I want something that will accept all of me. Do you understand?”

Tikki hummed and shook her head.

Ziggy considered, then gasped. “Oh! I think I do! Don’t worry, Alix. They’re called hormones. They’ll pass in time.”

Alix pinched the bridge of her nose. She opened her mouth when a scream tore through the air. She turned around to see everything was covered in ice. Her heart dropped seeing the people caught in it turned into ice statues. She ducked into an alleyway, transformed into Bloody Bug, and took to the rooftops. She hovered above the ground with her skates as she surveyed the area. The entire city had been transformed into an icy wonderland with everything turned to ice. She jumped down from the roof when a blur ran past her. She lost her balance but regained it as she faced against an ice-skating villain.

“Who are you? What do you want?”

“I am Frozer and I’m here to ice over your world.”

Bloody Bug pulled out her yo-yo and braced herself as Frozer advanced. She dodged his attack and threw her yo-yo at him. He slapped away the yo-yo when a lasso ensnared him. She furrowed her brow as he was lifted off the ground and dangled from the rooftop.

Bloody Bug looked past him at a girl dressed up in a deep gray-brown cowgirl ensemble with a white shirt with an eagle on it, yellow face bandana that covered only her mouth, white, messy short hair, and yellow cowgirl boots. The cowgirl tied off Frozer and jumped down. The cowgirl tipped her hat to Bloody Bug.

“Howdy, pardner. Name’s Outlaw. I reckon your that famous red bug I’ve been hearing all ‘bout,” Outlaw said in English with an American, southern voice.

Bloody Bug’s face scrunched up in confusion. She opened her mouth, shut it, and held up a finger for Outlaw to wait. She moved over to Frozer, inspected him, before she destroyed his ice skates, and released the Akuma. She caught it, purified it, and released it. The ice that covered Paris evaporated as Frozer reverted to Philippe, the figure skating trainer at the ice rink she was at earlier.

“What happened? Where am I? Why am I tied up?” Philippe asked.

“You were akumatized. What happened?” Bloody Bug asked.

“Huh? Oh, right! Andre Bourgeois was going to shut down my ice rink to build a gym for his wife, Audrey Bourgeois. The only way I could stop him was if I got someone to sign up for my lessons. And, as luck would have it, there were a whole selection of people to ask, but no one wanted to sign up.”

Bloody Bug opened her mouth when she heard Outlaw grumble in English about Audrey Bourgeois and the horrible person she was. She pursed her lips then shook her head before she let Philippe down.

“Head back to the rink, Philippe. I know someone there who might be able to turn things around for you.”

“Really? Who?” Philippe asked.

“Can’t ruin the surprise now. Hurry back.”

Philippe nodded and headed off. Bloody Bug sighed and turned to Outlaw.

“Thanks for the assist, Outlaw. Always happy to see others rise to the call of action,” Bloody Bug said in English.

Outlaw stared blankly at Bloody Bug before her eyes widened. “Wait, you actually speak English? Hell yeah! What did you think? Was I heroic enough?”

“You were amazing. I hope to see more of your heroics, Outlaw.”

Outlaw bounced around happily. “Hell yeah! I don’t get to do shit like this back home. Granted, the ‘real’ heroes take on the baddies. So, I give them a little trouble before I help. I know they hate me, but they also love me.”

“Well, you’re welcome to help as much as you please while you’re here.”

Outlaw whooped and hollered. “You bet I will! This was too much fun not to.”

“I’m glad. As for now, I have to get going. I need to see to something else.”

“Ditto. Later, Bug!”

Bloody Bug and Outlaw parted ways. Bloody Bug headed back to the ice rink, de-transformed, and grabbed a pair of ice skates again. She slipped back into the rink and put on the skates while everyone else checked on each other. She glanced up as Adrien noticed her and started towards her when Philippe returned.

Alix took a deep breath and headed for the rink’s entrance. Chloe, Rose, Adrien, and Luka rushed to check on her. She ignored their fussing and held out her hand. They all stopped and exchanged confused glances.

“Look, I’m helping someone out. I need a partner for a demonstration, the rink cleared, and as many people to record this as possible. So, who wants to suffer my company for this?”

Chloe, Rose, Adrien, and Luka exchanged glances before they each reached to grab Alix’s hand. Adrien got to Alix’s hand first and she held it fast. She guided him to the middle of the rink while everyone else emptied it and sat on the sidelines to watch. She ignored everyone else and searched for Philippe, who stood near the exit and watched with bated breath.

“So, what’s really going on?” Adrien whispered.

“That man was akumatized. The mayor threatened to take away the ice rink if he couldn’t get someone to sign up for his classes. When he couldn’t, well, you know.”

“Oh! I get it. So, we’re putting on a demonstration to get people to sign up, right? But how are we going to do that when we aren’t figure skaters?”

Alix grinned and led Adrien around the rink. She gave herself a couple warmup laps to readjust and refamiliarize herself. She took a deep breath and led Adrien through a basic couple figure skating routine with simple twists, spins, and lifts.

“Woah, Alix, I didn’t realize you knew how to skate like this. I mean, I knew you could skate, but isn’t ice skating something entirely different?” Adrien asked.

“It is, but I had the best coach. My mom.”

“Wait, really?”

“Yeah. She’s a big reason I started skating, and why I stopped ice skating.”

“What happened?”

Alix took a deep breath. “We used to come to this rink and she’d just skate. I often watched her skate her worries and problems away. I watched the ice listen to her unspoken words and everything melted away. I loved seeing it all vanish and the moment she became one with the ice. She was incredible.”

Adrien giggled. “I see why you always tend to skate when you’re angry or bothered.”

“Yeah, I guess so. But I took more to roller skating than ice skating, but I still learned for her. For that chance to experience what she did on the ice. To move as she did, let everything fade away, and for there to nothing except you and the ice. I admit, I have that with roller skating. But being back on the ice, something feels… different. Bittersweet.”

“Well, why did you stop ice skating?”

“When her health started to decline, and she couldn’t skate. I kept it up because I loved doing it and she loved to watch me. She got Philippe to keep my lessons, but we stopped that because it wasn’t the same for me. It wasn’t her that was teaching me. When her health plummeted and she could go anywhere, I stopped ice skating and just stuck with roller skating.”

“Did you miss this?”

Alix considered. She blocked out the murmurs that buzzed in the rink and focused on everything else. The silence filled with the scraping of skates on ice, the chill that rushed around her but never got to her, and the serenity and peace she felt rising within her being on skates. Tears fell from her eyes.

“I did. I really did. I loved this, but I let her death stop me.”

Adrien squeezed Alix’s hand. “It wasn’t her death. You were just grieving, Alix. She meant the world to you, and she still does. But I think the greatest way you can honor her memory is to reclaim what you loved. Starting with this. Show me the bliss of the ice you both shared.”

Adrien let go of Alix and skated to the entrance of the rink. He gave her a thumbs up while he remained on the ice. She took a deep breath and stared up at the ceiling. Silence fell over her audience as they waited for her.

“Tikki, Ziggy, get in the hoodie pocket,” Alix murmured.

Alix felt Tikki and Ziggy move through her into the pocket. She shook off the sensation as she tore off her hoodie. She shuddered at the cold that nipped and wrapped around her bare arms and right shoulder. She took a step, then another as she skated up to Adrien and tossed him her hoodie and cap. They shared a look and a nod before she turned back to the rink.

Alix took a deep breath as she skated forward. She started with simple spins and jumps before she took off around the rink like she was in a roller rink. She felt the rush of the cold as she raced around that ebbed away as she moved into elegant twirls and risky jumps. The cold disappeared and she closed her eyes, losing herself to the world she lost once again.

Alix felt a peace she hadn’t felt since her mother fell ill. A peace that she couldn’t achieve with her roller skating, which only eased her anger. Here on the ice, there was stillness. She found the ice listened to her and melted away her problems, just as it did for her mother. She smiled and let the tears flow as she gave herself to the ice.

Adrien watched in awe with everyone else as Alix put on an amazing display of figure skating. He saw a few people rush to Philippe to sign up for classes with Chloe amongst them. He was happy it worked, but he was happier for Alix. She felt calmer, happier, at ease. Even as he saw her cry, he wasn’t worried. She was at peace.

Alix brought her skating to an end and rejoined Adrien by the entrance. She stood still until she hugged him. He returned the hug and held her close.

“You were amazing, sis.”

“Thanks, bro. That felt… that felt great.”

“Wanna ditch and get ice cream?”

Alix snorted and laughed. “Alright, let’s go.”

Bethany's Bizarre Miraculous Halloween Special

Ah, October 15th. The midway point of October, a good time for me to post my Miraculous Halloween Special idea. This is honestly pretty independent from both my Rewrite and Shift Season, because chronologically it takes in late season 3, which I determined to be in Spring 2016, but this takes place in October. So yeah. Not really canon, but fun!

The akuma plot is pretty simple. It's Halloween in Miraculous Paris, but Grandpa Rolland is pissed that an American holiday is invading France. Hawkmoth akumatizes him into the Gargoyle, Ladybug and Chat Noir fight him, you know how it goes. What really matters is the civilian plot, and what everyone is going as:

Marinette, Alya, and Nino are all going together and Chaperoning their little siblings or Manon, in Marinette's case:

Alya is Ladybug while Marinette is Chat Noir. This was Alya's idea.

Nino is Jason Voorhees.

Manon is also Ladybug, while Ella and Etta are both Rena Rouge (one of them is supposedly an illusion, I'm not sure which one,) and Chris is Carapace.

Chloe and Sabrina are also going trick-or-treating going to a secret exclusive Halloween party. Chloe is Zelda while Sabrina is Link.

Adrien somehow convinced Nathalie (who's dressed as a witch,) and Tomoe to let him and Kagami go trick-or-treating together with the Gorilla as a chaperone. Adrien is Shinji Ikari, Kagami is Utena Tenjo, and the Gorilla is EVA Unit-01.

Ivan and Mylene are also going together alongside Ivan's little sister. The three are going as Sulley, Mike, and Boo from Monsters Inc. respectively. (Thanks to msweebyness for the idea, btw!)

Rose and Juleka are going as well, chaperoning Rose's four little goblin brothers (headcanoned characters):

Rose is Ladybug (she couldn't get Juleka to be Chat Noir.)

Juleka is Killer Queen (she couldn't get Rose to be Kira Yoshikage.)

The triplet brothers are the three little pigs, while the fourth youngest brother is the big bad wolf.

Although she's not coming with them, Rose's bratty younger sister (also headcanoned) is also trick-or-treating with her boyfriend, going as Peach and Mario respectively.

Nathmarc are also going, with Nathaniel's first cousins once removed niblings (even more headcanoned characters):

Marc is going as Kyoya Otori and managed to rope Nathaniel into being Tamaki Suoh.

Nath's niece is dressed as a goat, while Nath's nephew is dressed as a chicken.

Not everyone in the class is trick-or-treating, however. Many of them are going to the school's Halloween party:

Max is dressed as Markov, while Markov is dressed as Max.

Kim is a basic sheet ghost while Ondine is a mermaid.

Alix decided to go as the scariest thing she knows: Chloe. Chloe, when she comes to the party because she's done trick-or-treating Sabrina got tired of the secret exclusive party, is not amused.

Principal Damocles is the Owl (Hoo Hoo!), Ms. Mendeleiev is the Bubonic Plague, and Ms. Bustier is inexplicably a succubus.

Most of the students are going to the party after trick-or-treating. Aurore and Mirelle are some of these students. Aurore is Hurricane while Mirelle is Snowflake (both United Heroez.)

Lila unfortunately didn't have time to dress up because she was too busy planning the downfall of her enemies and living multiple lives helping out with all her charities.

As for adults giving away candy on Halloween:

Tom is in a gorilla suit while Sabine is a nurse.

Marlena is out working this Halloween, so Otis is handing out treats dressed as a Leopard.

Andre is giving out large candy bars to the kids that trick-or-treat there. His wife wouldn't let him dress up, though.

Luka (dressed as Josuke Hishagikata,) is handing out candies on the Liberty. Anarka is dressed as Lisa Lisa.

Max's mom is dressed as an astronaut.

Mylene's dad is dressed as the mime from his performance.

Roger's busy with his job, so he left out a bowl of candy that tells you it's your civil duty to take one and only one candy.

The Agreste Mansion isn't giving out candy, unfortunately. Gabriel doesn't like the holiday.
