I genuinely cringe SO hard when I see that 16personalities “-A” and “-T” shit. (It’s not even mbti) Like it is a genuine pet peeve. I’m beginning to feel that way about enneagram wings, too, but eh, I feel like wings have more merit. 16p just slapped on a big5 trait onto their glorified big5 test, so now people who don’t know about functions think that the difference between an ENTJ-T and an ENTP-T is one letter. It’s actually, like, A LOT. ENTJ’s use the cognitive functions Te, Ni, Se and Fi. ENTP’s use the cognitive functions Ne, Ti, Fe and Si. Very different. And, like, I don’t wanna go into these people inboxes like “erm ackshully, this this and this” because A) they probably don’t care, and that’s fine. B) they might find it rude, for whatever reason. People don’t like being corrected… I don’t think. C) Ignorantly people who double down just aggravate me more.

It’s not that I don’t see any merit in letter typing. I see where it’s coming from, I just can’t stand 16p, specifically.

INTJ : The calm and affirmative

INTJs have this annoyingly calm demeanor that perceives everything will be alright. A plan fails? It's a learning experience.

You did not achieve your goal? It's still part of the stepping stone towards better progress.

You overlooked the details? Then it will be considered the next time. Do we think we're better than you? Hardly! INTJs are just competent and we trust completely in our skills and intellect.

Do we want to be better than everyone else? Well, we can't really lie about that category however it barely scratches the surface of our sense of purpose, integrity, and philosophy...

If we think we have things, actions, habits, etc. to improve for necessary means--as we see fit, we simply will. Keep an intj close and earn their trust... and you'll surely find yourself a valuable piece to their grand schemes in life. Per se, INTJs believe in equal exchange... trust that you won't be empty handed in any bargain.

I've started working on a detailed essay about the compatibility of INTPs and ISFPs, using Ty and Kit as examples. The essay explores how their relationship allows room for growth and healing while also addressing the struggles and potential conflicts they might face in their everyday lives. It delves into the impact they've had -and can continue to have- on each other's lives, both positively and negatively. My obsession with MBTI and KitTy is definitely fueling this project.

Also, just to be clear: I’m not open to debates about their types. Ty is an INTP, and Kit is an ISFP. End of discussion. If I see one more person claiming Ty is a Sensor or Judger instead of an Intuitive Perceiver, or that Kit is a Thinker or Extrovert, I might lose it. That said, if you're curious, I’m happy to explain my reasoning. But my opinion on this is final.

what Ni is NOT

a lot of people in the community get Ni wrong. and i totally get that because Ni is often talked about in a super vague, weirdly prophetic light. which it is NOT.

Ni does NOT mean you can’t make connections between ideas

Ni does NOT mean you only see one truth

Ni is NOT a predictive function

all Ni is, is intuition as it makes sense to you personally. Ne, looks at the outside data and expands on that, Ni looks at the outside data and puts it in their internal framework. that’s the only difference. that Ni is personal and Ne is less personal when dealing with the abstract.

the combination of Se and Ni can come across as Ne because the user takes the tangible details and then subconsciously adds them to their mental framework. the way i personally decide between Ne and Ni is often based on this, idea. that Ni tends to be a more subconscious process, often with the user struggling to explain where the conclusion came from. Ne tends to be an obvious process. i have never once had to question where an Ne user got their idea from, because they often talk through their process unknowingly.

but just because you can’t fully understand it does NOT make Ni a sort of prophetic function. never was and never will be. it’s just the process of boiling physical things into concepts and adding said concepts to a mental framework that only makes sense to that specific person.
