How to get the perfect summer tan
If there is one thing I love, it's tanning. Spending hours by the pool, sipping fun cocktails, listening to music, and gossiping with friends?? AMAZING. Here are some of my tips for the PERFECT gold summer tan <33
The schedule:
Tan with a timer!!
Tan front - 15 mins
Tan Back - 15 mins
Tan from - 10 mins
tan back - 10 mins
Go in the water for a while. I usually go in the pool, but ocean water is better(I don't know why lol)!!
HYDRATE
Reapply tanning oil/sunscreen (products listed below <3)
Tan front - 15 mins
Tan Back - 15 mins
Tan from - 10 mins
tan back - 10 mins
Go on the water again and have a drink.
Repeat however many times you want
Products:
Im a Hawaiian tropic girl through and through (please sponsor me), but any recommendations are very welcome!! :)
For tanning:
Hawaiian Tropic Satin Protection Sun Lotion SPF 30
Hawaiian Tropic Protective Dry Spray Oil SPF 8
Hawaiian Tropic Tropical Tanning Oil Dark
After Tanning:
Baby oil (apply on wet skin!!)
Hawaiian Tropic Aftersun Body Butter Exotic Coconut
Victoria's Secret Body Lotion Vanilla
Face:
La Roche Posay SPF 50
Caudalie Sun Protection SPF 50+
Whatever hydrating sheet mask you have lol <33
My current tanning playlist:
Extra tips:
Take proper care of your skin!! Make sure to always use moisturiser and reapply your sunscreen!!
If you don't have tanning oil, you can also use coconut oil, I used it for years, and it works fine.. make sure to use sunscreen tho!!
If you want your tan to look more golden, EAT CARROTS.
Like a lot of carrots, not joking.
Shower every evening!! Especially if you use sunscreen and/or tanning oils <3
Reapply sunscreen after going into the water!!
Check the UV!! 5-6 if you're really just starting, 6-10 during summer <33
Reminder: These are just MY tips; if you disagree, that's okay. Also, Im Spanish, Tan very easily and rarely get sunburned; depending on your skin, this may or may not work for you!! :)
And as always, please feel free to share your own tips in the comments so we can all get the best summer glow together!! <33

i also have pmdd and my acne made me so unhappy for like. a decade. i’m so sorry you’re going through it :( i don’t know if advice is what you want (apologies if it’s not!!!) but the only thing that finally helped my hormonal acne was benzoyl peroxide! i tried every acne remedy under the sun for sooo long and everything would work for like 3 days and then stop working. i started using the cerave foaming acne face wash and the la roche posay effeclar duo as a serum and then following it up w a normal moisturizer (don’t use anything with salicylic acid!! it’ll react badly!!). i used to use like 13 skin products to try to clear my acne and now i just use those three ! my breakouts are literally gone. i’ll get like one cystic pimple a month around the same time i used to have huge painful flare ups. obviously not everyone’s skin is the same and if this ask offends you im sorry ! i just thought i would share what helped me bc especially in college when my skin was at its worst… it was the fucking trenches. wishing clearer skin and/or skin neutrality for you bc acne SUCKS and living with it as an adult is so hard.
omg yes to benzoyl peroxide- it's definitely the only thing that's been helpful for my acne. thanks for the recs i'll check them out! i swear i've been through so many skin products though it's like not even funny so no im so grateful you've found a routine that works for you! big relate to dealing with acne as an adult it truly is the worst
#ive actually been meaning to check out the la roche posay duo for a while now#maybe ill finally buy it#why must good acne products be so expensive ahhhhh#anon#answered

Sun-Kissed Simplicity: Discovering Glow with D-Bronzi Drops
Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops
by Marcio "MZA"
We put the Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops to the test after receiving a complimentary sample from the brand. Keep reading for our full product review.
Most of the time, when I try to create the look of an effortless, sun-kissed glow, it definitely takes significant effort: plenty of skin prep, a luminous primer, radiant foundation, and a good mix of bronzer and highlighter. When I learned about the Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops—a liquid luminizer that creates a bronzed look while promoting overall skin health—I wanted to know if it could work for me. After testing the drops out for a couple of weeks, I was pretty impressed with how they enhanced my complexion, but are they my new favorite? Read on for my full review of the D-Bronzi drops to decide if it's something you want to check out for yourself.
FAST FACTS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DRUNK ELEPHANT D-BRONZI ANTI-POLLUTION SUNSHINE DROPS
BEST FOR: Anyone who prefers their skin to have a subtle, sun-kissed glow.
USES: A liquid luminizer that creates a bronzed, radiant finish in tandem with other skincare and makeup products while also protecting skin from environmental factors and supporting barrier health.
HERO INGREDIENTS: Marula oil, blackcurrant seed oil, vitamin F, cocoa extract, peptides
POTENTIAL ALLERGENS: Ceteareth-20, chlorphenesin, phenoxyethanol
By on AMAZON $39
SHADE RANGE: One shade
ABOUT THE BRAND: After identifying six ingredients that irritated her skin, Drunk Elephant founder Tiffany Masterson decided to make her skincare herself. With products formulated with effective natural and synthetic ingredients, Drunk Elephant focuses on supporting the skin’s natural pH levels and uses ingredients that benefit overall skin health.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About My Skin: Sensitive and combination
With combination skin on the sensitive side, I gravitate towards products that are lightweight, non-comedogenic, and give my skin a radiant look. I'm currently going through a major minimalist makeup phase, so I don’t wear much of it day-to-day. When I go out, I like wearing foundations with sheer to medium coverage or a liquid product that gives my skin a natural glow. I often reach for the e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter and the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation—though they’re at opposite ends of the spectrum price-wise, they give my skin a fresh, radiant look that I love without accentuating the oilier parts of my face.
How to Apply: Shake before use and add to your product of choice
The Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Drops have a fairly unique application method—instead of applying them on their own, the brand suggests mixing them in with your item of choice. Shake the product and apply a drop or more to your go-to oil, serum, or cream before applying it to your face, arms, chest, legs, or anywhere else you’d like to add a touch of sun-kissed depth. After washing my face, I decided to mix the drops in with my La-Roche Posay Toleriane Sensitive Fluide Moisturizer and see how the product wore on my skin.
The Results: Fresh skin with a sunny glow
Considering that I can never get enough of a sun-kissed glow, I really liked Drunk Elephant's D-Bronzi Drops. More than a liquid bronzing product, the drops are intentionally formulated to enhance and protect the skin. Blackcurrant seed oil, vitamin F, and marula oil (the brand’s star ingredient, included in a number of its products) provide the skin’s barrier with additional support, and a curated mix of antioxidants gives the skin extra protection against pollution and environmental stressors.
Each day I tested it, I mixed two to three drops of the D-Bronzi drops with my moisturizer. Once my skin absorbed the product, I had a healthy, radiant glow with a subtle tint. The product was very lightweight and comfortable, so I tried adding a few more drops to my moisturizer to see if my skin would look more bronzed, but it didn't change the finish much. I think a few more flexible shades could make a huge difference in how it wears on complexions like mine and richer.
For fuller coverage looks, I prefer to look more bronzed and luminous, but D-Bronzi came in clutch a few times when I was rushing to get ready. Mixing it with my moisturizer and adding a few finishing touches with brows, concealer, and blush was all I needed to have a put-together beauty look that could last all day.
The Value: Expensive, but potentially worth it
For $38 per 1-oz. bottle, the Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Drops are a bit pricey, but I don’t think they're priced any differently than similar products from other prestige brands. Depending on how much you use per application, you may run through the bottle quickly, or it could last you a decent amount of time. If you find that you like the subtle sun-kissed finish this product creates and a little goes a long way when mixed with your products of choice, it could be well worth the investment.
Similar Products: You've got options
Kosas Glow I.V. Vitamin-Infused Skin Enhancer: Available in 10 flexible shades, the Kosas Glow I.V. Vitamin-Infused Skin Enhancer ($38) instantly gives skin a reflective, luminous glow. Hydrating, brightening, and nourishing, Glow I.V. is great for anyone looking for a glow that’s more intense than D-Bronzi.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter Complexion Booster: Affordable and impactful, the e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter Complexion Booster ($14) gives skin a soft, radiant glow. Coming in eight shades, this option is ideal for someone who prefers more coverage than D-Bronzi.
CONCLUSION
Drunk Elephant’s D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops save the day when I’m doing my makeup and I’m pressed for time. While an increased shade range would allow it to fit a wider audience, this product gives my skin a subtle, healthy glow and is ideal for creating a simple, minimalist makeup look.

What do u mean by you use French skincare? No hate intended xx I’m in France rn and would like to be able to recognise French products. Also what about the products made you attracted to them?
AH! I love this question, no offense taken at all. It isn't so much that it's better than anyone else's; it's just more of what I prefer, I guess? I find that french skincare is better quality, but I know some people say the same about Korean Skincare, and I have no argument! It's also great!
Now, I can't actually recommend any skincare without knowing your skin type or your preferences, but my favorite French brand is L'Occitane, or for a cheaper brand La Roche-Posay is also really really great!
I will also list a few products that are my favorite from each, but please remember to check your ingredients, and what you are looking for from each! My skin is not yours and you could have reactions to things that I do not!
L'Occitane:
Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm -Great for gently removing makeup, something I think we all need to be more aware of- Cleansing wipes are so rough on your skin, it's crazy!
Shea Light Comforting Face Cream - I would actually recommend checking out their other moisturizers if you have dry skin, but this one is actually light enough for me to use, while still being deeply moisturizing, not my favorite one, but nice, none the less.
Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream - Not at all for the face, but I cannot talk about this brand without bringing up my favorite body moisturizer. Some people prefer their almond one, but this is a holy grail product for me. Also it Layers perfectly with their perfumes, which I am not mentioning here, but are amazing.
La Roche-Posay:
Toleriane Purifying Foaming Face Wash - Another holy grail product. It is fantastic. If you have dryer skin, they have an option for you as well, but this facewash is what I recommend to ANYONE with stubborn acne, or oily skin, specifically if, like me, they have sensitive skin as well! It's also a steal, 13.5oz for less than twenty bucks, this stuff is awesome!
Toleriane Double Repair Facial Moisturizer With SPF - Look me in the eyes when I say this. You need sunscreen. Idgaf if you're a hermit who never leaves your house or if you live on the beach- you need sunscreen. Not only is it good for your skin, keeping you younger longer, but it also helps prevent literal cancer, wear sunscreen. This one is great because it's not too heavy- you'll notice that with most of my picks, for my face anyway haha.
Nutritic Lip Balm - To be clear... no one needs this! It's like so expensive for a lip balm! But if you're a lip balm addict like me, it's good to have haha.
Thank you so much actually! I love getting a chance to talk about the products I love, and you've given me a great excuse! Ask anytime haha.

Hey 👋🏻 I hope your having a good day and that life is working in your favour.
So I have a out of left field question to asks you. What face sunscreen do you use? Or do you have any recommendations?
okay but I could talk about skincare all day! As an aussie I have an absolute love of sunscreen and have tried so many. Sunscreen is super important even when its cloudy and you should be using the recommended amount per body area!! Also do regular skin checks! I've had 3 Melanoma moles removed so please check your skin regularly!!
My daily face sunscreen is Ultra Violette Clean Screen SPF 30 Fragrance Free, my only complaint is it only comes in SPF 30, The one that is SPF 50 has fragrance in it and it irritates my skin. the Ultra Violette sits super nicely under makeup and if you use this one you don't need a primer.
I also love Cancer Council SPF 50+ Day Wear Face Matte Invisible 4hr Water Resistant, this one doesn't sit well under makeup so I use this one for non-makeup days, beach days etc.
And I also like La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid Facial Sunscreen SPF 50+ but I have not used this one in summer!
And then on my body I use La Roche Posay wet skin SPF 50+ which is a little pricey for sunscreen but I do swear by it.
If you are an Aussie/Kiwi do not by the mecca brand sunscreen both the face and body one, both times I've used their SPF50+ I got the worst sunburns of my life, I hate it 0/10.

Mission: Night-Night. A Self-Care, Heart-Focused Implementation
Hey Friends!
Surely, you’ve just returned home from an exciting day out. You’ve surpassed your steps goal, you are ready to push the reset button while indulging in some self-care and relaxation-I know, I know! I’m feeling the same way.
Let’s talk about this for a bit. Self-care is not only internal work, but there’s a lot of external practices that can reduce our stress levels. I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love the spa. I love getting massages, because I heavily rely on physical touch as one who suffers from anxiety. This therapeutic technique is one I also take home with me to jazz up my skin routine. I take my time removing my make up, applying cleanser, massaging in my moisturizer-I really bring the spa to my bathroom! This is my time to really love on myself. Looking in the mirror, saying positive things to my reflection, declaring peaceful rest, praying over my home, etc.
Heart Tip:
When you manage your stress, you are taking control of your mental health. You are managing your well-being and this, my friend is how you reduce your risk of heart disease! Sometimes, we don’t know we’re under stress until our body alerts us in the most alarming way. Stress can come in forms of headaches/migraines, back pain, tummy aches. Stress can also reflect in our mood and even in the way we communicate to others. Listen to your body and the words that you speak. How are YOU responding?
Be STRESS FREE in 2023! ❤️

hi i was wondering if you had any skincare product reccomendations, i've never done skincare before and i don't really know where to start. i know i have sensitive and relatively dry skin.
i have a suncream that has spf 50+ which i think is good but do i need a specific one for my face? i apologise for all the questions but any advice would be amazing!
thank you!
💛
Hi darling!
Skincare is a tricky thing, because everybody's skin is different and as such has different needs. What works for one person may not work for another.
Firstly, you should start with my top skincare tips post so you understand the basics, function of ingredients, and which products are essential or not. You can also check out my skincare tag if you're interested in additional reading.
That being said, here are the basics from my routine and what currently works for me:
Morning routine:
Vitamin C serum: La Roche Posay - Vit C10 This helps brighten complexion, softens skin and helps to fade any blemishes, scars, etc. Pro tip: keep your Vit C serum in the fridge, Vit C tends to oxidize and turn orange with time, even if i doesn't affect its efficiency.
Sunscreen: La Roche Posay - Anthelios for Face SPF50 This is what I've been using for 2 years now, it's popular for good reason. Although I will say they recently changed the formula from completely dry to a little oily, and I prefer the former.
Night routine:
Cleanser: CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser This is a chemical exfoliant (with Salicylic Acid) which is great for acne or break-out prone skin, to be used 2-3 times a week. For daily use I recommend CeraVe's classic cleanser, the Hydrating Cleanser.
Moisturizer: Bioderma - Hydrabio Riche Gentle, moisturizing, rich but not greasy. I always go back to this. (It's for dry skin, but if other readers have oily skin, try the Hydrabio Legere version instead.)
Skin-barrier repair (optional): La Roche Posay - Cicaplast Baume B5 This is a holy grail if you have damaged skin from using too many products, exfoliants, sunburn, etc. It's very gentle and soothing, and really does improve skin overnight. You can use it for face, body, even lips, but for that I prefer the product below.
Skin-barrier repair for lips (optional): La Roche Posay - Cicaplast Baume for Lips This is my go-to for intense hydration and repair (ie. chapped lips, wore drying lipstick all day, etc). Leave it on overnight and you'll wake up with smooth, plush lips ready for the day.
Retinol: The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane, CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum, La Roche Posay - Effaclar Adapalene 0.1% Topical Retinoid Retinol essentially regenerates your skin, helps with fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, etc. I'm still looking for the best retinol product, but I would recommend either of the above, all of which are direct recommendations I've found by dermatologists via Youtube or IG.
Conclusions
The only essentials you need are: cleanser, sunscreen, moisturizer. Everything else helps, but isn't necessary.
If you choose to add new products to your skincare routine, always add 1 at a time. That way you'll know which one is or isn't working for you.
Create the skincare routine that works for you. Don't go running after trends and trying out a hundred different things. Only test 1 product at a time, and when something works for you, keep it in your routine.
If you can afford it, reach out to a dermatologist to recommend products that are tailored to your needs. Most of the products listed were recommended by my dermatologist for mine.
If that's not an option currently, start following board-certified dermatologists on social media instead of taking advice from random people online as fact. You'll learn so much from their tips, plus it's free! I like watching Dr. Dre and Shereene Idriss, they are both entertaining and educational.
Hope this proves helpful, and let me know how your routine comes together. 💜
-Lumen

Is there a skin care products that you would recommend? Your skin always ooks really lovely and glowing ^_^
Also if someone has chronic nerve pain what kind of foods would you recommend they eat especially for inflammation? Is there a specific diet that you follow that works for you or foods that you find are healing?
Sending love <3
Oh thank you so much 💕 aloe vera is my favorite skincare ingredient, like the green long spiky “leaves” (i dont know what they are actually called) I get at grocery store. I know whole foods, sprouts and vallarta (mexican grocery) have them and they are very cheap. It’s really luxurious. I just massage and rub into my face as often as possible and then wash most of it off. It can work miracles. The ordinary buffet is also one of the best, and la roche posay b5 baume. I use it cosmetics cc cream sometimes too to hide imperfections. I also use a home made mask that i might sell or give away if people want it, but it does help me a lot
If you are having chronic nerve pain, that could be an autoimmune response. I have put together as much information out there that i could find to be helpful for these things in my biohacking / vitality discord server because i get asked this sort of thing quite a bit and i think so many people in our generation, especially women are suffering from these autoimmune inflammation issues. So I really want to at the very least provide some helpful information. Browse the #nutrition and the #autoimmune sections. I know there is a lot of stuff there, but I recommend scrolling to the top and treating it sort of like a book.

Miss Dreea it's random but the skin care enthusiast in me wants to know your skincare routine.
Drop it, plus also tell me about your fav makeup products if you use makeup I will try them.
oh wow. you don't even know if i got good skin or not though 😅 but i do incidentally, i mean it's not the best but i try. and i do happen to be quite a makeup geek.
for my skin care i currently use (after thoroughly removing my makeup) serozinc from la roche posay, i spray it all over (it's a toner) then the advanced snail 96 mucin power essence from cosrx, and then i slug with cicaplast b5 from la roche-posay (i have a bit of rosacea that sometimes flares up and this keeps it in check and my skin absolutely loves it) my skin is normal-mixed with a slightly oily t-zone and sometimes drier patches on my cheeks and this helps me balance it out without worsening any of it. in the morning i just do the snail essence and a bit of the cicaplast on my undereye. i don't wash my face in the morning with anything other than plain water.
honestly i'm never gonna be one of those ppl that go out of their way to use sunscreen. i like a bit of a tan and the skin does need a bit of sun also. if i know i'll be walking around at noon when the sun burns or if i'm going to the beach then yeah, but otherwise i just don't stress it. i've got very youthful looking skin for my 30 years so i must be doing smth right lol
for instance right now my bb cream doesn't even have any spf in it. i use the cica clearning bb cream from purito. and as of late i've been doing really simple eye makeup, just a bit of eyeliner and mascara, i love the milk cream contour and blush sticks. i don't set my makeup and it looks slightly dewy and youthful
i used to have a much more extensive makeup routine when i was younger and i really don't find it necessary anymore. you just gotta find what works for you through trial and error, you don't need to do all the dolling up that usually only looks good on camera, not in person.
having said that, even if i have a simple routine i still love taking me sweet ass time in the morning ahahah i dunno, i can't ever be done in under 30 minutes. oh i heat up my eyelash curler with a blowdrier, shsjkskw stuff like that that added up takes a bit of time 😅

About skin. Do you take really hot showers? That might be one thing. Maybe see if you have rosacea? There's also skin barrier repairing creams that can maybe helpfull. Lot of people like the brand cerave, but I think La Roche-Posay is the better one by far. Also! Maybe just forget everything I've said! Skincare advice on the internet is very dodgy in general. (However, stay the fuck away from "natural" shit. Natural ingredients are much more irritating for skin). And always wear spf
Hello! Yes, I do take really hot showers...and that is probably definitely part of the problem. When I get flare-ups it seems to be after days where I spend a lot of time outside when it’s rather cool/cold and windy, and then I take a really hot shower after, and when I get out my cheeks are flaming.
On someone else’s advice I did use an ice-pack and that made them so much better. Now, several hours later my face is much clearer, but I can still see a hint of redness.
I’ll check out cerave and La roche-posay...I’ve used cetaphil face wash forever, and neutrogena SPF moisturizer, and I think its the moisturizer that isn’t doing it for my skin any longer....that and I should probably lay off the super hot showers (but they feel so good on my sore muscles after a day outside in the cold).
haha, also love your “maybe just forget everything I've said! Skincare advice on the internet is very dodgy” 😂. True...and its overwhelming. I just want something simple and easy, because I’m lazy and can’t be bothered with all these serums and toners and masks and such. Any routine that is more than one or two steps is going to be something I toss at the very first chance.
Anyway, thanks for the tips! I’ll check out those brands.

Look into something called perioral dermatitis, which lots of people have started suffering from and they thinks it’s “maskne” but it’s actually PD!! It’s kinda like a rash and just a mega pain in the ass, think I’ll have to go to a dermatologist for it eventually. Also with the curology, people do often see good results in it often bc of an ingredient called tretinoin which you basically can’t get without a prescription, and it works wondersssss for skin/acne issues. You’d have to get a prescription from a doctor, it’s hella expensive in the US but not in like any other countries, there it’s easy and over the counter?? Idk why, but anyway it’s probs in your curology prescription and your skin gets used to it and then you have to bump up the strength of it, which ranges from .025 to .05 to .1%. So you can get a plain tube of tret if you wanted, or you can talk to your curology person and ask them to bump up the tret strength/prescription for you!!

Anonymous said: Re: skin care recs. I hear ya on the maskne queen. I've been using Paula's Choice exfoliator and spot treatment and had good results, so my advice is to do your research, read what they recommend before buying anything. Also, you can email them and get a whole consultation and see what they recommend based on your skin, for free! I highly recommend them. The prices are good and the products are more clinical-grade compared to most everything else out there.

Anonymous said: Sydney I have combination skin with oily t zone and I used to use a cleanser from a brand called La Roche Posay - the product is the Toleriane Purifying Foaming Face Wash for Oily Skin (blue bottle with a pump) I loved that cleanser!! I also use a moisturizing cream from Cerave it’s just the daily face moisturizer I use that at night and during the day a little bit before sunscreen. Idk how to combat the oiliness because I’m still perfecting my skincare routine but these are a few products I have used that love. And if you’re a sensitive skin gal, they’re perfect! No fragrance or harsh ingredients just simple and good skin care products 🥰 a youtuber called Hyram talks about skincare and which products work for certain skin types you should check him out he’s so sweet and he knows his shit even tho he’s not a dermatologist or esthetician he just researches and uses different products so he knows a lot
