" he asked embarrassedly . because what does it mean to hold him for a while ? he said it in the purest tone of voice . he surely did not mean the way he touched him earlier right ? when they were both covered in each other's sweat and arousal .

his other arm moves to wrap around gale's waist as his body shifts to face the wizard . an evident blush on his cheek , unable to look at gale . ashamed to embarrass that he likes this ... probably more than what they shared earlier .

Gale could not help but be enchanted by the adorable bouts of shyness in the other. When the arrogant and proud facade crumbled, it revealed a man who, in his vulnerability, was just as insecure at times as the rest of them. It was a mirror to Gale’s own moments of doubt and frailty.

With a tender smile, the wizard pressed himself against Rook's side, draping a leg over him as if to envelop him in his warmth.

❝ Exactly like this, ❞ he murmured, his eyes half-closing as his hand rested on the fighter's chest, tracing gentle, soothing circles against his skin.

As Rook turned to face him, Gale could see, even in the dim light of the tent, the blush coloring his cheeks. The sight stirred something playful and protective in Gale, who leaned in to place a delicate kiss on the tip of Rook’s nose. His hand moved from Rook's chest to cup his cheek, thumb tenderly caressing the skin.
