(~60k) this was THE quintessential kanthony modern AU in 2022. kates an artist who sees a picture of anthony on tinder and thinks he looks obnoxious (lol) but screenshots the photo so she can use his arms/hands for sketching practice. and then she see him and his grown ass on a date with her BABY sister. and shes like well i was right about him. and lets him know to his face how she feels (LOL). its wild. it slays. read it. theres an explicit follow up to it which also slays

three cities and we never lived here by ramarro. (~25k, ~40k) very different modern au where kate and anthony meet on vacation and are very casual with them both not looking for anything (genuinely for once lol) and then seeing each other multiple times over 2-3 years in different cities and still keeping it casual. but slowly slowly slowlyyyy it doesnt feel as casual as it used to. theres 2 fics in this. the first is kates pov. the second is anthony. both very good.

The TLDR:

id argue the suit fits Okay as an off-the-rack, especially if he wasn't doing all that moving around.

a bespoke suit (custom-made to the model's measurements) should allow for full range of movement without getting caught or restricted. a Major factor that separates a bespoke suit from a RTW is actually the height of the armhole! would highly recommend this article if it interests you.

soooo why is this suit so appealing to me? why is the fit as erotic as it is confusing?

(this is very subjective once again im no expert. just having fun. i digress.*I think*) the inconsistent fit creates a balance of sophistication and something much more salacious. the single breasted jacket is appropriately seductive; the rise height is youthful, fitting for a guy his age; the double vents look very elegant and move nicely to accentuate his hips as he puts a hand in his pocket.

but then.

his pants are so ridiculously tight that as his hand slides into his pants, it doesn't disappear -as it should- in a show of casual confidence. it just Sits there, right in our line of sight, becoming an extension of all the skin hidden in that area. the fabric becomes translucent over the bulges in his pockets (his phone, his hand) - so tantalizingly close to the center yet the effect doesn't reach far enough to tip the scale from teasing to straight up pornographic. (his ass on the other hand does tip the scale because there is simply no space in his pants for all that LOL) (to add to this, there's the erotics of everything we can't see with his shirt and undergarments but i won't repeat myself)

the lack of attention to detail leads to all these minor inconveniences that are overall uncomfortable (too much shirt fabric, bad fitting pants). the lack of care to acknowledge these problems before wearing the suit publicly then lands you in oscars position: blindsided by Just how much ass you've accidentally put on display. think like... when you unknowingly tuck your skirt into your underwear after peeing. it's. incredibly voyeuristic lol which only furthers the second-hand embarrassment i feel seeing him in a suit that's not fitting right. (and embarrassment is Kinda sexy. so.well)

i always like to ask ppl with inspekchin - how do you think they first met? everyone's got such interesting takes on their early days so im curious what you think!

GRINNING EVILLY. I’ve got a whole like…. possible comic or fic idea thing for their first meeting because thinking about these two pre-godhood makes me feel crazy and ill.

I think they met one another as young adults (Capo was liike 23 while Hector was 27). Hector was still on his own, in the early planning stages when coming up with the Bizzyboys, while Capochin just ran away from a really rough living situation, having been abandoned by literally everyone in his life, and is really Going Through It Miserably. They’re both pretty lonely and isolated guys, so it’s kinda wild how they managed to come across one another back then.

Sooo the scene here, it’s raining pretty bad in a central Drain city with the possibility of flooding occurring. Capochin’s by himself in an alleyway, not exactly passed out but he’s lying against a wall with not an ounce of energy within him. Hector happens to be passing by (the reason? I dunno yet, maybe he’s trying to see if there’s anyone he could help out in this storm) and spots Capochin. He freaks out a bit at first, like “Oh my god is that a dead body…..”, and goes over to Capochin trying to see if he could do anything to help him out. It takes Capo a while to actually acknowledge Hector’s presence, they chat a bit, and they relate to one another a bit, being two lonely guys who feel like outcasts in the Drain (Capochin believing that no matter what he does, there’s no way he could truly fit in among other Drainfolk due to many of his own personal self-doubts and issues, and Hector also feeling similarly, but viewing that more as him being special and needing to prove to everyone that he’s worthy enough of that type of thing, among a number of other things).

Hector then offers to take Capochin in to help him out, since Capochin doesn’t seem to have anywhere he can go at the moment. While Capo’s kind of an asshole to Hector at first, he understands deep down that this is a chance for him to actually improve his own life. This tall, weirdly friendly guy, who somewhat understands what he’s going through is opening a door for that improvement. Also if he stayed out there in the alley for any longer there’s a non-zero chance he could get swept up in a storm and straight up die.

So now Capochin is in Hector’s apartment and is being taken care of. Hector’s apartment isn’t anything too fancy, but to Capo it already feels much more livable compared to his past home, even if it was larger and technically more impressive. Once it all really sets in for Capo he feels extremely confused but unbelievably lucky about the whole thing lmao. Like wow, somehow someway he managed to have his life saved by this complete stranger. Was this a smart idea? Who knows (lol) who knows, but at the moment he feels real fuckin fortunate.

Soooo yea after a few months, the two of them are practically inseparable now and are roommates! Yay! I hope nothing bad happens to these guys!

so my final thoughts:

for a series finale it wasn't bad by any means. it was the right amount of introspective. of somewhat hopeful. but at the same it felt very idk. not shallow. but it fell flat from what could have been (if the testaments were never written and if the show didn't hate women).

i think elisabeth moss did mostly do a good job heading the two ending episodes. i was desperately afraid she was going to have nick live. but she came through in that regard.

but i also think man what a fucking waste of talent in that final episode. fuck all stuff between june and moira. more could have been shown of rita. of janine. and i think they went full coward about the main relationship of the show, in the end. which is the hugest L. it didnt even need to be romantic. but whatever. they needed to setup everything properly for the testaments (throws up in my mouth)

HOW HE FITS IN THE STORY:

so before Logan moved to minnesota he was living in Texas and got casually picked on. When the boys move to LA one of the kids who was kinda mean to Logan moves to the palm woods a few months into btr being there. His name is Elijah. The boys are super protective of Logan when he tells them where he recognizes Elijah from.

Logan goes to talk to him just to break the ice and it turns out Elijah is really chill now. Logan never really held any ill will towards him cause they were hella young, but even so Elijah is really apologetic. Logan appreciates it, but the guys aren't having it. Logan and Elijah actually get a long quite well and hang out/bond more often. so now the guys feel protectiveness and jealousy cause who the fuck does this guy think he is? When they "warn" him that Elijah is bad news cause of what he did before Logans is like "we were seven??? its not that deep guys" and also "don't be unfair cause y'all used to pick on me too."

As the guys notice Elijah knows a lot about Logan because of their history and has common interests like space and medical things they're like "OH MY GOD WE'RE GETTING REPLACED!!"/"HOW DOES HE KNOW THINGS WE DON'T KNOW!" The breaking point is when Logan calls Elijah "Eli". "OH GOD THEY'RE ON NICKNAME BASIS" meanwhile, Elijah has been nothing but a sweetheart to everybody since he's moved in lol.

At first Logan is really annoyed with he guys for kinda being jerks to Elijah but when he realizes what's happening/why theyre acting the way he's kinda almost touched. He reassures them nobody could ever replace them and that that's the stupidest thing they could ever worry about.

There is still a little part of them that are worried and jealous and a lil insecure, but then Katie helps them realize that no Elijah isn't going to take their spot as best friend because PLOT TWIST Logan had developed a crush on Elijah. Once they realize that they're like "OH THANK GOD OKAY HE'S LIKE GAY OR BI OR SOMETHING. THATS SO MUCH BETTER." and then they start being nice to Elijah.

They each bond with him over different stuff. HE bonds with Kendall over having a little sister. he bonds with James over self care shit and mommy issues. Carlos he bonds with over being Dominican.

I didn't get into his personally or anything in this, but I just wanted to say how he would fit into the story when I imagine him in my mind palace lol

so i am a LATE fan to the mha fandom, i heard of the anime in like ? 2020 but i actually didn’t start watching anime myself until 2023 LOL. anyways- i think started watching the anime in like june/july of 2024? so i watched the last few episodes of season 7 as they aired. i immediately jumped into the fandom bc i needed MORE so i did what every sane person does and i watched edits, followed fan pages & YES i flew to ao3 bc i am not a stranger to fanfiction lol. the first mha fanfic i read was actually called In Medias Res by whileyouresleeping- (i adore this fic so much! its bkdk as an established relationship but turns into a bkdktd fic and it’s so beautifully written!) so the more i got into the fandom i saw a repeating trend with from the sidelines.. some ppl hated it, others loved it, it was talked about as THE bkdk fanfic so i was like ok i’ll give it a whirl, what the worst that could happen? RIP. so yeah i read ten fic late November (bc i remember reading at the dinner table during thanksgiving lol) and ha. this fic uprooted my fucking life. so here’s what i need to get off my chest before i scream:

1. i’ve been reading fanfiction since i was maybe 11 years old and yes i read sex scenes and YES i read MM or FF sex scenes. bro i promise the ppl who are mad about a FAN WRITTEN piece of literature featuring high schoolers based of FICTIONAL characters need to relax. the fic is tagged as smut so really what the hell else is the author supposed to do to “protect” readers? like bro just don’t read it if you don’t like what’s in the tags ??? the hate the author gets is soooo unnecessary like yeah i get it they are in high school in the fic but um.. real life high schoolers have sex i’m sorry to tell yall

2. SHE (the author) WAS LIKE 16 WHEN SHE WROTE THAT!!?!?!?!? 404k WORDS?!?!? ARE YALL MISSING THAT!?!? I CANT WRAP MY HEAD AROUNF THAT!!!!! its so beautifully written like seriously, for a CHILD to write something so well written that’s mind blowing. she is so underrated as a writer. you can SEE THE SCENES so clearly, i FELT the emotions, that angst tag nearly killed me cause OOOOOOO there was times i had to sit my phone down and walk around because i felt physically ill LMAO (sry i’m dramatic but yes it did happen) so like yeah the hatred the author gets is the worst, bc her work was an actual masterpiece

This version of dreamtale is where Nightmare did get beat up when he was nine , but when someone was sick in the village, he gave them the negative apple because, for some reason, the positive apples didn't work,and somehow the negative apple heal the sick villager. The villagers realized maybe he isn't a bad guy after all??? Of course some people think he is still bad, but now he doesn't get bullied so much like before. People well call him names or threaten him but don't touch him since he's the village favorite which his brother Dream too

Ink is still a protector and goes around helping aus. He found dreamtale while he was in the doodle sphere. He noticed something that wasn't supposed to be there, which was dreamtale. The page was glitching a lot. He decided to go and investigate it.

- soda is gobber, he’s really just looking out for their people, serves largely as a conduit between darry and pony, he sees most of their frustrations towards the other and tries to push the idea that they both honestly want the same thing

- for the sake of everyone i’m gonna stick with those 3 for the time being bc the rest of the cast is kinda tricky to figure out

- the scene after the vikings capture toothless is the equivalent of darry slapping pony and the scene where stoick rescues toothless from the sea is the equivalent of soda’s breakdown/the dinner scene in the musical

- hiccup doing really well in dragon training and also being gone all the time to train toothless mirrors pony being at school and track and the movies and living in his own separate but parallel world

- stoick always being away trying to find the dragon’s nest is just like darry always having to work and make ends meet but not having time to really take care of his brothers

It struck him as odd, no one messaged him outside of missions or routine checkups. As Keith takes another bite of his sandwich, or as close as you could get to one in space, he realises it had probably been around two months since he had chatted with anyone with the conversation not being related to rescue work or bringing aid. He had been busy helping with rebuilding and piloting resources to and from places, and hadn't felt the need to message anyone seeing as any emergencies were always reported to everyone on the team. If anyone had been in danger, he would've known.

The pad beeps at him again as another message patches through.

lance. 12:09pm: helloooo, earth to keith!! i know u arent on a mission shiro told me ur schedule

Keith sets his sandwich off to the side and opens the messaging app, typing out a quick response.

Keith had it typed out and sent before he could think, before he could rationalize with his brain and say no. It hits him that he'll need a month or two off, a ship to get back to Earth, and that he'll be leaving the Blades with one less solider.

Their conversation is stilted, and a part of him worries it's been too long; that the bond they once had was gone.

Keith pulls open the passenger seat door, smirking up at Lance as an idea pops into his head.

"I call the aux."

And from there he quickly hops into the car, closing the door, and beginning to grab the charger cord to connect his phone.

Lance gasps dramatically as he opens his door and jumps in. "Uh, no you don't! I'm driving, so I get the aux."

They start bickering, both grabbing at the phone cord as they argue, and everything clicks back into place. It doesn't matter how much time they spend apart, if there's one thing they're good at, it's finding a way to fight over anything and everything.

By the end, Lance has won and Keith grumbles as Kesha blasts over the speakers.

"I can't believe you actually like this song unironically."

"You're just salty because I won't let you play My Chemical Romance or something."

Keith's head swivels around accusingly, voice sharp as he leans over. "I was not going to play that."

"Whatever you say Keithy."

The nickname has him flushing, and Keith turns back towards the window with a huff. Outside, the sunlight is rippling over the hot desert and warping the ground. It was fascinating, and something he had always loved watching. The sun was rising slowly, and he knew the heat would only continue to amp up as the day went on. He settles his head into his palm and watches as the scenery flies by.

It was a crashing wave of love and emotion, gripping the collar of his shirt desperately. Like if he let go, Lance would disappear. One thing about Lance is that he always finds a way to shock Keith. Either with his bravery or his ability to be positive in any situation. Or even the small things, like the fact he could play Keith's favourite song on the guitar. He was always shocking Keith with every new piece of information he told him. After a certain point of knowing someone you think the novelty of learning something new about them would wear off, but never with Lance. He was that type of person, electrifying and eccentric. Someone who Keith thought he would never get along with. And yet.

And yet.

also good news, i dont have astigmatism like i was worried i did! evidently i was seeing double at night looking at bright lights and text bc my bad eye is so weak that it goes lazy at the end of the day since i spend all day struggling with it that it kind of gives up eventually lol. so thats good to kno. and ideally the glasses will help strengthen that eye bc ill actually be able to see out of it and thus use it actively throughout the day :)

okay um. basic gist is that flansburgh is an astronomy student at some college in '92... doesnt really matter which. um. and late one night he ends up making brief contact with a constellation guy that, while he first connected him from sheer tired joking, he starts to like actually see (and hear the next night which is honestly freakier). the constellation is linnell obv though this is technically a little complicated

um. so he forms an insane connection with this constellation p much. initially theyre more curiousities to eachokther than actual FRIENDS but it very quickly becomes a friendship just. well honestly probably just bc flansburgh is bad at being professional....? its okay bro idbe freaking too

okay on the topic of flans seeing and hearing him its time to explain this umm. i dont wanna pull something lame and say "oh hes just imagining the constellation LOL" bc thats not whats happening but the constellation is vry much shaped by his psyche. ultimately the constellation is sort of just a sentient chunk of the stars but flansburghs mind has sort of given him an actual form??? if this makes sense??? to everyone ekse hes invisible p much but he and flans share an astral link of some sort. freakssss.... um. but p much hes very much real he just pulls from flansburghs concious to give more understandable form to himself.

again on their relationship it very quickly turns into something casual as opposed to any sort of REAL research. flansburgh had a lot of questions about what gives the constellation life and how he moves early on but apon being given the chance to bitch about going to colkege uhhh yeah. hes doing that. the constellation isnt completely clueless on human culture actually hes seen a lot of it but probably just doesnt understand certain finer aspects.

okay other thing to say. linnell is also just a real fucking guy in this au and i havent mentioned it until now bc it can get confusing. PRETTY MUCH. he abd flans were really good friends in highschool but insteah of ever going off and starting a band together they just drifted apart. the constellation looks and sounds a lot like linnell (to the most recent of his memory, likely a few mundanes tapes he was able to snag) but ultimately is not actually linked to him. even flansburgh doesnt really realize the similarity until he ends up finally seeing linnell again for a while on the train. he got a job working for one, and because its an overnight ride on obe of those old fashioned ones just because i think they look cool, they end up chatting a bit. feel the need to say flansburgh is a lot less shaken by this than he really should be... like even the constellation is asking about that guy that bears a strangely apt resemblance to him.

um. short of the au is this timeine ig

1. flansburgh resents his astronomy studies

2. flansburgh meets constellation for first time

3. flans develops constellation friendship

4. flansburgh begins ditching certain more um. applicable stidies just to reasearch and understand this guy

5. as they continue to grow closer and more isolated flansburgh takes a long train ride back home, meeting linnell briefly and promicing to really get back to him this time (the mail address sits unused atop a stack of frantic sketches and half finished papers)

6. this guy starts like actually seriously yearning for the constellation to be a real human guy

7. through an offhanded comment of the constellations, flansburgh is lead to believe after around 11 months of contact with the constellation that there is infact a way to be with him in the sky which no is NOT a good deal but hes a little desperate and honestly living off college student money

8. i lay my head on the railroad tracks

it sounds like tragic yaoi this way but i assure you not only is it not YAOI.its not that tragic okayyyyy

other tidbits i cant fit other places hrm.... flansburgh was like incredibly social before all this. like he wasnt already a little introverted he straight up threw college parties. the constellation has communication with other parts of the sky and is not well liked for only having one fucking guy that gaf about him... um. to the stars constellations are honestly a huge thing because the expression of human expirience and guidance onto them is like a massive gesture of love and its part of why the constellation likes flans so much. becahse of this he ceases to exist in a major way after flansburgh is gone. and last but not least. robin MIGHT b here. im still thinking about it...
