believe it or not, jjk is like one of the roles that had them cast together 

both of them usually like to play different roles in different shows because they just don't want to be known as each other's twins

love that for them, they're so real for that

but when they were cast, they accepted it since the script and plot were interesting 

yuuji is a sweetheart inside out and sukuna is the quieter one between the two, sukuna is soft for his brother though so don't get fooled by his tough persona

yes, he is the older twin LOL and always holds it against yuuji just to be petty

"dude can you get me that can of soda?""why are you ordering your older brother around? have some shame"

yuuji just rolls his eyes but before he gets up and get it himself, sukuna will wordlessly stands up and does it anyway

checks on yuuji whenever he does intense fight scenes

both of them do the stunt themselves since they ate both so physically active

education wise, yuuji graduated as a marketing major and sukuna has a degree in physical therapy 

which explains why him and his brother always practice fight scenes together and he helps yuuji with his stance and warm ups!

it's adorable really and he's so tsundere about it too

"no not like that, put your legs this way dumbass" like that typa stuff

sukuna started off as a model but was later on casted because casting agencies thought he has that great villain face

yuuji started off as a side character and really likes acting (he is the theatre kid between the two and sukuna is the quiz bee kid, their mom is BOOKED and busy) and later on recognized because he's just THAT good

yuuji is usually a romance lead or 2nd lead and a slice-of-life guy so when fans found out he will be in an action show, they are excited!

sukuna on the other hand has been casted as a tsundere in romance shows, sometimes a bully and an antagonist in action shows, but a villain that is literally so powerful??? that is so new so his fans are anticipating 

both of them usually arrive on the set together (sukuna is the one driving btw and yuuji just sleeps during the trip)

yuuji prepares both of their bento boxes btw

sukuna loves it

he can cook, but that's it LMAO

he won't admit it but yuuji is the better cook

lowkey a picky eater so yeah

ACTOR!SUKUNA HEADCANONS:

sukuna is the intimidating one (obv) so when him and the other casts first met + the first few readings, it was sooo awkward 

turns out he's lowkey a goofy guy

has fun with his costars and helps them with fight scenes too, gotta put that physical therapy degree into good use

both him and nanami have this silent bond because whenever they're together they just don't talk and bask in the silence as they sit, they just peace amidst their crazy schedule

also an avid toji fan so when this guy found out he's in the same show with his idol he's almost shitting bricks

let out a really loud cheer when he found out and only yuuji knew about it LOL

has a deep-rooted respect towards him and it's sooo obvious whenever toji is around

he is such a fucking fangirl

he just thinks he's so badass and feels so honored to be casted in the same show as him

feels bad that he has to beat up almost everyone 😭 he is also a sweetheart deep inside

deep inside, he's such a caring and protective brother for yuuji because even though he doesn't have any scenes to be filmed, he still joins him on set whenever time allows him

he may not show it but he's sometimes lowkey terrified about fans tearing him up into shreds whenever he kills their favorite character 

imagine sukuna dripping big sweats by the time THAT episode with [redacted] aired oh my GOD he was so fucking nervous considering their fanbase is so big

yuuji has never seen his brother THIS nervous before and he's enjoying it

luckily though, not much hate happened and most of the time it's just memes and playful banter

his ass is barely on social media LOL

in the years of his instagram existing he only has like 90+ posts or even below 😭 usually it's just promotion, being an ambassador, magazine shoots— very lowkey 

doesn't have much digital footprint and i love that for him

whenever he posts, his fans are EATING IT UP since it happens every once in a blue moon lmfao

ACTOR!SUKUNA AS YOUR PARTNER:

as tough as he looks, he actually can be quite clingy, just behind closed doors though

lowkey feels bad when he has to beat up children (LMAO) and his co-actors and asks for cuddles from you for comfort

it's actually kind of adorable 

sometimes if his schedule doesn't allow him to have time to visit you, you'll get messages like "babe i just beat up megumi :(" 

since he's not active on social media, he knows some stuff online through you or yuuji

kind of a sad reason why he doesn't go online as much is because as tough as he looks, he's just a guy scared of the hate he's going to have just because he plays a villain or antagonist most of the time

he knows it's not his fault, he just knows that some people just don't know how to separate reality from acting

especially when that scene where he had to off a certain jujutsu sorcerer actor with a huge fanbase

oh boy was he so fucking scared and ran into your arms for comfort :(

he's a softie deep inside ok

when they have to go out of town or even overseas to film, he gets incredibly homesick and misses you so much 

expect a lot of "i miss you" messages, including selfies and candid pictures that he took around the set to

practicing his lines with you is close to impossible, this guy gets all blushy and shit because you're in front of him

and since most of his lines are mean as hell, he just doesn't want to be mean to you

he wants to impress you so bad but when you're around he just becomes a little high school boy with a big crush LMAO

he's such a sweetheart deep inside oh my god

when he decides he wants to post a new photo in his ig, you're the first and only person he'll ask for opinions

so this just means that most, if not all of his posts were handpicked by you

wears your matching stuff like accessories on set and gets sad when he has to take it off while filming

when he learned that his character would have face tattoos, the first thing he did was come home to you with his face makeup on (he had to ask his makeup artist to let it stay) and imitate it on your face

i have this headcanon that sukuna knows how to draw (and is very good at it) so it takes almost no effort to draw the tattoos on your face

you two then have a mini photoshoot (aka just taking a lot of selfies) with the both of you with sukuna marks on the face

it looks so cute that he made it his lock screen

he is literally a sunshine in or out of acting

so polite and so kind it's hard to hate him (not that he is even worth hating on)

so naturally, everyone on set loves to work with him!

unlike his brother, before acting, he doesn't really know a lot of fighting stance (he's a marketing major ffs lol) BUT ever since he was casted, he doubled up on his working out routine with the help of sukuna

even invested his time learning boxing which later on paid soooo much

can literally make everyone on set "aww" whenever his script requires him so cry or even witness a gruesome death scene *cough* nanami and nobara *cough*

during breaks, him and nobara do tiktok challenges and even those kpop challenges all the time and the crew enjoys watching them do it and the fans like it too

he does it too with choso and todo

this guy literally has 3 older brothers who are protective of him it's so cute

this man is so talented, he can cook, sing, dance, act, and is pretty smart too during his university days, it's so hard not to be in love with him

the greenest of the green flags (just like nanamin!) the girls the guys the folks LOVE him so much, literally the standard 

just like sukuna, he was fangirling so hard when he found out he's going to be in the same drama with THE nanami kento

don't get him wrong, he is beyond grateful the people think he's capable enough to be the main lead but it makes him nervous 

this is his first main character role and the pressure of it all is heavy on his shoulders 

he asked for his brother's opinion too but he trusts you enough to talk about his feelings regarding this

of course, when you said that you'll be there with him in every step and support him all the time and do everything to keep the communication between the two of you going despite his soon-to-be hectic schedule, his heart is finally set on accepting the role

- Calls Milo angel in private, had a couple drinks and it ended up slipping out in front of the pack. David looked very confused for the rest of the night and proceeded to call SH in the middle of the night to say “what do you know”, “what did they (Angel) tell you”, etc. Angel found it incredibly amusing.

- Drinks scotch. Rarely, since it makes Milo uncomfortable. They had it in their apartment once and after they’d learned of his father’s struggle with it, they made sure to keep it out of sight when he came over. Hasn’t bought a bottle since they moved in.

- Reverse pick-pockets everyone. Hates when people make a big deal out of apologies or big emotional things. Their way to avoid it is to make silent apologies. Often but not limited to leaving a couple hundreds in their wallet, cause we all know SH makes bank.

- Nicknames for Milo include: Mi, angel (as previously mentioned), hun/honey, babe.

- Takes the NYT crossword incredibly seriously and looks forward to it more than they’d like to admit

- Raised in New England. Hopes to move back if they decide to have kids, that is until they gain their powers, and need to move back to Dahlia.

Side note: Their child listening to ‘California’ by Chappell Roan on full blast in their room and giving SH war flashbacks

- Has gained a slight NJ/NY accent from Milo. Slips out when they get mad. Specifically with the words: ‘jackass’, ‘told her (so i told ha)’, ‘off (awf)’, ‘call (just cawl me)’, etc.

LASKO:

- Constantly holding Dear’s hand. At first, it was difficult for him to initiate, but once he realized it was the least embarrassing thing he could ask for, it became habit. Sometimes Dear slides their thumb to his wrist to check his pulse when he’s nervous.

- (UNEMPOWERED AU) Dear is an EMT. Sirens used to startle and disturb Lasko, now he finds comfort in knowing Dear is getting to save people (corny and tooth rotting fluff ik)

- Once, Lasko wore Dear’s fleece that went with their uniform since they’d left it at his place and it was too cold to go out without one. It took him 10 minutes of pacing at the front door to go outside and grab the food he ordered. Just in case someone on the 2 second walk down there would need medical attention and thought he could help since he’d be wearing the EMT jacket.

- He owns every single PJO book and shamelessly reads them at least once a year. He’s in the Zeus cabin (obviously). Grover’s his favorite, because in his words, “he’s the only one worried about the logistics.”

- ‘Guilty as Sin?’ is THEIR SONG. I will not be taking any criticisms at this time or ever. It’s just the lyrics about feeling guilty for thinking about the other in that way. Like are you kidding me. ‘I’ve screamed his name, building up like waves’ DEAR WE KNOW ITS YOU IN THE WRITERS ROOM.

GUY:

(these are mostly fem leaning i am so sorry)

- Watched The Real Housewives. Insists Jersey is peak, Honey agrees. They take the finales very seriously. Honeys favorite is Margaret, Guys favorite is Melissa. He insists Honey and him are exactly like Joe and Melissa. I have RHONJ brainrot save me.

- Uses a sleep eye mask from dollar tree that says ‘nap queen’ on it. Found it in Honeys childhood bedroom.

- Raised in NYC (Brooklyn), insists he knows how to use the subway and always gets lost. Honey cracked the code within 2 days.

- Had headgear in high school. No further explanation. That’s it. That’s the HC.

Chilidog Vendor Adventures:

The events of this AU take place in an alternate timeline of Sonic's world, removing/altering many of its problematic entries in the timeline. The story follows the adventures of Quezz the Quokka. After a brutal incident with Metal Sonic, he pulls himself out of his mundane life to go on an adventure to wield the necessary strength to protect himself from evil. Along the way, he'll face many, many insurmountable challenges that he'll work to overcome, as he'll do anything to protect himself and the people he loves.

Crystal Eyes (Crystallize) AU:

An AU in which Sonic was created not long after project shadow upon the space colony ark, that concept in itself is not unique however Sonic was created with different dna strands then shadow, including an unknown Alien species with rubber hose qualities and flakes of the actual chaos emeralds themselves.

Description:

Using a separate sample of DNA that was sourced from [REDACTED] this project is equipped with the proper capabilities including speed, flexibility and proper control of momentum to assist in project shadows shortcomings. This unintentionally gave him weaknesses that are related to projects shadows strengths but that result is nothing to worry about as long as they remain together.

the GREEN and BLUE emerald were the base for this project. GREEN representing harmony and BLUE representing freedom.

GREEN shavings of the emerald were used to create the base for this projects eyes and BLUE for the base of the head.

It was expected that they would also be able to manipulate energy to use as weapons however this project instead is able to manipulate energy to create cartoonish manifestations of symbols, objects and people in the real world. Similar to a visible thought bubble.

This project is observably capable of speech and understands English. Yet they communicate solely through energy manifestations or by creating odd sounds through currently unknown means. These can include something like a ringing cowbell to even the release of a spring. Needs more research to decipher the meanings of aforementioned noises.

Still, even without manipulating energy into use of a weapon, they still have the ability to manipulate chaos energy to their will, why they haven’t chosen to use it as a weapon remains to be seen.]

His lack of speech is a nod to classic Sonic and his abilities are a nod to Sonic X and his cartoony nature, upon dawning inhibitors rings of his own he loses these abilities to manifest chaos energy into means of communication. He wears them around his shoulder and high calf due to the fact they were originally created for shadow and were cloned in order to properly inhibit shadows immense power, and Sonic being a smaller size had to wear them on larger parts of his body rather then his wrists and ankles.

I'd say... a solid 7? I usually edit a bit as I go, simply because I might come up with something that impacts a situation that happened earlier and I need to go back and change that while I remember it. I love ERS's Kinktober verse with all my heart and whatever shreds remain of my soul, but soulmate AUs will always own me, and this one is so gorgeous and clever in its concept and execution, and though I thoroughly swoon at the two main constellations, it was the bonus chapter that truly took me out.

I saw @mr-laveau do something similar but with their art, so imma do it with my fics. Really this is just an excuse to show off my favourite fics from 2023, and give a bit of commentary on them. So let's do this. If you want to do something similar go ahead!! I think it's super fun.

Pluto's Top Three

See, normally I despise picking the top three, but this year it is actually pretty easy. I think it's cause there are fewer to choose from, but also there are fics that really stood out to me this year.

1. Who Are You, Really? [NeXus, Cher & Sherlock character study, complete, T, 2547 words]

Out of all of my fics this year this is probably my favourite. It is the first fic of NeXus that I wrote, and it means a whole lot to me. I'm not sure why I like it so much but it probably has something to do with the fact that my first ever NeXus fic came out half decent. I usually have awful writing for the first fic in a new fandom. It also probably has something to do with developing my favourite found family out of that series so far ngl. For this fic I really wanted to focus on developing these two listeners, obviously, but also lay down what I think their relationships are like with the other characters surrounding them.

2. Like Real People Do [Redacted Audio, Sam/Darlin', Imperium AU, T, ongoing, 35018 words]

This is on this list because it is my baby. I have been working on it for so long. I have had an obsession with the au and now I am just determined to finish it. I really wanted to play with the idea of Darlin still being alive in the Imp! and ran with it honestly.

3. Let Me (I Will) [Redacted Audio, Milo/Sweetheart, M, complete, 1988 words]

While this isn't my best-written fic, it certainly is my most sentimental. I wrote this fic at a time when I was injecting my own demisexual identity into Sweetheart. If I could, I would rewrite this fic, but I will definitely be doing similar in the future. Mainly because I want to read fics that speak to me, and share them for those who may also relate.

By which I mean that when I was determining how the timeline went, I decided it was 'beckett rescues okulos' -> 'gets kapaneus as a traveling companion' -> 'goes to LA for bloodlines with kapaneus' -> 'caine does his fun Don't Worry About It Aura to beckett at the prospect of an ancient driving a car' -> 'lets beckett get enrichment playing with the sarcophagus until caine gives him the good old Extreme Dread Aura about it so beckett won't open it himself' -> 'beckett warns the fledgling and then goes back to the hotel room he's sharing with kapaneus' -> 'they have more fun adventures during the rest of their year of traveling together'

i tend to ignore the 'canonical' mechanics of blood bonds, mostly because these are vampires and i tend to think that any set of lovers would get way more than three drinks of each other's blood within the timeframe for that, but also i just had the mental image of beckett getting a hit of kapaneus' blood, suddenly feeling a deep fondness for the concept of caine, and being like (⌐■_■) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⊙ˍ⊙) 'hey why do i suddenly feel really fond of this guy i don't even believe exists?'

(also because with my headcanons for beckett's various romances, he'd be blood-bonded to So Many other people just based on estimated amounts of Kisses Accepted and Administered. there's a theoretical beckett-centric viniculum where everyone he's bonded with is automatically at a 2 with each other, despite having no bonds of their own, just off the bond-concentration contact high)

caine spending a year watching beckett put himself in Situations and coming to the conclusion that this little guy really Deserves to be capable of even more nonsense and should have even More money to put where his mouth is and then permanently empowering him accordingly -> sascha and beckett [handshake. jpg] unwittingly much stronger than their alleged generation can account for

(although of course now that i've thought about it, an au of beckett ending up blood-bound to caine is an extreme mood. the direction is either very dark or very crack, though: on the one hand beckett probably has about a century worth of questions alone, on the other he unwittingly sipped so much of Caine's Own Blood he's discovering new novelty damnations all the time)

Oh my god he's the centre of his very own Greater Seattle Polycule. This one spans the entire planet and several millennia. They meet someone new and Sascha's just like. "This is Ilias, my boyfriend. And this is Beckett, everyone's boyfriend." Ilias and Fatima immediately become fond of each other upon meeting despite never having laid eyes on each other just via Ilias -> Sascha -> Beckett <- Lucita <- Fatima. Goddamn spectacular.

Also Lucita helped attack Dracula's castle once, imagine them meeting post-Price of Hospitality and just staring daggers at each other and Dracula's like, "...so how's my Bride?" and Lucita's just, "Excuse me I had dibs first" and Beckett's in the background wearing just his sunglasses with the diary posed strategically like, "Hey now, there's more than enough of me to go around ;D" and everyone in the vicinity up to and including Caine is just like. Yes. We know.

so I rewatched this episode recently and I am now Thinking Some Thoughts TM about The Librarians season 2 episode 9 And The Happily Ever Afters

namely, I was thinking about how I feel like there’s been discussions about the general plot, admiration for the funny bits and Fleve moments (as there should be!) a general appreciation for the overarching plot of the episode, how it’s compelling that they turn away from their “happily ever after” or, as Ariel put it, “their heart’s desire” right? and, while I’m sure we could even discuss whether these AU lives shown in the episode would really be these characters’ most secret, deepest wishes, given what we know about them—

I want to set that aside for a minute and really think about the premise. Ariel was saying that no human has ever been able to turn their back on that willingly, right? and my first thought was some abstract idea— humans being unable to turn their backs on true love, on the person they want to be with, or perhaps on the job they want most, or even something like having their own peaceful home, right?

but then I thought, okay, what would this be for me? My deepest desire, the thing that makes my heart ache with yearning— is it belonging? love? What would it actually look like to have the offer of your wildest hopes to be real, and to, for the good of the world and to save you and your friends’ (and the entire world) lives, to walk away from that?

and it’s that last bit of the question that really stopped me in my tracks because. and I don’t know if this is just because I’ve been thinking of STIV a lot recently, but. really? truly? if we’re being honest? deepest, fiercest desire? thing I would long for most in the world? fictitious alternate life that would be hardest to give up as it constitutes a happy ending? like, for me, that’s a Star Trek world, no question even about it. A hopeful optimistic future where humanity is among the stars, racism, sexism, homophobia, human xenophobia, and other forms of bigotry have been virtually eliminated, everyone’s basic needs are met and we’re no longer seeing constant and insidious human rights violations? humanity come together to create an equitable, fair, good world for all that has done away with money and everyone’s needs are met, medical care is free, incredibly accessible, and available to all, people are free to pursue their interests with no capitalistic control upon them, we’ve reached the stars and are caring for our earth, each other, and making friendships with new species?

like, ough. It’s Gillian Taylor being able to come with Kirk and crew back to the 23rd century and live there, you know? It’s that scene in Diane Duane’s TNG novel Dark Mirror where [redacted] is in awe at the prime universe’s wondrous hope and equality and loveliness! it’s The ultimate fantasy, this post-scarcity post-bigotry equitable utopia, you know?

If I was stuck in a life AU like the others in the show, I’m almost certain it would be being put into Star Trek. and I just. can you imagine, being placed into a Star Trek life, and then being asked to give that up, to save the world? how do you give up a future beyond hatred, beyond bigotry, beyond systemic inequalities and oppression and war and capitalistic medical systems and. and. how in hell could someone give that up? how is saving the world the very giving up of the better-future-dream made real, made tangible? when saving the world is somehow going back to the one that seems Worse, where we’re still dealing with all of these hates and bigotries and money-originated-violences? how is that saving the world? and, to be selfish, to give up a world free of homophobia, with instantly available medical care?

I just. god, with the self-reinforcing nature of the AU life spell I just. I don’t know if I’d be able to give it up. Would anyone be able to convince me that it’s not real? And even if, somewhere in my heart of hearts, I know that it isn’t real, that I’d been stuck into a materialized Star Trek AU that isn’t real life… could I give that up? to be completely serious, you know, envisioning that as a real life situation… could I truly look at that life, and say yes, this is exactly what I want, in this life I would never be denied medical care and have no need to work under capitalistic society and am fully accepted and cherished in my queerness and in space… and to say yes, it’s everything I’ve ever yearned for, and then to shut the door on that, and knowingly return to the world of our current day?

I don’t know, y’all. I mean. Even if I did do it, which isn’t 100% certain—but looking within myself I think I could have the strength to do it, but I’d need some time to bid farewell in my heart, it couldn’t be sudden— the very act of seeing a Star Trek future and being in it and then… to willingly leave… it would break my heart so deeply, I just. how does one recover from that? my throat hurts with the sheer emotion and sadness at the very thought; how could one knowingly, informedly leave such a place and not have your heart forever changed? I think I’d always feel a little wounded, a certain especially tender spot somewhere deep within myself. To have held that future and then let it slip from your fingers…

I think this is especially poignant and moving to me given that this comes immediately following And The Point of Salvation and we know that Ezekiel remembers everything, and even though he seems to be fine because the writers don’t let his character breathe and give him the space and respect he’s due / Julian Bashir-ify him / are racist and don’t let him express it onscreen, there’s no way that didn’t majorly fuck him up psychologically, and I feel like, as sweet as this episode is presented onscreen, it’s kind of the emotional narrative successor to the previous episode because it’s like, the other side of the forever-changed-self coin. to really, truly walk away from what you most desire?

for me, to walk away from a brief moment of living in a Star Trek world? to quote another story, I think I might be brave enough; but I don’t think I’d ever feel the same and, I think there would be so much indescribable sadness to the aftermath of this.

Even if we argue that each of their life AUs were vastly more personal than worldwide-altering hopes and dreams, still, and even given that these events were followed up by the season finale (which was very good as well!!) I think the characters would all really, really need time to sit with and process the grief of losing… whatever their heart’s-desire-lives were, whether we agree with the accuracy of the ones we saw on screen or no. I think they’d need to really mourn those brief flashes of an alternate life; and even after they went back to work and proceeded “as normal” I think these sadnesses would crop back up from time to time as a certain sound, certain name, certain object or scenery or other occurrence briefly brought their memory back to those brief flashes of another time, another life. And they’d help each other through it, of course, but. what a particular sadness that would be.

I dunno, I guess I just got to thinking about how incredibly difficult and heartbreaking it would be to be placed into a Star Trek future and then have to make the choice to give that up, and how I don’t think any of the Librarians or Eve would bounce back to normal immediately, how they’d need to give themselves time to feel all of the emotions and process the losses of the time when they inhabited their hearts’ desires because, ough, I would be such a mess.

maybe sometime I’ll write a fic about this because there’s so much unexplored emotional potential and angst/hurt/comfort territory going on here, but I had to get these thoughts out because the concept of being handed your deepest, dearest wishes and then being asked to recant to save the world is so, so much more intense, more heartbreakingly bittersweet, more layered than we really got screen time for, and is (to me at least!) so worth exploring in terms of how it would affect the characters in the weeks/months etc beyond the events of the episode. ough, just. so many feelings about this♡

Ghost Whisperer Voltron AU - Part 4

Allura didn't get a lot of sleep that night, or the ones that followed. The little boy had paid her two more visits, always around dusk. What caught her attention was the always reacted as if she was a stranger, because it was unusual. Usually the ghosts began to recognize her, which made the process of moving on easier for all parties, but this little boy seemed to forget.

In her research, she discovered a few important things. City records showed that the previous owners of the house were the McClains, who moved six years before and had trouble selling it. The house remained vacant until she bought it, for at least half the price it should have sold for.

She also found out that around that time there was a fire in the school and there two casualties: a firefighter and his son. Allura knew the son was the little boy who kept visiting, but his name was redacted from the papers for some reason. So, she paid a visit to the local firemen station.

It was a Tuesday morning and it seemed to be a slow day for the town. Kids were at school, people were at work, and barring an emergency, the sirens were quiet. She walked in through the garage, and immediately noticed there was a wall covered in pictures. She began to approach when one of the firefighters noticed her.

"Hello, can I help you?" He asked. He was tall, broad shouldered and was missing an arm. He also had a large scar accross his nose.

"Oh, hi! I'm new in town, so I was just walking around and getting to know the place," she said, feeling a bit awkward.

"Well, it's nice to meet you! Hope you're liking it so far," he replied and extended his hand, "name's Takashi Shirogane, but most people call me Shiro."

"Allura Altean," she shook his hand.

"So, where did you move to? I haven't heard of anyone moving away," he continued.

"Oh, it's a house that was vacant for years near the edge of town. It's a bit of a fixer upper, but I'm into DIY and such," she answered. Shiro's face made a funny expression, and it made her curious, "is something the matter?"

"Huh? No, not at all... it's just... well, some people say those houses are haunted. You are brave for buying the property."

If only he knew, Allura thought, but replied, "Oh, really? I had no idea."

"For real? They didn't tell you when you got it?" Allura made her eyes look wide and she shook her head. Shiro continued, "well, local legend says that after a fire in the school a few years ago, weird things began to happen in the area. So much so, that the school relocated to a different building."

"Oh? What kind of weird things?" She asked, genuinely intrigued even if she was playing up the tourist act.

"Shadows in the windows, things that moved on its own, flickering lights... that sort of thing. One story says that one say a desk broke as if someone had jumped on it. Another says that if you pass by the abandoned school building around ten in the morning, when they used to have recess, something will throw rocks at you. Oh, and my favorite: some people claim that the demons haunting the place started the fire in the first place."

"Takashi, what are you doing?" Someone asked behind her and Allura did not startle. She didn't. Shiro laughed and she glared at him.

"Just telling our new resident about the history of our town," Shiro replied to the man who was approaching them. He was tall, although a bit shorter than Shiro, and leaner, with a critical gaze and square glasses. He slapped Shiro's arm.

"More like telling ghost stories, aren't you?" The man retorted.

"Hey, they're entretaining!"

"No, they are disrespectful!"

Shiro rolled his eyes in what seemed to be a regular argument for these two. Allura felt confused.

"I'm sorry, but what's disrespectful?"

The second man turned to her, now. She felt the need to fix her hair and made sure she was presentable, for some reason.

"I assume you're the new resident who moved into the old McClain house?" He asked and she nodded, "well, miss..."

"Allura."

"Miss Allura, the truth is that we lost one of our own in that fire six years ago, and while it was tragic, the causes were found to be completely mundane and accidental. I find it disrespectful to take a tragedy such as this and make up ghost stories out of it."

"Oh," Allura said, taken aback, "do you know why the McClains moved, then? I'm just surprised how the house came to be so... affordable."

Adam sighed, "I don't really know. Takashi and I transferred to this station about two years after the fire and they were already gone. From what I understand, however, they were pretty close with Sargeant Kogane."

"Is he the firefighter who died in the fire?"

"Indeed," he said and led her to the wall of pictures. There, he pointed to a tall man with an easygoing smile who had his arm around a small boy that she recognized.

"Who is he?" Allura asked and pointed at the boy.

This time the man's sigh was deeply sad, and it was Shiro who answered her question. His smile was gone and she wouldn't have guessed this man had been laughingly telling her ghost stories just a few minutes ago.

"That's his son. Keith. He also died in the fire."

part 1 of my redacted classical music au- damn crew

as per @super-trouper-lights 's encouragement, here is an attempt at organising this classical music au that takes up 90% of my brain space at all times.

i've (hopefully) including links to a few pieces that i think suit each character as well :)

psa! i am a pianist, not an orchestral musician, so most of this is coming from anecdotal evidence that i've seen and heard as a serial concertgoer and music student. and my bonus powers of special interest and being right about everything ever.

freelancer: i usually alternate between clarinet and oboe, but i've settled between clarinet being their principal. i also think they've considered trying their hand at conducting! excels at an eclectic mix of classical/modern/jazz pieces- enjoys at the camaraderie of playing symphonic works with the rest of the orchestral, but prefers the freedom and craziness of 20th century music when playing solo. favourite composers are like bartok, prokofiev, shostakovich, stravinsky etc. turns on rite of spring at a house party like "this is my jam!!!" gavin is their go-to accompanist and together they are an absolute dream team because they work together so perfectly, even if they make eyes at each other the whole performance. really good composer too but they're too shy to show their work to anyone outside of the friend group at the minute.

pieces: bernstein sonata for clarinet and piano, templeton pocket sized sonata no.1 III : in rhythm

gavin: pianist, with a heavy focus on ensemble playing. gavin thrives when he can work off the other person(s) energy, and accompaniment really lets him have a lot of fun! really good at keeping up with the soloist even if they switch it up DURING the performance (i can see freelancer doing this...). annoyingly and effortlessly excellent at sightreading and transposing. he can play solo too but i think having all eyes on him alone on the stage makes him uneasy. if he is playing a solo work i can see him being really into all the basic romantic pieces he's definitely best at chopin and liszt. i can also see him being a fan of brahms! he's really not a fan of the earlier baroque stuff. BIG hand span so he's good at playing rachmaninoff as well. basically, he's a romantic and it shows.

pieces: liszt liebesträume no.3 (this piece is about a love that transcends death. thinking about gav's immortality vs fl's mortality...), chopin nocturne in g minor op. 37 no. 1, brahms intermezzo op. 117 no.2

damien: cellist. second chair (you'll see who is first chair later!) and slightly bitter about it, but he prefers playing solo anyways. very prone to injuries as he tenses up when he loses himself in the music, but he's working on it. REALLY scary to be in a chamber ensemble with. scarily good sense of time and will call you out if you are out by even a millisecond. thought about conducting but decided against it after he nearly made lasko cry for rushing a phrase. serial string breaker. gets a little starstruck around musicians he really respects. a real asset to the orchestra because his passion and drive is infectious. actually counts his rests LOL. has a beautiful tenor voice but rarely shows it off. has a notebook dedicated to cello and takes detailed notes after every lesson, rehearsal, and performance. loves having an art form to just throw himself into.

pieces: brahms cello sonata, elgar cello concerto

huxley: PERCUSSIONIST! him and xavier man the percussion section at the back of the orchestra- huxley has definitely gotten too into the music and accidentally launched a mallet into the orchestra before; apologised profusely afterwards. likes to play tuned and untuned percussion equally. goes ham on the timpani! amazing sense of rhythm. often taps out little bits of what he's playing whilst he's going about his day. often has a little dance when he's playing! is also super good at little jazz or bossa nova improvisations on the piano. huxley really doesn't play anything pre-19th century, but sometimes if he'll listen to some early baroque pieces whilst he's walking home or lying in bed, and hum along. really likes bach's cello suites to calm down. gets damien to play them for him while he lounges on the floor like a very happy cat. the most interested in music outside of the western canon- he thinks it's all super fascinating.

pieces: márquez danzón no. 2, reich mallet quartet iii: fast (this one sounds really earthy to me? for some reason.)

lasko: did you really think he would be anything but a flautist?! flute posterboy. amazing breath control, but often rushes phrases (he plays like he rambles!) likes being in the same section as freelancer as they always give him a little thumbs up before he has any solo parts. gavin usually accompanies him for solo work but sometimes lasko gets so flustered he breathes funny into his flute and all that comes out is this strange honking sound- gavin isnt sure whether it came from the flute or lasko himself. his favourite composers are ravel and debussy as he just loves the impressionist sound- always listens to debussy's preludes when he's winding down before bed. recently has been obsessed with debussy's la mer- perhaps it reminds him of a certain someone...? also quite the mozart fan! lasko gets really lost in the music when he plays and tends to lose all of his inhibitions- it's lovely for his friends to see him relaxed and happy like that, and it's also very therapeutic for him.

pieces: glick flute sonata i: fast, mozart concerto for flute and harp 2nd mov (with a certain water elemental playing the harp part...) , ravel valses nobles et sentimentales ii: assez lent (okay i know the flute isnt that prominent in this but it just reminds me of him)

bonus: caelum is a very enthusiastic piano student, hoping to take after his big brother gavin :D

the real question is can i think of one that i haven't already rambled about on here before HFKLDSJF okay i know i've mentioned that i headcanon him with super curly hair, and i think that once he starts to settle down with y.n. more(/get more comfortable in his gender identity DON'T think i've forgot about transfem genderfluid actor it never dies) he starts to grow it out, but the thing is. he does not know how to take care of curly hair. and unfortunately, neither does y.n. (my self insert does not have curly hair lmao) so it's a lot of googling and trial and error to figure out how to take care of it......eventually they get a good routine for him though, which is good because he LOVES having long hair, it makes him feel so pretty 🥺 he also loves putting little barrettes/clips in it, i had the thought of him having little rose clips in it a while ago and hrhrghghhg he's so CUTE.....

oh my goodness okay!! with 22 published fics and [redacted] wips, this is a very broad topic haha. i might do a mix of stuff that's published and stuff that's not but that i'm still proud of! i'm gonna open a whole bunch of them now and see if anything comes to mind hehe

there’s a bit in an unpublished uni au involving some backstory and a dog and dog imagery in general across two different perspectives that i'm really proud of – this probably makes no sense rn but once it’s published and you get to chapter 8 (? I think) then it probably will. I just, I wrote it a while back and since then I’ve seen a real uptick in people also using dog imagery (‘kicked puppy’ etc) or cat imagery (‘soggy wet kitten man’ etc) for the captain and so I’m really happy we’re all on the same page there!!

I also changed and added a whole bit of the Captain’s backstory to this au in response to hearing Noah Kahan’s The View Between Villages. It’s incredible how much I think of the captain in this specific fic. It makes me really emotional. I hope I’m able to publish it all soon because I really want other people to understand where I’m coming from.

another thing I haven’t published yet, but I wrote the ending for tqatd basically after I wrote the first couple of chapters and I’m actually quite proud of it. Feel like I’ve done a decent amount of foreshadowing for it, or maybe not foreshadowing as such, but like little hints so it will be less of a surprise and more of an ‘oh, this was always on the cards, wasn’t it?’ type situation. Idk though now I’m worried ahaha

I know I’ve already done a whole post about this but the fact that I named the kid in adored chapter 5 ‘Jimmy’ short for James and had him be a mirror of teenage-Cap is even more meaningful to me now that we know that Captain’s name.

The printed and annotated article that Cap gives Pat in adored, called ‘The Subversive History of Women Using Thread as Ink’ is real.

There are some similarities and callbacks in tqatd that I really enjoy. In chapter 5, when Pat finds the sheet music for the songs Cap has written about him, his thoughts quickly turn saucy and he imagines blowing Cap while he plays him the songs on the piano. This comes up multiple times again.

In chapter 8, when Thomas is using his siren-y powers, the Captain believes for a moment that Pat is kneeling down in front of him and he hears ‘the sound of a piano playing’. This is because Thomas has gotten confused between what he’s seen in Pat’s head and what he’s seen in the Captain’s. He’s accidentally projecting Pat’s fantasy in Cap’s mind (not that he minds).

Then in chapter 11, it pops up again when Pat’s listing all the places they’ve had sex – the king-sized bed ‘(and a wall, and a desk, and an armchair, and a shower, and a piano seat)’.

However, it’s not until Chapter 12 and later in the timeline (Valentine’s day!) that Pat actually fulfils the initial fantasy for both of them hehehoho

PHANTOM HEROES: NEW NAVIGATION

As a result of me revamping the lore, I decided to make a new pinned post and talk about the new changes to Phantom Heroes; as well as what to expect going forward with the blog. The AU is under development as I am only one person and unfortunately, I'm a bit busy with real life issues as well.

Though before we get into it, you can call me Howl. You can also call be Bambi or Ghost! I know I mentioned to be called Atlas in an older post, but for the most part - the first three are a-okay with me. I'm an adult, keep that in mind before interacting! I'm auDHD and loooveee to infodump, and currently Phantom Heroes is my main hyperfix so you'll probably be seeing me yap a lot!

This account also doubles as an interactive, roleplay blog, and once I have a few things squared away, I'll be opening my inbox for it! Keep in mind: mature content will be talked about on this blog including depictions of violence, smoking, implied domestic violence, poor living conditions, and more. PHANTOM HEROES LORE

Phantom Heroes is an alternate universe inspired by South Park's game, "The Fractured But Whole"; including the episodes ft. C**n and Friends, and the Mysterion episodes. Though this does have original concepts which have nothing to do with the canon of South Park!

Years have passed since elementary school and now the once nine-year-olds are in high school, but something has changed in ways they never thought possible. During the summer right before their sophomore/junior terms, a cosmic event hit South Park and somehow, it caused a group of the residents to develop superpowers overnight. Surprisingly, some time after - criminal activity began to go back on the rise and led to the unexpected turn of vigilante Mysterion.

Though it seems even he can't handle all the crime of South Park and times have changed. In completely (un)related notes, however, Kenny McCormick and the rest of his friends, and classmates, are returning to the usual grind of high school.

... and if they happen to leave a double life at nights, well, that's only one part of the package.
