Eughhh, what a fucking Monday.

Woke up and got ready for work only to walk outside and realize someone had stolen all the wheels off of my fucking car. I live in a gated complex on the edge of town, so I don't know if this happened because one of my neighbors is a huge asshole or if the north gate being broken and stuck open let someone in or what, but it's just so shitty. They propped it up on three (3) cinderblocks and bent the doorframe and undercarriage, too.

Anyway, I had to take the day off and talk to my job, the police, my insurance, the car shop it's being taken to, the tow guys (towing took like 2 hours because there was no direct access), my parents, a coworker that lives in the same area to give me a ride tomorrow, etc...only people I haven't talked to are the housing complex folks, and that's because she's gone for the three day weekend.

Time for a late lunch and spitefully scrolling through Amazon for security cameras...I need a cup of tea.

I'm really not a video games person (really not.) but Kentucky Route Zero and Where the Water Tastes Like Wine are two of my favorites---specifically because of their settings and the way it seeps through the narrative. I enjoy shipping, but I cannot see the appeal in watching shows only for the purpose of shipping; I think it closes you off to so much. I think coming into a work with the expectation that it will only succeed if a particular configuration of people end up happily in a relationship with each other when the curtain closes means you will reject so many unexpected choices altogether. It destroys your ability to appreciate the entire concept of tragedy. Just, imagine refusing to let yourself enjoy "I'm not a gardener" because you are too furious that a different kiss than the one you wanted happened to feel other emotions.

had a very oddly vivid dream last night in which i was watching a movie with my family that featured robert sean leonard in a supporting role and i was incredibly excited about this fact. it was then revealed that there was yet another character also played by robert sean leonard (they had digitally cloned him a la social network armie hammer winklevoss twins) and i was even More excited about this revelation. i do not remember what the film was about but i do distinctly remember saying “i think every movie should have at least two robert sean leonards in it”
