Ran away from my desk to a dear friend’s because I couldn’t focus at home (she has pretty mugs).

On the way there, this city that irritates and annoys me so often had the audacity to look incredibly pretty in the mild air of a surprisingly warm New Year’s Day.

Currently watching: something odd: Alene i Vildmarken, a Danish reality show about people who are set out in the wild nature of northern Norway - they have to survive as long as possible and the last one is a winner! :D

Spicy/savory/or sweet? EVERYTHING, but NEVER mixed! I hate sweet AND savory stuff. Either this or that, but I never say no to either of those options :)

Relationship status: I am happy and that's all that should matter to tumblr, heh

Current Obsession: the sun. It is visible in Denmark again, yay! And baking, sort of? I spontaneously decided to make a huge vegan Donauwelle yesterday. I've never done that before lol - oh and music! The Outfield?? <3

My emotional life is a mess and I am so behind on what I’m supposed to write but I found these treasures on the free shelf in the university building. (Especially in love with that cute edition of Eichendorff’s Aus dem Leben eines Taugenichts.)

November, 2024 // When, for a week, this little black Dacia was mine and we adventured up and down these narrow roads and I was reading on pebbly beaches or up high with ocean views and at night in my room in the old monastery I could hear the waves crashing from the sea and thunderstorms rumbling in the mountains and I had my books and my candles and I felt very content.

I honestly have no clue how I have ever struggled to reach word counts when I was an undergrad. All I seem to do these days is shortening, cutting things out, rewriting things shorter, chopping, slashing.

It is, once again, me and my laptop (and the open text document on it) against the world these days. Be it at my desk or on the train to see family. (Also, I finally got the university hoodie last month which was probably long overdue.)

omnia vincit aequatio challenge

february 17, 2024 // getting there 🌷✍🏻

A couple of days ago, I realized I wanted a habit tracker that was pretty and also easy to look at on my wall so I used a template and made one to fit my aesthetic and I am very happy with it.

Today consisted of all elements I had written down for my challenge to achieve a more balanced yet productive life. I only might have to tweak the proportions a little. For now, though, something is better than nothing.

had a nice breakfast, baked some brookies

read a little, did some duolingo lessons

ran some errands, had lunch in good company at a nice spot by the river

spent a couple of hours in the university library, reading a couple of papers, and figured out something that had given me a bit of a headache (it would be nice if everyone would cite and spell other people's names correctly and one wouldn't have to go about frantically searching for a paper by someone who doesn't exist because the name is missing a couple of letters – oh well)

spent the night at a ball dance thing organised by a student community here – think nice dresses and suits, dancing shoes and lots of ballroom dancing without the stuffiness because everyone brought food and most people were university students and/or young people looking for a good time. i danced a lot with a lot of people and had a really good time. (this does count as the movement/exercise part of the day!)

ps: it's starting to feel like spring which is mean because i'm sure it will get cold again in a couple of days or weeks but it is nice for now nontheless

editor's meeting for the campus magazine

doctor's appointment

did some laptop work

played some music for the first time in a really very incredibly long time

enjoyed the sunny (albeit very cold) day and the view of the teeny-tiny stream behind the house

returned to the library before the magazine editorial meeting for some reading

did not manage to work out, riding my bike to and from every appointment has to count

january 4, 2023 // omnia vincit aequatio challenge day 1

Still struggling with actual output for the paper I'm writing, and I had a horrible night's sleep, but at least I built myself some sort of a structure today and I'm hopeful I can improve based on that.

• did some literature research and skimmed a paper • had a nice & cozy breakfast in bed as well as yummy pasta later • was still very sore from the gym the previous day so I went for a walk with my roommate • read two chapters in a new book, wrote some studyblr stuff hehe • watched some episodes of Elementary, also organized my jewelry and found nice rings I had forgotten about

I have finally started reading The Secret History for the first time. Pray for me.
