It’s such a common theme in dystopian stories for the rebellion to be the unsung hero of the story and the main character, no matter how resentful, is always swayed to the side of the rebellion, so it was really refreshing to see tlou purposely avoid painting the fireflies as anything other than a force opposing fedra and opposing cordyceps. Because really, in this world, there’s no heroes or villains, just people trying to survive.
