🍉 Sapphic Palestinian Fiction Books for Pride Month
🩷 I know, I know. You're probably asking yourself, "Why is she posting about these same books AGAIN?" Here's the thing. I grew up as a Palestinian, American, Muslim, QUEER girl with no awareness that these books existed. No one was talking about them. Honestly, very few people spoke about Muslims or Arab-Americans in a positive light when I was growing up, let alone Queer Palestinian women. But these books DO exist. They deserve to be loved, and you know what? Young queer people (male, female, nonbinary, gay, lesbian, bi, pan, trans, EVERYONE within this beautiful queer spectrum) deserve to know that they're SEEN. That people like them EXIST. That their stories matter (I have a completed contemporary YA novel about a bisexual Muslim, Palestinian American girl publishers don't seem to want) and deserve to be shared, heard, LOVED.
💖 So yes. I'm going to keep talking about these books. I'm going to make sure people know they exist. I'm going to talk about them during Pride, throughout the other 11 months of the year, during 2024 and beyond. Because you're not seeing them. You're not reading them. And by ignoring these stories, you're ignoring the people they represent, too.
❤ Help me by sharing this. Please.

I am the moon and I want to reach out to my darling sapphics with anxiety tonight, and remind you all that everything is going to be okay. I understand the world is just a bit to big and there is just a bit to much going on right now and that everything feels like it's crashing in on you and trying to drown you. But I promise you, you're head is above water still, you are still tredding it and that all will be calm again soon. All will be calm and you will smile to yourself, proud that you managed to keep going. And I am proud of you too.

You know what sucks? Despite being on this site for almost a year now, I have never seen one positivity post about LGBTQ+ people that are muslim, and I think that’s really bad, so I’m making my own.
Muslim sapphics who wear hijabs / niqabs / burqas? Y’all are absolutely amazing and beautiful.
Muslim people who like multiple genders? Stunning and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Don’t even get me started on muslim trans and nonbinary people, oh my god you guys are so incredible and so freaking valid.
Your religion does not contradict your identity, I am so proud of all of you

Thank you for being with us and Ramadan mubarak! *** this post is 100% inclusive of trans sapphic Muslims

This was f*cking magestical 🥰
I went on a study break, as one does, and ended up in the mountains overlooking the City annnd visited one of my favorite views! Annnnd there were a few cars, super spread apart looking at the sunset and the horses. The horses were fairly far from us and I overheard the people closest to me talking about how the horses never really come closer to people. Wheeeeen this lovely, magestical beauty came right up to me! I wanna pretend that it’s cause they like me buuut it was probably the orange I was eating 😂 but other people were eating too and it only came up to me!! Also, atleast one of them come up to me every time I go. I think it’s because I used to feed the other horses that were there apples, back in the day, and those horses told these ones 🤷🏻‍♀️ It was sooo lovely! It made me pet it and we just vibed for a bit while I watched the sunset. More pictures below to emphasize the majesticness of this spot.

Also, this is another reminder that if you’re having a tough time cause of the sweater weather, or pandemic isolation, the holidays, etc. that the Universe loves you, and it wants you around. If you’ve done nothing but make it through this year, THAT IS PLENTY in and of itself. Your body loves you, that’s why it keeps doing it’s thang to fight for you to be alive. I love you, whether we know eachother or not, I’m glad that you’re here and you make the world a better place. You matter.
