Israelis might not have the wisdom of King Solomon, but some of their inventions, innovations, and achievements are extremely clever. Israeli electronic sensors can restore the sense of touch to damaged nerves.  Doctors are 3D-printing prosthetics for amputees in Israeli hospitals. An Israeli smart catheter is the first device specifically designed to clear blocked veins. And Israeli long-distance tele-medicine is treating and caring for patients across Israel and in Africa. Smart sensors make Israeli beehives 50% more productive.  An Israeli innovation improves the health of cows and the quality of their milk. Israeli paint prevents diseases. The roads are less polluted thanks to Israeli electric mopeds, and the free world is safer thanks to Israeli hi-tech defense systems.  Plus much more. The photo is from a recent concert in Netanya by a popular band that very cleverly weaved together Israeli, Jewish and American folk music. Their name is appropriately, "The Solomon Brothers".

Hello my friends
My name is Hala from the Gaza Strip. My family and I are suffering from very difficult conditions. We lost our beautiful home in the Gaza Strip and I was displaced with my family, my father, my mother and my grandmother to the south of the Gaza Strip.
Winter has come and the tent we live in is dilapidated and does not protect us from the cold and rain. Please help me to repair our tent and provide our daily needs of food and medicine.
And also to save money so we can travel to Egypt.
Thank you for your solidarity with me

hellooooo!!!
im coming out of my cave to have a serious talk with u guys, sit down, and have a talk with your peepaw
so trump won the election. and i know alot of us are very scared right now, alot of us are very angry right now and you have every fucking right to be and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. your anger is not surrender. Your sadness is not surrender. your fear is not surrender. we are not surrendering, that means he really won. the 3D is saying he won, but stick to your guns. Remember, we survived him once, and we can survive him again.
you need to live. i know it is hard, but you need to stay alive.
in the dark is where we will find each other, we need to stick together.
scream, be loud, be angry, be sad, be disappointed, get down and cry, but do not stay down.
take a break, cry into your pillow, then get up tomorrow, and fight.
stay alive, tell your story
please take care of yourself, unashamedly! do not be ashamed of being queer, being black, being trans, being brown, being an immigrant, being muslim, be those things and be them so loudly that these fascists can't drown the sound of your screams out.
your existence is a cause for revolution, i am fighting for you, and we are fighting for you. i will not give up on you. Please don't give up on yourself. You don't deserve that.
please do not be afraid to message me, ever. even if you're shy, and your hands are shaky, i will hold them without judgement.
this is a safe space for all of you.
if you need a void to scream into, a distraction, or somebody to just mindlessly talk to when you need a friend, message me, please.

For all my Muslim girlies here are some Quotes of Maulana Rumi :
"Everything in the universe is within you, Ask all from your self"
"I searched for god and only found myself, i searched for myself and only found god"
"Live life as if everything is rigged in your favour"
"God made the illusion look real, and the real an illusion"
"Don't knock on the doors of ordinary.Your arms are long enough to reach the door of heaven"
"we seek outside the wonders we carry inside us"
"who sees all beings in his own self and his own self in all beings, loses all fear."
"you went out in search of gold far and wide, but all along you were gold on the inside"
"This universe is not outside of you, Look inside yourself, everything that you want, you already are"
"There is only one being inside all of us"
"In this world full of shapes, there you are with no form"(void)
"The source is within you and this whole world is springing from it"
"close both eyes to see with the other eye"
"I AM in you and I AM you, no one can understand this until he has lost his mind"
"Patience is not sitting and waiting, its foreseeing, its looking at the throne and seeing the rose" (looking at the 3d and still being fulfilled)
"Abandon this world (3d) that you may become king of all worlds"
"Let go of showing off, become nothing so that your small being becomes the shining sun" (void)
"This place (3d) is only a dream. Only a sleeper considers it real. Then death comes like a dawn and you wake up laughing at what you thought was your grief"
"close your eyes (imagine), fall in love (with the state), stay there (persist)"
"Kill the snake of desire in the beginning (fulfill your desire as soon as its on you) or watch out your snake will become dragon"
"This is a subtle truth, what you love you are"
"Don't tell of sufferings, talk of nothing but belssings (dont wallow all day about sufferings but affirm for good things)

Hate and perversion shared by members of a “loving and beautiful “religion of peace” aka lust/viral cult of virility just like all others. It’s no wonder these people spew hate like it’s their job. Claiming to be spiritually renown by praying 5 times a day, yet refusing to eschew any of the seven deadly sins or even controlling your mind so as to not come across as a predatory stalker, really does expose their hypocrisy and undisciplined animalistic primitive nature. Funny how most commentators come across as illiterate as they try their hardest to express their frothing rage, yet their decayed minds fail them. Leaving the 3D and its constructs makes cultists and virus-controlled dominators mad.

?? . RELIGIOUS MINDSET INSPO 🌼 ₊˚ପ⊹
Tumblr media
soo i thought of a way to make religion and the law of assumption coexist which was slightly frustrating because religion is my only limit while loass has none. so i decided to set boundaries to separate my desires from my needs! i am muslim but i guess this also applies to christians or other people of other religions who have doubts, anywayyy !!
in islam, we are told to share our desires with god by praying (and ofc not to self-proclaim god). However, in the law of assumption, the fact is that we have our desires instantly in our imagination and that we live in the end by not caring about them anymore. this leads to not wanting to "ask" for this desire anymore, which is contradictory.
Here is my solution : i decided to separate my desires into two categories ; IMPORTANT desires to ask for and futile desires that are only for the purpose of satisfaction.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚
₊˚ପ⊹ Desires to ask for :: — everything concerning my health and my 5 senses (pains, etc.) — my goals for the future or my studies — wishes and blessings for others — desires concerning the near future, asking that an event goes well — what concerns my 3d — desires beneficial to me/my entourage on religion
₊˚ପ⊹ Desires in my 4d :: — what concerns my 4d — futile desires for the purpose of fulfillment — "selfish"/superficial desires (body, clothes) — scenarios — etc.
my imagination does not disturb anything or anyone! I can do what I want there. I already have what I want and I feel good there, that ain't my problem if it materializes in my 3d. they are not even desires anymore, actually 😭
hope this helped ! looovee

Hi! i saw your DNI special interest statistics post and was super intrigued!
If you ever continue, I would be very interested to see the dichotomy of some of the smaller but more cult like fandoms like TBHK and Omori!
it seems the more popular the fandom, the less saturated with DNI the fandom becomes. so it would be interesting to see more smaller cult fandoms compared to one another. and possibly if the media being 2d art adjacent/animation vs live action or 3d games plays a factor!
Surprisingly, there's still not too many DNIs in these fandoms! I'm going to pick a few musicals to do next and I'm betting those will be a bit crazier, but here's Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun, Omori, and Your Turn To Die compared to each other!
With only 9-13 DNIs in each fandom, the averages and top elements don't really mean much, but I've got some WILD hall of fame DNIs to put under the 'readmore'!!!
(These stats are based on 100 blogs from each fandom tag, roughly half from the top posts and half from the most recent.)
Tumblr media
(here's the previous stats from some other fandoms)
Meaningless Insult Count:  -creep x1 -assholes x2 -'horrible trash' x1
Total “”standard/basic DNI”” Count: 13
Dishonored Fandoms Count:  -DSMP (3) -Harry Potter (2) -Ghost Eyes fan (1) -Danganronpa fans (1) -YBC fans (1) -Obikin shippers "aka pedos" (1) (what about padme/anakin shippers????) -anime blogs (1 sweeping generalization)
Made Me Laugh:  -’if you support JK Rowling or anyone else who is disgraced' -'if you don't like RWBY' -'exclusionists,' 'radical inclusionists' and 'mspec gays' -'exclusionists' and also 'illegitimate identities' -'don't follow if you're going to harass me'
Still A Mystery To Me:  'if you have a garbage can next to your bed' (I assume this is a joke but it came at the end of a serious DNI and gave me whiplash) 'homophobic/transphobic (muslim people who don't support them are fine)' (?????? I have absolutely no comment on this DNI I find it entirely baffling)

Book wrap-up!! I’ve been on an RF Kuang *spree* this week; I finished Babel and Yellowface, and am halfway through The Poppy War! I love love love how her stories are so compelling and addictively well-written; you simply cannot put the book down, even if nothing particularly thrilling is happening!
Babel: Solid 3.5 stars out of 5. I’m not a student of either linguistics or history, so I was absolutely fascinated by the mini-lectures on etymology, and the concept of magic being harnessed from meaning lost in translation was one of the coolest premises I’ve ever come across in a book. The author’s world-building drew more on real historical events rather than attempts at reinventing history with silver magic at its core, which I honestly didn’t have a problem with (though a lot of other readers did!). This story worked perfectly well as low-fantasy for me. The historical aspects seemed well-researched, and the themes of violence, revolution and colonialism were explored in an impactful and creative (if not particularly subtle!) way.
So why, you might ask, was it not a five star read? For me, it was the characters that did it. Robin and Letty are the only characters with any sort of, well, 3D-ness to them! The rest served only as a neat summary (a translation, if you will, and not a very good one) of the ideas, politics and culture of entire countries, or flat out caricatures, all created with the sole intent of making sure the reader Gets the point, which is that Racism is Bad.
Ramy was a particularly disappointing character for me, because his is a story I would’ve loved to read- an Indian brought up in British-occupied India, sent to England to study. His character was instead reduced to quips and political opinions that are expressed in a jarringly modern way, with zero insight into how his culture and experiences as an Indian Muslim shaped these thoughts! We get only a brief interlude where Ramy’s history is explained in a single page, perhaps to make up for the abysmal lack of characterisation throughout the rest of the book. How hard would it have been to have these experiences be something he talks about, has feelings about, is affected by in noticeable ways?! The whole thing felt so impersonal.
Ramy is the only POC character in the story with a surviving family (that he loves dearly and writes to!), yet these two facets of his experience (being a student at Oxford, and being brought up in India with family there) are entirely separate except when the author needs to drive a point home. I moved away from home for college- and I haven’t met a single person there who hasn’t experienced the move in a way that is fundamentally influenced by where they’re from (I’m from Bangalore, and I find the way that my uni’s city shuts down after like 10pm weird! I love the tree-lined roads, because they remind me of home! I miss my family! And these two cities are quite similar, and in the same country. I’d have wayy more to say if I’d been shipped to a new continent.)
Victoire was the same- a single page explaining her backstory, and no characterisation besides her actions toward the end. It is hardly believable that Ramy and Victoire are so desperate to save their homes, their cultures, the parts of themselves that they have to fight to keep- without their connections to these things ever appearing organically. I suppose it just goes to show that representation is tricky business! What I wanted from Ramy’s story might not be what every South Asian wants, and his character was not written to be the main focus of the book. I still love that RF Kuang wrote a character that I can see bits of myself in!
I absolutely would recommend the book. It’s incredibly creative and beautifully written, and explores really important themes.
Yellowface: 3.5 out of 5 again! I’m still unsure if this book was intended as a serious critique of the publishing industry, or even an exploration of the question of who gets to tell which stories. Athena’s complicated relationship with the people whose stories she told (especially the whole diaspora versus resident divide on writing about a country’s history, and her family’s reaction to her books) is something I would’ve liked to see more of, but like that one tumblr post said- critique what the book did, not what it didn’t! June Hayward is incredibly hateable, and given how chronically online I am, I was nodding my head sagely the whole time she was getting put in her place on twitter. It’s an easy, compelling read but it definitely gives you something to think about.

Flat-Earth Theory and the Fake Moon landing
I've heard several variants and reasoning for the flat-earth theory in circulation. The first is an interesting thought experiment: "How can you prove, with reasonable certainty, that the second-hand information you have is correct, without being able to verify it yourself?"
This implies that there's information that we take for granted, that is by definition, unverifiable. There is no way to verify it without doing it yourself, and if you have little faith in the government, why would you believe anything government sanctioned?
Wars have been waged with low-popularity and without faith the government had the best intentions at heart. Look at Vietnam.
And this inspired a lot of flat-earthers to go out and do the experimenta themselves, and teach people how to do the experiments so that they could verify for themselves, and increase faith that the knowledge of our ancestors is reasonable.
For example: We've never been back to the moon. We went exactly one time. And never again. Who's to say that the crew manned actually manned the rocket, and the return capsule was really collected?
Between those two points, even the operators at NASA could've been fooled it was a real mission.
And any debris left on the moon could've been launched there from earth and just left. Like all the space garbage in our atmosphere.
The rest of this pertains to flat-earth "Theory".
The second is a metaphorical concept that relates to the interconnected nature of humanity. We're not as divided ideologically as 3D space would have you believe.
There's also the [World-Turtle] myth. A myth about the world filled with nuance, allegory, and really mostly a mnemonic to remind children that eclipses happen sometimes.
But when atheists or Christians hear "Creation Myth" they get riled up. One because "MYTHS AREN'T REAL AND CAN'T BE BASED ON REAL INFORMATION." and the other because it's not related to the one true Christian (non-jewish, non-muslim) God.
The World-Turtle, however, is one of those myths that has made its way around the world before the modern world was fully discovered. Found in Native American tribal myth...
Being unable to question truths you take for granted, or the inability to find truth in myth, shows a clear lack of critical-thinking.

Just completed I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman
I LOVE Alice Oseman as an author so much. Her characters are so real and 3d. Her placement of events is so proper. It doesn't feel rushed but it also doesn't get boring. She is not Muslim and yet she did so much research for Fereshteh's character that she seems like an actual real person. Same with Jimmy. He is so vulnerable but isn't pathetic. Rowan cares for all of them and sure he can get a bit too much at times but that is what makes him Rowan. His love for Jimmy and Lister OVERFLOWS from the pages of the book. I appreciate Juliet so much for not being an idiot in Pierro's house <3. Bliss Lai was perfect. Alice's work gives me life.
Lister Bird was just Lister Bird I have no words to describe his characters because no words would comprise his character.
I wish I could listen to Joan of Arc it sounds so good.
They would have been big.
